……………………I could not let this very special day go unacknowledged. It was always a very special and happy day for Jac and I. I thank Jac every day for saving every note, and every card we have ever written or have given to one another. They have given me such peace. Yes, I cry reading each one, but the memories become vivid, and alive. Someone asked if I would buy a card for Jac for this Valentine’s day? I said no…..the only cards that mean anything to me are the ones we shared….the ones we read to each other. So, I displayed ALL the cards we have given to each other over the years, and read each message we wrote to one another anew. The words and the meanings are stronger than ever. These are the only cards I will ever need. The ones we gave to each other.

Louis, my heart and soul aches for you. You both shared a love, anyone watching you both knew, and that love was cherished. You both were one of the lucky ones, and rejoice in the love you both share. I hope to god, QVC doesn’t drop your line ever, you have superior items. I could be completely wrong, but they are making the shows, more about fashion, and most are not good. >< peace and love always.
Louis, I’m late to respond but just wanted to say I was thinking of you yesterday. I wore my new red top with the peplum hem. Love it! Side note: the day before I wore the new camo WK sweater with the celadon necklace. Wow!! Great items from your last collection.
Anyway, I am glad you have all the old cards and notes to look through. I have saved all those things over the years too. Now I cherish them. Such great memories. Hugs to you.

Thank you for thinking of all of us on Valentine’s Day. Your message was the only one I received this year. My husband of 51 years has Alzheimer’s and no longer remembers things like Valentine’s Day. Jac was so wise to save every card and note because now you have all of those wonderful memories. Your post encouraged me to find the cards and notes I have from my husband so that I don’t feel as lonely on days such as Valentine’s.

We too saved ALL our cards from every occasion. I would rather a card than a gift and have kept all notes and cards our daughter – made/bought. My mother and father didn’t save anything so I don’t have many things from my young years, hence I wanted to keep all the beautiful hand written messages. Yesterday was our wedding anniversary and I kept you in my thoughts. We don’t go out, just celebrate at home – it’s become too commercialised for us. You truly are a gentleman and a loving husband, Jac will be watching over you keeping you strong and silently supporting you. Thank you for sharing once again. Love Janey

I too have the very first Valentine Jac gave me many many years ago It’s a tiny card and has yellowed with age, but I cherish it…..It sits on my night table where I can see it just before I turn the lights out. If I could only turn the clock back to that day…….
