    Dear Louis,

Thank you for your suggestion to size down for the long ENR WK duster. I am an 8 – 10 and the size Small is perfect.
In a previous post, you mentioned WK shells, with a higher neckline, coming out in May in red poppy, bluebell, ivory and black. Will these match the dusters just like the longline tunics available now? Will they be shorter in length? My issue is always trying to keep my twinsets and dye lots matched but needing a higher neckline.

Thank you for your response in advance,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The black and ivory should match or at least be acceptably close.

      1. Debra

thank you. Will the length be the same or shorter? do you happen to have any photos? I guess it would be good for contrast 🙂

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t have my samples yet so no pictures. The length is a classic, but don’t remember what it is.

  2. Sharon Martin

Will the faceted glass beads 72 inch necklaces item J284043 be coming back in stock? I have the black and would love the get the clear. Would love to get matching earrings also. I missed out on those.

    1. Sharon Martin

Sorry didn’t mean to post twice. Opps

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

No problem, but unfortunately that necklace has been retired. It was reordered once, but now we move on to new things.

  3. Sharon Martin

    Dear Louis,

I received my black long cardigan today…LOVE. I think everyone is gaga over it, judging by comments on the forum. The length is perfect for me, of course, and I can’t get over how incredibly slimming it is…and so elegant. I posted my review already.

  5. tricia

Hi Mr. O. Just received my aqua shirt. Color is beyond geourous Growingup in Northern Calif. I always had olive complexion but now in retirement years I have a light olive complextion and wow what a great color for me. My question is what color shirt can i ware with the bluebell skirt I have coming besides the peri one and white, My olive complextion has a yellow undertone and so yellow by my face not so good. I will of course when it arrives will go into my closet and hold it up to all I have but would like ideas from you…I have white hair now that I am in my older years… thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tricia….Pale blue like an ice blue would look pretty. I was going to say a pale yellow…..it doesn’t have to be a bright lemon yellow. There are some pale tangerine flowers but I don’t think they are strong enough to wear a top in that color……those are the best choices….then you should do as you say….raid your closet and draws….you may find something surprising. A few years back I did a t shirt with whit bead emb that might work….so think about some emb. pieces you may have that you didn’t even consider.

  6. Joanne

QVC was very efficient with Louis’s last visit. My black peplum jacket, black floral boho skirt and black floral matching safari shirt are all out for delivery today Thursday.

  7. Tylerpoo

Hi iLouis, So enjoyed your shows and so excited about the baseball Jacket. Will the ‘Current’ color WK top be reordered, I noticed the topper is still available but on clearance.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, but not in currant…..it will be back in alabaster, black, ivory and perfectly pink. They will work under the zip front WK cardigan with the contrast bands and the WK skirt.

    Louis!

Wow! Your show was amazing! Kudos, you blew my budget again!! I purchased all three colors of the whisper knit long tunic and long cardigan. Hopefully both will be successful enough to bring them back in more colors. If so, I’m putting my vote in for “perfectly pink” for the next go around! The movie “High Society” was just on TCM channel and Grace Kelly wore pink in the scene when she and Bing Crosby sing their duet, “True Love”, in their sailboat. OMG! I’m a romantic just like you, Louis! Love your PP!!

    Thanks for everything, Louis!

Hello Louis, I enjoyed your show on Monday. Prior to the show, I ordered your new sleeveless tunic in scarlet and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Question: I also recently purchased the color block whisper knit cardigan in current & burgundy – have the matching short sleeve sweater also — and the sweater set looks spectacular with my aubergine WK pencil skirt, as you had styled it. I was on the QCV site a few days ago and saw wine color ponte knit pants A268216 ‘waitlisted” which I thought might also look good with the sweater set, but when I went back in to order they were no longer shown. Did I miss these pants in wine? Or is this an indication that the wine is arriving soon at QVC? PS: have the pants in charcoal and love them.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen….you haven’t missed them……new reorder colors for next fall will appear, and then disappear because it won’t be for months that they will be avail. I don’t know why the Q does this, but it’s just part of their computer programming?

  10. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. Will we be getting and Whisper Knits in Periwinkle or the new Bright Yellow? I’d buy those colors in a heart beat!

    Sheila/Sheesh

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Shelia….in May there will be a WK shell in Bluebell, poppy red, ivory and black. It’s a sleeveless top with a higher neckline….sort of like ta tank worn backward.

  11. Jane J.

Hi Louis, This is very interesting. I had written to you yesterday about the 2x Aqua Mist peplum jacket being sold out at 12:45am Monday morning. This is what I wrote:

    February 13, 2017 at 12:03 PM
Hi Louis, Do you have any info about the peplum top in the Aqua Mist in 2X not being put into the system? I checked at 12:45am and all colors and sizes were posted but not the 2x Aqua. I hope there wasn’t a problem with the delivery of that size and that it will eventually get put into the system. Looking forward to your show this afternoon.

I know you were busy getting ready for the shows and you didn’t respond and, eventually, I just figured they did indeed sell out early.

Well, I just happened to look online now and, lo and behold, there are now more than 25 of the Aqua Mist in 2x available. So, this group was not added to the system in time for the shows.

Thought I would let you and other Linea ladies know that these are now available.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Jane…..sorry yesterday was pretty crazy. It seems that 2x is the only size avail in Aqua Mist?

      1. Jane J.

Yes, the only Aqua Mist available now are in 2x. I checked all day long today and NONE were available in any size, and then late in the afternoon there they were in 2x! I did order mine now.

        1. Cathy in PA

Jane J., I so appreciate you posting this … I got my Aqua Mist 2X thanks to you!

  12. Shari

    Louis
I’m not sure how this happened. I didn’t have premium shipping, but I got my boho skirt and crinkle shirts already!!!!!!!
I ordered 3 “sets”. Two sets came today. The yellow and the bright pink!!! Love them both. I’m waiting for the lime and the red floral.
Go figure! Someone thought I had overnight shipping?!

    1. Grace

I’m also seeing the same thing. My peplum jackets shipped the day after I ordered them! I don’t remember that ever happening before. Hope QVC keeps it going…

  13. Nedra

    Dear Louis,

My recent question no longer appears in “Ask Louis”, so I will ask Louis again. I broke the buckle on the sleeve of my double breasted trench coat (A267875), navy with black trim and black buckle. Can you help me get a replacement? You said that the factories were closed for Chinese New Year, but you’d get back to me.

    Many thanks, Nedra

    1. Kathy/Wis

I would try a fabric store.

    2. louis dell'olio

Dear Nedra…..I haven’t forgotten you….I’ve made a note and already spoke to my NY office. We are waiting for the offices in China to re-open.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nedra….your buckles have arrived where would you like them sent? If you post your address tomorrow at noon I will get it and immediately delete it…..unless you have a better idea.

    4. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nedra….your buckle”s” are in. I got you a few extra. Where do you want them sent????

  14. tricia

Inspired style was big help for me..First when you held up bluebell skirt below Amy”s periwinkle blue shirt. I realized that is what I needed to go with bluebell skirt..Also when Jackie said she went up a size on shirt that is what I did as well. good to know.

  15. Elaine

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and Jac!
Enjoyed your shows yesterday and picked up a few “VD” presents for myself!
    Have fun, Elaine

  16. Jackie

Louis, I bought my share of goodies from your show yesterday. I am anxiously awaiting to see the new jewelry coming this spring. I know you are in New York City often and must tell you that my husband and I are visiting the city for the first time ever in May. It is my birthday present. We are seniors and have traveled the world and are now are getting around to the big city. So far we have tickets for Hello Dolly but oh my…there are so many choices of things to do and see. Hotels…how to choose the right location. I have heard you talk of Befgdorf’s. I think I should visit the store, right? But then..I do not want to spend all my time shopping when the city offers so much more. I am excited and will be packing some Linea for sure.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Jackie….You are going to have a wonderful time! May is the perfect month. Jac is a May baby too. I highly recommend the Chatwal Hotel. It’s a wonderful boutique hotel, and the rooms are really nice…..It would be a special place to stay. It’s on 44th street right near the theater district, but just far enough away not to be bothered by the crowds of times Square. I do recommend Orso Restaurant before or after Hello Dolly…..It’s on west 46th st. which is considered restaurant row for the theater district. If you go after the theater you may see a celeb or two. A stroll up 5th Ave from 49th street is a must. You will see Rockfellr Square where the Christmas tree is each year, and it’s right across the street from Saks 5th Ave…..You will pass all of the major designer stores, shopping is optional….LOL. Bergdorf Goodman is a very unique one of a kind store and is worth walking through. The top floor has very special house goods which might interest you more, but you will see EVERY major designer in one store….Right next to Bergdorfs is the famous Plaza Hotel and across from that Central Park. I highly recommend having a lovely lunch at the “Boat House Restaurant” in the park. It’s right on the row boat lake and is a great way to see lots of people, and spend a leisurely afternoon. Both Orso and the Boat Hose need reservations so it’s best to call in advance….they are both very popular places, so they get booked early……If you have any other questions don’t hesitate I hope you are spending lots of time in NYC because there is so MUCH to see and do….or else you will simply have to come back! Bring good walking shoes!!

      1. Jackie

Oh my! Louis, the information you wrote is very helpful. I trust your judgement and plan to make some reservations based on your comments. New York City has so many options, even TripAdvisor gave me pause and I was wondering how I would narrow things down. Since a trip to France in June is planned we have to limit our stay to about 4 nights. Like you said, we can always return.
I had my husband read your reply and he looked at me with a BIG smile saying how nice it was that you took the time to reply. This Wisconsin farm girl is very appreciative. Thanks again.

        1. louis dell'olio

Your first trip has to be memorable! Do you and your husband like museums or do you want the true tourist sights like the Empire State Bld. and the Statue of Liberty? One place that is real fun is the High Line. It was an elevated rail track that was fall into disrepair that the city transforms, with many private contributors, to a walking garden. I don’t remember how long it goes but it’s on the west side down town, and at the end is the new Whitney Museum. That’s good for a morning or after the statue of Liberty….or maybe you’d like to see Ground Zero where the Twin Towers used to be and now there is an incredible Memorial….so many things to do. That could be your day down town.I know many NY Linea Ladies could suggest lots of things.

          1. Karen in WA

I copied and printed this exchange. A few years ago you and I exchanged notes and I said I am born and raised on the west coast and traveled the world but have never been to NYC. It is still on my bucket list. Love my baseball Jacket and more things are on the way. Happy V.D.

          2. Jackie

I am so naive about the city. You mentioned downtown. Isn’t everything downtown? I am very familiar with downtown Chicago and the neighborhoods – suppose New York is the same. It can be fairly spread out and time consuming getting around if one is not organized. I should probably list those things we want to do and put them on Google Maps so we do not waste time and cab fare going unnecessarily back and forth. Unless the weather is bad, I think we’ll explore the major sites and enjoy the architecture and personality of the city. I want to be in the moment and really enjoy ourselves and that means not trying to see and do 50 things in a few days. I am going to map out your suggestions and organize our time. Thanks again for your helpful hints. For sure I will write you on this blog and share our experience visiting the city for the first time. If you think of anything else, I welcome your input.

  17. Dana

Loving the long wk cardigan and tunic tank, going back for another set. Is the ivory set the same color as the ivory wk skirt A278330 (heavier weight skirt, came in black, ivory and pink) and wIll the skirt length work? I love when my Linea wardrobe mixes and matches from previos years!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Dana….absolutely they match perfectly as does the scarlet red and black. If you look at the video you will see Maria, looking so glamorous she shocked, in the three pieces,

  18. Grace

    Dear Louis,

Wonderful show (as usual) today! I picked up the peplum jacket in aqua mist & pink, the long sweater & tunic in black and red and the “Jac” pink safari shirt! I know I’ll be going back for the sweater set in ivory. So elegant. Loved how Jac looked in the black set over the alabaster wide-legged pants (which I own). All I need now are the necklaces! I’m looking forward to all the new jewelry coming our way!

  19. Beryl

The ivory Baseball jacket is a white ivory. Gorgeous.

  20. Kate

Those floral print sandals with the new floral skirt! Genius! Did you give the brand/item number if its from the Q?

      1. Kate

        Got ’em! Thanks.

        1. Connie

Kate, Would you give me the style number for the sandals. Thank you,
          Connie

            1. Grace

Wish I could still wear heels–those are beautiful. Simple and elegant. Enjoy, ladies!

  21. Chris S.

    Hi,
Lovely shows today. I ordered several items. Please tell me what size white Kate shirt Maria was wearing buttoned up with the boho.

    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

      She was wearing a 1x

  22. Elvira

when you are going to bring back whisper knit top color lapis

  23. Fairfax

Today’s shows were great. I ordered several items. I am never disappointed. I’ll watch at 7:00 to see more Linea. I tape all of them and then go back and study!! I have a question for anyone who was lucky enough to get a seed bead necklace last spring (or summer). I want to plan ahead this time. Does anyone remember the cost?

    1. Jane J.

Fairfax — The seed bead necklaces were $95, $5 shipping + tax.

      1. Fairfax

        Thanks. I can’t wait!!

    2. LynnG

I got the lime and black last time. They were 95 then but that was almost a year ago

    3. Seka

Fairfax – I was lucky enough to get the Tangerine & Black Necklaces. Price was $95. But – for me – they are worth every penny! If they were sold in a high end department store like Saks or Nordstrom – they would be at least $300.

  24. Shari

    Louis
    What a show!
I’m SO glad I ordered my crinkle shirt/boho skirt sets.
I got the lime, lemon, and bright pink.
I also ordered ,from this morning, the black and the red floral boho’s.
I am set for summer. Hundreds of combinations with what I have coming.
With what I have and what I purchased today–I have 10 complete sets of boho’s and crinkle shirts! Lucky me!!
One question. On the embroidered jacket–is the ivory a cream ivory or a white ivory?
Thank you for these beautiful fashions.
Michigan can’t get warm soon enough!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It does match my ivory WK ……..I would call it a white Ivory. For those of you who own the jacket or WK your opinions are welcome. I always think of cream as darker.

      1. Yvette

I have the ivory and to me it’s more of a “winter white.” I really don’t see any cream in it. Hope that helps!

        1. Shari

Yes! That helps a bunch! Thank you ! I’m off to order it.

  25. Kathy/Wis

    Hi Louis
Loved the show. Was that a new necklace on the model in the white baseball jacket ? Love it.

  26. Pamela,in Anchorage

    Hi Louis & Jac!
Excited to watch your show today sharing the same time zone – Indiana. Glad you got to sleep in this go-round – Thanks for all you do to keep me l ooking great in LINEA! Have fun & take care.
    Love, Pamela

  27. Sharon L

I ordered the new long cardigan on Saturday at $69; it was shipped today. The price on Qvc.com shows a lower featured price. Customer service was great and issued a refund for the lower price. Thought your ladies would like to know.

    1. Seka

Sharon L – Thank you for posting this info. I did not notice this! Just called Customer Service – they issued a credit for my Cardigans! I will post this info. on the Forum.

      1. Beth

Sharon L – Thanks so much for posting this! I would have missed this price reduction if I hadn’t read your post. I contacted CS this afternoon and got a credit. Thanks again!

  28. Jane J.

  29. Tricia A

I need to correct hair color it is white,

  30. Tricia A

First time to write on this blog but cannot resist complimenting you on baseball jacket…I got the black and the pink. WOW Will be wearing the black to show tonight. Will have black pants with white shell. Or maybe pink shell. I live here in Vegas valley wear your fashions constantly…..But did so as well where we lived in other states. I picked up the bright pink crinkle shirt this AM I like the periwinkle color but do not have that color in not one of the many skirts of yours that I have. But do have aqua on the way as well and almost all your skirts have that color . Love the new skirts and will get blue bell for sure and top to go with. I have grey hair and love color and blue favorite color……A big thanks Mr O. for staying with the Q…..

  31. Seka

Q is offering 4 EZPays on the Elongated Cardigan and matching Tank!

  32. Shari

    Hi Louis

Just gotta say–I am IN LOVE with the new Poppy Red Floral !!
Can’t wait to put my order in and I’m also eyeing the black !
Need to get the big brimmed hat, sun shades and sexy wedge sandals out. This gramma is gonna be rockin’ !!

    1. Goldie76

      🙂

  33. Linda in AZ

Louis, Thank you for the Fiesta colors in the Georgette safari shirt and the boho skirt. When you offered the Fiesta WK’s, I bought all the colors. I love wearing them in the Spring. But when it hits 110 degrees, even the WK is a bit too heavy. Now I can have my Fiesta colors in the light weight Georgette fabric. These are the bedrock of my Summer wardrobe. The lime, lemon and periwinkle are mine! Hope to fit the pink and floral into the budget. Hey Q..any easy pays for us?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Linda….all I can say is you WILL be wanting the pink even if it’s just one piece!

      1. Linda in AZ

LOL Yeah…I can see that. I keep going back to the pictures. All the solid colors work so well with the floral prints. (Sigh)

  34. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

And Oh BOY I can’t WAIT for that sleeveless white wing collar shirt this summer :)!!!

    1. Mary H

I look forward to the sleeveless wing collar shirt too. I was just looking for that kind of shirts in the new catalogs. I am so glad Louis is doing one this year.

  35. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, is the new floral printed boho and safari shirt set quite close to the bohos I have from some seasons ago – A2247113? I have those in Coral, turquoise and in navy.

    1. louis dell'olio

As I recall those ran BIG in the waist sometimes 2 sizes. These do not….They are exactly like the solid Boho in measurements…..A70208

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Correct Louis. Your memory serves you right. I do recall taking mine in. Thanks for the reply!

      2. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

And if at all possible, hoping you might show the two pieces together but not belted. In a 3x top and 2 x boho, I would not be trying to belt the top piece. I might however wear a belt over the tank underneath the shirt or a tee underneath the shirt with the matching skirt. Just a little wishful thought there. 😉 Can’t wait to see these live on air.

        1. louis dell'olio

Fear Not…..I will be showing the two pieces unbelted and they look great that way!

          1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thanks 🙂 Makes my day! Can’t wait 🙂

  36. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Julie: The “stuff to put on zippers” is Zipper-Ease zipper lubricant manufactured by the A.G.S. Company from Muskegon, Mich 49443. I don’t recall if I got it on Amazon (likely) or if you just need to google or bing it up on a search. But I have and keep several of these short thick-pencil size sticks around the house, sewing room, bathroom with clothes closet etc. Good stuff. Don’t need a lot and read all directions to keep the oils off from the fabric of your garment. Good luck with that.

    1. julie

Thank you for the info Nancy! It must have been you who suggested the Zipper-Ease in the past… I knew it was a Linea Lady, but couldn’t remember the name of the product. I’m so glad you responded, I will google it now!

  37. Cheri

Louis, could you wear the light blue lace jacket with the new blue multi boho skirt. I also have the yellow lace jacket could that be worn with red poppy skirt? Am looking forward to Monday’s show and your appearances in the morning and inspired style. Thank you for your beautiful clothing

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Cheri….I tried the yellow and blue lace jackets with all the skirts and I think they all work. It’s definitely unorthodox, but with the right attitude, I say why not. Certainly today they put things together that one shakes their heads and wonders what they were thinking…..This is not the case. It’s the natural linen trims that throw it off some but that can also be good so it doesn’t look planned….if you know what I mean….sort of off handed.

      1. Cheri

Thank you so much for answering my question. I love the lace jackets and like to be a little different. I always get compliments when I wear your clothing. My doctor asked me where to get my clothes. I did tell her QVC and the name Linea. Apparently she did look because she now wears pieces of your clothing. Thank you for your beautiful classic clothing.

  38. Miriam

Hi Mr. dell’olio: I really like your criss cross trapeze necklace. Do any of the exposed surfaces contain the metal nickel? Like many woman, I am allergic to the metal nickel. Also, is this necklace coming back in gold? The QVC website currently lists it only in silvertone. Thank you for your help. Regards, Miriam

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Miriam. There is not supposed to be any nickel in my products! but I will ask again to be sure. I have no idea if the trapeze necklace will be reordered again….It should be, but with budgets as they are even successful pieces don’t automatically get reordered like they used to. If I hear that it is I will certainly post it.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Miriam….I heard back from my manufacturer, and I am happy to report the necklace is nickle free. I thought so, but it’s always better to check!

      1. Miriam

Dear Mr. Dell’Olio: Thanks so much for checking! I’ve asked QVC to notify me if the necklace comes back into stock. Regards, Miriam

  39. Joanne

    Hi Louis
Do you know yet if the zip front peplum top is in your Monday show? I know I will have to purchase your prints and that peplum top as soon as it posts so I get my first choices.

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes….it is the very first item in the 3pm show

  40. Seka

FYI – The ENR WK Elongated Cardigan A287608 is now posted on Q and available to order!

  41. Seka

Louis, On the Q Linea Forum – I just viewed the NEW Prints for the Boho Skirt A287620 and Crinkle Georgette Shirt A287619! WOW! GORGEOUS! Three colour options – Bluebell and Poppy Red (both are modelled by Jac) – and Black (not shown)!

    LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Surprise…surprise….yes these were surprised to be for March, but they decided to show them early, though the skirt is only getting two minutes!!

      1. Seka

I am ordering probably all three sets (2 for me – 1 for a Family Member) as soon as they are posted! Not waiting for the presentation!

    2. Shari

      1. Seka

Shari – these Items have not yet been posted for ordering – but on the Linea Forum – there’s are two photos of Jac – wearing the Bluebell Skirt – and the Poppy Red Shirt.

        1. Shari

Thank you Seka, I’m not too tech saavy. I have a young name for an old lady.

  42. julie

Does anybody remember the name of the stuff to put on a zipper to help it zip smoothly? I got the gorgeous baseball jacket in pink for my sister who is special needs & it sticks a little..I would like it to be easier for her to manage.

    Thanks!

    1. louis dell'olio

I know it has been mentioned here before, but I just use a bar of ivory soap. I’m sure someone will come up with the product

      1. julie

        Thank you so much Louis!!

        1. Qulia

Yes, ivory soap. Run it up the zipper and it should be smooth.

  43. Beryl

I love my black baseball jacket and had to have another. The ivory just arrived and it is equally beautiful. Your wonderful designs keep this old lady very happy.

  44. Seka

The Black WK Tank A287609 is now Sold Out!

Hi Louis, Just checking you out. Your line looks great! Also very impressed with your jewelry. Hello to Jac. Best wishes Matt

    Hi Louis,

I love the Safari shirt and tank. I have 8 of them! Question–Will the lime Safari shirt match the lime tanks and sweaters from the Whisper Knit Fiesta collection that you did a couple of years ago???

    Thank you!

    Carol

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Carol….they aren’t an exact match, but very close…..certainly close enough to wear together!

      1. Yvette

Thanks – I was wondering the same thing!

      2. Carol in FL

Thanks, Louis! Looking forward to the show.

    Louis,
I have been busy this morning!
Thought I’d check out what was on your sneak peek page.
Saw the new colors of boho’s and crinkle shirts.
Ordered 3 sets, bright pink, lime and yellow. Also grabbed
onto the barrel necklace and earring set. What absolutely
yummy colors and they’re all me!!! Multiple ideas!
Now I need to find a goldtone, “braided?” belt, like the one on the lime.
Loving the way you styled all the pieces. It’s as though you went inside my thoughts as to what I like!

    1. louis dell'olio

Shari….ebay has many gold belts, and good color patent belts

    2. Frieda

I checked it out this morning too Shari, and the lime just took my breath away!

      1. Shari

Seems the majority of “things that take my breathe away” are lime!! Such an alive color!

  48. Seka

The New Colours for the Boho Skirt A70208 are posted!

Dear Louis, It has been a happy Linea day for me. I have been wanting A268243 Boot Cut Pull-on Knit Pants in tobacco since the first day I saw them. But they did not have my size medium in them. The other day I was shopping on Ebay, typed in Linea and lo and behold they had a new pair in the tobacco. I bought them, received them yesterday, dug out my little sewing kit and hemmed them up 2 inches and they are perfection. Now I want the slate blue and the pomegranate. I have always been a jeans girl but have grown tired of the stiffness of them. These will be perfect. And I bought the A267865 Hoodie with the faux leather sleeves in tobacco during your last show so I will have the whole outfit when they arrive. The pants are as comfy as they can be and my husband really likes them. This summer I can wear a black T-shirt with them. I wish I could leave a glowing review of them on QVC but am not sure I can since I got them from Ebay. Thank you for all you do!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sure you can…they ask if you bought them….they don’t ask where……LOL….glad you like the pant…..they are more “in” now then when I first did them.

      1. Amanda

I am going to leave a review then.

  50. Shari

    Louis,
Are the new colors in the crinkle shirt, following with boho skirts to match??
By the way, I requested the yellow and lime last year! Thank you ,thank you.
    Hoping for the boho’s

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….the shirt and skirt match…the shirt will be on the Morning Q show as the Power Promo…..the skirt will be on the 3pm show

  51. Fairfax

A24117, the crinkle georgette top has been posted in four new beautiful colors!!! The colors are lemon, periwinkle, bright pink, and lime. All gorgeous and perfect for spring and summer.

    1. Shari

Actually the number is A214117. The A24117 is sold out pig slippers!!! (I had a chuckle on that one!)
Thank you for letting us know, Fairfax. I requested the yellow and lime last year. Yes! I just ordered both.

  52. Debra

    Dear Louis,

When is this year’s batch of pebble crepe 3/4 tops A213621 coming and in what colors? This top is a workhorse, perfect with skirts, comfortable in the heat, and great for accessories.
I already own the colors that are available currently.

    thanks,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra…..it didn’t get reordered this year. I guess it has reached the end of the road.

      1. Debra

I am sorry to hear that….the sleeve length and neckline were perfect for work and other settings.

    2. Fairfax

I am in mourning about the pebble crepe top. I LOVE it. I was dreaming about what new colors would be coming. These tops are wonderful for our Linea jewelry!!

      1. Cathy in PA

SIGH. “End of the road”. SIGH. They forgot to ask us, again … I had a vision of that top in Periwinkle, Aqua Mist, Lime … SIGH. Dare we hope for a new color in the Lace Jacket? Thank You for trying, Louis.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

End of the road for the lace jacket too…….when sales trail off we retire them.

          1. CarlyTwila (aka Susan)

Please bring us back something new in Pebble Crepe – I also adore that top – works well with both skirts and pants. I love this fabric! I have the cowl neck version as well and adore it too. How about a V-neck in those colors Cathy in PA mentioned?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

There will be a new top and crop pull-on pants in April or May? can’t remember which month

  53. Beryl

When is the Mardi Gras necklace coming?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl….I honestly don’t know when it will be posted. Maybe the day of the show or soon after.

  54. Joanne

I am sorry to hear the whisper knit crew neck did not sell well. I purchased duplicates of the ivory, espresso as well as black. This sweater is so versatile. I have worn this sweater over a Linea collared shirt, sleeveless turtleneck, alone with jewelry, scarves tied various ways and my favorite belted with my Kielstein Cord belt buckle. This sweater along with my tortoise print jackets have become cool mainstays of my wardrobe. Thanks Louis!

  55. Seka

FYI – the New Linea Tunic Tank A287609 is posted on Q and available for to order. Love this Tank – wish the Elongated Cardigan was also posted – but of course it’s not – yet!

    1. Kate

The model is clearly wearing a size too small. This is going to cause confusion about sizing. I’m always an XS but the picture has me thinking I’d need a medium for the hips!

      1. makp

Louis, did Jac need to size up in this tunic? I ordered my usual XS, but can change to sm if Jac thinks it runs small. Thanks

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

No, not a med that will be too big. Jac does not think it runs small. The measurements should be a little smaller than you because of the stretch.

  56. vickybliss

Could you discuss the difference between the light tan and alabaster colors? For example what colors go better with alabaster than the light tan? or vice-a-versa?
I love the baseball jacket. Thank you for all your hard work.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Vickybliss…..alabaster is a lighter color than light tan…..alabaster is more of an antique Ivory…..it’s a creamy ivory color while the lt. tan is more of a lt. chino. Any color that works with alabaster will work with lt tan.
      …..black,white,navy, grey, brown etc etc.

  57. queendiva

    Hello Louis,

Two items I would love to see in the future from Linea:
Black jacket with white seaming detail, white jacket with black seaming detail, black with any color seaming detail- maybe even multicolor.

Long-ish multi strand ombre beaded necklace with translucent beads. greens, blues, pinks- any fun colorway.

    Thanks for reading!

  58. Victoria1

    Louis,
Just saw your silver logo necklace on the aqua mist jacket and fell in love with it. I bought the sliver gold version and adore it. It is the perfect necklace. Will you be offering that necklace again in any of its versions?
    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Victoria, no this is a retired style. I like to show pieces that women already own so they can see other ways to wear it your silver/gold will, work too

      1. Victoria1

I know…my silver gold works with everything. But wanted to wear it with my Ripka silver necklaces with small colored gems. Must tell your jewelry is deceptive, in that you buy thinking it will perfect for this or this and turns out to be perfect for everything…just wore silver and gold logo with your white tee. Black swing cardigan, jeans and black boots to brunch and a movie in Cambridge…decided to run to Museum…perfect perfect
        Thanks

  59. Susan (aka Carlytwila)

    Hi Louis-
I have been going through my spring summer closet today and sadly I must part with my Robin shirts. I have simply worn them out. They are a favorite for layering and the length is nice for skinnier pants and leggings. Is there any chance you could bring this back, perhaps in a new fabric to make it different enough that the buyers would accept? I hate to depart wit his classic!
    Susan

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Susan….I have done a version of that shirt every season, but they keep passing it. Since JR is does a lot of big and tunic shirts, rven though they aren’t shaped like mine, I don’t think they want them to compete. I will continue to try

      1. Victoria1

Oh crap! I bought one of JR’s big shirt in gingham and wore twice and put it in bag for Vietnam Vets…perfectly good shirt, just not up to your standards which are now my standards in shirts. Too bad!

  60. Debby

Thanks so much for your response – could the buyers see their way to ordering crew neck long and short sleeve wk sweaters that will match all of the different color wk skirts like the heather gray walnut navey etc. They are the most basic tops that all of the Linea girls need with their matching skirts!! Cant wait for the new items!!!

    1. louis dell'olio

The short sleeve crew neck that sold out in Alabaster and black, also avail in grey and currant will be coming back in alabaster, black, perfectly pink and one other color that I can’t remember. If it sells out again I would certainly consider navy and HC Grey. Walnut….probably not

      1. Yoko

Louis, please do navy in the WK short sleeve crew neck you mention below.

“The short sleeve crew neck that sold out in Alabaster and black, also avail in grey and currant will be coming back in alabaster, black, perfectly pink and one other color that I can’t remember. If it sells out again I would certainly consider navy and HC Grey. Walnut….probably not”

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yoko….I looked up the 4th color and it’s…..NAVY! so you will be able to get it in July!

          1. Enjay

Yay! I love this sweater – so happy it’s coming in navy.

  61. Julia

    Dear Louis,
I love your line. However, I wish your line had more dresses in it, like it did a few years ago. As a young professional, I like to wear comfortable knit dresses that I can put in the washing machine. For example, I purchased your brown/yellow/olive striped dress a few years ago, as well as the blue knit dress that tied at the waist (It had a black print and also came in gray and a few other colors). Would you consider doing more dresses like these in the future?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Julia, I will have one dress this spring and maybe two next fall. Dresses are very HIGH return items, and the buyers are hesitant……can’t blame them. I have only had one dress reorder in the 17 years I’ve been designing for QVC, and the second time around it didn’t sell??? I guess whoever wanted them bought them the first time they were presented. They are a very difficult item to fit for all the different body types.. Even the Linea Leisure coat dress didn’t sell well enough to get a reorder. The reviews are all great and there was a wait list, but the returns were high again???? I won’t give up, but don’t expect many

      1. Shari

        Oh Louis !! That’s a shame !
I for one bought and kept all of your dresses and the fit was perfection. Guess I’m in the minority.
Anyway, keep trying, and I look forward to the new ones.

  62. Anonymous

Please, with regard to the new tank A287609, one more question. I am right on the line between S and M with the measurements. With the side slits, perhaps making it a bit wider, would you recommend sizing down to the S? I will not be wearing the tank on its own, but always with something over it.
I wish that we could have a flowy crepe gauze midi or maxi skirt, or longer crepe slim skirt to wear with the duster.
Your whisper knit crewnecks are mostly sold out already and I still cannot understand why they were on clearance. They are a 5 star item and I do hope that they will be reordered despite what you have said about clearance in the past.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear URL….what does URL stand for?…..Since the tank is made out of the med. weight Whisper Knit and it’s in the ENR construction, which is very stretchy, I would recommend the SM……I am working on some flowy long skirts for next year…….The crew neck, when it was shown, had a very low $ per minute selling, and didn’t sell until it went on clearance, when everyone thought ohoh, I better get it now before it’s gone. We all love a bargain, but in this case, and every case, clearance means it will not return. I had a lot of requests for a classic crew neck from those that don’t like V-necks or can’t wear TN sweaters, so I was happy to offer this classic of all classic sweaters, but there weren’t enough women who really wanted it. I can tell you it’s going to be very difficult for me to get another classic crew passed the buyers.

      1. Chris S.

Just a thought about this sweater…I think it was originally presented during the Christmas shopping season. Many ladies are using their money to shop for others and not on their own wardrobes.

        1. louis dell'olio

That may very well be, but QVC doesn’t care. If it doesn’t sell QVC doesn’t consider it a good item. It didn’t sell in Jan or Feb and the colors could have gone into spring easily….It only sold when it went on clearance, so it’s a dead item to them. That’s just the reality of it…..It’s like the V-neck L/S that they were not going to reorder. I finally, after many conversations, said to them I can’t come up with another “classic V-neck”. There answer was, “but Louis it has stopped selling.” I finally convinced them to bring it back in heather colors to give it a fresh look…….we’ll see.

          1. Teri

            Thank you!

          2. Rebecca

OH I am so happy to hear that the V-neck L/S classic is coming back! That is my all-time favorite WK piece – I think I have it in at least 5 or 6 colors! Yay!!!!!

            1. Grace

Same for me, Rebecca! Great news 🙂

      2. Debra

        Dear Louis,

        Thank you for your reply.

I am sorry to hear about the crewneck, I was one of them who loved it and bought right away. It is perfect with a short pencil skirt and a nice change from all of my swing sweaters.

I am very excited about the possibility of new skirts. With mules in the summer shoe forecast, a long skirt is always adorable with a sandal or with the booties being shown everywhere.

The new duster and tank are on my radar. Looking forward ~~

        Debra

      3. Enjay

I bought all four colors and adore this classic sweater. But I recall that when it first became available, there was talk on the Q forum about it being too short. I’m 5’6″, and found the 24″ length of my sweaters very classic, perfect and extremely flattering. I realize I’m probably the exception – my all-time favorite whisper knit is the classic v-neck, which also has a shorter, less “covered up” length. Perhaps many of the “Linea Ladies” prefer their sweaters longer?

        1. Grace

Enjay, I think that’s true–many of us were concerned about the length (same as the WK t-neck), but once we tried it, most of us reported back favorably on the QVC Forum. I purchased this sweater in all 4 colors at full price. I love it and wear it constantly and it’s such a basic that it’s hard to understand why it didn’t sell out. But, I also remember conversation about the ENR–some didn’t like the “stretchability” of the knit, which created sizing challenges…That could be a reason, or maybe when it was first presented during the holiday rush, there were other priorities.

          1. Enjay

Grace, I’m so glad to hear this worked for you, and you’re enjoying it, too.

        2. louis dell'olio

Dear Enjay…..24 to 25 inches is a “classic” length. When I was at AK that was the length I did for my basics. A few years back when I did a group of spring WK sweaters at 26″ they didn’t do well because we got complaints that they were too long……You simply can’t please everyone. All the waist whittling sweaters are shorter and they did very well. The “longer” one with the shirt collar is still in inventory. Maybe you remember it. It came in black, ivory and mahogany. I just showed it again on the last 3am show…….they are till here.

          1. Rebecca

I know this is not a popular opinion (at all), but I don’t care for the ENR knit. It just feels too heavy or something and doesn’t lay on me like the “regular” WK does. I had actually ordered a scarlet in the classic crewneck offering, and when it came, for some really odd reason it was DAMP! The inside of the plastic bag actually had condensation in it – the outside was dry, as was the actual QVC plastic shipping bag. Just the inside of the bag and the sweater itself was damp. But I didn’t like how it looked on me at all. Again, I know most of your LL love the ENR, but I have tried enough pieces of ENR to know they aren’t for me. I thought the length of that sweater was perfect though.

          2. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Louis, I remember your group of spring WK that started at 26″. They ran between 28-29″ in my size. I bought a lot of WK that year! It was the “fiesta” colors, right? I love that v-neck sleeveless top that was 29″. I am so glad I bought double in many of those colors. I also liked the longer, sleeveless mock neck that you did that year. I think the problem with the classic length is that for those of us that are full chested, there isn’t enough length once we fill the sweaters? I can see the challenge with even something as forgiving as knits. How they fit different customers is more than simply width and length. Body shape and proportions change the fit and where the hemline lands. You are so patient with us. It’s unfortunate that Q is in the numbers game to offer one thing for the majority, while you’re more aware of the various sizes/shapes of your customers and try to offer something for everyone.

            1. louis dell'olio

Deborah….that is exactly the group I’m talking about. I have had many discussions with the Q fitting department about the grades in length. We are not on the same page yet, but we are getting there. When I design a sweater at a certain length the grade can some times change it totally. For instance a 25 inch sweater can become 23 3/4 for the xxs which is too short……remember the models are mostly xxs or xs and 23 3/4 is way too short. I would like xxs, xs and sm to be one length, med, lg and xl longer, and the plus sizes longer still. I’m not sure if this would work out either, but the Q has it’s rules, and they are difficult to change. At Anne Klein we only graded two lengths, but we only went to a size 12.

          3. Enjay

I know you’re right Louis – you can’t please everyone. But I’m betting that the classic v-neck in heather colors will please most! I’m thrilled that you persisted and will be bringing this one back. I’ll be waiting to scoop it up, as soon as it’s available!

            1. WNYGal/April

My favorite WK, too, Enjay. AND, the perfect length.

      4. Debra

Would you recommend the S in the duster too since for a size 8-10, it will still be worn open?

        1. louis dell'olio

I really don’t like to give fit advice, but yes. I think the sm will work

  63. Debra

A287609 Your new tank with the side slits looks like a million bucks all right with the duster cardigan. Is this tank higher in the back to turn around? I love these colors and look forward to seeing more details. When is the release date?

  64. Debby

Im sorry was referring to the new tunic tank wk sweater ,does this have a low or high neck in the back , would like to wear backward for a crew or straight neck look rather than lower neck( I dress more conservatively) Love Love Love your line Can”t wait to order cream and black elongated cardigans ,already have ivory and black skirts!!!

    1. louis dell'olio

You can definitely turn it around….they should be on my 2/13 show.

  65. Debby

Love the look of the new sweater!! Can the new long sleeves tunic A287609 be worn backwards for a higher neck look?

    1. louis dell'olio

Sorry Debby, what is this tunic? I can’t find a picture.
