Louis, The Peony Pink hoodie and the black A262070 pants will be in my closet in a few short days! WOO HOO!!! The early bird gets the hoodie!!
It’s the first thing I did this morning.
So glad I checked the click here sizing- I went up a size, due to the
% of cotton content for shrinkage. I think it will be fine.
I don’t get hungup on sizes–it’s just a number! It’s the fit thats important.
Thankyou for alerting us to check the click here sizing.
    Can’t wait for the show

Okay ladies — the Linea Leisure hoodie, tank, cardi and pant are up on QVC ready for ordering. Got mine. Yippee!

  3. Damiane Lucas

    Hello Louis,

When will the Linea Ponte Knit Pull-On Pants arrive at QVC? I’ve been waiting since last August. I need some black pants and any other colors you bring, too. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Damiane…..that’s a good question. All I can say is they are some where at QVC. Once we ship them it’s out of our control.

  4. Happy Lady

Received all the fabulous gunmetal palm frond jewelry today and love but I must say the pierced earrings in gunmetal are SMOKING HOT!! LOVE! Thanks, Louis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      That’s great…..I haven’t gotten my samples yet!

  5. Happy Lady

Louis, I received A262453 Moss Crepe top and A262454 Moss Crepe skirt today and reviewed on the Forum. This fabric is fabulous and can appreciate your suggesting for those of us who loved Feather Jersey this new fabric might feel the void of Feather Jersey not being reordered. You hit a home run on both pieces in design and fabrication. Small in Moss Crepe skirt is a little more forgiving (maybe lighter weight) than the mosaic tile skirt. Perfect!! Bought both pieces in all colors and would love languid pants, PLEASE!!

  6. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

Hope you folks are safe and sound in all that weather. We’ll be keeping you folks in our prayers.

Will you be bringing back the cotton blend swing jacket (A87434)? I got the yellow one but missed out on the limoges blue one. I wear the yellow jacket with the coordinating Mock Neck Elbow Length Sleeve Sweater (A87423), some black pants, and a large black silk flower on the jacket.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti……I’m afraid that jacket has hit the end of the road.

A237387. Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Zip Front Ponte Knit Jacket Louis I love this jacket. Having the zippered pockets is so useful. I use the one of the zip pockets for my large cell phone and the other one forkeys and money clip. Out the door for walks and quick trip to store. Those zip pockets are the bomb. And I also like the double zip up the front. Any chance we will get a new jacket with zip pockets this year?

Hi Louis – quick question …

How does the Dew Drop pendant/earring set look with the Spring Green WK tunic? Are they compatible?

I’m feeling in need of green things, after all this snow!

  9. Chris/Jazzmom

Is it too early to know if A251588 the knit V neck tunic (cotton/spandex blend) has been reordered in all colors yet?

    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…way to early…don’t Know what the returns are…to my surprise the reviews are mixed….some are very strange??

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

        Dear Louis,

I think people realized its the same fabric blend as the new Linea Leisure raglan sleeve tunic top but a different neckline basically. I would love to get a turquoise in this top.

      2. queendiva

I think this tunic would have done better if it had been offered in a petite length as well. I had my tailor do a high/low hem, which I am very pleased with. I recognize that most women do not want to hem a new garment.

  10. Lyn

My favorite sweater (the Swing Sweater) is showing available on wait list in Imperial Violet, Merlot, Perfectly Pink, and Tabacco. Are these colors for Spring or Fall? I don’t want to order these now, if my wait lists will be cancelled, because the colors won’t be available until Fall. Thanks, Louis!

  11. Shari

    Louis
Do you think or know if A 233940, the WK Cardigan is coming back in the lime?
That is one of my best colors.
Hope and pray you all are safe and well in the storm that is on top of you.
We have full sun today in Michigan here by the big lake. Beautiful! !
    Come on Spring! !!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari….no lime….the storm wasn’t as bad as they predicted, but we aren’t going out….COLD & WINDY

  12. Goldie76

Louis, I am absolutely gaga over your overlapping top (A257313). Such mastery of line you have demonstrated in this elegant top. I submitted my very enthusiastic review.

  13. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
Hope you are OK in Long Island.. In NJ, we got spared.
Is the quilted jacket going to be on your January show?
Also you mentioned to stay with your normal size in the elbow sleeve v neck moss top. It looked smaller in the waist?
    Thanks,

  14. Judy

If I’m not dreaming, I think I remember you saying (A237394) the pull on ponte knit pants were reordered. When can we expect these? Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…I am inquiring, but since no one is in the offices today due to the storm…I don’t know when I’ll get an answer….I know it should be soon, but how soon I do not know…Feb???

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

LI didn’t get the punch of this storm as expected. Where I am we got about 18″. CT got more and the Boston area is still being hit with the blizzard now according to the weather maps. Travel bans on mass transit and cars (major roadways here) has been lifted. Now we all have to dig out!

        1. Debbie M.

Speak for yourself. Suffolk county got up to 2 feet. I still have not been plowed. It’s a mess out here.

  15. Victoria1

Louis, have you considered doing scarves in spring summer fabrics in basic solid colors! I have this need to cover my neck from even the slightest of drafts…something that sweaters don’t help in air conditioned buildings..though perhaps your new hoodies will…I can pull them up closer to my neck! I am always grabbing a cotton linen or other light weight scarve for my neck.. Would love one in The cream accent color…just an idea… since you do color themes within your collections… a thought! I love one stop shopping!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Victoria….I have tried to get them to buy scarves, but so far it’s a no go….just Whisper Knit

  16. Victoria1

Louis..received my Sienna long sleeve printed knit top…I love it…the more dense version of the print at the top and on upper arms is perfect and shoulder seams on Medium fits me perfectly. I love this fabric! I have numerous necklaces from JAcquesC in New York that work beautifully. It’s already folded in my linea print knit tops drawer! The hand on this is so light and fluid. I rarely put color with black…so this will be worn with jeans, blue and white, slim khakis and slim white cotton pants…love it…going back for the blue!

  17. Annie

Louis, Peony Pink oh my I’m in love! The Linea Ladies are drooling over it on the forum. Must have both pieces. Please tell us there is more coming in this color besides just the shell and hoodie???

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Annie,,,that’s it for now in this color, but let me tell you the quantities of this color are smaller than the black and navy so jump on it when it’s avail! Remember to check the measurements!

  18. Jean s

Loving the new hoodie. You show some Capri cotton/span pants on this page in white – any idea when these capri’s will be available? Loving this look.

  19. Kate

SWWOOONNN! Just took delivery of the new moss crepe top and skirt. It’s another one of the LDO miracle garments that make me look slimmer and taller. I love the fabric–I’d say its sort of a love child of pebble crepe and feather jersey; dressier than pebble crepe but not just work wear. Would be a terrific fabric for a summery shift or shirt dress (both of which I know will never happen) or some lightweight but not too casual pants. I bought black and navy; will take the plunge and go back for the color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I could never sell a dress in this fabric. “They” would say it’s too thin and clingy, neither of which it is…..a top and skirt they understand…a dress…never. There are fabrics sold on the Q that are much thinner so go figure. I would love a pant in this fabric, but it would have to be a wide leg. They would never go for a slim leg

      1. Judi

I received my pieces and I love this moss crepe fabric! Do you think a maxi skirt or a longer assymetrical skirt would be an option? Other styles of tops would be great also (and of course more colors).
        Stay safe and warm!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If the pieces do well and low returns I will repeat the fabric….we’ll have to wait and see.

      2. Victoria1

Good! I want a wide leg..if we can only find five thousand more of me:))

  20. Maia

Dear Louis, please consider using your caneel blue in more WK pieces in the future! That slice of it in your new peek-a-boo WK sweater is so lovely. Maybe that’s the aqua color so many women were asking for in response to your request for color suggestions. Keeping my fingers crossed for this fall or next spring!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No it”s a different color than the Aqua…..it’s actually grayer.

      1. Maia

Thank you for explaining the difference, Louis. Caneel is a beautiful, calming color.

  21. Eileen

Hi, Louis, I just wanted to let you know how much I like the new raglan sleeve tee (A262037). I love the slim fit. It’s perfect. I know you want to have feedback, so there it is.

I have two questions: (1)J288005 Bold hoop earring; will that be coming in a pierced earring? (2) Will we be getting pearl earrings to match the pearls in the different colors? I have navy, purple and aubergine and would love to have the earrings. I believe you showed them on the models at some point. They were a very nice size pearl and not ditzy. Thanks for your work and patience. I hope your trip this week will be safe. Eileen

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Eileen…..the bold hoop only comes clip. It is too big to do pierced, but I can tell you it is very comfortable with the clip. The pearl earrings have been reordered and have recently been posted on the Linea site, however only some of the colors you are interested in have been ordered and they come in mixed sets of three like Ivory, Pink and Navy. You will have to check to see if there is something for you……I hope by Thursday the roads will be clear of snow!

  22. Bonnie

Hi, Louis. I see the new “Peek-a-Boo” WK sweater is available. How does the sizing run in comparison with say the button front WK boyfriend sweater with pockets and the beautiful gold buttons? Also, the ribbing at the bottom of this new one…does it have lots of give? Not sure when this peek sweater will be presented but I’m about Maria’s size (dark haired Maria). I can wear either an XL or 1X in your WK sweaters. Love each and every one!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie that sweater will be the first item on the 6pm show, as of now….things can and probably will change from now until Friday.I have already sneak peeked the sweater you are speaking of….click older at the bottom of the page at the left until it shows up. It is not a fitted sweater and really can’t be compared with the cardigan….I would say the XL should be fine.

      1. Debbie M.

Is it supposed to look like the Q photos?

        1. Sheesh

Debbie, I’m gonna jump right in here and say NOTHING is supposed to look like the Q photos—LOL! The Q’s photos are notoriously bad—the laughing stock of on-line retailing! Just sayin’……..

          1. Debbie M.

I agree, however there are some passing on this because of those pictures. I do not think this is a tunic, at least I hope not because then I purchased the wrong size. LOL

  23. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, will you be getting hit hard with the coming storm? We continue to have forecasts of 29 to 30 inches hanging on as we approach the storms start this evening, high winds, possible power outages etc. here in NH. Then another storm on Friday. Looks like you’ll possibly be threading the needle between storms driving to QVC. Stay SAFE!! Hoping the power is not out here for your upcoming incredible and oh-so-long anticipated show!!! 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….yes we are supposed to get anywhere from 2 to 3 feet of snow….I haven’t heard about another storm on Friday….that’s not good. It would just be my luck for major power outages to happen and many will miss the show!

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Don’t worry about that too much Louis. Most of your many avid fans go over the online videos. Again and again in fact. Whatever happens with power – make sure QVC is taping the show on every item and knows to get those posted. Right now, ordering ahead is a little problematic because in my area I’m certain it will be awhile before UPS can deliver and catch up on whatever is delayed this week in the storm. But this will not slow any of us down in ordering once the storm is past or power restored should that need to happen 😉 I for one am dreaming of the long ivory tunic with the split front bottom seam and of the new moss crepe tops and the new drop necklace… 😉 Also in south eastern NH we are only adding another inch to the tally on Friday as of today’s forecast. If anything like that comes your way on Friday, I know you will be heading down earlier for the shows. Just know the roads could – not saying will – have some issues. And again – be safe!

      2. Carol

Louis, you know if something can go wrong it will. It’s gonna be a nail-biter getting there, I’m sure, so be safe.

  24. louise jazz

    Hi there Louis,
Yes, I like the colors you suggested and perhaps a light olive and a rich chocolate brown as well. Any word on doing the boucle swing jacket in taxi cab yellow?
    FYI ONLY
    Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Louise, unfortunately the boucle swing jacket will not be reordered due to high returns……so no taxi cab yellow.

  25. Sharon

Hello Louis, I’m working on my list and there were so many sneak peeks I need your help with the sweater tunics coming. I remember the green style and fushia style but it seems to me there are two other styles coming. Could you refresh my memory please? I hope that snowstorm heading your way won’t cause you and Jac any problems.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The tunic with the drop shoulder and the roll finish ballet neckline and the peek-a-boo sweater with the over flap that partially covers the surprise color….the sneak peeks are still avail for you to see….you just have to keep clicking “older” at the bottom until they show up.

  26. Jeanie

Hi Louis, I read what you said about the sizing on the moss crepe top, but what are your thoughts about the sizing on the skirt? I noticed that in my usual size small, the hip measurement is about 2″ smaller than it usually is. If I have 40ish inch hips, should I go up to a medium? Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jeanie….2 inches is a big difference….then you should get the med. unless the skirts you have gotten were on the loose side….were they slim pencil skirts?Did you get this summers mosaic…if not maybe someone can compare the measurements. There is a lot of stretch to this fabric, but 38 inches seems small for a small.

      1. Sherry Humphrey

My hips are 41″ and I consistently wear medium in Linea skirts.

Gosh, Louis….you are the best. I would be lost without your line the last five years. Thank you.

I live in Louisville, Kentucky. The summers are brutal with suffocating temps and humidity. Would so love to have light weight linen jean jackets with breast pockets, on-seam hand pockets, your gold logo buttons and your magic touch with design and fit. Would also love coordinating elastic waist, pull-on straight leg pants. I have an older pair of linen pants I wear all summer, even over a bathing suit when we vacation at the beach. Need to replace. Just a thought….

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….I have tried many times, but the buyers will not buy linen. They have tried and the returns are too high. The customers receive them all wrinkled and return them.

      2. Jeanie

Yes, I have the stretch mosaic skirt and the pencil skirts in a size small and they’re perfect. Is this new skirt smaller?

  27. Toni

Spring/Summer colors — bubblegum pink and lemon skin yellow. Fall/winter.–candied yam and cranberry relish

  28. Victoria1

    Louis,
Wasn’t sure who’s copycatting your sneak peak ideas/ fans or others on the Q. But if we counted the felony offenses of certain ppl attempting to copy your ideas and style ..would be still counting. Luckily many of Linea’s Ladies bought you when you were leading Anne Klein..we can spot Louis Dell Olio style a mile away. I buy your clothes only! Linea and Ripka’s jewelry and a few handbags…but I am there because of you! I think the loss of LisaR and perhaps the economy has the Q needing to add some new sparkle in Fashion Merchandising…which you have been doing for years on the Q on your own and with your website! Q has the worst photography and stylists …You have been a valued resource for them…even if you get no credit…We know whose ideas

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

When I first came to the Q 15 years ago, no one accessorized their clothes. They left it up to the stylists, and frankly what they have is very limited, so I started bringing my own.I remember Mark Bower asking me why my shows were always so nicely accessorized, and I told him because I bring everything….he started bringing his own too, as did Pamela Dennis….Now many bring their accessories….you can always tell who brings their accessories and who doesn’t. I have taught them all a few things along the way.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

No surprise there as to teaching colleagues along the way and characteristically generous of you also!

      2. FreddieMac

Not just the other designers and the Q stylists. You have taught me so much about accessorizing over the years you have been on the Q. I record all of your shows so I can look at them again and see how you have styled the various outfits. If only I knew all of this 20 years ago when I was starting out in my career!

  29. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,

Will the horsebit necklace (J288018) be ordered in silvertone?
It’s the perfect length for many of your tops.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….no, it hasn’t been reordered at all. I was surprised that it has only done fair….it’s such an easy piece, and with all of the more casual clothes it fits right in.

  30. Happy Lady

Just noticed A72448, your traditional tneck in wk is waitlisted in new colors Pale Blue and Pale Lilac. Any idea when they will be manufactured? For next spring, perhaps?

  31. Joan Schwartz

    Dear Louis,
Thanks again for your beautiful designs. I was wondering if the new polka dot quilted jacket fits the same as your previous quilted jackets that you offered in black, tan and olive? Those jackets are perfect for our California weather. The new polka dot jackets look fabulous.
    Kind regards,
    Lovelinea

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joan….they are similar but not the same. I think what ever size you have in the other jacket would work for this….the measurements are never that off, and considering we always fit on the same woman there is consistency.

  32. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, in discussing the points of similarity between moss crepe and feather jersey – I totally realize they are NOT the same – the question springs to mind: Could you wear the moss crepe top WITH a feather jersey bottom, pants or long skirt for example. The moss crepe skirt is about 4 inches shorter than my comfort zone – yes even with Linea tights 😉 – and am wondering if the top which I love might be worn with a navy, grey or orchid feather jersey bottom. Obviously any color of the moss crepe top could be worn with the ivory pleated skirt or with the white boho for example, right?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Nancy that’s a good question….I personally don’t mind mixing fabrics like that……what specifically are you thinking….what color top with which bottom? If I still have a those samples I will check…..I donated most of them

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Well the navy moss crepe with the navy feather jersey comes to mind of course – but magenta moss crepe might work with the soft grey long skirt – and honestly, I’m thinking depending on the accessories that the navy moss crepe top might work well with the orchid feather jersey bottom skirt also. Black is a no brainer with the grey feather jersey.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

You will have to be careful about navy to navy….they might not work. As for your other combinations….the best way to know is to try….they may or may not work….As I always say…sometimes it’s the accessories that will give you that “aha” moment.

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Good. Well, I’m not worried about the colors as much as I am about the fabrics and since I have a go-ahead from you on that score, I’ll play around with how to put the colors together. As a fall-back I would ALWAYS have any of the white or ivory or black Linea summer weight skirts. Same for pants. And then there are a host of multi-colored and patterned european scarves I’ve collected which work some pretty amazing magic coordinating pieces. This top is looking like a very flattering and comfortable stand-alone piece. Many thanks!!!

  33. Mimi

Good morning. I hope you, Jac and the dogs are all doing well. I want to buy the wk turtlenecks for my husband but I am lost as to what size to buy him. He weighs about 205 lbs and wears between a large and xl depending on sweater. I have gone to Bloomies for the past 3-4 years but they have very few turtlenecks and the prices are outrageous. Can you suggest a size for him? I am assuming a 1x or 2x, I am lost. Can’t wait for your show on January 30th. I keep checking for your new items on line but too soon. Any new leggings for spring? I wear an xxs and they fit like a glove. Thanks and stay well.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mimi….how tall is your husband? If he is over 5’10 the sleeves will be too short unless he doesn’t mind pushing them up. I would suggest you try the 1x and see how that works out. I think the only legging for spring is a reorder.

      1. Yoko

My husband is 6 feet 1 inch tall. He weighs 181 pounds, dress shirt size 151/2 -33 dress shirt. Usually a size medium in sweaters. I got him the size large black Linea turtle neck. perfect fit. He now wants one in navy and grey. He is so funny, he cut out the Linea logo but left the size in. He did not want anyone to know he was wearing a woman’s sweater. This made laugh so much.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Yoko….that’s good to know….I would think at 6’1 the sleeves would be too short…….6’1″ and 181 lbs…..OK……haven’t been that weight since school. How would anyone see the label?…and would anyone know?? If he feels better about …cuttem’ out

      2. Happy Lady

My husband was looking forward to POSH turtlenecks and WK turtlenecks but he is 6’2″ and the sleeves and body length were just that much too short. Unfortunately a no go. He would have kept and pulled his shirt cuffs out and then flipped up the cuffs but the body length did not work. Oh well, he loves the way they feel. He also liked the idea that the sweaters matched his Linea scarves.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Happy Lady….at 6’2″…no way….I should do a mens WK TN….I bet it would sell!

          1. Saphira

Yes, please! And if you could accommodate a 6’4″ guy I’d be so appreciative, there would be no competition.

          2. Sheesh

Yes, WK T-necks for men would sell, I believe, along with the scarves. As soon as a man puts on the T-neck, he’s going to want another—Black, Navy, Hunter, Brick, Expresso, Charcoal. Do you think the Q would ever go for it—Linea Men? However–we ladies don’t want any YOUR budget for us to slip away–so there’s that consideration, too.

          3. Happy Lady

Yes they would!! Have on line, ready to sell early October with upsell scarves to match. A very clear size chart and we can post on the forum (constantly). You and Alberto wear them (what good is a guy on the Q if he can’t model and wear clothing the Q sells like the female hosts do). You are both very well dressed men in current styles. More colors: Java brown, charcoal, your navy, hunter green, wine and black.

      3. Mimi

Just ordered 3 for my husband and 2 of the new colors for myself. I’m hooked on your line and soon you’ll probably have another customer hooked. Thanks again and stay well.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mimi….if you ordered the Sky Blue and Lilac? expect to have the order canceled in about 2 to 3 months. They only hold wait list long enough for returns to be final and then they are canceled. Since these are new and there won’t be returns…and they are not avail until late in the year the 3 month time period will elapse and they will automatically be canceled. I don’t know why they continue to do this??! They just don’t change the program of entering new colors for reorders………..P.S. I hope your husband likes them!

        2. Happy Lady

MIMI…If I may suggest, if you haven’t you should order the scarves to match. They are a very generous length, launder beautifully and feel wonderful against the neck. MY husband, sons and nephews are all crazy about them and want more next year in different colors. Fingers crossed.

  34. Sharon S

    Louis,
Pastel WK sweater: perfect pink, butter, lilac, raspberry and some sort of green- I’ve never met a green I didn’t like.

  35. CC

Color suggestions: the Linea dew drop necklace color you think of as “pale jade” and the pink raspberry color of the same dew drop necklace and lastly cobalt blue.

  36. Enjay

Louis does the new moss crepe “play well together” with the pebble crepe, in terms of fabric and texture? I adore the pebble crepe tops, and own black, navy, olive and chile pepper. I wear these constantly in warmer weather with pencil skirts and will be getting the new pebble crepe colors – such a great, chic and easy top!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not sure what you mean by play together? The PC has more texture and, of me is more casual….that said I would put the black MC skirt with the new white PC top. I wouldn’t put navy to navy or black to black….contrast is fine.

  37. Debbie M.

    Louis,

I just received my ombre print tunics. I can not comment on fit yet because they are too cold to try on, LOL. However it looks like they will fit. They are soooo pretty. I got raspberry and olive.

    1. Kate

I also received the Raspberry and I love, love the pattern. Hard to choose which is best for me, this winter’s mosaic or last season’s tile!

  38. Sharon

Hello Louis, I could not believe what I was reading,be still my heart. Did you really say pastels in whisper knit? I have been waiting for this to happen. I’m a very happy lady and can’t wait. When I as in High School we had angora sweater in all pastel colors with skirts to much. Do you think angora or mohair will ever come back?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…good quality mohair and angora will never be on QVC…it’s too expensive and you wouldn’t want to wear the cheaper qualities….all the hair will be in your eyes and nose.

  39. Sheesh

Louis, heads up, my dear, the Q just posted for sale the new Crepe Tunic and Skirt. A262453 and A262454. The preempted your Sneak Peek!

      “Moss Crepe”?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s a new fabric for QVC, but Donna and I used it all the time. It’s very much like the rayon/span jersey with a very slight crepe texture…..you’ll love it….it’s a very high end designer fabric. Today the Chinese are copying all of the Italian fabrics, and quite honestly it not that difficult…..they have the machinery….it’s all about developing the yarn.

        1. Kate

Well I just ordered the top and the skirt in two colors because I loved the style and I need some warm weather professional clothes for stuff coming up. The fact that it’s a great new fabric is a bonus! I appreciate the shorter skirt length.

  40. Seka

We have not seen a Sneak Peek – but Q just posted the A262453 V-Neck Top and A262454 Short Skirt – available in Black, Navy and Magenta!

  41. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

I love your idea of going with the paler colors (pale shades of blue, yellow, mint, and lilac) for the WK V-neck sweater (A217629). I’d also like to see lighter shades of grey, aqua, and apricot as well.

Regarding the new Linea Leisure Tunic (A262037) in fall, standalone colors, I would like to see something in the topaz/nutmeg family, definitely a deep teal, a rich raspberry, a harvest gold (or saturated camel), and a some sort of brighter olive color. A plummy purple might be nice, too.

    Thanks for getting our input.

    Patti

    1. Karen

Yes, I like the aqua you had a few years ago, which I like to wear with your new dark green.

  42. Lee in Minnesota

Color suggestions for the completely wonderful Linea Leisure Tunic: Dark Quartz (grey); aubergine and steel blue (blue grey). Thank you for asking Mr. D’O!

  43. Pat

    Hi Louis,

I would buy every color you mentioned for the long sleeve v-neck A217629. I wold also like to see a pale melon, ivory and a true cherry red. This sweater is a work horse in my wardrobe. The pale colors would be great for spring and summer. Thanks for thinking about doing this.

  44. Barbara F

    Hi Louis,

You said, “they may not sell fakes….but that I can not be sure of. What I can tell you is they sell so called “Anne Klein Couture” jewelry that is not from the couture division which I started at AK.”

Out of curiosity, I counted 40 entries listed as Anne Klein Couture on ebay. Of those, 9 had circular Anne Klein Couture tags on the pieces. Most of the others within the 40 had Lion metal tags or are stamped Anne Klein. A few had no tags and I’d stay clear of them. I did look through only about 100 pieces of AK jewelry that did not include ‘Couture’ in the title and found one titled “VINTAGE ANNE KLEIN GRIPOIX STYLE CABOCHON MOLDED RESIN MALTESE CROSS EARRINGS” that does have Anne Klein Couture stamped on the back, priced at $85, worth that price. They are gold with dark red, green and black looking faux stones. You definitely should reproduce these for QVC, but smaller as they are 1 1/2 inches. They are gorgeous and would buy them in a flash, but are too large for me. There probably are more pieces where sellers did not use the word Couture, but are your designs with tags on them.

Ebay doesn’t require sellers to differentiate between lines within the same company; therefore they wouldn’t consider any of them fake unless someone questioned them and were proven by an ebay investigation to be fake. If wording bothers you, you are the one to report these sellers to ebay. They do have a staff constantly looking for fakes as manufacturers create many problems for ebay if they find them being sold. But, of course, some might get through for a few days or not caught. There are millions of items on ebay.

Most of the 40 sellers in question concerning your Couture line displayed photos of Anne Klein tags; therefore, they weren’t hiding anything, even though they used the word “Couture.” Of course, they could be exact copies. The buyer has the responsibility of carefully examining the photos, reading the descriptions, asking questions, and reading sellers’ feedback. I don’t hesitate to email photos to companies or manufacturers for verification on higher priced items. Even to foreign countries, such as Italy and France, and surprised they answered me in English; although I was prepared to use an online translator. Lol. They verified the items as authentic. I don’t buy from any seller with less than 99% five star feedbacks. Mostly, above 99.5% I’ve been using ebay for 15 years with over 1400 purchases and 100% five star feedbacks from sellers. I have been through the muck in eBay’s early years before I learned the ropes and ebay cleaned up its act.

I think the past image of Anne Klein as couture may be the reason some of the sellers use it. This type of thing is commonplace on ebay and makes it more difficult for buyers to search for what they want. There is advanced search, but so many good things are missed because of the words sellers use and don’t use in the titles and descriptions of their auctions. Many retailers’ websites and catalogs are just as guilty for failing to describe their products accurately.

As of this writing, there are 2,117 pieces of Anne Klein jewelry on ebay. I would think less than 15 are your designs. It’s probably best your QVC buyers wait until you reproduce your pieces rather than watching for them to appear on ebay. They might be looking for a particular piece for a long, long, time. The vintage black necklace you have in one of your photos is not on ebay as of January 22. Since your jewelry is so beautiful and well made, I suspect owners are holding on to them. I certainly will hold on to the 3 beautifully well made cross necklaces I purchased of yours from QVC.

Louis can the new ponte fit & flare dress (in black) work with the new gun metal short Palm frond necklace. You showed it with this necklace however I preder gun metal and wonder if it would look nice or not. My second choice would be silver. Your advice please.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, it would look great. Unfortunately I still haven’t received my samples!

      1. CC

Glad the gunmetal will look good with the black dress. Sorry to hear you don’t have your gunmetal Palm frond sample yet, maybe you’ll have to hurry and get in line and order one from QVC. LOL

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think I just might have to

  46. Beryl

    Louis.
I’m in love with Linea Leisure. What is the length of the long skirt? When will the skirt and pants be available?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl….Some pieces are supposed to be on my Jan 30th show…the rest will be OLO. I’m thinking the jackets will get air time, but not the tank, skirt or pant. I really have no idea.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

The skirt is approx. 32 inches long. Sheesh already told me she’s getting two. One to leave long and the other to cut SHORT. She can make a tote out of the left over fabric….or at least a head band!

      1. Beryl

32 inches is just perfect for me. There goes my plan to buy less this year.

  47. Shari

    Hi Louis
I asked the question of the Wing collared shirts coming back.
You did give me an answer, but now the white is gone AGAIN!
    The Linea ladies are FAST!
So please forgive as I need to ask if they are coming back again?
So sorry for being a bugger.
I just love the shirt and would also love to see this in my pastel favorites
of yellow, lilac, a soft green in the lime tones and would be great in black.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari…..that must have been a return. Do not worry the shirt isn’t coming for months!

I’m happy for you. Now I wish I had received my samples so i could show them in a show!!!!

The Q sometimes gives us a Good Surprise!

  50. Sandy

Please keep in mind we baby boomers who have now decided to embrace our silver hsir. Love your designs and would so appreciate more clear summer color options. Your brown-based colors are gorgeous; however, I think it is no longer an option for many of us. Also, would love to see more silver options in your besutiful jewelry designs. Thsnk you.

  51. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Good Morning Louis. In the Dew Drop Necklace continued photographs – is the white background item being worn by the manikin the new white version of the Pebble Crepe tunic with pockets?

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

        Many thanks!!!!

  52. Jackie

Louis, I like the black beaded necklace shown on the new raspberry medallion top photo on your blog. Is it a sneak peak or vintage Linea/Ann Klein? I like the airy light look on the black bead. Elegant. Different. Just wondering if I can purchase it in the future.

      1. Barbara F

        Hi Louis,

Just purchased a vintage Anne Klein gold galloping horse belt on eBay. In excellent, like new, condition. Very well made.

Ebay is a good place for your buyers to look for those vintage Anne Klein belts and jewelry you use.

        Barbara

        1. Barbara F

          Louis,

There’s even a photo of you from 1993 being sold on eBay for $30.00 by the HistoricImages store. Title is “1993 Press Photo Louis Del Olio of Anne Klein.” Good full body photo of you.

          Barbara

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara…that’s funny…some people will buy anything…LOL…I do remember the Galloping horse buckle? Is it the one with the two horse’s heads? If so I still use that belt occasionally in some shows. That buckle was also used by Gucci and Ralph Lauren, who still uses it.

            1. Barbara F

              Hi Louis,

You should be insulted that your photo was selling for only $30!! Ha!

Actually, it’s an entire belt, not just the buckle. There are 6 horses about 3 inches long attached to each other at the end of the tail and nose. A chain makes it adjustable with Anne Klein’s lion head charm at the end. Funny thing, there are cheap copies currently being sold in gold and silver, as well, but not as detailed. No Anne Klein logo, though, as eBay does not permit fakes. Also, saw the same belt with “Made in Paris” stamped on it that looks exactly like Anne Klein’s, no Anne Klein charm, selling for $195!

It’s interesting to note, it appears Anne Klein’s vintage pieces are holding their value, some increasing.

Your customers might also look on Etsy for your vintage pieces. If they don’t find what they are looking for, they need to continue looking on eBay and Etsy every few days, as some are added every day.

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara….they may not sell fakes….but that I can not be sure of. What I can tell you is they sell so called “Anne Klein Couture” jewelry that is not from the couture division which I started at AK. I know every piece that was designed. This was high end fashion jewelry jewelry that I used on the runway. Some real “Couture” pieces are selling on ebay for $300 and up. I never had any AK jewelry with lions of any sort on the Couture line. That was relegated for the AK line or the Anne Klein ll line. The Couture jewelry had separate metal tags attached to the pieces or stamped that said “Anne Klein Couture”. If it doesn’t have the tag….it’s not Couture. The Couture line was dropped shortly after I left, because none of the designers who proceeded me had any interest or the talent to design jewelry. Many of the Couture licensee lines that I was in charge of closed because of lack of direction and the stores stopped buying it because of that……so buyer beware….it may not be what it seems…..in the end it really doesn’t matter as long as we are happy with the purchase.

  53. Cathy Walseman

    Louis,
I have been checking every day for several months, for the Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Palm Leaf Necklace at QVC. Will this be coming back in stock soon ? I hope so ! I would truly appreciate your response concerning an update on this item ! Thanks so much !
    Sincerely, Cathy Walseman
Louis Dell ‘Olio fan on QVC

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy , the best I can tell you is…yes both necklaces and the earring were reordered . Since the earring has been posted the necklaces can’t be far behind. Unfortunately, because these items are sold on line only I never know when they will be processed and posted. I didn’t even know the earring had been posted if Seka hasn’t told me! Even though I know they have been shipped, I still don’t know when they will get around to posting them. On air items get priority.

      1. Jane J.

Louis, Will the necklaces also be offered in gunmetal?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m checking…I would think if they ordered the earring they would have at least ordered one of the necklaces….my guess the long one. Just got word it was J290362, the short one that is coming in the GM in Feb.

          1. Jane J.

Thanks, Louis. That’s great news — love that necklace — a real statement piece!

  54. Seka

Palm Frond Earrings J290363 are back in inventory – and there’s a new colour option – Gunmetal!

Have these Earrings in both Goldtone and Silvertone (Clips) – LOVE them – and I don’t usually wear Earrings!

  55. Shari

Louis– are the wing collared blouses coming back in white??

  56. Seka

FYI – The Space dyed Top and matching gored Skirt are available on Q – A257313 and A257314.

Also available on Q – the Ombre Medallion Top – A259107.

    1. Happy Lady

Care instructions for A257313 and 314 are as follows:
HWCSONCBWNHDWIIN…. WHAT!! C/S has a chart (but not available to customers) if any potential buyer wants to know how to clean these items. Must be too time consuming to write out care instructions. By the way does this skirt have elastic in the waist? Guess we have to guess….Gored or A line? Wish QVC would let vendors write descriptions for their products.

  57. diane bloch

Louis- Just ordered the waist whittling WK in berry and black. In the photo for the berry there is a gold earring
shown. Will that earring be available at a later date? Like everyone else I’m really looking forward to your upcoming shows.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No that’s the wave earring…long gone. It’s not being reordered in favor of new. So the lesson is…..order when it’s avail, because no matter how well it does is no guarantee it will be reordered……what can I say?

      1. diane bloch

Thanks- You would think I’d learn that lesson by now.

  58. Chris S.

    Dear Louis,

I ordered the pebble crepe top in white and a second one in the black. I also have the navy top. I am undecided about the smoke. I’m wondering if there are bottoms coming in the smoke or navy colors in the pebble crepe. Will there be additional colors of last year’s crops?
    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chis last years crops haven’t been ordered. I think the boho matches the PC top and maybe the crepe pant….if you’re interested I’ll check the samples….otherwise black and white look perfect with the gray with lots of silver.

      1. Chris S.

Thank you, no need to check colors. I have the crops in black and white and the crepe pant in gray. I also have a PC skirt in black. I’ll work with those using my silver jewelry. I sure wish the crops had been reordered!

        1. Sherry

          Me too, Chris!!!

  59. Elaine

Dear Louis, that fabulous Norman Norell dress was used as the cover for a charming book “Lucia, Lucia” by Adriana Trigiani. A very enjoyable read.
Love your pebble crepe, thank you for posting the new items that are available. Just had a delivery of some of your jewels!
Looking forward to your upcoming shows. Thank you and have a safe trip down to the Q.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Elaine….that dress and his sequin “mermaid” dresses are probably his most famous……New jewels?! What did you choose?

      1. Elaine

Today I recieved the Demi hoops in silver and gunmetal along with the Station necklace in purple, it will be perfect with the violet Jacquard top that I have from last year. Now all this is in addition to your pearl and beaded necklaces, at least 5….and coming my way next will be the diamond Dome bracelet, adore it!
Thank you for all the great fashion! Hi to Jac and see you tonight.

  60. donna

the pebble crepe tops are back in stock.the 2 new colors shown are smoke and white.would you post photos for us ?and is the white opague?any pants to match?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear donna…..Pebble crepe in white is not opaque….it isn’t transparent either. Some will feel very comfortable just wearing a nude bra, while I’m sure others will prefer a tank of some sort. For QVC I will be showing it with the white tank that comes with the A214117, crinkle georgette safari shirt. It is very light, and that’s all anyone would need. This top isn’t being shown until my Feb show….so the photos aren’t ready. There are white pebble crepe pull-on crop pants now in stock. Just look at the pants in the Linea line up….they are lined.

      1. Sherry

A255183…is the item number for the Crop Pants.

  61. Sherry

Is there a delivery time frame for the Signature Button Earring? I love the Ball earrings and have all 4 colors of the Demi Hoop on their way to me…I’m sure they will become my favorites…

Also, do we know if the Pocket Cardigan with the Signature buttons will be returning??? I missed the Navy and would appreciate new colors as well…that has become my go to piece…love my cardigans and especially love the pockets and buttons on this one.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….I don’t know when the earring will be posted and as of now there is sufficient quantity of the cardigan , so I don’t se it being reordered any time soon.

  62. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. I know you have a Linea Leisure Cotton/Span Cardigan coming—will there be a matching Tank Top? I’m loving the Pink. Also, will there be any pull-on pencil skirts in this LL fabric? I’d love to have short skirts to wear with the LL Cardigans and Tunics. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes there will be a tank, and no there won’t be a short skirt, but there will be a sling slim skirt that you can shorten if you like.

      1. Sheesh

Perfect—I’ll get two skirt and have one shortened—will give me lots of options! Thanks. Oh, and thrilled about the matching tanks!

  63. victoria1

    Louis

just noticed the item number you gave on new Charcoal and Perfectly pink cardigan…Was A72448…shouldn’t it have been A233940? If I am wrong apologies…just noticed myself

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Oh oh did it again…..you are correct

  64. Beth Hillin

I purchased your blue and white top in the spring from qvc …love it. Please make in black and white fir this spring… So many compliments ..love your style

  65. Lee in Minnesota

    Hello Mr. Dell’Olio,
I have the grey Kate shirt and just ordered it in stone (shirt perfection, thank you). How would you describe the color difference between those two? (Stone still looks quite grey to me.)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lee….I hope you aren’t freezing or buried in snow. We always hear that Minnesota gets hit very hard…..The stone and the gray are similar in that the tone is the same …..meaning one isn’t much paler or darker than the other. However the grey is a true grey…a warm or “French” grey as opposed to a blue gray or cool gray…..The Stone is also a warm color, but it is a pale Taupe and is a color unto itself. They are very compatible colors, and can be mixed as the charcoal grey WK cardigan can be worn over both.

      1. victoria1

        Louis,
I love both the gray and the stone Kate shirts…They are in my Wheelhouse of neutrals that can be worn with anything and together…I like nothing better than adding a beige or stone to gray. The mix is so rich and chic and can be worn with silver or gold jewelry. Your classics are so beautifully finished. I mean a beautifully constructed shirt, cardigan matched with a skirt, pants or jacket and good jewelry passes any best dressed test! Hope the Q realizes they hit the jackpot with you!
