Hello Louis, I was wondering if the poet top is coming back in new colors. I have noticed that Leah wears the pink one quite often and I know how much I like mine.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon ……the poet shirt has done very well and probably should have been reordered, but they have decided not to. Sorry to disappoint.

  2. Margo

    Hello,

Email alert from the “Q” Louis’s April 9th show moved to 11:00 am to 12:00pm – no mention of a time change for the 7:00pm scheduled show.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Margo….I just received an e-mail saying my show was switched from 10am to 11am? I’ll try to find out which is correct. I wouldn’t want everyone tuning in a hour late.

  3. mackenzie

Louis, I’m afraid to ask, but would you be so kind as to let us know when the combo print will be on (A262028)? I was out of pocket the beginning of March, and I’m afraid I missed it. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear mackenzie….I made a huge mistake with my earlier sneak peeks. I took photos, made collages and posted them without looking to see what month they were bought for. The print top you asked about was actually bought for pre-fall. It is due on my August show [no date yet], so it will probably be delivered to those who buy it mid to late Aug. I think this top in these colors is actually season-less, but with the long sleeves is probably better as a pre fall….fall top.

      1. mackenzie

What a relief! Thank you, Louis.

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

I too thought it was somehow sold out. You can’t pull it up at QVC with the item number so I’m assuming I’ll still get a shot at it in August. I’m good with that. You can see the grey one in the Linea boho online video. And it looks SNAZZY with the longer palm frond necklace which I just purchased on easy pay day.

  4. Marilyn Johnson

Louis, I already own your A263783 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Notch Collar Knit Cardigan in Hibiscus, Aqua and Navy. I’ve been thinking of getting the Tangerine, but I’m not sure if this color would work for me. I have auburn hair (my natural color is auburn), hazel eyes and light complexion. What are your thoughts?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marilyn…..your coloring sounds perfect for the tangerine color. Without seeing you I can’t think of a reason why it shouldn’t.

      1. Marilyn Johnson

OK, I’ll give it a try. I do love the other 3 sweater jackets. In fact, I wore the Aqua jacket with the Aqua Whisper Knit V-Neck sleeveless sweater, along with your black Ponte Knit pull-on pants and the new silver/gold logo necklace, when I met some former co-workers for lunch today.

  5. Gayle

    Dear Louis,
When will we start seeing “sneak peeks” for your next show? I can’t be the only one going thru D.T.’s between shows. What can I tell you: you are addicting!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      around April Fools Day

  6. Becky

May for the beautiful lace sweater? Makes no sense, but I’d be ordering it even if they offered it mid-winter! It’s an elegant piece that I know I’ll wear for years to come 🙂

  7. feathers

Dear Louis: I agree with the other posters. The Q is being unfair to you and your followers. They have been showing lace items from their lines for weeeks. I was planning to wear your new items to an Easter dinner and April bridal shower. Not only are they limiting the number of your new items but doing a horrible job of scheduling. Will, of course still look forward to the lace jacket, etc.

    1. MAKP

Add me to the list of disappointed Linea Ladies who was looking forward to having this pretty lace sweater in time for both Easter and an April baby shower. Seems odd to offer items after the prime selling time…

    2. Beryl

I totally agree. Here in NC we are ready to wear that sweater now. It’s so beautiful I know I’ll be ordering the white and black as soon as I can.

    3. Luvitorleaveit

I am disappointed as well I need all three colors for Easter and some other events that are coming up. I think it would be even better if it was the TSV for his next show. I’m still getting all three regardless just venting.

    4. Clark55

Add me to the list of disappointed Q shoppers because I was hoping to wear this sweater on an early May cruise. I’ll most likely miss out purchasing it because my cruise ship will be out to sea on the showing date. Louis..No offense to you because we all know that your hands are tied. We’re so grateful for your creative mind. I did have the opportunity to purchase some beautiful garments from your last couple of shows. Thank you for being here for us. Fingers crossed that one of your lace sweaters will be waiting for me, but I doubt it.

  8. Maryann Amorosa

On March 3rd on QVC you were presenting your beautiful line of clothes with Jill Bauer…while presenting a pair of pants one of the models had on a lace double zip sweater which I fell in love with. You eluded to the fact that this sweater would be coming out in the spring. I check the qvc site daily to see if you are presenting again but so far for the whole month of March I didn’t see anything regarding your line. Do you have any idea when this sweater will be coming out? I would appreciate any information you have. thank you

      1. Anonymous

Thank you so much. I definitely will make sure I get this beautiful sweater.

      2. designista

MAY? You must be kidding! It’s already getting too hot where I am to wear sweaters! What happened to the February cruise wear? We did get the Moss Crepe pieces. That sweater would be great for Easter, but May? This is as bad as your beautiful crystal bracelet that would have been perfect for the holidays, but was on air too late in the season to enjoy it! By the way, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! That reminds me that I need the safari shirt in green, I don’t have a thing to wear today for the occasion.

        1. Kate

Easter. Spring weddings. Cruise wear. I just don’t get QVC’s planning at all.

      3. Teri

I also am dismayed by May. Even April was a little late as it is after Easter. June is a nogo for long sleeves where I live. Looks strange. No, we do not get a chill in the evening. Is there any way to compel the Q to present earlier? I really wanted that jacket but now I will have to pass. This time last year, my linens were here and ready to go! Luv them dearly, but the jackets are mostly for April, May.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Teri, I’ m sorry but I have no say as to when the clothes are sold. In the past I have sold many garments with long sleeves in .may. Since the sleeves are lace it is very open. I’m sorry you feel you will have to pass it because it is really beautiful.

          1. Carol

I’m not passing this up. There’s always next year (which is when I’m wearing most of the things I’ve bought recently for winter)

  9. Grace

    Dear Louis,
For Easter, I’m thinking of wearing the new knit cardigan in hibiscus with a WK navy skirt, but I’m unsure about how to accessorize. Would you recommend your double strand beads in silver, or one of your multicolor pins J273587, J284040? Thanks in advance for your help.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Grace….I would go with the silver beads. They will bring light to the face, and because of the extender chain, they fit nicely on the inside of the cardigan without getting bulky at the back neck. I would go with the silver matching stud from the set of four or either the bold hoop, the Demi hoop or the swirl earring….all avail in silver…..you might already have one?

      1. Grace

Thanks, Louis! Yes, I have those earrings & love them all:) I just tried on the outfit and the silver beads & matching stud earrings work perfectly. I’m all set…Thank you, again.

  10. Luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis since the ponte knit pants were so popular will the ponte knit jacket be coming back as well A251580 or in another version – makes an easy care suited look.

    Hello Louis,
I attended a talk and tour today at F.I.T., “Lauren Bacall: The Look” . It was interesting to learn that she was a muse and client of Norman Norell for many years. Several of his designs were displayed (perhaps you had a hand in creating them)…a perfectly pink coat worn in Sex and The Single Girl and a “subway ensemble” consisting of a simple cashmere day coat when unbuttoned revealed a lining and dress of sequins! Just fabulous.
Looking forward to seeing you next week. Regards to Jac.
    Elaine

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Quick story about LB. When I graduated High School I was 17. I got a summer job, through my uncle, at Norman Norell. In the fall I was to attend Parson’s School of Design. Truly I was a country bumpkin. Not very sophisticated, and I didn’t know that much about the fashion industry….only what I read in magazines. This was during the period when 7th Ave was FASHION AVENUE. Every designer was on 7th Ave, and 550 was the premiere building. The streets were humming with models, pattern makers, tailors etc etc. Racks of clothes on the streets were an every day site. My job was to help whoever needed it. “Picking up pins” if that was necessary. One morning I was asked to bring a black cup of coffee into the models dressing room in a cup and saucer….the good china. I thought I was bringing it in for the head model, Claudia. Instead I walked right into the model’s room and who was standing there…..in her bra and panties……Lauren Bacall……I must have turned every shade of crimson, because she laughed and told me to come in. I was too flabbergasted to say anything and immediately left………Years later, when I was well established at Anne Klein, Jac and I were at some fashion benefit, and as we were leaving I saw Ms. Bacall standing looking a little lost. I asked her if I could help and she said her car hadn’t shown up. I asked her if I could drop her off and she said that would be great. The three of us got into the limo, and I took the opportunity to tell her my “coffee” story……we all had a good laugh……I remember the pink coat and black sequins very well. It was a famous outfit. Too bad they don’t make clothes like that anymore.

      1. Elaine

Louis, great story, thank you for sharing it.
I recall that you had worked for him, I was sorry that more of Norman Norell’s clothing wasn’t displayed as she donated over 700 items (from many designer) to F.I.T. I had the opportunity to meet her once also, truly an Original!
The Museum is a fun place to visit, always something on display and they do not charge to visit which is a rare thing in NYC!

  13. Judi Harrington

Dear Louis, I love your clothes/designs!!! I am looking at purchasing the boho skirt & pebble crepe tunic in smoke – I have several of these in various colors & love them!! Do you think the smoke color would look good on a fair skinned redhead (on the auburn side)? Thank you so much for all you do & your wonderful designs!
    PS Love Flora!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judi…I think the smoke with red hair will look great. I would suggest silver or gunmetal accessories.

  14. Julia

    Hi Louis,

Love your elephants. I went and watched some of the videos from the sanctuary on YouTube. Have you ever read the book “Water for Elephants”? Good read.

I was looking through my wardrobe and what I’m really missing is a long swinging vest in WK, longer than the swing cardigans.I’d love to have that as a layer during the transition months we’re in now, but I’d also pair it with a WK TN in the winter. Would love to see it in charcoal, perfectly pink, ivory, butter, olive, and so forth. Would you by in chance have something like that in the works?

    Julia

    1. Pecan Cookie

Julia, What a good idea and at the same time, what a trouble-maker you are for my credit card! Bad! …er, Good! Having just the right layering piece underneath will really be a wow.

  15. Susan K. D.

Louis, I love the winged-collar, mostly cotton woven shirt. It sold out in crisp white
so quickly. Please bring it back!
    item number A 259103.
    Thank you!

      1. Goldie76

I would like the white in a large. For some reason (measurements, I believe), I selected Extra Large the first go-round, and it was too big.

  16. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. I want to talk about A210351 Roma Ponte Pants (petite). I know you can’t get the Roma Ponte again; however, I am wondering if you can do this same style pant (an inch shorter for Petites) and give it a new style number. I have tons of your Ponte Pants, yet this style is my very favorite. I would buy again in every colors and in duplicates (and Ivory, please). Is there any new ponte fabric out there that is just a little heavier like the Roma ponte? It’s that extra weight that makes these pants so very special. Thanks.

    Sheila/Sheesh

    1. Maia

While we’re talking about pants, my favorite Linea woven pants by a long shot were your herringbone faux linen pants that came in pale olive and stone. A-226258. If you can get a similar fabric and keep the 32″ inseam, I would be forever grateful! You also designed a matching jacket that is just as beautiful! A-226257. Best three-season suit ever!

      1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Ditto to that fabric. Love, love it. That stone jacket works with so many Linea neutrals.

        1. Cathy in PA

I’ve longed so for a skirt in that same herringbone fabric, to wear with the Lace Jackets, and everything else that goes so well with those pants …

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy, since neither the jacket nor the pant sold well and were both on clearance, there is no way they will buy anything remotely like it. It seems many the best things in the most sophisticated fabrics are not successful.

            1. Barbara in Virginia

Hi, Louis! That’s hard to understand! I first bought that jacket and skirt in Stone, which I wore and wore and wore. And a complete change of look with the lace cardi or the faux-applique sweater from an earlier season. Very discriminating friends thought it was linen! The Stone was such a workhorse I later bought the Pale Olive, not the best color for me, but one which I can wear with colors that are more flattering. That suit is such a CLASSIC!!! And so comfortable to wear in the hot days of summer. Hard to understand why it wasn’t wildly popular.

  17. Mimi

Hi Louis.. I would like to order 3 colors of A213621 Pebble Crepe Tunic but I am confused about sizing. I know you hate to suggest a size. I take a small in all of your tops. This top seems to run large and I know it has very little give. Should I size down to XS or get a Small? Sorry but I need some advise and who better than you! Thanks as always.

    1. Sherry

Hi Mimi, I have the long sleeveless PCC tunic and my size Med is too large, after some more weight loss, I just put it in the dryer on delicate and the fabric draws up when drying…if it is too much, all you have to do is steam press and the fabric relaxes again…food for thought.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mimi….if you are a small you should not size down. There may not be span in this fabric, but the fabric does have natural stretch due to the pebble construction. You do not want this top to be small. It should be an easy relaxed fit…..better a little big than too skimpy.

      1. Mimi

Thank you. Have a good day.

  18. Luvitorleaveit

Louis how long have you been with QVC?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Since 2000 so this May will be the completion of 15 years.Very hard to believe.

      1. Luvitorleaveit

It’s been a pleasant 15 years too! QVC should be planning your 15 year celebration in May I expect.

        1. Carol

          What a jokster!

          1. Luvitorleaveit

Who me? I’m serious they celebrate everyone else even the host.

  19. Shari

    Louis
Will A259702 slim leg woven pant be coming back in new colors?
I think these pants are the absolute best fitting pants I have in my closet.
And trust me– I could open my own store with eveything I own.
I would love to see them in lighter Spring/Summer colors too!
Love the fabric on these pants and again- the fit? -PERFECT.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No Shari, they have not been reordered. It’s very difficult to get a woven pant reordered. The only pants that seem to re-order are knit pull-ons with a lot of stretch.

      1. Shari

Thankyou for the answer, even though it’s not the one I hoped for.
I love a woven pant, not so much on the knits as I feel they do
something weird to my silouette. The wovens are more structured,
crisp, and I love a freshly ironed pant, not that yours needed it.
I’m from yesteryear and mom brought me up to iron even sheets.
Still do to this day. Anyway, hope to see more wovens someday.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I definitely will have woven pants, but you must get them while they are avail, because the likely hood of them being reordered is slim. It’s just to difficult to get a woven pant to “fit” all the different body types as a knit pant that has more stretch……Some may not look better in knit pants, but they are more comfortable in them.

          1. Shari

A259702 is THE perfect fit for a woven. Never had a pant fit so well.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Wish the majority felt like you, but once again the returns were high, and therefore no reorder.

  20. Chris/Jazzmom

    Dear Louis,

Is the boho skirt coming back with new colors or reorders for summer? I was looking at all the bohos I own and I noticed that there is no wine or burgundy boho shade. Was there ever that color used in the boho skirt? If there is a future reorder, can burgundy or wine be added to the list? Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The boho has not been reordered for this spring, but I think, not sure, that it will be back in 2016. At the appropriate time I’ll ask for color suggestions.

      1. cathy

I am so disappointed to hear that there has not been a reorder for this spring and that there will be no new colors. What is QVC thinking? They are a staple in my summer wardrobe and I look forward to ordering new colors each year. In fact, I have a doubles and triples of some of the basics like black, smoke, and olive. I just put in another order for a couple because I am actually frightened that one day QVC will do something silly like letting this very successful classic fade away and I want to make sure I keep a stash so that I have them for years to come. Love you Louis!

  21. Anonymous

Louis…When you bring back A263783 your beautiful cardigan, could you please add cream or ivory as one of your colors? I love this cardigan. As I stated before, I know high quality when I see it and this one is it. I live in sunny San Diego so this is the perfect weight to wear all year.

    1. Anonymous

For some reason the system did not include my name. It is Clark55 requesting the cream or ivory cardigan.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

I think that would be a perfect choice…..if it gets reordered.

  22. queendiva

    Hello Louis,

May I make a suggestion for next spring?
The safari shirt is such a popular style. I tried it but cannot deal with the collar in warmer weather.I love the look of the sheer top! Would you consider designing a sheer v-neck cardi or V-neck top or mid-length collarless tunic? All with a tank or shell just like that of the safari blouse. Thanks you!

    1. Shari

Or how ’bout a mandrin collar!!?
And in Aqua, and Watermelon pink

  23. queendiva

    Hello Louis,

Any knits coming our way in Aqua or Platinum?

      1. Sherry

Last year, each month had a color story…will that continue this year? Could we have an insight as to what colors will be coming??? Pretty Please!!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not so much, and I never really know how they will script each show. None the less….I didn’t do such obvious color stories. It’s more about accents to add to your wardrobes.

      2. queendiva

        Ok. Thanks.

  24. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

I was thinking of purchasing a sweater to go with the Faux Silk Tunic (A251589) and Pants (A251590) in the Sea Green color. Would the Boucle Knit Open Front Cardigan (A239320) in the Dark Reef Green color work with the faux silk items? Thanks for any help you can provide.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti….I did check the colors together and NO, the colors do not work well with each other at all. The sea green is a hazy dusty soft color and the reef green is an intense brighter clearer color…..I think the faux Shetland cardigan, A259619 in the gray or stone look wonderful with the sea green. It’s all very harmonious together.

      1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Thanks, Louis. That sounds like a good alternative.

  25. Diamondscribe

Hi, Louis. I try hard not to submit requests to bring back vintage (long-retired) pieces because I’m sure you as a designer prefer to move on. So, this is my one “consider-bringing-back” plea. I’m wearing one of my all-time favorite knits (I think it’s WK). The item # was A92295. It is a dolman-sleeve sweater with a round neck on one side and a deep V-neck on the other. It is reversible. The garment was offered in Linea navy and spruce green. I think this is one of the best “twofers” ever. It had 19 5-star reviews and only 2 2-star ones. I remember on the forum that those that didn’t like the sweater didn’t like the webbed sweatshirt type bottom. They felt it was too casual. If the bottom was changed to the ribbed bottom of the recent oversized sweater, I think it would be dressy enough. That, or keep the casual hem treatment and bring it back as part of Linea Leisure. Either way I would buy every one of them…shucks…multiples of every one of them. (Note: I just looked at Q’s product page on this, it is 75 rayon/ 25 nylon, which means not WK right?) Please pitch this one again!

    1. Carol

I have that sweater in navy and wine. I would like it with long sleeves and the ribbed bottom you describe in wk. The reversible neckline on that sweater is so fun!

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

I own in in the raspberry and dark green shade (spruce or forest?) I ended up moving the label to the round neck side. I also like that top for when the weather warms up here.

    2. Pecan Cookie

I also have this in wine and navy, which looks great with the long floral tiered maxi. Since I am a sucker for dolman-sleeves, I’ll get whatever is available in whatever fabrication with whatever finishing. I was very happy with the length and also with the neckline on this and mostly wear it with the V-Neck infront since I didn’t find it too low to wear without a cami. :o)

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

You know I hate to disappoint, but this sweater you all and I loved….didn’t sell well at all. Many women just don’t get dolman sleeves. They think that style makes them look big.It took forever to sell it.

        1. LauraL

          Hi

I love the sweater. Have it in green and blue and still wear them. A possibilty would be to have a reversable neck line but change the sleeves to a different style. Those that like a lower v-neck would be happy and those that like a higher neck line would be happy. I would prefer long sleeves to 3/4.

          Laura

  26. Mimi

I am happy to hear about Flora. I agree and don’t understand why it is going to take 3 more years to retire the elephants. That should have been done years ago but finally. Hope you, Jac and the girls are all doing well. Do you know if there is a reorder of A214117 – Pink Crinkle Georgette Blouse? I have not been well and missed out on it. My husband enjoys the wk turtlenecks. Thank you for that suggestion or should I thank Jac? You seem to be an animal lover as I am. Have you seen the video on youtube re the lion opening the car door? If not, look it up. It’s hilarious and scary at the same time. Stay healthy and happy.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mimi. I’m sorry you missed the pink safari shirt. Unfortunately it won’t be back until next year. ….I think…..I can only think that the facility where the 15 or 16 elephants are going to are not ready to handle that many new ones at one time. You can thank Jac for the TN…it was her idea….we both love animals, and I must confess sometimes more than people. I did see the lion open the door on the news. He/she bit on the handle and opened the door terrifying! You would think they would lock the doors, and that the guides would have them do it before they leave the camp site.

      1. Mimi

I didn’t think about the fact that they could not handle all the elephants at the same time. Good point! My daughter has a Shiba Inu and since he was about 1, he has been opening gates and doors. She lives in the city and came home one day from shopping, just for about an hour and she obviously forgot to lock the door, that one time. When she got out of the elevator, there was Indiana, waging his tail. Since then, they all make sure the door is locked and it is a steel door. It wasn’t so funny because he could have gotten into the elevator if someone stopped on the floor and surprise to someone. Not so funny for them! The silver lining, there are cameras in the elevators and the doormen would see him. Shiba’s are extremely smart but they can be crazy also. Looking forward to you next shows.

  27. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

Could you do a tiered or other gathered skirt in a lightweight denim?

  28. Luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis I noticed the model wearing a white skirt are you bringing solid skirts in?

      1. luvitorleaveit

Ok I’ll be ready when you do!

  29. Donna

    Hi Louis,
Will you be bringing back the 7 row open work wire cuff to QVC?

  30. Happy Lady

HI LOUIS, I see A263783 Ottoman sweater in Aqua is back in stock in my size and wondering if it will go with A253576 Crepe Aqua pants. I have the Aqua crepe jacket and bought 2 pair of the Aqua pants. I love Aqua pants! If you have Aqua Crepe available to compare I would appreciate your opinion. I have also asked on the forum if any of the ladies have these two for comparison. Thanks, Louis
P.S. Bought Tangerine in this sweater and LOVE!!!

    1. Happy Lady

JustJazzMom responded on the Forum and says they are a no. So, cancel my question. Thanks.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Happy Lady…I checked my samples, but they are not the same even thought both fabric companies were given the same color. The pant is paler and not as vivid as the sweater which is more saturated and brighter. I will be doing more Aqua sweaters next spring, not this coming spring to go with the cardigan….The Aqua jean looks good with the sweater.

  31. Kate

Though I’ll admit it’s unsisterly, I want to get a jump on coordinating pieces for the upcoming striped cardigan. Is this the right skirt (navy)? A253411

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s the skirt, and I’ll be showing it with the matching navy tank in WK

      1. Kate

Ordered! Thanks for the heads up. I’ve worn the wool blend knit slim skirt to death so it was time for a new navy; this was just the push I needed.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning….do you have the navy pinstripe tights, ot the navy tights with the lace up the back?

          1. Kate

I have the lace in navy but now that you mention it, how AMAZINGLY designer and super-soigne would the pinstripe be with the striped cardigan? WOWZA. Off to order three pair (cause I wreck ’em fast).

  32. Maia

Dear Louis, please clear up my confusion about which top will come in the new sage color. A-254652, the Button Front Asymmetric Hem Big Shirt (current colors dark tan, navy, white) or A-233187, Asymmetric Hem Button Front Tunic with Collar (current colors black, grey, turquoise, white)? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Maia, A233187 is the one being reordered in black gray and white plus the new sage.

      1. Maia

Louis, great! I have the black and the white, and I’m looking forward to the sage later this year.

  33. Ann

If they have not reorders the sleeveless mock neck, how about a sleeveless turtleneck? It would be great under all your cardigans an jackets, and great on it own.A

    1. Ann

      Sorry for the typos!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

I sketched two versions….one with a waist whitting bottom and one plain…neither were chosen….sorry, I will try again.

      1. Karen in WA

Waist Whittling is not for everyone. Standard bottom will probably be accepted better. Some of us will just want it to wear under shirts and tops

  34. Marta

    Hi Louis,
Your opinion please. Will the black lace sleeved cardi look good with the black short sleved dress A262034? If not, what about the black safari top w/o the tank? I’m going to a wedding in early June in the Hamptons and will need something to cover up when the temperature drops in the evening. Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marta….I think it would look good with the short sleeve dress, but not the safari shirt. You should not put anything long sleeve under the cardigan and the safari shirt would be the wrong this….the tank w/o the shirt yes, but not the shirt. Any of my short sleeve or sleeveless WK sweater would work with a WK skirt or the Moss Crepe skirt…..The cardigan should be the focal point.

  35. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Ouch and double ouch Louis, that the sleeveless whisper knit mock neck has not been reordered! ~ A233947 ~ And thank you for the fair warning that I should get what I can now. I just hate it when my favorites do not get reordered 🙁 Thank you for the heads up!

  36. designista

Hi Louis, will A254652 poly georgette asymmetric hem big shirt be coming in new colors? I love the fit of this top in the shoulders and bust, and have the existing three colors…great with leggings!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….later in the season…Sage is the new color…it’s very soft like Aloe.

      1. designista

That’s the same new color as A233187 asymmetric crushed georgette button front tunic?

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

Is the polyester blouse A252345 been reordered with any other new colors added? I wear the pink one over the smoke feather jersey tank or the georgette smoke tank or anything red.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

            No…it didn’t make the cut…whatever these is…that’s it

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry..the shirt you mentioned first has not been reordered. It the crushed georgette that came in black gray, white and turq….that’s coming in sage.

          1. designista

Thanks for the clarification! That saves me checking daily for new colors on the one that was not reordered! The soft sage sounds like a lovely color for the crushed georgette.

  37. Carol

Louis, I can’t imagine that the Notch Collar Knit Cardigan (A263783) will not be reordered as the reviews have been so positive. Would you please consider making it in Perfectly Pink and, for Fall in Aubeguine?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

We will have to wait and see what the returns are. There are already sizes avail in colors and someone gave it one star for poor quality. Some one may not like the fit for them or a color, but One thing this sweater is not is poor quality and IMHO does not deserve one star.

      1. Kate

You might not have noticed that was the reviewers one and only review. Ever. Has troll all over it. If QVC would only require one to be a verified buyer before posting a review this would not happen.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Didn’t notice that interesting little fact

      2. A “one star” for that cardi is just ridiculous. I was thrilled that there were at least *some* returns as I able to wait list mine in Navy. And received it! Perfection! My first order was for a Medium, but what I got was actually an XS in measurements while tagged a Medium. Fortunately, I was able to sell it to someone who had missed it the first time out. I would LOVE to see this cardi in a return engagement. RED for me!!!

        1. Clark55

I agree with you Barbara…a “One Star” for this cardi is so ridiculous. I don’t understand the reviews sometimes. If the garment doesn’t fit the person’s figure it doesn’t always mean that the quality of the garment is poor. It just means it doesn’t fit that one person’s body type. I have this problem when I’m buying jeans. I just try on a different designer’s jean until I find one that fits my body type. I really really hope this cardi comes back in more colors. I would love one in a cream color. I purchased the navy and hibiscus and I know quality when I see it.

          1. Luvitorleaveit

One star for that cardigan is absolutely nonsense even if the color or fit wasn’t to their liking and they had to return it it would still be five plus stars. I was glad someone let go of the tangerine in my size and I even put in my review that I couldn’t imagine it not being reordered. I remember reading on either the boards or a review that the white leisure pants were thin and lightweight and you could see through them….really! They are not suppose to be sweatpants and they are definitely not see through although some women still do not know what color undergarments to wear with white; I still see women wear polka dots and all kinds of patterns under white….makes me cringe.

  38. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

Years ago, when I was in graduate school, I picked up an Anne Klein tiered (4 tiers, I think) skirt at Loehman’s. It turned out to be a real workhorse and was made out of such a nice, soft denim. It had a side zipper opening, but I would love an elastic waist at this stage of my life (and waistline). Could you do something like that again? I would be grateful.

  39. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. Great show, as always. You seemed very happy—saw you skipping over to the girls! I’ve been going through the Whisper Knit inventory—my very favorite fabric, and ordering “missing” pieces in my very extensive WK wardrobe. I picked up the Black Open Front Drape Cardigan which was a sorely needed addition to you WK line. When I saw Brenda in the WK Mock Neck in White with the upcoming Lace Sleeve Sweater, I grabbed the mock neck in both Black and White. I also picked up the Turquoise and Wisteria Cardigans and Sleeveless V-necks, Scoop Neck Tees and SS V-necks–whatever there was in my size in those colors. Some of the items were delivered today and while I really like the Turquoise and will wear it a lot—what I am really dying for is more WK in Aqua—in every WK piece—including T-Neck! It is such a stunning color and I missed out on them 2 years ago when I was traveling overseas—and my Size Small got gobbled up right away. I know I’ve asked you for the Aqua WK previously, so sorry to bug you about this, but I’d say it is one of your best colors—EVER!

All the best to you and Jac,

    Sheila/Sheesh

    1. Karen in WA

Amen! I have the aqua mock sleveless WK and the aqua jean jacket, pants (2), vest, and everything that coordinates with that, but I need more aqua WK. Even if it is considered a spring color, I think it is year ’round. I’d like the EN cardigan, TN, WK Scarf, Peble Crape safari top (I just received PP) and anything else you can think of. It is the BEST color ever! Please with sugar.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia…had no idea I skipped, and yes I did have a good time with Jill. She is very easy to have a dialogue with, and sh’s intelligent to boot. I like working with her very much……not often enough as far as I’m concerned……when I work on next spring I will definitely bring Aqua back.

      1. Sheesh

Louis, I’m going to look to see if you are skipping in the video of that item—can’t recall which item…but at least the halfway mark in the show….I’ll post back here and let you know if they captured you…

        Sheila/Sheesh

        1. Sheesh

OK, Louis, I found the video—it’s the Mock Neck Whisper Knit Sleeveless Tops, A233947, at 50 seconds in—sort of skipping, but whatever the move was—you looked very happy, and why not—you sold almost 5,000 of the Crinkle Georgette Shirt & Tank alone! That was fantastic!

          Sheila/Sheesh

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

OK. That is just “CUTE” – Sorry Louis! I had watched the video several times because I was so grateful that Louis popped the crinkle georgette safari shirt on Kate at the end of the segment, illustrating that the safari shirt can be nicely worn over SLEEVES, albeit short sleeves. But I had missed the “skip”….So put me among the 1000s of happy customers doing my own “skipping” routine waiting for my shirt and tank sets to arrive! Also Sheesh, the sleeveless mock necks are among my most favorite WK pieces. Glad you snagged the ones you wanted. I wear them under a plethora of jackets, cardigans, ottoman jackets and other flowy tops. Louis, please more sleeveless mock necks maybe in red, Perfectly Pink, camel, burgundy’s, hunter greens…etc etc.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…get what you can now…that style has not been reordered.

  40. debby

Found it, but now Im really confused – which color would go with the grey heather sweater? Thanks again!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry Debby….I don’t know what you are referring to as the questions come in to me as a list without the photos.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Debby which sweater are you referring to in Heather gray….the faux Shetland?

      1. debby

Thats it! the v neck long sleeved faux shetland cardiganI A259619- have it in clay and love that it has a heathery tone to it!! Which color necklace of j271862 would make this sweater look extra special – hard to see which color goes to grey from the multi faceted bead necklace bronze or black – does the bronze tone have more of the larger beads in the steel grey? Also considering J317652 free form bead necklace- wearing sweater with wk skirt and crew neck sweater in black Thank you zoo much for your reply!!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie…if you had to choose one style I’d do the J317652….the free form….root bear for the clay and gray for the gray….you could wear a silver earring with the grey like the Demi hoop or the bold hoop and gun metal with the root beer. Let me know what you decide.

          1. debby

Good idea! but similar to the look i just put together today wk black turtleneck ,pencil skirt-2 doubled faceted black bead station necklaces- silver earrings- black and silver buckled belt Hubby loved it “Smashing” wore today for holiday! If I buy the bronze multi faceted j271862 how do you think that would present over black wk crew neck sweater and sk skirt with grey heather sweater as a change of look – hit or miss? Have a Happy! Debby

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not sure what you think is similar? The free form necklace looks nothing like the jet necklace. The bronze are gorgeous beads and would look beautiful with anything you put them with. Didn’t you say you had the clay cardigan too? Over all black or gray with the bronze beads would be fabulous.

            2. debby

Thank you so much for your advice!! Thank you!!!

  41. debby

At what date can I find a picture of J271862 in black to see how it would look with v neck cardigan in grey? Thanks

    1. Seka

debby – just type in the number J271862 into the Search Bar (upper right) – and all the Pictures that Louis posted will come up.

  42. bcm

Louis I love your stunning Milano sweaters. They are so chic and stunning! Can you suggest some item numbers that would match the navy, tangerine and aqua sweaters? I’m looking for the column of color not other colors to coordinate them with.

  43. Saphira

I’m breaking down and ordering yet another Pebble Crepe Tunic in white this time and wonder whether the Moss Crepe Skirt would go with it? I’m not sure if it would be casual enough. I’m also adding another Georgette Shirt to my collection and have another Denim Jacket on it’s way in PP! I’ve been working on the right makeup so that I can pull off the PP and think I’ve finally found the right blush, thanks for your advice (the right makeup can make all the difference with color). Spring is here early and I’m getting ready for the warmer weather with new clothes, can’t wait.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Saphira….the Moss Crepe skirt would be wonderful with it, but I wouldn’t exactly call it casual. With the Moss crepe skirt it’s a little dressier than everyday wear…..Just making your face a little warmer with a bronzer can make a big difference and sometimes just a pretty lip stain on it’s own, or a stain over another pretty color can give a healthy summery look.

  44. Sharon

Hello Louis, great show but I need to know where you found the tennis shoes because I was loving the pink ones .

  45. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Good Grief! Now you are reading my mind!
    1. Thank you for showing the georgette crinkle blouse under another jacket as I was wondering if that would work.
    2. Thank you for showing the georgette crinkle blouse over an item WITH SLEEVES – as you did on Kate. Short sleeves of course, as I was wondering if that would work. And it does!!!
So I got every one I could snag, including the perfectly pink 🙂 Thanks!!!

  46. Renee

    Dear Louis
Will we be getting new colors in a233187 this spring?

      1. Chris S.

        Dear Louis,
I love this top. I missed out on the grey last year. Is it being reordered? I own the other colors and love them.
        Thank you!

  47. Julia

    Hi Louis,

I love the georgette safari shirt you showed this morning and have it in many colors (2 in white and black). Any chance you could do a new shirt with the same fit in the shoulders but a longer, A-line, tunic length? I’d love that as a sheer layer over leggings.

Oh, and great job this morning!

    Julia/Qulia

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

A233187, sounds like what your looking for

      1. Julia

        Of course! Perfect!

  48. Susan (aka carlytwila)

Hi Louis….I am seeking your opinion. Do you like the red zig zag top with the aubergine quilted jacket and stone pants? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
    Susan

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m at the Q will let you know when I get home…but it sounds good to me.

  49. debby

Cant wait for the A2596919 long sleeve V neck cardigan in grey – theres plenty of winter left, and I love the clay one that I own – but- which necklaces and skirts(shorter) would be best for it? Thanks Debby Looking forward to Spring!

    1. debby

Just ordered the Jacket in black and white , looks very sophisticated!- still waiting for answer to accessorizing grey long sleeve v neck cardigan in grey, necklaces skirt etc – hope to have it for the weekend -Great stuff!! Debby

  50. ceodih

    Louis
I just received an email from QVC about your shows tomorrow and they list 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Looking forward to your show at 4. I appreciate your beautiful designs.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know who is on at 2pm, but it’s not me?

      1. Yvette

Louis, I received the same email – and evidently QVC has sent the wrong time to the cable companies as well. I’m trying to set DVR for tomorrow’s show, and Cox Communications has you coming on at 2:00 to 3:00 pm EST. Very strange.

  51. Jules

Hi Louis. I just read Jac’s FB post regarding the Monday show and I’m wondering if there will be any new items or just re-orders and old favorites? I was really hoping for the lace sleeved cardi but I see that is not to be for this trip. Those new cardis look absolutely perfect and I can’t wait to get my hands on them. Thanks and “see” you Monday!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jules.. On this show there will be reorders and favorites. It’s a little early for the lace sweater, but I guess not if you live in the south…LOL. With all the snow here we tend to forget there are areas of the country that are warm!

  52. Linda Kerekes

    Dear Louis,
I have purchased your Whisper Knit sweaters and the large black shawl. How chic! I recently lost 100 pound as and I think I got the last pair of navy and black whisper knit pants in medium. But I want back up pairs in the black. Will you be bringing back the black pants toward the fall?
This knit is soo fabulous., packs well, and looks so great for almost all occasions just by changing accessories.

    Thank you,
    Linda Kerekes

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Linda….this is the third time around for WK pants, each time the leg has been a little different in the width. This was how I could get them done, and each time they have had high returns. I know there are fans, like yourself who have fallen in love with WK pants, and I understand why. They happen to be my favorites too…..but I doubt I will be able to convince my buyers and my manufacturer to go to the well again….It’s a matter of three strikes and their out.

  53. Renee

Louis was right Linea Ladies are the best!!! Thank you all for the help God Bless

  54. Renee

    Nancy (aka TheOwl)
Thank you Thank you for all your help! I can not tell you how grateful I am! I checked my post and it was there!!!!! So when you see tocatsandonedog that is me posting away.

    1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Fabulous Renee! 🙂 You go girl! Oops, I mean You Go Linea Lady!

  55. Renee

Thank you Sheesh! That is good to know! I will keep checking back.

    1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Renee ~ if you don’t see your review posted in 2 weeks ~ I’d hit the feedback button in the upper right hand corner of the page of your item in question and ask why your review has not been posted. OK to be a little “indignant” if you happen to be feeling that way. I’ve done this. Incredibly I got a phone call from QVC who explained – as has been mentioned that they do not always post all feedback. Now I always check the button requesting an e-mail when my review gets posted. Since that one time, I’ve always seen my reviews posted in about 76 hours. Rattle the cage. They will hear you.

  56. Sandra

I need a two piece outfit I can wear to a TX wedding in June. (I can’t wear polyester and dresses are hard to fit). Can you tell me if there will be spring/summer colors, say mid-deep tone blues or greens, that will be coming out soon in Whisper Knit?

    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sandra….there are always new WK sweaters coming, but I’m not sure if you would wear any to a wedding. There is one short sleeve scoop neck with a waist whittling rib bottom, and a scoop neck with the signature buttons down the front ending where the ribbing starts, but it will come in Ivory, Navy and Fuchsia.

      1. Sandra

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. Your clothing line is lovely. I’ve always been attracted to classic/updated classic styles and quality fabrics and workmanship . Even if the WK won’t work for this occasion, I’ll probably pick up a piece anyway…

    2. Victoria1

I have been looking for some thing for wedding too in August and found some great things…Since most top Designers are using the new version of polyester which is not your mothers polyester wonder if you looked at any of these

Sandra, welcome to Texas. It will probably be about 90 at sundown and could be much hotter. It could be really muggy if there is a storm or shower. I would not wear whisper knit here after Easter unless maybe a tank. If you like to dress simply, a nice cotton sweater and swingy skirt would be great. Or a fun dress with a shrug. At any rate, interesting statement jewelry and cute sandals are what you will see. I would be wearing Louis’s linen blend blazer from last year. We appreciate linen and good cottons or anything that looks like those in summer. One of Louis’s lace jackets would be perfect.

  57. Margo Ducane

    Hi,

I just received an Email from the “Q” regarding your air time next Monday. It said new time is 4:00 pm to 5:00pm.

    Cheers

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s correct…you really have to keep on your toes with the Q….I also just found out I’m going to be on FEW that same morning with Jane and Pat with the reorder Jean jacket….things change in a flash!

  58. Cathy In PA

    Hi Louis,

Just wanted to report back after receiving my 2 new Denim jackets today … I just love the Perfectly Pink, and the Bleached Blue is quite a lovely surprise! Sometimes light blue can be a little insipid somehow … not this; a very sophisticated and just beautiful blue color. One or both will go with me to the Caribbean in April … THANK YOU 🙂

    Cathy in PA

  59. Renee

    Louis
It happened to me again!!! Every time I write a review it just disappears!! I wrote one for the Dew Drop Necklace gave it 5 Stars sent it and nothing! I don’t know what I am doing wrong

      1. Happy Lady

That’s the last time Renee will post on your website..

    1. Sheesh

If I may interject here, Louis and Rene, reviews do not always automatically post when you submit, the Q reserves the right to read the reviews first to make sure they pass their community standards (this is stated in the fine print). It may still show up.

      1. Luvitorleaveit

I started checking back after a couple of days to make sure my reviews posted because I was having the same problem my reviews weren’t showing up either now I think you can check a box if you want to receive an email when your review is posted.

        1. Sherry

There is a box you can check and the Q will send you an email when your review posts…easy peasy….that way you know and they know you want to see it. I don’t recall where it’s at, but I always check it and I always get emails…sometimes 2 weeks after I wrote the review.

  60. Eileen

Hi, Louis, Thanks for always being so available and helpful to all of us. I just received the moss crepe skirt in the magenta, and I want to tell you how much I like it. Love the fit, the fabric, and the length. I hope it becomes a staple for you. I’m going to order the other colors, and I am wondering if you will have other tops in these colors, especially the magenta. I am not sure about the fit of the present one for me. Thanks as always.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am not doing anything else in this magenta for now. I don’t understand what you are saying when you say “I’m not sure about the fit of the present one for me”, after you say the skirt fits????

      1. Deborah

Louis, I think Eileen means she loves the skirt, but is not sure about how the top looks on her. She would like a magenta top in the same fabric and a different style.

I sized up on the top based on the click here measurements, and it was a mistake. I was able to reorder it in my normal size, and it fits perfectly.

I would also like to see additional tops in this fabric in other styles in the future.

I have been meaning to thank you for these new pieces and fabric. I love the way the moss crepe fabric glides over my body. Rarely does a fabric offer both this much comfort AND the body a garment needs to hold it’s shape and look good on every figure. Thank you!!!

  61. nicklaus1

The gunmetal fish is up for ordering on QVC. J317123

      1. Happy Lady

Your on a roll tonight with your witty replies!! Funny…

  62. Jane J.

I would never part with my School of Fishes necklace — no matter what the price! As a plus size, unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me as a belt. But, I do have another piece — it’s Anne Klein but not Anne Klein Couture — which has individual gold tone fish scales that move along on a more than 60″ chain and that can be secured as a belt. It must have more than a 100 of the individual scales on the chain — it’s quite heavy. It has the look of the fish scale bracelet, just a bit different. All very beautiful, unique pieces.

  63. designista

The crinkle georgette Safari shirt A214117 is up for ordering in Perfectly Pink!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Designista…..a little hint….since there are absolutely no perfectly pink tops avail in anything but the WK cardigan….I have used the PP tank that comes with the shirt and the WHITE tank that comes with the white shirt as layering pieces. The white one is perfect under the white pebble crepe reorder top with the pockets….if someone feels they need something. They are very light and comfortable layering pieces. The pink is perfect under the pink lace cardi.

      1. designista

Thanks for the insight! I use the tank under A233187 the asymmetric button front tunic in the crushed georgette, and A254652 georgette big shirt. It is so cool and comfortable where everything else is too hot.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Exactly my point….I don’t know if it can be worn on it’s own…..some say yes, but it’s the perfect cami for layering.

        2. Pecan Cookie

Thanks, designista. I’ll have to try the cami under those tops. That’s the beauty of this set. Cost per wear, it pays for itself with more mileage worn together or as separates. I have almost every color and wear them all year and as mentioned, when I separate them, they are used as layering pieces. I like the button shirt under a cardi and any of the tanks under a sheer top or a jacket. In the summer when worn together, they keep you cool and pulled together. Love ’em. Just picked up the pink to go with my PP denim jacket. I’m not a pink girl but I needed these two items! You all know what I’m talking about. Right?

Good morning, Louis, I just read on the forums that other fish necklaces are coming, particularly one that will be similar to the original “school of fishes.” Can you tell us anything about what’s coming? This is really exciting news!

WOW…..how did that news get out!!! Yes it’s true!! I have done a longer necklace similar in spirit to the long Palm Frond necklace, minus the gold beads. The “School Of Fish” necklace will have 5 fish the approx. the size of the earring….whereas the Palm Frond has 4 fronds. Again, they will be double sided with eyes on both sides, and the workmanship is superb. It looks wonderful worn with the FISH PENDANT. I know the next question will be what color metal. Because the necklace is somewhat pricy for QVC, they have bought a very limited quantity in the gold. If it sells well I will push to have it done in all the metal colors, but you know that will take another year…….I’m getting old waiting for things to be reordered!! LOL….I’m not exactly sure of when it ill be avail. The GM fish has been at QVC, but it’s still not posted, so I never know. It’s not due until later in the season anyway.

I believe the news was “leaked” by Godfreako, but, of course, it can’t be tracked now because those posts are deleted by the Q almost immediately. You have to be “Johnny on the spot” to catch them. Anyway, this is really great news. I have the original School of Fishes and it is, without doubt, one of my all time favorite pieces — the goldtone is so perfect and there is something very tactile about the fishes. REALLY looking forward to this new necklace! Let the stalking begin!

I was very lucky to grab an original AK couture School of Fish on ebay a year or two ago. Magnificent! It was one in a million, so to speak, and I got it at a very good price- well below it’s actual resale value.

Dear Jane you are so lucky to own that piece……you could easily get $300 TO $400 on ebay for the original…….have you ever worn it as a belt?
