“THE CREAM PULLOVER”

dad1

…………………Leisure wear has taken on a new glamour. It seems every designer is introducing a leisure line or blends leisure clothes effortlessly into their collections…..The “Ladies who Lunch” is no longer what women aspire to look like, but make no doubt, “GLAMOUR” is never out of style…..Looking good is always “IN”………The CREAM PULLOVER, A280472, above is the perfect example of looking good in leisure clothes………..The fabric is new to Linea, and is the same fabric that’s in the LACE UP PULLOVER with the HOOD. It is a FRENCH TERRY with a 60% cotton/ 40% polyester blend. The black trims are made in my 92% cotton/8% spandex knit. I call this fabric my “DONEGAL TERRY”, because it has tiny specks of color. They are very subtle and you have to look close to see them, but it separates this French terry from the others. The weight is perfect to wear year round whenever the weather calls for it. During the winter months layer it with something under it for added warmth…… like a BLACK TURTLENECK. The fit is easy…..It’s meant to glide over the body and keep in mind it was meant to have room for layering. The length of the xs is approx 26 inches. Even though it has the “look” of a drop shoulder it actually has a set in sleeve……..Many Leisure and active wear pieces are made in factories that specialize in those types of garments and active wear fabrics. However, they are usually mass production factories, and I don’t always find the attention to detail or workmanship up to par…….My Leisure pieces are all made in smaller factories that “sew” beautifully, and the workmanship is incredible ………Look at the close up of the neck and shoulder detail. There is a binding in self fabric on either side of the open jewel neckline bordering the black…..it’s beautifully made. The inserted black stripe down the shoulder is also beautifully executed. This is a detail that has become very popular on many designer lines, both on their Designer lines as well as their leisure lines. The CREAM with the BLACK really has a LUXE look. The cream is very similar to alabaster, and they can be worn together, but they are not exactly the same….TONAL……You can wear this top, a glamorous “sweat shirt”, with leggings and sneakers or sandals as well as a black pencil skirt, black tights and heels. Above I have it with the A276294/A276295, crepe gauze pant, the cotton knit span legging and the vintage black Ponte maxi skirt and boots………….I think the GUNMETAL BAR NECKLACE, J325471, and the GUNMETAL DEMI HOOP EARRING, J270391, are the perfect accents to your leisure pieces. They are minimal, but make a statement, and if your accessories don’t make a statement why bother wearing them at all……………………….enjoy looking good………much Love……………Louis

    Louis,
Have mercy on my credit card. It’s working overtime right now. I don’t need another thing but WANTSY gets in the way. Love this top.

Fabulous! Just when I thought I was finished for the newest offerings!
    This is casual, yet refined.
I love the fabric vs. the cotton/spandex leisure. I hope you will do more in this fabrication.
    Thanks!
