Good Afternoon Louis, So you asked for feedback, so here I go. Yesterday, I received my first “batch” of orders and loved everything. Today I received the second group (both ordered at midnight the day you came on). As I already stated, I love the whisper knits – color and fabric and length; however when I got the cardigans today, I noticed the arms are way too long for me. Not a problem I thought, I’ll just push them up. That didn’t work because there is no elastic, of course, at the wrist and they just wouldn’t stay up. I’m keeping the aqua and returning the lime. I just had too many things to coordinate with the blue and really wanted to have it for them. I tried first folding the sleeves like a cuff a couple of times and then pushing it up. That just might work, but it IS bulky. Secondly, I love the fabric of the short new leggings, but on me, they’re too big in the crotch area. They almost pleat on me. I also wonder if that little narrow piece of elastic in the waist band will be sufficient. Perhaps a wider piece? One last thing: I really do love the new skirt with it’s wonderful pockets and thought I could pull out the drawstring and reduce the bulk at my waist; however then the skirt won’t stay up. My trusted tailor has moved, so I will need to get a new one and that will be a process. So I have a few returns today, but way more “keepers” like the blue ikat skirt and the black and ivory striped dress that finally came through from my waitlist order. It’s a dream – very, very sharp!

Hi Louis, I rceived my WK’s from the OLO, wanted to let you know that I have reviewed them on QVC, and that they are perfect for me. I ordered ss v-necks in nectarine, aqua, and black. Also the button front cardigans in black & navy. Loving the length of the cardigan (also the sleeve length on them). The short sleeve v-neck length is just right, the v is also right, not too low or too high. I plan to wear them together and separatley with many other things in my wardrobe. Love the color of nectarine and aqua, very spring-y, but will also work most thru fall. I truly enjoyed your last show, you seemed to be really having fun, and made me laugh at some of your comments. I am looking forward to your next show.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ann………glad to hear everything is working out well. It seems, other than the length debate, most are happy!

      1. Karen in WA

My suggestion is maybe instead to describing them as a tank, tunic would describe something longer. Both lengths are perfect and needed by us all. I hate to think there is a debate. 🙂

  3. Nara

    Dear Louis,
My Ikat skirt (the blue) and matching turquoise WK outfit arrived and I am in love! You have a gift for color and you read my mind! Your gorgeous clothing has made me stretch my limits in color and styles time after time! I’m going back for more WK’s – they are fabulous. It is such a joy to read you and be able to plan ahead for the broadcasts- which I cancel heaven and earth to watch! Don’t know what I’d do without you! Bless you and Jac – and the pups!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nara……..I’m so happy you like that coloration. Of course I love all three, but there is just something about the aqua, lime and raspberry in that one with the aqua WK that is so cool and refreshing.

  4. Toni Freese

    Dear Louis,

I just discovered you last fall and am lovingly addicted… to the point of bankruptcy…well not quite.
I have been thinking about the fact that you are on QVC. As far as my limited history of your relationship with them I only read that there was almost a “Great Schism” before last fall’s show. I buy almost everything you make in all colors and am frankly frustrated as it seems many of your devotees are about ordering and availability.

I shop more often at HSN but love you and a few others at QVC (Mally,Wen,Roberta’s Gardens etc) The point of all this is that if I correctly understand the relationship between QVC and HSN, there is a 25% stock ownership that still bonds them. I don’t know what your contract is but I believe you might benefit from looking into a switch because you deserve better (more sophisticated intelligent attractive hosts….Sharper images of product….better marketing etc) It seems as though they have more power to sell more of what you have rather than continuing to be as frustrated (forgive me for assuming) as all of us who have had to miss product.

I don’t expect you to respond to this for obvious reasons. Because I think you are such a Magician/Genius (bringing the kind of quality at the prices you do) I truly think you deserve better and am just putting this out to you and The Universe.
I do intend to follow up with a suggestion to HSN as well.

Great Fortune and Blessings to you and Jacques (sp?)
    Toni Freese

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Toni…..I truly thank you for your concern, but honestly, I am quite happy with QVC. My business in apparel and jewelry is growing, and I really don’t see myself catching a plane to fly to Florida to do a show. You know what they say…”.the grass is always greener on the other side”……until you get there!

  5. Catherine

Tbis is a request. I would like some full foldover sleeveless turtlenecks, patterned off of the waist-whittling design. The mocks are OK, but they hit an aging neck at the most unflattering of places, and they are so long that they are not as useful to me. The waist-whittling style, with its shorter length, seems to be a more updated, figure-flattering look.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Good idea……I will make a sketch! Actually I think I did an they went for the classic style….so now that the classic is done…..time for something new!

  6. GMT

Hello, Louis – I discovered Linea a few years ago and the percentage of my closet devoted to Linea has been expanding steadily. I am truly happy that so many ladies are delighted with the new WK sweaters in the longer lengths, but I just want to make a plea for you to continue to offer a variety of lengths to suit your fans of all heights, not only in the WKs, but in jackets and tops as well. I am only 5’1/4″ tall (on a good day!), so my best length in tops is 21-22″. Anything over 23″ or 23 1/2″ makes my short legs look even shorter! Because I take an XXS small in your tops, a number of your shorter sweaters, like the tie-die and the lace cardigans, bow sweater, and the original WK turtlenecks, thankfully do work for me. I know it is incredibly hard to design clothing which suits women of all sizes and heights and I’m more than happy to pass on some items, even though it pains me when I love a jacket or top which I know is too long! If QVC allowed you to offer petite sizes in all of your clothes, the problem would be solved. However, since that is never going to happen, just keep offering a variety of lengths in the WK sweaters and your jackets and tops and so that I and the other shorter Linea ladies can keep enjoying your wonderful clothes.

    1. Yvette

      Hi Louis,
GMT has just expressed what I wanted to say this morning. I received all of my new whisperknits yesterday and absolutely swooned over the colors! But at 5’2″ it’s a bit of a stretch for me to make these longer lengths work. I’m hoping that you will continue to provide shorter styles as well as the new longer lengths so that we can all continue to indulge our “whisperknit habit” no matter our height. Don’t know what I’d do without my Linea fix, lol!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Yvette…..if you dare…..some of the ladies have washed them and dried them in the drier and they have shrunk in length, but you should ask on the forum for advise before doing it, because I don’t know how much the width changed. I am trying to do varied lengths to please everyone, but that’s not easy when you are talking about a 9 inch difference in height.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear GMT…..5 1/4 on a good day….Darlin’ you need a pair of wedges…LOL. I don’t think I have ever produced a basic sweater at 21-22 inches, except the Bolero last season and the shrug this season. Qvc would not even accept a sweater at the length unless it were a very special cropped style. You truly re a petite, and I would dare to say the petite pants are still too long on you.. I know the turtleneck and the bow sweater were not 21 0r 22 inches….maybe 24…..but I do hear you and I know the problems you have. I do wish I could offer a real petite line, but that just isn’t in the cards.

  7. Hi, Louis!

My blue Ikat pieces arrived today and I am WILD about them! Both the top and the skirt will go with me to Jamaica in July for our youngest’s wedding for sure. My “almost” will soon be my daughter-in-law! I absolutely love the fabric and am wondering if you will be using it again. It is so light and airy, takes dye and printing beautifully, doesn’t wrinkle, and is very easy care. It is perfect for summer packing and traveling.

Now I am wondering when you will give us the sneak for the lace dress. Nudge, nudge.:-). The wedding will be more informal than formal, but dressy, and in either a garden or on the beach of Negril. And of course I am thinking about what to wear. So am dying to see the lace dress!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Jamacia in July oh la la! The Ikat will be perfect. The lace dress will be on air on the 20th. The morning show with Leah on Saturday. I know the show starts at 8am but I don’t know when I will be on. The SP is coming.

      1. We can’t wait to return to Jamaica and to beautiful Negril. The immediate family will all be staying there a week in cottages virtually on the beach with two acres of gardens. Sigh…The bride and groom want all of their loved ones to be together with them for the week. The bride’s family are all lovely and I know it will be a memorable time. When we were there last many moons ago there was nothing in Negril but the beautiful beaches and a few palm-roofed cabanas. Lots more Linea will be going with me! Can’t wait to see the lace dress. And also hope I can get the black lace cardigan after they cancelled my Wait List.

  8. Bobbie

Hi, Louis. I just received some of my latest orders today and really want to thank you for the colorful ikat tops and skirts. i ordered the pink and blue sets and love them both. They will be perfect for our southern summers!! The length of the skirts are perfect for me, so thank you for giving us a long skirt this spring! I’m so glad that I ordered the hammered necklaces and earrings in the gold and brass, because they look great with these prints. I’m going to a convention in Denver with my husband in June and plan to take at least one of them, as well as the stone or pale olive herringbone suits. These suits, by the way, are so comfortable and look sophisticated with the matching knit tops. I’ve ordered the new jewelry to complete the look! Of course, I’ll take other Linea favorites, boho skirts and pebble crepe tunics, the new Phoenix sportswear (so cute) and the scarf tops and skirts from last spring. Regarding the new whisper knit pieces, I received the sleeveless V-necks in all the colors for spring and summer layering. I spent about an hour trying them on with various tops and jackets. Even though they seem longer than the other WK pieces I have, they worked fine with everything, and I really don’t mind a little color peaking out from the hem of another layer. The arm holes were a little large and did not lay smoothly or flat for me, but that’s probably because of the way I am built. I did not buy them to wear alone, anyway, because I don’t like to expose my arms. Bottom line…I love how soft and light they feel, and the colors are gorgeous! Love everything and look forward to the rest of the items I ordered. (Bonus discovery: By the way the lime green WK matches perfectly your lime green jacket with gold buttons from previous seasons…wearing it tomorrow!)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bobbie…..I know you will be the best dress woman in Denver. I have a suggesting you may want to try about the armhole in the sweater not laying smoothly. Sometimes it is just a matter of the bra you are wearing. I do not allow any of the models to wear push up bras because they are meant for certain kinds of garments and many times distort the way a garment hangs. They can also push the fabric forward………something similar to the pointy bras of the 50’s. I’m not saying that you are wearing a push up, but a more natural bra might help. If you are large you may want to try a minimizer, or you may be 100% right….it may be just the way you are built…………I am sure you know what’s best for you and I know you are going to knock them out what ever you wear!

      1. Bobbie

Thank you for the suggestion! I really did not consider that as as variable, but it does make sense, so I’ll try some different styles.

  9. Karen in WA

    Hi Louis,
So my WK finally got across the Rocky Mtns and the Cascades and got delivered today. I received 8 fiesta colors, and all are wonderful. The nectarine does brighten up my tobacco phoenix shirt. Everything fits great. I will say, for those who want the mock neck and scoop neck for layering, they do run too long. They are definitely tunics. I have your jacket, and they are longer than that, but I just mushed it up a little. I love the quality, fit, colors and feel. I hope you keep bringing them in more colors. I also got the lace jacket. I never would have purchased it, but reading this forum and going back and looking at the videos and reviews, I thought I’d try it. I got the natural shell to go under. I was influenced by the words “cool” and “soft”. That, it is! I got it to wear to southern California this summer. Here in Seattle it is layer, layer, layer. That’s why your WK works so well here. They are soft and not bulky and all the colors go so well. My fishy necklace and bracelet goes with all of them. You’ve got me hooked! Linea all the way.

  10. Sharon Santourian Holman

Any chance of an ivory pull on pencil boot skirt this year? Maybe in ponte or that lovely knit the boot skirt is done with….my favorite. Would get a lot of mileage with an ivory, always elegant. Thanks Louis.

  11. Tuni

My Linea order arrived today and I could not be more delighted. I had a real shopping spree during your last visit. Whisper knit cardigans, v neck tanks, and mock necks in every color along with ikat tops and the ponte jackets. You can imagine the fun I had unwrapping each piece and modeling for my husband! Please bring the whisper knit pieces in new seasonal colors throughout the year. They are such wonderful foundation pieces for my wardrobe. My only struggle is in finding closet space for all my wonderful new items. Many Thanks Louis for the perfect designs, fabrics, and combinations. I am a very happy (wonderfully dressed) gal!

  12. Judi

    Hi Louis-
I MORE than happy with all the items I rec’d!!! You keep outdoing yourself, I will need an extra walk in closet!
The long white crinkly sheer blouse is fabulous! I thought it was outside my comfort zone, but it loooked so exquisite on Jac that I couldn’t resist! I suppose I have a new comfort zone. I will wear it with the white crops (the fit is excellent, BTW), but I can also visualize it with slacks, the white boho (when available), beach cover up and with jeans. I think I will wear it open on occasion with the lime WK for a punch of color. I was playing with the ikat skirt today. I got the purple?/olive. I’m such an olive person. It works with the pale olive tank and tops and looks great with the crocheted olive (from a few years ago)sweater and matching tank. There are so many colors to pull out of it.
The WK’s are fabulous, I like the slightly longer length and I’m so happy to finally have a beloved navy cardigan and mock neck.
I loved reading about the “behind the scenes” manufacturing in China. It was eye opening. I used to think it was surreal to be able to buy a designer knock off made in China, vs. a “real” designer piece that is now made in China. Now I know there is a big difference.
    I will leave glowing reviews.
As always, my best to you and Jac 🙂

  13. Bcm

    Dear Louis,

I received the cardigan with embroidery today and it is every bit as lovely as I had hoped it would be. I ordered it in my usual Linea size and it fit perfectly. I look forward to wearing it with the stone shell and pants, as well as my black crepe pants.
Now about those long black beads on the last show…. vintage or still to come? Thanks so much.

  14. Sharon

Hello Louis, I just received my 8 whisper knit sweaters and I Love Love the colors. They are such happy colors and they make me smile when I put them on. I would really like to Thank-you for making them long enough to cover my lower body I know some of the ladies don’t like the length so it’s like you made them just for me. I also received my Ikat top and its fits perfect. The kimono sweater is really flattering but I was thinking I could put little shoulder pads to lift it a little but I can do that. Now all I need are my two Ponte suits in black and blue and the black long top and I’m good to go. Oh I forgot the Ponte pants that are waiting in wings to show up again, plus I have to get the blue to match the other pieces. AGAIN THANK-YOU FOR MAKING THIS A HAPPY DAY ONE INSPITE OF THE AWFUL WEATHER WE ARE HAVING IN WISCONSIN!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…..are you having the blizzard I’ve been half listening about? I am so happy you like everything. Waiting to hear if everyone, at least almost everyone, is please or not….is like waiting to hear a final exam report! Please don’t forget to post your repmarks on the Linea site and the fashion forum. What color in the Ikat top did you choose? I think putting a little pad in the Kimono is a good idea.

      1. Sharon

Louis we are having torrential rain with hail and winds. I live in a park so I have rivers running through my yard. We were suppose to get some 60 degree weather but it didn’t happen. I got the pink Ikat and those colors will go with alot of bottoms. We also have a lot of lighting strikes too. If you don’t have your sod in yet and that rain hits your area you would have a mud pit. Thanks again
Louis for the length of these tops.

      2. TourEiffel

Oh dear, Louis! You just motivated me to leave my reviews tonight. When you said waiting for reviews feels like waiting for a final exam report, it brought back memories of law school (30 years ago), waiting for the professor to post grades (long before the Internet). I remember the anticipation and anxiety like it was yesterday! So, fear not, I’ll leave reviews tonight. Ordered the
WKs in every color and LOVE them! Ordered the casual skirts and jackets too and shall try on tonight. Thanks for your classic designs!

  15. Pamela in Anchorage

    Dear Louis:

I must chime in on the winds of current adulation! Absolutely thrilled with my recent purchases. Love ALL the Fiesta Colors in the OLO WK’s – can’t hardly wait to wear – Anchorage is covered in ‘fresh’ fallin’ snow & being an avid skier, I’m not complaining, but dreaming of planting the window flower boxes of my potter’s shed with “Pretty Much Picasso” petunias (purple w/lime green) when Spring finally comes to Alaska! Excited to see WHAT’s next in your outstanding prolific lineup!

p.s. Just know Jac would love those petunias – they are beauties which bloom ALL Summer long & no dead-head required; in other words – LOW maintenance! Colors that make People Happy………!

p.s.s. Lime & Tangerine are my WK Fav’s!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Glad to hear you love everything…..I guess I’m sorry about the snow…..today was 80 degrees. We went from the fire place roaring to summer in two days! Don’t forget to post your comments….it does matter.

  16. lois patrick

    Hi Louis,

The length on the new Wks is absolutely perfect. Originally ordered 7 pieces. After receiving my order, I placed a second order for more. Also received the lighter weight top with the uneven hem. So glad I ordered all three colors. I gravitate to your longer pieces. Very pleased. Thank you so much.

    Lois

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Der Lois……I’m very happy you have found everything to you liking………..I knew most would br happy with the WK, they are tried and true, but I’m very happy you like the flowing shirt. It’s a new fabric an a relatively new silhouette.

  17. Nancy

Hi Louis, Could you let us know which items are going to be on the next show? I try to make my list in advance so I focus on what I want to buy. Thank you. Since I’m on the west coast, it takes longer to receive my purchases and I’m still waiting for those items I ordered on your last show. They should be here any day!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

All in good time…………….it’s funny….Pamela in Alaska has gotten her things and you’re till waiting??

      1. Nancy

Sure am, but the first group came today! What fun I had trying everything on. Interestingly, I had worn a pair of black ponte leggings to work today and so I just took off my brown and black linea top and dug into the WK’s. OH, OH, OH! How soft they are and I couldn’t believe the difference the color made to my complexion and the whole feel of my black leggings. I was renewed after a rough day of work. I just happened to also have on your chunky, multi colored necklace and it looked fabulous with all of my WK colors – lime, orange, aqua. Tomorrow I should receive the cardigans I ordered, but today only the v neck tanks and v neck short sleeves. I also received the green and white floral jacket that was reduced to only $14 and change!!!!! What a bonus!!! I was surprised to see the green and white choice was still there with green being the color of the season. I am absolutely DELIGHTED with everything. I also got the V neck black tank to go with my copper phoenix pants as you showed in one of the sneak peaks. I will leave here now and go on QVC to leave my reviews. Can’t wait for the mail tomorrow!!

  18. Kate

I don’t know why I feel like I have to constantly report back to you when something arrives, but in any case, here goes: the ikat top in pink is rocking my little world today. I love this print and as a print-phobe, that’s saying something. I’m going to wear it now over leggings and white jeans, and this fall I can just imagine it over the walnut whisper knit pants with a belt worn low around the hips. I bought the hammered link necklace with the pinkish beads and it’s glorious together. This blouse looks so horrible in the Q’s pictures, but in person, its a horse of a (many) different color. Thanks for bringing a bit of trendy-chic to my summer.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s always a pleasure to hear from you…..and I do want to hear what you think of the things you have received. Good, bad or what ever…..it’s always good to know what works and what doesn’t. Can’t hit them out of the park every time.

      1. Debbie Macy

Well you sure did this time!! For me the Hybrid jacket is the big winner, second are the watches..of course I can’t forget the wonderful WK’s. HOME RUN!! I can’t wait for the wait listed pants to ship and the mystery tunic..

  19. Bcm

Thank you for your suggestions. I did notice that Jac was wearing a beautiful black necklace with the stone shell and pants when you sneak peaked a gorgeous black and stone cardigan to come in May. That whole look was so sophisticated. Was that long black necklace vintage or will be lucky enough to purchase that necklace in the future?

  20. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Thanks, Louis! Here is my input for the few pieces I have sent back:
Last Spring’s Solid Maxi: This garment looked frumpy on me, especially in the green. I kept the black to shorten. In order to get the bust to fit, the hips and waist were too loose. That combined with the length was just very unflattering. Lighter colors in knits can sometimes be a disaster as far as showing figure flaws, and this one fell into that category as well.
Peasant tops: I have learned this is not a good look for someone full-chested, no matter how much I may love the colors/fabrics. I have several, and invariably each time I go to wear them, I put them back and decide against it.
Summer skirts: I live in all that are knee length. The longer boho’s and maxi skirts sit in my closet untouched, except in spring and fall. They are hotter than the shorter versions, so I tend not to reach for them at all when it’s hot. I live in skirts when it is warm. I occasionally wear them in the winter. Pants are faster in the winter – and I tend to be moving at warp speed in the morning.
Fitted Pants: I prefer a pant that is shorter in the rise if I am to wear a top tucked in. Otherwise, I roll them down to my natural waist and this is no problem at all – I still purchase. I need a 2″ hem in any long length pant that is fitted, in order to get the inseam to 34″.
Elastic waist pants: If the outseam is 43″ with a 32″ inseam, I don’t even have to hem. If the crotch is baggy on this type of pant, it’s ok. It’s an easy fit. This might be why you have more luck with this style. There is less dependency on body quirks.
Maxi-Length dresses/skirts – Not a good look on me. I cut them all off.

That is the sum total of things I have struggled with. Occasionally I’ll get a manufacturing defect that will need to be exchanged, but have really managed to fine tune my purchases to my body type. Your blouses and jackets are amazing – ZERO returns. I also have loved all your fabric choices – perfection!

    Hope this helps!

  21. DeLois

Louis, just want to compliment you on your choice of fabrics. This last week-end, I went to a play and then out for some refreshments afterwards…… it was a late night for me. I wore the black and blue border print dress with the drawstring with the new longer length black jacket and when I arrived home after all that time and sitting, I had NO WRINKLES…….. Amazing!!!!!!!!

  22. Chris/Jazzmom

I started to ‘play’ with the pale caramel tank with some of the clothes I already have, designed by you. I found that the tile print blouse with matching skirt in the espresso color works very nicely having this tank underneath this blouse. It’s wonderful to have a basic piece work with existing items in one’s wardrobe without running out to find something that coordinates with the basic piece. Even the espresso safari shirt that came with the matching tank works well with this pale caramel tank. I still have some more things to ‘play’ with in my closet and I love that its a great neutral color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….all of those combinations sound great…..I’m sur as you experiment more, you will find many uses for this top. As you said its a great neutral. Even under a black jacket with my Golden brown [amber] jewelry it makes a strong and yet subtle statement.

  23. Bcm

    Hi Louis,

I have a question regarding accessories. I have the tweed shell and the herringbone pants in stone.(By the way, I tailored them to remain “languid” per your suggestion).I am awaiting the cardigan with embroidery in black to wear with them. What type of necklace do you suggest, especially if the cardigan is just buttoned at the top the way you showed it in your last show. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm,…..personally I like black accessories………………….a LONG strand of Black Jet beads, that pick up the light, but don’t distract too much from what you are wearing. A jet earring would be perfect. I have earrings that look like black lace with small jet drop that look incredible with eh sweater…..that I picked up a few years ago for practically nothing. Also, long pearls can work with a pearl earring…….preferably a drop. I would keep it clean and not too fussy. The jets would be my first choice. Hopefully, I will have some beauties this fall. I’m waiting for the fall samples to come in and then we have a Fall buy meeting.

      1. Karen in WA

Louis, do you think the herringbone pants will ever be re-ordered? My size is out. I have the shell.
        K

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen,……………neither the herringbone pant or jacket is going to be reordered…………sorry

  24. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Hi Louis: I have a minor problem with my herringbone jacket which I own in both the pale olive and the stone and thought I would pass my possible solution options past you before I take action on any of them. The breast pocket on my pale olive jacket is now “rippling” – or sagging in a pretty pronounced “rippling” type way. Basically it looks like it should have been lined or faced if you follow my description. To eliminate this problem should I: 1. Use spray starch on the pocket to try to stiffen it up and get it to stop sagging? 2. Try removing the button and moving it up slightly to try to force it to stop drooping? 3. Remove the pocket altogether and reapply it to the jacket pulling the fabrice more tightly? or perhaps even attempt to face it? Or other suggestions? How’s that for a weird question to start your day off? 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…..all of those solutions seem reasonable. Was this a condition the pocket had from the beginning, or something that developed? I would start with the easy one first and move the button.. If that doesn’t work try the spray starch, but test it on the inside first in a place where it won’t be noticeable. As a last resort take the pocket off and try a press -on to stiffen it. I don’t remember what the press on is called but it is a very light weight gauze like fabric that is used to stiffen lapels and collars in soft fabrics. Sometimes entire fronts of jackets have this applied to give the fabric more body. As a sewer you may know what I’m talking about…..if not I can get the exact name fore you. This is an easier solution than facing because it is just pressed on…….again I would recommend testing it first on something else…..an old hankie that you don’t want…..because once it’s on….it’s on. Also it comes in different weights and you would want the lightest so it isn’t too stiff. Let me know what happens.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Thanks Louis. I know exactly what you are talking about and I’m certain I have some in my sewing room. Yeah, I still have a sewing room 🙂 I’ll let you know when I get the “fix” done. We’re heading to Europe in less than 3 weeks so I might not get to the fix until after that, but I’ll report in. Oh and it wasn’t this way when the jacket arrived but after hanging in the closet over the last several months – it just “happened”.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Another trick they use in the real Couture garments to keep the jackets pristine…is….cut out of cardboard, a shape exactly like the pock and insert it foe storage. You can use the card board a new shirt comes in or the oak tag you can buy in any art supply store……I know some will read this and go….WHAT???….but it does help he jackets to maintain their shape.

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

GREAT tip Louis! Many, many thanks.

  25. Cela

    Dear Louis,
It seems the whisper knits are being received and the Fashion Forum is all a twitter with comments from your Linea ladies. Mine will be traveling a little farther so I want to be absolutely sure…would you please tell me: How does the jewel neck tunic (Fall collection) compare in general to the new WK we’re getting, in terms of the body fit; are the cardigans what you would consider tunic length; and is there a difference between the persimmon mock neck and this one? Sorry Louis, I want to be sure, as I don’t like to do returns.

    Thank you,

    Cela

    CIAO

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela, it is very difficult to compare one sweater to another, especially a fall style with a spring style. All I can really say is we fit all of the sweaters on the same woman, so there is a constant. I consider a tunic 28 inches and longer. The mock neck itself is very similar. A sleeveless sweater will alway fit a little closer to the body so there are no armhole gaps. If you have been buying one particular size I think you should stick to with it.

      1. Cela

I have been sizing down in the sweaters. I am going by the fact that the scoop neck hydrangea top was way too large, but I can easily have it altered.

Was wondering if the cardigans are slim through the hips, like the tunic last fall, and that will determine what size I get in the button cardigan. Definitely sizing down in the kimono because there seems to be a lot of ease in it. Thanks again.

P.S. I realize every garment is unique, so thanks for bearing with me.

      2. Cela

        Dear Louis,

It’s understandable that every garment is unique, so thanks for bearing with me.
My hydrangea tops came really roomy. But I can easily have them altered. But in terms of the cardigan, was wondering if it is slim in the hips like the tunic (even though it is shorter). That will determine what size I get. However, I will definitely size down in the kimono which seems to have a lot of ease in it.

        1. Cela

          Sorry for the duplication.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela, the hydrangea top is a poly/span fabric and the WK are sweaters……so it is difficult to compare. From my samples , all xs, the hydrangea top is looser around the hip than the a whisper Knit sweater. I would say the new sweaters are closer to the tunic than the hydrangea top. As for the kimono, personally I like them easy and looser than the classic cardigan, but that’s a personal choice.

  26. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

    Hi Louis –
I wanted to chime in on the reorder discussion. I am so sensitive to any criticism of your line. This is due to the fact that I want to do everything possible to make sure it continues and even grows. Other than tall pants, your garments are the only pieces I buy. The wardrobe building concept is FANTASTIC! On the rare occasion I do have criticism, I keep it to myself. I don’t want to influence any of the other ladies, especially when I think most of my issues are around my body type, and not your designs. Do you want this type of feedback? If so, what would be the best vehicle to deliver it?

P.S. I would love to have more drawstring pants. I lived in them this winter!
P.P.S. Will we see Pebble Crepe pieces this season?

    Thanks!
    Susan

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan I would never want you to edit what you say to me. I do ask for an honest evaluation of what you have received.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan……you can always let me know your opinions right here…..that’s why I have this web site….so we can have direct communication. I do have drawstring pants and pebble crepe pieces planned for spring, but there is no guarantee they will be selected.

  27. enjay

    Hi Louis,

I received my whisper knit order and adored the classic cardigans – they’re the perfect wardrobe essential. I’m also crazy about the white asymmetrical shirt – what a fantastic summer piece! But I was a little disappointed that the new sleeveless v-necks are considerably longer than your older whisper knits, most of which are 24″ long in my size Small. Were these just an exception, or will all whisper knits now be cut longer? I know many of your ladies like longer tops, but I think a shorter, high or mid hip length is so flattering. I hope you can continue to use that length for some of your online essentials. They really can’t be beat for quality and price.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Enjay……the lengths of the new WK program vary between 25 and 26 inches. This was a request by the buying team and an agreed upon group decision by them and my fit team. This does not mean that every sweater in the future will be longer. It would be nice to have one length that EVERYONE is happy with. For you 26 is too long, for others 24 is too short………..would 25 be the magic compromise?????

      1. Ann from Maryland

        Louis,

Here is my two cents re: the length of the whisper knits that I received:
The length is perfect – please don’t change a thing! 🙂
I ordered the short-sleeve scoopneck, the short-sleeve vneck, and the vneck cardigan. I’m 5’7″, so not unusually tall, but many tops in the market are too short for me. On me, I think the proportion is better having tops a bit longer.

        Hope this helps!

        Ann from Maryland

p.s. I’ve been reading the comments re: the quality of your clothing. It really is superb. I used to shop a lot at Nordstrom, and your quality is comparable or even better for a fraction of the price. And your knits are really really fine quality. Knits are expensive to produce, and yours are like a little secret. I don’t know if women realize what a value we are getting with the knits.

          1. Jane

            Good morning Louis,

Ditto to what Ann from Maryland said above — the length of the new Whisper Knits is perfect — don’t change a thing! I bought the sleeveless mock necks, sleeveless V-necks and the kimonos. I am 5’9″ and I find the longer length just perfect.

I have a question about the ponte pants that came with the TSV jacket. The fit on those pants is superb. That back seam makes those pants just fit perfectly. Of course, I love the fabric, the length and the slim leg. Are there any plans for these pants coming back in new colors? I have two black, two navy and a white, but would love a dark dark charcoal grey.

Thanks for all you do and for answering all our questions with such patience and grace.

            Jane

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane……………..I am happy you are pleased with the WK group. I can see that I will have to do a variety of lengths to keep everyone happy…..would 25 inches work for you for the basic sweaters? it’s a compromise, but I have to find a common length where the majority re happy. When it comes to reorders…..you have to figure three months after the sale of the item for me to know whether it is even a possibility. I haven’t heard anything yet and probably won’t until I start working on Spring 2014 with the buying team. Pants are always tough as far as reorders are concerned……returns are usually high on bottoms.

            2. Jane

              Louis,

I’m pretty easy — I can make most lengths work for me. Of course, I prefer the longer length, but 25-26 in a 1x WK would also work for me. You have your work cut out for you trying to please us all!

I have to tell you — we have a beautiful spring day here in NYC today. I had an appointment and I wore your TSV jacket and ponte pants in navy with the new phoenix shirt in indigo over the new WK sleeveless mock in hot pink with a fuschia Dooney & Bourke handbag. I felt like a million bucks! Thanks for giving us these great looks!

              Jane

      2. enjay

Louis, I apologize if my question was out of place.

I’ve noticed that I seem to like my skirts a little shorter, my cuts a little slimmer and my v-necks a little lower than many of the ladies on the Linea forum. So don’t pay any attention to me – it certainly looks like the majority of your ladies are very happy with this change.

And I’m sure I’ll be happily snapping up lots of your beautiful designs in the future – with or without the whisper knit tanks!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Enjay….there is NEVER a need to apologize…..the truth be know….I prefer the skirts shorter, the Vs lower and the cuts slimmer, but QVC has strict guidelines about such things….of course the hosts are allowed to show cleavage, but not the customers. In these cases the majority rules and we have to find the common denominator…..sometimes it does make designing a challenge! Jac and I were just in Bloomies, Neimans, and Norstroms and lots and lots to T shirts and tops were see through or at least sheer enough where something needed to be worn under them. I liked the airiness of them and women do understand you have to have a tank or cami……..Like the big shirt I just sold….but for the most part…..things can not be see through or that sheer on the Q, which is a huge challenge when most of the fabrics are not made of lead!

  28. Rebecca

I just had to leave a comment here to let you know that I very recently became a total convert to your line! I bought the TSV jacket in iris as my first ever Linea piece, and quite frankly, I was astounded and thrilled with the quality and comfort of that jacket, especially for the price! I quickly ordered another color, as well as your animal print blazer and a pair of ivory pants that was very, very limited in availability. I can not believe that you are not more prominently featured on QVC….you are obviously a very talented designer, and I am still in awe of the quality of your pieces.

Is there any possibility of the TSV jacket (or one similar) being offered in other colors down the road? Specifically, I think an emerald green, raspberry, wine, etc. colors would be very well received and I certainly would purchase each color! My only frustration now is so many pieces that have very high customer ratings I would love to try are not available. Thank you again for a great jacket! I will be a loyal Linea customer going forward, for sure.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rebecca,……………. it is so nice to hear from you. I love my Linea ladies and it is always a good feeling to hear from someone who has just discovered the line. My manufacturer, who by the way is a women, and I work very diligently to bring the very best we can within the restrictions we have. I can honestly say the product is exceptional My wife Jac and I spent yesterday walking through Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms stores looking at all of the new spring merchandise. I should be very used to the prices I see, because as the design director of the Anne Klein Companies for 20 years, my clothing was the same prices and more. However, designing the Linea line of apparel for QVC these past 13 years, has opened my eyes. For the most part, I offer the same quality workmanship and many times better than what I see in the department stores, and I offer it for a third of the price. For sure there are different qualities of fabric, but for the basic stretch cottons, the poly /rayon/span gaberdines, the rayon/span jersey, georgettes etc etc…..the fabrics I use are equal to and better than what is offered at double and triple the price. Many of my novelty fabrics are even better than what I have been seeing. Do not feel badly about what you have missed, because I can assure you what is coming is truly fabulous. I have really pushed the envelope on the quality and types of fabrics coming….Yes, some will definitely be a little more expensive than what I have done in the past, but they are worth every penny and then some……….and they will still be less than what you will find in the up scale stores. I do not compare my clothes to what you find in the mass produced stores. I KNOW EXACTLY what those clothes are made of and what factories are producing them. We do not use those factories who will only produce masses of volume and push the clothes through with an assembly line mentality. The factories I use are more boutique oriented…..and yes they do exist in China. The same care is taken with the Linea Jewelry line. I can’t say that there will never be a problem, because only God is perfect, but we do our best. Welcome to the world of LINEA!……………regard, Louis

      1. Goldie1976

        Dear Louis,

I very much enjoyed your take on what you and Jac saw yesterday in the better stores at our local malls. Your assessment of the garments you examined is invaluable.

The explanation of your individualized manufacturing vs. that of mass production was quite an eye-opener. Until now, I thought your manufacturers were the ones used by every other garment maker. For some reason, I thought that your insistence on quality explained why Linea was superior. Nice to know that boutique-oriented manufacturers produce the Linea line.

And your novelty fabrics are a better quality! Wonderful!

Thank you, Louis, for imposing your desires and demands on the manufacturers you use. We, your customers, appreciate your effort — and taste — very much.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie, I am always amused by comments made by individuals who say that “we” all manufacture in the same factories and use the same fabrics. That is very far from the truth. There are literally thousands of factories in China, though many are closing there too. We do not manufacture in the same factories used by Kohl’s , JC Pennies or Walmart. Nor do I use the fabrics they use. My manufacture as I have mentioned is a women. She is extremely proud of the product she produces and has very long relationships with the factories she uses. It also is an advantage working with a woman when it comes to fitting the clothes. She can put the clothes on and know what needs to be adjusted. We also use two very vocal fitting models ( a size small and a size 1X), who are very knowledgable about how clothes should fit. All in all we have a very small but good team, who work 24/7 making sure the product is the best it can be.

          1. Nancy

One last thought: the same upscale quality lines are in ALL of the department stores (and some have their own stores), so even after you spend the high price for what is considered higher quality, you still seem them coming and going. The wonderful thing about your clothes is that we rarely see them on others. People ask me where I get mine and I do share that they are your design and purchased on QVC. I know people who have in turn ordered them so your loyal fans are increasing . I am hoping that QVC will, in turn, start ordering more product to accommodate what must be a growing demand for the Linea line. Maybe we all have to call customer service when supply is low and request they order more. Would that help Louis ?

          2. Cathy in PA

            Dear Louis,

Love reading all the “behind the scenes”, as well as the shopping trip “peek over your shoulder”; so interesting! If I might, I’ll add a welcome to our new Linea Ladies, Rebecca; glad to have you with us 🙂

Now, I can hardly wait for those fabulouis fabrics pushing the envelope, the novelty fabrics … I spent my entire childhood and youth crawling fabric stores, helping my mother search for those elusive bolts hidden away in the corners, on the bottom shelf, table etc. She often used high end upholstery fabrics bought for a song, in soft cotton velvets, tweeds etc., to make divine suits for her clients … I am so looking forward to what’s coming!

Thanks Louis AND Jac 🙂 Cathy in PA

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

So an eye for fashion runs in the family. I understand totally about the excitement of searching for beautiful fabrics. People don’t realize that there is a world of knowledge and creativity in the development of beautiful fabrics way before the designers get them in their hands. When fabric designers sell their beautiful cloth…..for them….. it’s like giving their babies away……with the hope that we….the designers…..will do justice to what they have given birth to……it all sounds very dramatic, but fabric designers are very proud people and a wee bit eccentric. A quick funny story….one of the fabric resources I use is represented by a dear friend of mine. My friend informed me that this particular owner of the company picks and chooses who he will sell his cloth to. I am one of the chosen ones…….some big chain retailers that only sell their own lines…were not chosen…..they have a lot more buying power as a chain than I do…..but he doesn’t like them???? I told you ……ECCENTRIC!

            2. Cathy in PA

I do seem to have inherited my mother’s love of fine fabrics, but not her love of sewing LOL. I have the skills, but not the passion for the construction. My daughter got both though, as often happens. In defiance of a full time high intensity job, a 5 year old boy and other wonderful distractions, she’s working on a slim, snug charcoal grey pencil skirt with a fitted high waist, hand picked zipper and inset pockets with ruching in the side seams front and back. And she’s modified the pattern, and it’s a BURDA pattern, and she downloaded it from the internet, and it has to fit perfectly (oh, that back zipper, sigh) … go figure!

But the fabrics, oh my … I still have a piece of silk velvet my mother found; less than a yard, in the most incredible deep, mysterious, rich Moss green, unlike any other green I’ve ever seen … a green like fairies would sleep on …

Love the story about the fabric company owner; not surprised at all that he chooses to let you adopt his cloth 🙂 Next time you use one of his fabrics for us, let us know … that would be fun! So looking forward to what’s coming next … Have a great day, enjoy the sunshine, and many thanks for all you and Jac bring us 🙂 Cathy in PA

            3. Barbara in Virginia

I had to LOL at your comment about fabric wholesalers! It is the same with interior design. My two favorite textile and wall coverings design houses were VERY picky about whom they gave their accounts to. One even went to the extent of contacting the mayor of the town where I lived to find out what my reputation was locally! They also wanted me to speak French and any other languages represented by the embassies in DC. Many of their products were reproduced and/or adapted from historic documents and they wanted the designers to be handling them to be knowledgeable. I was initially rather amused by the hoops I had to jump through in order to get these accounts, but I later saw the wisdom of doing so. Of course once I had those two accounts I could get any others that I wanted. Often your reputation is everything.

  29. Debbie

    Dear louis,
Just wondering if you have petite pants coming before fall?
    thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No…..the buyer hasn’t purchased any of the up coming pants in a petite length………..sorry

      1. Debbie

There will be a lot of disappointed ladies.

  30. farmerwife

Jus wondered if something was wrong with the v neck whisper knit order. I ordered the lime, aqua, and nectarine. These were ordered almost as soon as they were up for ordering, hours before the show. Yesterday was notified the ime was unavailable, and now notified the aqua is also unavailabe. I don’t understand QVC’s shipping process at all. This is not my first order of your things that has been messed up. A lot of the rest of my order revolved around these 2 tanks. I realize you have nothing to do with the shipping and don’t fault you at all, just wanted to let you know what was going on.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear farmerwife, I can assure you nothing was wrong with the sweaters and every single piece that was ordered was delivered. The entire QVC order on this group was quite large and I thought it would last a while…..at least long enough for women to come back and be able to order more if they liked them. Actually, the only sweater that seems to be sold out in sizes is the V- neck tank. The Vs on the tank and the short sleeve sweater are practically the same…..so if you wish you can still make sets….they will definitely work together.

      1. Jane

        Louis,

Just FYI — the black sleeveless mock neck in 1X has been on Wait List right from the beginning at midnight when I ordered all my others. I am hoping that they just haven’t opened the box yet!

Received all my other WKs — the kimonos, V-necks and mock necks. Love the new fiesta colors as well as the classic black and navy.

        Jane

      2. farmerwife

Thank you so much, really prefer the sleeveless, but I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Just so frustrating to think you got yor order very very early in the process, and knowing that people who ordered later will be getting those beautiful things, and I won’t. Realize in the grand scheme of things it is nothing, just disappointing.

  31. Ann from Maryland

    Dear Louis,

Had a wonderful surprise today – all of the whisper knits that I ordered arrived.

Just wanted to let you know that they are perfect. I ordered the aqua, navy, and black. The aqua is a gorgeous color.

I sure hope that QVC is able to continue with the whisper knits with new colors each season. I can see that these sweaters will be the basis for my wardrobe, as I can think of at least a million ways to wear them.

Thanks for all that you do, Louis! Regards to Jac and the girls.

    Ann from Maryland

    1. Kate

FYI, (still waiting for WK) my drawstring skirts and watches arrives yesterday. LDO, that skirt is a wonder. So flattering and yet so comfy. I ordered in my normal small Linea bottom piece size and its a perfect fit. I will be taking it to the tailor to have 2-3 inches taken up as this would be a really good above-the-knee option. As you can imagine the black and white ones are perfection but the orange!!! Holy smokes that’s an awesome color–not too bright, but lively and rich. Only you could select an orange that’s not too scary. I’m going back to order a second black, and if it continues to sell well begin now to beg for navy blue and charcoal grey. The watches are a smidge big for my 6-1/4 wrist, but not so big that they spin around my wrist–I ordered white and orange and both are keepers. Thanks for everything and wish the FedEx guy luck because I’m ready to tackle him when my sweaters arrive.

      1. enjay

Kate – so happy to hear about the skirt! I waited for reviews before buying – after reading this, I snapped it up in black and blue, and will be stalking the other colors. I’ll be shortening it, too. It looks like a great “run-around” summer piece, but I love the option of doing a casual work look, too.

And I second the navy and grey request! I love grey – and would really, really love to see more Linea grey (hint, hint!)

        1. Judi

Triple hint, hint! Gray would be fabulous in the casual line, IMO. It would add the Linea elegance to the easy, sweatshirt type fabric that was used in the d/s skirt and jacket. I’d love to see gray in slacks, sweaters, etc.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

grey i coming in the new “FEATHER JERSEY GROUP…..the maxi skirt in grey with the matching tops or the hemp tank or any of the colors looks great.

            1. Judi

This is great news Louis! I love gray, thank you!
All of my items are out for delivery, they will arrive Monday.
              Have a great weekend 🙂

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

So happy you like what you have received…..unfortunately there is no one length that will make everyone happy…..they are either too long or too short…… and for the lucky few… just right. let me know when the sweaters arrive.

      3. Louis Dell'Olio

Kate….instead of getting a second black you really should get the Limoges Blue………………..with the Aqua WK it is an amazing color combination!

        1. Kate

Done! By the way, the length is fabulous as it is. I just like a shorter skirt-personal preference only.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ann…..that’s good too hear….I am glad you liked the fit…..someone said the sweater she ordered was HUGE????? I can understand something being more generous that they would like….but huge??? I would suggest either the sweater was miss labeled or they bought the wrong size….one thing these sweaters are not and that is huge.

  32. Bobbie Nichols

I do not see the question that I asked today…..

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bobby, I see your question, but your not going to like the answer. That top has not been reordered, and there will not be any avail in Chili Pepper….sorry.

  33. Nancy

I just wanted to leave an additional comment regarding the returns. Before I found this site, I was guilty of ordering multiple sizes because I fell in the middle of 2 sizes OR sometimes I wear a S and sometimes I wear a M in your clothes and other lines. I have discussed this with the operators on QVC and have been advised by THEM to order both and return the one I don’t use. I NEVER knew, until I read on your site, that the returns affect the reorders. First, I am sorry for any returns I have made that have affected your reorders and I am now pretty accurate in the sizes I order with you. I do believe that QVC should have a better way of evaluating their returns. In any event, I will be more diligent about my orders and returns.

    1. Karen in WA

Again, I’d like to say AMEN. I did not know that fact ether. However, the more I know this line, the more I know the sizing is very consistant. With one exception, the size was right on. I am sorry too, and I am being very careful. I love this forum and hope we can keep it forever.

  34. Amanda Perkins

    Dear Louis,

Will the sleeveless solid color Maxi be back in this season or sometime this summer? All sizes and colors are sold out – I have the black and love it! Thank you – Amanda

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Amanda, I believe you are talking about the cotton/span knit tank maxi dress, that came in a violet, sea green and black? If so, the answer unfortunately is no. Due to high returns, this dress was not reordered. Believe me, I am as disappointed as you. There are certain garments that I think are going to be a slam dunk, a sure reorder, only to find out months later that the returns were so high that it is not a reorder candidate. The bad thing is I have no idea why so many were returned, which would help me to make the necessary adjustments the next time. I guess the wait list was big enough to take care of what ever returns there were. It always surprises me when many of the women who initially buy a garment return it, but those who are on wait list don’t, which is the reason for the low inventory.

      1. Jen

Okay, I’m going to say it. The return rate is high because some women buy multiple sizes to make sure they get the right fit, knowing that they will be returning half of their order. They justify it by saying that if they only order one size and realize they needed something larger or smaller, the correct size will then be sold out. But what they’re really doing is not allowing reorders of your beautiful pieces in the future. I’ve asked for it to stop on the Q boards and I was bashed for it by many women. Some of the Linea lovers who want to see your line flourish did support me, but the majority felt it was their right to order two pieces, knowing that one would be returned.

        1. Jen

P.S. I believe that the ladies on this forum are the ones that feel the same way I do. I feel bad telling you this, but I also want you to know why this is happening and that it is NOT because of your design, cut, fabric, etc. Your designs are perfection.

          1. Jean

I did see that thread on Q. Started with someone complaining because they received a complaint letter from Q regarding their high return rate, which was over 50 percent according to some poster. How crazy is that? Even crazier, other posters were supporting their right to continue this behavior.
I wrote a post with two reasons for NOT doing this. 1) It’s totally unnecessary with Linea because the quality and the sizing of the line is consistent. I’ve only had a couple returns and that’s probably because I wasn’t paying close enough attention to the presentation. 2) This behavior of buying two sizes in multiple colors and returning half OR MORE is hurting all of us who love Linea because we don’t get the reorders of the items we would love to have in new colors.
Sadly, my post did not faze them. They had no comment on the reasoning in my post and just went right on talking about whether it was within their RIGHTS as customers to return over 50 percent of what they buy. I could see that no talk of what’s reasonable was going to make any difference. So I stopped reading the thread. There really is something to that mob mentality philosophy. They were inciting each other to complain about how awful and insensative Q was to send these letters out. Didn’t even want to consider the other side of the problem or even see it as a problem. Inexplicable.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jean, Jen and all….I hear you and I am very aware of this problem, which is not solely a Linea problem….it happens with all brands. That is why, I would venture to say, the majority of clothes that are reordered are easy relaxed fitting tops, or have lots of stretch. The pants that are reordered the most are elastic waist pull-ons….those are the facts and “we” are all aware of it. I rarely if ever do a bottom that doesn’t have elastic somewhere in the waist band. This is a design detail that only became important to me at QVC. I won’t say I never did a pull-on pant at Anne Klein, but never for a tailored trouser. Of course we only sold up to a size 12…….rarely a 14, and only at the buyers request. I totally understand customers who buy multiple sizes out of fear, but this only causes items to loose their reorder status, and even worse this drives the costs of the garments and shipping and handling up. I am only replying to your statement, because many of you are surprised when a garment that doesn’t seen to have any obvious flaws and gets terrific reviews is then dropped. It happens, it will happen, and If I believe in the garment strongly enough, I will try to bring it back in a new version….like the classic WK cardigan. If not there are always new things on the horizon……but……..my only words of wisdom are….if you love something….get it while you can….if you can.

            2. Nancy

Well now I/we understand the policy. As I age, I appreciate the “pull on” pants more and more; but as a working woman, I do still buy more tailored pants with the traditional waistband. That being said, QVC has new customers everyday. Today, alone, I passed your name on to two associates who had never purchased clothing on line before. They certainly wouldn’t know about quantities and reorders, so maybe a little more “education” would be appropriate for QVC. Again, the operators should not be telling potential customers to order multiple sizes if it negatively affects the designer. I’m just saying………..
Anyway, once again, thank you for all you do for all of us. I feel very fortunate to have found you.

      2. Amanda Perkins

Thank you for your reply Louis. I love the dress – can’t imagine why the returns either – it’s not like it’s a form fitting dress! Seems strange – do returns count when there is a return for another size to be sent? That’s all I can think of. Anyway I’m so sorry it won’t be back – it’s a great dress! Amanda

  35. Sharon

Hello Louis, I hope your recovering from yesterday’s show. I see they pulled the Ponte pants along the other mystery items. But my question is the pants suit in the tan color that was shown is that a new upcoming item or from the past. I think Angela was wearing it. I can’t wait to get my 12 whisper knits sweaters. I can’t believe the blue Ponte is sold out , that blue and orange are stunning. What’s next Louis for the 18th.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon….I didn’t show a tan suit. I did show the pale olive herringbone suit with the new pale olive flecked shell. Could that be it? Chantal had the ivory crepe suit on with the tie dye sweater….that was it for suits. They did pull the ponte pant and the feather jersey pieces….maybe to save them for the show on the 18TH?

      1. Sharon

It must have been the ivory crepe suit which I already have, I guess it looked more beige in the TV. How about my other question about the April 18th , don’t want to tease us? I’m really curious about that lace dress, I see lace everywhere in the fashion magazines. I wish you would have done a lace skirt.

      2. La Wanda Goodwin

That pale olive herringbone suit is beautiful; however, QVC does not have my size of medium in the jacket!!! Also, the olive jewelry is not showing up, yet. I bought the pale olive flecked shell ~ am looking forward to it, and will continue to keep checking on a daily basis for the other items.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear La Wanda, the jewelry is avail, but for some unknown reason to me the two necklaces are not posted. The bracelet and earrings are. If you type in the
J” number for the necklaces they will come up and they can be ordered. You can find the style numbers on my Sneak Peek photos.

  36. Bcm

    Dear Louis,

Not only are you an exceptional designer, with flair, unerring good taste and creator of timeless designs, you are a most compassionate one. You take the time to post the sneak peaks, all the while answering our every question under the sun. Watching your shows, like yesterday’s, bring all the creations to life! You make the effort to show us some of the beautiful ways to wear your clothes with style, including accessories that will enhance the look. We are so fortunate to have you. “Do something you love and you won’t work a day in your life.” How lucky you are to have your passion for creating beautiful things and how blessed we are to have you for all that you do. I remain one your devoted Linea Ladies and this is my love letter to you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm, thank you so much for your lovely words…..your quote is so true. I am so fortunate to be able to “work” at something I love. Sometimes it’s embarrassing to even call it work. There are certainly parts of the “business” that are less enjoyable….but the creating is pure joy.

  37. Nancy

Hi Louis, I couldn’t watch the show yesterday, so when I got home, I just pulled up each item on the “recently aired” section of their website and watch the videos of the presentations. I also brought up all of your newer items on their website and noticed the 3 items without pictures. I saw that you were going to post a picture of the short sleeve, asymmetrical hem tunic, so I’ve been watching your blog since then looking for it. Would love to see it before it sells out. I was able to order quite of few of the whisper knits – the v neck in black, lime and aqua, the v neck short sleeve in nectarine and aqua and the cardigan in lime and aqua. I also ordered the older tile print skirt in both colors. I thought the expresso color would work with the tobacco tank and the turquoise would work with the aqua color which appears to have both darker and lighter shades of that blue in it. Hope that was an accurate assumption. I also got the black scarf hem shirt to use with the tobacco tank and tobacco phoenix print pants. I love, love, love your clothes and have the confidence of knowing I will be well dressed when we hit the fashionable city of Florence. Thank you Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy………..the items were pulled from the website. I guess they are being held for the 18th, so I will have to wait awhile to post them.

      1. Nancy

Hi Louis, yes I read that they were pulled from Sharon’s comments above. I will still check in with your site frequently and watch for the short sleeve tunic. I read Bcm’s beautiful comments about you above and must say that she put it very eloquently. I think she really hit on the fact that you are communicating and advising us with your blog and ask Louis section. I believe it is very unusual for an accomplished, respected and recognized designer to interface personally with anyone who asks his opinion on line. I feel so fortunate to have found your website and sincerely thank you for making us all feel just a little more beautiful.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy, I am very appreciative of all the loyalty so many of you have shown to me and Jac, that it is not only my obligation, but my pleasure to inface with all of you on a personal basis.

          1. Debbie Macy

I am on wait list for the 3 tunics, 3 feather knit and 3 ponte pants. I don’t know what the tunics look like but I am sure I will want them…especially since now I know they are short sleeve.

  38. Marilyn P

Hi Louis, I asked about the new watch and the plain gold one. My wrist is 8 “.

  39. Pamela in Anchorage

    Hi Louis:

Got home late last night, but watched your taped show before bedtime. You & Linea go great with milk & cookies – Wonderful Show!

My order of the Fiesta WK sweater sets & the drawstring skirt in all available colors (plus a few others) should lead towards the future success of the OLO WK Program! Here’s hoping for a year ’round supply…………so one can add when one can afford!

  40. Chris/Jazzmom

My SIL & her GF are visiting us for a brief visit here and we all sat around the HD TV to see your show yesterday. I have to say they were pretty impressed with how you styled the models with your clothing and jewelry. It was a lot of fun to see the live fashion show!

Looking forward to the new walnut WK pieces this upcoming fall.
    Regards,
    Chris

  41. Catherine

Several posts ago you referred to a lace dress coming this season. Do you have any more information about when it will be available?

And thank you, thank you, thank you for your persistence in getting the whisper knits purchased. I saved my budget dollars for those lovely pieces.

If possible, I would like to see a re-order of any of the walnut pieces that were destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The lace dress, as of now, is scheduled to be on the Morning show with Leah on April 20th, but don’t quote me, because from now until them…..things can change!! Walnut will be returning this fall with my FALL WHISPER KNIT ON LINE ONLY PROGRAM!!!!

      1. Catherine

        Wonderful. I couldn’t ask for m.re

  42. Jane

    Good morning, Louis,

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the show yesterday. I was blown away with how beautiful the colors of the Ikat print were. Your sneak peek pictures are great but seeing the colors live makes all the difference. I love bright colors and the colors of the Ikats and all the new fiesta colors of the Whisper Knits are spectacular!

Loved the turquoise asymmetrical shirt with the lime mock neck (bought both pieces). Do I remember correctly that the turquoise and lime necklaces and the bracelet will not be available this season? They really pulled the outfit together and matched perfectly. I will be disappointed if that is true, but I will definitely wait for them next season.

Lastly, I noticed that when the tie dye sweater was presented, Jac had on the crescent stretch bracelet in WHITE!! We ladies don’t miss a thing! Will the bracelet be coming in white in the future?

Many thanks for all your great designs and beautiful clothing.

    Jane

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane…..I’m so happy you enjoyed the show.. You do remember correctly. The turquoise and like necklace samples arrived too late to order for this season. We could not get a good delivery out of China….so we are holding them for next spring. The ivory crescent bracelet was not sampled…..that is part of my collection. Whether it is added for next year depends on how well the new colors do.

  43. Linda Baldino

    Hi, Louis:

I love your clothes. You are a great designer.

Last year I purchased a lace jacket from QVC with a matching tank. Will you have any lace skirts to go with it? I purchased the terracotta.

    Thanks and God Bless You.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Linda…………..Unfortunately, the answer is no. I will not have any matching skirts in the lace

      1. Cathy in PA

Just thought I’d chime in here … as so many of us own the Lace Jacket in multiple colors, and HOPE to own the Black Jacket at some point … could I put in a pitch for a natural linen skirt to match? Pencil skirt, or little trumpet skirt, or a little flirt ruffly or kick pleat; nothing to fancy to distract from the jacket? Yes, I’ll pay way extra if needed, for the real linen fabric … please, oh, please please please … If linen is totally out of the picture, how about the herringbone stone like the jacket and pants? Sometimes an occasion just calls for a skirt …

Thanks for listening … Cathy in PA

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Chime right in…….I have noted all of the requests for a skirt……………..Linen is another question. They just refuse to buy linen. It’s not that the buyers don’t like it….it’s because the majority of customers don’t and the returns on linen are VERY high. I love linen and I’m always trying to find really good substitutes.

          1. Cathy in PA

I could “settle” for the herringbone weave in stone, in a skirt 🙂 And I know I’m odd lady out in loving linen … thanks for your patience.

            Cathy in PA

            1. Pamela in Anchorage

I’m ODD too – Cathy, Love, love Linen! Don’t mind at all, ironing those pieces I love in my wardrobe. I second that emotion, Dear Louis.

  44. HAPPY LADY

HI LOUIS!! Bought way too many whisper knits (24); but it might be now or never. Question about A233190- Short sleeved tunic with asymmetric hem. I was going through item numbers and this wait list item popped up. Noticed coordinates with A233191 feather weight pants. Question**what kind of neckline does this have? How short are short sleeves? Is this a straight tunic or wider at the bottom? Is this item shown in any of your sneak peaks? I did not locate. Looking forward to 4PM show today, April 3rd. Got your comment “Phoenix Rising”. Maybe 2nd time around with your career will be the best of all. This time you are really appreciated!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am surprised those pieces have been listed. I will post a sneak peek tomorrow so you know what they look like. The tunic has a V neckline, an uneven hem, but not too exaggerated and the sleeves are short, not too short, but not elbow

  45. LauraL

    Hi Louis

I have a question on A233191 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Wide Leg Pull-on Pants w/Pleat Detail. The pants are listed now on QVC website as a wait list item.

When I look at the “Click Here” measurements. The hip measurement seems odd in that for a medium the Low Hip Circ 8″ frm Waist Edge is 23.75. If this is truly the circle measurement it is very small. If I assume that it is actually a flat measurement then I would double it and it would 47.5 which seems large for a medium hip measurement so I am in a quandry as to what size to order. I am normally between small and medium in your SML size pants. Is the hip measurement larger because they pulled out the pleats when measuring? I don’t believe the fabric has any stretch so I don’t want to go to small. I have a very curvy figure waist 29.5 and hips 41.5. What do you advise?

    Thanks in advance.

Here is the size chart information.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Laura……this pant is in the new FEATHER JERSEY, so there is stretch to the fabric. It is the same fabric as last summer’s maxi dress with the large floral, print….in the black, chartreuse and violet. The measurement is always given on the flat and is half of the total circumference . Due to the pleat front, the measurement is coming out large, however the pleats lay very flat. For you, the important measurement is the waist. Go by that because there is plenty of room below. I would think you would be good with the small

      1. LauraL

        Thank you.

  46. Nancy

Louis, I think Pam in Anchorage asked about the watch. She had a 6-1/4″ wrist.

  47. Carol

Louis, is the print on the ikat top “engineered.” Will the print fall in the same places that are shown in your photos?

The Linea mania has begun! It’s always like this on Linea Eve. Looking forward to your shows!

    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol, the IKAT print is not engineered. The top would cost a fortune if each were cut from the same area. So much fabric would have to be thrown away. That said, when the print and the repeat was designed we looked at the different possibilities and they were all pretty.

      1. Carol

Thanks. That will help me decide which colors to choose. :0

  48. Bcm

Thanks. I’ll just have to wait for May for the black lace. Could you describe the border (color and pattern)? Also, do you recommend the V neck shell with the cardigan in the whisper knits? I prefer that style to the others but not sure if they go well.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm…..the second part of your question. The v-neck tank works fine with the classic cardigan. I do like the cardigan worn open.

  49. Sharon

Hello Louis, I just ordered 12 sweater sets and I have am having an adrenaline rush. The bad part is I can’t order anything else and I really wanted the new Ikat skirt and top too. I am really hopiing that the sweater colors are brighter then the pictures on QVC. I love the new necklaces you are showing on the black shirt are they coming in the future or are they vintage?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon PLEASE LOOK at my sneak peek pictures of the WK and never go by QVC’s pictures. They are awful…..the colors look dull!! …did you see the kimono picture…..I don’t know who would buy it from that picture…..on second thought….DON”T LOOK! LOL

      1. Sharon

Hey it’s to late I got them all. I trust you to give us ladies the right information but I must admit those are the worst pictures especially the tangerine color looks dark.

  50. nikki

    Hello Louis,
What a wonderful treat to find the wispher knits on qvc. Did you see the torquoise is flying out and is already waitlisted in some styles in some sizes. Congratulations and look forward to a wonderful show tomm.

  51. Nancy

    Hi Again Louis,

I just purchased 3 of the tank tops: black, lime and aqua. I’m wondering if the aqua will coordinate with the A224713 skirt. I’m guessing it’s too light. Am I correct??? Trying to secure items before it’s too late!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….the skirt came in 3 colors! The aqua and lime WK look good with the navy skirt, The nectarine and lime look good with the turquoise skirt and so does the aqua even though it’s lighter. It doesn’t have to match as long as the blue families re the same……..the coral skirt….nothing matches but there will be some Feather Jerseys that will.

      1. Nancy

Sorry I didn’t specify that I purchased the turquoise skirt. I ordered the black, lime and aqua wk tanks. So I’m thinking I’m good to go. May need to get the cardigan too. Always good to have the set. And I’m in total agreement that the blues don’t need to match – just so they don’t clash! Thanks again, Louis.

  52. Bcm

    Hi Louis,

I am looking forward to tomorrow’s show! Any chance the black lace jacket will be shown or available online? Can you describe the border? Will it be the same as the other colors? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No I will not be showing the black lace sweater tomorrow. It won’t be avail until May so I don’t want to get everyone too excited LOL.

  53. Pamela in Anchorage

    Dear Louis:

Imagine you’re quite busy with tomorrow’s Show preps – but I need to ask what the measured length of Enameled watch is? My wrist is shy of 6 1/4″ – most watches require sizing ‘down’. My second question is “What is the length of removable link?

I recall my Great Auntie wearing a Gucci watch like the one you described as your inspiration. She was a fashionista with a capital “F”! that out-lived (2) husbands (a Frenchman & an Italian) who traveled the world. I miss her.

    TIA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The smallest size the watch measures is 6 1/2 inches. This is not a watch you want tight…… it should fit loose like an ID bracelet. If you remove any of the enamel links it will be too small.

      1. Pamela in Anchorage

Small of 6.5″ should be perfect for a bracelet fit. The White with Gold is gorgeous. My Great Aunt Liz’s was White too!

Thank you. Have a great show.

  54. Kate

Happy Day!! The Whisper Knit pieces (minus the kimono) are online ready for order.

I didn’t mess around. Ordered the cardigan in three colors and the v-neck sleeveless in ALL colors.

    1. Kate

and the kimono now up as well.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

HAPPY DAY!!!! I’ve been busting their you know what to get these things on line!!!

        1. Kate

Smart move on their part to listen and act!!

It’ll pay off tomorrow when you show the new wknits with the other new items and, for once, people can place one big order.

Guessing they didn’t order deep as this is a new program?

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not very deep, but those who act quickly should be happy. This is not the time to hesitate.

  55. Rena

    Dear Louis,
I love your clothes. I am pretty new to your line and I love mixing a lot of your pieces with my denim. I am a busy mom and find your clothes work well for me. I sometimes am xx small and sometimes an x small. In the whisper knits, would you say they run true to size? Maybe it would help if I knew the model sizes. I just do not want any returns. Thank you for any response.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The models all wear xxs so I would suggest the xxs…. unless you have a really large chest. Jac who also can wear either size prefers the xs in jackets because of the shoulders but in the sweaters she gets both. Kate, Brenda, Angela all wear the xxs sweaters Chantal also wears the xxs, but she has broad shoulders and in jackets wears the xs. What are your measurements? If you are a 32 bust or less definitely the xxs.

  56. Nancy

Also what are those black and gold beads you are showing with the black georgette scarf top? They’re wonderful

  57. Nancy

Hi Louis, My husband isn’t at all fond of the little shrug which I purchased with the matching copper tank to wear with my copper phoenix pants. (Absolutely in love with that color and print). Anyway, that being said, I probably wouldn’t wear the shrug while we are traveling knowing that he will suggest I wear something else. Just not worth the hassle. That being said, I’m wondering if the new black Georgette scarf top would look good over the tank and pants. Or is it too voluminous? I don’t, as a rule, agree with all of my husbands opinions, but while traveling with him, I want him to think I look great, if you get my drift!

Can’t wait to see you tomorrow. I think they should have a weekly segment with you because you have so much to offer all of us. Really appreciate your wisdom.

    Nancy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….sorry your husband wasn’t bowled over with your shrug…..maybe if you had it on with the black boho skirt???and black beads???? I would love this black shirt over the tobacco tank and the tobacco crop pant….black accessories will really pull it together…..sandals, sunglasses etc etc.

      1. Nancy

Maybe, but I think he’s just not used to the look – he’s pretty traditional. I DO have the black boho skirt too. However, I would love the black shirt and think it would be extremely versatile when traveling. I’ll look for those black accessories too! Thank you for your reply Louis. I’m off to get some of those new whisper knits!!!

  58. Sunil P. Narayan

    Dear Mr. Dell’Olio,

Good morning! I hope you are having a lovely day. I watched two videos of your past fashion shows for Anne Klein (from the early 90’s) and was very happy listening to the philosophy expressed during your interview. Your belief on the fabric to body relationship is essential to the survival of true dressmaking. I am a Fashion Editor and Historian for MAMi and recently wrote an introduction on Madeleine Vionnet. I understand her vision very well. It is my hope that more women become leading couturiers so that female customers will feel they are represented sufficiently. I am not opposed to male dressmakers but am disenchanted with how much emphasis on imagination is promoted publicly while sensibility and everyday utility in fashion remain mute. I would love to converse with you on your philosophy. I think you would find that we have some things in common.

    Respectfully,

    Sunil Narayan

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sunil…….I am not familiar with MAMi. Could you give me a little more info. For what publications are you an editor? As you know almost all fashion magazines are run by women They create the images and decide where the emphasis of each story should be. Imagination is what they promote.

  59. enjay

Hi Louis – a quick question. I love the drawstring skirts, but I’ll want to shorten them to above-the-knee. Will it be a hassle to shorten the white, because of the lining?

I know I’m buying the black, blue and probably orange – what a perfect “summer weekend”/running-around-with-the-kids skirt!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Well that depends on nwhat you consider a hassel. Both the lining and the skirt will have to be hemmed, but they are not attached to each other so that makes it easier.

  60. Pat

    Hi Louis,

I am so looking forward to your whisper knits. Will they be available as ongoing essentials on qvc.com or will these be only available until sell out. Also do you any any plans for bright summer white whisper knit sweaters?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hopefully, if the “on line only” program is successful, this will be on going each season. We have a WK program planned for Fall 2013 also.Hopefully, it will be a huge success and it sells out quickly with few returns…..may be that’s hoping for too much. but the low returns are necessary for the programs to continue. I am starting to plan for Spring 2014…..and bright white is definitely on the drawing board.

  61. Cathy

Louis, will your new feather jersey drape pants be offered in other colors besides the berry when it is first presented? They look great!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry I didn’t answer sooner……..the pant will be in berry, olive and walnut….all pictured in the sneak peeks.

  62. Debbie

    Dear Louis,
Could you please share more information on you new Capri’s? If you are going to have more information in a sneak peak? If so that is fine, but if not, could we have information on sizing (petites?-sm, med, large or sizes?) elastic waist? They look great and will work good for summer days.. thanks for all you do for us.

  63. sian

    Happy Easter from a big fan . . .
If you have answered this elsewhere I apologize but I did not see it. I bought the beautiful curb link gold chain necklace in November 2011 and I have noticed that the gold has rubbed off at the clasp and on some of the front links. Can I send this to the manufacturer to be repaired and can you give that address? I love this necklace and have the matching bracelet, which I cannot believe is still available.
    Thank you so much.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear sian, the answer to you question is yes, they will replate it for you, My manufacturer however, is in the process of moving from one facility to another, and I wouldn’t want it to get lost in the move….so let me find out when and where you should send it.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear sian,
My manufacturer has gotten back to me and yes you can send yor piece back to them for re-plating. Send it to:
      David Partington

Enclose a brief letter about being a Linea customer and the problem you have with the gold coming off, and that you have been advised to send it back to have it re-plated. Give them your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address [optional], so they can get back to you if necessary. Let me know how it all works out………..it will take some time, but it will look like new and be worth the wait.

Happy Easter Louis! Regarding the (AMAZING) new ikat items, is the olive in the “purple” colorway the same olive as the boho and previous olive colored pants? On my laptop, the “olive” in the ikat top look more green than the previous olive. Also, do you remember the pull-on pants that you did to match the printed peasant top with bow detail (A221806)? I’m wondering how the fabric of your new feather-knit pants compares to the fabric of those pants. If they’re similar, I’m a goner 😉

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jeanie, if you are referring to the jersey pant A221815, they are similar in the weight and drape, but they are different fabrics. The FEATHER JERSEY fabric is the same fabric as the A220049, maxi dress from last summer. It is a floral print and came in Black, Chartreuse, and Violet. It’s a wonderful fabric…it has a very fine slub……light as a “FEATHER”…..and cool as a CUCUMBER!!! Even thought both styles have an elastic waist, this style is very different, This pant has flat pleats in the front, similar to the dress, and slant pockets. It is very flattering on and hides everything. I actually think it is more flattering than the other jersey pant. There will be a V-neck short sleeve tunic with an uneven. bottom………… in the same fabric and the same three colors….walnut, berry and olive. The olive in the print is not the same as all of my other olives,,,,but they all work together. These two pieces will not have the “Feather Jersey” label as they were produced before the labels were ready…..they will have the regular Linea label. We…… the QVC buyers, my manufacturer and I, love this fabric so much we have planned an entire wardrobe in this fabric to be sold ON LINE ONLY……..T- shirts, tunics, another pull-on pant, a caftan shirt, a short lined pull-on skirt, a long maxi skirt and a draped cardigan….all to be mixed and matched…..washable, packable…..a FABULOUS group………I fear your a GONER!!!

    Good morning Louis,

Happy Easter to you and Jac!

I had an unpleasant surprise this morning — I received an email from QVC cancelling my waitlist order for the new black lace jacket with trim detail A223652. I’ve had it on waitlist since early November. Are you aware of any problems with this new jacket?

    Jane

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Jane,
I’m not aware of any problems with the jacket. I will look into it tomorrow.

My waitlist order was also cancelled.

A very Happy Easter to you and Jac, as the others are saying, my black lace jacket order was also cancelled by QVC. A call to their C/S department explained that despite it being a ‘new color’, that QVC was unable to get this item in from the vendor. My last QVC e mail (dated 12-29-12) about this waitlisted item was telling me that it was set to arrive possibly in mid April.

          Regards,
          Chris

I will get to the bottom of this on Monday I haven’t been advised of any problems..

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane, I heard back from my manufacturer about the black lace reorder jacket. As far as they are concerned the black and the two reorder colors are still on tract for May. QVC has not received them so there is no quality concern. We have no idea why all you received the cancellation? My buyer isn’t in today so I have not heard back from that end.

      1. Jane

Thanks, Louis, for checking into this. We are all so looking forward to this lace jacket in black so everyone was very upset to receive the waitlist cancellation emails. Let’s all be optimistic that they will arrive for May!

        Jane
