………………It was frigid when Cathy and Karen arrive at my home so we went inside and made HOT TEA…….Karen had an instant buddy when she gave Samantha some treats….Sammy is easily won over and can be had for a salted peanut!!! LOL……We sat in the gathering room for a while and snacked on some things I laid out. Then we went to work on the show….We had planned an early dinner so we could come back and rest for the night….I drove to Greenwich Ct. and we went to a French Bistro called “Versailles” Cathy had been there before with me and her sister. She requested we go again, and Karen had never been. We started the meal with glasses of Champagne to toast the New Year! We all had their famous French Onion soup and Quiche Lorraine and Spinach Quiche. We had side orders of French Fries and baked Brussel Sprouts……We washed it all down with a bottle of Sancerre white wine……YUMMMMMY! Then we got into the car and went back home. I started a fire, and we watched “All Creatures Great and Small” on Masterpiece Theater. They hadn’t seen last season or the beginning of this season, and I knew they would love it. Karen is such an animal lover and a vegetarian! They did love it. They are always looking for something to watch. For desert I served my Lemon, Cornmeal cake with extra creamy vanilla ice cream, and cut up strawberries……double yummy!!! We went to bed about 11pm because we had a long day ahead of us……………
Thanks Louis for doing a show with Karen and Cathy. I enjoyed it an am thinking of getting the pineapple because it looked so good on Karen.
I also appreciate the lesson on knotting the harlequin- I think I may wear one of them to a gathering tomorrow.

BTW – I am so jealous just thinking of Chantel and Angela going through their black bags filled with Whisper Knit!
