Louis, I have to pass on a compliment! Yesterday, I wore the Wing Collar Blouse with swing hem in winter white, some mini check black and white pants, the scarlet Whisper Knit Long Cardigan, with the Etruscan set in gold. Many people complimented me on the cardigan, and one person told me that I looked “so classy”. So the compliments are due to your wonderful clothes! Thank you!

Good morning Louis. Was looking again at the new cold shoulder tops and noticed the stream crop pants…might these return in white pebble crepe. Mine purchased years ago could stand replacing. no Pamela, these are reorder pants that didn’t come in white. White has to be lined and the patterns are different.
Well that’s ok. I can still wear my lined ones and the tunics I bought with them originally, A213621 I think. It is still my go to. Dear Nancy…..what a great call out. I would have never thought to put them together. I tried them and they look GREAT together. The cardigan is slightly darker but very tonal with the dress the Mint Mist floral and cracle bead necklace and earring set looks fabulous with this. The whole thing looks breezy and flowy…..perfect for a summer wedding.

Dear Marla, I have forwarded your address to TCJC, my jewelry company that will send you the earring. They are waiting to receive the earring from the manufacturer who has already sent it to them……..I am trying really hard to hang in there, but it really is so hard. My emotions seem to be just below the surface so even your words bring tears to my eyes. The other night I had a dream. I was hungry in the dream, and was eating steak tartar, which I really don’t like, but Jac loved it! Then Jac walked into the room and said to me “Hon I made you Tuna salad”. She said it like, why are you eating that?The dream was SO real, I said, “Hon, are you really here?”, and I woke up. After a second or two I realized it was a dream, and Jac wasn’t here. It was bittersweet. I loved seeing her and hearing her voice, but then reality came crashing in and I became very depressed. I really am on an emotional roller coaster! My SIL said I was lucky to dream of Jac so soon. She told me it took my brother years to dream of his 21 year old son, my nephew John, who died in a horrific accident on the Throgs Neck Bridge here in New York. He passed 23 years ago, and my brother always hopes that when he goes to sleep he will have another dream of John. I hope I have many dreams of my Baby, but waking up to reality is very debilitating…….as I said…..bittersweet……………I will delete your address.

This outfit is chocolate brown and cream, the fitted jacket is a silk tweed, the sweater a silk knit and the pencil skirt, wrapped to one side, in another tweed a combination of silk and wool. I wore it for many years and adored both the man and his esthetic!’ I wonder if you could design something for us with three textures and patterns. Maybe one item with three patterns. The robins have come back and my brave crocuses are pushing up, even with the snow around them. Spring always reminds me of everlasting life, that this world we live in is only part of our life. So watch for the new flowers, lift your face towards the sun and feel love…pure goodness that flows from God and your dear wife, down to you.
I love the inspiration stories behind your new designs. They make the clothes and jewelry even more special when we can think of your story begind them.

If you are referring to dress with short sleeves….there are no slits, and it can be shortened, but it will be in petite
Louis, I wanted to ask you about a problem with an earring from the Confetti necklace. One earring came with the resin cracked. I wanted to know if I should return it to QVC or should I check with your factory? I don’t want it to count as a return because it isn’t. If that is my only choice, then I won’t send back and use a different earring.
Dear Maria. Let me check with my manufacturer. I’m pretty sure they can replace it. Strange that is came cracked since it’s resin. As soon as I get an answer I’ll get right back to you!
Please don’t take this as a complaint, but the QVC shipping of your jewelry leaves a lot to be desired. I have many times received pkgs where the Linea box was open and the jewelry bag was loose in a shipping box/bag. I’ve had a bent post on an earring before. The last shipment came in a brown bag that was ripped open and the jewelry loose inside. It was pure luck that the necklace hadn’t fallen out along the way.
No one thinks you can do anything about that. Just passing along information to help you understand how items can be damaged in shipping.
I guess I need to make something clear. The earring is fractured on the inside: like marbles that have been baked and crack on the inside and are smooth on the outside. It is only noticeable really when light goes through it. I didn’t see it until I set it on a white counter with the lights on.
Dear Marla….the maker thinks they may have a pair. They always keep an extra set in case there is a reorder and for their library. If she has it, which she will look on Monday, she will let me know. The problem is she might have it in another color.
Another color would be fine. If she does have a set, I would be happy to send this pair back, so there would be a set to put in library.

was so elegant. And as a working girl, the sportswear was stunning. At that time, I was an executive for Bloomingdales,and it was all about the fashions and looking spectacular! (As well as professional).
I would like to add that Anne only designed the collection under her name for a very short time before she passed away. However, in that short time she changed the face of Fashion……From selling ensembles, where a jacket and skirt were sold together as a set both in the same size, Anne started SEPARATES where a woman was able to buy a top and bottom in two different sizes. Today we don’t even give that a second thought, but at the time it was unheard of. She was also the first designer to be given name recognition with her own area “The Anne Klein Corner” in a store as mentioned in the article. Other designers shared room in a communal salon. Remember there was no Ralph Lauren [he was still selling ties], there was no Calvin Klein….Anne started a whole new industry and category of Fashion….”AMERICAN SPORTSWEAR”…….I am so privileged to know she chose me to basically replace her as she knew she was dying of breast cancer. Unfortunately, she passed away before I could start at the company, but her spirit was all around…..She was definitely the nucleolus of the company…..The SUN, the LIONESS that everyone revolved around. I continued to carry the banner for 20 years. I grew up at Anne Klein, and I will always be grateful to Anne for choosing me. When she passed I went to her magnificent apartment on East 57th Street to pay my respects to her husband Chip Rubenstein. He gave me a sculpture of a lion made out of metal that had been one of Anne’s favorite possessions. It is a hand made piece….very artisan….very Anne. I loved it immediately, and it resides on a shelf in our family room where Jac and I could see it every day….It has become one of my most treasured possessions.One of these days I will post a picture….love, Louis

The A276293 Gauze Crepe Tank w/ Chiffon Bottom in Robin’s Egg Blue seems like it should be the match but it doesn’t look like it matches to me.
I love the way the Pale Pinks match.
Aqua mist is one of my favorite colors. Do you have any insights and/ or tips on how to match or harmonize with Aqua Mist?

Dear Ruth….there are no layering pieces in Aqua mist. The best suggestion I can offer is the reorder tunic, A293753 in ivory, but hat’s coming in June. The floral and bead necklace in Aqua mist will pull it all together.

I have the aqua mist tunic and wore it with either the crepe gauze tank w/ georgette bottom in navy or a navy whisper knit tank. I then wore navy bottoms. I’m looking forward to trying that combo this summer with the navy crops. I love navy mixed with turquoise or aqua shades! I also intend to wear the aqua mist floral and bead necklace to complete the look.

I too was looking to match Gauze Crepe Stand Collar Tunic in Aqua Mist with the Robin’s Egg Blue crepe tank and while they are not an exact match, it’s kind of tonal and I like how they look together. However, now that Louis has indicated another option, I will probably do that as well.
Louis, call me crazy, but I tried the Sangria Pompeii Necklace against, the Scarlet, the Cherry, the Rhubarb, the Paradise Red and the Chili Pepper–and it works with all of them! Granted it was evening here in MA and not in the daylight, but it seemed to me that the color of the underlying fabric “changed” the color of the translucent stations and made the necklace take on that color. The darker stations gave a nice contrast–some even took on a brownish hue depending on the underlying fabric. Check it out—I think it works!

Thank you for taking the time to try the Sangria Pompeii necklace with the various shades of red. I only have one other red necklace, so hearing that it works with those colors helped make my decision about which color to purchase. Sangria is now on its way to me!
The clear medallion will take on the under color, but I’m surprised it worked on scarlet and paradise red.
Louis, I’m going to try it again in the daylight today and I’ll let you know my thoughts.
OK, Louis, I just tried the Sangria Necklace, in the daylight (and it is gloomy here in MA today, with those Reds I mentioned above and the translucent stations take on the underlying red color and the necklace looks different with each color. You can’t just hold the necklace up to the sweater, you have to have it up against the fabric to see the magic of this “transforming” necklace! I also tried it with Wine and it looks great. Finally, it looks great with A295912, the Abstract Printed Long Sleeve Top in Siena!
Well…..that’s what I always say….you must play to get the most out of what you own.

Chris, because the medallions are two sizes and they are spaced out……it really doesn’t look overwhelming on. Also, if you are wearing the necklace on a coordinating color they blend into the garment, and that also keeps the necklace from looking heavy…..so you should try it on before making a judgement.

Thanks for a summer pant that works for the office. Honestly, I think most designers believe we all stop working in summer. So enjoying the new jewelry. Since another 12 to 17 inches of snow is due where we live tomorrow, you won’t be surprised that I wear the cowl neck sweaters often, along with all the swing tunic length turtlenecks with the wonderful gussets on the sides. I’ve been enjoying wearing the Cozumel necklace and earrings with those through the last week. And the earrings, a perfect length for me in the Cozumel set, have so much presence they do NOT get lost when I wear them with said turtlenecks without the necklace. Then the Confetti arrived 🙂 and I’m playing around with it. I had an idle wish go through my mind for an earring, just like the ones supplied, in every color on the necklace 🙂 Just fantasies, though happy ones. Enjoying my new colors in the stand collar topper in gauze crepe – white, pale lilac, and navy 🙂 Sigh. So love the endless possibilities with mixing and matching in all your styles, colors and fabrics. And now … oh the jewelry!

I still own in my cedar closet many of Louis’s AK Couture designs. I still can wear all of the blouses as they are silk, beautiful and timeless and some of the sweaters. I kept the jackets and some skirts also as they are so beautiful with sumptuous fabrics. If I lost 10 more pounds I could probably wear the all again. I look forward to seeing the designs from AK Couture incorporated into your LInea Collection.

Would you consider bringing back A270903 in a lighter weight fabric. I love my jackets.
It didn’t do well so probably not. I thought it was very pretty, good quality, great price, and the colors were fun, but you never know.
That is a very well-constructed and handsome hoodie. Love mine to bits.
So surprised to read that it didn’t do well! I have it in yellow, tan, and the blue/gray shade. It find myself reaching for them so often, too. Oh well, I guess you never know what will strike people’s fancy.
They went on clearance pretty quickly.
I’m back from a fabulous trip to India, and found my pyramid of joy waiting for me. I could not let those ponte crops escape my greedy clutches. I was lucky that I was in a place with internet access on the day they were posted, although I had other Linea Ladies on alert to order for me if I was in the many no reliable internet zones in which I spent most of the trip. Lots of lovely Linea in my suitcases. As I always say, Linea: Don’t leave home without it! Sadly, the show I set to tape while I was gone on QVC2 did not tape-guess it was rescheduled for another time slot.
India is a fascinating country. They have much to teach us about living together in tolerance and harmony.

What is the best way to identify your jewelry done under the Anne Klein label. I have been searching the web looking for your old pieces. I have found some of your pieces that you have reproduced under your Linea line and have made note of the Anne Klein identification, but other pieces that you have reproduced under your Linea line have different Anne Klein ID. I would very much like to be able to purchase some of your original pieces.

Dear Carol, I have seen some pieces on ebay, but do not be fooled! Some say Anne Klein Couture, but thet are NOT. ALL Anne Klein Couture pieces came with a tiny oval metal disc new the closing that clearly is engraved with Anne Klein Couture…..All other are fakes. I have see some pieces on a site called Cindy Joy or Cindyjoy, not sure which. I rarely see any of the Couture pieces. I am doing many of them this coming fall. They are dressier pieces, but really beautiful, and done exactly as the originals. One of the ladies at one of the factories we use used to work at the Anne Klein factory.She worked on the original samples. She had many of the original pieces that we are reproducing for next fall. They are exquisite. Really, they are too upscale for QVC, but if we sold them to any other store they would be quadrupled the price for sure…..

As you said, the prices are steep. I saw a necklace on eBay, it looks sculpted with semi precious stones-$1299.00, seller is backintime23 (most definitely not me!). The small oval disc is portrayed. Gorgeous!

Hi Louis,I realize this question is a season behind,but while in my closet playing tonight with my new HAUL, I came across the heathered pine wk sweater,still in pkg. Problem is I don’t have anything that coordinates except black or ivory. When searching your green pant options,the green ivy gauze crepe appears the closest in color, but are they too light weight? A deep and hearty thank you. I am enjoying wearing clothes again. I am having fun in my closet again.
Backstory: Pre-LDO my closet was filled with lovely clothes but I couldn’t seem to pull anything together. A few pieces were dated because I could not replicate them with a current style in the fabric quality or amount of tailoring that I like. When I could, it was a piece from one label and another piece from another label. Nothing fit together. My closet became a hodge-lodge. Then … I saw a “Louis” show. I listened carefully as you described the tailoring details and I realized that you weren’t another “fashion” designer. You were someone who actually knew what you were doing. I could tell you loved women. I purchased my first piece.
Yesterday and many purchases later: As I was dressing to meet friends I stepped into my closet and quickly assembled a perfect ensemble. When I walked out of my home to meet them I realized I was comfortable, appropriate and perfectly dressed. I realized that I felt great in my clothes again.
I not only love your clothes and the thought that goes into each piece, I appreciate the system of dressing that comes with your clothes. I feel like you are a friend helping me in a weak area of my life. No more. And when you can, please make more petites. Thank you. Blessings.

I tried on several of my new items today. Just a few comments about a few of my favorite pieces. I will be leaving reviews.
Had to get the safari shirts in olive and wine. Beautiful rich colors. I’ve lost count how many of these shirts I have.
I got the lace top in white and black. Love!!! This is so special and especially great for Florida. Such a wow!

I am absolutely delighted. The One Button Jacket in the ivory arrived yesterday, and I definitely know what all the raving has been about. I was not able to be up the night it was presented, so saldly missed out. I was able to find it waitlisted in several sizes. Though I had to order up a size, since my real size was unavailable, but I figured it was better than not having one. For several weeks, it remained waitlisted, but last week when I was checking my orders, it had changed to “in process.” And so I have it. I have a whiz of an alterations lady, so I’m sure she can take it in. Luckily, I purchased the matching pants after they first came out. So now I have my beautiful white suit. If they reorder, I will definitely get one in my right size, plus the black one. Am keeping my fingers crossed.
I also have recently received 3 of the Pompeii necklace sets, which I love. I also got the Carnival bracelet–really fun and beautiful, which goes nicely with the Mardi Gras necklace. Lastly, I ordered the pin-stripe shirt in blue–the blue Pompeii necklace is ideal for it. It is so much fun to be wearing the beautiful things you make. Looking forward to the upcoming programs.

Since the colors in both prints are the same, and only the back grounds are different, yes I can see them worn together for a change, but I do prefer them matching.

Confetti necklaces are F.AB.U.L.O.U.S. as I knew they would be. I love the weight of them (not light, not heavy, just right) and the rich colors. So glad I ordered two because honestly, layered, they are amazing. Nice earrings, too.
I love them layered to, one long and and doubled….or both doubled at different lengths.
Hello Louis, I was wondering if the whisper knit swing tank that had colors that matched the seed bead necklaces in the turquoise would work under the new tiger lily duster in white? Also is the fabric on the duster a bit sheer like a chiffon?
Also I just received my new super ponte light, crop pants and love them. Even though I am not a petite size I ordered the petite so that the crop pants would be more of a capri length and they work perfect for that. I loved them so much I ordered all the other colors. Thank you. -Romy

My “Crinkle Georgette Shirt/Tanks” in your divine Dark Olive and Wine arrived today. Beautiful colors and saturation. I admit to liking this shirt in darker hues more than in the lighter hues. Darker shades seem to work better with my coloring in this particular shirt/tank.
Also received the “Crepe Gauze Petite Pant” in Dark Olive. Loving all of it!

If ever I was stunned by a Linea garment that did not receive the appropriate love and admiration, it was the “Double-Zip Long Cardigan.”
The colors, the knit, the length — all were divine! Truly odd that it had such a cool reception. I paid full-price for every color you offered; that is how much of a fan I was of this piece.
I have 2 of them and they are 2 of my favorite things. Maybe they are too much for the south, but here in WA they are great!
This is one of my all time favorite sweaters. I have the wine/spice and the teal/grey. I love the faux shetland knit. When I wear them I catch people checking it out. I’ve worn it over your faux shetland V-neck tunic with a whisper knit turtleneck. Just pile on the Linea!

Just received the Pompeii in Sangria, and the Cozumel necklaces this afternoon. Oh my word , they are really beautiful! Sort of gets my mind off the fish necklace for awhile. The raspberry pink stripe shirt came today as well. I’m eagerly awaiting the passion fruit sea glass to go with it. I believe that necklace will be lovely with the bright pink boho skirt as well. You always made me look good at work and the other women always asked me where I shopped. Now that I am retired, the gauze crepe pieces are wonderful for travel and occasions, so easy to wear and pack!!! I have the wide leg pant in the black, two of the stand collar tunics, and a handful of the tanks in different versions to mix and match. I just received the long safari shirt and tank in the copper color and while I have black and brown ponte pants to wear with them, I’m wondering if the regular gauze crepe pull on pants in dark sand (A293755) would work with them as well?

Louis, I’m so excited about the upcoming denim pieces. I finally let go of my Linea denim jeans and crop pants from last time you had them. I’ve lost 50 pounds since I ordered those and they hang on me now. But does that stop me from wearing them? Nope. My family just laughs at me and says “you must really love those pants”. I do. Will the next denim be about the same weight? And, will they be that more dressy “city” denim that can go to the office as the last ones were? Besides replacing my LDO denim, I need a replacement for some of my cardigans. I’d like to put in a request now for 2019 if there’s still time. I very much need a new white cardigan. I know white is more costly and factories don’t like to do it. But, white cardigans are such a staple in a Florida girl’s wardrobe. I’d pay the extra tariff for true white.
It’s not the same denim, but it can certainly be worn in the office.It’s not a heavy denim so it’s perfect for Florida.

I received all four pair of the ponte light crops yesterday. The fit is perfect! I know there was a question about the sizing but I ordered my usual size 6 and they all fit well. Also, the fit is consistent between colors. I purchased two pair of ankle pants from another Qvc vendor a few months ago and one color fit well and one color was a half size off. I have never experienced inconsistency with your line. Thank you for your well made clothes and I look forward to the rest of your spring/summer line.

Hi Ginny, I agree totally with you! I was lucky enough to get the linen and navy in my size 8. They fit, feel and look amazing. I aslso ordered from another vendor 2 pairs of ankle pants. They were a TSV- let’s just leave it at that. The Black fit nicely and the white were too tight and the waist seam split. Thank goodness QVC took them back without a fuss. It’s Linea all the way for me now! Linea pants and bottoms fit consistently correct . I have ordered at least a half dozen pairs of bottoms – different fabric and styles since discovering Linea in December. I have been very pleased.
The responses for a WK hoodie continue to come in. Seems like many of us would like one regardless of the price. Try to read replies on the Linea forum blog.
Louis, if you please, in addition to a zipped hoodie in Whisper Knit, we would like a WK half zip pullover with collar and front kangaroo pocket. Is it too late to design/order these for next fall?
I like traditional styles, no waist whittling, nor uneven hemlines. Just want your special touch, in the original soft whisper knit, ribbed knit cuffs so those of us with short arms can fold up the sleeve, which have to be full length, please. I would really like the pullover to be offered in your “mahogany” color, the most beautiful color you ever did.
