fantastic show you had today Lois, I wanted one of everything and as always I learned a lot about the fabrics.
The Moss Crepe Tank dresses are posted on qvc.com – A306409 Petite, A306344 Regular.
Safe travels! I can’t wait for the new items!
Is there any hope that the seed bead bracelets will be ordered in the original colors of the necklaces?
I would love to see the black and gray necklace be also reordered with the cuff. That was just stunning and due to some glitch my order was not filled . It was very disappointing.
The cuffs are posted online yay!
Hi Louis: Hope that your Memorial Day weekend was filled with friends and love, and some joy for you. I’m sure it was a difficult one, in this year of “firsts” for you. I am remembering Jac too, with her quiet elegance and oh so sweet smile, as well as those I have lost, and of course our dearly cherished military who so bravely made our way of life so safe. I worry a little that we haven’t heard from you, as I always look forward to your lovely photos of your home and gardens. Wishing you well, Dodie
On May 25 you published your midi-dress which you presented May 20 on QVC. It is all sold out as of May 25. Is it going to be re-ordered & re-presented???
I’ve found that on QVC.com, when searching for a new item number, that until QVC posts/enters/loads it,the search will result in showing “Sold Out”. I think that this is what’s happening with the midi-dress A306344. Though Louis may have used it in an earlier presentation, “coming attractions”, it probably wasn’t part of QVC’s inventory at that point, nor now. It is misleading – they need another search result description.
The dress will be presented on the 30th on QVC1. Until it enters the system for ordering at midnight, it will show ‘Sold Out’ instead of ‘Unavailable at this time’.
Dear Louis – Would you consider making classic t-shirts (true white plus colors) in your light weight WK with a 3/4 sleeve and with 1) jewel neckline and another with 2) a v-neckline. I am desperate for a great tee’s!
Congratulations to Jennifer. She’s wonderful and wears Linea well.
Hi, Louis, Just to let you know that there were a lot of Ask Louis questions from May 14 to May 16 that were not answered. I know you said you were having trouble with receiving them, so I wonder if you could look here at your blog and answer the questions. Thanks.
Good afternoon. Will you have any blazers in your fall designs this year? I wear suits to work and always look for your designs first. Thank you so much! Lynn
I was wondering the same thing. I love his suits and always look to Louis first. So, Louis, any suits or blazers in our future?
I want more Blazers too!
Louis I’ve ordered a lot of T-shirt’s on QVC over 26 yrs of shopping there. But, I just ordered your short sleeve T in the cornflower blue and it is the best quality T-shirt I’ve ever received. I’m a medium and the fit is spot on. I just had to write to you to thank you and to tell you I’m going back for more colors!!!
Dear Louis,
This shell A287618 has been mostly sold out forever. But, it is a perfect shell for me with the higher jewel neck. I love your rayon span, but sadly the new top is a scoop neck. Are there any plans to come back with this jewel neck tank in other colors?
It was the perfect shell to wear with the WK maxi/midi dresses with the V neck this winter.
thank you,
Debra
I was going to ask the same thing about A287618! I have it in three colors and just love everything about it. I hope you can bring it back in more colors!
Celia
Congrats to Jennifer on her presentation this morning! She represented Linea quite well during her first appearance without you. She seemed relaxed and quite charming.
Donna from California
Adding more congrats! Not only is Jennifer a great presenter, she’s the perfect model for your designs, Louis. As always, you have excellent taste!
Hello Louis- Requesting more items: black with white trim and white (or alabaster or cream) with black or navy trim. Any season, any print, any fabric or WK and solid with contrasting trim.
I am not a floral girl in clothing or home decor, but I think a black & white or white & black floral or tropical is sophisticated- like me, LOL!
Louis,
I’d love a pair of crepe gauze pants in navy. I have the stand collar tunic and tank in navy, but I don’t think there has been a pair of pants in navy crepe gauze.
Maybe next year????
Thank you!
Louis- Regarding your new placement print tunic with the tassel tie-will this
be available on your next show or in June? This has been on my radar since I
saw it paired with the boho skirt. Thanks!
Dear Diane…..you’re guess is as good as mine. It was a May delivery but i knew know when they script things.
Loved the dresses. In my eyes she presents a tasteful chic. Two of my favorite looks on her have been the black and white glen plaid bateau neck top and especially the navy and green plaid coat with navy sailor pants. Wow! That would be a lovely print for a Linea piece..hint hint. Hope Louis and Ladies, you have a great week! Pamela in the sunny south.
Hi Louis!
I wanted to tell you that last night we went out for my dad’s 80th birthday. I wore my black wildflower top and skirt with the gold Etruscan set (only wish I had the bracelet too). I received several compliments – from strangers at the restaurant to friends on Facebook.
Thank you for making me feel pretty!!
Regarding the wedding dress………it was beautifully constructed, beautiful lines, very simple as it should be for a 36 year old, second time bride. I am sure most will disagree with me but I thought it very appropiate. She looked very elegant and dignified in an understated way. I thought her party dress was very, very pretty as well. Both dresses reflect her personal style which is simple, understated, beautifully cut and constructed. She wears her clothes, they do not wear her. It, really, doesn’t matter what we think only what she thinks.
I agree with you completely. I don’t understand all the criticism, because she looked so very lovely in both of those beautiful, elegant and understated dresses. Both designers apparently translated exactly what Meghan Markle wanted–to draw inspiration from the classic, simple styles worn by women she admired, said to be Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn. I think both designers, who are female, respectfully delivered that vision. Bravo to them for not making the creation of these wedding dresses about them and a chance to showboat their design skills on the world stage, but about the bride and her wishes. The bride communicated elegance and grace in what she wore and how she behaved, quietly speaking volumes about her sensitivity to the gravitas of the moment and her place in the royal family.
It was highly appropriate as it would have been bad form to compete with her SIL, a more direct consort to the second in line for the throne. And, given it’s her second marriage she may have wanted to shine more than the dress.
Hi Louis and ladies: I have to most respectfully disagree; I loved “the dress” and thought it was spot-on beautiful. To me, it was more a back-drop for the most amazing veil. Couldn’t have had a busy veil with a busy dress. I would have liked to see the back of the dress; was it all tiny buttons or did anyone see? Being a California native I was pleased to hear she included the Cali poppy, state flower, in her veil along with the other floral embroidery. Loved the no necklace, simple studs, and drop dead bracelet and the history of the tiara. All simply classics and elegant. For what it’s worth!……😄
Dodie, I totally agree with you!
Hi Louis,
I just saw that the original beach glass necklace is posted. I believe you said it will be available in more colors however they are not posted just yet. Would you please remind me of the additional colors and do you have an idea of when those colors will be posted?
Many thanks…
Hugs 🤗
Bernadette
Ask the Designer:
Today’s royal wedding dress and overall look. Thoughts?
Well Kate, I thought she looked lovely. The hair and makeup were perfect for her and the tiara and veil were beautiful. The dress was very simple and fit her beautifully. A pretty neckline and the fit and flare was very regal, but honestly I felt it was unremarkable. It won’t be one of those dresses that will go down in history that everyone will remember as being breath taking. There wasn’t much chatter about it from any of the anchors on any of the channels…..other than she looked “lovely”.
I was going to ask you the same question about the dress I want to thank you for teaching us about design. One fashion commentator said it had beautiful “construction.” Another said it had 6 important seems which made it hang well, that it was two layers of silk. It reminded me of the 1930’s, my mother’s silk gown and a little bit of Jean Harlow. I was hoping you would like it. I actually don’t like bateau necklines but I love silk. What kind of silk was it and was it white or ivory or creme? Thank you for helping us understand design. I liked it better than the Stella McCartney dress she is wearing right now at the evening party. Any thoughts on that dress? Elizabeth Gabber, Salibas CA
Thank you! I’m not a designer with your level of expertise and eye for detail, but I thought the same. It was elegant but needed some sort of sparkle. And cady is lovely, but it does wrinkle!
Louis-The one thing I heard that I completely agree with is-
in future years looking back at the dress it will not look dated. I think
I read that Diana in later years thought her dress was too “poufy” I also
believe Jackie O thought her dress was too busy, she had wanted something
more simple. I still love Grace Kelly’s dress.
Just for fun, throwing in my unsolicited opinion re: the wedding dress. I wish it had bell sleeves. Au courant, but no so dramatic as to ruin design. Hope you all are well. Go Justified! Preakness
Diane, I read that Jackie Kennedy hated her wedding dress and that Joe Kennedy picked it out and bought it and she felt she had to wear it! Can you imagine?!
I think at the neckline it needed a simple necklace to draw attention to the neckline. I wish there was scattered embroidery on the dress itself near the bottom or scattered from the waist down. I also would have chosen ivory over white. JMO. The nicest dress with a classic design was Kate Middleton’s dress.
I loved the neckline but feel that the sleeves and bodice were too big. It seemed that the dress overwhelmed the petite bride….just my very humble opinion….😬
I adored the dress! Also loved the Stella McCartney dress she wore to the evening reception. I thought both were stunning, elegant, classic and sophisticated. Breathtaking without glitz, glitter or embellishment. And both so perfectly reflective of the style of the woman wearing them.
I loved both gowns. I saw several interviews of Markle regarding the wedding dress she wore on her TV Show ” Suits”. She said personally she would prefer something simple and classic with a romantic twist. I also think she may have taken in consideration, that perhaps the media would try to compare her gown with Kate Middleton’s gown. The media in London are already doing that with each public event she attends. I felt Meghan may have lost weight in the last several weeks before the wedding, I do think with a smaller venue and making it kind of the people’s wedding. She may have thought the simpler the better. She loves the bateau neckline as she’s worn it in a couple of her day outfits. I thought the gown’s simplicity was perfect for the many things, this wedding meant to so many people. The second wedding dress by Stella McCartney was glorious in its simplicity of line and subtle glamour. Finally the BBC’s lip reading expert said Prince Harry told Meghan when she stepped up to him, ” You look stunning.” I suppose that response from the man you are marrying, is all the praise a woman needs in her choice of her wedding gown.
P.S.
Would loved to have seen what Louis would have designed 🙂
Melissa W – Louis did do a beautiful Wedding Dress Sketch for the Q’s Contest – it’s posted on the Linea Forum.

Hi Louis,
In a show a while ago with Mary Nelson, you showed Kate wearing the A287617 Stand Collar Tunic in black with a white gauze crepe tank that you said was coming soon and would match the Stand Collar Tunic in white. QVC just posted the reordered A293753 Assymetrical Gauze Crepe Tank in Ivory and I’m wondering if that is the tunic that will match the white stand collar tunic? Or is the white gauze crepe tank that you showed on Kate coming in the future? This is a little complicated and I hope I explained it so that you can understand my question.
Thanks, Ruth
Not confusing….yes, that’s the one and it just recently became avail. It is the reorder of a very popular crepe gauze tank tunic.
Louis, dud I somehow miss the geometry necklace, or is it yet to come?
Nancy you haven’y missed it….it’s due in June.
Phew! Thank you Louis!
Perhaps they are busy since I just noticed on Louis’ Facebook page that they listed a show on May 23rd from 7 to 9 with Pat Dementri on the main channel. The QVC calendar does not match that but Louis’ Facebook page was updated with this May 23rd show yesterday.
Dear Nicklaus….it is not a show. It’s a “hit”, and the ombre top in the new colors will be presented.
Sure hope we don’t have to wait until June jewelry show for those seed bead cuffs. Must admit…slightly irritated at having necklaces which I want to wear as a set…and NO bracelets. Am I missing something Ladies ? See no comments/ answers from Louis…or Jennifer for several days. Thanks so much.
Did just view new posts/sneak peeks on home page however, so that’s a relief…sure they are just busy.
Hi Pamela….The “Ask Louis” questions usually show up on my e-mail page so I know when someone has posted on my “ask Louis”, but for some reason that’s not happening????? so I have to come here deliberately to see if there are any new posts. Did you have a question??
I’m good. Thanks. Had a question May 10 but figured it out. Turns out the grey wood and gold leaf necklace works well with my smoke ponte pants and smoke pebble crepe top so didn’t have to return the necklace afterall. Want a seef bead cuff though…or 3.LOL.
Louis,
I place an order for the pebble crepe boat neck tunic A288390 in February on QVC. They were three new colors merlot, taupe, and I believe teal. Also all sizes were available. The items were on waitlist. I was on waitlist for over 45 days and then they cancelled the order. I have asked you about the tunic. Originally you repliedendof end of March they would be available. So I waited a few weeks and then I contacted you again. Your next reply was they should be arrive in May. Do you have any more info. I have a severe chronic health issue which makes anything against my skin extremely painful. That top is a miracle fo me. Please I beg you if you have any info please share. Thanks Ann
Dear Ann…….I don’t know where the confusion came from, but this tunic was always slotted for July delivery in the new colors, and they are also bringing in a petite version.
Louis, I am sooo glad it is coming in Petite, because I pulled my Black one out of the closet today and said “What is this dress?” Ooops!
Any chance we will get any new leggings to wear with this top? It begs for leggings.
Sheila/Sheesh
no new leggings
Louis-Thank you very much for the information. I will keep an eye out for the tunic. I was excited to see your ombré tunic back as well.
The Printed 3/4 Sleeve Hi-Low Hem Tunic is back in Alabaster A263353 in all sizes.
There are 2 new color swatch names w/o the photos on this top — turquoise/green & orchid/red.
How is the orchid/red sold out in the small already?
The Q is back to posting the (stock) Flame variation in the photo peeks…afraid some might make the assumption this is the Orchid/Red and be disappointed. Almost did that myself with the Coral…seems like ages ago 🙂
because they aren’t fully loaded
The Printed 3/4 Sleeve Hi-Low Hem tunic is back in Alabaster A263353 in all sizes.
Dear Louis, I am excited that I am going to be having my first art show at the beginning of next month. I am going to wear my tie-dye orange boho skirt with a white peasant top. I think it is the perfect outfit for the occasion. Thanks for keeping us ladies looking good.
A little thing–the bags that come with your jewelry are attractive AND you can see through them so you know which piece is in them. PLEASE don’t let them change to an opaque bag.
Totally agree! They are so pretty.
Also agree! I keep them standing up in an open, fabric-covered box on the dresser. Works well and looks pretty.
Dear Louis,
I just became aware that there was storm damage in parts of Connecticut last night. I do so very much hope that all is well with your lovely home and garden. Best wishes, Ruth
Hi Louis,
I first want to send my condolences to you on your loss of your beloved wife and also your scottie. I think Jac was one of the most elegant models I have ever watched. I often went back to your videos and watched Jac to see how she carried the clothes and how beautiful she wore your creations. The love you shared with her was obvious to anyone who watched your shows and I am glad you found your true partner and love of your life. All of your scotties are beautiful. I have two westies and lost my first westie 7 years ago. I miss him every day but am glad to still have the special love my remaining fur babies give to me and my husband every day.
Two questions. I have purchased two of your QVC 2Big Deals in the fuschia and turquoise. I am self-conscious about my arms so I have chosen to wear the aqua safari shirt over the V neck tank. I have ordered the white version to wear over the fuschia. Would you consider doing that fuschia color in the safari shirt or possibly some other layering piece to wear over that color? I have also been enjoying wearing the tie-dye cardigan sweaters that I bought in every color. I wondered if you would ever consider making a solid version of that sweater. I do have the shorter sleeve solid V neck sweaters from a few years ago but the three-quarter sleeves on the sweater I mentioned are more flattering. I have only been with you for about six years so I may have missed out on previous offerings. Your clothes are beautiful and I enjoy wearing everything I have bought from you. Thank-you for all you do for us.
Kathleen Alice
Will there be a reorder of the Printed 3/4 Sleeve Hi-Low Hem Tunic (A263353) in the Alabaster color combination?
Also, will there be any other pieces in Aqua Mist, Celadon, and Ivy?
Thanks for your help.
I’d love some more pieces in Ivy. Love that color.
Hi Louis, In a show with Mary Nelson, you showed Kate wearing the A287617 Stand Collar Tunic in black with a white gauze crepe tank that you said was coming soon and would match the Stand Collar Tunic in white..
I just realized the new colors offered in the A293753 tank (Fern, Ivory, Turqoise) match the A302599 Sequin Embellished Tunic. Will the white Gauze Crepe Tunic be coming at some point? Thanks.
Thank you Ruth for this information about the Asymmetrical Gauze Tank. I love that top! I just ordered it in the ivory.
Hi Louis,
Is A288390 the pebble crepe boat neck tunic coming back in more colors.
Thanks,
Donna from California
I pulled out a pair of pants from several seasons ago which are cotton in a bird print. I was again reminded that you have the BEST prints. So beautiful. I hope you consider making some cotton pants again for next summer–they are my go to pants for the hot summer days.
I am HEARTBROKEN!! I ordered four items from your jewelry collection featured on QVC on May 2, 2018. All items were available at the time of my order but QVC did not fulfill my order. I received an order confirmation with a tracking number. When I called QVC, they stated that none of the items were available for replacement and they could not explain why the order was not fulfilled. So disappointed): Is there any other option for me? Please contact me if you have any thoughts on this matter. I am a long-time customer and deeply appreciate the fine design and quality of your garments and jewelry. Thank you.
I am having issues too. My stuff shows shipped but doesn’t have a tracking number and never arrives, other jewelry shows shipped with a tracking number but the link goes to a page that states QVC is currently unavailable and then when I try the tracking number on usps the status is unavailable. It has been several days so something should appear for the status. I give up. I may have to break up with QVC. I’m really frustrated and upset.
I think we’d all like to break up with QVC, just saying. We just can’t quit Louis.
If I win the lottery, I’m starting the LDO network. We get everything we want on my network, including shoes and handbags.
Amen to that! I will be your first customer.
I’m so sorry about your experience. I had a similar experience and did not receive my items. Hoping that QVC will take the necessary steps to treat Louis’ customers with kindness. He is a class act in every sense of the word and I look forward to acquiring many new itms in the future!
Bernadette you had better call QVC on the phone. They have always made it right for me if you can explain the problem. They have a screen showing your purchases and you can go from there. Good luck!
Thank you!!! I will be sure to do so.
Hi, Louis. Are you bringing us a new Jean Jacket this season? Asking for a friend?
Sheila/Sheesh
Hi Sheesh,
I asked Louis about a denim jacket in his post about the Orangina top. Unfortunately, no jean jacket this season.
Louis Will fall see any super ponte petite or ankle pants in navy and dark taupe? Hoping! Is it too late to ask for a return of your iconic true safari jacket in khaki of course for next Spring? Thank you with love!
Louis, Creamsicle! Lovely! Would you be able to tell me the length of the denim shorts? Are they walking shorts or slightly shorter? I’m hoping for shorter! Even though I am 5’9″, the longer walking shorts do not look well on me. I stand on my assets! xoxoxo Cat
Louis, I see that you have said they are walking shorts! Silly me to have missed it, so no need to answer! Thanks,………..Cat
Hi, Louis, I loved the pictures of your beautiful garden. And your description of the meaning of the plants you have there. That’s why you are a gem to us. Just wanted to ask you if you might consider doing a navy safari shirt. I know you had it a few years ago, but I missed it. To me, it is a basic, like the black and white. I know you don’t want to bring back colors that you have done before, but would you consider bringing back colors that you had a while ago, because they were wonderful colors.
I, too, missed out on the navy and would love to see it offered again. Navy is now my new black.
Louis, I recently purchased your Etruscan bead set (J350131) in silver tone. I love all the jewelry of yours I’ve purchased but I think this is a very special item. It is so versatile, elegant and very understated. My question is if this item is reordered, would you consider offering it in chocolate tone? I love this color as it goes so well with your all your lovely shades of brown.
I just love everything of yours I’ve purchased over the years. Thank you for all you do for us!
Beth
Dear Beth, if it is considered for reordering again I would consider that color, and shiny black, but I doubt they would reorder for a third time.
Hi Louis-
What about the Etruscan bracelets? Are they coming back?
Celia
QVC has the peasant top, the short sleeve swing top and the sleeveless mixed media top listed and all are on 4 easy pays till 3 pm today.
Hi Louis I saw a rolo bracelet when you presented the georgette safari blouse it was on three of the models and you said it was coming ,any idea when and other than gold and silver any other colors? Thanks for your splendid work
Dear Judy, I only know the dates they are shipped for. I never know when they post things anymore. It will be in Shiny Gold, Shiny Silver, Shiny Black and Shiny gunmetal.
Thanks for your reply I’m on it when they post hope they will fit my small wrist (wish I had that problem elsewhere)??
Louis, I love the new skirt in orange and all the three whisper knit tanks. I wanted to ask you if you would consider doing a waist whittling whisper knit tank to coordinate with the boho skirts. I know the safari shirts have the tank to coordinate, however to me the wait whittling whisper knit tank is much more preferable, to get the same color from head to toe like the fire cracker skirt and fire cracker whisper knit tank ( can be waist whittling or not, i even like a sweetheart neck line). Also, can you please consider doing an alabaster waist whittling whisper knit tank. I would love that in whisper knit.
Thank you
Dear nikki…I would love to have the WW tank avail. in all the colors. I don’t even kn ow if they will reorder it yet. It seems whenever I do a tank there is one color that sell out and the others sit so it’s hard for me to get them to buy tanks at all. Since this one went with the Big Deal they bought them, but only 4 colors. If you noticed there was no orange so the ivory had to go with the orange and navy. I do agree an Alabaster tank is needed.
Hi Louis, Alabaster is terrific with the Orange Boho Skirt! It brings out the color that separates the Orange from the White. So for anyone who has the SS Alabaster WK Top, it’s a great look.
Sheila/Sheesh
Hi Louis,
The peasant top measurements read – Xxs chest – 37. I am surprised it doesn’t come in smaller sizes. Is that an error?
No that’s not an error. The peasant style is a more billowy blouse, and it’s also in the crinkle georgette so it will measure bigger then a cotton shirt. It will drape into the body. Are you extremely tiny or do you normally take xxs in close. It you are about the same size as the xxs models then it should be fine.
Oh, I ll try the xxs then.. i am usually an xxs but have very narrow shoulders. So even some of xxs tops are loose fitting and if the neck is a v neck or scoop, then they hang on me too low, unwearably low. I had to return the tunic tops that came with the crop pants for this very reason. I kept the pants though. and the waist whittling tank neckline on me is too low as well. I have to be very picky because of my shoulders.
Pratt, if you have narrow shoulders I don’t think this top, will, work for you
Ahh.. 🙁 thank you for helping me out.
Hi Louis,
Can you describe the fabric in the short sleeve swing top A306339? Have you used this fabric in other tops?
Thanks,
Donna from California
A254439 is the most recent style in the same fabric which
is a reorder. I have used this rayon jersey many times.
Dear Louis
What color is stream? A sketch or your description would be most helpful. Is portobello similar to ? Thank you for all you do for u s .LOVI NG EVERYTHING!,,,C.H.
If you look at the video of the cold shoulder Exotic Floral top with the ruffles, Kate is wearing the stream crop pant….It’s a sky blue….Portobello is a tan.
Hi Louis,
I received the floral embroidery shirt in blue, navy tie dye skirt, carnival necklaces in blue and turquoise, black fish necklace, seed bead necklaces in red and blue.. and I love them all. Every piece is flattering and so well made. Thank you. I m waiting for the dresses and crop pant tunic set. I am thrilled about wearing the red and blue seed bead necklaces with my traditional Indian wear, they ll be perfect.
After asking you about the trench coat last week, I kept stalking qvc and there was navy in my size.i immediately placed the order and have received it today. I’m super impressed and exhilarated that I could get one. It fits beautifully as if custom made. It’s a must have.
I recently started reading your blog and came to know about Jac, my sincere condolences. I teared up on reading all the posts. I learned about her and her style (esp the ivory blazer) and I immediately had to have it. It couldn’t get any better because you designed it for her. Size 2 wasn’t available so went for 4 fully ready to get it altered if needed. Guess what, it got me well all over except the sleeves are too long so will get that shortened. I ll always think of you and Jac when I wear it.
Could you suggest some casual styling options with the ivory blazer?
Thank your and stay well.
Dear Pratt, I am so happy to hear that you are please with all that you have received! If you look at the video if the blazer you will see Kate wearing the Ivory blazer with an ivory tank, black pants and black and white Converse sneakers. This is exactly how Jac would wear her Ivory blazers. Also, my boot cut Indigo jeans with a Tee shirt and navy and white Converse sneaker will look great too. I also have coming Indigo crops and walking shorts that will look terrific with the blazer, as an alternative to a tank or tee you may want to consider my sleeveless wing collar shirt under the blazer. It comes in a few colors, all of which would look good with the blazer and any of the bottoms mentioned. Jac also had some torn jeans in a light denim wash that she wore with her blazers and fun summer color ankle pants. Jac also has a pair of GILI camo pants that looked really cute with the blazer. As I always say….you must PLAY. With an ivory blazer the possibilities are endless!
Thank you so much for giving me so many ideas. Can’t wait to wear it 🙂
Me again! Pamela in sunny south. Just wanted to clarify my comments earlier regarding the dusk outfit…it’s my proportions that are off..Way off right now as I’ve gained. Lol Your pieces are gorgeous! The fabric right up there with the pebble crepe that I love. Thanks for all you do Louis!
Oh well.Thanks anyway.
Hi Louis,
I thought I had read someone posting a suggestion for a wood fishie! For what it is worth I think it is a terrific idea. Here’s to hoping! Fingers crossed.
Bernadette
I will look into it, but I think it might be something that would have to be hand done.
It was I who suggested the wood fish , so hoping it can happen.
Thanks
Hi Louis. Hope you are having a great thurs! It’s beautiful here in the sunny south.Watching my favorite golfers.Although I LOVE the new dusk mixed media set, don’t think the proportions are suited for me at this time…long top, short crops. I purchased the gray wood necklace to match but rather than return,I plan to get the Portobello pebble crepe outfit. Will this color be similar to dusk? Will the necklace work as well? Pebble crepe is the ultimate for me…softer and more comfortable than any of your other gauze or crepe. Thanks Louis. Love the Linea!!! Would love an alabaster pebble crepe top and ss cotton tee.
Oh well. Sorry to bother. Decided to go ahead and return necklace and dusk pieces, unfortunately . Will hope I have something else to match the Portobello color. With my luck lately, it won’t fit either. Thanks anyway.
Louis,
Have been happy with this year’s line of jewelry. The Orange carnival necklace is so pretty!
Do you think the buyers will let you bring back the glass pearl necklaces?
If you mean the old hand knotted 72” necklaces….probably not
What a shame they were the best outthere!!, classic, gorgeous, beautifully made and go with everything necklace – glad I have what I bought, would love more and Im sure so would many many others — please bring back
Louis,
That’s a shame. Maybe the buyers will let you bring us a slightly shorter version. Really would have liked to add to the few I have. They look great with your older charmeuse (sp?) blouses, boucle’ blazers and long velvet skirts during the colder months.
Thanks for all you do.
Dawn
Hi Louis,
This is not a complaint, just a heads up. The button holes on some of your denim jeans are too small. The button would not fit through the button hole. It was necessary to cut the button hole open just to open up the jeans. This may cause some fraying on the button hole. I experienced this problem on both the denim and indigo in size 10. This however didn’t stop me from purchasing 2 additional pairs yesterday.
I really like how the elastic help the jeans fit me around the waist. I would love to have these jeans in black if there is a reorder. Thanks for all of your great designs!
It was so tight that I was not able to open them, so I left it closed and they fit as pull-ons just perfectly.( A304733 size 18 )
I did the same thing. I couldn’t unbutton, so just pull them on. I have some spare Linea logo buttons and am planning to replace the larger button with a smaller one.
I will forward this to my manufacturer
Dear Louis,
I really like the denim shirt dresses and the bo ho skirts. I have ordered 5 recently. I am waiting on the navy floral. Would you consider designing a a line denim skirt that is a midi style? You do denim very well. Thanks you.
Rhonda…..you never know
Well if we’ve giving the denim wish list, I’d like a midi length pencil skirt in the new denim fabric. 🙂
I would love to see a longer denim midi!!! or other skirt style!
Wore my denim dress today with the raspberry leggings underneath.
Also, a light, medium and dark denim boho:)
Good morning Louis. I am trying to plan some purchases and find myself wondering what other colors the upcoming peasant shirt will be in, besides Caneel blue? I think you said it’s in the same fabric as the boho skirt, so I am quite curious!
Black and ivory
They are posted! And two other new tops are posted!
Dear Louis,
I’m here to rave about the mixed media tunic–I LOVE it!!! That fabric is just wonderful…silky, lightweight and soft. I ordered it in every color on a hunch I would like it, but it exceeded all my high expectations. My summer uniform is a tunic over slim ankle pants, so this couldn’t be more perfect. The fit is tailor-made, as many of your clothes are for me in my usual size, medium. I received the tops today and the pink tunic with the pink carnival necklace over your white crop ponte pants is gorgeous! Now, I’m waiting for the matching pants, but I already know I’ll love those, too 🙂
Dear Louis,
I just left my glowing review for the maxi dresses in Prune and Blue Fog. At 5’6″, the regular was a perfect length just grazing the ankle. In the moss crepe dresses, I was concerned when I ordered them, and got the petite, which gives me an above the ankle look, but I much prefer this longer length. The dresses are going to look great with gladiator sandals or ballet flats.
The only thing I need is a pocket! Very pleased with my new dresses and am compiling my collection of cotton cardigans and shrugs so that I can wear them to work with arm coverage. I am also very appreciative of the higher neckline, again, making it modest for different attitudes and fully work appropriate. Perhaps the cropped cardigan is the next piece to design to go with all of your sleeveless dresses.
By the way, I wore the new ivory mixed media top today over the Black moss crepe maxi dress and had the work appropriate look, with now cap sleeves showing. I topped it off with the original Carnival multicolored necklace for a pop of color and to pull the outfit together. I was complimented on the ensemble the minute I walked into work. (I was also asked if they were layered and showed it was one top with the georgette bottom that was also complimented on). I wore with black block sandals and was ready for any meetings that might come up.
So, for those unsure of what or how to cover their arms, the mixed media looks very nice layered over the moss crepe dress. The Black one, which is still available, would look very good over the red or admiral blue moss crepe dress. Again, as the mixed media top is a longer tunic length, layering it over the maxi means that it covers any body issues around the abdomen or behind.
I got the fish necklace in the copper finish specifically to go with the Prune and Blue Fog dresses that is a great contrast.
Lastly, I received my tie dye boho skirt in Navy and am so happy to have my A213621 Pebble Crepe boatneck top (so sadly discontinued) in Navy to wear with it. I also own that top in white which will be wonderful as well.
There is only white left in XL but it is a great top and would go beautifully with all of the new tie-dye boho skirts ~~ and it has inseam pockets with a boatneck top.
Everything fits true to size. I am also loving the denim dress with the lace sleeves so very much that I ordered a back up.
Linea has been my wardrobe for many years from 1x to size Small and I am so pleased to be able to continue to purchase your clothing. You are the only clothing designer I purchase at QVC. I appreciate the classic timeless dressing and easy mix and match pieces.
Lastly, you have had so many losses with Jac particularly and now your beloved dog, but please know that your clients are grateful that you did not choose to walk away, but, rather choose to continue to have the courage to move forward with grace and a smile.
thank you,
Debra
What a happy surprise! I have A216531, the 3 tier boho skirt in a black paisley print from 2011. It’s still in great shape, as are most of the pieces in my Linea wardrobe.
I now see that caneel blue was in your palette long before I was familiar with caneel blue.
I usually wear the skirt with a black or rosy pink top, but playing around today I noticed the blue in the skirt was an exact match to your new caneel blue crinkle georgette gauze shirt with matching shell. It looks like it was manufactured together. I wore it out today and it looks fabulous!
Thank you for suggesting we “play” with our clothes!
I also have the paisley print skirt and top. Recently picked up the caneel shirt and boho. Thought that the pieces would work together but didn’t pull them out to look closely. The red tank from the floral shirt set ( came in red, blue and black?) looks like it will go with the wildflower boho. Fun to play in our closets.
Hi, Louis. Not sure if anyone mentioned this previously, but Alabaster looks fabulous with the Orange Tie Dye Boho! We don’t have a regular Alabaster Tank, do we? I think we have the Swing Tank and the SS Tee in Alabaster. Check it out.

No Shelia….no alabaster tank…….
There is a tank with the alabaster safari set if you have that.
Also there is the alabaster sleeveless top with chiffon bottom from a few years ago.
Hi Louis,
Hope you are well. First, thank you for all the pics and posts about your and Jac’s life together. Second, I’m sorry about your darling puppy. Third, will you post the new colors for the inverted pleat pebble crepe top, please? Hoping the pink crush is a color I can wear because I love your pebble crepe for summer.
Thanks and take care.
Madame
Caroline…..it is not something i would recommend
It is just my personal preference, but I would prefer to have the liner in the tie-dye skirt in darker matching colors. My question is if I am foolish to think that I might be able to dye the fabric? I’m not sure if that type of fabric will lend itself to dyes. BTW if you ever buy the canvas Trader Joe’s bags, they are a lot of fun to dye other colors. Thank you in advance for any insight on this matter.
