Okay, this is very specific, but I’m asking anyway. I have the new slim pants in tan (and other pants in tan too such as the super ponte leggings) and the new sweater with lace sleeves in pink. I need a silky tank with a soft print that ties these colors together and similar color combinations such as the pretty aquas you do with tan. Otherwise I just default to white which looks like three separates I cobbled together and you, designer that you are, can’t think that’s the best option! You gave us the black and pink and black and tan tanks (and floaty cardigans) a few years ago which I love and wear often. I’d like a similar tank in lighter hues and a very subtle print that ties together the collections from this year to last.

    Told you it was specific!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Do you have the safari crinkle georgette shirt with the tank in the P. Pink? That works under all of the things you are talking about.

  2. Wendy/DE

    Dear Louis,
I just received the peacock tunic top and the blue ombre dress. All I can say is wow! They are just perfect in design and fit and the attention to detail is amazing! Thank you for your creativity and artistry. Love them!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Wendy….I am so happy you were pleased with you top and dress! Enjoy!!

  3. Elaine

    Hello Louis,
Enjoyed your Friday shows. Congratulations to you and Jac on your Anniversary. My sister and I celebrated our May birthdays over the weekend by exchanging Linea gifts. She was delighted to receive your Sage Dew Drop jewerly set and Grass Green 3/4 sleeve sweater.
I received the same sweater in Turquoise and the French Sailor sweater in Navy/Ivory.

As a birthday (or Anniversary) deserves more than one day of celebrating, I’m looking forward to continuing to celebrate when I “see” you in June.
Thank you and once again Congratulations and hi to Jac!
    Elaine

I don’t know why it called me “Anonymous” in the previous rely. Ah, Technology!

    Dear Louis and Jac,

Happy 15th Anniversary on QVC! You had a wonderful show. Everyone did a fantastic job.

I was pleased to see Jane calling attention to your jewelry. I don’t think I’ve seen any other host do that as well as she did.

Jane is such a good salesperson and always seems to give sincere thought and take care in selecting your most beautiful pieces (like that Perfectly Pink cardigan)to wear during the show. I remember seeing her wear a mockneck top (A87423) and the swing jacket (A87434) in Limoges Blue in one presentation. The combination looked so great on the air that I bought it (and later went back for other colors).

Thank you again for all you have done for us. We’ll always be grateful.

    Sincerely,
    Writer with Flair

  6. Chrystene

Louis – Do you think the aqua glass beads would go with the new peacock tunic? Maybe it would be too much? You always know how to style your designs perfectly.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chrystene….at first I thought ….no….but then I thought i had better check it out before I jump to conclusions….and…I kind of like them together. The beads are definitely paler than the print, but they sort of work with thew ombre effect of the print….so why not. If you want something that looks perfect with the beads, and you may own already…..the sea foam flecked sweaters are gorgeous with the beads, A255670, A255669, A224278….and some may be on clearance.

  7. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Just plain WOW on the two sea glass necklaces. And I’m one who loves having them come with a matching earring that believe me will get use with as well as without the matching necklace. Thanks for the somewhat shorter length on the earring also. Now I’m almost hopping up and down waiting for the waterfall as well as the sea glass sets 🙂

  8. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
I ordered the peacock top from your description before the show. It is even more gorgeous on TV, can’t wait to get it.

I tried to order the navy capris. I am on waitlist. Are any more coming in for the season?????

It was a great show – Thanks again

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJlady, I hope you like the top when it arrives. Unfortunately, that was the final order of the Capri legging, but there is the longer legging avail in navy and I believe it is on clearance. It was just reordered this year.

      1. NJlady

        Louis,
Do you have a style # – couldn’t find it
Thanks again – you are the best!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes thge style number is A252344. It is listed under Linea pants. The strange thing is they were reordered for Jan and put on clearance by the end of Feb???

  9. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I just received A254439 (tunic) in the grey and love it. I would like to wear this out with the grey legging and gunmetal jewelry. There will likely be a wee chill in the air though and I am trying to figure out which jacket / sweater might look nice with this color combination. Any ideas?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan the best sweater would be the A232520 shrug….next month I will have a short crop one button [at the neck] in black and ivory that will also look good. A traditional cardigan can also work, but you will have to realize the points will hang out and it’s a special kind of layering look that many don’t get.

  10. bcm

    Hi Louis,

Great show yesterday, as usual. Happy Anniversary!!! I’m sorry the Q didn’t make it an event and promo it with some fanfare. I have a question about the hosiery. You mentioned that the “tights” would return, along with a few new colors. Does this mean that your sheer hosiery or “tights” that came in nude, black and smoke will also be returning? I really, really hope so. I loved them.

  11. Anonymous

    Dear Louis,
So glad you and Jac returned home safely. Enjoyed the show, ordered 2 midi dresses, blue and goldenrod, and 2 tunic in peacock and fuchsia. Already have the lace sleeve sweaters and LL pants. The show was exciting and too short, you need at least 2 hrs. Happy to see the jewelry being showcased. I only buy your items from QVC now and have been purging other brands out of my closet. Really appreciate you and Jac for your caring spirit. Looking forward to the June show!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear bcm…..unfortunately they have not been reordered, but since they did very well perhaps they will be in the future.

      1. Enjay

LOVED the Smoke, Louis. I’m hoarding the ones I have – really hope these will come back!

  12. Terri

    Dear Louis:
Bravo on your show yesterday and Happy Anniversary of 15 years! I just received the navy and perfectly pink lace jackets to add to my collection, a total of five now, but who is counting? LOL! Can I say, the navy is an absolute knockout!

I am asking if there is any way in the future, you could bring us a neutral, shaped, sleeveless linen sheath dress to coordinate with the trim of these jackets? That would be a wonderful essential to our wardrobe, enabling us to wear any color of these fabulous jackets with one dress. Of course I wear all with the natural fleck tank and the natural herringbone pants, and other bohos and skirts, and the lace dresses from a couple of years ago, but these jackets are just crying out for a good, basic, fitted linen sheath.

Many thanks for any consideration of my request!

    Terri (TexasMom1)

  13. D

    Like to get newsletter.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Terri…I would love to be able to make a wonderful natural linen sheath dress, but due to extremely high returns on linen my buyers will not buy linen items.

      1. Terri

        Louis,

Anything, even a faux linen blend (like the herringbone pieces) would work, maybe? Those pieces are so easy to care for, practically wrinkle free, and very cool, even here in our hot Texas summers! Just begging here! Have a great weekend. Many thanks!

        Terri

        1. Karen in WA

I missed out on those herringbone pants and wish wish wish they could come back. I have 3 lace jackets.

  14. Mimi

Now that you and Jac are home safe and sound, I wanted to wish you and Jac a Happy Anniversary. I have watched you since your first show. You are an unbeatable couple. I bought several items and can’t wait to get them. As always, good health to you, Jac and the girls. Enjoy your summer.

  15. queendiva

    Happy 15th Anniversary Louis!
I don’t know where my wardrobe and I would be without you!
Wishing you all the best for continued health and success.

  16. Shan

I had to placed my order from vacation in Myanmar. Internet coverage is spotty but couldn’t misss out.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shan…..that sound wonderful…..exactly where is Myanmar? I know I’ve heard of it, but have not been there.

      1. Beryl

Myanmar is right next to Thailand. It’s very beautiful.

      2. Jane J.

        Myanmar is Burma.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s an area of the world I have not been to…..only through pictures……sounds very exotic!

          1. diane bloch

Louis I think it used to be known as Burma

          2. Sheesh

Louis, if you want a great book to read that is set in Myanmar/Burma—read Amy Tan’s “Saving Fish from Drowning” it is a fantastic book that I think you will really enjoy.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thanks for the suggestion. The few books I have read of hers are very descriptive which I like. Right now I’m reading “Killers of the King”, by Charles Spencer, Diana’s brother. It’s about the men who executed Charles the First….I think it’s going to take me some time to get through…..LOL

      3. Shan

It is in Southeast Asia and was formerly Burma. Laos and Thailand are on the southeast border. I am in Bagan right now. We started in Yangon and then went to Inle Lake. Inle Lake was a hidden paradise and was my favorite. Manadalay is my last stop. Hopefully my two new tops and my dress will be waiting for me when I get home.

  17. luvitorleaveit

Happy anniversary Louis and a fabulous show!E 3A

  18. Jackie

Well Louis, I bought everything I wanted and then a little extra! Great collection this month. I love the long necklaces shown with the watercolor tops. You said they were sold out. any chance they could be re-ordered? The colors look like they would be good year round. I have no idea where I was when they were sold – cannot remember them otherwise they would have been in my shopping cart.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jackie……no those necklaces will not be reordered. I would say in general from now on only the most basic styles like the demi hoop earring and the long pearls will be reordered. Once an item sells out it’s done. We want to keep the assortments always fresh and new.Of course there will be exceptions where the demand is so strong they will order enough to meet the wait list and then some ….like the fish pendant, biut that will be the exception. I know there are many women who are waiting to buy the Palm Frond group and now the School of Fish necklace, but I wouldn’t wait too long. Since the Palm group is now avail in all the colors I wanted to do it in…..once they sell out they will become collectors pieces.Good quality fashion jewelry can increase in price. I’ve seen vintage Anne Klein Coutour pieces on ebay sell for hundreds of dollars when they were origin ally double digits.

  19. Seka

    Louis,

    Happy Anniversary!

LOVED watching your 5:00 pm Show! You and Jane work so well together!

Purchased the Boho Tunic in Black – the Midi Dress in Goldenrod – and the Dip Dye Top in Flame!

I used to enjoy watching many different Shows on Q – but now – I only watch the Linea Shows!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning Seka….I’m so happy tou enjoyed the show….Jane was wonderful to work with. She is truly so sweet you just want to hug her!

If memory serves…HAPPY 15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY at QVC. I think it’s 15 years this May anyway. Thank you for all of the wonderful things that you and Jac have shared with us!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thanks for your anniversary wishes…….you are very thoughtful to remember …it is exactly fifteen years ago that I started at the Q

      1. Goldie76

Congratulations on your QVC anniversary, Louis! We hope you continue offering your gorgeous garments and jewelry for many more years to come.

        1. Pamela in Anchorage

Big Ditto! Feel very fortunate to have continued access to your designs since the Days of Anne Klein. I am from a family of loyal Louis lovers!

Keep up the beautiful work you do, please & thank you!

  21. Pamela in Anchorage

    Hi Louis!

Look forward to seeing you & Jac on Friday. Been out of touch with the Linea Forum due to an extremely busy work schedule. Very anxious to catch up with all things Linea.

Have a great show. I will be smiling back at you from Anchorage.

      1. Goldie76

I know I have! Welcome back, sweetie!

        1. Pamela in Anchorage

You be sweet, so sweet too, dear Goldie. I have missed you & all of the Linea Ladies!

      2. Pamela in Anchorage

Thanks Dear Louis – that’s so nice to hear! Wishing you & Jac a great Summer . . .please share those beautiful hollyhocks of your’s as soon as they bloom, o.k.?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

will do….we were worried about you when we didn’t hear from you……just a hi…I’m here will do!

  22. Marta

    Louis,
I just received and tried on the new slim pant and all I can say is perfection. I am so glad I ordered all 3 colors. I love the fabric, it looks look like the most expensive crepe and yet it is a knit with stretch. I will wear with your navy crepe blazer with your signature buttons and the light kahki pant to work tomorrow and I will look like a million bucks! Thank you for the perfect pant. I agree with Jac it is the best pant yet!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marta….great to hear from you. If you wouldn’t mind giving your review on the Linea site and forum it would be greatly appreciated.

      1. Judy

Oh I’m so excited and can’t wait to get mine! When you compared the new slim pants to the super ponte pants, I was all over them. The super ponte pants are my favorite pants next to my beloved whisper knit pants.

  23. Beryl

    hi Louis;
Love the fabric in the A265615 pants. Any chance for midi skirts and tops?
    The khaki is gorgeous.
    Beryl

    1. Beryl

      OOPS I meant A265615 pants

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl….this was a test. If the fabric proved to be a success then I would certainly consider it for next fall.

      1. Beryl

Fingers and toes crossed. I LOVE this fabric.

  24. DeLois

Louis will you have any more pants in deep navy coming for spring? I favor a shorter length than ankle length and wonder if that will be available in the future????? Thanks

  25. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,

Is the crushed gauze tunic sheer? It looks sheer on the website’s models, but not in your blog photographs.

    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Certain colors are more sheer than others, but you will still need a tank or cami under them.

  26. Kate

Would the new tiered boho top in black be too much worn open over a tee with the black and white printed crops from last year (A253573)? How about with the new slim pant coming in June?

  27. Kate

LDO, I probably know the answer but wanted to emphasize how awesome your hosiery line really is and my hope that it continues. It’s been chilly here in LA. Today I’m wearing your ivory short sleeve sweater with black lace-pattern embroidery (which I love and have in three colors A221793), skirt AND the tights with the lace back (A260032). Booties to make it less sweet. Might not have put tights with a short sleeve sweater, but the lace is airy and light; it just works. My point here is that I truly hope for more!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

This is the situation….they are bringing in the solid tights in the basic colors plus the new Tobacco and Olive [which we should of had last year to go with the Olive WK skirt and dress]. They are also bringing back the Legging in the base colors and the new Olive. They have ordered one new style which will remain a secret until the appropriate time, but it’s something very new, and i know you will love it. Until inventory goes down on the other styles they will not bring in any more new. It would be nice if they would put them in their mag or e-mail about them so more women would even know that they exist…..but that’s the way it is….at least it’s still going, but knowing who the manufacturer is…they IMHO are missing an opportunity.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

I’m still hoping for more “animal instinct” in the larger sizes which are mostly gone. They are such subtle stunners. And yes, I do know, you mentioned they did not reorder these ~ at this point. Still hoping anyway 😉

      2. Kate

I’m just happy to hear that they line continues with new colors! Until recently the tights couldn’t be added to the recommended products when reviewing an item, nor could they be tagged with a heart. I agree that if more customers knew about them…even so, seem to be lots of sold outs and broken sizes. The lace-back are only available in navy, for example. I’ll be ready to order come fall!

  28. designista

The school of fish just jumped out of my mailbox! The necklace is extraordinary, beautifully detailed and articulated. The price was really reasonable for the quality.

    1. Kate

      Mine is here too!

A piece of art and a true collectible.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m so happy you all like it. For the amount they ordered it already is a collectible!

  29. LindaSonia

Louis – love the lace jackets – is there a shell/top you would recommend for wearing under it? – preferably a short sleeve top because I can’t wear tanks (no shoulders and must wear shoulder pads and they would show if I wore a tank 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Linda…there is the WK short sleeve V neck and I believe a scoop neck. Just look and see what is avail in short sleeves in either Ivory, Latte or suntan. Also check the WK Twofer for the colors…..you can always wear the tank with other things.

  30. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, would you feel comfortable pairing the crushed gauze tunic shirt ~ A233187 ~ with the crushed gauze assymetric skirt from last summer ~A255139 ~ which I have in white, black and sky blue? Or is the cut, drape and nature of the tunic shirt more voluminous than the asymmetric cardigan ~ A255142 ~ which goes with those skirts and maybe not a good look together?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would….BUT …..only as an open jacket with a tank under it to match…so there is an indication of BODY…unwise you can look like a floating ghost.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Thanks! I figured it would have to be a jacket-look which is fine.

  31. Luvitorleaveit

I am so glad that the ombre dress is available to order – the goldenrod is on the way home to me and I can’t wait to see how my citrine jewelry looks with it.

    1. louis dell'olio

      it should look perfect.

      1. Luvitorleaveit

Just the earrings and chunky bracelet no necklace will look perfect. I want to see the presentation to see the models shoes then I’ll be set.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m not sure but I will probably use something from Marc Fisher….he has the best selection IMHO.

  32. Bonnie

Louis, regarding the boho tunic, I’m busty and with button down shirts, usually need at least a 51 inch chest measurement in a 1X. This is 50 inches. I assume it has no “give”? Would you say I would be find ordering my normal 1X size that I order in your knits? I love this new tunic in that flag blue……sigh…….. Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie….you are correct…there is no stretch to this fabric. If you need 51 inches and the shirt is 50 inches….it will be too tight….this is not a knit and can not be compared to knits that have give. If the 2x is too big measurement wise, then this may not be the top for you. Personally, I like these tops easy and loose not fitted and up tight, and I like them worn open as shirt jackets…..If you have a large chest that could cause the front of the shirt to hike up if it’s too small……Bonnie I really don’t know if I could recommend this for you.

      1. Bonnie

Thanks, Louis. I will then order the poly/span tunic in that gorgeous PEACOCK!!! I think that will fit beautifully! Looking forward to your next presentation!

  33. Cathy in PA

Just wanted to say “Thank You!” for the new colors in the Lace Jacket! I own all the original colors except the dark pink/fuschia, and will be adding all the new colors to my collection/addiction 🙂 The perfect year round jacket, perfect travel jacket, packs like nothing, dresses uptown or downtown, and every color somehow has a different look and feel … love it … THANKS!

  34. queendiva

    Hello Louis,
Love your Linea jewelry! I hope you do not mind me making a suggestion for a necklace I would love to see: long faux pearl or pearl&gold bead necklace with maybe four LL stations. A kind of Louis meets Coco look, LOL! Many thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear queendiva…….I totally agree…….it would be an instant classic….now let’s see if the buyers agree!?

  35. Chris S.

    Good Morning,
The tiered boho tunic is up for ordering, but the Q has black listed as one of the colors instead of navy which is in your sneak peek. Please let us know which is the correct color. I’m hoping for navy (I just bought a great navy bag and am trying to expand my navy wardrobe). I’ve already ordered the lagoon.
    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris……it is definitely black, lagoon and blue……did I say navy??? My pictures are definitely black.

      1. Chris S.

Thank you. The pictures sure looked black, but it was labeled navy. Thanks for straightening this out. I’ve ordered the lagoon and I am now trying to decide between the black and the flag blue as my second choice. I’m trying not to be too piggy and order all three! I have the black tiered boho skirt. Would this top be too much with the skirt?

        1. Chris S.

I just reread what you said under the flag blue tunic and you’ve already answered my question about the tunic and skirt together.
          Have a good show!

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…..That’s a good question, and I honestly don’t have a blanket answer…..I think it totally depends on the woman. I’m sure you have come across women and said “I wish I could wear that and pull it off”…..wearing these two together is something like that…….for some it will look great and others will look like they have been eaten up…LOL…..It really is about attitude……and accessories help.

  36. Karen in WA

Sometime back a question was asked about the lace leggings going with the lace cardigan and you suggested not. You did however, encourage us to get the striped leggings (navy) to go with the striped cardigan, which I did. I did plan to wear the lace leggings with the lace jacket (black). Some if us need more guidence than others. 🙂 So, weather permitting, when can we put lace together, and when can we put stripes together.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen….as you said I am here to guide…NOT dictate……The lace tights may look perfectly fine with the black cardigan, but not having seen them on I tend to be more cautious with my suggestions. I wouldn’t want someone to buy the lace tights with the sole purpose of wearing them with the lace cardigan and then not liking it together. Of course if you own the lace cardigan in black as well as the black lace tights then try it and see how you like them together. It might look fabulous, but without seeing it first I could not recommend it. As far as when to wear the tights and the sweaters together. I think your better judgement can answer that. If you live in Colorado? where they just had a blizzard, then I would say go for it. If you live in Florida where it’s in the 80s, I think wearing tights is way pat it’s season…….Usually, Sept through March is tight wearing season…..unless we have a very early fall and the temperatures drop, or we have a late spring and it’s still cold enough into April to wear them. After April they may think your a “bag lady” still wearing tights….LOL…..

  37. bcm

    Louis,

What tops in the perfectly pink do you suggest to wear with the pink lace jacker?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear bcm, Since there are absolutely no Perfectly Pink Whisper Knit tops left in any style in inventory, I will be showing the P.Pink tank that goes with the safari crinkle georgette shirt, A214117…..it’s a good alternative. It’s a good match to the pink sweater, and in the summer a good light weight top to wear.. The safari shirt is also an excellent summer shirt because it is airy and breezy…..a hard combination to find in a garment with sleeves. The pink tank is a great layering piece for many things……perfect under suit jackets or a jean jacket……Then you can always wear ivory or white, but if pink is the way you want to go…..then this is my suggestion until the Q orders something else in Pink.

      1. bcm

Thank you for your reply. I agree the safari shirts are wonderful I have them in black, white and navy. I will consider adding pink to my wardrobe. I do have the original tank that matches the trimming on the lace jacket. I just can’t remember the color’s name. If I wear that tank and pink lace jacket with a light slack (perhaps your brand new slim pant in light khaki), do you think that would work?

I own your herringbone slacks that went with the lace jacket beautifully, but I have lost weight and it is tres grande on me now!! Yea on one hand, boo because I can’t replace it with a smaller size.

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear bcm…..good news bad news….can you have the pant taken in…they are gems and go with so much! I think you are referring to either the flecked natural tank or the Latte Wk tank…..either should go with the new lt. khaki pant.

  38. MadameDuFiffers

    Dear Louis,

Wishing you and Jac the best on your upcoming shows. Hope I can catch at least one! Do you know which time slot the flame tunic and tiered tunic will be shown?

      1. MadameDuFiffers

WOO HOO! I think I’ll be able to watch that one!! Looking forward to it!!

  39. Enjay

Louis, I just got the new pants in all three colors. Wow, they look great and fit like a dream! I love the length – I’m 5’6″ and they are ankle length – perfect with high pumps, strappy sandals or ballet flats. I’m crazy about the light khaki – had on a black sleeveless turtleneck and black pumps when I tried them on … summer chic! I usually pay a lot more for pants this good, so I’m very happy!

  40. Kate

LDO, new pants are just exceptional! Love the fit, the fabric, the versatility. Ordered navy and black; going back for a second pair of each. They remind me of some very $$$ Italian-made pants from another designer.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s great news….so glad to hear you got the light khaki….today I got a sample of the reorder V-neck WK sweater coming for fall. It’s in the new wheat color and they look wonderful together for a column of color. They aren’t a match….more tonal

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

That V neck is that A217629 that is coming in the wheat color? If it is, that is my favorite WK top for winter wear along with the peasant top (A237410).

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Good news Kate….I think they are fabulous too, but you never know….every one has their own opinions…..I’m glad ours are the same.

  41. JBCinSD

    Hi, Louis,

In the presentations of two of your “big shirts”, A254652 looks somewhat less full than A233187. Is that the case?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear JBCinSD….I would say yes. The A254652 has body seams so there is less fullness. The gauze shirt is free flowing and hasn’t any seams, however they both drape into the body.

  42. designista

Hi Louis, The asymmetric hem button front tunic A233187 in sage is available for ordering with no color swatch. Is this sage the same as in A214117 the safari shirt?

      1. designista

You did reply and stated the color is paler, but it came through as an email.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          The color is paler

  43. Jeanie

Hi Louis, I’m afraid I have yet another pants question. The small’s in the super-ponte pants had a 39″ hip measurement, and this new pant has a 38″ hip measurement. The smalls in the super-ponte’s were perfect on me but that’s because of the stretch. Do you recommend going with the same size in this new pant or should I consider going up to mediums? Waiting for you reply before I order all 3 colors. Thanks!

    1. NJlady

please Louis – answer this question.
Want to order & need answer – Thanks

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJlady…..Am I missing something? What’s the question????

      2. louis dell'olio

Sorry for my confused answer….when I go directly to my comments page there is just a list of random questions…..when I come to these pages the questions are as you see them here…….I am going to ask the fit tech before I answer this….I’ll get back to you.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have heard back from the fit tech, and first, as I thought, this is a KNIT, not a woven and the description will be changed! I have been told , also as I thought, you should stay with the small. The Super Ponte is a beefier and heavier fabric than this.

  44. Merrylass

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My mother LOVES her Mother’s Day gifts (black lace cardigan, white lace cardigan, black whisper knit skirt). I made the mistake of showing Mom the pink lace cardigan … and well, let’s just say that I’m ordering the pink lace cardigan for her as well. Thank you for contributing to her wonderful Mother’s Day!!

Hope you and Jac enjoyed the day as well.

  45. luvitorleaveit

Well I just got back home from my trip and ran to the post office to pick up my three lace cardigans….I LOVE them! The material is perfectly light and even though all three are the same pattern each have their own look if that makes sense. I immediately tried on all three and now don’t know which color to wear first-like tomorrow to church. I didn’t have an issue with the zipper like other ladies but I already own quite a few double zipper items from other designers so I am use to it. The versatility of these sweaters is wonderful; the lace is soft like your other lace pieces and caresses the arms and shoulders. I also appreciate the band at the end of the sleeve. I just came back from almost ninety degree weather but here in NYC it’s still quite cool especially at night but I can still wear the cardigans with my whisper knit tank tops in the coordinating colors. Thank you Louis for all that you do to make us not only look good but different in a good way….heads turn and compliments galore are guaranteed.

  46. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,

Several months ago, you posted the fushia moss crepe top with a tutti fruitti necklace. Is the necklace a discontinued item, or was it an advanced peek? I cannot find it on the QVC website.

Also, I messaged back and forth with Jac in late January/early February after she posted a condolence message for my mother’s death. I had hoped she would share with you as I wanted to call into your very next show to say what a beautiful, giving person your wife is. This is something to admire and cherish, how she reaches out to others. I’m just a stranger on the Internet. As I face my first motherless Mother’s Day, I wanted to find a way tell you of my appreciation.

On a second side note, I receive many compliments when I wear your garments.

    Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Rochelle, both Jac and I lost our mothers, and my father, the same year, her’s in August, mine two days before Christmas eve, and my father ten days later. Jac was extremely close with her mother…..they were practically joined at the hip, so I know her heart breaks for you. Everyone we know confides in Jac….it’s just who she is. As a model her look was aloof and cool, but she is just a big mush. I will certainly pass your message to her and I’m sure she will be happy to hear from you.

      1. louis dell'olio

I forgot to answer you about the tutti frutti necklace….vintage Linea.

        1. Rochelle

          It’s a beautiful necklace.

      2. Rochelle

My mother and I were like that, too. Thank you again. I’m sorry you had to experience so much loss in such a short time.

  47. Carol

    Dear Louis,
I’m sure you’ve had just about enough of questions about the new pants, and not to worry. I’m ordering all the colors no matter what. I’m just curious, as I am sure some of the other ladies are, whether there is something that will be paired as a set with these pants. It will probably affect how many ladies order them now rather than waiting for the show. If there is a partner to the pants, there will be pain if the sizes/colors diminish before it is revealed.

    crdlb

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Carol….not to worry….these are stand alone pants in a new fabric……as I said Jac tried them on, and thought they were terrific fitting pants. I know it’s because of the stretch.

  48. Karen

Louis, you liken the new pants to super ponte, the Q says they are woven. Do I have this right?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Karen, I will check on Monday if they are a woven or a knit. I think they are a knit due to their incredible two way stretch. They act more like a knit….will let you know.

  49. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
The new slim pant has inseam of 28″
the ponte was 30″ and perfect- I have long legs and a little nervous

    1. NJlady

      Hi Louis,
I just checked and my mistake the ponte was 28″ also.
Are you saying this is very similar fit to the ponte – like a summer version
If so, I can’t wait to try
      Thanks
Any additional info on fit would be great since they won’t be on till June

  50. Eileen Currie

where can I find the Linea by Louis Dell Olio Yellow Vest in XL, please? Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Eileen…..if it is no longer avail on the Linea QVC site, the only other place to look would be ebay….unless one of the other ladies has another suggestion.

  51. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. FYI—A265615, the new Slim Leg Pant is up and available for order…

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheesh….that is a total surprise since this pant wasn’t planned until the June show. This is a fabulous new fabric with lots of stretch. When Jac tried this pant on she thought it was one of my best fitting pants. Think of the fabric as the Moss Crepe on steroids. I liken it to my Super Ponte legging, but it’s a hybrid between a legging and a slim pant….You must try at least one.

      1. Kate

I’ve already placed my order for black and navy and am excited to get them home. I need more work-appropriate Monday-morning slip on and go pants; these seem ideal!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m sure you will love them…..Jac thought they were the best so far, so it will be interesting to see the reaction.

          1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

How was the length on Jac? I like a shorter slim pant, but sometimes they fall at a funny spot – too long to be a crop and too short to be full length.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t remember. but all the pants are short on Jac. If I remember correctly because they are slim they looked fine. She liked them….that was enough for me.

      2. Sheesh

Louis, I already placed my order for all three colors as soon as I saw them. They are “in process”!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t remember. but all the pants are short on Jac. If I remember correctly because they are slim they looked fine. She liked them….that was enough for me.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Good…..I was informed they did post them early, but won’t have a formal showing until June 4.

      3. Barbara C

        Do these pants have pockets?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          No pockets

      4. Rochelle

Are there any plans to make a petite version of these pants? Hemming likely isn’t enough; I need the petite proportions for rise and hip, too. Thank you.

        1. louis dell'olio

          Sorry Rochelle….petites were not ordered.

          1. Rochelle

Is the fabric one that can be cut and hemmed if I find the rise works? Thank you again.

            1. louis dell'olio

              Yes…..very easily

  52. Jane J.

Hi Louis, I know we ladies are never satisfied, but, the Q changed the poncho picture on your page and now there is just a small underlined link to your fabulous jewelry collection. When the poncho picture was there, to the left there were four very visible direct links to Linea Body, Linea Leisure, the Jewelry and Limited Quantities. This morning I looked long and hard to find the jewelry link before I realized it was in the small description next to your picture. I think customers not familiar with your page will have a hard time finding the jewelry. Just FYI….

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I was informed of this change….not much I can do about it.I will forward your message.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I just went to the Linea page and the Poncho pic is still there but the listing of jewelry etc is no longer to the left next to the pic. It’s now below the box at the left. Are we getting different images??? Maybe mine hasn’t been updated??

        1. Jane J.

Louis, Yes, we’re definitely getting different images! I no longer get the poncho pix. It’s a picture of you with a little write-up to the left titled Forever Fashionable. The last sentence has what is the link to the jewelry: “Shop his apparel below which pairs perfectly with his fashion jewelry collection.” [fashion jewelry collection is underlined and turns out to be the link]

          1. louis dell'olio

If you haven’t found where all of the divisions are…Linea Body, Linea Leisure etc etc are on the left side bar under Collections.

  53. Happy Lady

I was going through my closet last night and pulled out A223658 princess seaming maxi dress from 2012 and noticed it is same the fabrication as LL line. Came in black, reef green and violet. This dress was a real winner according to reviews and I wonder since you did a white jacket in LL fabric A262035 if you would consider encoring this fabulous dress in white. Love the princesses seaming; higher waisted dresses don’t work for me; at all. We are missing longer white skirts and longer white dresses that would really expand our LL fabric wardrobe and get a lot more wear out of our LL jackets. Also, love WK bolero A223660 in coordinating colors of the maxi. Is the ivory and black bolero you mentioned coming in June this bolero? I really like this type of bolero; more of a cropped knit jacket with elbow sleeves. I do not like boleros that don’t meet in the front; they seem to be more on line with a shrug and those of us who have larger chest do not look good in open front boleros. Sure would love white skirts; short and long and white dresses; short and long in LL fabric. Thanks, Louis.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear HP, the dress you are speaking of, to my surprise, had high returns….so I will not be repeating it. White anything is a challenge because of see though……they usually cost more money and more labor due to linings. Even fabrics that aren’t see through are complained about so no one wants to do them…….the Bolero is coming in June…..supposedly.

  54. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Morning Louis. On the waterfall necklace – what is the length of the necklace around the neck? Is there an extender and do you know what the length is of that also?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I believe the shortest length is 18 inches with a 3 inch extender. In one set of the pictures I mention there are two pics one at the shortest and one at the longest, but I don’t remember which color necklaces show it. They actually appear in m ore then one color….you can tell by where the necklace hits the tank neckline.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Thank you Louis, sounds perfect. And did not notice that you showed each color in both lengths! So beautiful.

  55. TexasBarb

    Hi Louis,
I was wondering if you could tell us about the new Pull On Slim Pants (A265615) that were posted last night. I would love a sneak peek if possible so I could get a better idea of what the pale khaki looks like. Of course, the black and navy would be nice as well.

I am looking forward to next Friday’s show and appearance on FEW. I am happy to have gotten the School of Fish necklace ordered and can’t wait for the Watercolor Print tops and the maxi dresses.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear TexasBarb, I just detailed the pant to Sheesh……They are supposed to be on my June show so I don’t understand why they were posted??? They may not be posted long! They are in a new fabric with lots of stretch and fit great…..according to Jac, and she has had a lot of pants on including Linea.

  56. Cela

    Hi Louis,
I know you’ve had this question one million times. Are you going to sneak peek the short sleeve WK bolero–or whatever you are calling it?
I’d love to know the colors. 😉

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It isn’t due until June, so it’s too early for a sneak peek, but the colors are ivory and black only

      1. Anonymous

Okay. Another quick question. You mentioned the colors in the Marigold maxi dress as being dark brown. So which sweater would you recommend?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would recommend the Coffee Bean open front Kimono cardigan. It’s loose and easy and has no buttons to distract from the print. The sleeves are 3/4 length so it’s good for bangles……A229721

  57. Kathy/Wis

A school of fish are heading to Wisconsin!

  58. Beryl

    hey Louis,
Just am wearing teak and black striped cardigan. What a fabulous fabric. Thank you.

  59. Jane J.

WOW, Louis! You made my day! Just hooked my School of Fish necklace to go with my original one. So happy that you got this posted early! Many thanks!

    1. Kate

Got mine too! Betting these are an endangered species? Not many to go around?

  60. Marta

The School of Fish is posted!

  61. Chris/Jazzmom

Is it possible to ask the Q photographers to switch out the poncho wearing woman on your Q homepage with something more summery? I get warm every time I see the woman in the mulberry poncho.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ve already asked, but they aren’t too fast.

      1. Cela

They should put up your gorgeous OMBRED dress. There hasn’t been anything like it on the Q. JMHO, I love it!

  62. nikki

    Hello Louis,
I have on the ikat print jacket today and I absolutely love it. Can you tell me if you have any more items coming this summer in the lightweight cotton fabric. I absolutely love it, so I am hoping for more. Thankyou

  63. Carol

I just use a pencil and carefully run it across the zipper. Great lubricator–as are old candle stubs.

  64. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Two share-points on the lace sleeve cardigans:
    1. I know this is not what you were thinking when you designed these cardigans nor is it what any of the ladies were thinking when they bought them if you read the blog comments online at QVC under Linea regarding these cardis … but I always planned from the get-go to wear them OVER light weight polyester solid colored long-sleeve blouses or tops. I am beyond thrilled at what the white sweater looks like over some milky knit Simonton tops I have in red, navy blue, black and brown with matching longer skirts same fabric and color. And the perfectly pink looks really stunning over the gorgeous perfectly pink Linea blouse I bought in 2010 ~ A219796 ~ and the white in that same blouse is lovely under the white cardi. The safari crinkle georgette in PP and in W also pair up beautifully under these cardigans. I always wear shoulder pads and this kind of blouse underneath covers them beautifully and a contrasting blouse color highlights the lace in a striking way as well. Just my minority-view-take on this cardi.
    2. A number of ladies who have received these cardigans have complained at the QVC blog site about difficulty with the zippers. I admit that I have broadcast there yet again my devotion to ZipperEase at Amazon – about 4 bucks for a fat crayon sized stick of it. After reading the comments, my two sweaters arrived yesterday and I had the same problem others had complained about with the zippers – unable to start them, unable to zip them up after the first try-on. I grabbed the ZipperEase and hit the teeth at the bottom of the zipper – keeping it off even the zipper tape as I did so – and lightly hit the teeth up about the first 1 1/2 to 2 inches and presto ! ~ beautiful results and no more zipper issues. Just passing that thought along again here since I shared it with you once before regarding all 3 of my WK zip front cardigans ~ A257380. After Zipper Ease never another problem with those zippers. I feel sad when someone returns one of your beautiful cardigans over a zipper issue that COULD be a simple fix at home. As a closing note: I will take your double zippers any and every time I can get them on a jacket or a cardi. They open up SOOO many incredibly flattering options for the plus size woman as to where you desire to position the zipper. Double Zippers are the bomb and thanks for these beautiful lace sleeve cardis!

    1. KathleenAlice

I recently posted on the QVC Linea forum that my lace cardigans measured 48 inches for the black large and 44 1/2 inches for the white large. The click here measurements say a large is 43 1/2 which would have been fine. I received some comments from customers who had the same problem and sent theirs back. I sent mine for an exchange for medium which arrived today. The medium is 43 inches in both colors but the sleeves are tighter and the sweep is smaller. Now I wonder if I should send again for the large which is my Linea size in everything I have bought from you, Louis. The cardigans are beautiful but I am disappointed that I may be between sizes. What do you advise? Were the cardigans made oversize for possible shrinkage? Again thank-you for all the beautiful clothes My closet is quickly becoming a Linea closet!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…..thanks for all the suggestions and zipper advise. If only more women would try it. When QVC and my manufacturers see returns because of 2 way zippers they jump on the band wagon not to use them…..they also cost a lot more money than a conventional zipper so they would love to drop them, but I see why they are so valid sstyle wise and comfort wise. I can smell trouble ahead.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

I sure hope not Louis. I TREASURE 2-way zip jackets like A230025 ~ the tortoise shell 2-way zip jackets, and cardigans like this latest lace sleeve cardi. I admit, sometimes I find it hard to understand how quickly some choose to give up on a fine product when often, there are things one can do to make a simple adjustment that could possibly work for them. And A257380 – the WK sweater that some customers had zipper problems with – I’ve worn those all winter without problem after treating those zippers. Maybe it’s my background from childhood in garment construction. Even when I screwed up on something, was I not going to proudly wear my creation? No Way! After my mother died when I was nine, my father told me that I couldn’t have money for clothing but that he would pay for any and all things I was willing to sew. I learned fast! There’s always something that can be done to solve a problem. Perhaps too many people just don’t want to fuss with that or want any more hassle in their lives. I get that. But Louis, so long as I have YOU to design, make expert and exquisite fabric selection, and take care of all the construction at a consistently high level of quality ~ so I no longer have to do any of that anymore ~ well, this is my home.

    3. Sharon Santourian Holman

I agree, love the double zippers! The option of undoing the bottom zipper gives such a lovely shape

  65. Kris

Louis: Am I dreaming, or do I remember you saying that A233187, the asymmetric hem button-front tunic in the crushed gauze fabric, would be back in a new sage, as well as some of the other colors? If it’s coming back, do you know about when it is supposed to arrive? I already own this top in two colors, and I love it. It is the perfect top for travel and for summer. I’m anxiously awaiting the chance to buy my third color.
