************With each Christmas that passes………I seem to get more and more nostalgic. I am so glad that I grew up in the 50s, 60s, and 70s………The innocence of the 50s…….a carefree childhood where the most important activities of the day were playing OUTSIDE with my friends until my mom called us in for dinner. My brothers and all of our friends would gather at my house and we would build snow forts and have the best snowball frights. Who could make the best snow man was one of my favorite competitions…..Even though I was the youngest…I usually won, but then my mother was the judge and I was her baby!…My favorite shows on TV were the “Hardy Boys”, and the “Mickey Mouse Club”……The whole family sat every evening at the dinner table, and my mother would keep the conversation lively. I miss sitting with my father after dinner listening to all of our Christmas favorites…..Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney singing “White Christmas”, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Burl Ives and “Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer”, and of course Frank Sinatra singing “I’ll be Home for Christmas”…….so many many more……. My father would pour me a cordial glass of Raspberry Liqueur …..”now sip it and enjoy it” he would say as we happily listened to our own private concert……I believed in Santa until I was about seven or eight….until my two older brothers told me “there is no such thing!”. I remember being devastated as my mother tried in vain to convince me otherwise. In a split second there went Santa along with the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and all the other fantasies we believed in with all our hearts…….However, the wonder of Christmas and the meaning of Christmas was never lost…………..Times have changed, and I never dreamed we would see the things we are all experiencing now………. Jac and I treasure our little corner of the world……our little piece of heaven…..where nothing can intrude….. We keep the traditions of our parents alive. Every evening I play our favorite Christmas songs, and have added a few to the list…..like “Danny Wright”…….Jac cooks and bakes all of the things she so enjoyed doing with her mother. Every Christmas out come the ornaments that we have collected, and every Christmas we remember the generosity of our Linea friends who kindly sent new treasures to us when out tree came tumbling down…….I am happy to see that my nieces and nephews are continuing to carry on many of the traditions that my parents taught their parents who have in turn taught them, and are now teaching their children…………..In this crazy horrific world it is so important to keep these traditions alive…..that love and kindness is the most important thing you can have and share…………………………………………………………Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you………………….much Love………………………Louis and Jac

………………………………..New this month, and avail at the end of December on the 29th, is the V-Neck Cotton/Span Tee Shirt, A267872. What is VERY IMPORTANT to know is….this is a new fabric for my Linea Ladies. It is a LIGHT WEIGHT quality cotton. The fiber content is 95% cotton and 5% spandex, and it has a very SILKY SMOOTH finish. I know you will all love the feel of the Tee shirt, and I know my southern Ladies will especially love the new light weight. The details are subtle,but make this a little different from many others. Starting with the V….you will notice in the picture above that it is a wrap over V. The bottom has a curved hem and there is the Linea Signature subtly emb. at the bottom. The short sleeve gives a youthful look. ……………………………………….The V-NECK SHORT SLEEVE TEE with the CURVED BOTTOM, A267872 will be avail. in XXS to 3X…..I would say it is an easy fit….not boxy, but not nipped in at the waist…Your regular size should be fine. If you are in between sizes I would size up. I always feel Tee shirts should be easy rather than a close to the body fit, but that’s a matter of opinion, and how you personally like your clothes to fit…….This Tee is made in a new LIGHT weight COTTON SPAN…..perfect for southern climates. For those of you who don’t need or want to layer a long sleeve under another long sleeve this is the perfect alternative with the new L.L. jacket………..The BALTIC BLUE is a wonderful clear blue….as opposed to a royal blue that has purple undertones….the Baltic has green undertones………a great color for ALL SEASONS…………………….enjoy………………………….much Love……………………..Louis

……………………………………..Coming this Dec. 29th will be a new group of LINEA LEISURE items……Since the Holidays are basically over….can you believe it! I felt Leisure is the way to go…..You can never own enough Leisure clothing…….because “Leisure” has taken on a new meaning. These are not clothes just for your leisure time…..so I would call them “lifestyle” clothes. These are clothes to live in…… for play, work and even going out for less formal occasions……The BANDED JACKET above, A267866, is in my BALTIC BLUE and BLACK combination. This is a fabric most of you know by now. It is in the 92% cotton and 8% spandex. I think by now you have decided if this is a fabric that works for you or not. I will say the great MAJORITY of you do love it, and it has proven to be very successful, so I will continue to use it. This jacket has lots of special details. The jacket has a contrast “baseball” style band collar…….contrast bands at the bottom of the sleeves…….contrast band pockets…..a contrast bottom band…and contrast armhole “racing” bands. The front has an asymmetric closing with a gunmetal zipper and a gunmetal SIGNATURE ZIPPER PULL. There are PRINCESS seams front and back which gives the jacket an easy fit……..The FIT on this jacket is EASY. The classic hoodie, that many of you own, has a much closer to the body fit, and many had to size up. This does not have the same close to the body fit….so I would NOT suggest sizing up or it may be too big and shapeless. The length of the jacket for the XS is approx. 27 inches. The jacket is top stitched all over to give each seam a sharp look, and accentuate the shape…………The NAVY PANT, A267868, is in the same cotton spandex blend as the jacket. Actually, all of my Linea Leisure bottoms are made in this fabric…….The style of the pant is more like a LEGGING…..Remember, the basic pull-on L.L pant will be returning this Jan. and is a very different silhouette…….From the top……it has a “California” waist band, which means it is fully elastic, but the band turns to the inside of the pant. MAKE SURE that when you try it on you do not try to pull the band to the out side. It is tacked down at the center front, back and side seams, but when you pull it on you may pull the band up which would feel very uncomfortable. When Jac tried them on she didn’t realize what the style was, and her fingers went under the band and she tried to pull it up……She soon realized something was wrong and folded the band in to its’ proper position……The top darts on this pant are like the Ponte slim pant, and the Super Ponte Boot Cut pant. They go from the top of the pant and slant to the side seam as a pocket would do. I have found this gives the top of the pant a smooth fit. The leg of the pant has a DIAGONAL SEAM DETAIL…….something like a riding pant. It is higher on the inside of the leg and slants down to the outside of the leg. The leg opening for the XXS is approx. 4 1/2 inches …….The INSEAM measurement for the xxs is approx. 29 inches. For my shorter ladies if it scrunches at the bottom that’s good too….or if you prefer it can easily be shortened, but try it this way first…..you may find you love it. It is a different look, but it is a look that designers create on purpose….These are pants/leggings that will become a useful part of your everyday wardrobes, and I know you already have lots of Linea Leisure tops and Linea tunics, sweaters etc. that you can wear with this new pant…………..A267871, is a new Turtle Neck in the cotton span fabric…….It is very classic in that it has long sleeves, and a straight bottom. The XXS is approx. 25 inches.. The color shown above is the new BALTIC BLUE……a beautiful saturated color……….These are leisure clothes that are all about comfort. They can be worn at home, running errands, going out to the movies or a casual dinner with friends. I don’t think you can ever have enough casual leisure clothes………………enjoy……………………..much Love…………………………..Louis
