    JOY! JOY! JOY!
Nice surprise in the mail today, the beach glass necklace! Had been on backorder and thought I would never get it and so forgot about it. Probably a customer return though I can’t imagine why… Lovely to look at and wear, had been stalking the necklace and ordered 24 hours too late! Love the necklace even more in person!

  2. Judy

I see where the ponte knit pants with a 32 inch inseam are now showing two new colors of fawn and smoke on waitlist, can you explain these colors?

      1. Chris S.

Is it the same color as the smoke crushed gauze tunic from a few years ago?

  3. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

On your last show of the day, June 16th, with Amy, Angela and Maria were modeling the embroidered baseball jacket. They both were wearing the Mardi Gras necklace. My question is about the earrings they were wearing. I believe they were the multi colored chandelier earring, J270116, but they were gold rather than gunmetal. Will they be a part of your August jewelry show or were they available in the past and sold out in the gold? I’m hoping they are new. I really liked them. However being new to Linea I suspect I may have missed them.

    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bernadette, you are very observant! They were never offered in the gold, but I had the samples so I used them….didn’t think anyone would notice!

Can pebble crepe tunics be put into the dryer? I have been air drying them and they do get that stiff texture….

As they are not cotton, is there any issue of shrinkage?

    thanks!
    Debra

    1. Marilyn

After washing and line drying, I spray them with Downey Wrinkle Release and tumble dry on low for a few minutes. They come out soft and wrinkle free.

      1. Debra

thanks so very much for your help! 🙂

  5. Goldie76

Happy Furbaby Father’s Day, Louis! Why do I suspect that “the girls” are pampered beyond measure?

I hope they cuddle up to you and give you special nudges today.

  6. Judy

Should be vaca. And Linea addicted

  7. Judy

Hi Louis I hope you and Jac have a fabulous baca meanwhile maybe my credit card can recoup. So many beautiful items.looking forward to July for the alabaster pants?Cant thank you enough for your designs I am Lines addicted!!

  8. Janet Monette

Hello Louis, there was a beautiful clear, crystal-like bracelet, earrings, and necklace set that the models were wearing with the crepe gauze tank with chiffon bottom. Is that set one of yours? If so, will it be coming? If it wasn’t yours, what line or designer? Thank you. Great shows yesterday…as usual.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Janet, yes they were Linea and are now sold out. They were all on clearance for the longest time, and finally sold out as a lunch time special. I am working on another group, but I never know what they will buy. I’ve developed way too many items, all beautiful, but I know they won’t buy 2/3 rds of them

      1. Janet Monette

I appreciate your response. Obviously, I need to look at qvc.com more. I don’t recall seeing that jewelry suite. Since your clothes are always highly rated and your jewelry sells out, it’s surprising and disappointing that QVC doesn’t buy all of your designs. Thank you.

      2. Seka

Louis! I don’t understand your Jewellery Buyer. Your Jewellery sells out many many times without any on-air presentation! What’s going to happen for your one – hour Show! Half way through the Show everything will likely be Sold Out (based on the Items I see so far). More and more Ladies are joining the Linea Team – both for Clothing and Jewellery Items!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Seka…there is only ONE buyer who is allotted a certain amount of money to buy all categories…apparel, Linea Body, Jewelry etc etc…it’s not an easy task…….so it’s a matter of buying very few items deeper or more items at less quantity! Selfishly, I prefer her to buy more items so I can show more styles on the clothes.

          1. Seka

Louis – Thank you for the information. I am looking forward to your first Jewellery Show! I have so many of your beautiful pieces – that I (and several Family members) enjoy wearing!
            Have a wonderful vacation!

  9. Shari

Louis, is the Frosted necklace and earring set coming back? J321803
Says it’s not available and appears final. Loving it shown with the Plum ombre hi low (ordered the Plum and the Strawberry)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari…..nonono….that’s another necklace that was around for the longest time on clearance, and finally, when I posted the sneak peek of the plum top it finally sold out. When I took the pictures it was still avail.

  10. Anna

Hey Louis! I just made my very first QVC purchase, and I am happy I made it on three of your beautiful ombre tunics. Super excited for them to get here!! It really is a joy to watch you on QVC and learn about your designs, Louis. Now, as to my question; I am a short girl and almost every outfit I own seems to only emphasize that, as well as make me look chubby. I know nothing about dressing to flatter my body and make me look taller/thinner. Any advice on this matter would be so very appreciated! (Not sure if this info would help in answering at all, but: I am 22 yrs old and typically dress in semi-formal attire on a daily basis for my job. Blonde hair, brown eyes, light/warm tone skin color.)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Anna, the big question is how tall are you? First, the simplest way to achieve a “taller” appearance is to wear a column of color…..but that doesn’t necessarily mean one color from head to toe, which is what normally is considered a column. You can achieve this by wearing two colors of the same value, meaning one isn’t brighter or darker than the other. This way your eye isn’t broken. If you are super short avoid big prints like big florals. Smaller prints will suit you better. I thin the ombre should be perfect since it is a vertical print, meaning the eye goes up and down..Avoid baggy clothes. Always wear something with a little or a lot of shape!…..Now forget everything I said…..You’re TWENTY TWO!!!!! Have fun and experiment! You’re too young to put too many restrictions on yourself. I would guess, since you asked the question, you sort of already know what looks good on you, and what doesn’t. Anna welcome to the sight…..if there is anything I can help you with…..I’m always here!

  11. Joanne

    Hi Louis
Are you going to bring back the Aztec necklaces in alabaster and black. They sold out so quickly.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne…..that’s the BIG QUESTION!!!! The Aztec, the Mardi Gras, the Seed Beads, the Beach Glass, and more should all come back. It’s just a matter of QVC $$$$$. Do “they” just bring back the sold out items or buy new items. I don’t have a clue. I do know they reordered the cuff in all colors and that will be on my Aug. 25th, 6:00pm jewelry show on QVC2!

  12. Diamondscribe

Louis, I bought my sixth ombre tunic. I will continue to collect them as I love these tops. Today, I’m wearing another favorite top – my A265609 Mosaic print tunic made of the same fabric (came in gray/black and terracotta/black). I’d like to put in a request for another print in the A265609. That one has a V-neck with 3/4 sleeves. I know that Q won’t reorder that item number, but maybe they would consider the style in another print. I don’t think it was the style or the knit that was the reason it didn’t sell out. It had 32 5-star ratings and only one 1-star.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Diamondscribe….that number isn’t a mosaic print? It’s an abstract animal print. Is that the one you mean? They were supposed to reorder that print top, but there was a change in buyers at the time and it fell through the cracks!

      1. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

That’s the one. I just don’t see it as an animal print. To me it’s more abstract modern. I probably meant to type modern instead of mosaic. I really like A265609. It and the ombre tunic are my grab-n-go tops when I run late at the gym in the morning and have to head straight to the office. I throw on one of those 2 styles, a pair of the Linea Leisure pants, some of your jewelry – and, voila, I look professional with no indication whatsoever that I pulled my outfit from a duffel bag.

        1. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Meant to say I sure wish the A265609 hadn’t fallen through the cracks.

        2. Katie

I would love to get this top also in all colors. It has my 2 favorite things: v neck, and 3/4 sleeves. Did I mention easy wear also?

  13. Beryl

Loved the shows today. You and Antonella have such a good time. Of course Jac looked beautiful as always.

  14. Lynnh

I take back my question/comment yesterday about the hi-low on the QVC A263353 the ombre tunic. I heard your explanation of the hi-low on this particular design on QVC today. I now understand. I’m glad I was watching. But in general, I don’t like hi-low hems.

  15. designista

A263353 Ombre Tunic in new colors is available!

    1. Seka

Thanks designista! Just ordered the beautiful Celadon!

    2. Fairfax

Thank you! I ordered celadon, but I think I’m going back to add the plum. I don’t want to be sorry later when it is sold out 🙂

    3. Shari

Thanks for the heads up!! I would have missed the Plum and the Strawberry. Then would have not been a happy little camper!
      Just ordered both.

    4. Yvette

Oh boy, oh boy! I just ordered the celadon – number 5 in my ombre tunic collection. Thanks, designista!

      1. Yvette

Correction – this will be #6 for me.

  16. Mimi

Hi Louis. I bought several of your Q2 TSV, Pebble Crepe Tunics but didn’t receive the 2 whites. QVCs saying, they may get more in from the vendor. Is that true or am I waiting for returns? They put mine on back order! Thanks. Stay well and regards to Jac always.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know why they say that! No additional order was placed, and even if it were it would takes months to get in. It would disrupt the whole production schedule. So you are waiting for a return….sorry. Have you considered the other white pebble crepe tunic?

      1. Mimi

I have 3. Thanks, as always.

  17. Cindy Walker

    Hi Louis,
Do you think you will be making your beautiful Trench Coat in a longer length? Love the one available but would like one mid calf.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Every time I suggest it, either as a raincoat or in the same fabric, the buyers simply aren’t interested

      1. Joanne

        Hi Louis
For we short people your trench is full length. I own three trench’s in the navy/black combo, tan/black combo and black/black combo. I live in Chicago and your trench’s are surprisingly warm in very early spring and late fall. I also like yours better than my Burberry trench. It is a gorgeous trench and so slimming/flattering.

On another front I absolutely love your straight leg super ponte pants. They are so flattering/slimming.

      2. Cindy Walker

That’s a shame. I would love the same fabric and exact style. The longer length is so flattering. Oh, well. Maybe someday. Thanks so much for answering. You are the absolute best☺️😊

        1. I’m another who would love a calk-length trench! I bet lots of other women would as well.

Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Faux de Chine 3/4 Sleeve Blouse

    Louis,

I think this so-called “blouse” should be reintroduced as the most phenomenal — the best — lightweight jacket for the summer. The last two days I have taken out the Chive and Navy blouse/jacket, and I find that they are perfect to guard against any strong blasts of air conditioning without being cumbersome to carry around or stifling to even look at.

My thought is that they could be reintroduced next fall in colors such as Black, Charcoal Grey, Deep Green and Burgundy. The fabric seems so “rich.” I do not know why it strikes me that way. It isn’t softness that commends it (although it is kind enough to the skin), but there is such a suggestion of more money spent on the piece than actually was. Love your faux de chine!

    1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

And I am LOVING the navy with the phenomenal pleated skirt as the most perfect summer “suit”! Haven’t even bothered to put a shell under it yet. Though the perfect shell is the white one under the white safari shirt if you want to wear the top as a jacket as Goldie suggests. At my age in the heat I’m not wanting multiple layers. Just the navy “set” and Louis’ triple strand of ivory pearls and you have a perfect formal outfit that is “sinfully” cool in the heat while looking so classic!

      1. Pecan Cookie

We have some VIP customers coming in tomorrow and I’ve been contemplating what to wear in this NE heatwave. The navy will be just right! I’m so glad I caugbt all of your comments. Thank you for sharing!

        1. Goldie76

PC, so happy this discussion prompted you to wear the Navy. The other plus is that this fabric does not wrinkle easily (or at all). You will be dressed to impress in the faux de chine.

    2. Katie

I own all 4 and would buy any new colors. It is absolutely the most perfect garment. It is flattering to all sizes, light and cool. and can be used over tanks and so forth for cooler weather. I really hope to see this item to come back in many colors.

  19. Stephanie

I am fairly new to Linea and like the classic styling. Regarding colors for the boho skirts and blouses, I prefer soft, less intense or saturated colors (but not pastel). Soft Wedgwood or French blue, celery or celadon (for my jade jewelry), sea mist, and/or pinky coral would be nice.

    1. Grace

I’m with you on those color preferences!

  20. Jane J.

Hi Louis, Here’s my 2 cents — put me down for a big NO on capes and ruanas.

  21. Chris S.

I totally agree with Kate. Count me in for capes and ruanas. They are perfect for throwing over so many of my Linea whisper knit swing tunic length tops, etc.

    1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Me too on ruanas or capes!

  22. Kate

Can I make a request? I don’t know what sort of fabric you might choose, but have you ever considered doing some sort of outerwear cape for us? I have a few (vintage) that I wear often in the cooler months. They’re just the perfect solution for so many fashion challenges.

    1. Anonymous

Me, too! Ruanas and capes are perfec for we CA girls.

      1. Kate

I get that! I’ll just make do with the 4 pieces of outerwear I have from your collection.

  23. Chris S.

    Louis,
Please spill the beans about the other colors of the new crepe gauze pull on pants. The crepe gauze is my absolute favorite! I’ve been living in the button front tunics which I purchased in 4 colors…complements every time I wear one.

I’m interested in the grape ombre tunic. Should look really nice with my white hair. Will there be crepe gauze pants to coordinate???

    Thanks!

  24. luvitorleaveit

Louis I love the slate green chemise dress fits and drapes perfectly ordered my regular xl and although some of the ladies feels it’s too short I think the length is pretty close to the other dresses I own like A276299. I already posted in the Linea forum now I will write my review and order the pale terracotta. Would love to see more of the slate green as well as the periwinkle that you did in the classic button front shirt I receive numerous compliments whenever I wear it. Ordering the terracotta color now.

  25. Beryl

    Dear Louis,
I have just made a friend of mine a devoted fan of Linea. She loves the periwinkle boho skirt but the matching safari tops are sold out.Is ther anything else in periwinkle?

  26. Kate

I love, love, love my new chemise dresses! Such a comfy fit but still has an easy elegance to it. One of your best pieces from an exceptional season.

  27. Karen G

Louis, I think I heard that there were whisper knit dresses coming this fall? I am looking forward to seeing the design, but was wondering if you could let us in on the colors? I am also very much looking forward to the new colors in the long WK skirts and your fleece lined leggings! I like to plan ahead as you can see!

  28. Qulia

    Louis,

Regarding the colors of the chemise dress, I missed out on the black and the green and initially dismissed the idea that I could wear either of the other two shades. Being a brunette in my mid 50s with olive skin I was disappointed not to see something more in the “winter” family. But I remembered that some of my favorite Whisper Knit sweaters are in a brownish/orange shade. I think it was called Tobacco. I wear those sweaters with an animal print scarf or a faux tortoise shell necklace you did ages ago or Honora pearls in black, white, yellow, brown (a “leopard” color combination) and that way the color works for me. I also have a ponte jacket you did years ago with a funnel neck in the Sweet Potato color that I love. So, I ordered the terracotta and am hoping to make it work with my skin tone by strategic use of accessories. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works.

By the way, I also have several pieces you have done in the past in Magenta. It’s a magnificent color and I hope you done more in it in the future.

    Julia

    1. Qulia

Oops, meant “do” more of the magenta color in the future.

      1. Goldie76

Qulia, I am in total agreement that many colors we believe are not compatible with our coloring are entirely workable with well-chosen accessories. I am not endorsing that we force unattractive colors on ourselves, but sometimes we can love a color that does not love us in return. Some colors we absolutely must avoid for beauty’s sake. For instance, if a shade of beige or khaki morphs too easily into my skin tone — and there is not enough contrast — I avoid that shade like the plague. If, however, there is a certain unflattering green shade that I can transform into a flattering shade by adding a necklace or scarf, I go for it. I do not let the color of the garment hold me back. The one color against my skin plays successfully with my coloring, and the color of the accessory then plays successfully with the garment’s color. I do this often. That is why I fall madly in love with some of Louis’s greens, a shade that many with “winter” coloring (which I have) would avoid. But we all remember the Malachite that miraculously worked for almost each and every one of us.

        1. Qulia

Yes, that malachite was gorgeous. And, I was surprised at how much I love Louis’s olive. All his rich jewel tones work for me as well as the navy and black, but sometimes I do crave a more neutral, softer look. Pastels generally do not work for me but I loved the soft blue of the winter pastels he brought in the WK turtlenecks. I have the safari crinkle georgette in the lavender and apricot and they look great. His colors are so saturated and rich and it’s nice that he offer alternatives.

          Julia

          1. Goldie76

Amen, Julia! The man is a master of color.

        2. Goldie, Yes, color reflects up onto your face, so whatever is directly under your face is the color that will reflect up onto it. I was trained and certified as a personal color and image consultant back when my son was still very small and I worked in a studio in my home. In addition to the workshops I held, I also did individual consultations. Most of these were for professional women who already had a virtual army of navy, grey, and black business suits. What to do for my “warm” clients? We put blouses or scarfs in “their” colors with the suits they had and they successfully were able to continue wearing their often expensive suits. Not optimal for head to toe, but OK and better than what they wore before. Malachite was a terrific color for Winters! Contrast is also needed for Winters! Not so for the other seasons where the best combination of their colors is different

          1. Goldie76

Thank you so much, Barbara, for your input. Interesting that you were a personal color and image consultant at one time. (My equivalent of working at something I enjoyed while being an ultra-available mom was my stint as an assistant kindergarten teacher at the elementary school my sons attended. What a pleasure that “job” was.)

One of my favorite summer outfits involves the Linea Pebble Crepe top in olive, an olive skirt I bought from Coldwater Creek about a decade ago and a necklace of burgundy beads mixed with a gold chain. Fallish, do some of you say? As Barbara has written in earlier posts, the outfit is one of “summer darks.” I love it, and that necklace saves the day. Actually, I receive compliments when I wear that outfit, so I know the colors are working well with me, thanks to the necklace.

            1. Barbara in Virginia

Yes, my son was my first priority and I arranged my work around him. I LOVE many of the “Autumn” colors but sadly don’t wear them well. Burgundies and other reds work well with olives. The trick is to frame the face and bring the eye up to it, making it the focal point. Earrings also help do that. I enjoyed doing that work at that time. It was very gratifying to see women develop a self-image they were happy with. When I was in grad school I was intrigued with the idea of fashion as therapy. But there wasn’t funding for that as it wasn’t taken seriously. Dommage…

  29. mona

Dearest Louis, I would like to respectively request a smaller Tag in the back of your garments. Some are as large as an index card, and scratchy. I believe that they have gotten somewhat smaller, over the years, but may be the width of a 1/4 inch ribbon, sewn flat at each end would be better. I believe with your reputation, you don’t need to shout… With much admiration, Mona

  30. Seka

    Louis, There’s a NEW knit V-Neck Top posted on Q! Lovely colours! A 290991.

  31. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

My favorite all time fabric is whisper knit. I keep hoping that you will be bringing new tops with a v-neck and classic silhouette in whisper knit. Even though I live in Florida I wear your whisper knits year round. Tops close to my neck and/or those that flair out at the hip are not flattering on me. Please bring us v-necks and classic lines in your wonderful whisper knit! Thank you!

    Carol

  32. Diamondscribe

Louis, thank you so much for the pebble crepe pull on crop pants. It is hot here in Florida and those pants are the best. I own both colors and that takes care of two work days each week. I sure hope these get reordered and in more colors. But, I’m concerned because all the sizes are still available that this may not happen. To me these are a sleeper that should be a summer hit. If they don’t, can I plead for the same pant in either a shorter length or full to the ankle? Just to get the pant offered again next season! When I read the reviews, it seems that changing the length would take care of a few of those review issues. I’m happy whatever length. I just love the easy fit, wear and wash of this pant.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I couldn’t agree with you more…..however, a reorder probably won’t happen. As you say, they are avail in all colors all sizes. I guess we are in the minority of lovers of pebble crepe pants. I hear complaints that fabrics are too heavy or too thin, but these are the perfect weight…..still they don’t sell. I have done a full length version and those didn’t sell either, and they were VERY basic. I think I have to say uncle with pebble crepe bottoms……they simply do not sell. I know there are a few of you who love them, but obviously not enough to continue. Frankly, when the buyers look at the sales of these pants they probably wouldn’t want another, and I can’t fight a loosing battle.

      1. Maia

Based on diamondscribe’s comments and a forecast high near 100 for the next week, I ordered the pebble crepe crops in black. Hope they’ll ship quickly! I may be back for the navy soon.

  33. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

I live in the central time zone and my cable provider is showing that your QVC2 showing on June 16th is at 3pm. Not 7pm. Just an FYI.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know off the top of my head the time difference but my show is on at 7:00pm Eastern Time Zone…..if you look up the QVC2 schedule it says 7pm. If there is a 3pm it may be a repeat, but the live show is 7pm.

      1. Bernadette

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully is is just listed incorrectly on my cable guide. I hope they didn’t mess things up. I love to record your shows for ideas on what to wear to work!

Looking forward to all your upcoming shows especially the jewelry.

  34. Donna Aflague

    Hi Louis,
    1. I’d like to give Jac a standing ovation. She looks fabulous in everything you design. All the models look great but Jac outshines them in every show. She has a way of holding herself and moving that just bring the fashions to life.
    2. ditto what the brunette ladies (over 60) have said about color.
    3. Just received the new top with pleat in the back and love the blue and pink colors. Also the style.
    Donna from California

    1. louis dell'olio

thank you Donna….I will pass your message to Jac…….yes, she is a great model. not too brag but she was Armani, Valentino, Bill Blass and my favorite model…..just to mention a few……and a part part of that was the way she showed their clothes.

      1. Goldie76

Not surprised that Jac was cherished and respected by some of the top names in fashion. Interesting to know.

  35. Beth

I posted my color choices in your post on the main page earlier but I didn’t think of this color request until now, I would love to see other pieces in mochachinno. I did not get the dress as I did not think it would be a good fit for my body type otherwise, I would have gotten it in that color, I love any shade of brown. Thanks for all you do!

  36. Sharon Martin

I am hoping the new “GAUZE” CHEMISE DRESS, A290988 can be brought back in more colors. I bought three and they are fabulous.

  37. MadameDuFiffers

Copied and tweaked from my comment in the tunic area, which is off the first page and I wanted to make sure you saw it.

Dear Louis…I received my lt. blueberry “big deal” tunic and I’m in love with absolutely everything about it. It’s phenomenal. I’m hoping and praying that it will do well enough to be brought back in more colors next year…hibiscus and turq, please! I think it’s the summer version of the swing sweater in terms of appealing to the majority, i.e. neckline is flattering, jewelry/scarf friendly, and not too wide; 3/4 sleeves that can be rolled to elbow or shorter; a very slight high/low hem; roomy, but not too wide; cute little designer detail (pleat…soo cute)!! Thank you!

    ~Madame

  38. Mary

Thank you Louis for the neutral colors in the new dress. I bought 2 and I can hardly wait to get them.

  39. Clark55

Louis..I hope that I’m not too late in providing my input on the new colors. My color suggestions for A214117-Crinkle Georgette Safari Shirt are: Slate Green, Ivory, Plum, Rust & Purple. Suggestions for A70208-Boho Skirt are: Slate Green, Sherbet, Plum, Rust & Purple. Suggestion for A225482-Cotton T-Shirt are: Linen, Green, Plum & Dove Gray.

I was fortunate to order your chemise dress in the Slate Green. The color is so universal. I hope that you revisit that color in future designs. Thank you again.

P.S. I can’t wait until your Jewelry show airs in August. That’s going to be an AWESOME!!! show.

    1. louis dell'olio

Thank you for the suggestion. I am tallying all the suggestions so you got in under the wire……I just realized that we get QVC2 on Optimum here in CT……not that I watch, but it’s nice to know many women here in CT. must also receive it.

  40. Sandra Williams

Louis, I love the styles of the clothes you design but as a brunette, over 60 yrs. old, unless I buy most of the clothes you sell in black, the colors are unflattering to those of us who are in the”Winter” grouping. I know you do some basic colors but so many are pastels. I have enough black clothes that I could attend a funeral everyday for 4 months & will not buy anymore. I just want to let you know how I feel & think there may be others like myself. I know your beautiful blonde wife is your muse but her colors don’t work for many. I love your new chemise dress but colors don’t work for me but happy for others who can wear it. Thank you for your time.

    Sandra

    1. louis dell'olio

      What colors do you wear?

      1. Hi, Louis! I taught several four week personal color workshops many years ago. Probably draped a couple of thousand women and some men as well. I’ll see if I can put together a concise thump-nail description of what this is all about and get it to you. It is actually a very good organizing tool once you know what your “season” is. In addition to looking great in your best colors, wardrobe building is so much easier as the colors all go with each other. Also, accessories. It’s also very useful for determining what colors to offer. As I remember, “Winters” are about 30% of the entire population, with “Springs” being the smallest. Will put my thinking cap on. 🙂

    2. Kate

Allow me to chime in here as I’m also brunette and also have too much black.

I would love this dress (and other summer clothes) in navy, pink (either a pale pink or a rich carnation pink but some sort of saturated pink), turquoise, pure optic white, tee-shirt grey and some sort of purple (more grape than greyish-lilac).

Tans, peaches, yellows, and many greens are not my fashion friends.

I know you have to do something for everyone but these are my picks for most everything!

      1. Debbie B

I am in the same group as Kate & Sandra, brunette with light olive complexion. I bought the black dress, it was the only color that would work for me. I wear red (blue reds), turquoise, navy, white, aqua, royal blues. I hope the chemise is a success, and can do more colors.

        1. Newberry

Louis I echo what the lady’s have said here. I love your designs but most of your color choices don’t work for me either. Any of the colors mentioned by the above lady’s I would buy in an instant. Also as a woman over 60 I don’t wear sleeveless either.

          1. Another “Winter” here! The colors we wear well are clear, blue undertone, saturated colors. These are most often thought of as the jewel colors. Excepting of course golden topaz and the like. Or anything muted. A definitely grayed taupe is a neutral we can wear. At the other end of the value or light vs dark spectrum, we can wear the “icy” colors, pure white with a drop or two of pure blue undertone colors. I was able to wear the pink of the whisper crepe very well. I also noticed that Maria also wore it well. Those colors are often the hardest to find as they are so often powdered and muted, an instant color drain for us.

It is a matter of SKIN rather than hair color as so many think! Changing your hair color never changes yours skin color! Make up can make a superficial change, but often not for long, as warm undertoned makeup shades will more often than not turn and look very unnatural. You can use color correcting primers and such, but that is time consuming and not something most women want to bother with.

Basically, you want to repeat your natural color pattern in your clothes and makeup. And if you want to color your hair, the same principles apply.

            1. CR

I’d like to support the suggestion of more “Winter” friendly colors. Barbara in Virginia described the colors perfectly. I’d love to see more optic white as opposed to ivory.

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

I try to do both, and I consider Winter White close to optic white not ivory. Many fabrics look inexpensive in optic white and are more see through. I never followed season charts and don’t have a clue what a “winter, fall, spring or summer” is?

            3. Chris/Jazzmom

Another Winter light olive skinned person here. Brunette hair and would love the use of more purple in your tops. I own all of the WK V neck sweaters and would have loved a royal purple color in that style. I also look good in jewel tones.

            4. Merrylass

Another “winter” here. I think I have purchased everything black, navy, or charcoal grey made by Linea … as well as any the items I could find in lapis, sapphire, ruby, scarlet, and malachite. The jewel tones (and white) work best against my face but icy blues, pinks, and lavender can work. A clear turquoise looks nice too. Muted shades make my skin tone look muddy with olive as one of the worst colors on me. It would be great if the “winter” palette could be included more frequently.

  41. Goldie76

    Louis,

Slate Green is generating a fan club all its own. Do you have any thoughts for using the color for future Whisper Knit sweaters (it would be a brilliant choice for the Fall) or a longer dress or, maybe, a new gauze top? The color has caused some real excitement.

    1. louis dell'olio

I’ll wait for them to get it home and review it before I do anything else in it.

      1. dianeb

Louis-Kudos on the success of your chemise dress last night.
I agree with Goldie that slate green color is a winner! More
        choices please.

  42. Enjay

Louis, I grabbed the chemise dress in the black and slate green before they sold out last night. Simple, classsic, easy dressing at its best – and I’m so glad you went for a shorter length with these. Perfect for summer with sandals and tanned legs. And I’m definitely going to try your suggestion of a long cardi and boots when the weather gets cool. Thanks so much for this fabulous design!

    1. louis dell'olio

Enjay, I’m sure you will enjoy the dresses!

  43. Goldie76

    Louis,

I did not expect the Sea Blue in the “Georgette Crinkle Shirt & Tank” to be as flattering a color as it turned out to be. I am delighted by the shade. Such a wonderful surprise.

  44. Chrissy

I’m sure thatI must be the millionth person to ask this, but when will you bring back the Multi strand Long Bead Necklace (J239589)? I am determined to be ready to buy it this time!

  45. gapeach

I really like the colors of all the new chemise dresses, but alas, my figure doesn’t do well with this style. I’m hoping you will use any or all the colors in other new things coming up. I love the new fish necklace colors and texture, so I’m definitely hoping you will make a shorter top out of that sage color. All the jewelry looks beautiful and unique–can’t wait for the August jewelry show. Looks like the sellouts of some of your recent pieces are making QVC sit up and take notice. Which is all to the good for those of us who love all the things you do. Looking forward to your future appearances.

    1. Grace

Same for me, gapeach. Not so much my figure, because I can wear a chemise and love the style, but it’s the length. Much too short for these aging knees! I always remind myself that not every style is intended for everyone, and alas, this one sadly is not meant for me. But, I’ve added so many beautiful new clothes and purchased every jewelry piece this season that I can’t complain 😉

      1. Hedy

Love everything about the dress, the colors, the style BUT it’s too short. Can you do it in a tall and add a couple of inches? Or bring it in a midi?

        1. Goldie76

          “Yes” from me!

    2. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Me too gapeach. The colors are mouth-watering of course. Every one. 46 inches at the minimum for me but my preference is longer than that. But I cannot complain. This season has been a cornucopia of beautiful designs I CAN wear! As always so much thanks to Louis for all of it!I

  46. Yoko

Thank you again for requesting our Color suggestions.

1-A287608, the Whisper Knit long cardigan, black is coming back, and they want two new colors. I’m thinking navy and perfectly pink

2-A287609, the Whisper Knit coordinating tunic tank, black is coming back and I’m thinking navy and perfectly pink to coordinate back to the cardigan

Louis, This set is an all time favorite of mine. I like the navy choice very much. I think a pink shade would be nice, however perhaps a darker deeper pinkish/rose shade for winter. (I do like perfectly pink but I have enough of it for now)

I would also very much like to see the A287609 WK tunic in a short sleeve version. It is lovely and want some in short sleeves to wear alone. You are always so thoughtful. Thank you.

  47. Joanne

    Louis
I have to share with you something fun. I recently attended the Tulane University Commencement at the Super dome in New Orleans. I wore my Linea black baseball jacket, Linea black tank, Linea straight leg ponte pants from last winter with Fly London Yala Black Shoes. Many gals came up to me and asked me about the baseball jacket – where I purchased, what designer etc. One even asked if she could buy it from me as well looked to be a similar size. My sister told me she did not know what was a bigger hit my black baseball jacket or Helen Mirren, the commencement speaker. It was the first time I had actually worn the jacket as I live in Chicago and it has been too cold.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Beware when wearing that jacket! You are definitely going to get lots of comments…….LOL……If anyone has any doubt about emb. Baseball jackets being around…….Designers are showing them in their resort shows so they are here to stay.

  48. Chris S.

    Louis,
Are the sleeves on the chemise the same length as the gauze tee? I love the longer length on the tee.

    The India Pendant is gorgeous!

    Thanks!

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes Chris….they are the same length……and yes the India pendant is gorgeous. It will be on my August QVC2 jewelry show.

      1. dianeb

Louis- Sorry I’m a little confused is the India pendant shown with the
Jute dress coming Aug.25th or in the fall? But whenever well worth waiting for.

        1. louis dell'olio

I believe it will be on the Aug.25th show which is the beginning of fall.

  49. Judy

Louis please we need both the ponte and the LL pants reorder in Khaki and Olive please. Thank you.

  50. Beryl

    Goldie,
Did you know my nickname is Gorgeous. I like Louis’ Bella Beryl might have to swich.

    1. Goldie76

Beryl, how interesting! I hit on you nickname by chance.

No wonder you’re a Linea Lady. “Bella Beryl” is exquisite, I must say.

  51. Janice Henke

I am thrilled that you are bringing back the A262070 pant. Do you know the time frame on those? Hope it is soon!

    Many thanks

    1. louis dell'olio

It’s for next year….my guess Feb or March?

  52. Beryl

Just want to tell you I always dress in Linea but I’ve never received as many compliments as I have when I wear the bluebell boho with the bluebell tee and topped with the bluebell safari shirt worn as a jacket. Of course I also am wearing the mardigras necklace. Strangers even stop to comment.

    1. Beryl

Meant to sat a blue bell is in floral print.

    2. louis dell'olio

I’m going to have to call you “Bella Beryl”!

      1. Goldie76

        Adorable!

Beryl, wear your gorgeous outfit on gorgeous you in good health! (I’d give up dark chocolate to wear that skirt. I have the crinkle floral shirt in all three colorways, I love it so much. Absolutely divine.)

  53. dianeb

Louis- My 5 QVC2 big deals have been shipped.Looking forward to their
arrival and reading the reviews. How great that there will be a 1 hour jewelry show!
Regarding the green patina necklace- will the single strand and the triple strand
both be presented on the August 25th show? Let me add to the others and wish you and
    Jacq a wonderful vacation.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear dianeb……it’s only ONE STRAND at 72 inches! It can be wrapped as many times as you like!!Yes, as of now it should be on the August 25th show…..but from now until then things can change……fingers crossed!

      1. Goldie76

What is the “Green Patina Necklace?”

        I missed something, I think.

        1. louis dell'olio

You will see it tomorrow on my sneak peek!

          1. Goldie76

Thank you. You had me at “green.”

            1. Seka

Goldie76 – when the PC Tunic Big Deal originally aired – Maria was wearing the Necklace – with a matching Bracelet – and if I recall correctly Louis mentioned there were earrings as well! But this video has been updated unfortunately and is no longer available.

            2. louis dell'olio

That’s correct…there’s the 72 inch necklace with the earring as a set, and a 4 row stretch bracelet which has a loose fit. I don’t like stretch bracelets that are tight.

            3. Goldie76

Seka, thank you. I watched the show but must not have heard Louis point out those particular pieces.

              Wish I could see them.

          2. Maia

Yay for a loose fit on the bracelet! I need larger than normal in a bracelet so it just might fit me!

  54. Mimi

Hi Louis, I did complain to QVC re packaging of necklace. LIke you said, it probably won’t make a difference. Has QVC reordered A267864, V neck Cardi. I would love to get in raspberry in xxs. If yes, when should I start checking on line for it? Thanks. I’ve been watching your Q2 shows online. The tv version is squished. Bought several of the Big Deals. Thanks as always. Stay well.

      1. Mimi

Thanks. Enjoy your weekend. Wherever you are going on your vacation, ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY! You and Jac deserve a well needed vacation.I hope you have lazy, sunny days. Take care.

  55. Joanne

    Hi Louis
When will you be offering your Linea slim ankle pants in alabaster(A265615). On QVC’s website they were listed this morning in alabaster as well as chocolate. Will they be on your June shows?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne…..they are scheduled for July, however, since they are reorders they usually don ‘t hold them once they arrive and are processed. I would guess they will be avail at the end of June, but that’s a guess!

  56. Ann

The printed tunic is available again! A263353 I have been on the waiting list for alabaster for a month. The blue and coral are also available! MIne is In process.

  57. MadameDuFiffers

    Great show last night!

Speaking of colors: Whatever happened to rosehip and mulberry? Both these colors would translate to spring/summer as is.

    Madame

  58. Yvette

Louis, I just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE my new beach glass necklace! Everything about it is just perfect. I posted on the QVC forum and turned in a glowing review to QVC.com. Surely this one will be re-ordered so that all of the ladies who were shut out can get one!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank you for letting me know!

  59. Ruth

Hi Louis, Your show on QVC2 was great! I’m wondering if you could tell me what size Jac was wearing in the Big Deal tunic? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ruth….Jac was wearing xs which is what she usually wears in a woven top

      1. Ruth

Thanks so much. Have a wonderful weekend!

  60. Mimi

Hi Louis. Just received my Glass Bead Necklace and I LOVE IT!!!! I received it in a torn Jif Bag, the box was smashed and had a huge whole. Luckily, the necklace was in perfect condition. I am going to notify QVC re this problem but wanted to let you know, in case you wanted to reprimand them. The size of the bag was too small for the box that the necklace came in. Again, Love It, as all of your jewelry. Looking forward to tonight’s top. Have a good evening.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Will notify PTB…..but that probably won’t change anything

  61. Judy

Hi Louis ME AGAIN! Would like to know if the new BIG DEALtunic in the pebble crepe color of seafoam matches the pants A253576 or the pants A215175 which are lighter Thank in advance I know I can always wear white ,but I like the MONO look

  62. Donna Aflague

    Hi Louis:
Re: colors, selfishly I’m thinking of what looks good on me, not the masses. You always select colors that work well with both cool (me) and warm tones of skin each season so I’m always able to find something flattering.
A287617-Crepe gauze tunic- Ditto Bobbie’s suggestions and/or perhaps a rose pink. I like the look of this tunic worn over a tank, so a coordinating tank would be perfect if possible. (currently wearing A276293 sleeveless crepe/chiffon hem tunic in black and pale pink with same color button front tunic) Perhaps offer the button front tunic in some of the new colors of the chiffon hem tunic – Robins egg blue, pale lilac.
A225482- Cotton tee. Red, lavender, rose pink, blue (not navy)
A262070- Leisure pant, light or dark Kakhi, gray, blue (not navy) (This pant is so comfortable and perfect most of the year in California.)
P.S. Have considered calling the fire department a couple of times to quell the flames on my credit card. I have been buying multiples of everything this spring and summer and I’m ready to do it again on your second “Big Deal” tonight on QVC 2.
    Donna from California

  63. Bobbie

    Dear Louis,
Regarding color requests, I would like to have the Crepe Gauze button front tunic in royal blue, red, and turquoise. I already all of the current colors in this tunic and get a lot of compliments when wearing them. In Texas, I will be able to wear this fabric for three seasons, so the more, the merrier! Thank you for the opportunity to give suggestions!

  64. Debbie B

Did you get any reorders on jewelry? Love to see Mardi Gras necklace reordered. The colors you and others mentioned for the seed bead necklace sound interesting. Would love to see the pink quartz necklace in a blue lace agate option.
    Just hoping.
    Debbie

  65. Susan

COLORS, COLORS, COLORS! I really like your idea of the #287608 WK cardi and #287609 WK tank in navy and a palish pink. #287617 might be nice in mint or pale lilac, a paler shade of the lilac Boho skirt perhaps. Your idea of the #268216 pant is great in navy and alabaster or light khaki that would coordinate with alabaster (as in the crepe tank.) The Tee might be nice in ivory/alabaster (it’s so hard to find an ivory Tee), ice blue/aqua, and pale lilac. I repeatedly searched for the #70208 Boho skirt in neutral colors this season that I could potentially accent with a color top, so skirt colors I’m for are gray (spring/summer color of black), taupe (spring/summer color of espresso brown) along with pale denim blue, mint, and coral. I’d like to see those same colors in the #217117 Georgette shirt set. And then there’s the #262070 THE BEST PANTS EVER! I wear them to work almost daily. I love ALL of the colors that are offered now: taupe, navy, gray, black, and white. I’d like to see alabaster/light khaki and an olive green. I can’t wait for these pants to come back in stock! Thanks for asking for our opinions, Louis. Regards, Susan
