HI Louis, Quick WK Scarf story. My two college age nephews came to visit and raided my xmas gift collection and left with one black and one hunter green. They loved the posh knit scarves last year although not too happy with the black shedding. Thought these were perfect. Have to order more, they were not on my list. Keep these coming every year in more colors. A no brainer. Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If they keep selling I’ll keep bringing them back….I think it’s funny they know where you keep your Christmas stash…..or did you give them a little help?

      1. Happy Lady

I am very generous and all my “children” come and take. I can’t take it with me. And that leads to the new series “OUTLANDER”. Jamie(the groom)has an uncle; Uncle Doogell who whispered in the ear of new bride Claire she should “Share”. I have a whole new concept of “Share”; never thought of “Share” that way before. Thought that applied to clothing and food. Are you and Jac watching? My maiden name is McFadden and I do love those kilts.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, we haven’t watched that show

    2. Sheesh

Uh oh, now I need to order a Hunter Green for my son, too—geez, forgot about him (don’t tell him)—even though he wears scarves all the time—very European, after living in Paris for 3 years–he got into it right away and never looked back.

    Dear Louis,

My Whisper Knit scarves in brick red and black arrived today, and I am pleased to the nth degree. I adore them! They are perfect in every way: length, width and texture. Here is what I wrote on the forum (I owe you reviews, too):

I could not be more pleased by these scarves, which I ordered in brick red and black. By the way, brick red is one of the most pleasing new colors I’ve seen in a long while.

The scarves are perfect in every way: length, width and texture. The length is absolutely divine for winding around the neck — not too long or too short; the width is exactly what I prefer; and the faux recessed “fringe” is clever. (There is no fringe, as such, but a surface that rises and falls at each end of the scarf.)

And the feel. It is as though some gentle angels are hugging your neck. The comfort quotient is like having a purring cat asleep in your lap.

Bring on the new colors, Louis!

[Louis, it’s me again. I hope these scarves are a hit because I am hankering after jewel tones, etc. A masterfully done item, once again.]

    Hi Louis,

I am in love with your pull on pants and have two pairs every color . The only colors missing are ivory and tan.
I would really love a pair to match your new cowl neck sweater in ivory color.

Any chance on adding these ?

Thank you for all you do.

    Patti

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti…..I’m assuming you are referring o the ponte knit pull-on pant that comes in black, walnut, navy and gray…..since the pant is unlined it can not be offered in ivory, because it will be see some what through. I don’t know how light a tan I can go, but that is a possibility.

      1. Patti j

Yes either the ponte or the slim leg that comes in the cobalt blue, brown and black or the ponte either in a soft winter white or tan would be great.

  4. andrea

How warm is the swing jacket? Would you say thirty degrees? I have too many fifty degree jackets. The tailoring is so beautiful. It’s years since I’ve worn a woven coat.

  5. Shari

In the pictures YOU posted of the Raspberry peacoat,
which one is closer to the “in person” color?
The QVC picture shows it VERY dark.
P.S. Already ordered all three colors in the wing collar blouse- whoohoo!

      1. Shari

Thats what I was hoping for!!
        Thankyou Louis
I’ll add it to my collection

  6. Beryl

    Dear Louis,
Blue lace jacket and tank just arrived. I love them. Comfortable as a sweat shirt but elegant. Thanks for all the beautiful you’ve brought into my life.
    Beryl

LDO–is J284043 (72-in faceted bead necklace, came in 4 colors) ever coming back?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes…..for Holiday selling…..Don’t ask me what that means….I guess Q4. I do not believe all the colors have been reordered. All I know for sure is the Black jet. I’ll check

      1. Kate

That is GREAT news! Hoping they reordered the grey (my favorite) but in for a second black jet too!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Clear, black ang jet are coming sometime in Nov.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

The grey hung around for a long time…..well after the other three sold out. I was surprised because the gray looks so expensive worn tonal on charcoal…maybe next time.

      2. Sheesh

Oh, I want a Clear so badly. I have 2 Black Jet and 1 Grey—but missed on the Clear.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Nov. is when the clear is do

  8. jmarie

Happy happy here! Just ordered the raspberry pea jacket: I was afraid the cut might be problematic for me, but the constellation of measurements (shoulder/armhole/arm) will work! Thank you so much!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Terrific! I hope you got the WK Raspberry shawl to wear with it. That will enable you to wear the jacket longer into the season. Lots of light layers to keep you warm and cozy!

      1. jmarie

Did I buy the raspberry shawl? That gave me a laugh–bought ALL the shawls and a couple of extra black for gifts as soon as they posted!

  9. Wendy in DE

    Dear Louis,
I wanted to let you know how much I love the new 2-strand necklace. I wore the silver yesterday and got such positive reactions. It lights up the face beautifully! Thanks so much for introducing such a beautiful piece to your line!
It makes this older gal feel like a young “chick” again!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m so glad you liked it. When one of my favorite pieces gets a positive reaction it’s very gratifying…..enjoy!

  10. Happy Lady

It’s midnight and Friday morning; I’m up because I have the flue. I just ordered your Raspberry pea jacket. I’m not missing out on this beauty. The price of $99 is ridiculously low for this jacket. I also bought all three of the wing collared shirts. Since you introduced your custom fabric for your shirts previously, I know how beautiful these shirts launder. If I’m going to suffer, I might as well look forward to a gift in the mail.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Happy Lady….get better soon. Jac and I just got our Flu shots on Monday….fingers crossed……………enjoy your new jacket. I can honestly say this jacket came out even better than I hoped. The fit is exactly the way I wanted it. You are so right…$99 is incredible for the fabric, the tailoring and workmanship…..and the colors are beautiful.

The Pea Jacket A259281 – and the Wing Collared Shirt A259103 – are Posted on Q!

    1. Seka

That should be A259261 for the Pea Jacket!

    Hi Louis
When can we expect to see the Pea Jacket ?
    Thanks

  13. 2E

    Hi, Louis:

Thanks so much for offering to speak with your manufacturer about the tension on the WK knitting machines — another example of the extraordinary way you care for your products and your Linea Ladies.

I, too, feel that there is a noticeable difference in the perceived weight and hand of this year’s WK pieces when compared to last year’s versions of the same pieces. For example, I recently ordered another A72448, the “classic” WK TN, another A237412, the longer of the two WK pencil skirts, and another A233950, the WK kimono cardigan, in the same size Small and color Black as I ordered last year. The new pieces feel very much lighter and have much more stretch, to the point that they fit and hang quite differently. Since the yarn and machines are still 12-gauge, perhaps the tension has been set looser than you intended.

Your WK is such a special fabric, and we all want it to be produced exactly to your specifications!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s hard for me to know what is actually a new delivery or still part of the old delivery. Since there hasn’t been a new reorder on the Black Kimono sweater it is part of the original delivery, so it would be strange that there should be a difference?

      1. Anonymous

Could it be that laundered wk has a “fuller” feel?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, especially it it shrunk slightly

  14. Catherine

I received my turtleneck sweaters (A259110) and wanted to give you some candid feedback here. They are “good” but not “great.” I understood these sweaters to be every needle rib (ENR). In my opinion, after comparing them to other ENR pieces in my Linea wardrobe, they are either not ENR, or the gauge of the yarn has been lessened to the point that they feel like a plain jersey with some ribbing attached. I own A210360 and A23407 ENR sweaters, and A237412 and A253411 ENR skirts. Those pieces have great hand and more substantial body. The turtlenecks lack that, and they also wrinkle – a lot. I wore one yesterday, folded it nicely and put it in my tote bag after I changed into my workout clothes, and in the four hours between folding and removing it from the bag it was a wrinkled mess. There also may be some looming production problems with this manufacturer. I ordered A259110 in Sienna, XS, and received an obviously mis-tagged garment. I don’t know the exact size, but I would say it was at least an L or XL. On top of that, the sienna turtleneck had been over-steamed to the point that it had a bunch of obvious “footprints” on the front from the steaming process. Finally, of the three black turtlenecks I ordered, one of them has the tag sewn on upside down. So there has been some carelessness and lack of quality control in the mere aspect of labeling these garments. I don’t know if the “thinness” was intended or not, but I was pretty sure you described this turtleneck as ENR, and it just doesn’t compare to the known ENR pieces that I have in my wardrobe. Honestly, Louis, if this is what ENR is going to be in the future, I won’t be buying them any more. I can get jersey rayon/nylon blends from Talbots at far better markdown prices than are ever available at QVC. I was so excited to see what I thought would be a great black turtleneck that I bought three. I am keeping the ones that I purchased because they fit a need in my wardrobe, but I won’t be buying any more of this particular gauge knit. Thank you again for all of the really superlative work you do, and the stellar customer service.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Catherine, I am forwarding your message to my manufacturer. I will have a discussion with them about the tension on the machine when knitting….the gauge is always the same. They are knitted on 12 gauge machines, because the yarn is a 12 gauge yarn….that never changes. Sorry your not 100% pleased.

      1. Jane J.

Good morning, Louis, I looked back thru all your descriptions of this new turtleneck A259110 and, unless I missed it, I couldn’t find that you ever described it as ENR (Every Needle Rib). I received mine and I agree that it is lighter WK jersey than the regular turtleneck A72448.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane….I do so many WK sweaters that I can’t always keep it straight which is jersey and which is ENR, so I asked my manufacturer, and you are correct. The reason I never said it was an ENR is because it isn’t It’s a basic jersey. I compared my samples to other jersey WK and honestly I don’t see a difference. Sometimes some colors, due to the dyes, can feel heavier than others, but the are all made on the same automatic 12 gauge fully fashioned machines.

    2. Judy

What Catherine wrote is exactly the way I felt about the new whisper knit pants, I ordered 2 pair of each color. They are nice and I am keeping them all but their is a world of difference in the earlier pants. The new wk pants are much lighter and just don’t hang near as pretty as the heavier more dense wk pants of a few years ago. My older wk pants are much nicer and still my favorite pants of all time. I hate to her our whisper knit is changing when so many of us love our wk’s.

      1. Maia

Louis, I agree with Judy about the old whisper knit pants being heavier with a better drape than this year’s. Because the old ones were so popular and sold out, I was surprised they were changed this year. I’m just grateful I have two pair of the old, weightier style to wear this winter.

  15. Lilly

I tried on my WK dresses last night and I am dubbing them the magic dress. I am 5’3″ and a solid Large, I read earlier reviews of women 5’7″ and 5’9″ and the dress hitting them at or below the knees. I was worried that the dress would be to long on me. Well it is magic, even at 5’3″ the dress hits me right at the knee, the fit is perfect! I can’t wait for it to get a bit cooler so that I can begin wearing all of my new fall cloths. I simple love this time of year. Just it case it isn’t said enough, thank you for all that you do for us Linea ladies.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lilly….I am so happy you like the dress and find it a MAGIC dress. I realize that it will be magic for many, but for some not so magical. I did this dress going in knowing it would not be for everyone….I’m happy it’s for you!

      1. Jazzbabe

I just wanted to add my accolades regarding the WK dress. Since I am only 5’3 I was concerned that the dress would be too long for me. I am happy to report that I ordered a size small, my usual Linea dress size, and the length is perfect for me, hitting me right at the bottom of my knee. This is a comfy cozy dress that will be a staple for me this fall and winter. Thanks for such a great dress!

  16. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
I have a problem. I received the new lace knit jacket in black & blue in my normal size Medium. Its beautiful, I have the Jacquard animal print knit in medium & similar size. Fits fine. The new one is too tight in the middle. I can wear open but think I need the next size but its 3 inches larger. What do you think? Someone else on forum said it ran smaller also.

    Loved the footless leggings.
    Thanks for your help.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Before I suggest anything let me ask my fit people. So you got the Med which is tighter in the middle than the animal jacquard knit. and the large is a 3 inch grade is that what you are saying?

      1. NJ Lady

Yes – the chest measurement is 3 inches larger in the large.
        Any info yet ?
        Thank you

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi….what I was told was this ….you info about the grade is correct between sizes. I was told the waist measurement on the new jacket is slightly larger. The next size up may be too big and need alterations. I know this doesn’t solve the problem, but I don’t have any other suggestions. It you want…mabe the bust can be let out. It would’ve be a big alteration since it isn’t lined, but that’s up to you.

  17. Karen in WA

Louis, Is Brick red (the new jacket) compatable with Chili Pepper?

  18. Bobbie

Good afternoon, Louis. I am in need of a little advice for dressing for two occasions in the fall, if you don’t mind. I own almost everything you’ve offered since 2006, so if you think something else would look better than what I have in mind, please don’t hesitate to change my mind! I am attending an outdoor evening wedding the end of November in Texas. I know, those crazy young brides…what are they thinking? Anyway, I thought I would wear the long WK black skirt, raspberry funnel neck WK sweater and matching wrap with the new gunmetal crystal and pearl pin and black boots. (We were told to wear boots or flats, because heels would sink in the grass.) I hate to wear such dark colors, but it will be cold outside, and I thought the raspberry would be a pretty and subtle color. The other questions I have is about an evening Christmas office party. I am bound and determined to wear the black jacket with satin ruffle trim because it is so flattering around the neck and face. (If you ever want to bring back this design in other colors, I’ll snap them up. It’s a lovely design.) I would prefer not to wear the matching skirt for this event but would like to wear pants. Do you have any advice for which pants would look dressy enough to compliment the jacket? I do have your velvet pants and other dress knit slacks of yours. Any advice you are willing to give will be appreicated. I trust your judgment completely!

Also, I would like to comment about the new ponte knit leggings. I hesitated at first before ordering them, because of your cautionary comment about the weight of the fabric for those of us who live in warmer climates. I couldn’t help myself, and ordered two pairs, because I was sure the quality would be like no other. As usual, you have never disappointed! The weight and quality of the fabric is outstanding. It is super comfortable, keeps it shape and hides a multitude of flaws! It is not too heavy or warm, even for the south. I would not wear it, of course, on 100 degrees summer days, but for the other three seasons of the year, it is perfect. I encourage you to use this fabric again, as I am sure the current pieces are sure to become Linea classics.

My two strand necklaces all arrived in great condition and are perfectly beautiful. The colors and finish compliment one’s complexion, as many of your ladies have commented. I am looking forward to the jackets coming soon, but I’m having a bit of trouble choosing my colors! Thank you for all the beautiful fashions! No one else compares!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bobbie…I think your choices sound perfect. The raspberry sweater and shawl with the black skirt should be perfect. November outdoor wedding? It must stay pretty warm in your neck of the woods to have an EVENING wedding at the end of Nov.outside. You couldn’t do that up north where I live. As for the pants and the ruffle jacket…..I’m sure you must own a pair of black pants that will work just as well as any new pant. Velvet, Whisper Knit, Crepe, a fluid matte jersey type would all work. If you have my Black sequin skirt, top and or dress they would all work with that jacket too…….Glad to hear you like our new necklaces, and that the Super ponte worked for you. I will try to bring the fabric back in some shape or form.

      1. Bobbie

Thanks so much for your response and advice. I’ll try all of your ideas with the ruffle trim jacket to see which one looks best. I completely forgot about the sequin skirt.

  19. Grace

Louis, I just received the WK dresses in black & olive and all I can say is WOW!! I wasn’t sure I could wear this beautiful WK dress at a size 12/14 (Medium)(fearing too much would show), but sizing up made all the difference. The fit is so incredibly beautiful & slimming AND it’s long enough for me at 5’9″– hits at the top of the knee. Tried it on with your new gold two-strand beads and it’s so lovely & classic. I wish there were olive opaque tights to match, but I’m assuming you’d recommend black? I also have a pair of leopard low-heeled pumps to wear with the olive and I’m not sure what to do on the leg…Any help is appreciated. Your Fall line is beyond wonderful–I love everything I’ve ordered. Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Grace….I am going to show Black tights with the Olive dress. I haven’t decided if they will be the solid opaque or the herringbone. The walnut herringbone would work also with a dark brown shoe boot. So the dress one size larger wasn’t too big? That would be good info to pass on.I was going to suggest to size up one, unless someone is very tiny and slim. So happy you love my favorite two strand necklace.Olive tights may be ordered if the tights do well. I don’t see why they shouldn’t since they really are superb quality, but who knows. Things I think are a sure bet end up with disappointing sales, and other things I wasn’t sure about get reordered…..go figure.

      1. Grace

Thanks, Louis, for your response and suggestions. I mentioned my sizing experience both in my review and in the Linea Forum. And, your tights are wonderful–I cannot tell Lineas from Wolfords, except for the price!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Grace I am so happy you like the legging. If the women would only try them I know they will think they are amazing. I showed them to my sister in laws and they ordered them for themselves, their daughters and daughter-in-laws. You really can’t beat the quality at any price.

    2. Sherry

I think it would be important to note that a Med is listed as a size 10-12 and a large is a 14-16…that said if you are a 12-14 and go to the size large you are going up a 1/2 size. If you are one who sizes down on your WK then sizing up a size will work. I do not size down on my WK and I am a solid size 12/Med. if I were to size up to a Large it would be too large on me. Just thought that bit of information should be considered if you were considering stating on air that someone could size up a size on the WK dress…just a FYI…

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….thanks for the info. Now I’m going to ask you for your advise. What would you tell the ladies about sizing up or down?

        1. Sherry

I think it depends on whether you are the smaller or larger size of the size range…the med is a 10-12 and I am a size 12, the med is perfect. If I were a size 10 then possible I could have sized down, as Grace stated she is a 12-14 and the Large works for her. I also like some ease in my clothing and the WK has stretch, I just find that whenever I size down in WK it’s usually a return, too small in the shoulders. All that said, it would depend on which end of the size you are, how you like your garments to fit, shoulder size, and also whether you have sizing issues as in being an apple or pear as to whether you can size up or down. That’s my opinion…

      2. Grace

I wonder if the sizing on the WK dress varies by body type? One of the Linea Ladies in the Forum, who ordered her usual size, is saying it’s too big, so she’s sizing down. For me, since I’m between sizes (12-14) and tall/curvier, that 1/2 size up to a Large made all the difference in length and fit. The dress follows the lines of the body without hugging too tightly. Maybe it takes trying different sizes to get the fit right, but I think it’s worth it. When the dress fits, as someone said earlier, it’s magic.

  20. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. Now that Fall is officially here (and my favorite time of year), and getting downright cold up here in Massachusetts, I broke out the WK Hunter pants yesterday and wore to dinner with the WK Hunter T-neck and your new Gold Bead double strand necklace. Got immediate compliments on the necklace. I’m going back for a second one, I just love it so!

Keeping my fingers crossed that I am able to snag one of the new multi-cross and ribbed bead necklaces when they are available. I think it will be every woman for herself!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am sure you got compliments and I bet you were the best dressed woman where you were. Nothing beats simplicity when it is done well. The HG WK pants and the TN are just a beautiful look. I am surprised there are any left in any color.

      1. designista

Unless I missed something, I don’t believe that the Hunter Green turtlenecks have been posted yet?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

You are correct. They were due in Oct, but since they are a reorder they can post them any time as soon as they are processed.

      2. Sheesh

I meant Hunter V-neck—with the Gold necklace filling the V—it was gorgeous!

  21. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Louis, I must have gotten this on my mind incorrectly. In your listing of coming WK pieces in Hunter Green – you don’t mention the turtleneck coming in Hunter. Was I imagining that idea?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s coming too…too many to keep track of….there’s definitely something for everyone.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

        Hurray!

  22. Grace

Do you anticipate offering any WK pieces in Persian Blue? I posted a question earlier about a t-neck in that color, but you may have missed it. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry Grace…..didn’t see the question…….none planned for now

  23. Happy Lady

I have a complaint, guess more of a disappointment. I just received my black/silver pinstripe jacket A259095,and I “assumed” because the colors are named black/silver the stripe would be a metallic silver. Whoever writes the descriptions under the items on the ordering page used words like luxe and tuxedo. I, of course, ordered before shown live and thought I was getting a silver thread/black combination. Perhaps next time whoever names the could use light gray instead of a word many of us think of as a metal color, silver. Just a suggestion. LOVE the black/silver and navy/ivory. The jackets and pants fit me like they were custom made for me. This jacket fits me better than all your other “300”(exaggeration) jackets fit. I think it is the stronger shoulder. Love both pieces in both colors. Will wear for years to come. Looks like I paid hundreds more! Thanks, Louis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I certainly understand your confusion….silver may have been a bad choice. It never crossed my mind that anyone would think it would be a metallic thread. I don’t think it looked silver in my sneak peeks…you should have asked me!

  24. Writer with Flair (Patti)

I wanted to say “Thanks” to you for giving us those wonderful
Whisper Knit pants. They are PERFECT! The Hunter Green and Navy are just the colors I have been hoping to see. I truly appreciate how you consider your customer requests and provide us with the most beautifully made garments and accessories to be found anywhere. I also bought the scarf in the Hunter Green, the new leggings in Gray, and some Navy tights a few minutes ago. I am looking forward to more Hunter Green items to come. Thanks you, Louis and Jac, for all you do for us and for who you are as people.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti…so glad you like one of my favorite colors. The Hunter Green is beautiful and the WP pant is my favorite pant…..everyone has their own favorite….that’s mine. I think it is so chic and sophisticated to have the WK pant and sweater and scarf in the same color. You will be happy to know there are three more Hunter Green WK sweaters coming…the ENR cardigan and matching Tank and in Jan a short sleeve ENR jewel neck basic that everyone is going to love.Plus the Flame SWtitch pieces and the swing jacket makes for a fabulous wardrobe in HUNTER GREEN.

      1. Maia

Louis, I am so happy you designed an ENR jewel neck short sleeve sweater for next year. Sounds like it’ll replace my favorite basic: your short sleeve ribbed tee-shirt (A-3825) that’s on clearance. Off to order your hunter green scarf now to go with my HG WK side button sweater, WK pants, flame stitch skirt and flame stitch top. What a beautiful fall season!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s exactly why I did this sweater..because they dropped the other….I actually like it better than the one you mentioned.Well maybe not better, but it’s a good replacement.

  25. TexasBarb

The scarves (A257914)have posted and are ready to be ordered. I’m so glad we were surprised and didn’t have to wait until November.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thanks for letting me know TexasBarb….I guess I have to get my updates from Texas, since no one here let me know!….LOL

      1. TexasBarb

And we don’t even need scarves any time soon in Texas since it has still been 90 degrees. I spend a lot of time in Chicago and I know I will need them there….LOL

  26. Kate

Just tried on the new Whisper Knit dress and it’s a keeper! What a lovely, elegant little number and it fits like a glove!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      That’s great news!

  27. Grace

Louis, I’m hoping you’ll add a “Persian Blue” WK t-neck at some point:) Possible?

    1. Karen in WA

      PLEASE!

ME TOO!! A blue, not navy and without greens. We know you like color but we do need some softer shades of blues for “summers”.

  28. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

I have been on the lookout for your scarves. When can we expect them? Colors, again, please… What were they? Thank you so much.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie…I really don’t know. They were planned as gift items and are coming with a gift box…..so they will probably be released next month or November….I’ll try to find out…..the colors are Black, Brick Red, Hunter Green and Nutmeg.

      1. Goldie76

Picked up two for now. Love the feel of Whisper Knit. Loved the shawl in WK, and I am certain I will feel so cozy — and chic — with these wrapped around my neck. There is such drama and glamour, in addition to warmth, offered by scarves. They are both utilitarian and enhance our appearance.

Such a nice touch! Thank you, Louis.

  29. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Boucle swing jacket??? I wonder if this will be difference from an eBay vintage Aline I got a couple of years ago? I can’t wait to see, I have no patience, please please PLEASE show us??? Come on, Louis, it’s close enough, yes? :). I’m shocked you got the fabric, if it’s the same as previous jackets?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

My dearest Sharon….I posted the sneak peek of this weeks ago! Check my website….you’ll have to keep hitting “older” until you find it.

      1. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Uh oh…lol. Ok I’m there. How did I miss it?

        1. Sharon Santourian-Holman

          Ok…I kept thinking Pea Jacket…ok that’s it.:)

  30. Lyn

I missed out on the Super-Ponte Leggings in my size Small. No longer available, even on wait list. I wanted the black, but would also like navy or brown. Will these be reordered?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lyn….it’s way to early to know….and if they are it won’t be until next year

  31. Vivienne

Louis can you spill the beans about what colors the (October) poncho with sleeves will be coming in? I can’t wait to hear! Thanks!

      1. Vivienne

Okay, it was worth a shot to ask anyway! Lol

      2. Cela

…but…Please? ROFLOL. “-D. Not even the cardi???

Seriously, Louis, the poncho, reallllly on trend.

Can we at LEAST get a couple of design details, fringe, length, fullness too.
Just wondering what you have planned for the TALL girls, that’s all. We need a little nudging too.

        Ciao.
p.s. Loving all my bf cardis.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

OK….here’s a big one….it’s in the same faux Shetland yarn as the tunic

          1. Cela

WOW, that heathered texture against the solid WK, gorgeous! That’s the poncho, right ?

Also, up above, you said that there is an ENR knit cardigan coming in Hunter, is that a new pattern or is THAT THE BF CARDIGAN ???

            Thank you.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

The poncho is in the faux Shetland …..the cardigan is brand new…not as long as the BF cardi. This has signature buttons.

  32. Dulwich

Loving the new sweater A259108 . Checking measurements I am at the top end of the sweep measurement 48.5. Louis could Inwear the XL? I see this is a longer top so do not want it too tight at hip so wondered if the XL would be a better fit – would be bigger in the bust but I can belt it for the oversized type of look. What do you think please.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

This should not be tight…remember you will be wearing a bottom, and more than likely another layer of some sort under the sweater.. I always prefer these types of sweater to be big rather than small…..so with the XL.

      1. Dulwich

Thank you have gone with the XL.

  33. Shari

    Good Morning
I was just in my closet picking out what to wear today and had a thought for NEXT fall.
Even though I have solid plans to order ALL the wing collar blouses, I would LOVE to see
this same collar style blouse with a french cuff. In colors like these. I use to have one years ago
but, it has left the building. I think the french cuff blouse is a classic and it’s SO hard to find
these days. How can you go wrong with a classic? I have been all over the internet looking with no luck.
It would be so great to see this classic blouse come back as only you could do.
Today I am wearing your skirt with button detail in front (LOVE this skirt-have 3)and the tights, a bootie and a light weight
sweater with your beads and chain.

  34. Tuni

Sadly all 4 of my 2 row bead necklaces arrived broken. I ordered one in every color and all had broken cords. Disappointing. Just thought I’d pass the info along so you can share with your manufacturer

  35. Cathy

    Dear Louis,

I ordered your lace knit jacket and tank this morning. I read that you said order your usual size but, the QVC measurements seemed smaller than usual. I am usually a small but sometimes a medium. I ordered the small. Do you think I made the correct choice. Thanks for your reply.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy….not knowing your body measurements I can’t really answer you. Do you own any of the other ponte zip front jackets…the tortoise or the solid?

      1. Cathy

        Dear Louis,
Thanks for answering my message. No, I don’t have any ponte zip front jackets. I am a size 10. I take a size small in the whisper knits, the denim dresses and the suede and knit sweater jacket. I do have a few items in medium however like the denim jackets. I guess I will find out when my items arrive and try to get a medium if the smalls don’t work. Thanks for trying to answer my question. P.S. I love your clothes!

        1. Sheesh

Cathy, I think you need a Medium if you are a Size 10. I wear Small in the WK, put a Medium in the Ponte knits. WK is more ‘forgiving” than Ponte knit.

  36. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I am so glad that QVC posted your new ribbed t-necks early. I just ordered 2 in black and can’t wait to receive them. Would love to see this new design in winter white!

    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If it gets reordered…..winter white it is…..but what exactly do you consider Winter White? There are so many variations.

      1. Dariann

        Dear Louis,

You choose but I tend to favor snow white or cream – not oyster!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

By oyster do you mean a white with a tint of gray green?

          1. Dariann

Yes – not a good color next to my face.

  37. Dodie

Gosh Louis: here we go again… I see Andrea already posted on the new necklaces, J 296893. I just received the chocolate and gold, and the chocolate one seems the same as she experienced; all the beads loose in one strand and a broken nylon strand poking out. The gold one is intact for now, but I worry that the same thing will happen. I hope for you that we are the only two who experience this. Don’t know whether to keep one, exchange the other or just return them…

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dodie….right now I would advise you to have QVC replace it at THEIR expense. I am speaking with my vendor rep. about this issue. I am so glad for spring we will be using a new manu. Don’t misunderstand me… the previous manu. did most things beautifully like the fish, palm group, wind chimes and even the clear faceted bead group, but for some reason they are not consistent with beaded necklaces attaching the beads at the closing. Stick ith it QVC will always stand behind it.

      1. diane bloch

Thanks for the advice. I ordered 4. Only the chocolate arrived broken and I am waiting for a new one. This is the ONLY piece of your jewelry to arrive defective. By the way the necklaces are FAB-U-LOUS. I mean FAB-U-LOUIS!

  38. Louis Dell'Olio

Send them back..they will take them or I will find out if my old manufacturer will fix them. I changed manufacturers so this problem shouldn’t be a problem in the future.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I got word that my manufacturer will fix them if you want….I’m waiting for instructions. I will do a separate post regarding this.

  39. andrea

Re the two strand necklace. Yesterday I got the silver one. Unfortunately the top strand was not connected to the bottom one. I opened the box and beads went all over my rug. Every one. I used a magnet to find them.

Called CS and she said she’d send me a new one. I said O.K. but I’m really hesitant. There was a clear filament hanging that did not look strong enough for the edges of the beads. What happens if they break after thirty days?

  40. nicklaus

FYI. Today on QVC as a lunch time special is A231145.
Linea by Louis Dell’Olio V-neck Bodysuit with Shirring Detail

    Item Price: $22.96

  41. Shari

That last word is supose to be “stellar”
    Sorry for the type-o
Add note– I am mid 60’s

  42. Shari

    Good Morning Loius

I MUST tell you — I have had the tights for quite some time now, but never
wore them, due to our warmish weather here in Michigan. BUT– I thought
I SHOULD try them on to see if I like them. Took them out of the package and
said “you have got to be kidding me!!!” “there is NO way I am getting these on!!”.
I almost sent them back without trying. Boy– was I ever wrong.! These tights GLIDE on
with ease and they are so soft and comfortable. No sliding down. No rolling at the waist band.
No digging at the waist. I must have looked REALLY funny as I tried my best to get them to fail.
Did a couple jumping jacks, deep lunges, stretches. They DID NOT BUDGE.!!!
QVC IS NOT GETTING THESE BACK.!!!
Love them and I WILL order more and post a reveiw. Thankyou for these steear tights.!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Ye of little faith!….LOL…..my impression was the same when I received my samples so I called Jac and showed them to her. She immediately said that’s the way they are supposed to look. I was not convinced until she tried them on for me…..Size B which is her size. She said …..”see they are perfect”….a sigh of relief! Don’t forget she’s 5″ 10 and 1/4″. If some one buys them and they don’t fit….they didn’t buy the right size…..simple as that. There is no way, with all of the sizes avail, that anyone should not find the proper size. If they are too small they should go up one size and if they are too big….down a size. What ever size you buy tights in from any B&M store should be the same for these. My manufacturer produces thousands of tights for many in house brands of upscale department stores…and DESIGNERS….who charge a lot more for their tights and leggings than I do and very few have this extensive size range. Wear them well! Jac and I were in the city today….very chilly day…..she wore a vintage Dell’Olio military jacket, and the new leggings…..she loves them and ordered lots for herself. I don’t think she will ever put on another pair if jeans…LOL

      1. Shari

No longer — me of little faith. I’ hooked on these tights. Just ordered 4 more.

  43. NJ Lady

A question about the new body seamless legging- Would you stay true to size.
You told me to size down to Small in the ponte legging and they were perfect.
I would be a C in these – should I go up in size or stick with the C.
    Thanks again for your help.
I am getting a pair for myself and my daughter. She loved the herringbone tights.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Definitely stay with your size

  44. Jackie

    Louis,
I went to order some WK turtlenecks. In my size medium the majority are sold out. We are coming into turtleneck season and I would have thought QVC would have replenished the stock for us ladies. Are the sold out colors “no re-order”? Hope not. I have about 8 of them – including the new charcoal. Would like more.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know if any of the older colors are coming back, but I’ll check. I do know the Hunter Green and Clay are new and will be avail next month.

  45. Karen in WA

    Louis,
Will there be any more additional colors in the WK shawls this year? I really want brown, ivory and navy too. They are soooooo nice.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen….no the style was not reordered…..what ever exists….that’s it.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Nope….if it sells and doesn’t return high….maybe next year.

  46. ceicei

Pin striped suit just arrived. Other than having to shorten the sleeve which is easy to do, the fit is perfect. Got the pants in petite and they fit beautifully. What a fabulous suit. Very true to my linea size. It looks like it was tailored for me. Going back for the navy pant.

    1. Jane J.

Hi Louis, My pinstripe pants also arrived today. The fabric is soft, fit is great, length of the pant is perfect (I am 5’9″), but, what I really like is that the pinstripe is very subtle. Very nice, indeed!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane that’s exactly why I love this fabric, because the stripe was subtle. The original had a stronger whiter stripe which I had them tone down…….this way it will work with many other patterns

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s great to hear….I really love the pinstripe and I think the fabric is wonderful….very classy and expensive looking.

  47. Lyn

Louis, I just noticed that A 230025 Linea Animal Jacquard Jacket is available to order in my size small in gray, brown and olive (I ordered all 3 today). However, the blue is still sold out in my size. I ordered the brown and the blue ponte slim pull on pants to match the jackets. Was the blue Animal Jacquard Jacket reordered? If not, will the blue pants match the new lace print jacket? I need to know what to do about the pants.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lyn….the blue was not reordered. I checked the blue pant with the lace and tonight in my studio light it looks good…but I will check again tomorrow in daylight to make sure. If it does not look good I will let you know. If you don’t hear from me then it’s still good in daylight.

      1. Lyn

Thanks, Louis. I’ll have to consider this. I really want the blue lace jacket, but planned to wear that with black, for contrast. It’s a shame that the Cobalt Animal Jacquard Jacket was not reordered, since several Linea ladies already own that color in that jacket, and really like it. I guess it was QVC’s decision, and we’ll have to live with it.
At least, I was able to get 3 other colors (olive, gray, brown).

  48. Seka

Louis, On June 15th godfreak posted a list (no photos) of upcoming Linea Items – this Item was on the list:
    Long Sleeve Turtle Neck Poncho

    Will this be available?

  49. NJ Lady

    Hi,
The wing collared shirt – you have it buttoned high on all the pictures.
Will the collar stay up if you open a few buttons?
Also you mentioned an assymetrical top coming in the fall – Do you know when?

    Thank You

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJ Lady, yes it will stay up…..I honestly don’t know what top I was referring to!!???? Maybe a WK if so…Oct.

      1. NJ Lady

        Louis,
        The tank was A254439.
You said it was similar with 3/4 length sleeves – with a scoop neck hopefully
        thankx

  50. Pamela

Hey Louis . . . In case you haven’t noticed, Hollywood is recruiting fashion designers for ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (Betsey Johnson). Better start polishing your best pair of boogie booties now for you could be next – LoL. Can just imagine how fabulous the costumes would be if you were part of the mix!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That girl can certainly do a split!

  51. Judy

Hi Louis, I really don’t know where to begin. I just received my Linea Body leggings today and I am in total shock! They are the best thing since sliced bread! Oh my, they are beyond perfect! In all honestly when I opened the package I almost laughed out loud, thinking “what was Louis thinking?” Thinking these would only fit a child. Oh my, how wrong was I? As I slipped them on “very easy due to the stretch” they begin to just glide over my body. No tugging, no stretching, they really do just glide over the body! These are truly fantastic!

I ordered my normal panty hose size and they fit fantastic “no need to size up”. Trusting your praise of these I got one of each color but I am here to tell everyone that is not enough for me. I am getting 3 more pair of the black, “already ordered”. I know I will live in these. NEVER, have I ever had a pair of leggings this comfortable. The knees will never bag out or the bottoms don’t ride up. I have had a pair on since receiving them several hours ago! I love these. Now I want olive, burgundy, and denim.

The only thing that could make these more perfect is a long, shirt tailed, oversized boyfriend shirt out of your perfect fabric, like the kate and poet shirt.

The people that have never enjoyed a pair of leggings have no ideal what they are missing. I recommend these to everyone. These are truly the “PERFECT LEGGING”.

Thank you for making this 60 year old look and feel so good!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy….I knew if all of you would only try them you would love them….now if you want them to continue….spread the word…..that’s the only way.

  52. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Do you know when you will be presenting your new ribbed turtleneck on the air? I am hoping that it will be available to order soon.

    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m just as much in the dark as you…..it’s supposed to be for my Sept shows I have no idea if they will stick it on the 5am or the 2pm. There are an awful lot of styles for one hour.

  53. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

Below is my blog entry on the new two-strand necklaces. They are a marvel! Thank you so much. Here it is:

Delighted (and relieved!) to check in with the status of my order, which arrived today. My goldtone and gunmetal arrived in one piece, and I decided to gently shake them for good measure. So far, so good.

The gold definitely looks like the shade in the photos on Louis’s blog.

The gunmetal offered a very pleasant surprise. It has, to a degree, that quality of taking on other shades the way black pearls do. It’s not major, but it is there — and it is alluring.

Both of these necklaces (and I am guessing this would be true of the other shades offered, as well) are different. In my opinion, they are the sort of pieces found by women who are interested in fashion and unearth the original, different and charming accessories out there. Thank you, Louis!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Beautifully written as always….I usually write the way I talk….not very grammatical.

      1. Goldie76

You are very kind, Louis. As you know, I love YOUR writing; it sings with your enthusiasm.

        These necklaces “radiate” your talent.

      2. andrea

Dear Louis, I’m a retired English teacher, and reading specialist who also wrote for ten years for a living.

I enjoy reading your pieces;I was especially touched by the one you wrote about Joan Rivers.

You write very well. I never have trouble understanding your writing. That means your punctuation is spot on. It’s improper punctuation that makes the reader go back and try to decipher a sentence. I’ve never noticed poor grammar.I have bragging rights re grammar: I A’ced the Advanced Grammar course at Harvard.

Writing like one speaks is often the best writing, and very difficult for many people. Spoken language has a natural flow. Blogs are conversations. Just keep it up!

        1. andrea

I should have left the second comma in the first sentence out! HA! That will teach me to proofread.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thanks….Jac always tells me my punctuation is terrible! I would have left the comma in!

  54. Debra

    Hi Louis.

Do you have a release date for the red swing coat? Do you have an active item number?

    Thanks,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

A257286 is the style number for the swing jacket, but I have no date as to when they are going to air it. It’s supposed to be this month.

      1. Debra

Thank you Louis. I do hope there will be a shop early email for it. I am one of your big fans who cannot shop on the 25 th or 26th as I observe Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New year).

It looks great and I look forward to learning more about it.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra…I’m not on until the 29th…..happy New Year

  55. Tylerpoo

    Dear Louis,

Will the WK Vneck signature button Cardigan be in the Sept show. Please sneak peep soon. Thanks

    1. Sherry

Is this the cardigan that has pockets??? or is there another cardi coming?

        1. Sherry

Thank you!!! Can hardly wait for the sneak peeks…

  56. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. You and I recently had an exchange about the lack of a red Ponte pencil skirt to match the red Ponte zip front jacket, the issue of dye lots, etc. Well, lo and behold, there are now some A251581 red Ponte pants available (I have a pair already) and I wanted to have a skirt made out of a second pair of pants. Questions: I wear a Medium, but knowing I’ll need more material for my fabulous Ukrainian seamstress to make the pants—should I get a Large or XL (I know the waist band will have to be taken in regardless of size)? I am soooo gonna rock that red skirt!

    Sheila/Sheesh

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Since I’ve never done anything like that I don’t have an educated answer for you. It would just be a guess. Maybe your seamstress would have a better answer. A shot in the dark tells me if she is going to have to remake it and it will need a front seam because your making it from a pir of pants….I would think the bigger the better….it will give her more fabric to play with.

    2. Shari

      Sheesh
Hi, I am a seamstress and have done thousands of alterations. You will want to order the large
, not the XL. I say this because the XL waist would take ALOT of revamping and if you wear
medium, it would be way to big. As for the base of the “new skirt” . The large would be enough
fabric to reconstruct ” the skirt”. Needing to take the waist band totally off the pants is the best idea, as
it will give the newly constructed skirt a “smoother lay”.
Best of luck on your new adventure. Rock that red skirt! !!

      1. Sheesh

        I just saw this—-thanks, Shari!

  57. designista

Will you please describe the weight of the pin-stripe fabric for the jacket and pants? Is it similar to your regular ponte, or much heavier? I love the look, but don’t need another heavy jacket. Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s like my rayon/poly/span gaberdines….it’s not a ponte knit….it’s a woven and I don’t think it’s heavy at all. You can certainly wear it 3 1/2 seasons depending where you live.

      1. designista

        Thank you, perfect weight then!

  58. Cela

Just a note to say the Super Ponte leggings are out-of-this-world good ! I know you’ve already had a lot of feedback from the ladies but I had to add that if this is not couture, I don’t know what is. The quality is unbelievable and unsurpassed by any other I seen at the Q. I really don’t know where we’d be without you Louis. I get the feeling you really fight for us and insist upon the best, and I am SURE that these leggings would be $200.00 anywhere else. I got the coat also, in both colors along with the leggings. Coloring is beautiful, and matches my Taupe
WK gorgeously. I got my reviews in, brief this time, but powerful, as were ALL the reviews of these items. You made A LOT OF LADIES HAPPY !!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela, I am very happy you appreciate the quality of the fabric. I don’t think many understand how expensive rayon has become. You are very right when you say these pant’s would cost $200 and more on any designer line. If they were Theory they would probably be more. I’m not sure how well they were received since they are avail in every color and size in petite and quite a few in reg. if you really like them you might consider getting a second pair since I doubt they will be coming back. Enjoy your legging

  59. Wanda VORTERS

Hiello Louis, I am looking ts new item A259095, pinstripe jacket. I cannot tell the buttonhole type from the photo. Is this a bound buttonhole?
    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No….it is a regular button hole

  60. pattie

    Hello Louis,
You said that you would have a leather and suede jacket in September. I have been checking qvc and also this site for a sneak peek or when it is posted on the q. Do you know when they will be listing the jacket and can you tell me what colors it will be in? I love your clothing and wait patiently each season for the new fashions you bring.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pattie…it’s a suede jacket and it will be for Oct……..black, stone, olive

    2. pattie

Thank you Louis, I will continue watching. I have seen many suede jackets on qvc including the tsv today but i know that whatever you are bringing will top them all. I am happy to hear that the jacket will be in olive….. my favorite color right now.

  61. nikki

Louis, I just rec’d the seamless leggings. Wonderful, I have have to stock up because these are perfect. Love the deep dark black and love the fit. Perfection again! I am wearing it now with the poet shirt, and will change the top for my gym later.
Are there any tops coming to coordinate with these?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki….you’re my first review on the legging….so happy you are pleased with them. There isn’t any one thing that coordinates. They do match or tonal anyway to the WK colors. You really are meant to wear them with anything and everything…..Please don’t forget to leave your review on the Linea site and the Linea Fashion Forum….the more I sell the more they will order.

      1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I just posted my review of the seamless leggings. They arrived today and I am in love with these. Great weight, great stretch, great quality, perfect colors and fit my long legs in my regular size. Thank you so much for providing this new (and unique) item. I will wear them with tunics to go out and long T’s for the gym – cannot wait to see what you will bring us to wear with them!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan…I am so happy you like them….they are very unique. Since this is OLO and does mot get any publicity it will depend on all of you to spread the word so it will keep going. It’s a strange way to do business, but that’s the way it is.

    Louis,

I just want to double-check something. Am I remembering correctly that the gunmetal/amber cross will be reproduced? It was offered with those that had the double-sided look in goldtone (red/purple stone & blue/green — I think). If this is so, when will it be offered?

There was also a passing promise of another gunmetal/hematite and amber look in a necklace. When do you guess that will appear?

Thank you for any updates and info.

The cross is coming back bit I never know dates only quarters and it’s for the 4th quarter…Oct, Nov., Dec. There will be a new root beer GM necklace…nothing like the last but very pretty….don’t know when it will be delivered either.

I’m looking forward to them and now know not to hesitate but pounce instead. The only threat is not knowing they have appeared online. Thank you, Louis.

Let me first say I love your clothing and I am so glad to be able to find beautiful yet affordable clothing. I have purchased some of your leggings for the fall and winter season (which I just love) and I was wondering if you will be offering long sleeve tunics similar to A255145. I purchased two of these for summer along with your crop leggings and they have become one of my favorite summer outfits.

Thanks for any information you have and thanks for all the sneak peeks you post. I really enjoy reading the information you provide for each item. I am looking forward to your September shows!

I would love some tunics too! Hopefully some will be coming to wear over the new seamless leggings!

When is the wing collar shirt going to be available? I must not miss out on that.
Also can you say more about the forthcoming peacoat?

Living in LA I’ve never worn tights but am about to change, yours are so delicious. I have the stripe, the herringbone and the lace for starters.

I have no idea when the shirt will be posted….It was supposed to be on my Sept. 29th show as was the pinstripe suit, but they already posted that two weeks early. So any day or just before the show……What else would you like to know about the Pea Jacket? I thought I covered everything on my Sneak Peek……………so glad you are trying the tights. I see lots of women on Rodeo during the fall winter season in tights.

Beano, check the Archives link from the drop down menu to the right to see the Sneak Peek of the Pea Coat—that’s where to go to find Sneak Peeks you may have missed. They are there, you just have to hunt a little for them. Hope that helps.
