Great shows today! I ordered all of the knit tunics and two of the faux suede tunics and both of the animal print cardigan. I also caved on the Limoges blue mock neck and jacket – they looked great on Jane. I already have the mock neck in multiple colors and the jacket in hot pink but I couldn’t resist that gorgeous blue. Of course, I have to budget for the new colors in the kimono cardigan and tanks, oh, and the jeans and the denim vest and the linen pants…I guess you can tell I loved the sneak peeks and am studying the videos. Hope you got home safely without incident. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Louis, I hope your ride home wasn’t to difficult but I wouldn’t imagine it wasn’t any fun in this weather. I was so excited when I saw the Lapis blue in the sneak preview kimono and with the sequin skirt and that to die for necklace, Jac looked like a million bucks. I want everything Lapis and when is that necklace available and were those matching earring too. I ordered two cardigans and the faux silk outfit today but I’m really excited about all the new clothes coming for Spring and Summer. THANK-YOU !

I would never scold you!….but the blues are too different for me to work together. I totally get what you are going for and it would definitely be something you could pull off, BUT I’m afraid in this instance it would look like you got dressed in the dark.

Dear Grace Ann……the denim jeans, which is the same fabric as the denim jacket, will be avail. OLO [on line only} next month. With all OLO garments, I never know exactly when they will be posted……As far as your trip is concerned…it depend WHEN in the fall you are talking about…….earl Sept is still summer and hot so I doubt you would need a jacket like this……the light weight denim jeans jacket would be better…..late Sept. Oct, Nov are a different story.

Hi Beano…..If you were referring to the pant Kate was wearing….it’s actually a Black and white END on End weave, so from a distance I can understand why you thought they were gray. They will be avail in April/May [can’t remember], and they are a LINEN/RAYON BLEND trouser…………there is also a terrific matching jacket a la the ponte blazer that came in black. ivory, Limoges blue etc.

Found it. The sneak peek is on A235308. Yes, the sweater is fab, just like the Eileen F. type of weave, and the those pants DO look great. Thanks Beano for mentioning it since I didn’t get to see the shows yesterday. And thanks to you Louis for sneaking them in that video. Don’t they look terrific with that black sweater? I just ordered it. Although this cardi A233859 looks to be lighter weight bouclé, I have it in both black and white and love it. I have a feeling my black crinkle georgette top and tank will be busy this summer too, together and as separates. Thank you, Louis, for all these great pieces.

Dear Cathy it is a very common weave that you have seen a zillion times. It is when you have a yarn in to colors, such as black and white, and you weave then alternating one next to the other bot horizontally and vertically, sometime called a cross hatch. It’s basically a basket weave in two colors.Sorry for the confusion.

I received my Aqua Jean Jacket yesterday. Love it! I have several of the WK pieces in aqua, such a pretty color. I will say it again, untill you tell me to stop, I’d like to have some clip earrings made like those buttons. Classy Classy.

It isn’t a skirt….it’s the yellow denim jean coming next month OLO, so may be it will so up earlier. There is a yelled jean skirt from last year still avail in certain sizes.

The fabric is similar, but not the same. The weight of the fabrics more or less are the same. It’s primarily the surface textures that are different. I would say the shine is equal…of course different colors shine a little more than others, but these two colors are both fabulous.
Hi Louis, Some of your new items were posted on the QVC forum. I saw the pictures of the new earrings, will they be available in pierced and clip? The picture and description shows clip. I can’t wear clip, just too uncomfortable. You can’t have too many hoop earrings.

Did you know you can adjust clip earrings? You can open the clip and pull gently on the metal until it loosens the fit.

There is no stretch, and I do not find it over sized.

This isn’t a winter jacket where you would wear heavy sweaters. It fitscmorevlike a regular jacket, so I think your normal size should be fine. You should only order up if you want an oversized look.

Another item just posted. Looks interesting but as usual it is hard to tell much with QVC pictures. The item is listed as Anorak Jacket with zipper (A251586). There are two color choices…pale taupe and charcoal grey.
I’m sure there will be a sneak peek from Loius very soon. I know that always helps me make my decisions.
Dear TexasBarb……….it is a fabulous ANORAK and the fabric is similar to the “SHINE” fabrics I have done before……..you either love the fabric or not….I obviously LOVE it and the women that own the two or three styles I have done in a similar fabric love it too. This fabric has a slightly HAMMERED surface which I love in these two colors….it almost looks like metal.They will be on PM STYLE this coming Monday night. As Jac and I are rushing to get to PA before the storm, I will post the pics when I get back home.

Louis, I have your previous anorak in white and just love it. It’s unlined, which works well for me. Just wondering, is the new anorak unlined as well? I’m thinking that the charcoal grey should come home to me. Thanks again for the enjoyment you bring to our lives with your designs!
Oh Louis, one more anorak question. The previous anorak was very generously cut, and you said definitely don’t size up. So I ordered the smaller of the two sizes I wear in Linea tops (XXS), and it was perfect. Is the new anorak cut in a similar way? I just ordered it in XS, to allow for clothing underneath and now I’m having second thoughts.
That’s a hard call for me because, I always prefer anoraks to be generous, but I would think the sizing is similar to what you have. I will put xs on Jac and xxs on Brenda. Jac would normally take an xs anyway because she has broad shoulders and she hates a skimpy feel.

To get the best fit, I usually look at the specific garment measurements where it has the chest circ 1″ below armhole. I need that measurement to see if I need a small or med. I’m sorry I don’t have that information. However, due to the pleats coming from the neckline, the measurement your inquiring about would probably seem larger than you would expect.

With the blue/black I showed the black and navy ponte slim leg and black legging for a more casual look, but as it gets warmer I would suggest a crop or Capri pant or a cotton/span legging, which I will have both to the ankle and Capri length this spring…….with a black or white tank….it should look great….I’ll also have Black and white cotton sateen pants which will work also.

Dear Becky……I do not have Chili Pepper Pebble Crepe pants coming. I will have Black, Coffee Bean and White Pebble Crepe Cropped pants coming later in the season. I will have a pair of Chili Pepper/White end on end Linen/Rayon trousers coming in April or May that will work beautifully with the CP top. However, the Black and White pebble crepe pants will look good too.

No that’s it for the poet shirt this season. I suggested gray and AP Pink…they chose P.P….maybe gray next year. Actually they went with the gray in the KATE shirt….the classic cotton shirt.
Hi Louis, 2 morning questions today 🙂
1. In your pictures of the new faux wash silk pant you show a new color in the WK OlO WK kimono cardi from last year – called “coffee bean”. Are there any other new colors coming this year in that cardi and will the new ENR WK tank colors match them?
2. I absolutely do NOT expect you to stand around ironing samples before you post sneak peeks but I am wondering since the packaging wrinkles stand out – if you would say that the faux washed silk wrinkles easily – say when you scrunch some of the fabric up in your hand? I did not get any of the pieces in this fabrication last year as I’m ironing-phobic now 😉 I didn’t used to be but I hurt too much all over my body to stand over a hot iron these days. I thought last years cascade “jacket” was so lovely too.
The kimono and the tank will be in other new colors, but I don’t want to repeat myself so when they are due I will let you know……….as far as the wrinkling I think the women who own the pieces can answer that better. It’s 100% poly so I wouldn’t think so.
Thank you Louis. I went back and reread all the reviews on the drape front jacket – A235312 – as well as on the matching v-neck tank – A235312 – and NOBODY mentions ironing or wrinkling. They are so beautiful I think I’ll try a set for spring. I’ll be watching for your roll-out of the info on the WK OLO kimono cardi which is coming as well as the coming new tanks 🙂 I don’t want to miss out on these!
Follow-up, one of the long-time Linea Ladies – who lives in Virginia – wrote on the blog that her jacket and v-neck required steam ironings to remove the wrinkles after every wearing. In days of yore this would NEVER deter me from buying such gorgeous garments – so I’m sure it is no biggie to other Linea fans. I’ll enjoy all of my gorgeous feather-jerseys when it gets hot and admire the ladies looking gorgeous in these beautiful faux silk pieces. Oh and of course I’ll keep on waiting for my beloved WK OLO pieces in new colors. 🙂

Hello Louis, I was wondering if there is anything coming in the Lapis color? Thank-you so much for my favorite tunic tops, I do wish they would come in different fabrics other than poly but I will buy them in all three colors. Could you please tell me if this is the scratchy poly or the soft poly. My skin is so sensitive it’s annoying.
These are very soft like chiffon. The lining is georgette and I don’t think it’s scratch at all, but I don’t know how sensitive you are…..for 99.9% of the women I think it’s fine.I will have other things in Lapis later on in the season.

Dear Jeanie….I tried them all and I am happy to report I loved both colors with both tops and I also love the coco with the peacock and the midnight with the spice. I also loved both colors with the viole5t too. Also who ever has the pant in BOYSENBERRY….I loved that also mixed with ALL of the tunics. I know it’s a little unorthodox to mix these colors but we are after the EXOTIC not the common place, and they truly are beautiful colors together…..all it takes is a little guts and the right accessories….LOL

I think it is a very flattering style, it makes the shoulders look wider and waist smaller, which is always good 🙂

Hi Louis, I am so excited about the new denim ankle pants. I assume they will be in numbered sizes (hope so anyway). What will the length be and will they have a slit up the side?
They are numerically sized. The xs has a 27 inch inseam with 1 1/4 inch hem.There is no side slit.

I can see you have many veteran followers of your beautiful clothing. I’m having a problem trying to buy my first tops! I ordered A230883 in ivory small. Wasn’t sure if size was right for me because of QVC sizing charts, I’m totally confused. Oh, I never received my top Qvc said it either got lost or it wasn’t sent (the tracking # said item not found) What I would like to know is what size do you say I am in your WK tops,A231145 v neck body suit,A251583 v neck 3/4 sleeve, and the lost item. I am 5’6″ 126lbs and 36D. When I saw the sizing on screen when they were showing tops, and the click item for size are completely different. Thank you so much for your help!!!!!
Linda–I’m a bit taller, but otherwise my measurements are similar to yours. I wear an XS in WK and other knit items, and go up to a small for the woven pieces like blazers or the denim jacket (unless you like a very close fit, then go with XS). Hope this helps (and yes, the QVC sizing is all over the place, but actually Linea is pretty consistent once you figure it out!)
Dear Kate….thanks for helping Linda…..I really don’t like giving fit advise, because everyone likes things to fit differently. It’s very subjective. It’s much better if you all pitch in, as you did, because you are wearing the clothes and frankly can give a better answer.

Hi Linda, you are going to love Linea. As Kate said Linea is pretty consistent but as Louis said we all have our preference on fit. We are about the same size, I am a little taller. I am usually a small in most Linea but in all of the whisper knits I size up to a medium. I am large busted and don’t want any pulling in that area. I find the small in the whisper knit just too fitted for my taste. By the way, Whisper knits are among my favorite items. I think I own one of every color made. The are wonderful but totally addicting!
I sized up to in the new v neck 3/4 sleeve with the ribs. With a larger bust it is otherwise too form fitting.
I definitely would consider it…..good suggestion.
So did I, just one size as the click here measurements looked to be correct for the one size up that I usually wear in the smaller size. Not big busted either. Love both colors (red and yellow).

I ordered yesterday in xs but I’m having second thoughts. The sizing says 31 inches for bust, and in small it is 33inches. Should I change to the small? It rayon and know it stretches but that much?
Dear Linda…the fabric is very stretchy and the one thing you don’t want is for it to be BIG. I would stay with the xs.

Thank you Louis!! I guess it wouldn’t be such a decision if it didn’t fit, just send it back and get another size, but with qvc you have to pay shipping 2x, then purchase another size. I just want to get it right. Wish they were like Nordstrom, what a great policy they have, always free shipping, return any time! But to get your clothes I’ll gladly make that sacrifice. Yes they are all the same yellow….or reasonably close.

I had to share this with you. I wore the reef green boucle sweater and the matching scarf with the camel posh knit tank and the camel pants to the office on Thursday. I received so many compliments on how great the color looked on me. I even had a random stranger stop me and comment on the color. I know it was the total look because I would not have thought about putting it with the camel until I visited your page. So.. 1) Thank you 2) I hope that color comes back in other things

Dear Goldi….the skirt can be anywhere between 35″ and 36″ DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU PLACE THE ELASTIC BAND.It could also be worn higher or lower.
I’m looking forward to all three, Louis. (I’ll have them hemmed for me, of course).
A PLEA: Will you be providing a regular-length WK cardigan again? Last year, I was so busy catching up with things that I had missed by being a late-comer to your line that I had to pass up your spring WKs. Fortunately, a month or so ago, I was able to snag the aqua cardi and scoop neck in my size. The navy, I believe, had been long gone. Any hope?
Louis, a color question here: You mentioned in the presentation of the beautiful reordered WK top – A230883 -, with the elbow sleeves and the new GREY color, that you would be bringing out a new GREY color jacket coming out in the crepe jacket – A221808. I am wondering if the new SMOKE boho, for which many of us have been on waitlist for months – will all be harmonious with one another. I expect they won’t “match” – but I would be happy with “harmonious with”…. 🙂
Der Nancy…..I have not received my samples yet so I can answer definitively, they are all supposed to work, but until I see the production I won’t know for sure.

Back in Jan. you told me to give heather gray PK leggings a try to go with chiffon tunic in gray . II had ordered gray wk skirt already and you said to try the heather gray pk leggings for a casual look. Well i did order them – my first ever pair and they arrived today and they are just fabulous! Absolutely delighted with them. Look great with tunic – as does the skirt. I now have two great tunics – gray and fuchsia- plus great wk skirts to go with both plus The Leggings. Thank you so much for your advice and great clothes.

QVC just canceled one of my waitlist orders. It was for the luggage tan leather blazer with rib knit sleeves (A228554). Please tell me it is still being made in this color. I am just crazy about this jacket and was looking forward to adding the luggage tan to my collection of this jacket. I still have the luggage tan turtleneck on waitlist.

Dear TexasBarb……that’s QVC’s screwy system. #When an item is ordered it gets posted immediately even though it will be months before the delivery. After a certain period of time and it hasn’t come into the system, it gets automatically canceled. It is ordered and will be here for the fall season.
QVC definitely has a screwy system. Most of the time they leave my waitlisted orders, like this jacket in a new color, in the system. They sent me an email updating me on my waitlisted smoke boho skirt saying it would be available in July. Evidently they decided fall was too far out to keep my luggage tan jacket order in the system. I am relieved to hear it will still become available in the fall and I look forward to getting it.

Dear Sherry….I really can’t answer that because there isn’t any one color that is so dominate that you must buy the pearls to go with them. I would say buy the color that works best with what you already own.
Sherry–I have all (I think ) colors and find that I reach for the cream or the navy most often because one or the other seems to go with everything Linea!

Sherry, I can also add to what Kate said, and say that if your color choices run to the taupes, khaki, tan, natural linen colors AT ALL, the new Mocha Mist is VERY versatile. It seems to also take on a hint of background hues, so look wonderful against any of the olive shades, or jewel colors like blues, burgundy, greens … really, just anything. A must if you love natural linens 🙂
I’m a taupesy (it’s a word now, LOL)kind of girl, love my chinos and linen in the summer…soooo, I think the mocha mist would be best for me. THANKS everyone for your help!!!

I am planning on purchasing the walnut color in the Wide Leg Pull-on Pants w/Pleat Detail (A233191). Does that walnut color match the walnut in the current WK sweaters?
If not, I can still wear them with the taupe boyfriend sweater and coordinating shell.

I do not think they are a match….but the walnut is so neutral you can wear them with almost any other solid color…..from pink to turq to lime to red to hot pink, mint lime nectar etc etc.
The scoop neck top (aka hydrangea) is available in a new color taupe. I assume that is the background color. Can you tell us what color the flowers are and what it will match besides the cardigan. Thank you.

Hi, Louis. One of the Linea gals was shipped a Boyfriend Cardigan instead of the Navy Ponte pants she had on Waitlist—and now there is no more Waitlist for the Navy Ponte pants. Will Navy Ponte pants be reordered for next year? She wanted the Ponte Zip Front jacket, but not without the matching pants. Thanks.
It’s too soon to know if it will be reordered. It sold well so that’s good. Now it depends on the returns. Did she go on wait list? She should know that next year the new navy pant, if it’s reordered, may not be the exact exact color.
Louis, she WAS on Waitlist—but they sent a Navy WK Boyfriend Cardigan instead—so now her ORDER is “fulfilled” -even though wrongly, and there is no more Waitlist to go back on! I know, CRAZY, but the Q sometimes really goofs up—I got a Susan Graver Red Top instead of a Linea Red skirt once—and the Linea Red Skirt was then Sold Out—so I missed out. I’ve even gotten someone elses order—my name on the label but another customer’s order inside with their name on the enclosed invoice. it doesn’t happen often, but the Q does screw up!

Dear dee…..I wouldn’t recommend it. There are too many seams, stitching and bands on the jacket for it to shrink uniformaly.

Ann, I just hopped from the Home to the Ask Louis page to see if Louis was surprising us this spring/summer with a navy skirt in a soft, flowing material (or another that he deems suitable for the crinkle shirt in navy). I’d totally forgotten the one you mentioned. Fingers crossed something is coming down the pike that tonally or perfectly connects with the navy crinkle shirt.
The plan was it would match the boho in navy. They are the same fabric and the mill was given the same color, but they did not come in the same. That’s what happens when you dye a fabric at two different times.
Louis, does that mean that the 4-tier boho in navy wlll not work. Are the crinkle shirt and skirt tonally incompatible? “Shortie me” was thinking of buying my first boho and cutting off a tier. (I think you once said that that will work. Did you?) Thanks so much for answering our questions.

Hi, Louis. I just received the Aqua Denim Jacket and it is KILLER! I don’t know why, but I was expecting a paler Aqua—this is really a vibrant Turquoise. I love it and would have loved any shade of Aqua/Turquoise. It looks like the best Sleeping Beauty or Persian Turquoises. Will the dress or the pants come in this color? I’ve forgotten. I know the vest will.

Yes Shelia…they are all coming in the same Aqua. Don’t you have any of the Aqua Whisper Knits from last spring? They are the same color as the denim…..If not it’s not too late to get one or two. I’m sure when other LL receive the Aqua denims they are going to pick up a WK in the same color, and since I’m not repeating that color I expect any that are left will go.
Boo hoo, Louis, no, I only got the Hot Pink WKs from last Spring/Summer and not the Aqua—I of course immediately ran to look for some when the jacket arrived and there are no Mediums left in Aqua! Bummer!
Sorry about that….but I will tell you the matching vest and or dress looks outrageous under the jacket.

Dear Shelia….sorry for the delay………..WHITE…………..BLACK and a sort of SKY BLUE with a little gray in it,[don’t remember the color name]….there will be separates to match in the same fabric as the asymmetrical hem crushed georgette top as last spring that’s being reordered.

I am so enjoying your whisper knits. I got several this fall in black and walnut but QVC sent me the straight skirt 3 times in walnut instead of black. Did I understand you to say you would be having the black one again in the spring in a slightly shorter length? If so do you know when? I want to order early because I wear XXS which seems to sell out so quickly. I thought for the fall or winter I would love to see you bring the mid calf riding skirt back in the whisper knit.

Dear Pepper…..I don’t know why they would be shipping you Walnut instead of black since the packages are coded….unless the walnut is in the black package. The second grouping of Whisper Knits, which the black skirt is part of, is due in April. Since it is an OLO group I never know exactly when they will be avail.
