“THE “BIG DEAL” LIGHT BLUEBERRY TUNIC”

blueberry7

………………This PEBBLE CREPE TUNIC, A290929, will be my second…..”BIG DEAL” on QVC2…………….It is scheduled for May 30th at 9:00PM. This will be a one hour LIVE PRESENTATION……I will also be on May 31st at 6PM [a live QVC2 show], and 8PM [a live QVC2 PM Style show]……………..LIGHT BLUEBERRY……is the perfect name for this color…..Imagine Blueberry sauce and VANILLA ICE CREAM……YUM!! Though at first glance you may think this is similar to the April Tunic, A288390, they are actually quite different. The similarities are that they are both Pebble Crepe tunics [70% Rayon, 30% Polyester], with 3/4 sleeves [for a wonderfully casual look ROLL the sleeves UP], pockets, and have similar necklines, but the BODIES ย are completely DIFFERENT. This new tunic is not a swing style so there is much less volume…….It is SLIGHTLY A-Line for lots of ease and wearing comfort. It has a HIGH/LOW hem [not too exaggerated] as opposed to an asymmetrical hem with long side points. The length of this tunic is approx. 28 inches for the xs, which is shorter than the previous tunic. This tunic has an easy cool airy fit……nothing close to the body. I always suggest going with your regular Linea size, but always check the measurements first!……The back of the new tunic has an INVERTED PLEAT detail which you can see in the photos above. This gives extra ease without creating more volume………………What is wonderfully the same with all Pebble Crepe tops is that they are wonderfully COOL and COMFORTABLE……Choose what ever bottom you like. I have chosen the PEBBLE CREPE CROP PANT, A288391, in NAVY…………….SILVER seemed to be the right accent, and the PALM LEAF necklace and EARRING were just perfect!…..There are very limited quantities left on these collectors pieces. If you are new to Linea you may not know about my infamous and extremely popular PALM FROND NECKLACE and Earring…..Give it a look…..They really are spectacular!……True COLLECTORS ITEMS…………….enjoy……………………………much Love………………….Louis

Hi Louis, I bought the blueberry. It is beautiful! I was worried about sizing but stayed with the size according to my measurements and it fits perfectly. The color is beautiful, and I would like to request that you add these “ice cream colors” to the A288395 scoop neck hi-low knit top? AND, I love the high low hem, and I hope it stays forever!

Dear Louis…I received my blueberry and I’m in love with absolutely everything about it. It’s phenomenal. I’m hoping and praying that it will do well enough to be brought back in more colors next year…hibiscus, and turq, please! I think it’s the summer version of the swing sweater in terms of appealing to the majority. Thank you!

Louis- Once again kudos on a fantastic Spring/Summer collection. I think the
best. Regarding the May 30 big deal- how does the sizing compare with the other
pebble crepe pieces? Should we size down or stay with our normal size? THANKS!

    1. louis dell'olio

That depends on how the other pebble crepe pieces fit. This has a set in sleeve and the Pebble Crepe has very little stretch….so the measurements to look for are shoulder and bust…..waist and hip shouldn’t be a problem unless you are extraordinarily large. I always say to stay with your normal size…..it’s won’t be too small, and you want these summer garments to be roomy…..they look better that way.

Louis- Thanks for the advice. I’m planning on buying several.

Louis, I adore these and am going to scoop them up by the handful to wear with pencil skirts this summer. Perfect work outfit!

What a cool, tranquil color, and that inverted pleat is just the ticket to make this lovely but unfussy design special. I’m hardly out of my gardening clothes these days, but once I am, I want these kinds of beautiful but easy pieces to put on to make me feel and look good. That inverted pleat will make this tunic float without a mass of fabric, & I love that.

Love this silhouette, Louis, and the colors are good enough to eat. Blueberry, raspberry, and pebble crepe. It’s all I need for dessert.

Oh my! Blueberry and Seafoam for me! Love!

Louis! How to improve upon the already fabulous Pebble Crepe tunic? You have done it with the subtle high/low hem (flatters and looks young and stylish), back pleat detail and the delicious, wearable colors.
Not going to decide between the berry colors. Will add both to my Linea wardrobe! Already preparing for the compliments to come on these beauties. Thank you! A Big Deal, indeed!

I am also a fan of the subtle high-low hem. Our bodies are rather “high-low” and for me, these lines just follow the lines of my body and make for a flowy, comfortable look. MANY years ago in my bobby-soxer days starting in about the fifth grade, we used to wear menswear inspired up-and-down shirttail hems with our jeans. Jeans rolled up and socks rolled down. Haven’t worn bobby sox since then except when they got lighter in weave and we rolled them all the way up in high school and jeans went full-length LOL! I personally like clothes that are comfortable to wear and move in; and especially in the summer, ones that allow air circulation. These new “Big Deal” tops fill the bill exactly for me!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Barbara…..I had a strong feeling you would like these. They are exactly how you describe them……lots of air circulation…..LOL

Well…include me with the ladies who love the flowing design of swing, high low hems, and the flattering inverted pleat in the back. Especially in the pebble crepe, this styling just glides over the body and always looks elegant. I am definitely buying this top in several colors. The back inverted pleat is a lovely, lovely feature. And, with these beautiful solid colors, my jewelry looks fabulous. I have ten pebble crepe tops in my closet and LOVE and WEAR every single one often. Louis, I’d love to see some pebble crepe with colars. Thanks for designing different styles that satisfy all ladies.

Personally, as a woman who always wants to look good, and loves the compliments from husband and grown sons as to “Wow, looking good!” ~ I am thrilled with Louis’s many variations on the high low hem – especially the more subdued versions like this one. I agree with Louis that it is a designer tool that slims. Please keep it in the line-up. There are always other silhouettes in the line-up to chose from and I’m glad Linea includes them. I understand if you hate it but hope all can give place for the opposing point of view so that we can all look our best. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m in for the blueberry and the raspberry crush. Louis had me at first sight of these colors but sealed the deal with the blueberry and cream image. Yum is right!

      ITA!

  12. MadameDuFiffers

Oh Louis, I love it! It’s perfect in my opinion. The high/low hem is the only asymmetrical-type hem I’ll wear, but not too exaggerated. Yours is done right! Thank you for the sleeve length, too (I was worried lol). The inverted pleat is a wonderful designer bonus. This is the one I’ve been waiting for!! I hope Q loads it before the show and they better not neglect putting the click here measurements up either (they’ve done it before grrrr). I’m in for the blueberry, and I think I’ll take a chance on the luscious raspberry, too. Again, it’s perfect…thank you so much.

I get what Goldie is saying about slowly losing the high/low hem. For me the issue is that it limits what jacket or sweater I can wear with it because I don’t like the look of the back of the hem hanging below a jacket or sweater. On its own I do like the look of this top…the swing style with the inverted pleat…I plan to get either the white or the raspberry!

  14. Goldie76

Oh my, a challenge. ๐Ÿ™‚ As I sip my second cup of coffee, I will try to explain my love/hate relationship with the “dip at the back of the hip.” On some pieces, I have to acknowledge that I look slimmer with the dip, but with others, I think I look larger or more emphasis is placed on my larger buttock region.

Of course the real challenge here is my shape. I am a mixture of in’s and out’s. Fuller bust, comparatively smallish waist that, in my heyday, was 24 inches but is still much smaller than my hips. Obviously, I try to accentuate the positive when I dress. My extra weight has not helped my cause of looking my best, of course. When out of control, as I am now, my body is best termed pear-shaped.

So, maybe it has to do with the length of the top as to whether or not I like what it “does” for me. You know, dressing is a matter of smoke and mirrors to some extent, isn’t it? Am I making any sense here? In the end, I have to agree there are merits to the dip.

    1. louis dell'olio

You make perfect sense. The thing is when doing a high low hem there has to be enough room at the bottom so it “flows” over the bottom and not CUPS. Sometimes I see photos on QVC of profiles of models showing the high low hems, and the top is cupping under the butt…..never a good look……which tells me the bottom didn’t have enough width. If it looks this way on the model!!

  15. Goldie76

What a delightful color! This or Raspberry? Oh boy… Love the inverted pleat in the back and that we are slowly losing that high/low hem.

    1. louis dell'olio

Curious…let’s discuss….why do you say that about the high low hem? I think as a design feature it’s a flattering one. I don’t think of it as a gimmick or a fad. I think that extra coverage and the fly away fabric takes away from focusing on the horizontal which can broaden the hip. How do you see it?…..Blueberry or raspberry…..though decision….both delicious!
