    Louis,

Any chance they’ll do another reorder of the love knot necklace? I missed out on the shorter length of the gold. I wore the longer length with a navy striped sweater set and it gave a nautical look. I’m kicking myself for not getting the shorter length, too, to layer.

    Dear Louis,

Is the new paisley poncho lined?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

NONONONONO…..is is light as a weather. I know it gives the appearance of something that can be heavy or warm, but the FAUX DE CHINE is truly light as air and can be worn in the summer and fall. The only piece that has a very light lining is the skirt.

      1. Debbie M.

I was wondering if I needed a tank or something under it, if it was sheer.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

NO….do you have the IKat print top or the new Lotus print tank……same fabric. There is enough coverage of the print and the colors are deep enough so there is no see through…….

          1. Debbie M.

            Thank you! That is perfect!

  3. nikki

    Louis
Does the feather jersey short skirt in the olive go with the ikat print blouse in the olive. I also thought online it might go with the hemp also? what do you think?
thanks for the info. I have the hemp skirt and tank and love it with black. I recently wore it to a school event on a hot humid afternoon with no ac, and was as comfortable as I can be.
    thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki……yes….it looks great with the Ikat print…..and I love it with the HEMP…..it’s a very Safari color combination. Actually I love the olive mixed with the hemp. aqua, orchid and nectar tops in the FJ…..they are all very tropical color combinations…..just coordinate your accessories and you ill look great in any of them.

  4. Quendiva

    Hello Louis,

Please say that upcoming collections will feature the poly/cotton blend fabric used in the mitred stripe skirt and top. The fabric makes for the most gorgeous, lightweight and packable knits!

    Queendiva

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry, but when a style or fabric gets too many returns we don’t usually go back to it. This is the case with this fabric.

      1. Pecan Cookie

Good Grief! This is great for two piece dressing as well as separates. I suppose it is just a travesty of the on-line marketplace but it opens the door for something new just around the corner, yes? I am happy I have the top and skirt in indigo and expresso and am grateful you were able to bring it to us.

      2. Anonymous

Wow, am I glad I got the Indigo set when presented, and the Espresso set off waitlist later … LOVE that fabric … Ah, well, you’ll find us something new and wonderful I’m sure.

        1. Cathy in PA

Well, now, that’s odd … Anonymous is me, Cathy in PA … don’t know how that happened. Just wanted you to know.

      3. Goldie76

May I chime in on this, too? I responded so positively to my espresso outfit that I purchased the indigo as well. The other day, I picked up the yellow top for a song when it was a Lunchtime Special. There is something so distinctive about the fabric used in these pieces. That is one of the things that I love about your work. You give us such exciting experiences in texture. May I put in a plug for your pebble crepe at this point? It is singular and special. You know, Louis, I don’t care if you use a real silk worm or a poly blend if what you give me, in the final analysis, has a great feel and/or unusual appearance.

      4. designista

That’s a real shock. I bought that outfit in all three colors and love the fabric and design of the separates and I can pose a difficult fit. Sometimes I really don’t get it.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I was shocked too….both pieces received a great reception..and they seemed to have done well….there must have been a big wait list because there is hardly anything left……….some thought the fabric was cheap…..I can tell you this type of yarn dyed fabric is not cheap, so I doubt they had any knowledge of fabrics to begin with, but if you don’t like it…..you don’t like it………..but it was not cheap..

          1. Cathy in PA

No knowledge of fabrics … as that fabric was beautiful, and anything but cheap looking in hand. I know the waitlists were LONG; I was on those waitlists for the espresso for a very long time before I got lucky enough to get both pieces. Look forward to what new fabrics you find for us.

    2. Enjay

Oh no! I love this fabric. I own the navy skirt and t shirt and wear them all the time as separates – the top with a navy blazer and the skirt with a navy tank or white blazer. So nautical chic! I’m sorry to hear this and happy I got them when they were available.

  5. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

I thought you might like to hear the reaction of my 36 year old daughter to seeing me in your Printed Cardigan (A233856). She NEVER wears prints but upon seeing your beautiful sweater she smiled and said, “It looks like a lovely piece of cloisonné!” I think that describes your artistic choice of both color renditions perfectly!

Concerning future Whisper Knit colors, I would like to make two suggestions:
    1) A clear summer yellow (maybe “Sunlight”?)to pair with crisp white or black pants and skirts and maybe your upcoming jet beads.
    2) An English blue/violet (maybe “Wisteria”?) that would look cool and refreshing with white or ivory.

I would also love to see your talent for designing such beautiful prints in garments applied to a line of Linea scarves as an alternative to your fine jewelry. My preference would be for silk but if the price point is too high for QVC perhaps you could select a fabric that would drape and tie like silk.

    Thank you,

    Alice

  6. Susan

How about a purple the same color as the purple tie die dress for a whisper knit color for next spring ?

  7. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Blushing Perfection: Louis, I am really enjoying the blush cluster you brought us last month! I love the two lotus print pieces (cardi and tank) which I got in blush. They are just heavenly with the perfectly pink pearls which I think you said will be making a reappearance. And oh my goodness, that blush lotus print tank with the Blush Chanel-type jacket – to die for! 😉 It’s all wonderful with black – Linea pleated, sunburst or drop waist pleated skirts. But I really like the look of the lotus print in blush against my perfectly pink knit pencil skirt – though I haven’t examined it in the sun yet. I’m not sold on the blush with my PP boho, but I could be persuaded. Thank you for this wonderful grouping that works so well together! Delicious!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy the P Pink and Blush really are two different colors. Never tried to see if they worked?

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

I know I don’t like the Chanel jacket in blush with the PP boho. I looked at them hard one day after reading on the Q boards that they worked. But the lotus print looks interestingly possible with the PP knit skirt and sweater. I’ll reserve judgement though til I put some sunshine of them together. I also love that Chanel jacket in bamboo by the way but did not get the lotus collection in bamboo. I think the jacket in bamboo cries out for black to go with it 🙂

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

The blush lotus tank looks very nice underneath the PP crepe jacket with pearl buttons. The ‘pinks’ go together. Wearing the Chanel jacket in blush with the PP boho is a little overkill on the pink colors IMO.I prefer pairing the pink with black either on top or bottom but not both.

  8. Bobbie

Hi, Louis. You asked for color ideas for the WK collections. Personally, I would really like to have gray and some jewel tones to add to my collection, such a sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red, etc. I don’t know what the fall/winter fashion colors are for 2013; I just know these are colors that I like to wear in the winter. I have every color in the WK turtleneck sweaters, so I already have a few jewel tones…just missing a blue and green. Some ladies love pastels, so a light blue would be nice to wear with charcoal gray and the walnut brown pieces. It may sound crazy, but I remember wearing (back in the 60’s )some wonderfully soft angora sweaters with patterns, such as houndstooth and stripes. Those would be fun!

  9. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Since we’re talking spring colors for the whisper knits, would you please consider bringing us jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, earrings) in WHITE in both silver and gold metals? It’s so difficult to find quality white jewelry and I know yours would be wonderful. Thanks!

    Carol

  10. Breee

Just a comment. Sunday I wore A199787 which is the elastic waist crinkle overlay skirt (that has a coordinating top). Anyway I like the fullness of this skirt or rather the lack of fullness. I do have the boho skirts, but their fullness seems to get under the wheels of my desk chair or in my car doors. The pencil skirts are just not my style because of constant sitting at a desk and driving an SUV. But I really like this one. I also enjoy wearing the feather print ones, and the newer black pleated one along with the ivory pleated one that also comes in bamboo. These have just enough fullness and length to be stylish yet comfortable especially while sitting.

    Hi Louis,

Do you have your dates for July and August yet? Thank you.

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning Carol……….My July date is….July 30th at 2am [I know terrible hour]…………it is all new and the beginning of transition Fall…………….my Aug. date is Aug. 30th 9am and 9m [better hours………my Sept date is Sept 25….4pm………..of course from now till then it could change.

      1. Diamondscribe

Thank you for posting times early. I have in my notes that August is when a Ponte knit online group is scheduled. Is this still a “happening thing”? I am so enjoying the ponte pieces I have. They make for a comfortable day at the office.

  12. Sharon

Hello Louis, I am writing to remind you that it is the 2nd of June and your show is on the 11th and we girls are starting our strategy. So my friend it is time for you to start showing us your beautiful designs for our summer wardrobes. This is a very stressful time for some of us with decisions on what to purchase unless we can buy everything new from the shows. I laugh because I realize I have bought some of your pieces twice. I have already ordered the Aqua jacket and had to exchange for smaller size and found out the inventory is rather low for a complete presentation. I have been wearing my the dye dresses every day it’s hot and loving them, so I thank-you for no brainer dressing. So back to the subject SNEAK PEEKS NOW PLEASE!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will start next week …..it’s the end of the season so there are only a few new things that will also be good for early fall………….I still don’t understand how some women think the Feather Jersey Tie Dye dresses are HOT. Jac wore the cowl neck and it was 90 degrees and she wasn’t hot at all………..I think they must suffer from “Hot Flashes”…..LOL

      1. Kate C.

I’m in for the paisley flounce skirt and the new FJ dress-just waiting for the Sneak Peeks (patiently)!
I also have no idea how people find the Feather Jersey to be hot. It’s so light and comfortable to wear. I’ve been living in my tie-dye maxi through the recent heat wave.

  13. Patti

    Dear Louis,

Will you be having any more of the Printed Drape Front Jacket (A233854) and the coordinating Printed Tank (A233855I) in the Blush color in a size 3X. I would love to get both of these items to use as a twin set. I see that you will be returning to QVC on June 11 and am hoping that you will have both of those items at that time.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti,….that style is finished for the season. The only thing similar is the solid Feather Jersey draped front cardigan and the matching solid Feather Jersey tank or sleeveless cowl neck top, that everyone is loving.

    2. Loren

      Hi Patti,
Just saw that the Printed Drape Front Jacket in Blush in size 3X is available on the QVC website.
      Good luck.

  14. enjay

Louis I’m heading out for drinks and dinner in a black silk blazer and your gorgeous lotus print tank in blush. What a great piece – I’m so glad it was still available in my size. I love this fabric and the tank is perfect under blazers. Would you ever consider doing solid tanks -or more prints – in this fabric?

    1. Mary

      I second that.

  15. Carol

All of my feather jersey pieces have arrived, and I am over the moon. Just wanted you to know how much some of us love this fabric. I especially appreciate the back darts in the pull on skirt. That makes all the difference in the world in the fit of that skirt. These details do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. <3. If I had to choose a favorite, I would have to say the cowl neck tank as it is just exquisite, but I love, love, love everything I've collected.

    Thank you, Louis!

    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Caro….I am so happy to hear how much you like the FJ. I must have fit that cowl top four or five times before I liked it. I wanted to make sure the cowl drapes didn’t come too low on the torso, hence the seam to control the body shape. We had a “MEXITALLI” [Jac’s word for Mexican and Italian], party here at my home last night. It was very hot and humid all day, but we had some ocean breezes to make it comfortable. Jac wore the cowl neck top in the navy with the navy floral shorts and loved how comfortable and cool is was…, she loves the Feather Jersey!!!!

  16. njlady

    Louis,
Thought you should know that you can’t read or write reviews on your items on QVC. Very frustrating – maybe you should contact and tell them. People in the community blog said they already called.
People should be able to read your rave reviews.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning…………….I have been in contact with the QVC people in charge and they are not sure what happened. It seems be be with a very few vendors. I know Bob Mackie and I are involved, but not sue who else. They assured me they are working on it, but since they don’t know why, it may take some time,,,,,,,,hopefully less than more.

  17. njlady

    Hi Louis,
Lucky enough to get a backordered lotus tank in blush. What a soft yummy color. The fit is beautiful and the print gorgeous.
Would you hang or fold? Is this a wrinkle free fabric? Hope you make more tanks with prints.
Thanks again for your artistic flair

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You can definitely hang if you prefer. It’s not a knit so there is no problem.

  18. Claudia

I just received my drape front cardigan (A233859) that was ordered at midnight (order# 4235234222) then backordered with little hope of receiving it.

Hopefully QVC will start filling orders now starting with those that were placed first.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s good news………OK, so now that you have it…..how do you like it???

      1. Claudia

Love it though I probably should have ordered medium instead of large. Being between sizes it isn’t easy to decide when you have to make a quick decision.

  19. Dagna

Is it possible to speak with your manufacturer about assuring accurate measurements?
While I love your clothes, I seem to be cursed or something as I have received several items with inaccurate measurements causing me to have to return them as defective.
The latest are your faux linen pants – which I otherwise love. When I put them on, they were uncomfortable and when I measured the rise, the back rise from the top of the waistband is 13″ in the petite 8. Click here says it should be 15.125. That is a significant difference for this measurement. This is the black pair. I am still waiting for the bamboo pair. I am hoping they will be accurate.
As I said, I have experienced measurement problems on several garments in your line and would really appreciate being able to order with confidence rather than being disappointed and having to return.
Thank you in advance for taking care of this problem.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dagna, my manufacturer does not supply the measurements that are posted. QVC’s fit department gives all of the measurements that are posted……so my manufacturer would have nothing to do with that.

      1. Dagna

You replied to my concern about the faux linen pants measurements being inches off the “click here” measurements by saying your manufacturer had “nothing to do” with those measurements.

That really doesn’t address the fact that the two pair of pants in the same size had different measurements – in the rise and in the length.

Wouldn’t that be your manufacturer’s responsibility?

And if the “click here” measurements are meaningless, could you give us the actual garment measurements so we could at least be closer to what your manufacturer is supposed to be producing when we order?

I would bet this would significantly cut down on returns.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dagna……from what you have just asked me I guess I misunderstood what you wrote here. When I said it is QVCs obligation to post the accurate measurements…….those measurements are supposed to be taken from the garments delivered, since the garment measurements had been previously agreed upon by my manufacturer and QVC fit department. If QVC posts measurements that are not the same as the actual garment, I do not know where the discrepancy lies. If the black pant and the bamboo pant that you were waiting for measure the same, then I would say QVC posted the wrong measurements, however if the two pants measured differently, then the fault lies with my manufacturer…..does that make sense. What ever the case….the garment measurements posted by QVC should be the same as the garment

  20. Ellen

Hi Louis..I just left a note on the Linea QVC blog. The customer reviews for Linea items are not posted. They seem to have vanished. The reviews for other vendor items are there, but not for Linea. Can you or someone else check the QVC website and see if I have finally lost my mind! I know the reviews used to be there since I read many of them…now they are gone…poof..it’s magic, but not the good kind. First we ordered items that were available and then, magically, unavailable. What is QVC doing to Linea? HELP!!!!

  21. Quendiva

    Hello Louis,
Very happy that the WK tunic has been reordered. Missed it the first time around. I am a huge fan of all Linea knits and would love for you to consider the following WK cardigans for future seasons: an oversized, long “boyfriend” style, with pockets(?) standard length drape front with bracelet length sleeves (for my short arms) and zip front hoodie.
    Thanks for letting me dream!

    1. Debbie

Quendiva, you are a genius! I absolutely love all the ideas, especially the long boyfriend with pockets (yes, yes, yes) and a zip hood made of WK again (yes, yes, and yes). what do you think Louis?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I sampled a WK hoodie for this coming fall, but it was too expensive…$80 plus S&H……they thought it was too expensive. I even sampled one in the silk/cashmere, but it was $150…..needless to say they were passed.

        1. Carol

          🙁

        2. Debbie

Maybe they should ask us what we want not what they want! just say-in! I would have paid that, no problem.

          1. Barbara in Virginia

Um hm. Don’t understand why the Q keeps saying “No thanks!” to our money. But I am happy that the tunic will return. I got one last go-around and would love to see some colors!

            1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I would buy a whisper knit hoodie for this price.

        3. Judi

How sad, I was really looking forward to a hoodie in a great fabric.
On a cost per wear basis, it would not have been expensive!

  22. Bcm

    Hi Louis,

I cannot stop thinking about a beautiful necklace you showed on your May show. The model was Angela, and she was wearing the thyme Kimono sleeve jacket (A233848). The necklace she was wearing was goldtone, spiked, like something Cleopatra would have worn. Please tell me this is not VINTAGE but rather a piece that is coming in the fall or the holidays. It was simply exquisite. I just checked back on the video to make sure I had all the details so you knew which piece I was describing. Fingers crossed!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It was vintage AK from 1992. I’m bringing it to my Spring Jewelry meeting, but it may price out too expensive for them. That was an expensive piece then.

      1. Bcm

Let’s think positive. As we’ve said before regarding your designs, we are willing to pay more for quality. Here’s hoping you can persuade them with your Leo charm!

        1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

          Louis,
I hope you will be able to convince the buyers to get just a few higher end pieces. I love the whimsical pieces from this spring, but I also love some of your very first pieces that were a bit higher priced. It would be nice if we had a mix of both.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

There will be a few of those pieces for Fall…….the problem is they have an allotted amount of money, and if they use it all on expensive pieces there will be a lot less items for the season….it’s a balancing act.

  23. Debbie

    Hi Louis,
I was just looking at the WK cardigans. Just trying to figure out the style and color I will get the most use from. Can you tell me what colors for fall in the WK are coming? Thanks for all you do!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am not doing a classic WK cardigan for fall, and I do not know if they will be reordering this style for fall.

      1. Mac

        Hi Louis,
Does this mean there is not going to be a new color for my absolute favorite, WK Mock Neck Elbow Sleeve Sweater?
        Thank you,
        Nanc

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

That particular style has not been reordered….not quite sure why?

          1. Mac

Thank you, I’m so disappointed, it’s a great sweater.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Don’t worry…….I’ll come up with another version….there are many ways to skin the cat…..now that’s a terrible expression.

            2. Mac

Thank you Louis, You made my day.

      2. Debbie

thanks for letting us know, I really wish we were getting a brown and red in the cardigans. Would you know if there is a reorder on the Wk long sleeve tunic?
        thanks

          1. Wild Rose

I love the tunic! I’m really glad to hear it has been reordered. Can’t wait to hear what new colors you are bringing!

            1. Debbie

Great! I like Wild Rose, can’t wait to see new colors… would you like to share?

  24. Shari

ANY CHANCE THE FISH EARRINGS ARE COMING BACK IN THE PIERCED? ?

  25. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Ever returning to say “Thanks”. Yesterday to church I wore my new black sleeveless WK mockneck, my sunburst pleat black skirt and my older model Linea Milano sweater in Ivory with black trim, 3/4 sleeves and gorgeous black and pearl buttons. With it I wore 2 strands of fabulous Linea pearls with gold bead detail and since it was 50 outside in New England yesterday, topped it off with a black Dennis Basso cape. A woman stopped us at church to tell my husband and me that I looked “stunning!” OK, “stunning” is a lot better than …..well any other compliment I remember. My husband immediately and galantly said “Well, I think so too!” 🙂 Thanks Louis! Your clothes are my secret weapon in a wild world.

  26. zoe

    Dear Louis,
Will you do any re-orders of your lace jacket in pink. PLEASE make this jacket in other colors…..PLEASE

    1. Chris/Jazzmom

I agree!! Navy maybe?? or olive??

      1. Cathy Dassler

        Espresso would be lovely too!

  27. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,

A wonderful Memorial Day weekend to you! Rainy here and am wondering if any print tops will be coming that incorporate that Limoges blue in the top (a print top maybe)? I have the ponte knit pants and see that a Coldwater Creek double lace tank matches the pants (they are calling it electric blue). I would love a top of some sort (print or even a solid open cardigan) using that color in the future.

    Regards,
    Chris

  28. Diamondscribe

Louis, I received the bamboo C-style jacket and pants (both colors). Splendid! I love this fabric! I so hope that these pieces do well so that you can persuade the buyer into more in this fabric Spring 2014. I would like to put in a request for a pencil skirt in this fabric. I love your pencil skirts and I think the style would lend itself well to this fabric. Deb

    1. Goldie76

      Dear Louis,

I received my bamboo Chanel/Dell’Olio jacket yesterday, and I think it is superb! What a fabulous fabric! Count me in with Diamondscribe for a pencil skirt in the same material. However, I am going to request a below-the-knee length, which, I realize, is anathema for the Linea Ladies with great gams. However, I am going to be quick to point out that my latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar states that the “in” look for the next season will be a looong skirt length. Does this mean that you will be following the latest fashion dictate in your upcoming clothing?

Also, I received the luxurious Drape Front Jacket in bamboo and the coordinating tank. Again, I am thrilled to have such pieces in my wardrobe. Thank you for these stunning fashions.

      1. Grits

I’m with Goldie! 26″ is the best for me. Thank you!

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Me too. Never yet purchased a Linea dress either since the usual 43-ish inches is WAY too short for me in a dress. [I’m not a maxi devotee either.] Definitely like the 26/27 inch length in a skirt or longer rather than the 23 inches of the normal (and popular) pencil. I realize I must be in the wee minority 😉

  29. Jane

    Good morning, Louis,

Is the Asymmetrical suede jacket A210358 that came in purple, black and the infamous spruce green coming back? There was a posting this morning on the blogs and some inventory is showing in the spruce green (of course, none in 2x or 3x, so far). Is this good news for us or just a fluke that they found some in the warehouse. Here’s hoping!

    Jane

    1. Yvette

I just wanted to add that there are no spruce or black available as of this morning. The spruce and black apparently were seen late last night, but vanished by morning. We’ve all learned that this sort of thing often happens when new merchandise is being loaded into the system. Could QVC have found the lost spruce jackets???? (fingers crossed!)

      1. Jane

        Yvette,
I saw the spruce green several times this morning and then they vanished! A real mystery.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

This must have happened because of a sun FLARE….LOL, because those jackets have been long gone and have not been reordered due to rising costs.

        2. Seka

I managed to order the Jacket in Black – and have received a confirmation – now will wait to see if it actually ships and gets delivered. When I placed my order (after midnight) – most sizes were available in all 3 colours. Very curious!

          Seka.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Are we talking about the same jacket? I haven’t seen that biker suede jacket, with the side buckles, in black for a very long time? Curious indeed!!

            1. Seka

Yes. Item A210358. The mysteries of the ‘Q’!

            2. Cathy Dassler

I adore my purple suede biker jacket … even at 3X, I get more compliments on that jacket than any other garment I own. I dream of a Black one and a Spruce Green … sadly no 3X in the wee hours mysteries. There were so many forum threads begging for this back, even at a higher price, sigh … congratulations to those lucky ladies in the wee hours 🙂

            3. Pecan Cookie

There’s one in black in M right now. I just had to look… Curiosity will always get me!

Regarding jewelry shipment condition: I recently received the flat disk endless necklace in golden brown, the partner graduated oval bead necklace in golden brown and the crescent stretch bracelet in golden brown. Probably due to the heavier nature of the bracelet it arrived shaken out of all packaging. Out of it’s plastic bag, out of it’s black mesh bag and out of its box lying loose in the packing. The flat disk endless necklace didn’t weather the trip too well either. The tissue paper it was wrapped in was torn up and the “thread” that was stringing the flat disk endless necklace together was surprisingly stretched out. I’m still debating about keeping it. I’ve laid it out to “rest” to see if it will retract itself. So a space between beads at one point initially of almost 3/4 in of exposed stringing thread gave a poor first impression of this necklace. It’s retracted somewhat and I will decide in another day about returning it. Honestly I’m afraid if I tried to exchange it I’d end up with the same result. Either strung poorly at the manufacturer or knocked around and stretched out in the shipping process. The bracelet I’m sending back (because due to the width of the bracelet – it extends from my hand (larger) over the wrist (smaller) and onto the upper forearm (larger) and doesn’t lay right on the wrist) – but I would never trust the shippers again for a jewelry piece that had any substantial weight or bulk to it.

    1. Debbie

I also received the golden brown graduated oval bead necklace in pieces. The box was crunched in and beads were everywhere the wire broken- all inside the tissue paper. I did call customer service to advise and they replaced, but it just seems such a waste of product especially when there never seems to be enough quantity to go around. It looks very nice on and I do like it very much.

  31. Deborah Mears

    Dear Louis,

Will you be bringing back the baroque cross jewelry to QVC? I would love to buy the earrings and necklace. Is there somewhere I can buy both pieces now? Thank you for your response.

    Deborah

  32. Gail

Louis, would it help in solving this shipping delay problem to know the state the customer lives in and whether it was an on line or a phone order? I don’t know how their computer system sorts orders, but this might be a factor. I live in Western Pennsylvania and now order exclusively on line. Maybe this figures in.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know, but if I am given the info I will pass it all on.

    2. Pris

I live in NH and order exclusively on line.

    3. Claudia

Another one in western PA that orders online.

  33. designista

My orders from the last show are just keep dribbling in. I’m enthralled with the Lotus print and the simplicity. Would you consider doing that print or something similar in a multiple colorway, say 5 or 6 colors, to match your Fiesta offerings?

    1. Kristen/spagal

for those of us who love your brights I’d snap that up in a heartbeat!

  34. Chris/Jazzmom

    Good morning Louis!

Received the two cowl necked tanks and want to know what the weight is?? I am concerned about the washing of the cowl with the weight inside that fabric square. Is it a piece of heavy plastic??

I think they look fantastic in my usual size of Small.Planning to wear the navy one with navy items and using it under the embroidered sleeved kimono in navy.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…..I’m not sure but checking…..they used to be made out of lead, so they do not rust, but I’m not sure if they still are. Plastic is too light so I would be surprised if they were. We’ll find out together.

    2. Kate

Wanted to chime in here to say how much I love this top. I bought three colors (yes, will now buy the 4th) and paired with the maxi, I feel like a darned supermodel. LDO, you know what you’re doing!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hey SUPER MODEL….glad you like them. It took a lot of time and fittings to get them just right, Jac loves them too. Actually, she loves the whole FJ group.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris……just got the answer. It is a metal weight as I thought, and is the same I used at AK. It is commonly used in the manufacturing of apparel , and is washable. Just wash according to instructions.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

        Thank you Louis!

        Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend.

        Regards to Jac,
        Chris

  35. Quendiva

    Hello Louis,
In view of some necessary feedback recently concerning shipping of certain jewelry items,I wanted you to know how pleased I was upon receiving the new tortoise necklace and earrings.Beautifully packaged and presented, and the items are TDF. Thank you. I will post my five star review on QVC’s site today.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank you so much for letting me know. All of them should arrive as beautifully packaged as yours. For those of you who ordered the tortoise necklace and or earrings and were not happy about the way you received it, please describe to me how it came to you so I can better inform my manufacturer. That would be very helpful

      1. designista

All of the Linea jewelry that I have received has arived in perfect condition. The only problem has been with the watches. The tortoise jewelry is gorgeous; reviews already submitted.

      2. Jane

My two tortoise necklaces arrived in perfect condition. They were securely wrapped in lots of tissue, inside the navy mesh bag, inside closed boxes. No problems here with the tortoise necklaces.

        Jane

        1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I have never had an issue with the packaging of the jewelry. It’s only the watches that have a habit of escaping their box.

  36. DeLois

Love the tie-dye maxi dresses……. may shorten one of them to a more day length……. wish I had gotten your shrug when it was available, now I am trying to find the right cover-ups…….. for the neutral colored one, I may opt to the fabric store and make a sheer shrug in the right color ………. the orange is great with some orange and pink sandles and necklace that I have…. Love the styling and the fabric and colors…….Thanks Louis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear DeLois……I don’t know what size you are but the A232520, Whisper Knit shrug in ivory is avail from L to 3X, and the A233181, gauze shrug is avail in white from L-2X. Also, the Whisper Knit classic cardigans or the WK Kimono do match perfectly and those are what I used in the show. mIf you shorten one of the dresses……that’s not going to be an easy choice, but you can make a shrug out of the extra fabric……………and maybe a head band too!

      1. DeLois

Thanks Louis, Unfortunately my size Medium is not available……. I prefer something shorter so the cardigan is not my choice, but using the extra fabric might work ……

  37. Gail

Louis- To let you know of the problems that I have not had: since it became possible to do so, I have ordered several items on line as soon as they were posted prior to presentation and received them with no glitches; I have never had any Linea item cancelled or put on back order; the orange enameled watch arrived intact, packed well and with the stop tab in place on the stem. I love it, so it has been getting much use.
I like the navy floral sweater so much. I have the navy skirt of the same print and might wrap myself in both at some point. We had some heat in the past few days and I was glad to have the chili pepper boho, along with chili pepper crinkle shirt and white tank to wear to lunch in the city. Over the tank, I wore a tortoise patent Anne Klein belt with signature lion buckle . The crinkle fabric has another great advantage-last summer I wore the red boho and white crinkle shirt to an outdoor festival, got caught in the rain while dashing for the car. Soaking wet, I was. But, not uncomfortable due to the “unbearable lightness” of fabric. By the time I got home in half an hour, the clothes were dry. This is wash while wearing!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

HURRAY HURRAY!!!!!! A HAPPY CUSTOMER……….LOL…..these days it’s a miracle when something come in correctly!! I am very happy you are one of the lucky ones, but as a consumer myself, I would be pretty POed if things I ordered came in a less than perfect condition. Jac and I have ordered jewelry and watches for presents ourselves……so far we have been lucky, but I would not be pleased if the watches or whatever did not arrive in pristine condition. I have not only forwarded all of the remarks sent to me, but I have spoken very strongly to them…….believe me when I say……you never want me to speak strongly…..doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I can be very SERIOUS….if you know what I mean……..I digress………I truly am very happy everything arrived to you as it always should and you are pleased!

  38. Barbara C

    Hi,

I received the navy floral cardigan and the navy floral shorts from the last show and love both of them. Would you suggest wearing them together with maybe the longer, navy tank underneath? I know you showed the navy floral shirt with the shorts, but it is the same fabric as the shorts and the sweater is not. Thank you. Also love the blush jacket and coral maxi from the same visit.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara…………I definitely would, and I almost showed it that way, but I was a little fearful that “some” would NOT get it, and make some disparaging remarks and turn the ones who did like it off. It doesn’t take much to turn a positive into a negative and make someone feel insecure about their choices. I would put the outfit together very light heartedly…[I don’t think there is such a word, but you know what I mean]…….push up the sleeves, wear fun sandals or wedges….colored sunglasses if you have them………a big straw tote……..a navy or white tank is fine, but you may want to think about a fun color too….put your hair in braids….JUST KIDDING!! ………You get the idea….make it very relaxed and casual…..or it will look too serious and put together……….it should look FUN.

  39. Beano

The printed drape jacket is divine. This from someone who doesn’t like prints. How about wide legged pants in this fabric?

      1. Beano

You made me laugh. Yes, I have always wanted a wild pair of pants in a flower or black and white print and yours s just gorgeous.

  40. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

Just got home from a week of travel in the vintage trailer, and the first thing I did was … open all those bags and boxes 🙂 I must say, the black and Blush Lotus Cardigan and Tank are my very favorite items this year, and I NEVER buy any shade of “pink”. Walter and I discussed Blush versus Bamboo all the way to Virginia in the car LOL … and I took the risk on Blush … just LOVE these pieces … so versatile to mix and match with my own black linen pants, the Linea black knife pleat skirt, the new faux hopsack linen Pant and Blush faux hopsack jacket … yes, I love this jacket too. The Floral Print Shirts (in 2 colors and the third on the way) are very pretty; summery and light, and the Floral Cardigan in Coral is a surprise winner; just perfect. Every one of these pieces is going to get a workout this weekend for my nephew’s wedding shower (I’m chief cook and organizer), as well as his wedding next month … now if only I had those Pink Pearls, sigh … my angelskin coral pin and earrings will do for now.

    THANK YOU, Louis and Jac

  41. Kate C.

    Good morning, Louis-
I am wearing my FABULOUS seafoam tie dye maxi dress today, and I must ask: do you have any more maxi dresses coming this season? I will buy as many as you design!
Kate C. (who has her fingers crossed that you’ll say ‘yes’)

PS-Wore the Bamboo ‘Chanel’ jacket with the lotus tank yesterday…love. You are ruining me for any clothing but Linea!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate, I have one more dress coming in June,- but it is not a maxi. May I suggest getting the maxi Feather Jersey skirt with any of the three Feather jersey tops for different looks, A233962, A233959, A233957. You can either match the colors or mix the colors for different looks. The skirt is half lined, is super comfortable and since you already own the tie dye dress, which is the same fabric, you know how it flows. Look at my sneak peek, because the QVC pic isn’t very good.

      1. Cathy in PA

Any tiny hints about that new dress, ie sleeve/sleeveless, color ranges, fabric? Still have that late June wedding coming up … if it’s TOO SOON TO TELL, just ignore this shameless pleading LOL …

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

TWIST my arm……it’s short, not maxi, it’s a print which will be in three color combinations, and it’s in THE FEATHER JERSEY…………..and that’s all I’m sayin’

          1. Kate C.

I’ll take it! Print+Feather Jersey+dress=SOLD Can’t waith for the Sneak Peek (hint, hint).
And thanks, Louis, for your suggestion of the FJ maxi skirt and top. I’ll be adding either the petite maxi skirt or another boho to my Linea collection.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Come on now the show isn’t until June 11th…..you will just have to be patient!

            2. Kate C.

Louis, you are THE BEST! 🙂

  42. Kathy

    Hi Louis
No plastic around the turn knob on the watches. It’s a shame the way they were packaged.
    Kathy/wis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry about the situation. My manufactures are now totally aware of the situation and will look into how all jewelry is shipped.

  43. Pat

    Hi Louis,

Amazing how many of your items I have in my closet that were purchased over a year ago and still look like new. One tank top that is among my favorites was made from 96% rayon and 4% spandex. Is this a fabric that was a success for you? Any chance of getting this tank in new colors?

Thank You for all you do for us…

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Is this the tank that came in Black, Olive and Magenta? If so it did very well. I did bring it up at a meeting but so far I haven’t heard anything. This is a fabric that has done well. The A232349, dress, the bodysuit, the dance skirt, the cowl tunic in the Limoges Blue, black and red are all in this fabric. There are also printed pieces avail. in this fabric. It is a great fabric. It has gotten basically good reviews, of course there are those who say it shows their lumps and bumps…….honestly, all jerseys will do that to a degree….it depends on the style for how much the bumps show….that’s what Spanx are for…LOL. I do have many sketches for this fabric so maybe the buyers may choose a few.

      1. Carol

This is one of my favorite fabrics. I really hope the tanks come back. I wear them under the black and olive cutwork tunics as they are more comfortable for me than the poly shells. What would we do without our Spanx? Oh, I know–complain about the fabrics. LOL

        Love you, Louis.

        crdlb

      2. Pat

Yes Louis that is the one i have it in black and olive…tried for the magenta but it was sold out in my size…this tank is so comfortable…so pretty …the way you cut this tank it did not show lumps and bumps…I actually found it very slimming

Thank you looking forward to more

  44. enjay

And yup … I’m a linen junkie. Love that messy look of natural fibers!

  45. enjay

Louis, a quick note to tell you how much I love the coral flower print cardi. It’s just so pretty! I’m wearing it today with a stone colored linen pencil skirt, and look fresh and cool on a very muggy day. I’m thinking about ordering the navy, while they still have it in my size. Best floral sweater ever – cause if you’re going to do floral … do floral!

    1. Grits

Louis — and enjay! — I completely agree….BEST floral sweater ever! Received both yesterday and can’t wait to wear them. Do you like the coral with the tarragon sunburst pleated skirt?

      Thank you,
      Grits

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Don’t see why not, but maybe I’d say it for Sept- Oct…..for a more transition look….it you can make it look summery, than by all means go for it

  46. Chris/Jazzmom

Received the Chanel like jacket tonight in the blush pink and it looks wonderful with the black matching pants. I paired it with the Lotus print tank in blush and it looks very sophisticated and perfect for an upcoming event in June (GF and her husband are renewing their vows). I liked it opened on me with the top button buttoned and also the snap out shoulder pads. I snapped them out and the jacket shoulders looked ‘softer’ to me. Thanks for a gorgeous outfit perfect for many types of occasions.

    1. Karen in WA

Thanks Chris, because of your note, and others, I ordered all the pieces (on waitlist for me). I was also traveling in a trailer, like Cathy, fishing and missed the show. Somehow on the sneek peek I didn’t pick up on the fabric. I am on the waitlist for almost everything. I also have that dotted swiss blouse. I found some long pink pearls on e-bay to make due till Louis’ are available. This is just the most fun!

  47. Bobbie

    Dear Louis,
I really love the printed tank and jacket in blush. It looks so feminine and classic, tied, with the long pink pearls. Trimming the two in black was a brilliant designer touch and makes them look really expensive. I’m looking forward to getting some Linea jet black beads in the fall to layer with the pearls! Anyway, thank you again, for thinking of all the southern ladies with such light weight fabric that drapes so elegantly. A great outfit for tea with friends!

  48. Mary

Oh, and one more thing. Your new Chanel-style jacket is a home run. I just left a 5-star review for it. The fabric is exceptional – even better than the herringbone pieces from last summer. I just feel so darn pretty in it!

  49. Mary

    Dear Louis,

I know you said the Perfectly Pink pearls are coming back, and we’ll have jet beads, and I don’t want to seem ungrateful….but may I make a request to bring back the Anne Klein horse bit necklace that you’ve styled in the past (Sneak Peek #8 from December 2011)? I love that link style – it’s so interesting looking, and I could use a long gold chain. I trust your manufacturer to do it right.

And if it’s not too greedy, those long turquoise beads that you styled with your Sneak Peek #5 from April 2012? Have the buyers throw them into the mix, too, okay?

    Pretty please?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Mary………….I showed the horse bit necklace to the manufacturers a while ago and they said it would be very expensive to make again,…..something like $70-$80, but I’ll try again. The turquoise beads I will look into….no promises.

      1. Mary

Thank you for trying – is the $70-$80 wholesale or retail? I guess it will depend on what clothing you’re showing at the time. If you had an equestrian print blouse in your beautiful faux de chine, paired up with a Gucci-esque necklace, it would be hard to resist, even at a high end price.

        1. Kate

Mary, I like the way you think! This is a look I can get behind. Big fan of the new faux de chine fabric.

      2. Grits

I thought I was the only one still pining for that horse bit necklace! Thank you for pursuing that one again. — Grits

  50. Kathy

    Hi Louis
My UPS man just delivered my bundle, same story here with the watches. Ivory one loose in the shipping box, tortoise one had one twisted holding it that’s it. Just wanted to let you know. Ivory one not working.
Now for the fun of trying on.
    Kathy/Wis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy…..on the ivory watch…..did you notice if there was a tiny tiny piece of plastic surrounding the little turn knob. It has to be removed before it works. If the plastic piece isn’t there and it is not working, then there is something wrong.

  51. Deb/jazz

Louis, if you’re scratching your head over some of the comments regarding the tie dye dress, I’m here to tell you “I love it”! I already knew I was crazy about the fabric; for me, the style and fit are everything I hoped for! The seafoam arrived today (thanks Jac, I wasn’t planning on that color–lol)and the lime and nectarine aren’t far behind with the rest of my haul.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deb…..I am just happy you like it! and for the ones that don’t….they can return it, no problem. When I saw the six models come out in the different colors I was flabbergasted, I thought they each looked beautiful………….. and they all ordered one or two, You just can’t please everyone, but I am sure you are in the majority!

  52. Judy Kornbluth

    Hi Louis;
I have never written about a problem before but I feel that I should write to you personally-I have written to you about selling in Canada and you said it is not worth it–fine-your decision; then I am entitled to my decision. AS you know QVC has stopped shipping to Canada so we have had to find other ways to get your designs–and many Canadians have just stopped buying–I have not–I order–have it sent up to RESHIP-they repackage–send it to a broker in Canada-who mails in onto us–now that takes money–time and aggravation.

I have been doing that with your things and with going through the aggravation to get it truly I am beginning to wonder if it is worth it–shopping should be fun–nice–enjoyable–one buys–one pays–one gets it home–and one trys it on and hopes it looks nice–not with QVC–one has to plan what one wants–stay up to midnight–make sure one has the size right-make sure we will like the material-and now for Canadians not send back and go through all that again–BUT WAIT–we do all that–and it stays at “in Process” for days–then goes to “Backorder” for days- then is cancelled–when I ordered it they had it–so someone somewhere is lying–and now I wait—now the question I have for you—“WOULD YOU DO IT?” Would you let Jac do it? I think not—so when this mess is straightened out this week if it is–I think you are a true gentleman–and your clothes are nice–but I don’t think I can continue much longer with this— Judy Kornbluth

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…..First, let me explain why I said it was not worth it to ship to Canada. QVC Canada writes such small orders that in order to ship them, the orders have to be tagged onto the QVC USA orders so they have to be written at the exact same time which is very difficult. Then they have to be separated, re-boxed by size [a requirement], and sometimes there are 10 garments in a huge box. which drives the China factory crazy because the order is so small. Different paper work has to be done….the logistics are a nightmare, for extremely little profit to my manufacturer………..Would I go through what you are going through to get the product….probably not, but all of the things you talk about….back orders and wait lists etc are things, I as a vendor, have no control over. These are QVC’s management situations. It would be like me telling Saks or Holt’s in Canada how to run their business. Have you been in contact with the lovely woman who has arranged shipping for other women living in Canada? It won’t solve the “backorder” business, but it might make the shipping easier. I don’t blame you at all for being aggravated……it can be a very frustrating dealing with all of this. I can tell you that Jac has had the same experience as you ordering from QVC, and yes, when she wants Linea she orders it too. The samples I get have “SAMPLE” stamped all over them so most of them can not be worn or sold. The last thing I would want is to cause you grief or aggravation…..no it’s not worth it.

      1. Pris

I live in the US and have had the same problems as Judy with ordering before the item is introduced. QVC seems to put these orders elsewhere and then let’s us know days later that the item is unavailable. I have communicated with QVC to no avail. With the increased shipping prices, it is no longer convenient for me to order from QVC. I think about whether the product is really worth all the hassle and expense. It seems the loss of orders only occurs with Linea, I have asked others if they experience this with other designers, and the answer is no.

Something needs to change at QVC or the customers will be leaving in droves.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pris……I wish I had answers for you but I do not. I have forwarded all of these comments to TPTB, and that is all I can do. It is up to QVC to get this situation straightened out. I don’t get it or understand it either. If an order is placed and ACCEPTED than that quantity should be subtracted from the total and held for the first come first serve customers, but somehow that isn’t how it works at QVC……I don’t know how it does work, but obviously it isn’t working well. By the way, it does happen with other vendors too………. with all kinds of products from jewelry to beauty and hard goods too.

          1. Pris

I do want you to know that I love your fashions. This is the only time I have complained about one of your fashions. I just received your die Ted sweater and love it.

    2. Seka

      Judy,

Sorry to hear about your issues with purchasing Linea.

I too am a Canadian and was quite unhappy when QVC decided to stop shipping to Canada. I made arrangements (and consider her a friend I have never met) with a wonderful Linea Lady, Loren, who offered to help out on this Blog. Loren receives and accumulates my purchases – and sends them to me at agreed upon times. I have to-date received 3 shipments (many, many items!) from Loren (I choose to ship by UPS) – I do pay duty/taxes etc. – and have had not one problem.

I have become an expert at figuring out my sizing – and Loren does check items – if she sees something wrong she will let me know – and then I decide whether or not to have her return it. As for the shipping issues – I must be one of the luckiest Linea Ladies – I place my orders by phone usually at midnight – and then I just leave them alone – and they get shipped – sometimes it takes a little longer (the dreaded ‘In Process’) – but they do eventually get shipped. I have never had an issue.

For me, this has been a very successful arrangement – without aggravation. Loren is an incredible person. I don’t know how many Canadian Linea Ladies Loren is working with – but I do know I am not the only one.

If you would be interested to contact her please reply on this Blog – and I will then ask Loren to send her contact information.

      Regards,
      Seka.

  53. Sharon

Dear Louis, I know your having a good day because your sod is down and life is getting back to normal for you and Jac . So I would like to Thank-you for my delivery today. My UPS driver was laughing at me because I had 8 QVC bags and a box with a weed trimmer from Lowes. Now keep In mind he has to walk up a big hill to the front door because they can’t bring the truck up the asphalt driveway. Now I must tell you how much I LOVE the jackets in both colors and the pants are perfect fit for my plus size body and the jacket is a perfect length to cover most of the problem areas. This suit says class and its perfect. Now the Maxis are perfect and I’m so glad I got three colors and matching whisper knit sweaters and I’m sorry I didn’t get all of the colors. But I must say that gauge sweater is amazing fabric. It’s just drapes down the body without clinging to my body and its so slimming so now I want the olive but its on wait list along with everything from the show. So Thanks again for making these beautiful clothes and making me feel like a million bucks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon you are very welcome………..and you are so right about the SOD! Who would think grass would make me happy. It was starting to really get depressing, as the weather got better, to look at the dirt yard….Sandy was still here. Now she is gone….well almost ….a few small things have to be done and some shrubs aren’t going to make it, but we got all new Lilacs and Jac is happy, so I am happy!

  54. Kate

I love the new floral cardigan in coral with the Limoge blue drawstring skirt. Just add a white tee and off to work! I am very sad that this great skirt will not be reordered. I wear one of mine (I have all four) once a week for work or play. Was so wanting in navy.

    1. Deb/jazz

I’m with you Kate. I adore this skirt–so cute and comfortable!

  55. Kate

Of course I mean “print” not “pattern”!

If the new lotus print does well, would you consider giving us this same two-piece silhouette next year in the same pattern, different colors (I’d love navy and white, so I could wear it with white jeans) OR a different pattern?

These two pieces and the floral shorts/sweater are turning out to be my favorites from this visit!

    Louis,
I’m writing to inform you that there is still a problem with the watch packaging. I know this is not your problem to solve, but I thought you would want to know the problem persists. I ordered a 2nd enamel watch last week. It arrived in a brown QVC envelope, outside its companion manilla Linea box – and had obviously been flopping around the envelope during transport. I gave it a try, set it, and within two hours it stopped working. Today, the Tiger Eye jewelry arrived in a QVC box. It is lovely, but once again the watch is out wandering around outside its manilla Linea box. These pieces are much too lovely to have to endure the bumpy cross-country ride without any sort of padding or protection. The little black wire ties are simply not holding the watch in place in its box, nor is the lid on the manilla box staying put. I will write to QVC, but I thought you should know this continues to be an issue.

My tortoise watch arrived in this same condition as did all three of my enamel watches.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol, I forwarded your message to my jewelry people. The strange thing is the enamel watches and the tortoise, clear and ivory watches are made by different watch manufacturers.

    3. designista

My tortoise watch arrived today, out of the box with the bracelet broken off. My panther and enamel watches also arrived out of boxes, but the bracelets were intact.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have forwarded all of everyone’s comments to my jewelry manufacturer who is not the manufacturer of the watches, but they are in charge. They hadn’t been advised of the continuing problems until now, but they have assured me that going forward this will not happen again…..we’ll see.

I hope to see that wonderful A233852 faux linen fabric used in new items as well as more pant colors. I’m thinking I would love a short-sleeve, V-neck or bateau neck shift in three solid colors. Close fit, zipper, kneecap length. How great would that be?

  59. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

Because I have already reviewed your Knit Dress with Detachable Belt (A232349), which I first purchased in black, I am unable to let others know how gorgeous the berry color is on the QVC review board. My berry-flavored frock arrived yesterday, and the color is perfection. I had anticipated something pinkish, but it is not. Rather, it is like the reds that I prefer — to my eye, it has a blue/red, bordering on the first, first shade of wine look to it. All I know is that it is one of my favorite colors. To those who have hesitated to buy a duplicate or thought that the berry was somehow mediocre, I urge you to get it. Just luscious… The shade is very flattering.

    1. Coryc

I too have this color. It is a fantastic dress.

 Jairus had to choose not to fear (worry or
be anxious), and instead only believe. Of course, it is up
to you what style or colour dress you wear as trends, cultures and families differ hugely.

These women are not flighty so you can count on
    them to stick around.

    Hi Louis,
I too am a Linea fan. I love the beautiful designs, classic lines and attention to detail. I am so happy to hear thar the pebble crepe top is coming back. I hope that the navy, brown and chili pepper will return with perhaps the color additions of Iris, Olive and Ivory . Thank you Louis for your sense of style and your tremendous design talent.

    Louis,

Another new item, the Feather Jersey Button Front Shirt A233964, was just posted online. The description says Relaxed Fit, Generously Cut. Should we be sizing down?

    Thanks!
    Jane

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That is totally up to how you like your clothes to fit. This is a “caftan” shirt, meaning a very relaxed easy fit. That said if you wanted to size down one size you could, but not more IMHO. I will post pics tomorrow

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane…that is totally up to how you like your clothes to fit. Some women do not like any volume and buy everything smaller. This is a relaxed shirt and should almost have a caftan effect. It works buttoned up, loose or belted….or worn open with a FJ tank. this is not a basic shirt. It is a larger body with a drop shoulder and a slim sleeve. I know I haven’t really answered your question, because it is a difficult one. I know the way I want it to look but you have to be happy with the way it looks on you…so if you like the free and easy look get your size, if you like things less exaggerated,,size down one size.

      1. Jane

Thanks, Louis, for your reply. I guess when I was young and slim I would definitely have preferred the loose and breezy look, but now that I’m older and not so slim, I’m a bit afraid of too much fabric around me to make me look even larger. I noticed the drop shoulder in the Q pictures and I’m anxious to see your (better) pictures on how this will look.

Just FYI – Love the new faux hopsack linen pants! Very nice texture and the fit and length are super. I will have to size down on the new gauze cardigans. I got my regular size but because of the loose weave they just seemed a bit too large and overwhelming and I was afraid they would “grow” even more. I’m on waitlist for all 3 colors in a size down. The blazer in the new Aqua color is Out for Delivery today — can’t wait — such a beautiful color!

Was the cowl neck supposed to come in orchid? Or is it gone already?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karan, the cowl never came in orchid. The colors are Flamingo, Navy, Hemp and Aqua. I have reported the photos on my website.

  64. Coryc

The cowl necks are now on QVC…finally!

      1. Char

        Louis,

Will you be bringing back the pebble crepe top that was so popular last year? I LOVE that top – it is my favorite of all the great casual tops you have designed. PLease bring it back in new “summer,” colors. I don’t want navy, black or dk. brown for summer- I need light & bright colors – how about some summer prints?

Thank you for the beautiful designs.

        Char

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I do not have a confirmation , but I am pretty sure it will be returning. they usually only add one new color. What colors are you talking about?

  65. Jean

Received, loved, and 5-star reviewed the A233852 faux linen pants. Really great. Exceeded my expectations. Love the fabric, style, fit, and slighty longer length. Perfect for me. In the future, I hope to see this item in more dark colors. I don’t wear dress pants in bamboo, white, or bright fashion colors or prints.

Received, loved, and reviewed the gauze cardigan and lily print tank as well. Thank you.
