“THE FAWN WK DRESS”

reefer9

…………………….FAWN…………………This is a very HIGH END color……a color you would find in top quality cashmere, alpaca and very expensive yarns…….Lines like Loro Piana, and Brunello Cucinelli use colors like the Fawn as part of their essential color pallet. It’s a luxurious rich color……….This is a color that you often see on an Armani runway…….The soft silky quality of Whisper Knit is the perfect yarn to dye in Fawn. Of course ideally I would recommend beautiful soft taupe suede boots, but on the practical side Black suede will do just fine…………..I thought the MINT MIST SPIRIT NECKLACE was just the right touch to keep everything at a “whisper”……….not too much or too little. The color looks wonderful against Fawn…………………………………………………..

…………….enjoy…………………Much Love………………….Louis

The dresses are lovely. Do you think the fawn dress will look good with the new alabaster leather and knit jacket?

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes Cathy, even though they are different colors I like them together. The dress is darker then the jacket which I like. They are in the same mood, if you know what I mean.

Yeah!. The last WK dress were in colors that were not good for my skin tones. This is spot on for me!

Louis, How close is this to your stone color? I have the stone suede jacket with the knit sleeves. Lovely, classic dress. Thanks for the fit advice!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cheryl…..sorry for the late reply….couldn’t find the stone jacket. Sadly I didn’t like the colors together. The stone next to the Fawn looks green. I’m sure some would think they look fine. I’ve certainly seen a lot worse, but if you bare looking for something close….they are not.

Be still my heart. This is so exquisite in every way. The perfect dress.

Wondering how your dark brown quilted vest from several years ago worn over the fawn dress with my dark brown riding books/ I have the blue vest I will wear with the black dress in a work environment. I bought the vests with your Ponte drawstring pants…in brown and gray with bodysuits. The vests are great with your shirts 2. But I wish you could bring those drawstring pants back…your pants sell out! Please consider!

Dear Victoria…..I have discussed the draw string pant with the buyers many times, and have told them I have had requests many times, and their answer to me is drawstrings don’t sell and those drawstring pants didn’t do well enough for a reorder. Which is all true. There is little for me to argue with.

Thanks…I thought with the recent focus on leisure clothes..even women who did not buy them then might re think buying them. Perhaps the one change would be to add bit more elastic to waist band but stll have drawstring for tighter adjustment. I adore those pants…

Victoria….I don’t think they have been successful with many lines or else they wouldn’t object to them….They don’t like the hanging strings????

The brown vest will look great with brown boots.

    Louis,
The dresses are gorgeous! I love your fawn color…if you do more scarves…would love one in that color!

Love the fawn color Louis it’s so versatile with all of your jewelry and WK cardigans. I forgot this dress was waiting in the wings and I love your dresses.

You had me at V-neck and long sleeves!

This is such a luxe color. I’ll bet it looks especially good on blondes (such as Jac!).

Just beautiful Mr. D.O. — I haven’t worn dresses in years but this one has changed my mind. Another true elegant classic. Thank you.
