“JANUARY 2022 SNOW FALL”

……………I asked for a BIG snowfall…………and I got one………and it’s still snowing…….Franco came to plow my driveway and shovel me out, but he said he will probably have to come back and do it again….That’s fine with me as long as I don’t have to do it!!!!!!…….My snowmen in the windowsill are enjoying the view too!

“CATHY & KAREN ARRIVE FOR THE FACE BOOK LIVE SHOW”

………………It was frigid when Cathy and Karen arrive at my home so we went inside and made HOT TEA…….Karen had an instant buddy when she gave Samantha some treats….Sammy is easily won over and can be had for a salted peanut!!! LOL……We sat in the gathering room for a while and snacked on some things I laid out. Then we went to work on the show….We had planned an early dinner so we could come back and rest for the night….I drove to Greenwich Ct. and we went to a French Bistro called “Versailles” Cathy had been there before with me and her sister. She requested we go again, and Karen had never been. We started the meal with glasses of Champagne to toast the New Year! We all had their famous French Onion soup and Quiche Lorraine and Spinach Quiche. We had side orders of French Fries and baked Brussel Sprouts……We washed it all down with a bottle of Sancerre white wine……YUMMMMMY! Then we got into the car and went back home. I started a fire, and we watched “All Creatures Great and Small” on Masterpiece Theater. They hadn’t seen last season or the beginning of this season, and I knew they would love it. Karen is such an animal lover and a vegetarian! They did love it. They are always looking for something to watch. For desert I served my Lemon, Cornmeal cake with extra creamy vanilla ice cream, and cut up strawberries……double yummy!!! We went to bed about 11pm because we had a long day ahead of us……………

“THE DAY BEGINS”

………………………We all got up early on the day of the show……Noon would come quick enough! We went to the “SUGAR BOWL” for breakfast….They were all decked out for Valentine’s Day!……I’ve become a regular. Lou and I have breakfast there almost every weekend on Sat. or Sunday, and all the girls, Angela, Chantal, Cathy and Karen love to see all of the decorations….plus the food is GOOD!……I had to take a picture of the fountain with the snowman on top. I had never noticed it before. I guess it’s a seasonal thing…….Then back home to prepare for the show.
