I received A296898 Byzantine Multicross Necklace yesterday and I am so pleased with the workmanship. The quilloche is very well done and the finish on the metal is very interesting. It is not a bright finish and not a finish wash of a dark stain but looks like it has a worn patina. Have all the other necklaces and earrings you show with and also many other pieces I have collected from years past. Thank, I love this necklace.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think you may be the first to get the necklace…..so happy you like it. The necklace is much prettier than the QVC photo, which is accurate, but has no character

  2. Romy

Hello Louis, Is the hunter green color in the whisper knit pants the same color as the A236148 spruce boucle tunic? Thanks kindly, Romy

  3. Pamela

    Dear Louis:

Truly enjoy’d all your presentations yesterday. I selected the WK Stone Skirt with the Swing Sweater. Plan to ‘rock it!’ just like Kate & Brenda – it’s a fabulous look in my favorite Linea soft suiting.

Thanks for a great Fall collection – you keep me excited about fashion.

p.s. You did good – Jac’s new boots are very sexy

  4. Debbie M.

    Dear Louis,

I just received THE COAT! WOW WOW! It is beautiful! I was surprised how light it is. It is solo soft! Thank You solo much!!

  5. Judy

Louis, Are you going to show Holiday outfits?

  6. Cela

    Dearest Louis,

Awesome, delightful, wonderful fashion show…in a word, FABU !!! I am sure of it, because during the LIVE CHAT, several women fainted at the sight of the reversible fur coat.
Just one question, is the Posh grey sweater warm or cool grey and will it match the charcoal pencil skirt that’s coming.
And thanks to the Q for putting these cardis on Easy Pay and giving us the opportunity to add MORE Posh knits to our wardrobes.

    Ciao,

    Cela

  7. Tylerpoo

Will there be another stone color in a skirt, if I recall there has been only one stone skirt in the WK.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tylerpoo…there will not be another WK solid Stone skirt. In Jan there will be a marled jersey longer skirt in Stone, but it is not a solid color.

  8. Romy

Hi Louis, I was wondering if the color taupe in the whisper knit sweater A251578 is the same colored taupe as the legging A257338? Thanks kindly, Romy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Romy….that was the idea…..that the two taupes would match. I had high hopes since both garments were both Rayon based. The same standard was given for both….one to a yarn mill for the WK sweater and the other to a fabric mill for the Super Ponte fabric……All of that said…..it depends what light you look at them under. In day like they look pretty good….not a match but they blend…..In artificial light …like florescent….they are less good. One turns a little pink and the other a little yellow. Honestly I don’t mind them, but if this difference will bother you then I say no. However, I doubt you will find a better match.

  9. Chris/Jazzmom

    Dear Louis,

I read that the pinstripe pants will not be coming back and I am wondering if number sized pants vs letter sized pants are having an increase in the return rates? I think letter sizing is a bit more forgiving if a person goofs on choosing their correct size. What do you think? Should the pants go back to letter sizing again and do you think by doing that it will decrease the return ratio?

    Regards,

    Chris

    1. Maia

Louis, I prefer letter sizing because I need an XL. I’m shaped like misses model, not a plus model, so xl works for me. In numerical sizing, plus sizes begin with size 16 or 18, I believe. I choose 18 (tops) or 20 (pants) in numerical, so I get the plus shape, not the misses shape I need. I can’t buy Linea numerical jackets because the sleeves are too short. Linea XL jackets & tops have that extra inch or so in sleeve length I need.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Maia…..the way the clothes are purchased and the sizing method with which they are purchased is up to QVC buyers. You will be finding more and more garments are numerically sized across many brands especially the wovens. Knits are another story because of the stretch factor, where they feel more comfortable with SML sizing. They have done studies, and have found that clothes with numerical sizing get less returns. This is not a decision I nor my manufacturer make. The orders come in with the size break down either numerical or SML and we have to produce accordingly. QVC also has sleeve lengths and pant lengths that we must follow. Actually many measurements we must adhere to or they they rejected in the fit process.

        1. Maia

Louis, thank you for taking time to explain the sizing issue.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…..according to QVC the opposite is correct. They find with woven fabrics they get less returns once the customers realizes her correct size. With SML and woven garments they have found the customer complaints about being too small or mostly too BIG was a bigger problem. Most knit garments will be SML. That is the result of their studies.

      1. Cathy in PA

Speaking only for myself of course, and a difficult fit always … I can get a much better fit in numerical sizes PLUS, as there’s roughly 2 inches difference between each size, whereas in the letter sizes, there’s 4 inches difference. Now, admittedly, I still have to study measurements, think a bit, and occasionally guess wrong, but in numerical I’m always right between two sizes. So, I really appreciate numerical sizing!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy….I think that is exactly what QVC is finding. They don’t make these decisions willy nilly. They really keep records and do studies on what gets returned and why, and have found XML has a greater return rate with woven fabric garments. Regardless as I explained…my manufacturer and I don’t get a vote as to how they order.

      2. Chris/Jazzmom

Thanks for getting back to me on this! I still prefer the letter sizing especially if I cannot try on (as say if I was in a department store shopping).

        Regards,
        Chris

    3. Barbara

      Hi Chris/Jazzmom,

Maybe, I can help. QVC provides exact measurements for Louis’ garments. In other words, the measurements in inches for the waist, hips, length, thigh, etc. on these pants are given on the website. I didn’t notice these measurements were posted for quite some time, so if you are aware of it, disregard, but it might be helpful for others.

Below are the pants’ exact waist measurements from size 00 to 16 and 18W to 28W on the second row.

      Waist Circumference Relaxed 25.5 26.5 27.5 28.5 29.5 30.5 31.5 33 34.5 36.25
      Waist Circumference Relaxed 38.25 40.5 42.5 44.625 46.875 49.125

I might add, these measurements are large compared to sizing outside QVC.

Here is the description for the pinstripe pants. Look for “Click Here” for the exact measurements in the third paragraph below the description.

“Tailored to you. Done in a pinstripe print, these ankle-length trousers from Linea by Louis Dell’Olio give you a sleek silhouette, while elastic at the back waist offers a fine-tuned fit. From Linea by Louis Dell’Olio.

Ankle length, elastic at back waist
Semi-fitted; at the waist; straight leg; missy/plus inseam measures 32″
      68% polyester/28% rayon/4% spandex
      Machine wash, hang dry
      Imported

For more detailed Fit and Sizing information, please refer to the Sizing tab above. To see the specific garment measurements for this item, click here.”

It is easy to decide on your size if you know your own measurements. There shouldn’t be any goofs unless sizing is off on the actual pant. This is very
common on QVC with other designers, but not with Louis. I ordered two different sizes of both the black and navy pinstripe pants for those times we gain and lose weight. All were sized correctly.

These measurements provided by QVC have worked well for me as far as Louis goes. I personally like numerical sizing as garments fit better.

One of my complaints with letter sizing is shoulder sizing. Mine are 16 inches, 16 1/2 OK, normally the size designers use for sizes 4 through 8, but smalls and some mediums usually have 14-15 inch shoulders on QVC. This looks ridiculous on my boney and pronounced shoulders compared to my narrow bone structure. It really looks bad on those who are overweight.

On the size mediums they make the garment body larger without adjusting the shoulders leaving them small. I know the narrow shoulder look has been popular for some time, but I don’t follow fads.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to fit everyone, me included.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…I agree with you 100% about the shoulder measurements! and have had many arguments with the QVC fit department over this. The idea of a broader shoulder making the hips look narrower is TRUE. Narrow shoulders make hips look bigger. The best thing for a pair shaped women is to equalize her hips with a broader shoulder or she will look out of balance. This however has nothing to do with SML or numerical sizing….it has to do with styling which is where I have the most arguments….where style seams should go should be left to the designer not the fitter.

        1. Barbara

          Hi Louis,

We need to help you complain about QVC’s shoulder measurements. Will do. It’s one of several reasons I no longer purchase clothes on QVC, except yours.

I missed all those years you have been on until looking at the program guide one time during the past 3-4 months.

I normally only watched QVC during the Christmas season.

  10. Kate

LDO–love, love the new glasses! So, we’re done for fall fashion, but there’s still more jewelry to come right? Any news on the reorder jet beads, new shrimp earring, and the TDF reversible cross pendant? Anything else I’ve missed?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….the glasses are actually old Ralph Lauren tortoise glasses. I wear them when my eyes are tired. Going to bed at 10pm and getting up at 4am….more than my eyes were tired! ……I will list all of the jewelry that’s still coming soon. Unfortunately with OLO pieces I only know the month we are delivering to QVC, but I never know when they will get around to posting them. There is a crystal bracelet, the crystal shrimp earring and a drop earring still coming.

      1. Kate

I think we saw the crystal bracelet on Jac during the WK skirt demo, but did I see a black version on Kate as well at some point yesterday?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The crystal bracelet on Jac is coming…the jet bracelet on Jacqui on PM Style is not….it’s part of my vintage collection. If Kate was wearing a black bracelet [don’t recall] then it too was part of my collection and not a QVC piece.

  11. Chris S.

    Dear Louis,
Sorry to hear the whisper knit pants won’t be reordered. I took a chance and ordered the whisper knit pants in petite. The black fit beautifully, but navy was too short and tight. I sent the navy back and asked for another navy in the same size. The second pair of navy fit beautifully like the black. I wonder if the issue and reason for not reordering was due to inconsistency in sizing. These are beautiful pants. It’s too bad they won’t be coming back.
I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of my black reversible coat. That is exactly the length for which I’ve been searching! Thank you. Now we need a spring coat in the same longer length.

    Louis,

Beautiful show! Your talent always shows through.

    LCJAZZ87@GMAIL.COM

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No tuxedo….it’s a long tragic story.

      1. Sherry

Would it be possible to try for a Tuxedo again next year??? Sure would love the chance to get one.

  14. Kathryn Elbert

I am looking for your signature black beret that all your models wear with your gorgeous coat. Where my I purchase it?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Any where that sells berets. they are just basic berets

  15. CC

    A228554
Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Leather Blazer with Knit Sleeves. Navy would be terrific, it would go with all the linea wk in navy. However so would love this jacket in the delicious new clay color! The clay color is gorgeous it’s a chameleon like color and I think could work on just about any coloring. It makes me feel like drinking apple cider and making pecan pies. That yummy.

  16. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Hi Louis – I’m planning outfits for the upcoming holidays. Since 10/27 is the last big show, I’m assuming there will be no new holiday outfits? I’m thinking about the sequin pencil skirt and tank from last year and am wondering which hosiery design would you select to wear with either the red or the black for evening party-wear?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

With the black sequin I would do the all over lace…..or the silver or gold lurex depending on jewelry……for something simple…the black sheer.

      1. Cathy in PA

Thanks for asking this Susan … and BIG Thanks for answering it, Louis 🙂 Good thing my 2 giant bags of Linea Hosiery showed up today … multiples in nearly everything. A thought for the future … trouser socks?

        1. Sherry

I’m in for the trouser socks to wear with pants…I don’t wear tights with my pants. Wouldn’t have to worry about sizes…LOL.

          1. Maia

Actually, some of use need plus socks! I wear size 12 shoes! I saw Passione socks on QVC last night, and they carry regular AND plus (shoe sizes 10-12). Louis, if you do trouser socks, please try to offer plus, too!

  17. Andi

I believe chestnut would be a very nice color in your leather jacket

  18. l jazz

    Louis
Thank you 4 a terrific fall line up
Navy or rich brown for the leather or true cordovan color as well
    Blouse
Pink lt yellow olive green rich taupe or khaki color and esp white

  19. diane bloch

So glad I got mine in all colors. QVC is really bugging me lately with the cancellations and no reorders. Off the subject
I went to a party last night and wore the ponte leggings, asymmetric shirt and gold palm frond short necklace. Felt like a million bucks. Thanks Louis!

  20. Yoko

Louis to answer your question regarding the leather jacket reorder I would like to have this jacket in a true British Tan. Second choice hot milk chocolate brown. Thank you for asking.

  21. Writer with Flair (Patti)

I would love to see the leather jacket in a navy color and the wing collar shirt in a pale pink. Thanks for considering our requests. I am loving all my hunter green pieces and the new hosiery items. Thanks for bring back the Whisper Knit pants. They are amazing.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti…..glad you are enjoying your WK pants….Unfortunately, as I feared…they will not be reordered.I guess after three strikes this is the end of the road for WK Pants……too bad they are my personal favorite pants.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

OK now THAT’s MORE bad news! I can’t adjust to the WK mid-calf skirt not getting reordered and now this. I worried this might happen and purchased 2 black and 2 navy as well as 1 green. Now my size is gone in the petite version so I can’t order more back-ups even if I wanted to. I’ll have to take really good care of these ….. (she wrote while sitting at her desk in the outfit she wore to church ~ the whisper knit mid-calf in petrol blue and the petrol blue OTO WK open front cardi…) :/

      2. Jane J.

I have my “hoard” of 8 of the WK pants — 3 (walnut, tarragon, black) and 5 of the new pants (2 black, 2 navy, HG). I had a feeling that this might happen and I didn’t want to be without backups. I think the problem might have been that customers didn’t fully understand what kind of pants they are — that they are knit pants and not ponte or woven. Yes, this is very sad news.

I also wanted to tell you how much I continue to love wearing the blazer with seaming and button detail A229475. I have the teal, topaz and fushcia — great tailoring, luxe fabric and the colors are so vibrant. Thanks for bringing us such beautiful clothes.

      3. bcm

        Louis.

So sad to hear the bad news about the WK pants! Was it because of heavy returns or poor sales? Doesn’t make sense, it was a huge hit on the Forum, but then again, I guess we are Louie’s fashion groupies, aren’t we?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t have the details…probably both. While the black sold very well the hunter and navy were slow.

          1. Susan (aka carlytwila)

This is really so disappointing. I love my WK pants. They have an odd color swatch on this year’s navy pant. I looks more like a bright blue. I bet newbees don’t realize these are in your beautiful deep rich Linea navy. I truly believe if there was a presentation AND black, navy, walnut, perhaps a very deep charcoal that these would become an essential. So sad…..

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

That may be partly true, but that doesn’t explain the high returns. They simply aren’t for everyone…like a matte jersey or Feather Jersey pant. Most women prefer a more substantial fabric.

      4. Merrylass

I am sorry to read that the whisper knit pants will not be reordered. I am new to Linea (my first purchase was this summer) but I have managed to buy almost every black and navy whisper knit and ponte knit item in my size! The quality is wonderful and I love the classic lines as much as the Anne Klein pieces I wore years ago.

How disappointing that the whisper knit pants will not be reordered – will the ponte knit pants be reordered?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Merrylass…first are you Scottish?…and welcome to Linea! Yes, it is very disappointing about the WK pant, but I’m not surprised. I just don’t think sweater knit pants are for everyone, and I don’t think some women who bought them did’t totally understand what they were getting. The ponte pant is being reordered. I guess the fabric is more universally understood.

          1. Merrylass

No, I am not Scottish – it’s a nickname from my childhood. At least the ponte knit pants will be reordered – they are excellent additions to any wardrobe and I look forward to adding to mine.

  22. Merrylass

Another vote for navy blue (my core wardrobe colour) and a vote for a rich burgundy as well.

  23. Kathy

    Hi Louis
My vote is for navy in the blazer.
    Kathy/Wis

  24. Sharon L

In response to your colors query, I would love the leather jacket in navy; it’s so rare and I have so many of your pieces in navy.

  25. Renee

    Dear Louis & Jac
    Looking forward to Monday
    Have a safe trip.

  26. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

My free form necklace in olive and gold arrived today – what a special piece! I already wrote a review on QVC and asked them to release more of your new jewelry. I don’t want to wait until December to do my Christmas shopping!
Looking forward to seeing you & Jac on Monday,
    Dariann

  27. Pamela

    Hi Louis:

Looking forward to your upcoming shows. Always a treat to spend a full two hours with you & Jac via the tele . . .but, it goes so fast!

Hope you style the new WK A-Line skirt with some tall boots as the model walks the runway – curious how this gore design moves on the body?

    See you soon.

      1. Pamela

Any way you style it, I’ll love it just as much as I adore all my Linea Body tights. Anxiously awaiting the nudes to ship.

Have a great show Dear Designer.

  28. Debbie M.

    Dear Luis,

I have to tell you how much I adore the ENR swing tunic. I bought all 4 colors and if you had 10 colors I would get them. This is one of my top 5 WK and I have them all. It is a cool 55 today on LI and I am wearing the mulberry. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

    1. Debbie M.

SORRY I misspelled your name…darn spell check. It hates me.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….your my first review…so glad you love love love it!

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

I’m the 2nd review!! Love it and the points are not too long– they are just right on me!! I stayed with my usual Linea sizing in WK tops. Still no click here garment measurements listed on that particular webpage. Maybe a call from you might fix that? Feedback message was sent by a few of us and still no changes done.

        Regards,
        Chris

  29. Jane J.

Hi Louis, I just read that Jac is sizing up in the faux fur reversible coat. I had ordered my regular size because the Click Here measurements looked good for me, but now I’m wondering. Any sizing advice for us? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I told her the minute she wrote that some would question if they should do the same….NO…Jac likes everything either small or big. She buys larges in sweat shirts because she likes them big. She likes this kind of coat to be voluminous….she can carry it and knows how to wear over sized things….most women feel overwhelmed…..She’s a size 6 body with size 10 shoulders so she can wear and carry clothes most women can’t.That’s why she was a very successful model here ans in Europe. Stick to your normal size

      1. Jane J.

Thank you! I thought the measurements looked fine for me, but I figured I better check because they’ll be all gone after the show on Monday. TYhanks, again.

  30. Goldie76

Thank you, Louis (and Cela). I’m going to try it in olive. As I wrote before, maybe I can add all my new “olives” to the martinis I’ll be drinking to forget how much money I’ve spent on my beloved Linea fashions lately.

(Just kidding. I actually don’t like martinis. I’m a wine girl — and that’s about it. Love the taste, plus it is good for my heart. What more could I ask for?)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Just think of it this way Goldie….this is the last show of the year, and there won’t be anything new , apparel wise , until Jan 30th

      1. Goldie76

        Dear Louis,

You have me laughing out loud with your perfect rejoinder.

Okay, now I feel better for spending so freely lately. Your garments and jewelry are so beautiful, and I admit to my terrible weakness for them. But since it all coming to a halt soon, I’m going to be okay.

  31. Happy Lady

Hi Louis, Is it too early to ask what items will be presented on each of the 3 shows on Monday Oct 27th? I apologize for calling the new A Line a “flippy” skirt. I came over and read your description and went back and corrected the information. I do so love my “Missoni skirt” and it does move at the bottom when I walk. The information on the item page gives no details about the skirt. Also on new pants, A259702, there is no mention of elastic across the back waistband. Is there? Once again I wonder why they don’t ask the designers to send in descriptions of their items? Seems so logical. Can’t wait to see the new coat! And love this new color, stone. Thanks!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is elastic across the back….The morning show with have the ponte skirt, the silk/cash TN and the WK scarf…….PM style will have the new swing WK ENR.tunic. The 1-3 pm show will be all new and reorders

  32. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Whisper knit ENR skirt now up for ordering ~ A259625 ~ and it sure does look like a beauty. Already in my cart and soon to be on it’s way “home”. I’m wearing my mid-calf skirt to death already and we haven’t hit the really cold season yet. Just LOVE these WK skirts!

      1. Goldie76

Louis, is this new “flippy” skirt cut the same as the Missoni-style skirt? There was mention of this on the community blog.

Is there an obvious A-line to this new skirt? Thank you.

        1. Cela

It’s a six-gore skirt Goldie, it flares at the hem. Cela.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie…..they are similar in that they are not straight or pencil shape. But the Missoni type skirt is a cut and sew fabric and the WK is a sweater skirt. The materials are very different and though they may both be a-line …they hang differently

      2. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Black 🙂 I have the mid-calf in every color with an extra back-up black one. You know. Just in case 😉 I’ve gotten so many classic pieces this year, I couldn’t be more pleased… honestly, a wardrobe fit for a princess.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…I’m glad you got two of the long black skirts, because it doesn’t look like it’s going to be reordered next year.I think the colors scared women away….but with any black top and black boots they really are fabulous…and with the matching sweaters for that column of color you can’t get more designer than that.Oh well….I have to stop doing color bottoms…it kills the chance of a reorder……brown, navy, black and grey from now on.

          1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Well……I don’t know. I think hunter green need to be on that list. And I’m missing the camel. And the stone I just ordered yesterday in the pencil skirt. And then could we really leave out the perfectly pink in the pencil skirt? I HATE killing the chance of a reorder because I think the mid-calf is the skirt of the year for me. And honestly, trusting you, I stepped outside the box and found out that I LOVE nutmeg (including the drape front OTO, the zippered sweater and the nutmeg scarf). I might not have jumped for petrol blue, but now that I have it, plus the OTO drape front cardigan – you are exactly right about throwing on black and you’re done. And I’ll gravitate to the column of color every time when the length is there. Guess I might have to think about a 3rd black skirt – you know. Just in case 😉

          2. jmarie

I hope you can work around this. I know for me the key is the hose. I won’t wear a pencil or any shorter skirt without hose, and my most flattering look is to match hose color to skirt color. If I pair a colored skirt with a black top, I’ll do black hose, but I like the option of more colors than black. Aubergine is a perfect example: with the new aubergine tights, I have many more combinations possible, as well as a total aubergine column. I think the key is expanding the tights line to have complementary colors to the bottoms offered each season–and then let color rule! BTW–we really need olive tights! 🙂

      3. irma

I ordered all three of the skirts. I love this length so it’s going to be great. I also already received the olive and mulberry tunics and loved them so much I turned right around and ordered the stone and the black!

I honestly can say I am going to be glad for the break until January….

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear irma….I am so happy you love your tunics and skirts. I hope you realize you can wear them TOGETHER! They really work well together. Jac wore her Mulberry tunic with black jeans out to dinner last night. She also wore the reversible gold cross with the red and purple stone. It has been reordered. I know you will get lots of wear out of your new sweaters because they work with everything casual or dressed up…..work, church out in the evening and play. Just a change of bottoms and accessories and you are off…..dressing made easy!

  33. Margo ducane

    Hi louis,

I just ordered your new suede jacket A259613 . QVC has the colour Olive as a choice. I thought it was supposed to be Hunter Green? I
Have ordered the Turtleneck sweater and pants in Hunter Green. Has the Q mis listed the green colour name?

    Cheers

    Margo

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Margo….they are correct….it was always Olive.check out my sneak peek. The Hunter Green goes with the H.Green boucle swing jacket and the H. Green ENR WK cardigan with the silver buttons.

  34. cynthia

please get lever back earrings and cross item j270120 in silver, they are never in stock and i would like to buy 5 pairs. i have one pair and they are the best cross on the market, please advise me what to do to find these…

  35. Enjay

Louis I bought the free form bead necklace in root beer, and I can’t stop wearing it! So far, it’s looked fantastic with a black sweater dress and boots, jeans, white shirt and tweed blazer, and grey cashmere t- shirt with grey drawstring pants. It’s a fantastic warm neutral that seems to work with anything. I just love the gunmetal with the warm amber-brown beads. Total winner!

  36. Sharon

Louis I need your advice regarding the new gaberdine pants. I am a plus size gal who carries her weight in my bottom. Would these pants be to lean for me and are they a casual everyday pant or dressier pants. I ordered my swing sweaters and would like the pants to match.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…it’s hard for me to answer you….we do fit the pants separately on plus models and the patterns are different for the plus sizes trying to maintain the look. It’s best to wait and see what the most vital measurements are that you would need to see, and then make your decision..

      1. Sharon

I went to the beauty salon the other day and all the girls had leggings and fitted pants and and no tunic to cover and they looked awful from the backend. I’m sorry but some women should not be wearing legging and tight fitting pants. So I guess that why I was asking. Well I ordered my new jewelry today and that great. I was wondering if Jac should write a book about her life as a model starting as a young lady. I would bet she has a lot of stories to tell and certainly would make good reading don’t you think. I keep on seeing ads on a new play on Broadway with Nathan Lane , does that look like something that you and Jac would got to see?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I agree with you…when a woman or a girl is wearing leggings she should have her rear and front covered. The only ones who can get away with it are dancers working out……..Not a huge fan of either Nathan Lane or Mathew Broderick so we will be taking a pass.

  37. Seka

The Art Deco Patterned Dress A259946 is now available on Q!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ll take a look….I’m afraid to see what they put on her legs and feet!

  38. Cela

    Dear Louis,
There are so many shoes, boots, etc. on the market. Some even have plastic heels. Eh! Seems I remember a blog in which I learned you made shoes at one time? Please tell us what we need to look for in a shoe or boot that ensures we get a quality product (that won’t fall apart in a year).

    Thank you.

    Cela.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

With shoes….you get what you pay for…there are no short cuts when it comes to good shoes..shoes made in Italy are the best quality…..any good store that carries well know established brands will take back shoes that don’t preform well…..an all leather show….heels, soles etc are hallmarks of quality.

  39. Kathy

    Dear Louis
The mulberry poncho arrived yesterday, love the color and the mulberry Byzantine is on the way. Looking forward to the walnut/mulberry in the future.
My sister-law saw me wearing A257302 the lace print top and a day later I get an e-mail telling me she ordered the exact same top and will bet the proud owner of a Louis Dell Olio garment !
    Kathy/Wis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

  41. Renee

    Dear Louis
Last night when we went to the movies I wore my new grey Shetland and the lady that works at the Theater loved my sweater I told her I got it from QVC and gave the item number and showed her on my phone that it came in more colors. When we were leaving the movies she was waiting for me and told me she bought 1 of every colors I think you have a new Linea Lady!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You Ladies are my best advertizements! Thanks for spreading the word!

  42. Renee

    Dear Louis
Thank you! for the pink sweater
you made my day!!! In the Byzantine I got the clay. And the Shetland I got Clay and the gray. I am going to go back and order the hunter I love the fit and the sweater is sooooo soft.
By any chance did you see the movie Gone Girl? Tonight is movie night I have not heard if anybody liked it?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

We did…..we both read the book, and thought it followed the book pretty closely. We did like it..it’s a wee bit long…we also like the Judge with Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr……We also want to see “Birdman”.

      1. Pamela

        “Birdman” – Two Thumbs Up!

  43. Renee

    Dear Louis
I just received the Byzantine Print OMG! Beautiful! And the Shetland Cardigan and I Love them the fit is true to size. One
question I asked you last year a
    about a perfectly pink cardigan
I would Love to have one. Its my favorite color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Glad you liked the cardigan and Byzantine top…what colors did you get? The pink cardigan is coming this spring.

      1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Be still my heart! I THOUGHT it was coming at some point but some had given up hope waiting for it to appear and I was questioning my own memory on this. Thank you for the reassurance that it will indeed come “this spring” 🙂

      2. Cathy in PA

        Yippee!

  44. Bonnie

Louis, I’m sorry to bother you again about the new swing sweater. You said to order my regular size in this, but while I was waiting for your reply, I called QVC CS to get measurements. The chest measurement for this sweater in the XL is actually LARGER than the 1X (1X is my regular size in your cotton/span tunics, etc.). Shall I still go with the 1X? Whenever the chest measurements are larger in the smaller size, it’s confusing. Thanks Louis!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie that is confusing….The xl is larger than the 1X? Let me ask my someone who knows more about this and I’ll get back to you

      1. Bonnie

Louis, I’ve decided to go with my regular size (1X) even though the chest measurement is a half-inch smaller than the XL. I see there’s a review already here (Debbie M.) and she didn’t mention anything about sizing issues. And QVC just reduced the price to a featured price – Yay!! See you Monday!

  45. Happy Lady

Louis, do you have any information on A259617 the poncho. I ordered on 10/17 (5 days ago) and stayed in “pending”. Now says to contact customer service. I called customer service and they are clueless. You mentioned there is an email going out. Do you have any information on this issue? I don’t know whether I am getting this poncho or not. The item page is down so if it is an oversell issue there is no way to find out. What’s up? Thanks

  46. Nancy

Hi Louis, I am the first lady who asked about the gold chain on my fish necklace. Sorry for this delay. I’ve had some computer problems and couldn’t check your column for several days. I’ll wait for further instructions from you.

    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy ship the piece to:
      TCJC LLC
      3B Industrial Drive
      Smithfield, R.I.
      02971
Enclose with the piece a brief letter stating you are a Linea QVC customer, what the problem is, your return address, and your phone number or e-mail…….that’s it.
Sorry for the trouble. Let me know how it works out….regards, Louis

      1. Nancy

Thank you so much Louis. Can I just ship the chain minus the fish? I really hate to take a chance on losing that fish!! Or do you think I will need to do that so they can match the tone?

So sorry for this delay – again. My granddaughter was in a serious accident and I have been at the hospital non stop for the last 5 days. How quickly our lives can change!

  47. nikki

    Louis,
I just rec’d the olive and stone ponchos, love them, very neutral and beautiful. I was going to order the olive swing sweater and was wondering if I could wear that with the new suede jacket in olive? I wasn’t sure about the look and wanted your opinion.
    thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki…I haven tried them together. I will and let you know…my first thought is the swing hanging out of the bottom may not work….if it was straight and longer no problem…..but a swing style …we’ll see.

      1. nikki

Ok I look forward to your expert opinion.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki….I tried the swing tunic in olive with the olive suede jacket and SURPRISE SURPRISE….I love them together….It’s a very fresh combination. I will say it might not be for everyone, and I like it best with only the top 2 or 3 buttons of the jacket buttoned……but with the olive WK pencil or the new Olive slim pant it looks fabulous.

          1. nikki

Thank you for your response, I will go ahead and order the olive swing tunic.

  48. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
What kind of email & who would get it? SHould I size down in the poncho?

Do you know when the assymetrical hem knit tunic with sleeves will be on (similar to tank #a254439?

  49. debby

Would love one of your darker grey pearl necklaces – the beads were great but just a little big -color was right on – which other necklaces should I look at – Love your designs!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

the triple stand gray pearl necklace is beautiful with the tiny gunmetal spacer beads….there is a picture of it with the wing collar shirts and on the stone sweater under the stone / black coat

      1. debby

Looked -are the pearls light or dark grey and is the long pearl necklace light or a Tahitian, darker, grey? Thanks! I always get compliments!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The triple strand is a lighter gray….the long pearls are pretty dark, but not like Tahitian which can have a purple caste.

  50. Sherry

I just checked the Important Dates tab and see that November only has 2 appearances and December is empty, and them back with 2 one hour shows for January 2015…That break will give us some time to recover from all the goodness that has been coming our way for this Fall/Winter thus far…and probably a welcomed break for you and Jac to get-a-way or just stay at home and chill and enjoy your baby girls.

I’m sure there will be quite a bit of sneak peek withdrawal during this time…but we will survive…LOL.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

can’t wait for these Nov. hits to be over! Hope they don’t pull any surprises!!

  51. Happy Lady

HELP! New WK Swing Sweater is up for sale (A259620) but there are no “click here measurements”. Need bust and waist. Could the measurements be added, please.

    1. Sherry

      Also…the Poncho has been removed???

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Found out a special e-mail is going out so they are holding it until it has been sent

        1. Kate

They’re so foolish to not let us do reviews of this garment now in advance of that email. There will be questions about fabric and fit which those of us who’ve received ours could help answer! I ordered my regular XS and the fit is excellent. By the way, I just love mine and am going to wear it on this chilly, rainy, fall morning.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

I have sent your request to the buyers…that all I can do

  52. Dodie

Thanks, Louis, and you to , Diane. Only thing that bothered me is the new colors have been removed. I’ve played the reorder game as well, but this time they don’t even give the option! Just keep checking, I guess. Those of us serious about our Linea never give up!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The lace jacket isn’t due until late spring….April or May…don’t worry I’ll let you know well in advance.

  53. Dodie

Hi Louis: Yesterday I received a letter from QVC that my wait-list order for 223652, the Lace jacket we all love, was cancelled in both the new colors, white and navy. So disappointed; had really been anticipating these ever so versatile colors. Do you have any idea what happened to them, or if they will ever make an appearance? Have all the other colors, and am wondering if this is QVC speak for, “they a’int coming back”. Thanks, Dodie

    1. diane bloch

Dodie- The same thing happened to me. I was WL for 3 new colors. I received a letter from QVC saying they were hoping
to receive a shipment in Jan. or Feb. Same dates also for pink, grey cardigans, pink denim jacket and pink safari shirt and tank. Hope this helps.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dodie…..I have no idea how their operations work, but this happens all the time. The buyer places the reorder, it then gets posted on the Linea site, you all see it, place your wait list order and then it gets canceled. It is a glitch in their system. The computer program will only hold a wait list order for a limited period and then cancels it if the garment hasn’t arrived. It’s stupid I know, but I can assure you the lace jackets are on order for late this spring and you will be able to get them

  54. diane bloch

Lily- I’m glad you got your bead necklaces fixed. A little more info please. Is there a phone number to call? Or do we just send the necklaces to the address Louis posted with the request? How is payment handled? Sorry for all the questions
but I want to write down all the info in case I need it. By the way didn’t you mention in a previous post you plan to travel
soon? If so have a safe trip. Thanks.

    1. Lilly in VA

Diane, I just sent the two necklaces to the address provide by Louis. I included a note about buying them from QVC an that I wanted them restrung. I included my home address and phone number in case they wanted to talk to me about something. I did not send in any money, just the two necklaces. I received them both back in excellent condition. So the only money I was out was the $4 to ship to RI.

      1. diane bloch

Lily -Thank you so much for the info. Now I can wear my necklaces with peace of mind. My friend is leaving
for a trip to Scotland and Ireland this week. The two of you must be starting a trend.

      2. Tylerpoo

Lilly would you please share the address. Thanks

    2. Lilly in VA

And yes, I am traveling to Ireland next month. I am getting excited. Thanks for the good wishes. lgt

  55. DeLois

Louis, I am fortunate to have your WK Olive dress from this season and checking my closet I find a pair of Olive pants from a few seasons ago (yours) that appear to not be very wide at the ankle, and I also have one of your v-neck sweaters from awhile back in Olive and and Olive satin blouse with mandarin collar. I am hoping that the Olive suede jacket coming will go with all of these items………also have accordian skirt and sweater in Tarragon. I am hoping that they all blend and work together. What are your thoughts on that?????? They are all from your collections.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear DeLois…..they should all work beautifully together. If they look good with the olive dress….that’s the key. You have a wonder full collection of Olive pieces. Did you order the Byzantine mosaic print top in the Clay? it look fabulous with all of the olives and tarragon pieces.

  56. Lilly in VA

Hi Louis, Just a quick update, I sent my two chocolate strand necklaces to be restrung to your manufacturer two weeks agao. I got the back yesterday and they are just perfect. Thank you for all that you do for your Linea Ladies.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lilly…..thank you for letting me know how it worked out. I am glad you can enjoy your necklaces!

  57. jmarie

Sad to hear of the death of Oscar de la Renta. Such beautifully feminine designs. Any reminiscences to share, Louis?

  58. Birdie

    Dear Louis,

The tag on the Shetland sweaters says “hand-wash;” I don’t see why I couldn’t machine-wash them, though. What do you think? Linea Ladies, what’s been your experience?

    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Birdie….I haven’t used this yarn before so I do not have experience with it. However I believe some of the ladies have already washed it with good results so that can give you a better answer.

  59. Luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis I am so in love with the perfectly pink all I am missing is the cardigan. Will this be restocked since it’s so insanely popular.
    Keep up the fabulous work!

    1. Sherry

If I remember right the P Pink WK cardigan isn’t coming until Jan, along with a Gray…is that right Louis???

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

        I think that’s correct

      2. Luvitorleaveit

Thanks I will look out for it then and gray too wonderful.

  60. Ellen

OOPS..sorry for all of the multiple postings. Something was wrong with the CAPTCHA code and wouldn’t let me post…then did multiples.

  61. NJ Lady

    Louis,
I wore the shetland v neck sweater and the silver jacket with the center tie. Got many compliments, thank you.

The assymetrical tunic with sleeves like A254439. When will it be coming and in what colors?

Also the poncho – order in regular size?????

  62. Ellen

Thanks, Louis. I just got a conversion chart, and the 24 line is a 15mm button. Initially, I tried to measure with the M & J chart, and button looked to be 12mm. I would have ordered incorrectly. That is why you are the best!

  63. Ellen

Oh thanks..now, what does that mean? Should I look for something at M & J that is 24 line or does that convert to a millimeter size? Love your buttons, but don’t wear gold. I also got the black and the hunter green, cardigans and they have the great silver and pewter buttons. Thanks, again. On the hunt!

  64. Ellen

Hi Louis..didn’t receive an answer to my question about the size of the buttons on the newest cardigan. I would like to change the gold buttons on the navy cardigan. I think they are 12 mm. Hard to find size if I am correct. Thanks…sorry to be a pain!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ellen….I just got your answer….the buttons on the cardigan are 24 line.

  65. Pamela

1st Snow – Winter has arrived in Anchorage – time to break out the boucle!

    1. Renee

      Dear Louis
Thanks for letting me know it was a little long! I am not a fan of long movies when you sit through transformers and fall asleep twice and its still going on I wanted to rip all my hair out and get a root canal. So we will see the Judge and I want to see Birdman. Let us know when you see it
