“THE HUNTER GREEN D.B. SWING JACKET”

August 20141

……………………..The second color I am offering in the new BOUCLE DB SWING JACKET, A257286, is the ………………HUNTER GREEN…………..The color is not as dark as the WHISPER KNIT PANT, A257385/86 or the WK HUNTER GREEN sweaters such as the LONG SLEEVE CLASSIC V-NECK, A217629, shown above and avail. now, but it is still a rich deep color. Some of the photos came out too dark and some too light….so I would say the most accurate is the photo at the lower left…….Again, there is nothing more special than that COLUMN OF COLOR…..The coordinating pieces to make this look happen are not offered too often, so if it’s a look you gravitate to….don’t let these pieces pass you by. Besides the V-neck and the Hunter Green scarf, A257914…there will be three other Hunter Green WK sweaters in the coming months  that will coordinate to these pieces….the TN, A72448 is just one of them…..To achieve the column of color, which is always slimming, the WK HUNTER GREEN PANTS….for me is a must have…….The buttons on the Hunter Green are an antique Brass which I think set off the Hunter Green perfectly…………….anyone planning a trip to Ireland?………………………………enjoy…………………much Love……………………………Louis

Well, Louis, you KNOW this jacket in the hunter green is coming home to my closet! I have the original black swing coat and absolutely love it, wear it all the time. But to have this great style in one of your beautiful green colors– I am in greenie heaven! When will this coat/jacket be shown and/or available to order?– Blinddogs

My Dear Blinddogs…I don’t hear from you enough! It should be on my Sept. 29th show….but who knows if they will want both the Pea Jacket and the swing jacket on the same show. Maybe one will end up on a PM Style, but I have heard nothing. For all I know they could hold one for Oct.

I did a quick search and there doesn’t appear to be a trademark on the phrase “Column of Color” with regard to textiles. Just FYI.

Hi Louis, Gorgeous jacket — especially love the Hunter Green! I was wondering if you can compare this jacket with the forthcoming pea jacket (the one you sneak peeked in the Persian/Prussian blue) — particularly the length of the pea jacket and the colors it will come in. So many choices, so little time…..

Dear Jane J….the PEA jacket is a more traditional sailor’s Pea DB jacket with dyed to match signature buttons….meaning it is shaped and is 29 inches long for the xs. I think it is closer to B&M sizing than what I usually do to give it a more designer and youthful look. Both are SM&L sizing. The Pea jacket will be in Black,Persian Blue [what Jac was wearing with the Walnut pieces], Raspberry as the funnel neck sweater and WK shawl, and Camel as last years Camel pant and asym. zip jacket, and the Posh Knit sweaters and scarf. The fabrics are also different. The pea jacket also is a wool blend, but the weave is different and the hand almost feels like a boiled wool.

Thanks for the info, Louis — very helpful. By the way, I am now Jane J. (formerly posted under just Jane). Thought I’d add the J to clarify since I did see another Jane post here several weeks ago.
