“THE PINK OMBRE TUNIC”

rainbow

………………………..A263353, the OMBRE TUNIC has arrived……and is now avail for ordering! I know many of you have been asking me if and when it was coming back, and what the new colors would be…..I realized, due to your comments, that the new pictures of the new colors have not been posted on the QVC site….so here they are………..PINK……..is the first new color…….Due to the fact that it is an OMBRE print it is hard to pinpoint exactly what the pink color is……What I can say is it is a blue pink…not a peachy pink. It is very difficult to completely control how the colors will come out because one color is overlaying another to create the ombre. This is not a “dip dye” process….it is a multi screen print. The different shades of pink ombre down to different shades of grey……….Personally I prefer this particular coloration worn with BLACK….whether the BLACK MOSS CREPE SKIRT, A262454, above, or the many different options of leggings and pants of different lengths and pant widths that are now avail to you……….Above the SLIM BLACK PONTE PANT, A265615, which is the ideal weight for spring and summer wear. The new BLACK LINEA BODY CAPRI LEGGING, A274374, is perfection for that casual chic look………………….I think the LARIAT NECKLACE, J325469, doubled in GUNMETAL and SILVER gives the look a very MODERN COOL vibe paired with the SILVER BOLD HOOPS, J288005………….My last word of advise……….if you want this tunic top do NOT hesitate……..you snooze you loose, and I am sure when I present it….if it gets the same reception as it did when I first showed it….it will be gone in a flash…..Once again there are not huge quantities, and I do not want any of my loyal customers to be disappointed………I also can not say “if” the top is successful again that I will bring back any of the colors……..I’m all about what’s next…………….enjoy………………..much Love……………Louis

I was just on your web site and when I saw this tunic was back in such a magnificent pink, I IMMEDIATELY logged into QVC and grabbed one! I have all the original colors and love this piece so much. THANK YOU, Louis, for bringing it back. It’s so flattering and feels so nice on.

Louis, thanks for bringing this back. It’s so comfortable, sharp, and a dream to travel with.

    Hi Louis.

Love this tunic Of course I love all of your designs.

I wore your woven printed cropped pant that I purchased last year today and received so many compliments I came home and ordered another pair in blue ! I had set these aside since I was a tad chubbier last year and they were a bit snug and today they are a perfect fit. So happy with these pants and all of my Linea designs. Planning to take tunic to Ireland and I hope Paris late summer

    Love you Louis. !

      Sounds like a wonderful trip.

The new ombré tunics arrived yesterday and look great with the gray Leisure pants. I missed out on the peacock one (already had the flame & fuchsia tunics) last year and was able to get it this time around. As you know I really like the majority of your print tops; I hope I am not in the minority for requesting that the buyer opt for print tops again.

Chris, you are not in the minority. I love his print tops. Have this ombré in all original colors and just ordered the aqua. I especially love the printed top he did last year – got the beautiful blue and the rich sienna(or nutmeg? or something like that). It was an engineered placement top I think. Anyway, I hope he does more too. They fit my lifestyle well. So easy to throw on with a pair jeans, cute shoes and look good.

    Louis,
I am one of those loyal customers. Why would I not purchase your designs when I get so many compliments!!??
Loving the ombre and this time I won’t miss out. Ordered the pink. A color difference between your pictures and the “on line” film. Doesn’t matter to me though, I’ll love it no matter the coloring.
You’re talking about Hollyhocks–one of my most favorite “old timey” flowers. Simply love their pretty faces. My grandmother gave me her lot of Hollyhocks some years ago.I am a grandmother now, of 6. Still have the Hollyhocks going. She taught me to put coffee grounds and crushed up egg shells in the dirt near the roots. Works every year.

    1. louis dell'olio

My mother did the same thing….she had a green thumb…..does decafe grinds work the same??

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

All coffee grounds might do is act as a compost along with those egg shells (calcium added to the soil).
There are now fungal resistant hollyhocks now– no rust seen on these newer varieties.

      2. Shari

Yes, I use decaf grounds. I use a large canister and I just keep collecting the grounds and shells for a week, then on Saturdays, they go one the Hollyhocks. I also use thus combo on my Hydrangeas.
People walk by,see the Hydrangeas on the front walk way and if I’m out there will ask what fertilizer I use. When I tell them egg shells and grounds, they are taken aback. My two hands won’t fit around a single bloom. In a single plant ,they go from light pink to dark purple, depending an where the roots are reaching the most alkaline.
I’m rambling. I could talk gardening for days! My passion, besides my harp.Have a beautiful day!

        1. louis dell'olio

Not rambling at all! Thanks for the info….We should have a “TIPS” section!

          1. Shari

Thanks for the kind words! My husband would disagree, I’m sure!!
Many times before an outing, he’ll say, “now sweetheart, keep the garden talk to a minimum if possible” I just silently chuckle, with a “yes dear”.
So sometime, when we’re over your way and might, just might run into you, I’ll treat you both to a Lobster salad and and iced tea and we can talk garden talk, and he’ll just have to deal with it! Hahahaha
            Have a good day!

I couldn’t wait for pics and placed my order the day after they were posted on the Q. The soft colors are beautiful.

  7. Carol

I think many of your loyal customers ordered blind. No snoozing for the veterans of Linea wars! I agree with you about new colors every reorder, since many of us will buy every color you choose on this top. It’s that good!

    1. Grace

We’re ALL loyal customers, Carol 🙂

  8. Ruth

Blessings on your little hollyhocks. May they take root and flourish!

  9. louis dell'olio

Dear Ruth….thank you so much. It’s always a pleasure and very gratifying to hear that the items you have selected have worked out and you are pleased…….I do appreciate it. Please don’t forget to leave your reviews on the QVC Linea site. I know it’s a pain and time consuming, but it does make a difference whether something gets reordered or not.

    1. Ruth

I do sometimes leave reviews on the QVC Linea site, but thank you for encouraging me to do so even more. I guess I I feel like the opinions of “little ol’ me” can’t make much of a difference and it’s nice to be reminded that my thoughts can be helpful.
I was just out staking iris buds before the coming rain storm. The beautiful gradation of colors of the buds reminds me of the ombréd tones in your new tunics.

Dear Louis, Thank you for posting these photos showing the colors of the new versions of Printed Hi Lo Tunic #A263353. I love the new grayish shades of pink and Aqua! I have ordered all three colors in my usual XS. I hope they fit.
All the pieces I ordered on May 9th in XS fit like they are custom made for me. BTW, I adore the slate blue color in the high Lo top from May 9th which reads like such a rich gray on me with my blue eyes and blonde hair.
Louis, you are amazing and I love, love love your clothes!
Please receive these comments with all the admiration that accompanies them,
    Ruth

If only I could really capture those colors…..I too was out staking my Holly Hock. they are seedlings from last year and they are quite tall already!…..BTW…..every opinion counts!

      1. Ruth

Do your hollyhocks self-sow? I’m looking for foxgloves that usually turn up in my borders, but don’t see any yet.

        1. louis dell'olio

Sometimes yes and sometimes no…..this year there are 5 growing….a lucky year. Of course they aren’t all where I’d like them to be so I transplanted two. I jhope I didn’t shock them to death!

          1. Ruth

Blessings on your little hollyhocks. May they take root and flourish!
