“THE MERLOT & BLACK NUBBY KNIT TOP

Milano20

………………………………..MERLOT & BLACK is the second color I am offering in this NUBBY KNIT TOP and SKIRT………………….As a two piece dress it’s very CHIC, and solves many fit problems for those of you who need different sizes top and bottom….Also, the silhouette of this top is perfect for all body types….Pears and Apples are you paying attention!……..As a separate top it becomes a terrific sport wear piece. This top and the WING COLLAR SHIRT, A259103 or the KATE shirt, A214116, are perfect. The curved shirt bottom peaks out just enough to give you that “down town” casual look…..and can easily be worn “Uptown” with a WK skirt, A237412 or MOSS CREPE PENCIL SKIRT in BLACK, A262454……………………Trouser would also create a wonderful menswear look…………….I happen to LOVE the TRIPLE BAR NECKLACE, J325472, with this top…..it’s just the right length……For those of you who were able to get the BLACK TORSADE….that’s a great look too……………………………………enjoy……………..much Love…………………….Louis

Looks luscious! Not sure I have any piece in merlot? How does this work with the burgundy/ aubergine sweaters, and especially the burgundy trench?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear jmarie….the Merlot is lighter , brighter and more red than the Burgundy and Aubergine. I prefer the Merlot with Black than Aubergine.

    Hi Louis,
Know you’re busy, busy. You know I’m crazy for tweed. But how would this (upper right or upper left) look under my swing boucle embroidered (vintage Linea) jacket?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cela…..which jacket is that? Swing boucle emb vintage Linea?????

LOL. A62176, I have it in the Black, along with matching Emb. sleeve T neck. Is it too busy paired with tweed, or just stick with my black Pencil Skirt? It’s more of a “swing fit” on me, but not listed that way. Sorry.

TOO busy…..stick with black bottoms….too many things to look at.

This looks so rich in the red. Love it! Would you say this is similar in weight to the zig zag knit from Spring?

Dear Carol…it’s hard to compare because they are such different constructions. The zig zag had a uniform yarn throughout, and this has a thick and thin yarn, but it is still very light. I really don’t see any problem for ladies in warmer, but not hot, climates wearing this when it’s cool.

I don’t normally go for red shades, but this is beautiful!
