“THE BLACK WHISPER KNIT”

silver6

…………………………..If you can never have enough good navy sweaters……..then you certainly can never have enough good BLACK SWEATERS! Especially when they are such an essential as this. This is a black sweater you can own multiples of………..What a great backdrop this black sweater is for JEWELRY, in this case my new “INDIA PENDANT”. I have the chain doubled which is easy to do because the back of the pendant has a flip enhancer!…and YES it will be on my QVC2 Jewelry Show…….The little earring with the red stone, as the center of the pendant, comes with the pendant…………..I have paired the top with the matching pencil skirt in black as well as the SLIM PONTE pant in OLIVE, A265615, which I think is perfect with the BRASS OX PENDANT. Going forward these olive pants will be more and more important for this fall and NEXT SPRING…..they are definitely a wardrobe builder………don’t be without!……………………………………………………….

…………….enjoy………………………much Love………………………..Louis

Please explain the difference between the India Pendant and the Brass Ox Pendant because I think I would be interested in both. I have a vintage Afghanistan Kuchi Necklace that is similar and I love it but it is silver and it would be nice to have one in gold tone.

They are one in the same……..Brass Ox is a plating color like gold silver gunmetal etc. It’s a brass color that has been oxidized to give that antique finish. So when you see OX after a color like Silver Ox, Gold Ox or Copper Ox you know they have been antiqued and are not shiny gold, shiny silver etc.

Thanks so much for the explanation. I thought, having an Indian inspiration, it had something to do with oxen!:)

Same here, Ruth. Precisely my thinking.

Louis, we learn SO much about clothing and jewelry from you! Ox = oxidation, therefore antiqued. Who knew? (Well, obviously you did lol.)

Will the India pendant be too much with the India tunic?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate……I have not tried them together. For me it’s not a matter of too much….it’s more if the colors work together. Think Iris Apfel…..it’s never too much. Sometimes when you add even more it works better.

Dear Kate….OK you aroused my curiosity, so I had to try them together and YES, I do like them together. It’s very real, and by that I mean it doesn’t look like you tried to coordinate your necklace with your clothing….you just put it on……For me it works.

I’m very glad to hear it. I was going to buy it but now even more excited as I love those tunics.

          Louis,

Does it work well with all three India tunics? Which one did you pair it with? Thanks!
