    Hi Louis.
I noticed your comment about metallic shoes -which look great-and was wondering what your thoughts are on white sandals. I think I made a fashion faux pas when I bought a pair and I noticed your models looked very chic wearing metallic.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear gk…..white sandals can be tricky………they can look very grandma and not in a good way….that said I have seen and done many white sandals for Anne Klein, but I always either kept them simple with narrow straps or one single band or an X band for example….or else mix with leather with some sort of embellishment…..stones or metal trims. It really depends on the style and what you wear them with. what you wear them with

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

gk…..Jac has metallic shoes in many colors and textures and they always work. She has some from Anne Klein that were brushed snake skin and then washed with metallic that are really gorgeous……very subtle.

    Hi
The pebble crepe crop pants – will they be narrow?
Really hope you make some legging in grey to match the assymetrical top a233187
    I love the tonal look
    Thanks for all you do

  3. Cheryl

    Dear Louis,

I received my black/chili pepper ikat shirt/jacket yesterday and could not believe the perfection of the fit and the beauty of the fabric. I raced to the computer to give it a 5-star review. Please consider making this top in other colors, both print and solid. It is a jewel, especially for those of us too short for so many of your beautiful tunics. I will probably go back for the other color even though I don’t usually wear browns. Thanks so much for making such beautiful things for all of us, no matter their height or size.

    Cheryl

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cheryl, you’re the first who has reported back on the Ikat prints, and I’m so happy you like the print and the fabric. The brown really is a pretty color especially worn with the Latte Whisper Knits…..enjoy

  4. Chris/Jazzmom

Received the dark tan jacket and pants yesterday and they are wonderful!! The dark tan looks nice with the coffee bean and latte striped S/S shirt below the jacket. I also like the black/khaki embroidered tunic with the pants as well. Thanks for a great looking suit that will work also in the early fall here.

  5. Rebecca

    Dear Louis,

I “discovered” your line about 18 months ago, and now have many, many Linea pieces. It’s the main component of my professional wardrobe. I must tell you I just received the tee shirt dress – oh my! It’s PERFECT! Perfect fabric and weight, perfect vee neck, perfect sleeves, perfect pockets, perfect seaming…shall I go on?! My all-time favorite item is your peplum ponte blazer (I have 4/6 colors) and this dress will be a close second. PLEASE make this in more colors…it’s fantastic! Thank you for the lovely clothes you design for us.

  6. Laurie

A friend of mine has one of your stunning necklaces from QVC – J284043 Faceted Bead Necklace. I went to purchase this in gray but it is sold out. Will you be bringing more of these back??

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Laurie….they are being reordered, but it takes so long I don’t know when they will be here. Definitely a few months.

      1. Laurie

Oh I can wait!! I will keep checking. I appreciate your reply. Many thanks!!!!!!

  7. Judy

I just saw the new feather jersey dress and love the style and the fabric. Please can we expect more casual (tops and pants) in my favorite fabric? In the hot humid nothing feels better on than your lovely feather jersey!

  8. Sherry

I haven’t received anything as of yet, either…some to be delivered tomorrow…can hardly wait. Will the Dk Tan and Coffee Bean continue into Fall?…or does the Fall Collection start with new color combinations? Just curious…

  9. Dodies

hi Louis:once again, thanks for your fabulous pieces…haven’t gotten anyithing in the mail yet, but I KNOW they’ll be fabulous…a question…often, on your sneak peeks and the shows, you use that wonderful long clear necklace that is shaped rather like arrowheads…you used it with the white tops today. Will we ever see that or is it, as I fear, part of your vintage collection? It is smashing. I have two of the clear long beads that you offered earlier, but would loooooove to have this one…..! By the way, I have many times tried to figure out who Jac puts me in mind of, and I finally figured it out….she looks like Carolyn Bessette Kennedy would have looked if she had lived longer. Both have the tall, cool, impecable look so many of us strive for! She too wore simple, clean, classic pieces, which you design so beautifully. Thanks for making them available to us.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dodies….the necklace is part of my collection. I have tried to have them duplicated but the quantities required to make a new lucite bead is still beyond our requirement. I will pass the compliment on to Jac.

      1. Goldie76

Omigosh! Dodies got the right comparison. I flailed around, trying to find the person Jac’s looks suggest, and I could never zero in on the person. It IS Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. I had settled on a vague likeness to Cate Blanchett, but I knew I wasn’t quite right. Dodies got it!

        Now my mind can rest.

  10. Kate

Body suits!! Fit like a dream (because I was honest and ordered the correct size), don’t ride up, no VPL. Please give this to us in Long Sleeves sometime soon!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate, glad you like the fit and the quality. I can tell you there is no garment like this in the market with a double fabric body. I really had to push to have this on the line, and if it doesn’t sell well, I doubt they will want another.

      1. Sherry

I have never worn a bodysuit…I may have to try this one. The White is sold out in several sizes now. I think some ladies may wait for reviews before jumping in.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you never tried one….and would like to…I’d suggest black.

  11. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Your new tile print skirt is available for ordering. Do you have any idea when the tile print top can be ordered? It would make sense if both could be ordered at the same time.

    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t….I don’t know why they don’t post both they are both there…I’ll ask my buyer.

  12. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

While you don’t mention it in the sneak peek description, you WOULD put the asymetric open front cardigan – A255142 – with the asymetric skirt – A255139, right? Assuming you designed the pieces as a set – or not? Since much of what you suggest pairing with it is pencil or pant – is it too voluminous to wear together in plus sizes as a set? (The highest heel I can manage is 2 in).

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….that really depends on the wearer….for some it will be too much, for other they can carry these kind of pieces because they are semi sheer and not heavy looking. I would not recommend the cardigan and the skirt to be worn together for someone short….as separates….yes

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thanks Louis. I’m 5’7″. I’m wanting to put cardi and skirt together with the new matching tank in white which I’m thinking will look pretty smashing with other toppers on its’ own as well.

By the way, yesterday I gave a presentation to my church women’s group and wore the windchime necklace. I was struck by all the comments I received afterward about the beautiful shine of that piece winking out from underneath the mandarin collared jacket I was wearing. As always, thanks for that.

  13. Pamela

Dear Louis: When you have time could you please verify the provided QVC info on A254441 Ikat pull on skirt? No side zipper? A-line vs. straight pencil?

Also, would the Camel Posh Cardi + tank play well with the Brown combo? Bet the new sleeveless woven shirt in Coffee Bean will work or Walnut for the matter? or the Crinkle Georgette in Espresso?

    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I looked at my sample…..there is NO ZIPPER. it is definitely a pull-on, and it definitely has an A-line shape. The coffee bean sleeveless shirt was done to work with the skirt so they are perfect together. The camel Posh Knit and the Hemp Feather Jersey are both slightly more pink than the Latte….They are not a match but I think you can wear them together. The lighting will play a part as some lights make things pinker and some lighting makes things yellower.

  14. Kate C.

Wow, thank you for the tile print sneak peeks.
What is the length of the tile print top?
    Much appreciated!
    Kate C.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….it is approx. 25 inches for the xs. It is a little longer than the other prints that were done on the same fabric in the V-neck 3/4 sleeve style.

      1. Kate C.

For me, that is PERFECT! Thanks 🙂

  15. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Will there be other items in the new “sky blue” color to match the new asymmetrical skirt? Thank you. As usual, I want one of everything. My clothes closet is about 95% Linea now. Thank you!

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol…..the white T shirt show with the magenta print skirt, in the poly jersey, will also come in the sky blue, along with a double layer shell in the same fabric as the skirt and asymmetric hem cardigan.

  16. Diamondscribe

Louis, I’m so excited about the cotton jacket and ankle/crop pants on their way to me. I love the upcoming marigold print V-neck top. June 5 is so close and I’m trying to pace my purchases. I’d like to ask a question about something coming up, yet I know designers hate to hear questions about future collections when they’ve just debuted a current one. I was a jewelry designer for about 10 years and I remembered when the stores would ask about the future just days after they saw the current. Now that I’m the customer, I understand why, LOL. It’s a matter of how much to keep tucked aside for something later down the road.

So, I’m going to be bold and ask if the A256444 ponte knit pants will be in June, or later? Whenever they come up, I know I will want every color…and need to know if I need to reserve some $ for those now if they are going to be available soon.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I totally understand. I know for sure they aren’t here for June…..if memory serves…..Aug. rings a bell.

  17. Sherry

So is June the last of the “Summer” stuff with July starting the transition to Fall? I think this year’s collections are the best to date…JMHO…I’m with Chris/Jazzmom…I’m waving the white flag and calling uncle…LOL. NO more, NO more…when are the next sneak peaks…ROFL…

We love you guys…YOU are the best…to take the time it takes for this blog and all of our endless and repetitive questions…many thanks.

  18. Chrystene

    Hi Louis –

Love your new spring-summer designs. Can you tell us the colors for the new pebble crepe crop pants?

  19. Chrystene

    Hi Louis –

I love all your new spring-summer items. Can you tell us the colors the pebble crepe crop pant will be available in? Can’t wait for your next shows.

  20. Laurie

    Hi Louis!

A friend of mine has one of your stunning necklaces from QVC – J284043 Faceted Bead Necklace. I went to purchase this in gray but it is sold out. Will you be bringing more of these back?? I sure hope so. This necklace has only 5 star reviews and based on my friend’s necklace, I can see why. Please, please, please bring them back! 🙂

  21. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Would you please describe the fabric of the new tile print skirt? Have you used this fabric before? It looks to be a beautiful skirt. Thank you.

    Carol

  22. designista

Good Morning! Is there any society or licensing in the fashion industry that regulates a person from calling themselves a fashion designer?
I have become quite annoyed of late by people putting their name on a label inferring that they are a fashion designer, when in reality they don’t have a clue or the training, just some level of questionable taste. You of course are a true fashion designer in every sense of the word. In interior design we have the ASID, and professional membership is attained through testing, much like architects. We also have state licensure, again through testing, that differentiates us and our capabilities from decorators. Just wondering……
I’m loving the tile print, it seems to have a very batik quality on the monitor anyway.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No….anyone can call themselves a designer….it’s not like a doctor where you are licensed. There are so many so called designers who make tons of money, like Jessica Simpson [SP], who certainly isn’t a designer, but as long as people buy these labels you will see more and more “brand names” from people who haven’t a clue. These so called designers are backed by BIG companies who have huge “ghost” design staffs who design the products for them.

      1. designista

Hugely disappointing……… but it explains a lot.

        1. ASID also has a Code of Ethics that is actually adhered to! Any thought of having a similar society for clothing designers?

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

I doubt it and who’s to judge. Look at Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. They were child stars and have become legitimate designers. Their company, “The Row”, does some beautiful things. So it would be very hard to control who is legitimate….plus it’s huge money. Many people relate to these celebs. Khols is full of them.

            1. Chris/Jazzmom

I agree, designers should have some sort of schooling (Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree) from an approved fashion design school as a requirement to have that title after your name.
If you do not have the BA or MA then the person should be called a fashion stylist or something equivalent. Designer implies actually creating a fashion item (design, fabric choice, fine tuning the product etc.) and not just picking and choosing what is put in front of the person (created by someone else).

  23. Debra

    Dear Louis,

The asymmetrical skirts are up for ordering on Q. Very excited to see more of your maxi skirts. Just a question though, the sky blue color looks similar to your turquoise but I know that monitor photos can be deceiving.
Is Sky Blue the polyester version of the cotton turquoise? or is it a different or lighter shade of blue?
Naturally the black is on order but wondering about the 2nd color. Would this be flattering on a 5’6″ 1x figure? I know there are different opinions about too much fabric with cones and pleats, but this seems cuts differently. Your advice and reply would be most helpful.

    Thanks so much in advance.

    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra……..This is definitely not or near a turquoise color. It’s a true sky blue which is grayed just a little to keep it sophisticated. Our plus fitting model is a 1X and approx your height. We only fit the black sample on her and she loved it.. All of the sweep is at the bottom and there is very little shirring at the top. There are no pleats in this shirt. I can’t say how you will like the skirt on you, and it’s not about your size. I would suggest a wedge which will give you more height and a taller stance.

  24. Debbie M.

    Louis,

The show was fantastic! I have a quick question, will there be any “dress”pants in coffee bean this season?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….no…the only other pant in the brown family still to come is the Pebble Crepe pull-on crop pant.

  25. Kate C.

    Hi, Louis-
The tile print skirts…LOVE! I can’t wait to see the coordinating tops. Can you please tell me what the dark “anchor” colors are in each of the color ways? I wear a great deal of black for work, and am hoping that at least one of these beautiful prints works back to black.
Thank you so much for your work. My husband refers to my Linea pieces my “good stuff” 🙂 I am quickly building a wardrobe of all “good stuff”!
    Best,
    Kate C.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate the Blue and the Magenta colors both have black….The Marigold has black to, but when it mixes with the other colors it turns Coffee Bean brown. There is a lot of over printing in the print….meaning one color is printed over another to create a third. So the black printed over the marigold created brown……This is a very intricate and complicated print and you will not see anything like it. As I said it is my favorite of the season.

  26. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. It’s me again. The T-Shirt dress, in a word—KILLER! If it is gong to be reordered, I’d love a Navy and also Red—your Classic Red, like the Ponte Knit Zipfront Jacket. Louis, this is another home run for you—like the Boho—just keep making them and we’ll keep buying them. My only fear is that I won’t ever put on anything else—-it’s just that comfortable! I’ve got the Olive on right now, with your Linea Persimmon Cardigan over the shoulders and your faceted bead necklace with the Green, Orange, Bronze and Gunmetal beads. Styling it with Olive Espadrilles, a Brunt Orange Croco Tote and a Rachel Zoe Tribal Pashmina in shades of Olive, Gold, Burnt Orange with touches of Black. I’m dressed for the day and I don’t even have to change for a casual dinner out tonight in CT. “One and done”—that’s my new Linea T-Shirt dress slogan—you can borrow it if you want—LOL!

When are the crop leggins coming and in what colors, please? June? I need multiples. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are coming in June, but these days QVC posts things early so you never know…..Black, White, Olive and Peacock.

  27. gk27

Dear Louis, I think you got me with the tile print pencil skirt. Could you please do a sneak peek with more info on this fabulous skirt?

  28. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. I’m so thrilled for you that the jewelry line is doing so well. I was one of the Linea Ladies who kept clamoring for you to bring jewelry—so we could “try” to look like your models—and now that we have the jewelry, it’s been great fun, trying!

One of your “sleeper” pieces is J270118 Dome Stretch Bracelet—the bold stretch cuff—I have it in both Red and Black and the matching necklaces. I want to suggest that you do this in other colors—including, perhaps, two-tone or even three-tone. When I was in South Africa last year I picked up almost identical cuffs in local African bazaars in mixed Ivory and Browns—when I get a chance, I’ll send you a picture–and I also picked up a Brown cuff there, with rich brown tones. Matching beads are always nice, too.

You and Jac have a great weekend—the weather is beautiful here in Western Massachusetts, so I imagine great on the CT shore, too.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Shelia…so good to hear from you. I hope you will have some time to enjoy your home before you’re off again. I agree with you…those stretch bold cuffs are fabulous. They were inspired by a cuff I bought in a wonderful store in NYC, that some of the ladies had to opportunity to buy from…..unfortunately it has closed

      1. Jane

        Hi Louis,

I don’t know if you know, but Jacques Carcanagues passed away in January [http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/nytimes/obituary.aspx?pid=169348230]. He had a wonderful store and I purchased a number of items there.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane….I had no idea…..That is so sad just when he retires, after so many years in the business, he passes. Now I wonder if the reason he retired was his health His store was a one of a kind and before it closed I bought many things I had my eye on for a long time. His taste level was not to be compared. This is indeed sad news.

  29. Seka

    FYI – Sherry,

Videp for A254576 Bodysuit is now available.

    1. Sherry

      Thanks Seka!

  30. Seka

Great Show – a pleasure to watch! Am introducing a younger Family Member to Linea – with the T-Shirt Dress in Olive (want the Capri Leggings as well). Thank you for the fabulous Designs!

So glad you have a 2 hour Show in June!

  31. Dulwich

Great shows yesterday great clothes. Today a255139 new asymmetrical skirt is up for ordering on line. I thought you said in show available in June – however it is up now. Hip sizes seem larger than usual can we size down in this? I normally wear Large but looking at waist and low hip on this skirt medium might work – or should Instay with normal size large? Love this skirt – your clothes are superb. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dulwich….if the med. measurements work for your wait and hips….go with the med. It is not a tight skirt and the lining is stretch tricot knit.

  32. Pamela

What a great intro to kick off yesterday’s show! Loved the ‘behind the scenes’ and the dramatic unveiling of each model! It set a FUN tone to the fast & furious one hour production. I applaud you LDO – you keep me enthralled with fashion.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have to tip my hat to the QVC creative team…..it was all their idea, and I have to say…..with the cameras back stage and all the excitement that created, and the clothes all lined up with the pictures and accessory bags…it brought me back to my Anne Klein Days……it was FUN! I’m glad you enjoyed it….a little something different for a change.

  33. DeLois

Louis. Will there ever be a skirt in Whisper Knit in the Dark Tan……. Oh how I wish i could add the third piece to the sleeveless top and cardigan…….

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Delois…..there is no plan for one, especially with the latte skirt…….If the Dk. Tan does well….well then you never know.

  34. Terri (TexasMom1)

Good morning Louis! Just saw the new tile print skirt online. Just beautiful! I am asking if the marigold yellow will coordinate with your wonderful yellow denim jacket? I love that jacket and wear it a lot and never fail to get compliments. Your collection these past few months has been so lovely and it just keeps getting better!

    1. nikki

Louis, i have the same question, will the yellow denim jacket and the coffee bean sleeve shirt work with the marigold tile print skirt. Thankyou

      1. nikki

I meant the coffee bean sleeveless shirt

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki………..The chocolate shirt definitely works, but the yellow denim is a completely different color. You know when you buy flats of Marigolds this time of year to plant in the garden…..some are yellow like the denim jacket and some are more of an orangy yellow……the skirt is more of an orangy yellow. I tried them together and they don’t match in any way……..that said, all of the magazines and even women on the street are showing and wearing things that don’t match at all, so it’s up to you and your esthetic………it’s not terrible, but it certainly doesn’t match.

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

This new tile print skirt in the magenta does it work back to the rayon/spandex tank top and coordinating lace open cardigan you had previously? (A229468– tank and A229467– lace tank)Thanks in advance for your response.
Finally seeing Les Miz this PM w dinner at Orso.

          Regards,
          Chris

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Have some Rosemary bread for me!!!!…..I can’t find the magenta tank so I tried a black tank and the tile skirt….It’s very funky but I loved it all together….very EDITORIAL….I really wouldn’t have thought to put the lace with the print but it’s very unique…………….good imagination!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Terri, as I answered Nikki, they are very different yellows….the denim more of a lemon yellow marigold….the print more of an orangy yellow marigold…..you see these two types of yellows at the plant nurseries all the time.

  35. designista

Incredible show! Your work as a true designer was certainly showcased. The behind the scenes shots with all of your sketches spoke volumes. It proved that you just can’t put your name on a label and call yourself a designer. I think that it’s time for you to take a vacation so that my credit card gets a rest!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry no vacation….I have three hours on June5th……2:00am and 5:00pm -7:00pm……………no rest for the weary!

      1. Sherry

        OMGosh…3 hours of new stuff in June??? I can’t take it…LOL Well…I can take it…my budget can’t…

          1. Sherry

            OK…whew…LOL.

  36. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
Loved the shows. The sleeveless assymetrical top is great – thought you were going to give it some air time (except sneak peak)

I bought the assymetrica shirt -a233187 in grey (already have black & white), I thought you said you were going to have a legging that matched it. If so, when???

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJ LADY……..The tank asym top you speak of was never scheduled to get air time…I have no idea why except lack of time to air it. That is why I put it on Kate with the crop pant….so you all could see it…..It is a FABULOUS fitting piece and very versatile…with a WK pencil or Capri leggings…It’s already gotten phenomenal reviews. I think you should definitely try one. I looks great with a WK pencil skirt or the Carpi legging…..Now for the legging. It is due on my June 5th, 5:00pm to 7:00pm show…..Who can tell if they decide to post it earlier? It will be avail in Black, White, Olive and Peacock.

      1. NJ Lady

I bought the black tank and love it. Fits perfectly.

I thought you said you would have some capri in the grey that would match the shirt.
        Did I imagine it?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think you must have imagined it. Gray was never one of the colors, but it’s a good idea.

  37. Jane

Great shows, Louis! The clothes looked beautiful and the time just flew by. The phone call from Mary in California was wonderful — expressed what we all feel. Thanks for all your hard work. Now, just waiting for all my goodies to arrive. And, this morning, 3 more new items posted on QVC!!!

  38. nikki

Louis, I was just admiring all my beautiful purchases from yesterday’s shows, what a beautiful presentation. I cannot believe the beautiful things I purchased.
THis morning QVC has the tile skirt ready for order. I love the color of the marigold. Can you tell me what tops will go with it. I cant really tell the colors, it looks absolutely gorgeous. I have an event coming up, so I would love to order it. Perhaps a sneak peek, if its not too soon.

    1. Sherry

It’s crazy…3 more new pieces online this morning…

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

They were due in June, so I guess Qvc is releasing things early.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki…..this print skirt along with the crushed gauze skirt with the asym. hem, and the open front cardigan with the asym. hem in the same fabric were all scheduled for my June presentation, so I am surprised the the Q has posted them weeks early…………The tile print in question happens to be my favorite of the season [I know I’m not supposed love one child more than the other…LOL], There will be a matching print top for a two piece dress look, A255179 is the style number. It has a V-neck and 3/4 sleeves. There are many colors in this skirt and the printing is phenomenal. There will be a JADE tank that I am doing to go with the skirt…..as that is one of the predominate colors in the print, but if you need something real soon….the COFFEE BEAN looks fabulous with this skirt coloration, and is a good alternate to the jade. there are also more styles in C.B. to choose from……add some JADE or some “GREEN TURQUOISE jewelry and it’s a fantastic look. I don’t even have sneak peeks ready….nothing for June has been photographed. The new long skirt they posted can be seen on Brenda. She is wearing it for the “BODYSUIT ” sell on yesterdays show………….It’s a GREAT PRINT…VERY EUROPEAN.

      1. Sherry

        There’s not a video for the Bodysuit…

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Maybe it’s too early and they haven’t caught up?????I really have no clue how that end of the operation works?

      2. nikki

Thankyou for the information. I can see from the pics of that these are beautiful. You really outdid yourself this season, but then I think that every season.

Dear Louis: It was a magnificent show – I loved the backstage shots because it showed all the work you go through – you dress each model on paper, including all the jewelry and even write in comments,i.e., “tuck the shirt in.” I never realized all the work you do to prepare each model in your creations and matching jewelry. They must LOVE to work with you – you did a fantastic job, and then you had to drive home. God bless you and Jac. (I bet even your “girls” watch and say, “wow, look at Dad and Mom.”

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Toni……the girls were right in front of the TV watching the show with our dog nanny! She says it’s very funny watching them watch us……that’s my girls!

  40. Virginia

    Hi Louis
Terrific show today! I love the new v neck knit dress. I ordered 2 each in black, blue & pink. Two questions. Will there be more style WK’s offered in butter yellow? And, would you consider offering the striped WK tops in a 3/4 sleeve.
    Thank you

  41. Kate

    1, 2, 3, 4 orders. Just when I thought I was done…

  42. Susan

How would a recent FIT graduate with degrees in fashion design and technical design apply for a position in your company?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan….unfortunately, I only have need of two people working for me. The rest of the people I work with are working and hired by my manufacturer.

  43. Carol

Louis your show was amazing, as always. Bought more than I expected, but what’s new?I?

I know you already do so much for us, but I know I’m not the only one who’d LOVE to have copies of your show sketches. Maybe you could post them as a PDF on your blog and then we could print them and make a Look Book notebook of our own.

Thanks so much for all you do for us, Mr. Budget Buster!

OOhhh!!! Carol, what a wonderful idea to have a look book of the sketches….I thought it was great that the Q showed the sketches and peeks of the models area…what fun…

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LOUIS & JAC! If memory seves me correctly, this May marks 15 years for you at QVC. I hope the Q acknowledges you both this afternoon during your 4pm show. A cake would be nice! I think it is also 4 years this May since they decided to cancel you and Linea; another anniversary. I searched past posts on the forum, but most of them from that time period have been deleted. All that was left were the “top results”. It was wonderful to see you and Jac this morning, relaxed and obviously having fun. We even ended up getting the jewelry. Enjoy the Day!

    1. designista

So much for my memory, Happy 14 Year Anniversary!

  46. Parisa

    Hi Louis!

Any way you would consider doing the Asymmetric Hem top A254439 in a long length dress? I LOVE this top!

    Thanks for all you do.

  49. Debra

    Dear Louis

Jac is exquisite in the pink dress!! She is your best model.

I love the pebble crepe top. It is so fabulous and I love the black and latte long skirts it was made in a couple of years ago. I would love to see this top A 213621 in lapis blue (2 for me at least). I would also love it in a bright phlox plum or purple. The lapis and purple plum would look gorgeous with the blacks and grays coming and those already here.

    Thanks so very much!!!!
    Debra

  50. NMM

Good afternoon! I’m trying to expand my color choices wisely. I don’t have too much in olive, and I’m wondering if my geranium pink OTO short sleeve cardi would look well with the olive t-shirt dress? If not, what other colors might look well with it? I’m hoping it will be a nice change in my summer colors, but if we have a warm fall it will look well in fall with boots. Could you advise on colors to coordinate with olive?

Fairly confident I need to order that dress today or it will be gone by tomorrow’s show. I REALLY want the pink dress but now it’s not even on waitlist! Sure hope I didn’t miss it. =0(

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NMM…..personally I would love the Geranium Pink with Olive….very tropical. For me there are two ways to think of olive in the summer…..SAFARI….which would mean mixing all tans…. khaki, latte, dk. tan, chino with a shot of color as an accent like in a gauze scarf or beads…..all kinds of purples, wisteria, violets and lavenders look great with olive…..the second way to approach Olive is….TROPICAL….as in tropical flowers..that’s where the geranium pink comes in…..think pinks…from pale to strong….fuchsias, hot pinks, clear roses, nectarine and orange….The colors of my Feather Jerseys all look good with olive so take a look at those for inspiration……nothing faded or grayed…….I love lime, turquoise and aqua with olive….even lapis blue looks wonderful with olive….the accessories will matter to pull it together. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF COLOR with olive…..Of course Black, White and Olive is a sure combination.

      1. NMM

Thank you so much! This is extremely helpful. I am definitely color-challenged, so this sort of advice is just wonderful. VERY glad I ordered olive yesterday, since I had commitments at my daughters’ school all day. By the time I got home, olive was COMPLETELY gone, and pink isn’t available in M anymore. =0( I guess I missed it. I am so hopeful that they will be reordered. Dare I dream? Just sitting down now to watch the show item-by-item at qvc.com. Thanks again!

  51. maggie

Hi Louis, I would like the kate shirt in pale green or in pale lilac and really want a pale yellow ( I believe a return color?)and a pale beige to go with the twig.

  52. Bobbie

Hi, Louis. I would like to have the pebble crepe top in lapis blue, hot pink or bright turquoise.( I had the former aqua, but unfortunately it was badly stained by accident. I was just sick about it. I still have multiples in the other colors of black, navy, chili pepper and olive. I live in them and layer with the WK turtlenecks in the early fall and spring. For me they ar the perfect weight and shape. I love the pockets on the tunic! So please keep this style coming! Thanks for the opportunity for input.

  53. Sharon

Good morning, Louis! Cotton Span leggings – I would love to see leggings to match the flowy georgette tops: turquoise, gray, black, white, dark tan and navy. Of course, I would love to see a soft pink in the top as well. I agree with Joan that the t-shirt dress would be lovely in lavender. I missed your long cross necklace (the one that came in silver and gold). QVC still sells the earrings, but I would want the set. I hope you bring that piece back. I have lots of your gorgeous jewelry and am always anxiously awaiting new pieces. I love the large pieces..thank you for creating them and selling them to us!

    Thank you again!

    Sharon from Alabama

  54. Toni Fisher

Hi Louis: I am on waitlist for the Hunter Green t-neck, long sleeve – I just love that color – I looked the other day and didn’t see it, must have sold out already? Maybe Q just does that when they order something new. Anyway, love hunter green. When I look around at nature, all the colors go together, orange with pink, hunter with brown, blue with sand, and out here in New Mexico, all the colors are vivid, it’s really easy to put things together, even violet/purple with heather, brown or green. Can’t wait to get the Hunter Green. thanks, Louis.

  55. Suzzeee

For the WK sweaters, I went to the Pantone chart for Fall 2014 for inspiration and…

Sangria, Cobalt, Cypress, Cognac and an Orchid/Plum color would all be fabulous!!

    For Denim… Grey

For the Leggings – bring back in black and… a dark blue and a dark charcoal

For the lace: A coffee bean/cream combo would be pretty — ditto for a charcoal with a contrasting color… non metallic silver maybe??

For the Pebbled Crepe – a lapis/cobalt blue, a charcoal and a plum would be amazing!

Thanks for all of the great fashion and for being “you”!!

  56. CC

Colors I’d love to see in whisper knits: African violet purple, magenta, blackberry jam, sweet cherry, and azure blue.

  57. Yoko

A233944 short sleeve whisper knit vneck. I believe this is the top you requested feedback re additional colors. (Think you may have posted the wrong number on your blog?). Would love to see this in the radiant orchid pantone 2014 color of the year. Also, in red plum, mint green, bougainvillea magenta, orange juice orange and red-purple.

Please consider nuanced Asian colors fandom patterns in ancient Japanese fabrics. Thank you

  58. Debbie B

Hi Louis, Here are my suggestions. For the WK in all styles, I would like you to bring back the aqua. It would look nice in the turtleneck, long sleeve and all the short sleeves and sleeveless. I would also like red in all styles. In the denim jacket, I would like a true red, not chili pepper, but the red A219896 and ivory or natural.
    Thanks,
    Debbie

  59. Joan

    Dear Louis

Received the blue and dark tan T shirt dress. On waitlist for the pink. Tried them both on and they are PERFECTION!!!!! Please do some more just like these. Maybe a chili pepper, grey and lavender? We who live in Florida wear the darker colors in winter but in the cotton fabrics like this. They would be perfect for us all year round.

Your styles are just THE BEST!!!!!!!!

    Joan

    1. Suzzeee

and…to add to this request…do this in the Fall with sleeves — 3/4 or long….

  60. Kathy

    Dear Louis
Tried to put the pink T- Shirt dress on wait list but it does not even show a wait list?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Tht’s strange since Carol just posted she’s on it….I’ll check with the buyer

  61. BCM

    Dear Louis,
will you be making any other May appearances on QVC besides the one hour scheduled on May16th?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will not be making any other appearances, but the clothes will without me…I will let you all know!

      1. Debbie M.

You are letting your clothes fly solo? Aren’t they too young to be out on their own?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sometimes you have to cut the cord. I have instructed the stylists how I would like them shown, but of course they don’t have all of my accessories, belts and all……we’ll se how it goes. I’ve sent my sketches to help.

          1. Sherry

So you will not be there Friday morning with Jane and Pat then?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….I will be there with bells on! I won’t be there on Memorial Day for PM Style when they present the Lace jacket in the new colors and the new cap sleeve jersey top and matching skirt….all on Memorial Day….but all of these pieces are avail to order now.

          2. Debbie M

You will be missed, but I will be watching. I would say also buying, but I will have bought everything by then. LOL! I hope they do a good job so you can take a break now and then from schlepping there for “hits”.

  62. Nancy

Hi Louia, What do you think about the coffee bean ikat jacket with the solid sleeveless newer coffee bean dress? Same mood?

  63. Anonymous

Louis will you showing a sneak peak of the cotton ikat print. I would love to see it before your show so I can plan my purchases.
    thankyou

  64. Beryl

    Dear, Dear Louis,
You’ve done it again. Just received A254438skirt and LOVE it. I feel the pictures do not do it justice. I adore the fabric and the fit and have posted reviews on Linea site and blog. Stop with all your beautiful designs. I’m almost 83 and don’t need anything but want gets in the way.
Keep on designing and I’ll keep on buying.
    Love you and Jac,
    Beryl

  65. nikki

    Hello Louis,
I rec’d the t-shirt dress in black. I went back and immediately ordered the olive, carribean blue and another black. I guess you can tell I love it. I wore it out with the navy denim jacket. Love it.
I will be buying the suntan jacket will that go with the turquoise blue dress, I know you had posted earlier that the sand/turquoise/white is a very american indian combination. I guess I wanted to know if the suntan jacket color and the turquoise colors would work in this case.
thankyou for this beautiful piece. I want a fall version with long sleeves

    1. Pamela

I 2nd that request for a long sleeve version of the semi-fitted Tshirt Vneck dress. (maybe with a double V neckline too?)

      1. nikki

Ok I have to stop somewhere. I have a long list for the upcoming show. But thankyou
