This necklace sort of reminds me of two old AK necklaces I had donated to a “Dress For Success” organization maybe 7 years ago. I wasn’t really wearing any costume jewelry at the time and certainly not long necklaces. I’m almost sick now, because I think they may have been couture pieces. My mother, who had always had exceptional taste, recently educated me on the difference. I found one online with the description “Anne Klein Couture 60 Inches Lucite Ball Station”. I think mine actually had a mix of gold and Lucite stations and the other was gold stations only. I know they would have been originally purchased in the late 80’s most likely from a bargin table at NM or SFA in St. Louis. I think I wore them to my Homecoming dance. C’est la vie. Some lucky woman entering the workplace in CT got some great necklaces. My LDO necklaces are now treasures to me.

Caroline……never ever get rid of the real “Anne Klein Couture” jewelry! There are pieces on ebay for $700……but it must have the small oval metal tag at the back neck that is stamped “Anne Klein Couture” or else it’s a fake. 95% of the jewelry on the Anne Klein Couture ebay site is not the real couture jewelry. I know because I started the “couture” division at the company, and it ended when I left. They have an “Ice Cube” couture on ebay not that’s the real thing. It probably cost $95 to $100 dollars when we first sold it and now they are asking hundred of $$$$$ for it. I rarely see the real couture jewelry being sold. The late 80s is definitely a real piece. These pieces never really go out of style. You may get tired of wearing it, but just store it away for a while.

Love the Peach Parfait—and love the vintage Anne Klein necklace!

This color is a perfect shade to flatter the skin, & paired with the truffle crops will make for a very feminine but sophisticated combination, imo. And, yes; I LOVE that necklace, particularly shown over a top like this, it’s that just right accessory. You’d really look like you know what you’re doing dressed like this, even if the sink is full of dirty dishes, & you’ve simply shut the door on the laundry room to go out to dinner with your husband, who’d rather you made the effort for him, anyway, one HOPES.
