“THE MAGENTA TOP & SKIRT”

dress4

……………………..I have been getting lots and LOTS of requests lately for…………..MAGENTA……………..here it is………the top and the skirt are both avail in this rich saturated FUCHSIA color……much richer than the QVC photo which looks a bit dull and washed out….This Fuchsia is not either of those things. This makes a great two piece dress. Again, an advantage for those of you who may need two different sizes for your top and bottom. It would also look great with a black pant or the black skirt in the same fabric, which is a terrific separate skirt. Where it know with one of my Fancy LINEA BODY TIGHTS…like theĀ  PINSTRIPE, HERRINGBONE or for dressier occasions the ALL OVER LACE…..for a more THOUGHT OUT pulled together look……..Do not think for one minute that the MAGENTA SKIRT can only be worn with the matching top! You will be limiting yourself to many other possibilities!! First the most obvious…..A black top, black tights and any type of black sleek boot, shoe boot or shoe……Next….pair it with print tops you may already own…..You know….those tops that up until now you could only wear with black or white bottoms………A255147, the STAIN GLASS TOP, which I believe is on clearance….and……my most favorite……MOSAIC PRINT TOP, A255179……both look great with the Magenta skirt…..Tights or no tights…..boots or sandals….this becomes a 12 month outfit……………..I chose to accessorize this Fuchsia outfit with my tutti fruitti glass bead necklace, but almost every accessory works with the top….which really is the perfect backdrop for beautiful pieces…………………….enjoy…………….much Love…………………………Louis

Ladies, I received mine! Omg, it’s gorgeous fabric, it drapes beautifully. I hope we will see this fabric again, same style, but long belled sleeves! Personally, I ordered up a size, I have weight in the middle. Perfect fit for me. I’ve posted on our Forum and the individual Q review. Throw some pearls on…wow! Thank you, Louis.

Oh my….this solid magenta top and the mosaic tile in magenta which I already have would look lovely together. I just ordered the cobalt mosaic tile print skirt since it popped back in my size I already have the top but I prefer solid top or bottom with prints. The mosaic print is stunning up close. I love your prints they are so rich and vivid and wash beautifully.

    Dear Louis,

How might you describe the difference between this Magenta color and the Raspberry in the Pea Coat and Funnel Neck Sweater? On my monitor they look similar. Thank You for all the help; stay safe in the storm!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy…the raspberry is much darker and has more wine in it. The magenta is brighter [not too bright] and lighter

I’m soooooo glad you showed the real color here! I looked on line and I was like, eh. But I come here, and OMG. In my cart

For some reason they never get the color right. It amazes me

I very much want to order this top in Magenta right now. However, your comment not to size up has me in a stoop. I usually order a medium and my bust size falls a between medium and large on the size chart. usually mediums are a 40 chest in your tops. Dang. Now I do not know what to do.
I do not want this to be a return item. The top is really lovely.

Dear Jackie…..this is why I don’t like to give fit suggestions. My suggestions are really for those who do not have any specific fit issues, and always take the same size. You should go by the garment measurements and decide. This top is not a “fitted” close to the body top, even though it has shape. It is always a question when you are between sizes……I would still recommend the medium…..you don’t want it baggy

Thanks for your reply, Louis. I am going to order the medium. If it isn’t right, I’ll go for the large. the color is FAB!

Dearest Louis–I’m thinking of putting the magenta top with the navy skirt for a “color blocked” dress look. Do you think that will work? I’m definitely getting both of the pieces in the navy, and I have the magenta tile print skirt, so I have things (don’t spit out your coffee as I know you know I have things). Just wondering what you think of the two different solids.

They look fine together….the navy is so dark it will go with anything. Think of it as a substitute for black.

Louis, FYI, the Q is calling the color “Magenta” as I guess they can when they are holding the pen!

These new pieces are now on my Buy List in both Black and Magenta/Fuchsia. I know you recommend the Magenta Mosaic Tile print Top over the Magenta Skirt—but what about the opposite—do you like the Magenta Moss Top over the Magenta Mosaic Tile Print Skirt–do you like the print on the bottom? I do have both Mosaic Tile pieces, so I’m thinking I get some great versatility combining them.

How’d you make out with the snow in CT–we got slammed up here in Longmeadow, MA—but I’ve seen worse. I just got plowed out but I’m going to stay snug in the house all day and make my Linea List for Friday!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheesh……they are correct….Magenta is the name we decided to call it….I changed the post…..YES!!! I like print bottoms with solid tops….remember, when I showed the print skirts two of them were with solid tops…one was the solid WK sexy tank….don’t remember the other…I think something in black on Kate……….We got a good amount of snow….just enough to make things pretty, but it’s a very wet heavy snow…as they called it on the news “heart attack snow” I’ve been plowed and shoveled….now just waiting for the next one on Monday……as long as it’s not Thursday when we drive down.

What a visual delight! All I need is for the skirt to cover my knees (don’t know if that will happen, but I can judge from how it fits you models).

The world is beautiful when one wears fuchsia. And I have that tutti-frutti necklace. Wonderful!
