    Louis,

You looked so suave on tonight’s show. I wrote on the forum that I enjoyed your attire as much as that of the models.

The show moved beautifully, and your clothing was supremely gorgeous. Those lacy nylons were dynamite. Congrats!

  2. Claudine Duval

Hi Louis ,This is my first time emailing you with a request I am watching the 8/18 show and you said email and you will reply so here we go—-I totally love your jackets /blazers and I was wondering if you plan on coming out with a walnut or hunter green blazer- I would so love those colors PLEASE DO ! Thanks Claudine in CT

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Claudine, first…..welcome to my web home. At the moment I don’t any jackets in those colors coming, but I have noted your request. As I say to all the Requests made, I can’t make any promises, but I will remember.

  3. Cindy

Are you able to make any more of the red leather jacket that was recently featured on QVC for this season? It was such a perfect shade of red and unfortunately my size sold out quickly!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cindy…..a style is never brought back within the season. The only chance you have is a return….or maybe a reorder for next year, but not this year….that never happens.

  4. Shari

    Hi Louis

    Fashion question.
What is your take on wearing a shootie with the Boho skirt?. (black boho)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s fine with an opaque Linea Body black tight!…LOL

      1. Shari

Answer didn’t go where it was supose to
        It’s below

  5. Chris/Jazzmom

Does the olive shawl work well with the moss green woodblock dress?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry….I’ll have to check when I’m back home.

    2. Shari

Thankyou, Louis, thats what I thought.
I’ll use the Linea tights I purchased.
      I LOVE THEM!!!

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…I had a chance to look at the olive shawl with the dress. The dress is a bright olive with brown. The shawl is a dark olive, so the colors certainly do not match. If you are looking for a match then I would say no…but if you are looking for a color that will just work over the dress, then I would say yes. I would certainly show them together….The olive shawl is a much better alternative to black.

Just told my Daughter that I have a Personal Designer who answers all my questions, gives advice and is just a very nice young man who cares about what I wear and how it may look on me. Patiently looking forward to the show on Monday and Tuesday.

We are so lucky to have you.

    Thanks Louis

  7. NJ Lady

    Thanks Louis,
I ordered the ponte knit pants – I’ll let you know
I also was able to pick up the purple whisper knit that sold out (one time only last time) and the matching tank.
Thanks and can’t wait for tomorrow

  8. Jeanie

Hi Louis, how does the raspberry shawl play with the aubergine?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not so much to any of them. They are almost the same darkness but the colors are off so it just isn’t right for me. Maybe if the contrast were stronger, but they all look mis- matched. I prefer the raspberry more as an accent then trying to match or create a tonal look that really doesn’t work

        1. Thanks, Louis! I like these “flower” colors with some of the greens which don’t look good right under my face.

  9. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
I need help with the new ponte pants listed today.
I am normally a medium BUT in the whisper knit pants, I took a small, in the Boho skirt, a small, in the printed crops
    A253573 an size 8.
I have long legs and no behind – weight in the middle

    What size do you suggest???

Also, do I hang or fold the whisper knit pants
    Thanks for all your help

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJ Lady….the easy question first…I would not hang the WK pant by the clips. If you want to hang fold over a hanger with the horizontal bar….best if it’s padded to avoid fold mark. I know some hang the pant and have found it to be OK, but it is a weighty fabric when hung and I am afraid, over time, they will stretch and you will have a low crotch in the pant.
The new super ponte pant has lots of stretch so it depends how you want them to fit. She which waist size works best for you. I think the measurement of the pant should be a little smaller than your body measurements so they can stretch. You don’t want them big….they are a legging.

    2. NJ Lady

      Help me decide Please

      My hips are 41″
      My waist is 35″

The measurements of whisper knits pants are the same – and waist was fine in those
As long as the waist has lots of stretch & doesn’t cinch me in
the small hips are 39 and medium is 41.5

Thank you for your help – need to buy before they sell out

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you are going to make me choose…I would go for the smaller size.

  10. queendiva

    Hello Louis,
Item A230030, your rayon/span long sleeve V-neck top is one of my all-time favorite Linea items, and from my Linea wardrobe collected over the past ten or so years, that’s saying a lot! It’s away for the summer, but for most of the year it’s worn at least once a week. Love the style and knit fabric of this top and would love to see it featured again soon. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s the same rayon/span I use in the solids from the same fabric mill. It may feel different due to the printing.

      1. queendiva

Thank you. I will look through the inventory to see what I can add to my wardrobe in this fabric. I do love the style of that top!

  11. Enjay

I’m with Kate … that funnel-neck sweater is swoon-worthy! Also, I’m a little obsessed by the flame stitch pieces in the hunter. I’m abandoning my usual “no prints, mostly neutrals” thing in a flash for those pieces! And trying to decide if I should also get the WK V-neck or side-button tunic in hunter, to wear with the skirt.

    1. Kate

Enjay–I’m a print-phobe and ordered all 4 pieces of the flame stitch!

  12. Kate

The shawl! The funnel neck sweater! OMG. Just add WK pants or skirt for a true movie star, landed-gentry, “I own the company” look. I ordered all colors of both.

When’s the poncho coming? How about the new turtleneck? Care to share your secrets?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I know you will be wearing and draping the shawl with more flare than the model in the QVC photo!…..The poncho/sweater…..how did you know….or are you guessing ….or is it gODFREAKo again…..later this season….Oct.

      1. Kate

Yes, GF sneak from months ago. I’m so excited about the OLIVE shawl, by the way. Your olive greens are among the few I can wear.

  13. Saphira

    Louis,
Your Fall collection is lovely – and I’m trying so hard to be good! Here’s my question: does the Petrol sweater go with A255179 Tile Print Skirt in cobalt? I’m guessing not but the color on my monitor is poor so I’m asking the Source. Can’t wait to order the new Super Ponte Knit pants, they will be perfect for our three seasons of rain!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Saphira…the cobalt and the petrol do not look good together. The petrol is to green for the cobalt which has a purple tint. However, The boucle cardigan, A239320 in the Bright Blue or Mango both look very good with the tile print skirt. It is a very Eileen Fisher looking sweater. Some think from the look of it it is very delicate, but that’s just the “look” of it. It is actually a very strong yarn. I love the look of the print and the boucle together. I will be showing these sweaters on my 6pmn show.

  14. Carol

Louis, what does ENR mean? Also, wanting to order the long Ponte Jacket, but don’t know if I should get the 8 or the 10. I took a Small in your jacket with asemeteical zipper last year, but a Med in your tweed blazer last year. I am size 10 at brick and mortar stores. Gets very confusing. I have been ordering two sizes on most everything and have to ship one back! If I take a chance on a size and it is wrong, quite often cannot get again in another size as they sell out so fast.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….ENR is a term used for a certain knitting construction. It literally means EVERY NEED RIB, another term is called “full needle” for the same construction.

  15. Jane

Hi Louis, Question about the fit of the new Zip Front Cardigan (which is now up on QVC.com). The Click Here SWEEP measurement seems very small compared to other WK sweaters. I usually size down in WKs, but this sweep measurement makes me a little nervous about doing that. Any advice about the fit on this new cardigan would be appreciated. Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The bottom is ribbed and has a lot of stretch. Rib areas will always have a smaller measurement do not size up….buy what you always buy and you will be fine….otherwise it will be toooooo BIG.

      1. Jane

        Thanks, Louis, for the info.

  16. Pamela

    Dear Louis:

Just ordered A257380 – WK Zip front Cardi. Take a look @ Q photo – sleeves appear very long. Can you cuff the ribbing if need be?

    TIA

      1. Pamela

Good – always push UP my sleeves ‘anyways’ to get down with business-LoL!

Need replacement zip-up styles for my old beloved wool ones. What better way than with a WK!

  17. Fashion1

Question – Does the super ponte legging/pant in taupe go with the A251578 WK Boyfriend Cardigan in taupe? Fingers crossed!!!

    Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I checked and they are not exact, but close…definitely tonal …so YES you can wear them together.

      1. Fashion1

Thanks so much for checking. Tonal works for me!!! Can’t wait to order them.

  18. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, just a quickie on the new Zip Front WK cardigan now posted at the Q. Puzzling a minute over the measurements and hoping this sweater has a lot of stretch to it. Would you say that it does?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….remember rib measurements are always small because of the stretch factor. If they were the measurement of your body they would be baggy on you.Buy your normal WK size even if you wear the matching tank.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

        Understood! Thank you for that.

  19. Pat

    Hi louis,

I am so happy to see the super ponte jacket is now available for order. I have been checking daily ever since the godfreako sneak peak. In all of the jackets I have purchased from your line, I always order the medium. The fit has been perfect for me. The dilemma on this jacket is the choice between
The size 8 or size 10. In store bought clothing I wear a size ten, but sometimes in qvc sizing I wear a size 8. Is the jacket cut full or more fitted? Any advice is so appreciated.

    Thank you

    1. Pat

Also wanted to mention when trying to check the size charts it did not help the mediums chest area in the ponte jackets I purchased in the past were in the 41 to 41.5 range for size medium, while the small seem to be closer to 39″. In this super ponte the size 8 is 41″ and the 10 is 42″ .. Help??

      1. Debbie

        Pat,
        I have the same question.

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s unlined so I think the small should be fine….you won’t be wearing anything heavier than a WK sweater

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pat…..First let me say…I really don’t like to give “fit” advice because everyone likes their clothes to fit differently. What may be big on some fits perfectly on others even thought they take the same size. I want to say if you always take a med. then you should take a med. If you have a fuller bust…then take a med. If you plan on layering under it then take a med…..I will also say that it is unlined and the fabric has a lot of stretch, but it is a sturdy fabric and holds it’s shape. From what I read the general opinion is that the clothes usually run on the big side so it really is hard for me to give this kind of advice especially not knowing what you look like. Check out the shoulder and hip measurement and compare them to jackets you own. I hope I haven’t confused you more.

    3. Sherry

Would it be possible for Jac to try on the sample and let us know what size it is and if that is her reg size and how it fits overall??? Pretty please…

  20. Seka

FYI – Super Ponte Jacket – and the Flame Stitch Top – available on the Q NOW!

  21. Mimi

Hi Louis! I hope all is well with you, Jac and your dogs.. I just received your pull on slim pant in the xxs. They fit well but I would still like a tighter leg in a pant with a more narrow opening at the ankle. I am 5’3 and weigh 108. I know it is hard to cater to everyone. I read about your new super ponte legging/pant A257338. When will you be presenting that item? Thanks again!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They will be on the 18th on the 6:00pm show

  22. TexasBarb

I’m looking under the Important Dates and wondering if there is a typo. Should the August show that is at 6 am be August 19th instead of August 18th as it currently shows?

I don’t want to miss a show and I know I am not alone. 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes…. The 6:00am show is on the 29th!

  23. Judy

Hi Louis, for all of us that are excited about the new super ponte knit longer jacket but concerned about the matching 28inch pants, how would A237394 ponte knit pull on pants look together? I realize they are different fabric but would it look too mis-matched?

    1. Maia

And will any other taupe pants be a available this season?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

No this is it for taupe….there will be stone gab pants, but that’s a grayer color.

        1. Maia

Thank you for replying so quickly, Louis! Based on your answer to Judy, I’ll wear jeans and my gray and black ponte pants from last year with the taupe jacket. I ordered the reordered navy and walnut pants Judy referred to this year, so I’ll try those, too. I’ll also try the black and walnut WK pencil skirts (the 27″ ones – perfect length for me!).

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…these jackets should be thought of as “sportswear ” items and it is not necessary to wear as “pant suits”. Jeans would be perfect I woulds certainly put the ponte gray, and black pant with the Taupe as well as the whisper knit pant. Same for the black jacket.

  24. A LaCroix

Do you still make men’s suits? My husband has a fabulous navy suit by you and we are wanting to find another in black.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No I don’t. I only did men’s clothes for Sy Syms, who was a dear friend. When he died his daughter closed the stores, so I no longer do men’s clothing.

  25. Dodie

Hi Louis: can’t wait for the “super ponte”, especially as I just wore my “Ninotchka” jacket last night….perfect for So. Cal. Summer nights on the coast… And it is as perfect as the day I got it. It’s the pumpkin-copper-terra cotta color, forgot what is was called. Wish I had gotten the black and every other color it came in. Also recently wore the washed silk safari type shirt in the olive and also have the tan color. Those have also withstood the test of time (far better than I have, I must say!!). My third piece(s) I still wear are the suede jackets with the contrasting embroidery….have the cocoa with the blue and green with the purple. Wish so much I had taken advantage of the luscious silks/ suedes you were able to use “back then”!! Would have bought all of everything! Also still have the long sleeve silk shirts in white and turquoise. Love all that I was able to purchase then, and the pieces I’m stock-piling now…such foresight and wisdom you possess, to fashion items that worked ten years ago and are still perfect today. Thanks, and (please) don’t think of retiring!

  26. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

    Hi Louis,
I am looking at purchasing some new pieces in green and am wondering how the different greens play together, if at all. What is the difference between Forest Green, Spruce Green, and Hunter Green? Are they just different tones and play together, or do they really not work well together at all? Then on top of that I’m wondering if my Malachite leather jacket from last year works with any of the above shades? Can you lend your expert opinion? Thanks!

    Susan

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

My Hunter green and Forest green are yellow based greens and can work together ….better if one is much darker than the other. Spruce green and malachite are blue based greens and do not look good with yellow based greens…in general.

  27. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, I am in LOVE with this new long whisper knit skirt in Black. I tried my regular Linea skirt size and it seemed a little bit baggy on me. I went down one size and holy smokes ~ Shazam! ~ and call the Fire Department!!! Smoking hot! I’ve now ordered multiples. I don’t EVER want to be without this skirt!

If it makes it to “reorder” status ~ my vote is for this skirt in dark Linea Navy, deep rich Hunter Green, and a deep dark walnut. And maybe a rich Aubergine just for fun! 😉

  28. Jennifer

    Hi Louis,
I like the look of the WK pant to go with my WK sweaters but am wondering if the slimmer leg is flattering on pear shapes as opposed to a trouser or boot-cut leg. Thanks for your help.

    Jennifer

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

So far…I think the ladies who are similar in shape to you would say yes, but it’s best to pose that question to them. Have you read the reviews, both for petites and reg. I think a slim leg is always more flattering than a boot cut unless you are very tall and the boot cut pant is very long. Trouser cut or straight leg works for everyone.

      1. andrea

I’m an hourglass but have a little extra in the thighs. I look best in straight leg but the wk work also because of the drape. Bootcut is the least flattering. But I think this is because I have a very long torso and short legs. I’m 5’2′ but can’t wear petite pants or petite dresses with a real waist. The book by Bradley Bayou on what is the most flattering for different body shapes is excellent. A friend was reading it at my home and said she wasn’t giving it back to me; I’d have to pry it from her cold dead hands. I bought it for Xmas presents that year. I think it’s the only book he wrote so you should be able to find it.

        1. andrea

The title is: “The Science of Sexy.” There are some available for 2.65 in very good condition.

          1. andrea

            on Amazon.

  29. Terri (TexasMom1)

    Good afternoon Louis!
With the reorder of the ponte knit pants in regular length (A237394), will this pant be available in petite length?
    Many thanks!

    Terri

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t remember, but if they originally came in petite than they will again

  30. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, I’m trying to remember….is there a hunter WK turtleneck coming out in the coming months, as well as the new v-neck in hunter?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Nancy there will be five Hunter green sweaters in total this season. The side button tunic, and the V-neck are already avail…plus the pant….then the Turtleneck….then the cardigan and in Jan a short sleeve shell.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

        Happy Sigh!!!! 🙂

      2. Sherry

There will definitely be some Linea Ladies “Seeing Green” this year…chuckle, chuckle…LOL…

  31. queendiva

    Hello Louis,
A suggestion for Fall, 2015: I would love to see a mock neck full break away zip front sweater, preferably in the ENR knit, or your divine WK. Great for outdoor wear in fall, then for an extra layer worn indoors in winter. Pockets would, of course, be awesome! Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sounds good….ENR is Whisper Knit yarn just not a jersey knit.

  32. Debra

    Dear Louis,
That raspberry sweater and pin look fabulous!! Hope that you will fill us in on these sophisticated pieces very soon.

I wear a 1x in the draped and pieced cardigan. I have worn your black poly/rayon/span long skirt SO many times this season (I was never able to get a second, sold out). Is the WK skirt suitable for plus sized women? I have always avoided sweater skirts for the very obvious reasons of what they accentuate.

    thanks,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra….I certainly hope so. You will probably need to wear spanx….who doesn’t? Also, look at the measurements for the hip. You will want it on the easy side, not tight, and then there should be a problem. You will wear tops over it anyway and I think the top will be key…..like my draped front cardi….nothing too short or fitted

      1. Happy Lady

Just a little factoid…Saw Beyoncé in a interview last night and she stated she wear four pairs of Spanx to keep it all tight and small. Talk about painful!! Just thinking about it makes me gasp for air!

        1. Carol

Do NOT try this at home! I read that years ago and so I tried to put on two pairs and nearly gave myself a heart attack. Professional dressers might be able to make this work, but it cannot be done by oneself. Just a little warning to the wise.

        2. Mary K

Losing weight is easier! I refuse to wear spanx!

  33. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

So glad to learn that the new earrings will be available in both clip and pierced. I, like Debbie, can’t wear the clip version.

  34. BCM

    Hi Louis,

Will A239321 pk leggings in heather grey work with the new charcoal grey tn in a tonal way? I realize the tn is much darker, but hoping it will coordinate for that column of color we love so much. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Yes…they look great together

  35. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

After feasting the eyes on that beautiful ivory collared sweater (and beautiful pin) I’d like to put in a request right now for the new long Whisper Knit skirt in a reorder in IVORY!!!! 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m afraid it may be slightly see through even in the ENR construction….and if not see through it would show the line of the body very clearly.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Darn. It SOUNDS so much like a dream outfit! Thanks for dashing my hopes swiftly!!! Oh well, so much beauty to wear in jillions of other colors and styles. 🙂

      2. jmarie

Maybe the ivory drop waist skirt of a couple of years ago would make a similar look? Sorry, I don’t have it here for a #, but it was part of the suit that came in red and navy, too.

        1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Are you thinking of the faux crepe de chin skirt ~ A232346? I don’t know which suit you are referring to as in red and navy color ways.

          1. jmarie

Nancy, it was a poly crepe, but not a crepe de chin–though maybe that one would work, too. It was a Spring suit, I believe, with gold signature buttons. Was also featured on QVC UK. It’s not on the web-site anymore, but it does turn up on ebay occasionally.

            1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Thanks jmarie 🙂 I’m sure I won’t be locating that particular skirt any time soon. But I’m going to try my WK turtle in ivory by that crepe de chin skirt to see if I think I can do a lighter weight skirt like that with an ENR WK. Greatly appreciate the suggestion!

    2. Happy Lady

HI Nancy, I learned my lesson with ivory knit skirts. Years ago,I purchased a St. John ivory knit skirt. I had on all the necessary under armor (panty hose before Spanx). Thought I looked fabulous (at least from the front). Saw a professional flash picture of me standing in a group from the back and never wore that long ivory knit skirt again without wearing a longer jacket. There would be so many returns it would probably be a record for the Q. You have to have a body like Jac’s without a smidgen of cellulite. If you do, kudos!

  36. Yoko

I received the Aubergine wk skirt & tights. They are lovely. Will there be any Aubergine wk sweaters that go with the Aubergine skirt this season? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I offered aubergine sweaters in the past. I will only have the reorder V-neck this season that’s avail now.

  37. Debbie B

Hi Louis, Are your shrimp earrings available in pierced? clip? both. I need pierced, I know you can adjust the clip, but they just don’t work for me. Would love to see your large hoops available in pierced.
Thank you for all you go for us.

    1. Debbie B

Boy do I need to re-read before I post. I meant “thank you for all you DO for us”.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….I believe they are just clip, but I’ll check. Even though they are half the size of the bold hoop, we felt they were too large and maybe too heavy for pierced and would pull the lobe down. The Bold Hoop is just clip, I’ll check on the other.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie…I just heard back and the new earring will be avail in both clip and pierced.

        1. Debbie B

Yeah!! Thank you, Thank you. Now if you could make the Bold hoop pierced, I would buy all the colors. You can never have too many hoops.

  38. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Sorry Louis. I think you answered this. Reread all your text on the flame prints and I’m assuming that the flame print top in hunter must coordinate with the sunburst pleated skirt in tarragon ~ if it goes perfectly with the tarragon leather which I don’t own.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…sorry it took so long to answer…I couldn’t find anything in tarragon but the pleated skirt. Even thought the greens are different, I think you can wear them together. To my eye the leather jacket is a little deeper, but still tarragon. It is the nutmeg color in the hunter flame stitch that makes them work together.

  39. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, might the hunter green flame stitch pieces work with any of our tarragon pieces from last year or so?

  40. Pecan Cookie

This Fall Collection is fab. Thanks for these wonderful separates. What are the colors for the ENR buttoned cardigan? The zipped cardi is already on the list, and the HG buttoned card is on the list, so I wonder if there is another color in this buttoned style I should contemplate? Many thanks!! Hope you and Jac are having a wonderful weekend!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I kno there is black, navy hunter green and brick red…I think there is one more but can’t remember what it is?…I can tell you it’s no nutmeg or petrol blue.

      1. Pecan Cookie

Perfect! Thank you much for taking time from your day to reply.

  41. Sherry

I know there is a Stone WK Skirt coming…is there by chance a DK Gray/Charcoal WK Skirt on the way as well?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No not this season…just the reorder of the gray heather ponte skirt that I showed with the Royal Purple sweater and tank.

I answered a question you asked re the wk pants but it disappeared.I told you I loved all three pair and ordered the SP, which I will shorten. I’m 5’2″ but very long waisted. This is the first EVER (anywhere)petite pant I ordered;I measured very carefully I only wear flats. I expect to shorten all pants and was not the least bit disappointed. I’m a perfectionist about fit; the seamstress I see used to work at the bridal shop Priscilla of Boston back in the day.

Green is one of my best colors. I bought a lot of your malachite last year and now H.G. It can be years before green is popular again; I’m stocking up! I collect malachite jewelry so I’m all set.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Andrea….I am so glad you are able to make the pants work for you…..I don’t know why but sometimes questions asked of me disappear or don’t even show up on my site. I ‘m glad you took the time to repost.

  43. Linda

Hello Louise. This is my first post. I want to say that I have been buying your lovely clothing line for about 3 years now. I wear something Linea everyday, and always receive compliments from co-workers and friends. I do have a question about the Burgundy pearls. The pearls on the strand I just received look brown, although the knotting thread is burgundy. Is that the proper color for these pearls? Or did I receive a strand that is a bit off in terms of color? They are pretty, and I may keep them. But I was expecting something with a bit more red in it. I look forward to your Fall line. It looks gorgeous so far. Thank you so much.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Linda…welcome to my website. The color of the pearls you received are correct. If you own anything in the aubergine color you will see how burgundy they look when worn together. When you put them on a brown like my Walnut Wk they will really look burgundy…they look great on navy, black, gray and many colors….let me know what you think once you start playing with them on different colors.

      1. Linda

Louis, Thank you for your quick response. I did put the pearls on the walnut, navy and gray WK sweaters. They do indeed look burgundy. I need to get some aubergine in my wardrobe too. So I will be keeping these for sure, especially as I think they will look great with the new flame stitch top and skirt. Thanks again, and have a great weekend.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Linda you are 100% correct…they look great with the flame stitch pieces!

      1. Goldie76

        Dear Louis,

My burgundy pearls arrived today, and they are burgundy with purple knots between each pearl. I announced this on the Linea forum as we were getting nervous because of reports of a brownish hue.

They are compatible with my aubergine skirt and tights, which I love.

        Goldie

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yours sound exactly like mine, and mine are from the original order. I can’t imagine any other color was done, because the reorder wasn’t that big to have variations.

  44. Beryl

    Louis,
You’ve got to stop. I’m old and retired and do not need anything. Okay so I have 2 closets full of Linea and I said no more. Then came Wk pants and skirts and lace placement tops. So I order and say absolutely no more. So now we have the new flame stitch. Louis I Can’t resist. Everything you present is magnificent. I live in SE Coastal NC but really am from Mass.Even though the life style here in Willmywood ( big film industry here) your clothes are perfect.
    Love ya

    1. Nancy in the TN mountains

You made me laugh too and I’m in the same predicament! Old, retired and closets full of wonderful Linea. Guess I could be getting in worse trouble. Love the lace placement top(s) and managed to order 2……..

  45. Pamela

    Hey Louis:

Heard you say many times that Jac is impossible to buy for – how about a homemade item such as a tennis shoe painted by you – a gift from the heart? If interested or curious?, please visit my O/T link on the Linea forum on ideas of upcycling plain ‘ol sneakers. My hopes were to further inspire Our Linea group for the LOVE of all things Fashion! The oxford, damask & Tribals I’ve painted are favorites. Like you, I get inspired by my home & surroundings!

You may find this a silly suggestion? – just a thought. . .from one creative soul to another.

    Smiles from across the miles

p.s. my Mr. Handsome gives me “Just Because” gifts often. Somehow think UR a romantic too!

The Luggage Tan leather jacket is delicious! It works with so many colors; it really is a chameleon. It’s really nice to have a lighter color especially for spring and fall; nothing like it in my wardrobe. Thank you!

  47. Pepper

    Hello Louis,
I just received my aubergine skirt and am thrilled it is a perfect match to the previous WK sweaters and suede jacket!!! Received the navy pants, you have several different navy colors, which items do they match? I would love to see more items in aubergine and walnut. Just snapped up all colors of the re-stocked ponte pants would love to see them in aubergine as well. Thanks again love all the new things!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pepper. Glad to hear about the Aubergine skirt matching everything……Did you get the matching Aubergine tights? I’m not sure what to say about the navy….When ever I do a WK navy I always give the same WK standard, so ideally they should all work of the navy WK sweaters. There can always be a slight variation but not enough wear you couldn’t wear them together.

      1. Pepper

Thank you for the tights tip, grabbed two pair each in aubergine and walnut!

  48. Beano

I received my jackets today A257280 and A228554. I love the short jacket but it is the leather blazer that I adore. It is amazing that you could create something so perfect within the narrow parameters QVC allows you. I think I’ll wear it every day and it will only get better looking with age. I haven’t been so excited about a piece of clothing in a long time. Thank you Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      What colors did you get?

      1. Beano

The short jacket is in black and the leather blazer in tan, a luscious classic color.

  49. Sherry

ALERT, ALERT…The WK V-neck sweater is up to order.

  50. Pamela

    Dear Louis:

Your mere mention of the upcoming Hunter Green Cardi has painted me happy all over!

Sounds very upscale – Thanks for listening.

  51. Kate

You know, it’s been way too long since we’ve had new jewelry to stalk and scoop up. What’s up with that?!

      1. Kate

Well, I’ll just hope for some sneak peeks on the 18th and be prepared to leap when they arrive. So I now have all colors of the Animal Instincts tights and am surprised how much I like the neutral colored ones. The hose from this line is so silky and yet so stretchy! When will see the next wave?

      2. Pecan Cookie

I keep thinking about the double strand Linea ball necklace in GOLD, SILVER, GUNMETAL, and CHOCOLATE that you showed with the Tarragon Leather Blazer. Mine!

        1. Sherry

Double strand Linea ball necklace in Gold, Silver, Gunmetal, and Chocolate…sigh…LOL.

            1. Sherry

Stud earrings to match!!! Be still my heart…love…LOL. Really, that’s fantastic…love that style of earring. May I ask how big are the beads on the earrings?

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

              Don’t remember….10 or 12 millimeter.

            3. Sherry

              Great size…thanks

            4. Sharon Santourian Holman

What is the possibility of stud earrings being done with stainless steel posts for us allergy prone ladies? Always wondered about it.

        2. Mary Kellogg

I’m all over the double strand in gold silver and gunmetal, with earrings. Like the understated look.

          Bravo, Louis!

  52. Chris/Jazzmom

Will there be other WK sweaters in the hunter green and mahogany colors coming this fall?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not in the mahogany. That is a single item, and a sort of test color to see how everyone likes it. I think it a fabulous dark and rich color. I have had requests to do the WK pant, if it gets reordered, in the Aubergine, but I think the mahogany would make a better pant color. I will have a WK ENR cardigan with patch pockets and signature buttons in the H.G later in the season.

      1. Pecan Cookie

Gimme! I’ll take both the HG cardi and anything in mahogany. Both are such versatile colors. Pants in mahogany would be awesome as well as a WK paisley pashmina with both colors with a bit of gold. Is that pushing the envelope too far?

            1. Barbara in Virginia

It’s warmer than many wines but still cool enough that I can wear it well :-). I have TONS of Aubergine and pull it out every Fall as I can put it under my face with warmer autumn colors that really aren’t good right under my face as color reflects up. It’s a great flow color for me.

      2. Sheesh

Hi, Louis, I think Mahogany WK pants sound great—as long as we can have a WK V-Neck to go with! Also, how about Charcoal WK pants for next year—just sayin’…

        Sheesh/Sheila

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheesh….if the pants get reordered and I can add two new colors….I was thinking of Walnut and the Charcoal for sure….after that I was thinking Mahogany over the Aubergine and only because the Mahogany is such a dark rich color.

  53. Debra

    Dear Louis,
I am so thrilled with my Royal Purple cardigan and tank (just got another cardigan in the Petrol Blue although the tank is sold out).
Where could I get the matching purple beret? I love berets and accessories with your clothing. I do have the necklaces but would love to get the matching berets.

If you could let me know where to find the matching purple beret, I would be thrilled. I also love it paired with the gray skirt and tights.

    thanks so much,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra….I don’t remember whe I picked it up. If I’m in a store and I see berets in colors I don’t have I pick them up……I buy very inexpensive one, or ones that are on sale . You should google berets. Ther are afew good sites that have a terrific variety of colors. If you can’t find the right purple they all have heather grays……..check out stores like Macy’s, Walmart, Espress, Forever 21… Any store that might have them. I would wait until Sept and just ask the saleswomen in the hat and accessory departments if and when they will get any berets….that’s the best advise I can give…..you can even google French Berets. There are millinery stores in NYC that sometimes carry them. Most “French” berets are made in China…..LOL. On my last trip to Paris….I actually bought some in the tourist gift shops… They had sage and olive berets that I hadn’t seen before……..they were made in China too…..

      1. Sheesh

Dear Louis, I was on the look out for berets the last time I was in Paris in October. Right around Place St. Michel, on the border of the 5th and 6th arrondissements, they can be found for the equivalent of $5.00—I bought in every color they had. Then in November, I was out at my house in the Phoenix area and took a ride to Prescott (SE of Sedona) and there in a great little hat shop in the lobby of an old hotel, called “Puttin’ On the Hats”, I spotted a fabulous Black/White Animal Print Angora Beret and grabbed it so fast—this would look fabulous on Jac! I’ll try to get more info about that beret.

        Sheila/Sheesh

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear sheesh …..what colors did you get? The last time we were in Paris I got light and dark olive and charcoal gray in those touristy shops that sell scarves and souvenirs on the Rue de Rivoli…..near Angelina’s….the famous e Tea Salon. Mine were not $5….more like $15.

          1. Sheesh

I got mine in a little tourist trap shop on a very touristy street right off Place St Michel in the beginning of the Latin Quarter, Rue de la Huchette, that has those cheap, horrible tourist trap restaurants–mostly Greek—where they throw the plates. The street runs between Blvd. Saint-Michel and Rue Saint-Jacques.

I guess I didn’t buy “every color” but I did get Black, Red, Wine, Royal Blue, Deep Purple, Turquoise, Ivory and Pearl Grey. Now I’m wishing I had a Green, too. I’m thinking mine were 4 for 20E, since I got 8 of them….so a little over $6 each. They will charge you more on the Rue de Rivoli.

I was there in mid October and they were having a real cold spell, so I wore my Black Beret and promptly left it in the bistro, Albion, across the Seine way up in the 10th—a new bistro opened by Paris friends of ours—they used to be the Chef and the Bartender at Fish in the 6th (which is now just filled with wealthy middle aged American tourists who read abut it on Trip Advisor—SIGH–totally different ambiance than when I lived there—but the food is still great). So I just went and bought a replacement Black Beret—it was easier than going back to Albion on the Rue de Faubourg Poissoniere—which is a great place—near the Metro Poissoniere on Line 7, but it is out of the way.

            Sheila/Sheesh

        2. TourEiffel

Paris Beret Report: current price (as of July 2014) in tourist shops along Rue de Rivoli and Avenue de la Bourdonnais — 3 for 10€. Unexpected new colors — lime green, hot pink and purple.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Did you notice if they were made in China? The ones I saw were. There should be a law in France about selling French Berets made in China!

            1. TourEiffel

Yes, made in China! I thought of you whenever I saw berets in Paris. And, based on your earlier reports, I inspected for place of origin: China! China! China! But I didn’t look at the ones in Galleries Lafayette or chic boutiques — maybe those were made in France?!!

            2. Barbara in Virginia

The BEST berets I have ever found were made in Paris for a shop in Vienna! Really beefy wool that actually keeps your head warm in winter. But about 35 Euros each. Worth it for a warm winter hat.

      2. Debra

Thank you so much Louis! Love being dressed head to toe and being able to match the purple would be great. All the Best!

  54. Sharon Santourian Holman

I’m throwing my 2 cents in here. I LOVE the OTO cardi and tank !! Seriously, this knit feels even softer. The weight and drape of this flattering fit for my size large…wow. Gorgeous and yep, my review is already done. Stunning silhouette hope we see more swing pieces.:)

  55. Judy

Louis, Will you have petite ponte pants for fall like A230009 slim-leg pants? If so, will they be the same weight or heavier?

      1. Judy

Sorry Louis, The number is A230029 your new slim-leg pants that was on you last show.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…the only ponte pant that has been reordered is the slim leg A237394, in the reg. length and A256444 in the petite . The colors are navy, walnut heather charcoal grey black. These will arrive sometime in Sept.

  56. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Along with my fantastic tights today, the whisper knit pants and the new drape front cardigan in black arrived. Louis, I could not be more thrilled with the WK pants! I had such trouble last year with a 2X size that should have fit but was 4 to 6 inches too long (2 colors) with a way too big rise that brought the waist band up under my bra. I didn’t return them but shrunk them like crazy and kept them. So this year I considered a long time, and finally went with the petite 2x. They could not be more perfect! I got all 3 colors and am wishing like crazy I had ordered another black. HOPE they will be reordered and in petites and black will be reordered in the mix. The deep, rich, lush dark colors are divine AND the much more tapered leg is exquisite. The rise was perfect. PLEASE don’t change a THING in the sizing and the taper of the leg on a reorder! My Petite 2X is perfect in every single way. And on your good advice I’ve ordered 2 pairs of suede shoe booties! So with all of my new tights and my new WK pants – I feel all set for Fall.

Lastly, holy smokes, I LOVE that drape front cardigan in Black! Just a plain WOW look. Love the SLIGHT “gathered” look – yes I know it isn’t really gathered – just above the side-ways ribbing in back. The side-ways ribbing hits in a flattering sweet spot on the back. Looks so great on! I’m BEGGING for a reorder on this cardigan too in dark navy and deep hunter green and any other DARK colors possible! And after having been so impressed with my WK pants, and this WK cardigan and being so excited about all the new tights and my new coming shoe boots ~ I sprang today for the new long WK skirt! 🙂 Happy sigh.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Nancy you are going to be the best dressed woman in your city…..heck….your STATE!

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

        Thanks Louis!!!!! 🙂

  57. Renee

    Dear Louis
Sorry for spelling your name wrong!

  58. Renee

    Dear Lois
I just received all my cardigans and they are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Will you have a cardigan in the
    Brick Red? Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will have a brick red cardigan in a more classic style later in the season.

  59. Debra

I got my Royal Purple open WK cardigan and LOVE it! I was worried about it being too fitted, but it is true to size and very flattering. I wanted to get another color but the tank in the Petrol Blue is completely sold out in L, XL, and 1X is not even shown on the page! I missed the OTO but so glad that I ordered very early and have the cardigan and matching tank to go with my other “twin sets” from you. Very soft fabric and feels wonderful on. Thank you!! Is another order for the tanks going to happen or is this just a “whizz, bang, and out the door” item? Obviously, based on the sold out list, lots of women were waiting for these items. Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Debra….women who bought the cardigan before the show were able to get the OTO price….You should ask CS.No there won’t be another order of the tanks in these colors this year.

  60. Tylerpoo

Louis, you mentioned that the flame stitch is in the brick red color. It appears to match the wine jacket and aubergine colors very well. I have the brick red skirt/jacket and previous aubergine items, and the brick red is a brighter color. Will the red flame stitch match or go with the aubergine skirt and red suit .

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tylerpoo, there are two reds in the flame stitch pattern. One is a deep wine and the other is the brick red…..However because of the black threads the brick red comes off darker optically. I do think they look good together, but don’t expect it to be a matching red due to the black effecting the color.

  61. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. I received my “Tower of Shame” today from UPS and am busy trying things on. Just wanted to let you know that I had to go up a size in the Animal Print Jacquard Skirt due to having to get it past my hips with no zipper. I’m a Medium in bottoms, but the Large in this skirt fits perfectly. I love, love love this skirt (going back for the Blue) but I fear you may be getting returns. Hopefully, buyers looked at the measurements first, which I did, so I knew to go up a size. Off to try on the rest of my haul……

    Sheila/Sheesh

    1. Sheesh

Dear Louis, I stand corrected. I had ordered the Blue Animal Jacquard in Medium and it fits! It’s a closer fit that the Large Taupe, but I got it on over the hips! Had to take it off over the head, though, as I was afraid I’d ruin it—but I like the Medium fit better than the Large on me—so I was wrong, I’m sorry, and I wanted to correct that false impression I gave in my earlier post. I’m “hippy”–very hourglass, and I’m loving the sexy fit of the Medium! Thank you.

  62. feathers

Hi!I know you aren’t ready to show items for the Aug.18th show, but could you at least tell us if there will be any jackets. I’m and always will be a jacket person and love your styles and quality, Thanks.

  63. Chris/Jazzmom

I love those pants, wish there were more colors like walnut, heather and pewter gray or aubergine! If they are a success, would love this pant in those colors.

  64. nikki

Louis, I am so happy with my recent purchases of wk pants, bought both petites and regular and they are perfect. I also bought the luggage color leather jacket and plan to wear it dark jeans and one of the turtle necks( especially the huntergreen and navy). My question is what color boots would one wear? It will be difficult to match the luggage color, so I would like your input. THankyou. I am waiting for my loadful of delivery todsy including the red jacket and the TSV.

  65. Happy Lady

You are going to be HAPPY!! Like grand reviews after a Broadway play!! The reviews are pouring in on the Forum because we are receiving our WK Pants. They are fabulous! The new lengths and the slimmer legs are 5 STARS! Your persistence is paying off. There is even talk of new colors; how’s that for confidence there will be reorders! aubergine and gray. I ordered mediums last year (8 pair) and love them but this time I ordered smalls for heels and xsmall for flats and riding boots. Ordered 9 pair (3 in each color). All are perfect. Also the collared sweater in Mahogany is fabulous. Thanks again. Love pretty clothes!!
