“THE IVORY SHIRT COLLAR SWEATER”

August 201416

The IVORY SHIRT COLLAR SWEATER, A257383, in WHISPER KNIT, is a classic style with a TWIST.  The collar is as beautifully made as they would make in the finest factories in ITALY. The RIB DETAIL gives the sweater an updated look. The long sleeve ends with a 6 1/2″ border of ribs, and the  bottom of the sweater has an approx. 11″ border of ribs which are attached to the sweater with a tubular trim. This is a much more refined and expensive way to finish the bottom. Please note this is not a WAIST WHITTLING SWEATER….meaning the ribs do not start 2 to 3 inches above the waist. They start slightly above the waist, as a waist band on a skirt would be, and then go down over the hip area. This of course will vary with each individual woman depending if she is short or long waisted. The total length of the sweater is approx. 27 1/2 to 28 inches for the xs. I would suggest you buy the size you would normally buy in your WK sweaters………….This is the perfect sweater to wear under jackets….but on its’ own it make a strong enough statement. This is a season-less sweater and can be worn as soon as you would start to wear a sweater, and stored away when the weather becomes to warm…….In other words from the FALL….through the HOLIDAYS , and then through Spring and early Summer….depending where you live……………….The BEAUTIFUL PIN……in SILVER with the clear CRYSTAL STONES, and the large center PEARL will be coming for the Holiday season…..as well as the matching SHRIMP EARRING with the metal BEAD and CLEAR CRYSTALS details……………something to look forward to……………………..enjoy…………………much Love……………….Louis

ITA, the jewelry is exquisite. When clothing is simple and elegant, jewelry like this just screams CLASS! But at the same time you could wear a pair of jeans and leather jacket with the pin and NOT be overdressed! I have the ivory shawl collar WK and love it, the “Johnny Collar” is my second chosen silhouette, love it as well.
Must have in every color, all, I mean ALL jewelry works with it, including chokers. Just try it with your gold multi strand choker. Gorgeous. Would you consider doing this sweater in a short sleeve or sleeveless, Louis?

How did my eyes pass over the earrings without their extreme beauty hitting me in the face?!? OMG, Louis, they are another “to die for” item! Supremely gorgeous. Cannot wait… How lovely with that pin, also a beauty in its own right. (I’ve got a lot on my mind and have been racing through the day — in and out, in and out, in and out… A poster’s comment made me go back and look.)

When will the collared sweater and zip up sweater be on QVC? I want to purchase both styles for the fall. I have not decided on color as of yet.

Dear Joanne…the are supposed to be on my next show on the 18th at 6PM.

The word is that there is another Polar Vortex coming this fall/winter (an early arrival, no less!). Apart from its beauty, this sweater will be good guard — layered or not — against this bitter cold. This thought has made me rethink the collared look.

I prefer a cold winter as opposed to a mild one, but I can’t say the forecasts have been correct. At the beginning of the summer they said it was going to be HOT and WET…Here in New England it has been anything but….it has been one of the best summers, weather wise, in a long time. I know there are areas of the country that have had unbelievable amounts of rain…and then there’s California that is dry as a bone……However I have heard they are predicting an early and cold fall….Jac has gotten some of the first apples of the season and they are GOOD!

How on earth do you cope with those snowy blizzards? Do you ever wake up and find you can’t open the front door? I’m sure there’s an entire survival skill set that goes with living in the NE, and I would have to either get a book on it, or go to the internet to prepare for the coming winter.

I LOVE IT when the snow is so high you can’t open the front door. We love high drifts and when everything is SNOW WHITE…..where are you from?

I can see your Bonnie and Clyde inspiration in this piece, too. Love!

All the jewelry is exquisite!! Love the sweater in all colors–another classic. Everything, and I do mean everything, I’ve seen in the fall line thus far is irresistible. And, I understand there’s much more to come!!

    Brilliant – Louis:

My Great Aunt Liz left me so many fine things including her wonderful collection of Art Deco jewels from the 30 -50’s & this sweater is the perfect show case. You are the Master when it comes to styling!

That pin! It is perfect. It looks great with the sweater and the hoops. This white look is just beautiful.
