The second coloration in the LACE PRINT tunic is…………………HUNTER GREEN………………….Again, the shades of STONE and the BLACK LACE remain the same, but now HUNTER GREEN becomes the accent color. I know many women are not “print women”….Jac is one of you, but every once in a while….even Jac will branch out and leave her comfort zone. It’s not that she hasn’t worn tons of prints when she was on the runways around the world, and it’s not even that she doesn’t like prints….[she’s very selective when it comes to prints]….I think it is for the very reason….when Jac constantly put on and took off clothes all day long…day after day….you want your personal wardrobe to be as simple as possible….So….when Jac wears a print it’s an occasion. She is very select in her likes and dislikes and sometimes she surprises me……She loved the tie dye maxi dresses [no surprise to me], and the floral print shorts, which surprised me just a little, though I had a strong feeling she might like them….This LACE PRINT is Jac’s type of print because it has a certain sophistication that many prints do not. It looks expensive and it definitely looks like a garment you would have bought in Europe….To my non print ladies…..maybe it’s time you stepped out of your comfort zone?? If the people around you are used to always seeing you in SOLID COLOR CLOTHING……maybe it’s time to show them another side of YOU! Green is one of my best colors and is hard to find. Last year I bought a lot of malachite (I have a collection of malachite jewelry.)I bought the Hunter green pants and waiting for a wk Hunter green sweater.
This is a long shot (I’ve never been able to match greens)but wondered if the Lace print top with the green would go with the Hunter pants.
The pants are wonderful. I am very long waisted but ordered the petite S instead of the regular S and it works! I have never been able to wear a petite pant; but I measured the rise carefully. I will have to shorten them but I expected to. I only wear flats and am very particular about fit.
Dear Andrea…the green lace print top is with the hunter green pants in the sneak peek photos, and that’s how I showed it in the show…..so yes they are perfect together. You still have to shorten the petite pant….how tall are you?
Louis, I made a mistake. I meant to ask if the lace print top would go with the malachite skirt.
I’m 5’2″ but I have a very long torso which means short legs. I also only wear flat shoes and boots. My inseam is 27”; this is the first pair of petite pants I’ve ever purchased.I measured carefully. I ordered navy, hunter, and black. A pant with drape hits lower on me. No one else on the forum complained about the length. If Lands End didn’t make long torso bathing suits I’d never be able to go to the beach. I look best in a column of color and also skirts and dresses.
I had an aunt who always looked impeccable (she wore Anne Klein) and she taught me about alterations. I tailor items that very few women do. e.g. sleeves on woven blouses. I never roll up anything at the waist, etc. A good tailor is a treasure. I go to a woman who worked at Pricilla of Boston, a high end bridal shop back in the day.
I ordered the top in green. The print is lengthening, right for my body type and I never know when greens will return. I have a beautiful onyx and malachite torsade which will look smashing with it.
I had another aunt who could go into KMart, buy a dress, bring it home and do very precise alterations, change butons,etc. No one ever thought she shopped at the low end. Of course fabrics were better then.She and the aunt I mentioned above were sisters and were envious of each other. The KMart aunt wanted expensive clothes and the Anne Klein one was envious of her sister’s gift.
The malachite does not work with the hunter green….sorry
Hi, Louis! If you still have the fabric swatch for reference, will this year’s Hunter pieces work with the green “Ninotchka” suit from a few years back? It looks like they will on my monitor, but you know how that can be. :-). I already ordered the WK pants in Hunter as I love Hunter with Navy and Burgundy.

I’m getting my hunter green side button sweater today and the hunter green wk pants are on order. Looks like a hunter green Christmas for me. Except that it will be competing with my brick red Christmas. Bring on the parties!
