“THE PLUM OMBRE TUNIC”

blueberry1

………………….PLUM…….IRIS…….LAVENDER…….LILAC….GRAPE……..are all the colors represented in this “PLUM” OMBRE TUNIC, A263353………..We all know this was Elizabeth Taylor’s favorite color. Legend has it….it was the color of her eyes…If you don’t think purple is your color, [I can’t think of a good reason why], I strongly suggest you take the leap…..I can promise you will get many compliments……It’s always fun to surprise people who “think” they know you so well, and see you in a color you have never worn before!…….The High/Low hem works particularly well in this tunic because of the print. You can see from the side photos how the deepest colors descend on the body……giving a long and slimming effect. I chose the FROSTED PINK NECKLACE and EARRING set, J321803, because it was PERFECT. The frosted drops actually have a lavender tint which looks marvelous against the purples. The necklace takes the top to another level. Women and men will stare at how seamlessly beautiful it all looks……….This color brings back some childhood memories…..Who made GRAPE KOOLAID ICE CUBES????…..my favorite flavor. My mother used to make them for me, in the old ice trays, and in the summer they were the BEST……As you sucked on them the deep grape color would get paler and paler until it was clear….and then it was gone…….good memories of summer!………………………………………..enjoy……………….much Love…………………………Louis

Although all of the ombre tops have amazing color combinations, I am very drawn to this grape purple color. It is a surprise color especially because it is so unusual. There is something about the purple tone that I find beautiful. I should wear it more because I have reddish hair. Purple is a color I do not have in my closet and I am definitely going to take the plunge and go for it.
I, too, remember making grape ice cubes in those metal ice cube trays. However, filling them with root beer was my favorite. And Louis, I think a top with a root beer color would be very attractive. You are knocking it out of the ball park this season and I am happy to be the beneficiary of your wonderful designs.

UMMMMMM…..root beer ice cubes that sounds really good…..Purple on a red head is fabulous, and you’re right….it’s not something we see to often, but when we do it’s a wonderful site.

Purple is my favorite color – I know this beauty will be mine! The other two are so pretty – how to chose? I’m blonde with green eyes – so I am leaning towards getting the celadon too. Is the strawberry super bright? I have almost all of the colors that you have made in this top and each one is gorgeous. Thank you for making a purple one!

Dear Jana, the Strwberry isn’t super bright. It’s really pretty colors.

Love just about anything in the ‘blue’ family (vs yellow), and the purple family most particularly. BTW even have bedroom painted “Lazy Sunday” (Behr) and it is the most restful, most soothing and ethereal ever. ET’s famous eyes…my adoptive Mom used to play with her as a child and said they were periwinkle…so gorgeous as these shadings. Would I be wrong to wear with espresso super ponte pants? XO

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Casey….with which color do you want to wear the espresso pant

I love dark browns with light blue, periwinkle and many shades of purple. In this case referring to Plum Ombre Tunic…
