……………………………..It is very difficult to find jewelry in OLIVE and WINE……….Solid color metals are usually your only option, and that works…..but when you want something that looks totally different and unique the FLEUR-DE-LIS CROSS, J271859, and the ENAMEL STATION NECKLACE, J271861 could be your answer. I am always looking at historical references as a source of inspiration. The Fleur De Lis was the emblem of the French Kings, so what a great starting point to create something special………………….The Cross has a metal “cage” inspired by the Fleur-De-Lis. It encases a resin cross in the olive or wine. I also chose to use a satin gold finish to give the piece a patina that did not fight the color of the cross. If it were a shiny finish it would have been too strong and overwhelmed the cross beneath the cage………The enamel station necklace is a series of irregular metal stations that have a “bead” rim….all in metal. The center of the station is ENAMELED in either the olive or the wine. Spaced between the enameled stations are clear olive or wine beads bordered with tiny gold beads. Again, the station necklace is in the satin finish……….These are perfect pieces for all of your fall clothes, but don’t think these are seasonal pieces. Come spring and summer they will work just as well with your tanks and especially your safari inspired pieces……………and……today it’s all on EZ Pay………………….enjoy………………….much Love…………………Louis

……………………Color blocking is a term that you hear often…….What is color blocking all about?……Is it just cutting a garment up in pieces and placing random colors any which way?…..For a color block garment to be successful it has to enhance and flatter the body……….The eye should be focused on the positive aspects of the female form…….cutting and creating shapes that bring out the best of you………When you look at the COLOR BLOCK TOP above, A267881……where is your eye drawn to? I would guess, for the great majority of you, it is the center stripe. Your eye is immediately drawn “IN”….not outward. Anything that draws your eye to the center, and in this case with a vertical stripe, is slenderizing………The stripe borders on the sleeve balance the weight of the center stripe going down the front, and the sleeve border “grounds” the garment….These are all design details that you see, acknowledge, and then forget about, but when you put the garment on you know for some reason it’s becoming to you…….the shape is an easy swing with an asymmetrical hem….not too exaggerated…..just enough to continue the eye in the vertical movement….The top is approx. 27 inches to the center front for the XS………The colors and the placement of the colors is very important!. I chose the darker color as the center stripe for two important  reasons…..The first being….if you wanted to achieve a column of color by continuing the color from collar to the hem of the pants….it’s better to do it with a dark color bottom, and you are more likely to own a darker neutral bottom than an accent color. If you choose a light contrast bottom, as the ivory crepe above, you still have the eye focused to the center of the garment………The second reason is….the dark stripe is the perfect background for your new SINGLE BAR NECKLACE [sold out], or the SILVER TRIPLE BAR necklace [avail in silver and chocolate only] shown above. They are both the perfect pieces to accentuate the “LINEA” effect you want…..The LARIAT is also another perfect necklace with this new color block tunic……That is not to say that other necklaces will not work as well…for instance the FALLING LEAVES and the DINGLE DANGLE necklaces will give you different, but equally beautiful looks…..The COLOR of this tunic is………COBALT with NAVY………………..Navy leggings, slim pants, and pencil skirts will give you great options for changing up the look depending on whether you want to go casual or more dressed…….Grey and Ivory trousers plus jeans are other options to choose from……………..The fabric is my RAYON/SPAN jersey that I have often used before. The quality of jersey is weightier than most used on QVC. ………………………….GREY and BLACK is, and always will be, one of the most sophisticated, chic and elegant color combinations. It’s always easy to coordinate bottoms when black is used. There are many of you who like to wear belts to accentuate your waists, so I have used a very thin BLACK PATENT belt to cinch in the waist to show how the top looks belted, and it works beautifully………The BLACK MOSS CREPE SKIRT is ideal to mix with the Rayon/Span top…………….GUNMETAL is my metal of choice……it has a certain EDGE…..but silver will look terrific too…….Black Opaque tights will naturally look great, but I think a BLACK SHEER TIGHT will give an unexpected sexiness to a very sophisticated look…………………enjoy……………..much Love…………………………….Louis

…………………………………..The fun in creating COLOR BLOCK garments is picking the colors………You have your combinations that are totally understandable and classic, such as the grey and black…..and then….the less expected, and often times the most exciting combinations………The VIOLET and GRAPE is just that……FUN,  EXCITING and UPLIFTING………………..It’s the perfect top to quickly throw on with a pair of jeans, your CHOCOLATE FALLING LEAVES NECKLACE and EARRING set…………and off you go…………..When winter sets in adding COLOR becomes more and more important. ………………………………I chose to show the………..HUNTER GREEN and CHARTREUSE…………..combination last, because it is probably the most special…..and unique……This is especially for all of my green lovers…………….In this case I chose the Chartreuse as the accent color down the center, and kept the Hunter Green as the main color. The Hunter Green WK Pant is the perfect compliment, and I know there are many of you that own them, because they are almost completely sold out.
