Dear Louis: Great show and Leah did a good job with you, she let you explain your creations. LOVE the dark sand sweater – are you going to do anything in that color or CAMEL for the Fall. The coffee bean is just beautiful – love the “twofer” – what a great offer and I love the black and pink. I love brown and black together and the models did a great job for you. SAW that silver fish on Marie, I have mine, and it is already on waitlist, unbelievable. Congratulations and I know the “girls” were doing a Rockette kick during that show – woohoo.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Toni………..No I am not doing and camels for fall….in the way of sweaters…..but I will be having an amazing CAMEL PEA JACKET in the same camel as last years POSH KNIT sweaters and scarf…..I am amazed the silver fish is gone already, and I can say they did order just a few!

  2. Debra

    Dear Louis,

What a busy day and appreciation for all of the Spring/Summer finale pieces.

I am a fan of your open cardigans, both kimono and drape. You had mentioned in an earlier posting that the drape cardigan will be coming in black for the fall. With the matching black shell be made as well? I try to get the same dye lots as able.

    many thanks,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra…..because we already have three or four tank styles in black already including the new two for one tank and V-neck, a new order wasn’t placed. I don’t think there will be any problem as far as the blacks matching, but when I get my sample in I will check it with the other tanks I have…..you’ll just have to remind me in a month or so..

  3. Mary Ann Martin

I love your clothes on QVC and really love the way you style with your jewelry. I look at your jewelry on QVC but don’t see many of the pieces the models are wearing. Where can I find your jewelry?????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary Ann, I only do jewelry for QVC, so that is the only place you will find it……Some of the jewelry I show is from my personal collection of things I have purchased over the years for inspiration and some are vintage pieces from Anne Klein. I will say if there is a particular piece that you were interested in you should describe it to me or tell me what Linea video it was in, and I will let you know more about it….Also…..many of the photos on the Linea site look nothing like the actual pieces, and that may be another reason you can’t find it…..

  4. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. I just flew back from DC and my 2 Pack WKs in Perfectly Pink was waiting for me—they go beautifully with the Black Floral Cardigan…I would juts love another Perfectly Pink WK Pencil skirt in your new shorter length—pretty please!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If it gets reordered and they want a new color….P.P. it will be.

  5. Noramae

    Louis,

You probably will not see this in time, but you are mentioned in today’s (June 5th) New York Times. It mentions you and Donna Karen (page E10) I was thrilled to see your name, and am thrilled I will be home from work in time to see this evening’s show!! Cannot wait -also Easy Pays enables us to purchase more rather than less!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Noramae….thanks for the heads up….I looked at it on line. That was some article…..It sounded like trouble is brewing to me, and it was written in a way that was not terribly complimentary to Donna.

  6. Kate

LDO- the new pebble crepe crop pants seem to be running on the large size according to the QVC measurements. I know there’s zero stretch but even so, 42in hip for a size 8 seems roomy. No one wants baggy, droopy pants, so if you have an input about how these are supposed to fit, might be helpful.

    1. Sherry

Hi Kate…I noticed the sizing as well and measured a pair of linen pants that I have from JJill…for the size 12 the pebble crepe are the exact same size as my med, so for me, I will be ordering my usual size 12 and my hips are 40″. Thought maybe this would help…don’t know if LDO will be able to answer before the show.

  7. Sharon L

Told myself I wasn’t going to order anything, but resistance is futile. Ordered the new pebble crepe crops and the animal print cardigan. Looking forward to your 5pm show. You may want to check out the style section of today’s NY Times- you are mentioned in the article on Donna Karan.

  8. Writer with Flair (Patti)

I have not been able to find the cotton/spandex legging (A255122) that matches the tunic (A255145) on the QVC site. Will it be available for the upcoming shows on 6/5?

      1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

        Thanks, Louis.

  9. Pamela

Hi Louis! Sounds like you may have an upcoming surprise or 2 in store for us? Always excited for your shows which is the only time I make a point to watch QVC.

You give us a TRUE FASHION SHOW! Have a great 3 hour showing & know it’s my pure pleasure in seeing you & Jac – have fun!

p.s. Thank you for such excellent Spring offerings – I’m thrilled with all my orders so far = much Love!

  10. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

LOVING the new perfectly pink pieces in the 2-fer! I’m a “high neck” kind of gal but I’ll make these work with a scarf, necklace or by turning the tank around as well as wearing the lower scoop front as a vest over other items. I absolutely LOVE your softer colors. I can’t get enough of the butter yellow color (bought a 2nd of the same mockneck as a “back-up”), and I love the new Sky-blue color. Wow, the drape front Sky Blue cardigan (crushed gauze) is very beautiful with silver-grey. And delish with the butter and gorgeous with the perfectly pink. I’d love a softer muted aqua than any I’ve seen you offer in recent years also at some point in a jacket, WK mock neck or in the style of the crushed gauze set. Would love to see a perfectly pink blazer – long, double breasted perhaps 😉 Enough pipe dreaming!

But here is my question today:
Might you be considering making the mock-neck sleeveless top in perfectly pink next year?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…I’m so glad you are liking your pieces…..I have tried so many times to get a double breasted jacket but they keep getting rejected. I’m told they don’t sell and the ones that they have done have had high returns. I did them all the time at AK, but I can’t make them buy something they don’t want.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

I always felt like a double breasted suit was flattering on the plus size figure – especially a longer jacket – but I guess I’d get an argument on that from people who returned them. Anyway, I’ll take any perfectly pink you can serve up, jacket, mock neck sleeveless etc.

Update: Sunday I decided to wear the cap sleeve top and skirt set in lapis which has given me such fits. I had only washed it and ironed it once. During church I looked down at my manicure and noticed that the white ends of my finger nails were a distinct blueish. I groaned because I had only had the manicure the day before. At the end of the day when I changed out of the lapis set I had blue rub-off on my shoulder pads and white underwear. Absolutely REFUSING to be defeated by a fabric !!! I decided to go for wash # 2 today. First I soaked it in cold in the sink as Jac did and no blue in the water. Then I washed it in the washer (as per the label directions) in cold gentle – no detergent. There was a whole lot LESS of the blue coming out this time than in wash # 1. I wiped the washer tub down with a white paper towel after I took the set out and there was only the palest of blue on the paper towel after wipe down. I’m not giving up on this set yet. I did not have rub-off on the fuchsia jacket I wore with the set – just on my fingertips and on white underwear and shoulder pads. Not giving up and only reporting in because you asked about the second washing.

  11. Sharon

Hello Louis, I must say that this upcoming show is killing me with all the decisions I have to make. I already have ordered two tunics and planned on all of the WK tanks because they go with everything but then the new cotton cardi came in matching colors and now matching pants to the tunics. I’m a plus size girl and yet to many choices. So now it comes down to either painting my house or buying all your clothes. Then there is all that new jewelry your making and what temptation that is but I do think you should make a few belts for your collection . So what will it be Paint Or Fashion?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon….I’m ending the season with a BANG…..some of my favorite pieces are on this show

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Definitely FASHION….painting the house will cost BIG BUCKS….better to hold off until the fall or better yet next spring.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Definitely FASHION….painting the house will cost BIG BUCKS….better to hold off until the fall or better yet next spring.

  12. Kate

LDO, you know I love your clothes but I have to say lately, it’s the jewelry that’s rocking my little world. I think I wear one your pieces nearly every day. Yesterday I paired the old gold and cabochon cross with the new black mixed bead necklace and it was such a WOW look. Today I’m wearing your white enamel watch with two of the fish link bracelets. My skinny jeans, wedges and t’s never looked so good! What sort of stuff can we look forward to this fall?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….I have lots of goodies in store for you….Did you see the two strand Linea Gold ball necklace in one of my Sneak Peeks? If not I will have one of the models wearing it in the 5pm show. It is not only coming in “LINEA GOLD”, but LINEA CHOCOLATE, LINEA GUNMETAL, ad LINEA SILVER. These are all new finishes that I LOVE. They are not shiny…..they all have rthe look of the Linea GOLD. This is something I have been trying to accomplish since I started the jewelry line, and I have honestly not seen these finishes anywhere in the Fashion Jewelry market. RLM did a real silver bead for me many years ago that Donna con’t with and old as part of her line. This looks just as good at a fraction of the price. The chocolate and g. metal finishes are all mine. There will also be a stud earring in each color to match….that we may or may not sell as sets of two or four…..at least that’s the plan….nothing is written in stone yet. There wil also be a three strand short pearl necklace with tiny metal spacer beads…..I think you may have seen the new broach that I showed on the rayon/span dresses on PM Style…if not they will be on my 2am show…..there is so much more…………

      1. Kate

Well now, that’s what I’m talking about! Thank you!

        1. Debbie M.

OH OH I need a winning lotto ticket.

      2. enjay

Seriously, wow. I’ll be getting the silver, gold and gunmetal – plus the earrings. And I’ll be watching for that crazy good black bead bib-style necklace that you photographed with the pebble crepe black tank. That’s one of the best necklaces I’ve seen in ages.

This is major stuff – your new pieces are classy with an edge. Couldn’t love it more!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Enjay….I’m telling you ….you are going to want the LINEA CHOCOLATE TOO. It’s a burnished DARK COPPER….like the wire cuff. This is a difficult color to plate. Since these are two strand necklaces I LOVE them mixed….like the gunmetal and the chocolate…..the gunmetal and the silver….the silver and the gold….and all four at one time….fabulous…….the other necklace with the big black drops is for the Holiday selling and it also comes in CLEAR…..which is fantastic….these are necklaces that are really unique

          1. enjay

You had me at “burnished dark copper!”

  13. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Will you be showing your new 6-strand necklace with any of your new fashions on Thursday?

Looking forward to “seeing” you & Jac,
    Dariann

      1. Goldie76

        Dear Louis,

So many new items that I cannot keep up. Which is the “new 6-strand necklace?”

        1. Kate

          Torsade: J290366

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank you Kate for answering this question….I’ve been up to my ears in getting the shows ready…..Three hours and an FEW appearance equals lots of samples and jewelry to bring down!

          1. Sherry

Can you tell us what item(s) will be in the FEW appearance?…please.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dariann…..did you see the necklaces on the girls? Jac was wearing the black [doubled] with the white pebble crepe tunic, and Brenda was wearing the red [doubled] with the white cotton knit short sleeve tunic. I know you will love these necklaces. I think they are your taste.

  14. Debra

    Good morning Louis,

When will the new tank a255118 carved curve tank go live? I have no access to any tv or internet tomorrow and Thursday. Thank you so much for showing it backwards which is how I will be wearing this tank. It is a lovely look and color choice and I hate to miss it.

    Many thanks,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It will be on the 5 pm show….so I would guess as soon as the show starts it can be ordered….or just before if not earlier on Thursday.

  15. DeLois

Louis, I am in love with the short-sleeve V-neck cotton knit dress and I am wondering if the new wood block print dress will fit about the same……. ?????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Th shapes are very different and the Feather Jersey is light and flowy while the cotton span is more structured. It’s comparing apples and oranges. That said I think you should buy tour normal size. The measurement to look for is the bust since it is a tank dress….you don’t want it to be too big or small the….rest of the dress is easy…not closely fitted.

  16. Toni Fisher

Dear Louis: Just received the goldie and silver fishes – they are beautiful and I just love them. Finally, so glad they it out here in one piece – just love them. thanks so much. Toni Fisher

  17. Writer with Flair (Patti)

For any one who missed it in previous go-rounds, the pink short sleeve t-shirt dress (A254472) is back in stock.

  18. Carol

    Dear Louis,

I went to order the new stained glass print top this morning, I noticed that the fiber content shown on the page is cotton/span. I thought you said it was the poly/span. I’m assuming you’re right, and QVC is wrong, but I imagine you want to let them know it’s posted incorrectly. You know how some people are about the poly vs cotton war. Just don’t want a new one to break out if someone gets it home and finds out it’s not cotton.

The top is lovely, by the way.

  19. Writer with Flair (Patti)

I am continuing to love the hop sack linen (100% polyester) Chanel-looking jackets (A233851) and pants, and matching lotus print tanks and the coordinating jackets (faux de chine).

I could really use a classic blazer jacket (with gold buttons) in both navy and black colors in that wonderful hop sack linen-look fabric. A matching pant and skirt would be great as well.

  20. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

Would the navy Whisper knit pull-on skirt (A253411) match the navy Whisper Knit Boyfriend Cardigan (A251578)? I was thinking of getting the skirt if it matches so I can have a navy “column of color.” Thanks for any help you can provide.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They close, but not an exact match. Every time the sweater factory dyes a new lot of yarn it always comes out slightly different.

      1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

        Thanks for checking, Louis.

  21. Sharon L

Thanks for your prompt response. Got my silver fish today– we’ll worth the wait. It’s fabulous.

  22. Sharon L

I was wondering if the upcoming short sleeve tunic is the same weight as the 3/4 sleeve tunic you sold a few months ago. I love that tunic but it’s a little too heavy for summer. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon….yes it is, which is the same as the T-shirt dress I just sold.

  23. Sherry

I would like to make a request please…would it be possible to make the new multi-strand necklace and the new long bead necklace in a coffee bean coloration? also a matching earring…I love all my Neutral/Coffee Bean clothing…when we were in the largest city in Central/Western Kansas this past week, I was on a jewelry expedition…no brown jewelry to be found…I know I should pop a color…but I’m a mono-chromatic kind of gal…LOL. Thank you for listening and entertaining my thoughts.

    1. Sherry

I should have said in styles similar to the new multi-strand necklace and the new long bead necklace.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry…..I don’t think you would like brown plastic beads….they aren’t pretty…..step out of the box and pop a color…or add tortoise or find something in wood, or bone or horn….brown plastic is a no no….I tried and threw them O.U.T.

      1. Sherry

OK…didn’t know that brown makes ugly beads…I didn’t find any natural elements beads either…must have been too late in the season…all gone. I am not fond of shopping online for jewelry…but I suppose it’s my next option…Thank you for your explanation.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….I don’t want to mislead you… I’ve seen beautiful brown beads and I own some, but I have not found a good resource for them. When I do….I will have wonderful brown beads.

          1. Sherry

Thanks again…I hope you find a resource for the beads…your jewelry is far superior in quality, value and eye appeal than anything I have been finding on my shopping excursions…and, you show us options…where else can a gal get that…nowhere I say!!!

  24. Pat

Louis I love your new light weight crinkle fabric. It drapes so beautifully and is so comfortable to wear. Could this fabric ever be used for a matching pant or capri?

Thank you for this amazing collection.

    Warmest regards,

    Pat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I guess it could, but it would have to be lined in all the colors and that might defeat the purpose of this light gauzy fabric….maybe not…….I would have to try one and see how it looks…..that’s if the buyers like the idea, and also if the new pieces do well.

  25. CC

Louis, ahhhhhh…the new fuchsia and jade pieces., they had be at the first peek. Please do tell, will we see any more items in these gorgeous colors? Busily finishing up an art piece for installation next week, thank goodness this commission will come just in time to have the extra money to get a few of your jade & fuchsia items.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear CC….this tank in these colors was done specifically for the Tile Print skirts and I have not done any other pieces in these colors….but if they prove to be successful…..you can be sure I will use them for other things.

  26. Chrystene

    Hi Louis –

I have a long shopping list ready for your upcoming shows. Would it be possible in the future to have printed in labels on tops. I usually have to remove the labels. I always worry I will ruin the garments but the labels drive me crazy.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I asked about this in the past and I was told no…they don’t want to have it in my clothing.

  27. Nancy

So Louis, what do you think of the wisteria/peacock embroidered tunic with the peacock leggings? Too much? Or do you prefer the tunic with long white jeans?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If the emb. color and the legging were close I’d say absolutely, but the colors aren’t the same. The legging is greener….It really doesn’t bother me, but I know some would not like it…..However, the legging does goes fabulously with the peacock tunic, A251587

  28. Judy

Some of us are having to pass on the new t-shirts due to the short length on the small sizes, some have even said the sleeves are too short. Even average height ladies want a t-shirt longer than 23 inches. Will you please consider doing a longer (26in to 27in) t-shirt with elbow sleeves. Thank you for listening to our wants and needs.

  29. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

Would the Chiffon Jacquard Tunic (A251587) in the peacock color work with the new peacock leggings?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti…….WOW….I hadn’t thought of those pieces together….checked it out and…PERFECTION…The legging matches the satin medallions which are lighter than the background….Thanks…that’s the way I will show it next time.

  30. Carol B

I am purchasing 3 more “fish.” I will have 2 gold and 2 silver. I am giving 2 of them to a friend. Opinion on wearing a gold and a silver at the same time. I want the master’s confirmation. Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

ABSOLUTELY….why NOT….With the right attitude and confidence you can do anything…….

  31. nikki

Louis, Like Kate, I love the new ikat print skirt and jacket. I bought the chili pepper set and wore the it with the coordinating tank and navy denim jacket. Ofcourse, now I want to buy the brown. I wanted to know, how would you style it with the denim jacket or is it something that just would not work?
I loved how you suggested the stripe wk with black kimono cardigan, and look forward to wearing my chili pepper version this way soon.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki….sorry it has taken me so long to answer you….I’ve been a little busy and I really had to give your question some thought. I think you have to be of the same mind set as me that a denim jacket can work with anything. I tied the brown Ikat print skirt with my new white poly span S/S TEE [any whit or ivory tee will do] and the indigo denim jacket…..tortoise sunglasses a straw tote [Michael Kors does fabulous ones, and they go with EVERYTHING]….some natural espadrilles or wedges and you will look great….pulled together in a non matching way. The Coffee Bean/Latte stripe will look terrific, and so will any of the latte WK tops…..a Pale blue [like my Kate cotton shirt] or chambray shirt or TEE belted with a sporty brown belt would look terrific too…..butter is also complimentary……The key thing is pull the skirt together with whatever top you like and then jut wear your denim jacket…..it doesn’t have nor should it match. Remember, accessories always help to pull things that don’t match together.

  32. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Dear Louis: Here is why I have embraced the crushed gauze cardi, tiered tank and skirt as the happy solution for my summer “dress” needs. My blk and white sets (minus tanks which will arrive next week) were delivered yesterday.
    1. First impression: The fabric FEELS so wonderful. Smooth, cool, almost buttery 🙂 Just glides over the body.
    2. The skirt has a LONG lining and no half-slip is needed. Nothing “untoward” shows anywhere. Hurray!
    3. The skirt waist band is stitched through the waistband casing along the center of the elastic. No flipping and flopping around of the elastic in the waistband casing. Yippee!
    4. The length of the skirt in 2X on the sides where the points are at the longest – hit’s this 5’7” tall plus lady just above the ankle bone in flats or in 2 inch wedge heels. SO comfortable and slimming! When you walk the skirt just floats along with you in the most flattering ethereal way. The Q photo does NOT do this skirt justice!
    5. The cardi. WOW! How to say this? The White is absolutely gorgeous, as you said it would be, over solid colors. I put it on over my all-time favorite Q dresses which I BEGGED (to no avail) to have reordered ~ A94127 ~ and throw on a 4-yr old Rachel Zoe 5-strand necklace in White ~ J275840 ~ SO Chic! Off to a summer wedding – only seconds to perfection. This white cardi would also be great with the cap sleeve tank and matching skirt set which did not work for me, because there is no break in the color line underneath. The Black – WOW! Any print with sleeve (or not) can be worn under the black as nothing much shows through. I paired it with your cheetah print v-neck tops and the matching black asymmetric skirt, adding either your new red (for the red v-neck top) or the new black 6 strand ethnic necklaces and these v-necks take on a whole new elevated look! For me, this means I get the wardrobe extender factor I was looking for with a host of other summer wardrobe pieces. Thank you for that!
    6. The “crush” of the fabric is perfection. These crushed gauze pieces will never need even a smidge of ironing! Again, thank you for that!
    7. The cardigans paired with the matching skirts work well for my tall frame worn together and I LOVE the look! It is elegant AND cool (literally), elongating and graceful all at the same time.
    8. The sleeves on the cardi are beautifully designed. They float over my upper arm whether I am wearing a long sleeve underneath or just a short sleeve or shell. Makes the arms look svelte 😉
All in all, the perfect solution for my summer “dress” needs. [And yes the sky blue is on its way to me along with the tiered tops so I can mix the sets around as well, as your photos depicted.] Thank you for your guidance and patience while I worked this problem out. Your help here has been invaluable!

    1. Anne

Nancy, Thank you for this information. It helped me decide to buy them. Anne in NC

      1. nikki

I love mine also a lot and will get the other colors. They are very lovely. Thanks Louis

      2. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Anne, I hope you love them too! 🙂

  33. Kate

I love the new cotton ikat print set. Will we see more of the trim little cotton pencil skirts similar to those of the past such as the chain print and medallion print? I’m sure because there’s no stretch returns are an issue, but there are many of us who love and continue to wear these classic pieces!

      1. Enjay

Just backing up Kate’s request. If the opportunity comes up in the future, I love these classic, chic little skirts! I do wish the Q would lighten up a little about the stretch. Nit everything in life needs spandex..

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Enjay….I would normally agree with you, and I have argued this point….what did women do before stretch….but facts don’t lie. The returns on garments without stretch or little stretch is MUCH greater then those with……I never used to wear pull-on pants when I worked in the city…and when I started working mainly from home I started swearing pull-ons, and slowly I got bigger and bigger. Now I don’t wear them as much so it’s either lose weight or be uncomfortable…….stretch can be a dangerous thing………LOL

          1. jmarie

Sigh. Spandex seems to have convinced a generation of women that all garments must be skin hugging or there’s something “wrong” with the fit.

But I must say your rayon span pieces have become my go-to summer wardrobe. Any plans for the maxi/tank set to return in more colors? The cut of both pieces is incredibly flattering and comfortable. Maybe dark olive? Would love to see the lace jacket come back in dark olive, too!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear jmarie….I have heard nothing about those particular pieces being reordered, and that will make me sad, because I really can’t improve them. The maxi is, for me the perfect proportion. There are few maxis that I can say can be worn with longer tops…..this is one that can, because of its’ silhouette.. I happen to love the navy maxi with the new Turquoise tank tunic, in the same fabric, with the asymmetrical hem, and it will be wonderful this fall with many of the new sweaters and jackets…..The tank, as you say, has a wonderful fit, and in this fabric , and the way the framing is done….makes is a simple, but special piece…..fingers crossed.

  34. Jane

Hi Louis, Can you give us more info on the fit of the new Whisper Knit tank and V-neck. I know you said “These are not boxy sweaters…..There is a definite shape to them…..not too much….just to follow the lines of the body…….” I usually size down in my WK sweaters, particularly tanks, but now I’m not sure if I should. Thanks for any help you can offer.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane…I put your question to the “fit” department and they advised me to tell you to order your normal QVC WK size.

      1. Jane

        Thanks, Louis!

  35. Maia

Louis, please continue to make higher necklines, including jewel/crewnecks. I know a lot of ladies are happy your 2-fer WKs have lower necklines, but there’s still a contingent of us that prefer high necklines. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Maia…..the majority of the sweaters have higher necklines and I will continue to do sweaters with higher necklines, but once in a while I have to please the Linea Ladies who prefer them lower….I try to make everyone happy…………..at some point…LOL

      1. Maia

And you do make all of us happy! Thank you!

      2. Cathy in PA

And we ALL thank you, Louis … from a lady who likes these lower necklines as well as boat/ballet necklines 🙂

        Cathy in PA

  36. Jules

Hi Louis 🙂 I adore the lace cardi so much I have every color now but seafoam. I would so love either city shorts or skinny pants made out of the little check fabric that trims all the cardigans. Every time I put one on I think about how chic that would look. Just got home from a wedding in Hawaii and the black tank dress was the perfect bathing suit cover-up to wear to lunch and I wore a pair of the woven crops with an asymmetrical tank at least every other day. Was hoping the shorts and tops would have been available in time but at least they weren’t sold out when I got back. I did wear the navy floral ones from last year and really liked them with the navy round neck tank. The only other request I have, which may be impossible, is I wonder if there is any way the jewelry photographs could all be grouped together on your site. Frequently I go back and order a piece from an earlier time and it is the dickens to try to locate it using the sneak peeks and trying to remember what you showed it with. As you know, the Q pictures leave a LOT to be desired! As usual thanks for all the gorgeous clothes and the way they make me feel when I wear them. Am really looking forward to receiving my shorts and matching sleeveless tops as its already steaming hot in Houston!

    1. Jules

As soon as I hit send I realized I forgot to say a little shift dress in the check pattern would also be fantastic!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jules….the check “fabric ” you speak of is actually a narrow taffeta ribbon…..so it would be impossible to make clothes out of it…..As for the jewelry shots…..since they are all in separate files it is impossible to put them together, and I just don’t have the time to re-shoot everything as a group……sorry…………..

      1. Cathy in PA

Perhaps a chic little pencil skirt in a coordinating fabric (thinking of the faux herringbone from last year), and a bit of that ribbon check trim on it somewhere … ?

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jules….glad to hear you are loving the lace jacket and the tank dress……..I know the shorts and shirts are going to work out well for you in the Houston heat. Jac wore the black shirt and shorts into the city over the Memorial Day weekend when we went to see the Charles James exhibit…..It was in the 80s and she was very comfortable.

      1. Kate

Funny–I went to that same exhibit over the same holiday weekend and wore the same black shorts with a white tee!

  37. Tylerpoo

    Hi Louis,
Enjoying the ikat print coffee bean skirt/jacket. Other than the coffee bean WK’s ,would the new sand color WK in the 2 for one WK be a good match with the ikat coffee bean set? Thanks for all that you do for us.

  38. designista

Please talk to us about A255153 WK tank and T-shirt combo listed on QVC!

    1. Sherry

Yes, I just saw it too…great colors.

    2. Karen in WA

I saw in your review, you said a fabric had a “dry” hand. For us , not in the know, what does that mean?

      1. designista

A fabric with a dry hand is one that feels dry, cool and non-clingy when running your hand over the fabric. This is especially true for polyesters which in comparison generally have a hot hand that is silky, slippery, wet, clingy and just feels hot when running your hand over the fabric. Even cottons because of dyes and finishes can feel hot. For the real scoop, ask Louis; he’s the master.

  39. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Does your new pebble crepe tunic have a zipper in the back or is it slip-on? Can hardly wait for the tunic and pants to be available!
    Dariann

  40. Toni Fisher

Hi Louis: Your goldtone fish is on the QVC webpage – I just ordered it, it is beautiful and I LOVE the red eye. Yeah.

  41. designista

For the double layered tank A255123, is it lined with self fabric? QVC has only given one bust measurement for the tank and none for the lining. The contents list 100poly for the top and 95poly/5span for the lining?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear designista….the lining is the stretch tricot knit so it is the outside fabric measurement that is most important since is has very little stretch.

      1. designista

        Thank you kind sir!

  42. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thank you Louis for the suggestions as to how to work with sleeves underneath the crushed gauze open front cardigan. I had not thought of the v-neck rayon/span with mesh sleeves. I LOVE that suggestion! My cardi and skirt arrive tomorrow so I’m going to play with this over various solid sleeved light weight items I would love to see the cardi with. And the black with various prints. Meanwhile the tiered crushed gauze top has finally posted at the Q. I was hoping these sets would have some versatility as to pairing with sleeved items. Thanks for the great guidance!

  43. Toni Fisher

Dear Louis: RE: Fish Saw “CS” on QVC’s webpage under my Order Status – called them and they have been holding my “fish pendant” because the expiration date they had on my credit card was “20/15” – of course, it is wrong because I just got other orders delivered today. SO, if the Ladies are in doubt, call Customer Service and make sure they have your info correct. Asked the rep if their customer service reps are smoking weed – this is unbelievable. She said because I had ordered the fish on line, it reversed the numbers. This company is in trouble. Well, it is now shipping.

  44. nikki

Louis, can I please put in a request for a casual black jacket, something like the denim jacket or even a motto jacket in light fabric for the summer. I know you just sold the blazer in black I was looking for something less formal. THankyou

  45. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Happy to see you style the Sky Blue tee with the Sky Blue Crushed Gauze top. I had been wondering if I could wear any of my tops which have sleeves with the Crushed Gauze Open Front Cardigans. Would say there are limitations on that possibility?

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Sorry Louis. Didn’t mean to be obscure. Are the sleeves on the crushed gauze open front cardigans too see-through to wear long sleeves or short sleeves or elbow-length sleeved tops underneath them?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….I don’t think so. Do you own the button front asymmetric hem shirt in the same fabric?

          1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

No I don’t own that Louis. I’ve envisioned being able to wear this crushed gauze open front cardigan with things like – say in either white or in black – the v-neck animal print tops with 3/4 sleeves. Or with colored top I own with short sleeves or with elbow sleeves. But if you think there is too much see-through to have contrasting color tops under these with sleeves – of any length, I’ll readjust my expectations of how to utilize this skirt and cardigan set.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….I really had only envisioned the jacket over sleeveless pieces, because I thought of it as a answer to the hottest weather…but I tried the black over the Twig hydrangea print and I thought it looked very pretty….Yes you can see the print through the fabric, but it looked veiled and had a pretty effect. Solid color wasn’t a problem under the black. As for the white I did not care for the print under it, but a special print may work. I d prefer solid colors under the white. The V-neck rayon/span with the mesh sleeves, in white or black, also looks great with the cardigans.

  46. Kate

LDO–went to the Charles James exhibit at the Met this weekend. Spectacular! Have you been?

  47. Sherry

I missed PM Style and wanted to see the videos of the presentations…looks like only the Lace Jacket was presented??? Thought you should know.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Looks that way to me too….I hope they decide to put it on the June show.

  48. Diane

Are the Posh Knits coming back in more colors in the fall or winter? I especially love the V-neck and the t-neck.

      1. Kate

Oh snap. I was hoping for some navy blue or charcoal grey in this wonderful fabric.

      2. Enjay

I’m disappointed. I lived in the cardigans and scarves this past winter.

      3. Beryl

Sorry to hear that. Posh knit was warmer than any of my 100% cashmeres and so easy to care for. Oh well.

      4. Diane

I am sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to new colors. I have worn the black and raspberry V-neck to death! Like them much better than the Whisper Knits.

        1. Karen in WA

Oh so sad, I love them. And the scarves, so sad

  49. TourEiffel

Dear Louis — Check out the Q’s Americana fashions page. Your beautiful Sophia dress in berry is featured in the cover photo, paired with a Joan Rivers stars and stripes scarf. Lovely look! Happy Memorial Day!

    1. Goldie76

Sharp eyes, TourEiffel. I completely missed that one. That’s the Sophia!

  50. Susan Gosman

I just attempted to look for the shorts, A214313, and was directed to a Denim & Co. top!

    1. Sherry

Susan the # is A254313…you can always search for Linea and it will bring everything up. Or go under the Fashion tab and click on the Linea shop. I love the shorts…have 2 colors.

      1. Susan Gosman

        Thanks, Sherry! Found them.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Did I goof again….I really am terrible with numbers…I usually right them backwards!

  51. Kate

The tile print pieces are spectacular by the way. I ordered magenta and upon receipt immediately doubled back for the marigold.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Wait till you see the SPECIAL WK TANK that’s coming to coordinate with these skirts……4 fabulous colors…..don’t worry one is black, but I think you will love the color……..sexy!!

      1. Kate

This summer or later toward fall? Would the marigold work with your topaz suede jacket for a seque to fall?

        1. Debbie M.

While on the subject of the tile print tops, can we get this fabric in short sleeve or sleeveless for next summer? I love how they pack for travel.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m doing it this season in solid colors…..to go with the crushed gauze pieces, SKY BLUE, BLACK & WHITE…..and….the front of the white is doubled!

            1. Debbie M.

As usual you are a step ahead of me! Thank you!

        2. Sherry

Will the Marigold work with the Walnut suede jacket if not the Topaz? I like that idea Kate…that Marigold has been speaking to me every time I look to see if anything new has been posted…enabler!!! LOL.

        3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….I checked it out and…..not only does it work with the Marigold it works with the Cobalt and Magenta!….Clever girl you are….that’s what I call making a wardrobe work for you.

          1. upallnight1

I didn’t even think of that! Thank you, Louis and Kate! Now I’m even happier that I already ordered the marigold and the magenta tile skirts. I already have so many things to go with both, including the magenta tank, magenta lace cardi, the chocolate kimono and the black and chocolate short sleeve whisper knits, and the black and white sheer armed, long sleeve tees. I never thought about pairing them with the topaz suede jacket, or the topaz whisper knits or my topaz, wool blend blazer. I’ll be spending a lot of time in Florida next winter, so I’m also looking forward to the tanks, especially one in that beautiful marigold. Sherry, the marigold “spoke” to me, too! LOVE the color combination on that what. I hear the song Happy whenever I look at it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….I really don’t know….it really depends on the $$$$…forget the posh knit….it would be so expensive and the selling was only fair…..again, $$$$$$. The new crushed gauze top really has this look…not quite as extreme. It would have to be sold in petite sizing which means double the buy, and for a top like this I doubt they would want to invest the money…..but if I can find a yarn that would be cost effective [I can’t believe I’m using that sentence! LOL]…I’ll do a sketch for next fall which will have the best chance of it going through.I’m sure they only ordered 100-150 pieces of the DK sweater. In that price range you can order that low of a quantity especially when you are ordering other styles to meet the yarn minimums.

      1. Kate

I appreciate your patience with my eternal requests. I wear your swing cardigan from last fall all the time (can’t wait for the new black) but a longer one would be so wonderfully cozy.

        1. Goldie76

Agreed. How lucky we are to have Louis and the Linea line. I have some in-built money-checker, and I just will not pay beyond a certain point for clothing and (most) jewelry (depends on circumstances, of course). Don’t get me wrong, even as a young woman I liked to shop the higher-end stores, but I typically waited for sales then and practice that approach now. It is just this mechanism in me that calls off a transaction to a halt if it is too costly. (By the way, I am not considered to be especially thrifty, but I have my own code that I follow, I guess.)

          1. Goldie76

Should have had that second cup of coffee. This message was to be pinned as a follow-up to the one below from Sherry.

          2. Sherry

I’m with ya Sis…ditto on the we are lucky to have Louis and the Linea line…I love fashion, but shopping on SS disability check has it’s limitations…LOL. I have to really think things through to make sure I will be buying something that will not just set in my closet and look good…so appreciate the sneak peaks so that we have all the information ahead of time so that we can make informed buying decisions.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Well let me put it this way….the DK cardigan COAT was over $2000, mine will never shine a candle to that, but I’ll see what I can do….I think you will be very happy with what is coming for fall.

          1. Sherry

I have to recover from Spring/Summer first…LOL…But, Fall is my favorite time of year and I can hardly wait to add to the few pieces that I purchased last year. I am quite sure we will be pleased…you keep blowing me away with the color combinations and beautiful designs season after season…not to sound greedy…but, I can hardly wait to see what next season has in store for all of us. Thank you for sharing your talent with us through QVC, makes our lives so much easier to have a wardrobe that mix and matches from season to season. Did you get to have a hotdog yet? Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

That DK Cardigan Coat is very cool…I seem to like the same things Kate does…that coat is a beaut…maybe the longest part just a bit shorter??? to make it more wearable? Thank goodness your price will never compare to theirs!!!

        3. upallnight1

Me, too, Kate. I bought the swing cardi in ivory, red and pewter. It’s elegant and comfy at the same time. I’m looking forward to a black. A longer length ivory would be lux.

    2. Sherry

WOW, can’t believe my eyes on those prices…I must live in another world in SW Kansas…how do people afford to spend that kind of money on clothing??? I realize the cost of living is different in different parts of the States and salaries are adjusted likewise, but, geeeesssh!!! LOL.

  52. Beryl

    Louis,
Any chance of the BOHO skirt coming back in white?

  53. TexasBarb

    Louis,

I don’t believe we’ve seen the tiered shell, A255123. Do you have any idea if it is in house at QVC yet? Hoping it gets posted soon.

    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes it’s in the warehouse. I have no idea why some are posted and some styles aren’t…..It’s all a mystery to me.

  54. Beachbird

Louis… regarding the cap sleeve top. The blue color runs! I washed both the blue and black with my medium colored garments in cold water and had a blue dye bleed. If I had even thought there might be a dye bleed concern, I would have washed it with dark colors. The black was absolutely fine. Ladies, please be aware this could happen and plan accordingly. I love the fit and comfort of the top and wore the black yesterday in 80 degree weather and was quite comfortable.

    1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

I had the same problem. The first time I washed the blue in cold on gentle, exactly as the care label directs (and no detergent) – I had a real mess. Thankfully I washed the blue alone. But the next morning I discovered a large ring of blue gooey dye all around the washer tub which I had to mop off with toilet paper since I didn’t want to ruin a sponge or towel. Then my hands had blue dye issues for about a day after scrubbing them vigorously. I admit that I worry it may rub off onto light colored upholstery and possibly onto white toppers and jackets. I also noticed tiny thread breakages after the washing where tiny blue or red dots appear on the fabric. Looking through a magnifying glass in my sewing room I realized I can see my finger nail through these tiny holes from the opposite side of the fabric. I’m watching the material very carefully to see if the tiny dots of blue or red will “grow”. I can see that it is thread breakage but it’s so tiny, I’m hoping it does not compromise the fabric.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

By the way, since I purchased both the top and bottom of the set, I found that the skirt sustained more of that tiny thread breakage than the top. Less fabric weight to pull around in the gentle wash cycle is my guess. This is a separate issue from the bleeding blue dye though since it occurred on both blue, “black” and red. 3rd problem I had with the fabric is that it absolutely has to be pressed (NOT a hot iron) or steamed. It wrinkles pretty badly. I couldn’t even hang the sets in the closet with other clothing because they wrinkle so badly – even just from any pressure of clothes hanging near by. This was before that first wash as well as after that first wash. I did not put this information into a review because there was no evidence that anyone else was having a problem but posted and discussed it on the Q Linea blog. Final problem I had with my sets is that all three skirts did not have the elastic sewn down so that it flipped and flopped around in the casing something awful until I sewed a seam through the center of it around the waistband – like the bohos have on them. I sincerely hope others don’t have these problems. I made the decision to keep the sets because I badly need summer dresses and at 5’7″, and someone who likes her skirts to be well past the knee – these were to be my column of color “dress-like” options for the summer.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….I understand all of your comments and I have passed them to my manufacturer. There seems to me to be two problems here if I understand all that you have said. On the manufacturing side…it’s the elastic not being secured so it doesn’t twist…..I can tell you I own enough pull-on pants from Nike and such that cost beaucoup bucks, and when that happens it drives me crazy. I usually instruct my manufacturer to put a stitch through the center around the entire waist band to prevent it, but when I saw the first sample and the fit model liked the cleanliness of it, we left it as is not thinking it would be a problem…..The second problem seems to be the fabric. First I can tell you my manufacturer, according to QVCs’ strict guide lines, spends thousands of dollars a year doing all sorts of testing on the fabrics, so for you to have these bleeding problems is a shock to me. Has this occurred after the second washing too? As you can see from the fabric it is so pale in the first place that to have so much dye come out of it is extraordinary. As for the tiny holes, again these fabrics go through so much testing which are QVC requirements, that I have no answer but to speak to the fabric supplier. I have gotten many beautiful fabrics from this company before, and have never had a problem. As for the wrinkling. My samples come in the same plastic bags yours do. I rarely steam or press the clothes before I photograph them….just too time consuming LOL, but honestly I did not have the problems you are having at all. A knit fabric made of RAYON/POLYESTER and SPAN should definitely not have these wrinkling problems you speak of. This is like the perfect blend of yarns I truly don’t understand it……I can assure you if we had noticed any of these problems during the manufacturing process we would not have gone further with this fabric. There have been fabrics in the past that my manufacturer and I have decided for one reason or another not to go forward with even when the order was passed. We never want o have this kind of problems with anything we sell. There was no crocking on the hands while sewing and handling the fabric and no unreasonable wrinkling while sewing. Every sample I saw looked perfect. Of course this is all after the fact and doesn’t help your problem, but I don’t know what else we could have done to prevent this from happening. As I said the fabric passed all of the tests…..I know you have decided to keep it, but I feel if you are that unhappy with the pieces you should return them and wait for something you like better. I know you are a loyal customer and I hate to hear when one of my ladies is having trouble with one of my products.

          1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thanks so much for the reply Louis. I’m agonizing over returning the item because 1. I washed it and 2. I sewed the waist band down. You are right it was driving me CRAZY having that elastic twist around in the waist band casing. I don’t know what to say other than I’ve worked with fabrics my entire life in sewing for myself and alterations for others and my experience with this fabric in the sets I received is exactly as I’ve described it. I agree that the “pale” nature of the coloration left me totally unprepared for the hemorrhage of blue dye. It was pretty stunning since I cannot recall a Linea garment in the past that I ever had a bleeding problem with. I carefully examined the fabric before washing it. It was too wrinkled upon arrival not to try something so I opted to try the cold gentle wash. (To answer your question, I have not dared to wash it twice.) Fold lines in the garment would not release with a warm iron so washing seemed the next logical step. Having examined the fabric first, made it pretty easy to see the tiny thread breakages once the garment had been washed and air dried. I will continue to try to figure out what I should do on this end. I’m pretty sure I disposed of the original packaging but I admit to worrying if the fabric will make it through the season vis a vis the thread breakage here and there on the skirts.

            1. Debbie M

I only purchased all 3 tops. I have not yet washed them but I use the shout color catchers, so I am not worried about collars running. Mine were wrinkled and I ironed them (I iron everything) with a hot steam iron and they were fine. Just wanted to relate my experience with the fabric.

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

From my understanding the only problem has been with the blue. You wouldn’t think from looking at them there would be enough color in them to cause a problem, but looks can be deceiving.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beachbird, I thank Nancy and you for bringing this to my attention. I honestly have no good answer to this! If all of the fabrics I use weren’t tested for this type of thing, all according to QVC’s requirements, then I could understand it, but they are…..so…how this fabric could have passed the tests is beyond me!! PLEASE let me know after a second and third washing if this keeps occurring. I have already let my manufacturer know, but honestly it is not her fault. Once the fabric gets tested, which costs thousands of dollars for each test, and it passes, my manufacture proceeds with the production…..The costs of these tests are really getting crazy so for this to happen after the testing is done is infuriating. All I can say is if you are very unhappy and do not want to go through the trouble…please return the garments. Life should be EASIER…not more difficult….I truly understand…..I am so sorry for this upset.

      1. Beryl

        Louis,
The first time I wore the black set I spilled salad dressing on it. Needless to say I was very angry. I treated the top and skirt with Shout ran it through the washer on cold. The I put them in the drier for about 10 minutes. Came out as good as new. No problems here.Love this fabric.
        Beryl

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl…god to hear you haven’t had a problem with this fabric….watch out for those salad dressings!Take it from one who knows!!

      2. Beachbird

Not to worry.I am a sewing professional; designed and made custom wedding gowns for many years. I am familiar with crocking and dye bleeds and will most definitely keep the tops and simply wash them with dark colors in the future. The light, sort of chambray color of the blue led me to assume there wouldn’t be a problem washing the tops with medium colored garments. I haven’t experienced any crocking. The problem occurred when the fabric got wet.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have even mentioned this situation, except, I felt I might be able to prevent someone from a worse outcome than mine.
I am not unhappy and contacted you only as a cautionary tale to others, that a dye bleed happened with my blue top.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beachbird….I am so glad you did! I hope all who buy these garments read this so they know how to care for them. Did you get any other color or just the blue. It seams the problem is with the blue only. If not I’d like to hear. As I said to Barbara, who had no problem, Jac hand washed and let them soak to see if the water turned blue but it didn’t??? This is a mystery.

          1. Beachbird

I have the black top also.No problems at all with this one. And, I love it.It is comfortable and attractive, even on an 80 degree day. I think both the blue and black are very versatile and will be major players in my summer wardrobe.
Normally a dye bleed would encompass an entire bolt of fabric, so it is odd that only a few pieces are affected. Odd, but a really good outcome!
I will go soak my blue top in cold water to see what happens.

      3. Barbara C

        Louis,

Thought I would pass along that I just washed the blue top and there was no evidence of any color fading or bleeding.

        Barbara C.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara…..thanks for letting me know….I had Jac wash my samples and nothing happen to mine either. This is a true mystery. I don’t understand how Nancy could have such an extreme opposite experience. I’m afraid there will be no answer to solve this since the factory doesn’t even have an inch of cloth left. I asked for a yard to be sent to us, but it’s gone and since this was cut and sewn months ago there is nothing left.

          1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Just “lucky” I guess 😉 Could mine be from a bolt end? Could the agitation on a gentle cycle be enough to make the bleeding happen? (And to reconfirm – only the blue had the issue.)

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy ….as I said a total mystery…..my samples didn’t bleed in the water, but we soaked them in the sink…..this is a mystery that will never be solved.

  55. donna

every time i look at your new creations i smile at our sisterhood !!! we were the little engines that could when we all called corporate to rant and rave to keep you on air !!! i have met you at bergdorfs years ago when i was on wall street and loved you then,as i do know…there is so much depth to you and your creativity…i just love you louis…you cater, love, respect and value all of us,happy memorial day.donna

  56. Carol

    Dear Louis–
On the subject of jewelry reorders, do you know if they are planning to reorder the wire cuff. I’ve had the gunmetal and choc. on wait list since day one, and am hoping to get them someday.

My pyramid landed today and I love, love, love the new necklaces. The only one I didn’t order was the long black and gold–have some vintage AK that will serve the purpose.

Thanks for all your patience with the impatient Linea Ladies.

    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….my understanding is that the wire cuff will not be reordered due to high returns even though there are none in inventory….I can only guess that the large waiting list ate into whatever returns there were. That’s why stretch bracelets are so popular. Personally I think cuffs like the wire cuff are more expensive looking….Have you ever seen a really good expensive bracelet that stretches? I doubt Tiffany would have a stretch bracelet….LOL….What did anyone do before stretch???

I have a tiny wrist, so they were big on me. I was not giving these eau ties up without a fight so I had someone squeeze them tighter. Perfection…Sorry some could not get them but I have all 4, and believe me I just got the chocolate before it disappeared. Someone I know was in SPAIN, and missed out.

I received my Cotton Sateen Jacket and Pants today…WOW…both are perfectly tailored to me (well, the pants could be a Petite length in the rise). The Jacket sleeves are perfect, although I will wear them cuffed up for the Summer…the Jacket is more fitted than I was expecting, but it fits very nicely. Love the pockets in the pants; they fit very nicely through the hips and down the leg stopping about 1″ above my ankle bone (I’m 5″5″). I also received the Sleeveless shirt and Shorts today. The Sleeveless Shirt is perfection, armholes are perfect, length is perfect, buttons placed perfectly…love the curved buttons that are used on the shirts and shorts. The shorts are a little loose in the waist, but they still fit very nicely through the hips and I love the smaller leg opening on the longer short. Again, thank you for the pockets, and these pockets are big…love it!!! Had already received my T-shirt dresses and have been wearing them…again…perfection…I scored big time this month…everything fit and I absolutely love everything I received. Thank you so much, as I am rebuilding my Linea wardrobe in a new size…and it is starting to look very, very good. Hugs to the both of you, and give some doggie kisses to the girls for me…

Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Short Sleeve Knit Dress with Pockets—this is absolutely a home run! Only able to get one black dress. The Linea Ladies swooped in like sea gulls and gobbled them up. We are smart ladies;) I need more. This dress is in the wash every three days, because I find I just “have” to wear it for this event, client meeting, concert, hanging out with friends, shopping trip… You get the idea, so easy- so simple and amazingly always just right. Louis, please rush another order for us. I’m afraid my dress and the wash machine are having an affair. Oh, so need this in Linea NAVY! Other colors (way after navy) sunshine yellow, coral, coffee bean, red, white, please push for reorder. Hugs to you and Jac.

    Good Morning Louis,

I am trying to plan some days off from work, and I was wondering if you had your July show dates yet. I like to be off on Linea days. Priorities….

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….July is a slow month for apparel….too late for summer and too early for fall….I do have a show on the 10th at 5:00am and here will be three new things that will be terrific transition pieces, though two of them can certainly be worn immediately and the third if it’s not too hot.

      1. Debbie M

Thank You Louis, I could use the break since the cc will be smoking June 5th…Have a great Holiday weekend!

A friend of mine has one of your stunning necklaces from QVC – J284043 Faceted Bead Necklace. I went to purchase this in gray but it is sold out. Will you be bringing more of these back?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Laurie….I double checked and as of now only the black and bronze are under reorder consideration, but that can change.

      1. Laurie

Okay, well I will order the black if I am lucky enough that they reorder. The Q should really read all the reviews. This necklace has all five star reviews. This is obviously an item that is a great seller.

WOW WHAT A FIT on the A254575 jacket! The fabric has such a dry hand it is absolutely spectacular; not at all what I was expecting. You must have mentioned what a dry hand the fabric has, but I missed it. Also received the new knit A254436 shell in the thin stripe; love the weight, texture, and again feel of the dry hand. I prefer a lower neckline in a shell, so I didn’t order when it was first offered. It is a keeper though, and I hope to see more of this rayon/poly/span jersey.

Louis, does the new Feather Jersey dress have a lining? Would you ever consider bringing us another dress in the exact style to the original Feather Jersey Hawaiian floral print maxi dress that sold out so quickly in the past?

I’d LOVE that, and sure others would too. Length wouldn’t have to be a maxi; a midi would work too, to give tall girls the length they need and shorties like me won’t trip over LOL … That was just the best dress … Short sleeves so we didn’t have to alter armholes or wear a shrug in hot weather, FLAT PLEATS rather than gathers front and back for ease and no bulk, those wonderful hidden pockets, and NO lining so cool and comfortable with no seam bulk or irritation; there are many reasons that is a favorite dress for so many of us … Maybe a new print, as the prints hide various sins … Okay, I’m done begging; thanks as ever for listening 🙂 Meanwhile, HAPPILY wearing my floral cottons in all their configurations!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy….no the dress has no lining…would defeat the purpose of the Feather Jersey. I only line it if it absolutely has to…..like prints with a lot of white ground.

      1. Cathy in PA

Good news! I understood why you lined the tie dye dress, but found the unlined Hawaiian print much more comfortable in HOT weather … thanks for the info,

I also really loved the Hawaiian print dress. I have 3 colors, but I have lost weight and would really enjoy having this dress available again. I would especially like the black/ivory, and purple/ivory, and perhaps a turquoise/ivory or red/ivory as new colors in this dress. If not this print perhaps another print in a maxi length dress. I like the print feather jersey. Thanks for listening. And thanks for all the beautiful clothes you design for us.

The pebble crepe crops pants – are they narrow?

Also, a grey narrow crop to match A233187 would be great
    Thanks for all you do

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nj Lady they are not narrow….they have a 25 inch inseam with a 14 inch, 7 inch on the half, opening. They are not quite as wide as the original, but certainly not narrow….I would say trimmer.

  64. designista

The ivory lace jacket A223652 with the linen trim came out exceptionally well! That is one colorway that I was skeptical about; soft colors in lace can often look cheap, but the ivory is gorgeous especially with the linen trim. I have the jacket in other colors so couldn’t post another review on the Q. I think it is my favorite colorway.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I understand what you mean about ivory lace, but for me it looks richer than WHITE. Not that white can’t look good, but the fase fabric has to be really nice or it will look like cheap bridal. Ivory gets away with more.
