…………………LONGEVITY……is a word you don’t necessarily associate with Fashion…but the Kimono style has lasted, in one form or another, through the ages. The July 2013 KIMONO JACKET, for me, was the perfect summer and transition piece into Fall. The fabric was a heavier weight Faux Linen, so it had a very obvious weave and texture. It had the traditional band collar, and 3/4 length sleeves……The BLACK jacket was very versatile, and simply worked with everything. Above, it’s coordinated with the “Tweed Jersey” separates in Putty, and white Whisper Knit.

………………The bold texture of the FAUX LINEN gave the jacket its’ special uniqueness! The vivid Fuchsia color was a wonderful accent that worked all year round.

………………………The RAYON/POLY blend was light weight and had a soft hand. The subtle “tweed” was created by using a fine black polyester thread and then dying the rayon in the desired color…..in this case the FUCHSIA…..The top was a classic slightly fitted TEE with short sleeves and a jewel neckline……The MIDI SKIRT had a double panel front and inseam pockets……
