Home Safe and Sound

It is so good to be home after a whirl wind day at QVC! We woke up Monday mkorning at 2am to be at the Q by 3:30am. Then I had to work with Abby, the stylist assigned for my show. She already had all of my sketches I sent with the models assigned so when I arrived the clothes were lined up for me to check….I added the accessory bags to each outfit…..went through it one more time with Abby, and we were ready to go. Then off to the salon to get my face spray painted…LOL……………Next my meeting with Alberti! We had never met and I had never seen him in action so this was going to be a new experience. He was terrific, and I knew immediately we would have a good time. With Alberti….what you see is what you get. He is the nicest guy…and he know what he is doing! He knew everything about the line and was well aware about the “Linea Body” and “Linea Jewelry”……which was refreshing. The models love him so that was a good sign….a good time was had by all and the show exceeded what we hoped for…..One down…three to go! Next up FEW with Pat and Rachel…..your on…your off…..They are always fun to be with even if it’s in the blink of an eye……..next!…..On to a 1 and 1/2 hour meeting with the buyers to go over Spring 2015 which went very well, and a brief break back to the hotel to change clothes and wash the goop off my face…….Then back to the Q by noon to start all over again………worked with Erika, the stylist for the 2pm show, and again she had it all lined up according to my sketches, so it was quite easy. The accessory bags were put on each out fit ans we discussed special instructions, especially  some quick changes for the models……….back to the salon to get spray painted again!……A quick meeting with Leah and the show was ready to start. The show did exceedingly very well….thanks to all of you! Then I had to run to a 3:00 meeting…..and right on to a 4pm jewelry meeting . I saw the first samples of spring made by the new factory….I think you will be happy……It’s a long way off….so my lips are SEALED!!!!!!!….Next up PM Style…..Salon for a touch up. I was able to spend some time with Bob, as in Mackie, in one of the Green rooms, and we caught up on the Hollywood gossip…..He has great stories, but Joe his assistant, who’s a hoot, has even better ones! It’s always a pleasure to work with Sandra even if it was too brief…………………………………Then I had to pack up the caravan….pack the car, and back to the hotel where, alone, I watched the VOICE and went to bed……..Got up early….got myself a Starbucks,  and drove the three hours home to my three babies who were so happy to see me. Unfortunately, Jac had to leave after the 2Pm show and drove home by herself which I was not too thrilled about. We took two cars down to PA so she could get back for another appointment…………….All in all it was a spectacular day….and everyone was pleased……………I hope you all enjoyed the shows, and were able to order what you wanted. Now, let’s keep our fingers crossed that when you get it you are happy with what you receive!…………………………Don’t forget……I will be on PM Style this coming Monday………Six more ours of driving…..To bad you don’t get the equivalent of frequent flyer miles for driving…..LOL…………………………enjoy…………………and I’m hoping it all works out for you…………….much Love, Louis

Fabulous shows, Louis! Truly enjoyed watching and ordering. It was my first time seeing Alberti, too, and he did seem like a lot of fun. My pinstripes were already here when the show aired and they fit to perfection. Navy suit and black pants for me. Two pair of the navy pants, in fact, as they are my dream pant.

Can’t wait to see what’s up your sleeve for October!

Thanks for the update. I watched the show on my I pad, as I am on a trip. Loved it. I also placed orders ahead of time so I know packages are waiting for me at home. Just loved everything. I am now obsessing on the shawl/poncho Brenda had with the pinstripe jacket. sneak peek soon? Thank you for everything.

The red shawl is Jac’s shawl. It’s cashmere and it was from one of my AK collections.

    Hi Louis,

I am so glad you and Jac got home safe and sound. What a wonderful day of you and your fabulous clothes! It is always a treat when you are on. I wear Linea everyday. I receive more compliments at work from my customers, both male and female. I owe it all to you. Thank you for your creative genius and making all of your Linea Ladies look beautiful!

    PINSTRIPES !!!!!

Jac looked as though she had stepped from a Paris runway in that suit, there’s NOTHING like couture on the body, it comes to life. The only Pinstripe I DON”T HAVE is navy to I sprung for it to wear with my NYDJ, along with the nutmeg scarf

Just a note about the WK dresses, perfection, got them yesterday. They are lush, weighted and hourglass ready. I got the shawl to complete them. And will they be great with my VC riding boots, as well as my UGG shooties? YES. 🙂

I bet LINEA fashions were ALL OVER THE QVC LOBBY for the Fashion Day finale… when they save the BEST FOR LAST. Next time, please take photos, if you can.

So glad you made it home safely. CIAO, Cela.

    p.s I’ve met Bob, he is a SWEETHEART !

I would like to report that there were Linea fashions in the QVC lobby, but not a one…..maybe next time???

Hi, Louis. Show was fabulous–somehow I ordered 9 more items—and I had already placed a pre-show order for the Peacoat and Oversized tunic sweater, Wing-collared shirt, etc.—so I just loaded up the cart with the both pinstripe jackets, pants, the Lace pieces in both colors (worried about the sizing on Lace jacket) and Pink Wing collar shirt—those were the ADDITIONAL 9 pieces. Why did I think i could resist the pinstripe—when it is practically in my DNA!

As for driving vs flying—this time of year (or anytime for that matter) planes are nothing but flying germ factories—better off in the car.
