    Thank You Louis,
I love the smoke color – i was hoping it wouldn’t be too light & it isn’t – looks perfect.
Perfect addition to my white & black ones.
Thank you again – super top

Dear Louis – perhaps in haste, you missed my additional comments to the post below that is marked “Your comment is awaiting moderation”? What does this mean? TIA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela…..did I miss something? I don’t know what you are referring to????

      1. Pamela

Scroll down to my post located above Cathy’s. Is that some sort of error message?

        1. Pamela

          That’s “Cathy in PA”.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s the first time I’ve ever seen that. I have no idea what it means

            1. Chris/Jazzmom

Sometimes I get that message as well and I guess its a spam filter the website does from time to time here.
Are you ready for more snow??
              Stay safe,
              Chris

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….we are ready, but it’s getting really tiresome…..and another due Sunday night!

            3. Sherry

We’re in SW Kansas and have 6″ on the ground, supposed to snow until 1am tomorrow morning…yikes!!! That’s a bunch for us, but we sooo need the moisture…

            4. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….I’m sure the west coast would love some of your snow. We are getting another snow storm, mixed with sleet and ICE, tonight….and another on Sunday evening…….will winter ever end!

  3. M Kellogg

Louis, can you give us an idea what you will be presenting on your February show?

    Thanks so much,
    mlk

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

My show is on the 14th and I will have sneak peeks before the show.

    Louis,

I just purchased a coat you designed for Neiman Marcus. Gray, long, soft, high collar, 6 gray hidden (except for the top one) buttons in front, beautiful coat. It has a belt and a long kick pleat in back. I am wondering how old this style is? Would you say that if someone wore it in 2014 she would look out of date? I love the coat, not to mention how warm it is. Thanks so much. Pam

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Since I’ve been with QVC for 14 years…..it is at least that, but I would guess more like 16 or 17 years. It sounds timeless to me….a long belted gray coat, hidden buttons… Sounds good to me.

  5. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

I received the WK V-neck, 3/4 sleeve sweater in navy today. Your navy and the feel of the WK are beyond the beyond! The red was ordered first, but QVC mistakenly sent the mock neck to me (the two sweaters are one digit off). This is a divine top, and again I feel compelled to write that YOU ARE THE BEST – AT COLOR, AT DESIGN, YOU NAME IT. Thank you for your beautiful work.

  6. dee

    Hi Louis,
I just ordered the white and indigo jean jackets and I was wondering if the matching jean skirts were reordered? and if not, if you will be creating a new one to match? (shorter skirt please!)

    thank you, Petite Dee

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear dee, no they did not buy a new skirt this year and they did not reorder the previous one, too many returns. The only matching bottom I will have is the ankle jean. I do love the jean jacket over the new jean sleeveless dress, but I realize that isn’t for everyone. I also love the vest with the jean jacket….they all work great together.

    2. Kathy

      Shorter skirts I second that

      1. Sherry

        I agree, shorter skirts, please!!!

  7. Beryl

    Hi Louis,
I own and love the printed velvet skirt in tarragon. I’ve been wearing brown WK with it but wonder if there’s a top to match the tarragon. Thanks in advance for any advise.
    Beryl

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl….there were Taragon sweaters, but they are long gone. I think the caramel and topaz are good compliments to the skirt

  8. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
I ordered the gorgette shirt & tank in new color smoke.
Of course no colors are shown. Is it light grey or dark?
    Thanks,

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It is almost the exact same color as the Posh Knit Pewter…..and maybe a little lighter than last falls grey WK. I would call all of them medium grays.

      1. Sherry

Is it about the same as the smoke feather jersey?

  9. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

Totally unrelated to Linea, but very related to fashion and to your dear Jac … was going through my email this morning, and came across San Francisco Umbrella Company … a RED Umbrella, with big black Scottish Terriers all around! Maybe you’ve already seen, or have, but I thought how entertained you and Jac would be by this … just the most adorable thing!

    Website: http://www.sfumbrella.com

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s for the great idea Cathy….I will definitely get it for Jac for Valentines Day and have it come from the girls…..all gift ideas welcome…….it’s not easy to buy for someone who wants NOTHING!

      1. Cathy in PA

I thought you would like it, and I know Jac will LOVE it!

        Cathy

  10. rita

Louis. I received the pull on knit sli, pants in navy. Just love them. The only color left is red which I ordered. Hope they will be coming back. Would love the gray and maybe more shades.

    Hi Louis,

I still have my turq VC suede sandals from last spring. I just got the Aqua denim jacket, it’s in my cart. Was thinking about the Indigo dress under the aqua. What do you think?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I prefer the aqua with the white or matching Aqua….or the indigo with the white or yellow. That doesn’t mean the indigo wouldn’t look good with the Aqua……it’s just a matter of preference.

      1. Sheila Donohue

Hi Louis. Does thevAqoa Denim Jacket have gold or silver buttons? Thanks.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia….Good morning to you…..they all have GOLD including the new AQUA.

      2. Cela

Beautiful idea. Thank you Louis. Is the dress fitted in the waist or loosely flowing into the A line? Pockets? 😉

P.S. I’m still craving the indigo, as I can “dress” it up with any of my BF cardis this summer. Louis, I have to have 2 of everything. LOL

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s not fitted at the waist. It has a high rib cage fit and then A-s out and yes….of course it has pockets…LOL

  12. Dariann

    Dear Louis.

I just ordered your denim jacket in white A232350. Somehow I missed it last year and I am so glad that it has been reordered! My question is, will you have white denim pants to match?

I also just ordered A214117, your crinkle georgette shirt with shell in the new navy. I already own the white, black and sage and they are workhorses in my wardrobe. I can’t recommend them enough and they are a steal at the price of $47.50 for both pieces. My husband and I are leaving for Cuba this week and all 3 sets as well as other Linea fashions are coming with me.

I’ll have a mojito (or 2) for you & Jac,
    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Dariann….yes there will be an ankle jean coming OLO in March., plus the dress, plus the vest. Cuba…..sounds great. Everyone I know who’s been there has loved the trip. They are amazed at the time warp. Report back!

      1. Dariann

Great news about the ankle jean – I can hardly wait and I will report back about the trip when we return.

    Hello Louis,
I received the Limoges blue mock neck last week, such a fantastic color!
I know you don’t want to give away all the details of the denim dress this early, but can you tell us the length?

  15. Kathy

    Hi Louis
Will you be doing any other tanks in the Limoges blue.
    Thanks
    Kathy/Wis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….not in the Limoges Blue, but I will have a new tank in the Lapis which is very close.

  16. Debbie B

Hi Louis, Since the aqua jacket is available for ordering, could you show us the denim dress? Can you wear them together?
    Thanks,
    Debbie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….you can absolutely wear the sleeveless denim dress under the jacket, and if the denim jacket doesn’t sell out before the presentation on March third I plan to show it that way….All of the denim jacket colors look great with either the matching dress….i.e. AQUA over AQUA or Yellow over YELLOW or mixing it up…. Indigo over white or White over all of them. It’s a very DESIGNER LOOK!

      1. NMM

Hello! I see chatter here about a denim dress? But I cannot find one on Q or here… is there an item number? Or a picture? It’s late and I am sleepy… maybe that’s it. Hmm.. It sounds lovely! (But then again, everything you design is…)

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is no picture or number because it is not avail until April.

          1. Anonymous

Okay. Thanks for letting us know! Will watch for it. =0)

  17. TexasBarb

Thanks for the heads up, Kathy. That news made me check my waitlist orders to see if any other items with new colors were no longer waitlisted. I discovered that my Crinkle Georgette shirt (A214117)is now in process in the smoke and navy. How exciting the thought of getting some clothes for spring/summer.

  18. Kathy

Ladies…..QVC has A232350 Jean Jacket listed with all colors ready to order…..no wait list anymore
    Kathy/Wis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

WOW, that’s early….it’s not due to be presented until March. Ladies get it while you can….it’s fabulous!

  19. Jackie

    Louis,
I just had to write you. I ordered my third swing coat yesterday. While watching other QVC shows looking for something new, I look at another designer t shirt and vest for $49. And then I look at your jacket for less than $10 more. Absoluely no comparison in the value, quality, classic style. In this economy especially, I have become a careful shopper. I keep and wear your clothes for YEARS and they still look fresh and classy. Not all “designers” on QVC are true designers. There are only a handful. As a long time buyer, I say keep those new styles coming”.
    Regards,
    Jackie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jackie…..it amazes me how many people call themselves designers. It takes a lot more than putting your name on a label or having an idea, or coming up with a sketch. It takes years of study and research and hard work to claim that title. You would be surprised how may “legitimate” designers don’t know how to sketch, or fit or drape a garment. Some don’t even know the difference between fabrics. I once gave a class at Parsons School of Design, my alma mater, and I wanted the students to design a garment using the great Rudi Gernerich as an inspiration. 95% of the students never heard of him. That’s the equivalent of music students not knowing who Mozart was. I love my profession on so many levels…..the process of designing and seeing something come to life in a 3 dimensional form is exhilarating, and then hearing the joy my creations have brought to so many women is the worth all the work it takes to bring the garments and jewelry to all of you……I do appreciate you confidence………….

      1. I COMPLETELY agree with you, Louis! I once taught an introductory Interior Design course at our local college. Students were INDIGNANT that I required them to learn about major architectural styles and corresponding styles of furniture. They even went to the dean with their complaints! Forget about scale, proportion, balance, hue, value, characteristics of fibers and weaves, suitability for end use, and on and on. Many out there working as “designers” don’t know the difference between a fauteuil and a Morris chair. I am curious as to whether there is an organization for clothing design comparable to the ASID for interiors, which also has an enforced code of ethics for its members.

      2. Sheila Donohue

Who can forget Rudi Gernerich’s topless bathing suit! Like it was yesterday.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

You would think SENIOR design students would know that! I was appalled about their lack of fashion history, and I told the dean, who was Mr. Gun at the time, that these students didn’t know a thing about Fashion History.

          1. Maybe I’m just old fashioned, but those of us who have had a more classical education are all the better for it. As are our clients.

  20. Abby

I have two of your v-neck maxi dresses and I absolutely love them. I’ve been looking at the new Boucle Cardigan/scarf and am curious as to whether these would coordinate with the maxi dresses for an early spring into summer look. I have the blue dress and the green dress. Is the bright blue cardigan and the dark green cardigan even close to a match for these dresses?

    Thanks,
    Abby

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Abby….though the cardigans are very beautiful rich and saturated colors, unfortunately they are very different colors from the maxi dresses..

  21. Jackie

    Louise,
Regarding the A87434 swing coat, would you describe the new colors or perhaps post a sneak peak photo please? I have the white and pink and love them. Just wondering about the new colors.
    thanks much.
    Jackie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The Limoges blue is very similar to the Limoges blue I used last spring for the ponte jacket pant and drawstring skirt. The red is very similar to the new Whisper Knit red Boyfriend, shell, mock neck and open V-neck sweaters. However, the jacket is in a cotton blend and the fabric with the herringbone pattern are not quite as saturated and bright as the ponte or WK colors.

  22. Victoria1

    Louis,
just a note to let you know how fantastic your A237558 Walnut and Cadet Blue quilted zip vests have proven to be…I wear them with jeans and slacks, but they look particular great with yourA227577 drawstring heather taupe and heather grey wide leg pants with your Kate shirt in white and blue or just a Long sleeve white Tee. Stopped five times yesterday in the Walnut vest over the heather taupe pants ( your version of an upscale sweat pants) Was in Neiman’s two women asked if I had gotten the vest there… the double zipper is so chic. two of the inquiries were about these fab pants …with pockets and the drawstring visible because I had left vest zipper open to below bust…The women said the pants look so comfortable and draped so beautiful …must say walking past mirror totally proud of my casually chic Linea outfit. No way this did not look like a $1000 outfit!
Thanks for making us look fabulous !

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Victoria your outfit sounds totally CHIC! I wish I could have brought that vest and pant back….I was thinking of the new colors I would have liked to do it in, but alas the returns were too high….sometimes I just wonder…..what’s not to like about that vest????

      1. Pecan Cookie

I second that opinon. That vest is wonderful and so much nicer than anything else in the marketplace. I was able to get the vest in brown but not the blue so I had hoped for a new set of colors. A237558 isn’t even on the site any longer – sold out. Do it again with different pockets or something to make it a new item number. :o) I could use a winter white. So nice with winter white pants and a camel t-neck.

      2. Victoria1

That is odd, you had so many returns …I like the feminized masculine look with your shirt, vest and pants…so American chic…I would love for you to do a feminized version of a mans’ casual anorak perhaps with quilted shoulders…I love men’s clothes adapted for women . In my younger days, would check the vintage stores looking for smaller sizes in men’s army, field jackets or those olive shooting jackets with lots of pockets and padded shoulders. Then wear the jackets with white shirt and jeans and lots of silver jewelry. I also had a fab Kelly green twill jacket, snap silver buttons that was lined in navy and white striped ticking. that lining extended to collar and sleeves when fold back at cuff. It is years old and always kept it for house on Cape Cod. Which is funny because I bought it in Italy in early 90s because it looked quintessential American…you do brilliant American sportswear!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Jac did, and still shops the Army/Navy stores once in a while, and she loves real hunting and fisherman’s vests and bags with the net pockets. She used to love the original Banana Republic when it had a safari look….then it went corporate. Now, since I introduced the white cotton Kate shirt, she hardly ever walks into the store.

          1. Pamela

I, too, miss the old Banana Republic. Used to place my orders by phone listening to those wonderful jungle sounds while ‘on hold’. Same with Pier 1 – their inventory reflected true World Imports – major change.

  23. Kathy

    Hello Lewis
I would just like to say what perfect sweater A251583 is, I love the rib detail and the neckline is my favorite. I wish you would do more sweaters with this neckline! More colors please. I ordered as soon as they were available for order,
    Kathy/Wis

    1. nikki

      Me too Louis,
I love this sweater, I ordered all the colors and would love more, and looking forward to lots of coordinating pieces.
      thanks again

  24. Carol Alexander

    Hi Louis,

Noticed on the QVC UK site you still have a number of items available for purchase. We will be on Madeira Island Portugal until mid March so I am going to see if I can purchase a few of the items. Can you please advise if the sizing was the same as on the US site? It appears that a number of sizes and colours are available in many of the items sold out in the US and on sale to boot. QVCUK ships here so fingers crossed.
    calex Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….they are exactly the same as what we shipped to the US. The UK clothes were actually part of the same production.

  25. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

Today’s “ode to Linea” … Mocha Mist Pearls and Clear Faceted Beads. As many have said, the Clear Faceted Beads are like a long strand of Ice Crystals, and so lovely. I particularly like that they have no aurora borealis coating, and will mix them with my collection of antique rock crystal necklaces. I think they will look divine with summer clothing as well. The Mocha Mist pearls are my first strand of Linea pearls, and … well … EVERYONE who has a single piece of clothing in natural linen, khaki or any neutral simply MUST get this strand; the color is just right. This color also takes on a bit of the background hue of whatever it’s against, so the strand looks fantastic against shades of browns, golds and mustards, burgundy and aubergine, blues, cream, olives and spruce greens … very chameleon like and just PERFECT especially for travel. THANKS, Louis!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cathy….your first strand? When you start wearing them you are going to love the versatility. Doubled, tripled and quadrupled. They have been know to sell out quick so if there’s another color you like, don’t wait to long…….and due to many requests there are now matching pearl earrings and bracelets.

      1. Cathy in PA

Yes, somehow my first strand of the pearls … puzzling, I know. My delight with the Black Faceted Beads put me over the edge and into the “pearl pool” … and I’m afraid I’m in the deep end now LOL. I’m going for Driftwood next, as I love that visual poem in Twig and Linen you posted a few days ago, and I’d like to be able to mix and match. After that who knows! Bracelets and Earrings are a given of course. But I am especially pleased by how versatile the Mocha Mist color is. THANKS AGAIN!

  26. Carol in FL

Good morning, Louis. Love the new gray Kate shirt and the new gray WK short sleeve top that went with the TSV. I was able to pick up the coral as well, since I missed it last year. All of your clothes are so beautiful.

    I have two questions, please.
    (1) Will the v-neck short sleeve WK sweater (A233944) from last year be returning in the aqua? I would love to have it to go with the upcoming new aqua denim vest.

    (2) Besides the poet shirt, are there any more perfectly pink tops coming this year?

Thanks, Louis, for your patience in answering all of our questions. We are so blessed to have you.

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….I do not believe the Aqua was reordered in any style, but there may be some of the V-neck or scoop neck aqua sweaters left from last year. The styles have been reordered but not in the Fiesta colors. Basically it’s a one shot deal for the fashion colors and then on to new colors to coordinate with the new styles………………There will be two WK styles coming in P. Pink I think in either May or June……a tank and a short sleeve V-neck

      1. Carol in FL

Thanks, Louis for the quick reply. The short sleeve v-neck in aqua is no longer available in my size of medium. However, I do have the scoop neck and sleeveless v-neck in the aqua but was hoping to get it in the short sleeve v-neck also. I’ll continue to check QVC and ebay to see if one pops up.

I’m very happy about the new perfectly pink styles. I’ve been wanting a tank or a short sleeve v-neck WK in your pink for the last 2 or 3 years. Thank you!!!!

Looking forward to your next visit at the Q.

        Carol

  27. Judy

Hi Louis, just had to let you know I received my new V-neck whisper knits in the sunshine yellow, red, ivory and of course black. (A251583) I love them. The word that comes to mind is PERFECTION. These are perfect for year round. Now I am waiting for the denim vest. I am one happy lady! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m so glad you love that sweater as it is one of my favorites…..I’m surprised both that and the mock have had a slow start….I expected them to be almost gone by now. When the denim in yellow gets shown…both yellow sweaters will go fast so it’s a good think you have them already. I have clothes coming in all of the colors.

      1. Nancy (AKA The Owl)

Ah but don’t discount all the waitlists in A251579 – the very same colors and also whisper knit. I jumped on these immediately and have this in 3 colors. In the mock elbow sleeve being discussed I have the ivory on its way and am waiting to see if it is cool enough for me to wear in the muggy months that surely will follow this deep freeze winter. I’m thrilled with the rich red, navy and ivory in the shell and can’t wait to see what clothes will be “coming in all of the colors”. As to the yellow – I’m waiting eagerly for the butter 😉

  28. Judy

Hello Louis, I enjoyed seeing you again on PM style. I ordered my new white poet shirt for spring. (I have to have a new crisp white one every year) We have been discussing new colors for the return of the whisper knit pants if they are reordered for next fall. Is there any word yet? If not please let us know as soon as you can. We need the total look those pants give with their matching wk sweaters. PS-love the beard and the way you dress, always so neat. Thank you Louis for all of the beautiful designs you share with us!

  29. Hi, Louis! Will ask here the same thing I asked under the new Twig sneaks. Will Twig work with either the Taupe boho or the Safari Suit in Mushroom? Thanks so much!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara….I checked if the Twig worked with the Boho skirt and the safari jacket in mushroom and the answer is no on both accounts. All taupe colors are very tricky. When I compared the twig sweater next to the boho…the boho taupe had a yellow cast and the twig looked pink, and when I put it next to the Mushroom safari jacket the opposite happened. The twig had a yellow cast and the mushroom had a pink cast. Sorry no matches here.

      1. Thanks so much for checking, Louis. Yes, neutrals can be tricky. Often much trickier than colors.

  30. BCM

I enjoyed last night’s presentations on PM style. I ordered the beautiful mango scarf! What is the item number for the black pants that were worn with the black boucle cardigan? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear BCM….the item number is A329321, but they are sold out in black. You can still get them in the Heather Gray, Walnut and Wine, depending on the size you need. The Gray would look great with the black and the Mango.

      1. Sheesh

Ooops, Louis, you transposed the item number in your post to BCM above—it was A239321—the Ponte Leggings. I know you and your way with numbers—LOL!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

OH NO….did you let her know? I must be dyslexic! That would explain why I was so terrible in Math. How could I ever get an equation correct if I can’t right the numbers down correctly!? Didn’t realize it then and frankly no one was looking to see why I had so much trouble in Math and nothing else.

          1. BCM

            Louis,

I must be dyslexic too! I didn’t notice the error and have already ordered the leggings in grey and walnut. What a wacky bunch we are.:)

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

I guess you saw the numbers reversed the way I did????! A wacky bunch indeed!

  31. Carol

You convinced me that I needed black in the boucle sweater during PMS. I had already purchased the green, mango and blue, but I thought I could live without the black. Who did I think I was kidding? It’s a real beauty in the other colors, and the fit is amazing. Love at first sight. <3

  32. Qulia

    Hi Louis,

I think you mentioned that the ponte pants will be reordered, but have you heard if any of the tunic tops will be reordered? My size in the two styles I wanted (V-neck and scoop neck) are long gone. I am kicking myself for letting these slip through my fingers, but I had hoped the online only items might hang around longer. Hoping for a reorder.

    Julia

  33. Candace

    Hi Louis-
Just to update you on how you helped me get my new position. For my third and final meeting I wore the black & white tweed skirt and black wk tunic with buttons down the side and black leather & knit jacket. Black tights and Prada ankle boots. Success! I’m moving back to NY and hope I run into you at some point so I can give you a big smooch. As I said before, clothes don’t make the woman but your designs definitely contributed to my self-confidence and great style. No small matter. Love you Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Candace…..congratulations on your new position…..The outfits you pulled together sound very executive to me. First impressions are very important….but….it’s what comes out of the mouth that seals the deal!

  34. BCM

    Hi Louis,

Is the grey in the A239321 PK legging identical in color and fabric to the new slim leg PK pants A251581?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear BCM 99.9% the same……there could always be a slight variation, but for your purposes…yes….they are the same…..I try to keep things consistent so if you by a top in the gray……say the ponte V-neck tunic , the ponte hooded blazer, the new zip front ponte jacket or the Prima B top….you will have different bottoms to mix with the tops.

HELP!!!!!!!! CAN’T GET INTO QVC WEBSITE!!!!

I have tried using Google on Internet Explore and it says “This page can’t be displayed” and I tried Google Chrome and it says “Could not connect to http://www.qvc.com. I did a check thru Windows and it say my computer is set up correctly and that it must be on the QVC website side.

I called QVC and the cust. service rep said she had not heard of anyone else having problems.

Sorry to bother everyone on Louis’ website, but if I can’t get my daily fix of browsing thru the LDO line, I will go into withdrawals!!!

Anyone else here having this problem? It just started for me this morning.

  36. Toni Fisher

Louis: Went to QVC to order mock neck in yellow and red in 1X and there is no sweater. The reviews are dated 2013 – I just read your page and you state they are available. How long ago? thanks, toni

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Toni, I think you are looking at the wrong mock neck. The style number is A251584. I just checked and all colors are there in 1X.

      1. Toni Fisher

Dear Louis: Right you are, I was looking for the short sleeve mock neck without the ribbed bottom. I have been absent from the buying group for awhile, but now I’m back. I will keep up with the Ladies. I hope the FISH pendant comes back soon – my brother calls me “Fish” and it would be great to wear that silver fishy around my neck. Bless you and Jacque AND the girls. Toni

  37. CC

Louis, short sleeve cardigan??? I so need a short sleeve cardigan. Please tell us a little bit more about this item. When will it be available? How long it hre sleeve? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It will be avail in April, and I’ll give you all the info when it’s closer to being avail.

  38. Cela

Looking at the red mock neck, I went back to the website thinking it’s so pretty I’d like the cardigan. Louis do you know that almost ALL your cardigans are sold out X X X, not waitlisted, gone!

  39. Pamela

    Dear, dear Louis:

Is the A-line sleeveless dress your denim? Does it button up/zipper or snap?

    Love you Louis!

p.s. that vest is gonna be killer with the drawstring skirts from last season!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela….it’s the EXACT LIGHT WEIGHT DENIM AS LAST YEAR….and it has a plackt that goes part way gown with the GOLD SIGNATURE BUTTONS like the denim jacket….and lots more details.

      1. Pamela

Adore your Sig buttons – You continue to ‘light’ up my Life! & must say Thanks once again for this year’s RED – it’s hue is perfection.

        1. Pamela

Hope we see more Aqua too!

      2. Debbie

That sounds great! I love that material… I have to also tell you the boyfriend sweaters are so great! I got 3!!!
ps. the vest is a must!!

      3. Karen

I would like the signature buttons as earrings

  40. Pat

    Hi Louis,

I love the whisper knit colors this year in the boyfriend sweater. Will you have a matching. V-neck or u-neck tank or long sleeve without the waist whittling ?

    Thank you,

    Patti

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pat……no, not in those colors…The only other sweater avail in those colors is the V-neck with 3/4 sleeves, A251583, but it does have the ribbed bottom. The ribs really aren’t tight….they just glide over the body and really are flattering, and if you are thinking of wearing the Boyfriend cardigan over it….you should try one and see if you like it.I just posted the mock neck in those colors and I will soon post the V-neck.

      1. Pat

Hi Louis I have tried them and they are not a good look for me. But your u necks and v necks are great for me.
Will you have any new ones without the waist whittler ? If so when and what colors?

        Thank you !

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pat, all,of the v-necks that were avail last spring /summer, the tank and short sleeve will be coming back in new colors plus there is a short sleeve cardigan…where the button is placed so there is no need to wear anything under it.

  41. Dulwich

Purchased the prima b chiffon tunic in fuchsia love it with the wk fuchsia skirt. Also love this with capris. Would now like to purchase the heather gray tunic – would the wk pewter skirt go under this?? Bit scared of the heather gray PK leggings but will go by your advice. I do have wk black pencil skirt too. Just love this beautiful dress/tunic. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dulwich……aren’t you a legging gal? I tried the pewter WK skirt on my form with the PB top in the gray and they look fine together. The fact that the top of the tunic [the heather gray jersey] is about the same color as the skirt, even though it isn’t heathered, makes them work. What also works is the Heather Gray Ponte short skirt, A231138, so you have two choices. I would suggest you try the heather gray ponte legging for a switch off. They aren’t cut like sausage casings so you may be pleasantly surprised, and that would give you two ways to wear the top….one more casual, and the other a little dressier.

      1. Dulwich

Thank you very much for your very helpful reply. Have ordered the leggings and skirt – yahoo love my Linea.

  42. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

    Dear Louis,
In anticipation of your new spring collection, I have a question. After years of coloring my hair (light brown with highlights), I decided to let it go natural. It has grayed in such a way that it now is a lightly frosted, blondish color with some dark blonde/light brown low-lights. Since my current natural hair color is lighter than my previous dyed color, what changes (if any), color-wise, should I make to my wardrobe? I am finding myself drawn to cream, pink, grey, taupe, aqua, camel, and the twig color you most recently had on your blog. I find that I also am wearing softer make-up. I would appreciate any advice you can provide. I trust your taste and judgment which is always impeccable in all fashion matters.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti………..it sounds to me that you are going in the right direction. I think your instincts for color are right for you. It would help to know your skin coloring. Jac, who is very fair and has light blond hair can wear pastel make up or go with a smokey eye and a vivid red lip. There isn’t a color she really can’t wear….it’s more of a personal like or dislike……you would never catch her in orchid or orangy lips, though the Q models said it supposed to be coming…..that one will go very quickly….it’s just bad. In the summer she uses bronzing powders on her face, she does let her body tan to a certain point and then uses Jergens moisturizer with tanner, which she likes very much. I would be careful about keeping the lip too pale…it can be draining….even a stain lip gloss is better than a mate pale lip. Some of the QVC models think it’s “in” to do dark eyes and pale lips, but you really have to be very young with flawless skin to carry it off……that look can be very aging on the wrong person. I prefer a paler eye and a stronger lip…..it doesn’t have to be too strong. The blush and face powders are going to make a big difference to the lip and eye colors you wear. When I did my fashion shows and the snow was on the ground, but we were showing spring/summer, the make up artists made miracles having the girls look tan and dewy…….it’s time for you to experiment…..have fun.

      1. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

        Dear Louis,

Thanks so much for your terrific advice. I was amazed to see how much better I look with using a slightly darker lip color instead of the paler colors I had been using lately. That was a GREAT suggestion. The little more intense lip color suddenly made me look more rested and healthier (and, I think, younger) instead of looking washed out and tired.

Like Jac, I, too, am very fair. Since I have to be careful about burning in the summer, I was glad to learn about the Jergens moisturizer with a tanner. I’ll certainly look for it. The bronzer is a wonderful idea as well.

I just ordred the Whisper Knit Boyfriend Cardigan (A251578) and the coordinating Whisper Knit Tank (A251579) in the taupe. I already have the grey Ponte Knit Elastic Waist Pull-On Pants (A251581). (I like how you have put the neutrals together in the pictures on your blog.) With my coordinating pearls and some flats, I think I will have an outfit! Thanks for everything, Louis!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti………through out my career I have worked with the best make up artists in the world and let me tell you….with the right color makeup you can wear anything. I have seen many models show up at photo shoots who I didn’t even realize were models, [other than the fact they were tall and thin], and didn’t recognize them from their portfolios…..turn into swans after the make up people did their magic. Anything can be done with a little make up in the right colors. A stained lip in the summer with a little lip gloss is very pretty and youthful. It looks like you just ate some wonderful cherries.

  43. Pamela

Well done Louis – The Red BF cardigan IS universal! And your Navy is always great!

Love the ‘new’ Spring colors too!

  44. Barbara C

    Louis,

Just received word that my mango sweater and scarf have shipped. I’m sure they will be beautiful.
When you have an extra moment, could you please comment on–“every woman’s handbag wardrobe should include. . .” and fill in the blanks? I know you and Jac travel a lot and attend many events; it would be interesting to know what she considers are essential bags in her wardrobe. Thank you.

    Barbara C

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara…..you might be surprised to know that Jac carries basically TWO BAGS….a winter bad and a summer bag, and they are both the same except for color. She has two PRADA messenger nylon bags with side pockets, flaps, a zipper closure and inside compartments. They are shoulder bags. One is Black and the other is a taupe, or darkish military tan color. She is not one to change bags with her outfits…..it probably stems from her years of modeling and carrying everything in one bag for all the traveling she had to do going to Europe and back. She has many evening bags in all types and varieties of fabrics, leathers and beading which she does use for those special occasions. She does carry a small black leather Gucci shoulder bag when we go to the theater in NYC..she likes it because the GG logo is very small and very discreet….she also likes her PRADA nylon evening shoulder bag that is small and has PRADA spelled out in Black Bugle beads, again very discreet…she carries these mainly because I won’t let her lug that suitcase she calls a bag with her. She has lots of other beautiful bags….many that I have given her as presents, but push come to shove….it’s the two Prada bags she uses all the time. I guarantee if you ever bump into her on the street….that’s what she will be carrying.

      1. Barbara C

Thank you, Louis. I love Jac’s choice of classic, basic, lightweight handbags for everyday use. I also tire of changing handbags every day to coordinate with outfits; and I want handbags that will complement your beautiful clothing since I am accumulating more of it. I know that fashion is no longer “matchy” when it comes to bags and shoes; but, in my mind, carrying the wrong bag can detract from the look. I’m trying to simplify and organize my closet, and your comments will help!

  45. Wild Rose

Hi Louis, I’m wondering if you know which month the smoke boho skirt and the new short sleeve poly/span tops will be available? I’m heading out on a Mediterranean cruise in early May and would love to have these pieces in my luggage!! Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Wild Rose……the poly span T is coming in June. I’m not sure when the Boho is coming I will check for you……From now until your ship leaves harbor…..I will have many things to tempt you! If your trip is at the end of May, then you will have May goodies to choose from too! By the way….since the Boho is a reorder they do not wait anymore for the show date it is scheduled for. As soon as they are shipped and loaded into the QVC system they make them avail…..so check every now and then to see if it’s been released, but I will check to see when it will be shipped.

      1. Wild Rose

Thanks Louis. We are leaving the first week of May, so I will have until April to shop for this trip! I’m looking forward to the poly span T’s, but unfortunately they won’t come to Europe with me this time…not really an issue as I have more than enough Linea to fill my luggage! LOL I’m on wait list for the smoke Boho, so I’ll wait to hear when you think that might be arriving. Thanks again!

          1. Wild Rose

OK! Like you said..other things to find between now and May! …and these to look forward to! 🙂

  46. TexasBarb

Can you also help with a description of Limoges blue? I’ve seen this color appear with the “no color swatch” notation for a few items, one of which is now available to ship.

    Thanks

    1. Jane

TexasBarb, You can see the Limoges Blue color in the videos of item A233182 Button Front Ponte Knit Seamed Jacket and the drawstring skirt A233183. There’s also a picture of the color for item A233639 (but no video).

      1. TexasBarb

Thanks, jane. I will take a look.

        1. TexasBarb

I was looking at A87423 and A87434, which are also offered in the Limoges blue. It’s a beautiful color. Reminds me of lapis blue.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are similar, but different enough that they can’t be worn together. The Limoge has more green whereas the Lapis is more purple., and that’s only when you put them side by side….other wise they both read blue.

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

A233182 is a ponte jacket that is in Limoges Blue. It is a similar blue to the Lapis blue. It is a little greener than the Lapis but just as saturated and has the same brightness.

  47. Lonlira

    Louis,
Several of us Linea ladies have bought the waist whiddling tank and the matching bolero that is in the new color TWIG and we loved the items so much from last year that we have ordered sight unseen, so we were wondering what color TWIG actually is?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ll post the sneak peek this week end…..it’s a darker taupe.

      1. Lonlira

I was hoping it was in the Taupe family! Excited to get it.
        Thanks

  48. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

Which color strand of Linea pearls do you think works best with natural linen and the Lace Cardigans with linen and ribbon trim …. Cream or Mocha Mist? Thanks so much for your advice,

    Cathy in PA

    1. Qulia

      Cathy,

Pardon me jumping in, but I received all of the sets of the pearl earrings and compared the different colors to the black and raspberry lace/linen cardigans. The Mocha Mist is the best color with them. The cream is too white. The Mocha Mist has a nice almost champagne warmth to it. I’ve got the Mocha Mist necklace heading my way. Hope this helps.

      Julia

      1. Qulia

        The Driftwood color works, too.

        1. Cathy in PA

Louis, as Qulia guessed, I am looking for a strand for travel, to wear with any of my 3 Lace Cardigan jackets … and the plain natural linen skirts and slacks I wear with them. I suspected the new Mocha Mist might be best, and Qulia has come to the rescue with an eye witness, first hand recommendation … Thanks Louis and THANKS Qulia! Mocha Mist for me 🙂

          Cathy in PA

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry I didn’t get to your question…I’ve been crazy busy. Leave it up to one of the L Ladies to come to the rescue! Thank you Quila!

            1. Cathy in PA

No worries, Louis 🙂 And Qulia is always ready with great, solid, factual advice; MUCH appreciated! I’ve ordered my Mocha Mist pearls, and look forward to wearing with those Lace Jackets, especially after I got so much use from the Black Glass Faceted strand on our recent trip. In fact, I added the Clear Faceted strand to my order too. Thanks again to Qulia AND Louis!

              Cathy in PA

  49. Tylerpoo

Sorry if someone has asked this before, will the purple and burgundy pearls be re-ordered, also request the matching burgundy earrings/bracelet.

    Thanks

  50. Quendiva

    Hello Louis,
I am delighted with the items I received from your last visit. I love that the zip front ponte jacket is lined in the body and not the sleeves. Such a comfortable and flattering fit! The shadow jacquard jacket looks for all the world like it could only be found in the highest end NYC department store designer boutique for $500.00.Thank you for my previously requested WK boyfriend sweater with pockets. Love it even more in the ENR construction. Now that you have satisfied that request, may I please request in my fave WK: a square or fancy neck sweater, and one with a dolman sleeve. Than you in advance.

  51. Judy

    Hello Louis,

You are really a joy to watch on QVC, you are such a “gentleman”.

I am most interested in the Fish Pendant and I am afraid I may miss it when you present it again on QVC. Can you tell me when it will be available, exact date? Thank you so much.

    Judy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy I can let you know the month, but I never know when they are going to post OLO items. I only know the exact date of items being presented on air for the shows.

  52. Dolores

    Dear Louis,

Just opened my package of the white and gray Kate shirt , the elbow wknit and the new ponte pants. Total happiness ! The gray Kate shirt will be worn with

silver flats and (I hope) the silver fish pendant for my husband’s reunion. Your elves did a great job – they fit to a tee ! The ponte pants are too big but

never fear – I will send for the gray shadow jacket and some more wknits to fill the gap. I plan to be on alert for the next ponte pants ! Thank you for

    such great beauties.

    Dolores

  53. BCM

    Dear Louis,

Let me add my kudos to your latest presentation on the air. I am particularly thrilled with the shadow jacket. I must admit, I was planning to pass on this one when I saw it on your blog. However, when it was presented on air and saw the models I ordered it in the midnight blue. I own many beautiful garments thanks to your talents, but I must say this shadow jacket tops my list of favorites at the moment. (See your work is never done!) Honestly, so sophisticated and an exceptionally expensive looking fabric. I am a francophile. It is seeing Paris the next time I do. Merci beaucoup.

  54. NMM

    Hello!

Wanted to say a huge “thank you” for continuing to design for us. I’m a SAHM of two young elementary school age girls. Mostly I am doing glamorous things like coordinating the spelling bee and serving as Room Mom for the 3rd grade. Even so, I often have to make appearances with my husband for his work as a Sr. Vice President, and I need to look pulled-together… not “office-y” or formal, but ladylike. Your designs are perfect and I am nearly always complimented on my outfits when I am wearing your clothes. They are in that wonderful sweet spot – I can wear them to his work functions, church, date nights, and more and they are usually washable too. Your classic style is right up my alley. Never, EVER stop designing!!

Thank you, too, for always respecting us as customers by looking so dapper when you are on the Q. It irks me to see so many of the younger designers slouching in wearing sloppy jeans and t-shirts, then expecting us to pay through the nose for inferior quality. To me, that shows the customers disrespect. You are one of the few designers left on the Q who still carries himself as a gentleman. We do notice!

All that said, I was so happy to receive the silver Wave Earrings, and I was wondering if there will be a reorder of the necklace? (J274835) I thought I spied one on one of the models a few days ago. Dare I dream it is coming back? I would SO love to complete the set but missed it the first time around. Or did it only appear as a “vintage Louis” item? I certainly hope not!

Best wishes to you and Jac.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NNM…..first, I am so glad to be able to help you with your wardrobe needs, Second, what does SAHM mean???I’m not too savvy when it comes to these abbreviations….LOL….Third the wave necklace has not been reordered as yet, however it does qualify to be reordered because it was a quick sell out and the returns were very low…..so I will be pushing for it to come back.

      1. Pamela

        SAHM = stay at home mom. . . .

Please do your best to bring back the Wave necklace + earrings in BOTH Gold & Silver – please, please!

      2. Judy

Louis, SAHM stands for (stay at home mom)

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Ah yes….stay at home mom….if you can…that’s a great thing to be.

          1. NMM

Yes, sorry – Stay At Home Mom of 2 little girls. We have to make choices for me to be home, but it’s worth it. Your lovely, affordable clothes (that are washable!) help. Please push for that necklace/set to come back! It’s just right and I know I will wear it for a long time to come.

            Thanks again!

            NMM

  55. Beryl

    Louis,
I adore the shadow jacket. I feel it’s a real piece of art. Thank you so much for bringing so much beauty to this great fan of yours.
    Beryl

  56. Carol B

Column of Color–I wore the malachite whisper knit turtle-neck and skirt with tights of the same color and neutral shoes. I accessorized with the malachite earrings and necklace. I received several compliments, even from a young man that is 55+ yearas younger than this woman of 72. Thanks for the suggestion and beautiful clothes.

  57. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
I went with your opinion & wait listed the Prima top with my normal size. I see the black is wait listed in all black colors.
Are you trying to make more or just the returns?
I also purchased the new necklace J287999 in silver
    The gold is already waitlisted.
You have to be fast to order your things.
    Thanks again

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJ Lady…in all of the 14 years I have been with QVC only once did we remake something within the season. The factories have production schedules and they can’t squeeze anything that isn’t in the schedule so you will have to rely on returns, which I’m sure there will be for one reason or another.

      1. NJ Lady

Thank you for info. I will keep fingers crossed that I get lucky.

But I am getting the new silver necklace – so I am happy.

        If I don’t – maybe another color

Stay warm & off roads – You are supposed to get more snow than us – Yuck

  58. TexasBarb

    Ladies,
The beautiful new station necklace (J287999) posted last evening. The goldtone (pink stations, goldtone beads and white simulated pearls) is already on waitlist. The silvertone (clear stations, silvertone beads, and grey simulated pearls) is still available but my guess is not for long.

    1. debby

Where on your site can I see this necklace?Sound great!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Which necklace? All of your questions show up to me on a separate page from the photos, so I don’t always know what you are referencing.

        1. Debbie M.

Louis, They are talking about the station necklace that comes in pink and clear. The pink is on waitlist only.

          1. Debbie B

Debbie, Go to Louis’s blog page. It should show the mango cardigan. On the top left corner, you will see “older” click on that, you should see “The Prima B tunic in Black”, scroll down and you will see the necklace in pink.
            Hope this helps.

  59. Jeanie

Hi Louis, I apologize if this has already been asked, but can you tell us if you have something coming out to go with the denim aqua jacket? Does the aqua match other aqua items?

    Many thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

All the aqua WK from last spring summer and there are some left in certain styles and sizes. Also the Aqua print Pucci-esque top. Plus some new things.

      1. Jeanie

Thank you! Did they reorder this jacket in any of the original colors?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jeanie, which jacket are you referring to? A number please.

          1. LauraL

            Hi

I believe she is referring to A232350 – Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Button Detail Denim Jacket w/ Seam Detail

It is showing the Aqua as the only color.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

The denim jacket is completely old out so they aren’t showing the other colors, the aqua is the new which they have posted. I don’t understand how they do things, but all of the colors, white, indigo and yellow have all been reordered.

  60. Maia

I now have the perfect sweater sets from you and can’t get over how thrilled I am! I’m tall (5’11) so the length of the WK “boyfriend” cardigan (A-251578) is ideal for me. The matching shell (A-251579) is also ideal because I look best in a high neckline, i.e., ballet, jewel or crew. So you can see why I’m in heaven! I bought all 5 colors in each because sweaters that fit me to a “T” don’t come along that often. Even though your WK is scrumptious, your acrylic/wool cardigan (A-237552) is a flattering heavier sweater that I hope you can bring back next winter. Two colors just weren’t enough in that style (& the graphite didn’t work for me, unfortunately)!

  61. Sherry

Hey there, wanted to let you know…received some of my goodies today…YAY!!! Absolutely love the Shadow jacket in the black/grey. It is fabulous with many things, especially the Prima B tunic in black with black leggings…WOW…love it!!!

Also wanted to let you know…I received 3 of the tank/shells, all size Medium. The navy fit like a size small, the taupe fit like a med, and the red one fit like a size large. Just thought you should be aware that there may be some sizing issues on this one. Love the colors and the fit of the taupe shell is fabulous, I really like the neckline. My cardigans haven’t shipped yet…so, sometime this week? I hope.

Thanks for all the great stuff!!!

  62. Pamela

    Hi Louis!

Trust Life is treating you & Jac well.

Got a scheduled time slot for your appearance on PM Style (27th)? I’ll be preparing for an fun trip next week & don’t want to miss you in all my excitement. (I always fast-forward to the Linea segments when viewing those 3 hour recorded shows.)

Are you bringing us something ‘new’? TIA

  63. gk27

I have been thinking about the shadow jacquard jacket in the topper style and was wondering who or what your inspiration is for this particular style. It reminds me of the 50’s and 60’s coats but you have updated it and made it so much more. I’m thinking that these will also be collector’s items. This is not something you see a lot of and it is really nice. You should give us some background into your style sense and who your inspirations were or are. It’s all so interesting!

The fabric was the inspiration and almost dictates the style. Some fabrics look best in certain styles, and with this fabric and design I wanted to keep it simple and let the fabric create the shape that best suit it. I really wasn’t thinking of an era in fashion through it does remind me of Chinese rickshaw jackets.

Very interesting. I never thought of it that way. I’ve always been fascinated by the ability to have an idea, put it on paper and then make it a reality. It is a skill and talent combined. My father was a successful architect during the 60’s and 70’s. Very Welton Becket style. We lived in a round house with original Eames furniture – very hip back in the day! But it is all the same. Whether it is textiles, building materials or paint and canvas – sketches or blueprints – It’s art, an appreciation of your surroundings.

Hi Louis, Is there any chance the ivory pleated skirt will be back?I just saw a very similar skirt in Elle this month and the ivory sold out before I could get it the last time it was presented. Thank you for your time!

    Louis,

I bought the shadow jacquard jacket in black/gray and the PK jacket and pants in gray, and I am over the moon about both. Thanks so much.

Now for a request. Could you show us a picture of what the new pearl earrings look like in the clip-on version? The Q does not have any pictures up, and I am anxious to buy at least a couple of sets. Thanks again.

Dear Cheryl….I’m so glad you liked one of my favorite fabrics. Isn’t the shadow jacquard jacket unique?………..I photo the earrings as soon as I get a moment.

      1. Cheryl

Absolutely agree, Louis. It’s so unique that I haven’t put it into my closet yet. I’m hanging it on the doorknob so I can just enjoy looking at it for now until I get a chance to wear it. I hope that doesn’t sound too odd.

Doesn’t sound odd to me….you have them to enjoy them. I have the Prima B top hanging in my studio because it inspires me.

maybe it’s inspiring you to create some faux silk shantung cigarette pants?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

The fabric has no stretch so they won’t buy them.
