    Hi Louis.
Your new pearl earrings with the white pearl are on sale for $79.20. The grey pearl ones are not on sale. The necklace is not on sale either. Some time could you post a picture and explain the necklace. I ordered the white pearl earrings. So glad I waited.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The way QVC does business is a total mystery to me. Why put one color earring on sale and not the other. They don’t even have the grey pearl necklace posted yet and they were all shipped to QVC at the same time….SLOPPY.

  2. Donna from California

I recently read that Logo, Judith Ripka, CWonder and Isaac Mizrahi, all brands that I’ve seen on QVC were bought out by a company called Xcel. I wonder if that means that people like Isaac Mizrahi are now just paid a salary to be brand ambassadors for the line that someone else designs or do they continue to design. You may not know but I’m curious. If they are not designing the lines they represent it certainly seems disingenuous of QVC to present them to the public as if they are the designers.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna…you just read this???? First, CWonder has been dropped from QVC a long time already. The brands you mention, as far as I know were always owned by Xcel. Maybe not Ripka at the beginning, but they have owned all of these brands for a long long time. Do you really believe, Isaac, Lori Goldstein and Judith Ripka sit and design these lines????? NO, NO, NO. XCel has a huge staff of designers who design ALL of the products, and the designers approve them. How many times have I read comments that it seemed Isaac didn’t even know what the line he was presenting was. Lori isn’t a designer….she’s a stylist….never had design training…She probably sit in on design meetings and makes her comments…..They are basically Brand representatives. There are no true designers left on QVC that I know of…..except for Dennis, and I’m not even sure he designs the stuff.

  3. Kay

    Hi Louis,
I miss you on qvc. I live in a rustic but beautiful small town on the shores of Lake Michigan. I like to dress nicely, but shopping must therefore be done online as the only clothing stores are Target and Kohls here. Recently I attended a wedding and pulled out of
my closet your black lace skirt (A379905) and white button down shirt (A349644). I wore a leather obi belt, heels, and a pearl choker peeking out at the collar with matching pearl drop earrings. This 65 year old grandmother got LOTS of compliments that evening! Thank you so much for all you have done and still do for helping us ladies look our best!!
    Best regards, Kay

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kay , you took two beautiful pieces and made a terrific outfit. I’m sure the compliments were well deserved!

  4. Cindy B.

    Hi Louis!

I love your blog and have been reading it everyday since you started it. I have a question about pants and would love to know your thoughts. Are skinny jeans/pants on the way out, and are straight leg and boot-cut styles in? I know that both straight leg and boot-cut have never gone out of style, and it depends upon one’s preferences, but I’m curious as to what you think.

I’m seeing less skinny jeans on fashion blogs and magazines, but plenty of women still wearing them out and about. There are also many offered on the Q, HSN and elsewhere, so it would be great to find out what you think about them.

Thanks so much for your expertise!!

    Cindy B.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cindy…..certain styles and trends reach a saturation point and stop becoming the “it” thing. That really applies to designers and editorials in magazines. They are always looking for the next thing to become the new “it” trend. Designers aren’t showing skinny because they have done it for so many seasons and easy pants with wider legs look newer. Straight leg and boot cut are in the classics category, though the boot cut shouldn’t be extreme and fall into the flare or bell bottom category. You will continue to see skinny bottoms sold because women want them, and the stores will still sell them as well as on line sellers like QVC….but the fashion blogs and magazines are finished with them…..which doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be worn.

      1. Cindy B.

Thank you so much for your reply, Louis! Always appreciate your thoughts and insight. 🙂

  5. Nikki

    Louis,

Has your cherry blossom tree started to bloom yet?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Nikki….They are just starting….another week and they should be in full bloom.

      1. Anonymous

        Yes, and they look amazing

  6. Marie

    Hi Louis,
Perhaps this has been mentioned here previously and I missed it. Talbots currently is featuring their spring collection highlighting many items with lemon designs in prints, embroidery, even costume jewelry and shoes , etc. It is all pictured on their website. I remember you saying the last set of designs you created for QVC, but which were never produced, featured lemons. Perhaps they saw your designs somehow or were “inspired,” after. hearing about yours. I thought it was Interesting!

  7. Andrea

I don’t know if it is a mistake, but there is a bunch of jewelry stuff that just posted that has been out of stock for a while. Returns processed maybe? I bought the wine “swirl” necklace and the gray triple strand necklace. Looks like a new watch posted as well!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Andrea, I have known there would be additional postings but we weren’t told which items. There will be many more too. These can’t be returns because they are well passed the allowed return date. QVC hasn’t told us where this inventory came from??? Maybe from another shipping warehouse that just doesn’t have great procedures and they have just been sitting there????? We were told there are many vendors who’s jewelry will all of a sudden appear. Keep watching….more will show up!!!It’s just so unprofessional.

      1. Andrea

I received my jewelry pieces today. Love them! The return address says Florence South Carolina, but they are still showing as in process on my order history. Strange. The order doesn’t show as having shipped but I have them. The tracking number doesn’t track it all the way from origination. I guess maybe they used a vendor to get it to my city.

        1. Andrea

The tracking finally showed up. The jewelry was shipped from West Chester, PA.

      2. Emily DePalo

Dear Mr. Dell Olio, I just found out why you are no longer at QVC. I am heartbroken for you and their lack of loyalty, and I’m sad for myself and all who love your special clothing line. You were always a gentleman and brought a level of integrity and class to QVC. This is a big mistake on their part, and you deserved to be treated with much more respect than they obviously showed you. Will we be able to find your clothing anywhere else? Thank you for all the great years at QVC and for elevating my wardrobe. You are sorely missed.
I live in Little Italy in Manhattan, NYC. There was a small seafood retailer owned by a gentleman who shares your last name in my neighborhood. He is retired now. I had heard that he was related to you….his first name is Phillip. Are you related to him? Just curious. God bless you. Be well, stay safe.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Emily….this Dec. I will be out of QVC for two years, and I have to say I do not miss it. It is not the same company I joined 20 years ago….I don’t know a Phillip Dell’Olio, but we could be distant cousins. There was a branch of the Dell’Olios I didn’t know.

  8. Sylvia

Hey Louis! Glad you enjoyed your vacay!
I got the curb link ring in yellow gold. It is absolutely gorgeous! Of course the picture doesn’t do it justice!
I got the earrings on Just Jill. LOVE THEM!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sylvia, I’m so happy to hear you loved your new jewelry…..As hard as we try to show the jewelry on camera, and in the photos, they just never do the jewelry justice. All of the jewelry is just so much more beautiful in real life. Wear it well and wear them in good health!

      1. Liz62259@aol.com

        Hello,
I have many pairs of Linea pants in a size 20. I have lost weight and would like to find them a new home. Would anyone be interested?

  9. Pecan Cookie

Saw the leaf design jewelry on the Q today. Whoa! So very nice, Louis.

  10. Pat Hill

    Hi Louis,
I got the paper clip necklace in rose gold and white pearls today. It is beautiful and the paper clips sparkle. Do you know if Jill does easy pay so I can order the gold and the silver? Or just go with the idea that you that you can’t take your money with you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pat, I’m so happy you like you necklace. I’m really not familiar with Jill’s business. I would assume it would say so on her site for each individual piece the way QVC does it…if she does offer it, but I truly don’t know. My guess, since it would be a lot of follow up, and she’s a small business…I would think no.

    2. Andrea

If Jill takes PayPal, PayPal will do something that’s kind of like easy pay. I think it’s more prudent to not use things like easy pay or extended pay, but I do think PayPal has it.

  11. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Good morning! I have been enjoying the previews of the new jewelry today. I went to order the new hoop earrings at qvc and they appear to be gone already! Are they sold out, and if so I am hoping these become a staple and are reordered! A classic!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Susan….I thought they were still avail in the Gold. However they have been reordered in all colors, and they are in production, but be patient. It will take a few weeks as they are very precise with their manufacturing. Once they are delivered to QVC who knows how long it will take them to post them???????

      1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Excellent news! I will be patient! 😁 Thanks for letting me know!

  12. Noreen

    Good morning, Louis
Just a quick note to say that, I too, read your blog often and desperately miss your sweet, kind and generous spirit on the Q. And let us not even mention how your departure has negatively impacted my wardrobe! You are most definitely missed. I am looking forward to your collaboration with Jill. Be well and know how much you are missed.

  13. Evelyn

Louis,I absolutely love your jewelry. I especially love your pieces on the Just Jill Shop. I was just wondering, ok hoping, that now that you are featured on Jill’s site you might surprise us with some fashion pieces. Is there any chance that we might see some fashions from you ?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No Evelyn….apparel is much more complicated to do than jewelry, and now that Elaine has closed the business I have no desire to start from scratch. The minimums on each apparel piece are huge.

  14. Pat Hill

    Hi Louis,
Has all the new jewelry been posted on either QVC’s site or Jill’s site? I am leaning towards the paper clip necklace in rose gold. My rose gold earrings arrive today.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

as of now yes….that is everything Jill is getting………….for now, but we haven’t planned anything until we see how this jewelry does.

  15. Ceicei

    Louis
I got your new hoop earrings in all three colors. You are right they are perfect. Also, a great sale price. They are almost gone, but I did leave a review. More of this simple style and quality, would be great. I have bought over ten pieces of this ss collection. They work well with my current lifestyle. Thank you.

  16. Joanne C

    Hi
What date is your big announcement? I have heard it is March 1. Is that correct?
    Thanks

  17. AJ

    Hi Louis,
With Spring 2022 approaching, can you give us some suggestions on what to wear? Maybe some new ways of looking at some of your pieces that we have collected over the years. (It might make a good “series” of posts, LOL). I would appreciate it very much and I am sure your other readers will as well. Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear AJ….since I don’t know what you own it’s hard for me to suggest other ways to wear it. I always suggest you lay your bottoms on the bed, and randomly pull out tops and put them together with accessories. Sometimes the most unexpected combinations will surprise you…mixing colors and patterns…..That’s what I always did…..Don’t be afraid to explore the possibilities…..If you have an open mind it can be a lot of fun!

      1. Julia

Louis, just the simple suggestion of laying out the bottoms and holding up different tops with them is a little gem. Just that suggestion will make me look at my clothes differently and freshen up my look. Thank you for continuing to blog and share with us. Hugs, julia

  18. Leslie Postero

    Louis,
I am so sorry for your loss of Jac. She was a delight to watch during your presentations.Your talent and creativity was truly appreciated by those craving the quality of your garments. Your whisper knit was the best all around. Whenever I slip on the turtleneck shell, it fits like a glove and my confidence soars.
I know you said all things must come to an end, but I hope you might still doodle a bit – who knows what you’ll come up with next.
TS Eliot said: What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.
    Thank you again,

  19. Peg B

I received the moon and star earrings in silver and love them.

I just ordered the anniversary hoops. They are on sale for $69.99 which is a bargain for such beautiful jewelry.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Peg, I’m so happy you love them. The pictures don’t do them any justice! You can’t tell the proportion or size or really see how they sparkle. I know you will love the hoops. They are perfect everyday hoops. Please do me a huge favor and post on the QVC site your reviews!

      1. Anonymous

I ordered both hoop colors Saturday at $69.99. The silver is sold out but now the gold is on sale for $89.99. I have the matching bracelet in both colors. Will post a review.

  20. Rena Goldstein

    Hi Louis,
I have been a fan of yours since your Ann Klein days. I am a proud owner of many Linea pieces since I discovered you on QVC.I am in a very competitive business in Manhattan and need to look polished,, professional and successful. I get compliments wherever I go when I am in your clothes. I have recently lost some weight, just enough to need my pants one size smaller. When I went to replace them, I saw to my great sadness that you are no longer at QVC. Are they crazy? You were the best they had. Will you be making clothes again? If so, where can I get them?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rena, I no longer manufacturer apparel. I am now just designing Sterling Silver and Sterling with Gold plate jewelry which is on my jewelry site on QVC.

    1. Donna from California

Louis leaves QVC and stocks plummet!

  21. Vickybliss

    Goodbye QVC!
Over the few months I have continue to buy As Is linea and have gotten some lovely things I missed.
This week my credit card was hacked so I had to removed it from all vendors. I choose not to replace it with another card at QVC. With no credit card on file, I will never again shop at QVC. So many problems!
I’m going out with style with a red turtleneck which has just shipped. I have enjoyed the good times, and love I enjoy reruns on YouTube.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think you have gotten the best…of course now you can’t get any of my new silver jewelry.

      1. Vickybliss

I didn’t close my account, so I can order you jewelry and pay by check.
Your jewelry is the best. Love, love my silver bracelet.
Thank you, Louis for all your hard work.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

OH GOOD….I wouldn’t want you to m is some beautiful pieces that are coming

    2. Gigi DiminoEbert

Hi Louis…..I have been searching for you all over…not the swiftest with technology…however I have found you. I really miss seeing you on QVC, and your classy and fashionable clothing. I am hanging on to every piece I have from you…they always look “right” and appropriate. They are always flattering and garner many compliments.
It’s a pity QVC took the tact it did, as many of the new lines do not stand up to the quality of your line. I have returned more clothing than I have kept….I think if their lines keep going in this poor direction…we will have to rename the concern…QVC bargain basement! Thank you so much for all your beautiful clothing…please stay well, and now that I know how to find you….I will look for your blog, pod casts, and products….Gigi

  22. Andrea

Hi Louis. I have really been enjoying your pieces this winter. I wore the long black embroidered skirt with silver embroidery on it for our Christmas Eve service with a silver Lurex top. It was nice to get dressed up. It seems like I see more and more ponte pants. You were ahead of the curve! Prescient. I wish I could still shop your clothes. I bought a bunch, and haven’t had time to hem them all, so I still do get to add your pieces to my wardrobe periodically

As far as jewelry, what about a clunky silver chain? Is that considered fine jewelry?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Andrea…..Anything in silver would be considered fine jewelry on QVC….it would all be about price.

  23. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Brrrr-it’s cold!!!! I have a fashion question. I adore my faux suede pants and have them in every color and shape (lucky me)! They wash so easily and are so soft, cozy and warm! The alabaster is pure delight! But I am struggling with the right January shoe…. I am tall so they are on the short side of an ankle pant. What would you pair with these for a casual look?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Susan….I’m assuming your question is referring to the alabaster color. Being an “ankle” pant does pose some problems. Ideally an alabaster flat shoe boot would be perfect, but your chance of finding that is like finding snow in the Caribbean!. So for style of shoe I would say a shoe boot high enough for the pant to cover the top of it…..preferably a flat one, but not necessary……for instance if you are wearing it with a black TN or any black top a black shoe boot with a tea cup or even a spike heel would work besides a flat heel…..a little dressier. Since finding anything in alabaster is going to be difficult I would probably try to coordinate the shoe with the top color. A flat skimmer would also work well. You could wear one of my nude sheer knee socks and a light gold metallic flat or again try to match the top you’re wearing. A black ballet flat with a black top and black sheer socks could look very good. It also is easier with a slim bottom pant and not a boot cut bottom. Let me know how it works out?

      1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Thank you thank you! I am off and running now! I have bootie options to match tops, as well as your Linea Body pieces. I needed that burst of ideas from you to solve this problem! Hope this finds you well! ❤️

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

SUSAN….also an animal print would be fun. Edleman on QVC has some fun leopard flats, but the sizes are very broken. There was also a snake skin [faux] bootie in beiges and grey that would look good, but again sizes are minimal….Leopard hair calf shoes shouldn’t be too difficult….they come out every season……you just have to do a little searching.

          1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Another great idea! I have several pairs that fit this description! My alabaster pants are suddenly free from the closet! You really have me combing through my shoe collection….Yesterday’s combo for a chilly day was a black t-neck, vivid pink whisper knit, alabaster pant, and an vintage pair of Stuart Weitzman high top sneakers in ivory and black. The “ivory” was an exact match. I had forgotten I had them!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

              Love those combinations…..isn’t dressing fun!

  24. Jackie from Wisconsin

    Hello Louis,
It has been a long time since I have commented on your website but that does not mean I don’t read your blog. Regarding selling your silver jewelry at the Q, would you consider selling costume jewelry, similar to the jewelry you sold to coordinate with your collections? A few days ago, I straightened out my jewelry trays which are full of Linea jewelry. I often purchased several colors of one item. I looked at each piece and consider myself lucky to own such lovely, lovely quality pieces. Timeless. I collected for years. I know I could buy on eBay, but most for sale I already own.
This morning, it is 3 degrees in Wisconsin. With the cold comes the sun, which is beautiful against the snow. My husband, who always encouraged Linea purchases, still tells me I look good when I wear your clothes and jewelry. He recognizes every piece. He had open heart bypass surgery October 30 and is doing fine. Luckily he recognized that being out of breath was a sign something was wrong and it was not just old age and being a couch potato during COVID. He corrected the problem before any damage. We were not able to spend our usual Christmas in Switzerland this year because he is not ready for travel yet.
Regarding the Q, there is such a sharp change in customer service and fashion offerings. COVID really prompted and drove the stay at home/work at home look. Lori Goldstein is a master at color combinations but her silhouettes are all similar. Isaac has some classic pants and tops and Kim Gravel has some nice pieces. Her feather knits are similar to your knits. Other than that, it is slim pickens for me when looking for business casual. The one thing that you offered your customers was a variety of silhouettes, fabrics, and mix and match collections. One day you would introduce a tailored suit jacket and the next a lovely summer dress and the next lovely jewelry. Ahhhhhh, those were the days. You are missed.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Jackie….Costume jewelry isn’t part of the plan as of now…..It’s totally different manufactures, and with TCJC not in the picture anymore there is no structure for a costume line.

  25. Donna from California

    Just venting my disappointment…
I have the black sequin top and decided to order the navy for my daughter. I loved it on her and knew I had to have it. I received notification that it was it was coming from the QVC distribution center with the fire. Now it says back order – which we know is not possible. Bummed! My fault for not ordering it sooner.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I wouldn’t expect much to come out of that facility…..Besides the fire and water damage the smoke damage probably destroyed a lot of the inventory. I also understand people were hurt in the fire. Check ebay!

  26. Joanne C

    Happy Holidays Louis
I just wanted you to know I purchased your Sterling Silver “All You Have to be is Wonderful” necklace. I have owned the silver hoops and bracelet for at least a year. The necklace is substantive, unique, and lovely. Fortunately for me QVC refunded me the difference between original price and current sale price. I am so looking forward to your new collection of sterling silver and gold plated jewelry designs. When do you expect us to be able to purchase your new jewelry?

Louis, I am still beyond bereft that I can no longer purchase your beautiful clothing. Most of my closet is beautiful Linea! Thank you for tempting me so much for so many years.

  27. Donna from California

    Hi Louis,
Wanted you to know that I wore the red faux shantung jacket/top and the necklace with beautiful multi-colored jeweled medallions on each (side with strings of red/royal blue/pearls etc strung between the medallions) to a holiday gathering and received raves! I was surprised by how many men complimented me on the jacket. The following day I received a text from a party goer saying “THE RED JACKET” was to die for. I’m so happy that I have so many Linea items in my closet and especially happy that I have been a Linea lady for so many years.

  28. pamela in the sunny south

Hi Louis, If you find yourself looking for a movie, on Netflix, Holiday in the Wild…Rob Lowe in Africa. Reminded me of your recent safari. Also, love RCMH. Was there in Dec 2019 just before we knew of covid..Love it. Merry Christmas

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Pamela, I saw the movie twice, loved it. I wish I could work in one of those baby rescues.

  29. Merry

Every lovely garment, every piece of jewelry I bought of yours on qvc was impeccably made. The materials, colors, fit and design were perfect for me. You not only made the buyer happy, the people who saw us in your clothes were happier, too. You made our fashion world a much better place. Quality and good taste cannot be faked. Your designs are both. If you’re not at qvc, neither am I.

  30. Susan (akaCarlyTwila)

    Hello Louis!
I am sitting in my salon chair – just gave one of your necklaces to my stylist. It was pristinely wrapped and did not look like returned inventory. The bead on the bottom of the medallion is broken, with the little nail detached. Are repairs still available? She loves it! It is no longer available.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Susan I am happy to report they will fix the necklace!!!! Marty, the owner of the company told me they really don’t do repairs anymore, but he will make this one exception!!! Send the necklace with a short letter stating what is wrong with the piece and that you are a long standing Linea customer. Mail a check for $9.30, made out to TCJC LLC and mail it with the letter to:
      TCJC, LLC
      3 Industrial Drive, Unit B
      Smithfield, R.I.
      02917

      1. Susan

        Thank you!!!!! ❤️

  31. pamela in sunnny south

So sorry to hear about you precious Lily. I can’t bring myself to get another doggie because it hurt so much long ago…They are special. Count me in as one of those who stays abreast of your postings without comments. Still love and wear almost exclusively Linea for all occasions and at home. Wills keep looking on various websites for pieces.

    1. Pecan Cookie

Beautiful! That’s how you will look and feel. 😊

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

WOW Sylvia. The shoes look perfect. Thanks for sharing. I’m sure their are many women who own the navy sequins and other dark navy clothes that these shoes will be perfect with.

    3. Barbara (1Jac)

I wore the caramel sleeveless turtleneck and matching cardigan yesterday. The piece de resistance was the “Twisted Sister” necklace in gold. ( love that name!) It was a knockout! There are still some necklaces available in that color at reduced prices. I heartily recommend it. Happy Holidays to you Louis and all my Linea sisters.

    4. Joanne C

I also own both the black and midnight blue sequin outfit. I love them. They are such show stoppers and do flattering!! Enjoy

  32. Anonymous

Hello Louis! Thank you for the “All You Have to be is Wonderful” necklace, and the “Over the Moon and Beyond the Stars,” locket. Both in gold for me. I miss you, Louis. I hope you are well. All my good wishes to you. Happy Thanksgiving. ❤ XO, Irene

    1. G

      Hello Louis,

Are jewelry repairs for your sterling and gold over sterling pieces being done by TCJC LLC? If so, are they still at the same address that you previously posted, and is $8.50 still the cost of return shipping?

The bolo clasp on my “You Are the Star of Your Own Life” necklace is broken (the teeth inside the bolo clasp seem to be broken), and I want to have it repaired. This is a beautiful necklace, but due to the broken bolo clasp, I can only wear it at its longest length.

If TCJC LLC is not doing these repairs, please let me know if another company is doing these repairs and if so, their address and other information about having the repairs made.

      Thank you.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am no longer in business with TCJC so the short answer to your question is no they don’t do repairs. Since the manufacturer is in Italy, and no one has asked for a repair since I started doing jewelry with them, so I have no idea if they do such a thing. I’ll ask, but I’m guessing you would have to pay for the shipping of the piece back and forth to Italy which can be very expensive…..I’ll ask. What piece are you talking about and what’s the problem with it?

        1. G

This is about my “You Are the Star of Your Own Life” pendant necklace. The bolo clasp on the necklace does not work. It slides to the ends of the chain and does not grip so that the length of the chain can be shortened. I purchased 2 of these necklaces, one in silver and one in gold over silver. The silver necklace is fine, and the bolo clasp works. So I know how it should work. Unfortunately, the gold over silver necklace has the bolo clasp that does not work. It did not work from the time I received it. I would have returned it but they were sold out at QVC, so I kept the necklace anyway and have hoped to find a way to fix it.

Thank you for any suggestions you have.

          1. anne

The necklace you are referring to has NOT SOLD OUT so can be returned.

          2. Louis Dell'Olio

You can return it for another or, yes I can have it fixed. Let me know what you want to do?

          3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear G, I have all of the information about having your necklace fixed. You will have to enclose a check for $8.50 for shipping and handling made out to Milor Group. Please enclose your name, address, telephone # and e-mail address. Also state what is wrong with the piece.
            Mail necklace to:

It may take 4 weeks….Let me know what you decide. It’s good to know the Italian company will stand behind their product.

            1. G

              Dear Louis,
Thank you so much! I will send it back for repairs!
I appreciate your time in finding out what I could do to have the necklace repaired, and I also appreciate that the Italian company will do the repairs so reasonably.

            2. G

              Hello Louis,

I hope you can help me find out what has happened to my “You Are the Star of Your Own Life” pave star pendant necklace with chain which was defective and which I sent for repairs to Total Fulfillment, LLC on December 15, 2021. I have not received the necklace back and no one from Total Fulfillment, LLC or Milor Group has communicated with me.

When I originally wrote you about this, you wrote back saying that the company that was manufacturing your sterling jewelry would stand behind the quality of your jewelry and would make the repair. You provided instructions of what I should do, and I followed those instructions.

On December 15, 2021 I mailed the defective pendant necklace with chain to Total Fulfillment Services, LLC, along with a letter explaining what the defect was (the bolo clasp did not work) and the requested repair; and I also sent a check made out to Milor Group for the requested shipping and handling cost. I also provided my name, address, and cell phone #. The tracking # on my receipt shows my package was received by Total Fulfillment Services, LLC on December 21, 2021.

Having heard nothing and not having received my necklace back, I sent a certified letter to Total Fulfillment, LLC on February 23, 2022, asking about the status of my necklace repair. I have not received any response.

The Milor Group cashed my check.

It is going on almost 3 months.

Can you help me find out what is happening with the repair and when I might expect to receive it back?

I would greatly appreciate any inquires you can make.

              Thank you.

            3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear G….,this is very distressing news. I have already forwarded your message to Cathy and she will get right on it. As soon as I hear you will know what’s going on.

            4. G

              Dear Louis,
Thank you and Cathy so much for looking into this.

            5. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear G….I have been notified that today, April, 14, a brand new locket will be shipped directly to you from Italy. Let me know when you receive it!

            6. G

              Dear Louis,

Is there any information about my “You Are the Star of Your Own Life” pendant necklace I sent for repairs to Total Fulfillment Services LLC on December 15, 2021? I’ve had no word from Total Fulfillment or the Milor Group, and I haven’t received my necklace back.

It’s been over 3-1/2 months now. Has Cathy found anything out? Please let me know. Thank you.

            7. Louis Dell'Olio

I will look into this again….so sorry for the delay!

            8. Anonymous

              Dear Louis,

Thank you so much. This week I received a phone call saying my necklace was being repaired and yesterday I received a text message from Carol, your repair representative in Pennsylvania, letting me know my necklace had shipped yesterday! She has been wonderful! I am so grateful for the communication and am so looking forward to receiving the necklace!

Thank you for all your efforts.

              All best regards,

              G

            9. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear G, I can only apologize that this process took so long! I don’t know why this happened. I can only assume there was a break down in the communication between the offices here and Italy….it shouldn’t happen, but sometimes it does. I am happy all was made right, and your brand new necklace is on it’s way to you. Let me know when it arrives. Happy Holiday

            10. G

              Dear Louis,

I received the necklace today ! I may never take it off!
Thank you and your team for everything that was done to make this right!
              I really appreciate it!
              All best regards,

              G

The beautiful locket has been posted on QVC, Louis.

    Gorgeous!

My mistake………………..he’s 82! Still hard to believe!

  34. Danielle

    Dear Louis
I miss seeing you on qvc. I don’t even recognize them anymore lol all the greats are gone, I still see Dennis basso but I miss your fashions. Will you be designing in the future with Qvc again? If you tell me no I’m done with them !!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Danielle, I will not be doing any apparel with QVC, but I will be doing an extended Sterling Silver and Sterling with Gold plate. New things should be posted any day, with many new things coming.

  35. Donna from California

Good morning Louis! As I was dressing this morning I reached for one of my favorite/most used clothing items. A279520, the snap front cotton hoodie (and no hoodie version). I remember the first time I saw it, Jac was wearing a black top and leggings with the red version of this top. She looked perfect! (But when didn’t she) I immediately ordered the red version. I found that although it did not make me look like Jac, I reached for it often and proceeded to purchase every color that you manufactured. (And two in black.) This was an item I didn’t know I needed but wondered how I lived without. This is part of your genius – knowing what we need. The tops are perfect year round in California. They keep me comfortable in chilly supermarkets in summer and warm on dog walks in fall and it is the perfect cover-up for workouts. The pockets are essential for a tissue or doggie bag. The cotton is never too hot and the tops have accommodated the weight I gained during COVID. Just an all around perfect wardrobe essential for me. Thank you!

  36. Sarah

    hi Louis
I wanted to let you know how much I love the section’ you also might like’ on your posts. I find myself always clicking on those to refresh my memory and get new ideas. I love the variety of years for the three suggested posts.

  37. Bernadette

    Hi Louis,

I bought the green and blue lace pants and was wondering how you would style them for Christmas. I wasn’t able to purchase any of the matching tanks or cardigans.

    Hugs
    Bernadette

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Bernadette….I beautiful white or Ivory blouse or WK sweater will always work with some fabulous jewelry. Maybe belt the blouse with a gold or metallic belt and coordinating jewelry or stone jewelry.

      1. Bernadette

That’s what I was thinking!!! Thank you for the validation of being on the right track!!!

I’m so excited that you are doing jewelry!

Have a blessed day Louis. 🤗🤗🤗

    Dear Louis-
I read your blog the first thing every morning. My husband passed away in May (probably the last time I wrote). It’s been rough, very lonely, but your blog shakes me out of the doldrums somewhat. I loved hearing and seeing the Safari, your pages of days gone by and so much more. I don’t go out much, but I still wear Linea and the jewelry.
I hope you continue this blog. It’s important to so many of us for different reasons.
Your kindness, mixed with your incredible talent is impossible to find these days.
    Thanks for everything
    Judi

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judi….I am so sorry to hear about your husband. Before I was with Jac, living in NYC I knew a lot of people and went out all the time, but I was still lonely without having that someone in my life. Jac changed everything, and now I find I’m back where I started. In my heart I know in a way it was better that she went first, because I don’t think she could bare losing her Mom and me. It would have crushed and destroyed her. Even though we knew each other and were together for a long time…the time we spent together was not enough. Why she was taken so young is a question that will never be answered, and one I don’t ask anymore. I hope, with the holidays coming, you aren’t alone….even if it’s hard try to be with family or close friends that you are very comfortable with. When Jac passed on Dec 12th….after her service I went to my brothers and stayed until after the New Year. Sometimes I wanted to be by myself, but I know it was better that I wasn’t. Remember, I am here if you ever need to reach out……try to take care of yourself…..your husband would want you to.

  39. Debby

Would you consider designing a necklace in silver that would be like the 2 row large bead necklaces you had developed? I have it in grey and love it! Thanks , a client who misses your designs!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debby, in Sterling Silver I’m afraid that would be way too expensive for QVC.

      1. Debby

Just a thought, what a classic it would be!

      2. AJ Edmonds

        Hi Louis,

Since you are continuing your sterling silver line, would you consider offering cuff bracelets in XS ? Small bracelets are much too large for me, so I have had to miss out.
BTW as many of the other ladies have said, I don’t do Facebook either so I enjoy reading your blog often.
        Thanks!
        AJ

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear AJ…..I will mention it, but I don’t think the manufacturer will want to do a fourth size as they don’t make xs for any of their bracelets.

    Louis
This has never happened to me with my Linea clothing. I just attended a ladies luncheon. At my table there were two of us who had on “Jac’s Garden Printed Woven Blouse” with black background. I wore it under my Linea Red blazer with black slacks. The other person had it on under a black suit jacket with black pants. We both laughed! She and I both love the versatility of the blouse.

  41. Joanne C

I am looking forward to your silver and gold plated jewelry. Any updates?

On another front I am so glad I purchased so many of your Linea blazers. I wore your ivory blazer with pearl buttons with matching ivory pants with my own gold accessories to a Wedding Rehearsal dinner in Florida. What a spectacular outfit!!!!

  42. Donna from California

    Hi Louis,
I wore Linea and felt so spiffy at my high 60 year school reunion. I was sooo comfortable in A391008 the navy moss crepe cardigan and tank (have it in black as well.) The person in charge of the name tags ended up in the hospital the night before the reunion so it was like being in a room full of elderly strangers. Fortunately, I recognized a few people and some people that I didn’t recognize, remembered my face so it all worked out. The day of the reunion, we had 5 inches of rain in 24 hours. Going into the reunion, the rainfall was light (thank goodness) but we were soaked through when we left. Of course by that time my friend and I didn’t care. (and yes wine was one of the reasons for our lack of concern)
I too check your blog each morning but don’t often comment. I enjoy all the content. Your stories are always so interesting. Example… Oprah – who knew? You have met so many interesting people in your lifetime and I’m happy you have shared them with us. Actually, I guess we all meet fascinating people – it’s just that most the people I’ve met are not famous. I don’t do Facebook which makes this site important to me as well. As long as you write, I’ll continue to read.

  43. designista

LDO, please keep posting! I refuse to use Facebook. After I check the National Hurricane Center in the morning for updates, you are my second stop time allowing. If I miss a couple of mornings, I always go back to see what I have missed. I don’t post as often, even when I really want to get into the conversation, as I’m trying to keep a lower profile. I often check your past archives for items of clothing and jewelry, just to remember your styling and what I have hidden in the back of my closet. If your blog had the “thumbs up” images, which for me is a thumbs down, you’d probably see how many really check your posts everyday.
    Thank you for everything, Alyce

  44. Sylvia

Hi Louis! I also check your blog every day, but don’t comment much. And I wear Linea almost every day. I check QVC to see what’s still available. This morning, I bought some tights and the Grecian bracelet in chocolate, which has a “Black Friday” price.
My daughter is getting married in December. I got the Sequin top and pants in midnight blue to wear to the wedding. I already had them in black, but she doesn’t want me to wear black.
I have enjoyed all of your safari pictures! What a great trip!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sylvia, you will be absolutely stunning at your daughter’s wedding!

  45. Ceicei

Louis, I also check in every day. My husband has heard be talk about you for years and never believed you interacted with us so often. He was a graduate student in Zambia in the seventies. I talked him into reading your blog. He was enthralled and saw things that he had never experienced. He even noticed one of my comments to you and the reply. I am having a great time with all of your fall pieces. My favorite was the year with the red, caramel and black trench with all the column of color pieces. Also, all my leather jackets in many colors. Even though I miss not having a collection this year, your past ones are bringing me tremendous joy. I have quite an extensive assortment from over eleven years. Know you are missed, and I am still here.

  46. Marie

I check in here everyday too. I haven’t commented in awhile but have been enjoying your posts, including the Africa trip! I suspect a lot of people are checking here as I am. Please keep posting here. I have FB but don’t go there much.

  47. Linda in AZ

Hello Louis…I check your blog every morning for the retrospectives and the posts on how you styled the many Linea pieces that I have. Not a big Facebook user. So I hope your continue the blog. We are all still here!

  48. Elaine

    Hi Louis,
Love checking your posts here, it’s a happy start to my day.
You were on my mind today as I started the “annual closet switch”. I have so many pieces that I didn’t have an opportunity to wear last year so it was almost like getting some new Linea (if only).

Your post of your 1993 Collection reminded me that I would cut out photos from W Magazine and tact them my Dream board, your coat was one of them and I know I still have that photo!

Enjoy the Fall, best wishes, Elaine

  49. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Good morning Louis: Just wanted to tell you that a day does not go by without my wearing SOME if not ALL Linea. Yesterday for Church, for example, I wore your gorgeous plaid jacket which I have in both color ways. Yesterday I wore the pine green color combo jacket with a beautiful dress from Renee Goldstein – Attitudes – Item number:A383331 which I own in every color way. This particular dress is the perfect pair up with SO many of the wonderful jackets and blazers I own from Linea. The fuchsia leather jacket just to name one. I wore what she calls her color of “blackberry”. Linea tights and over-the-knee black faux suede boots and a beautiful pin. Today, though I am in jeans, it is getting too cold up here – 28 on Friday night – to wear just a tee shirt and am back full time in Linea whisper knit. Often I add in the fleece lined trouser socks from Linea (these are knee highs) or if I am in a dress it will be the fleece lined tights from Linea. Your whisper knit pieces are such work horses. I have all of the WK midis which are also back in full service now through May. Along the Canadian border in Maine it snows usually for the first time in either late September or in early October. We got a little reprieve this year time-wise regarding the snow – but lots of wind and temps too cool to be outside without one of my WK scarves. It is really remarkable – though of course I am sorely missing a new Linea Winter 2021/22 ensemble wardrobe. I have often thought it was a good thing you did not show us what you had planned for the 2021 Spring collection after QVC foolishly let you go, because I would have been MORE heartbroken than I already was. At least I will never know what might have been if year 21 at QVC had happened. Also, like many others, I followed all of your Safari posts with great interest. Hope you know that a lot of long-time Linea Stalwarts are still in the audience here!!! 🙂 And of course we are all still wearing beloved Linea creations! Can’t wait to wear my gorgeous lace skirts as the holiday approaches. And all of my Linea Blazers are in almost constant use, as are the zip front tunic jackets, leather jackets and trench coats as well. And SO much more!!!! Thank you again and again! 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy, I very happy to hear from you. It’s nice to know that the Linea Ladies are still looking at my posts. I was starting to wonder as I don’t get much feed back or posts anymore. Face Book seems to have taken over, and seems to be where the action is. As long as I keep hearing from ladies like you I will keep posting..

      1. Claudia

I always read the posts. Almost every day I wear a piece or two of Linea . Today it’s A37776 a lurex short sleeve mock neck and because its chilly outside A279526 the faux suede anorak. I lead a quiet life except for the cats and dogs so don’t often comment.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Claudia….just a quick hello would be great so we all know your with us!

      2. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Not a big fan or user of Facebook. Only to connect with the youngest grand children. The older grandkids have become bored with Facebook and moved on to other platforms. Have loved your retrospectives here Louis and currently all of the stories from your rich and fascinating career.

  50. Joanne C

    Louis
I am glad was smart enough to purchase all three colors – latte, blue and silver. I have a lot of postponed social engagements this fall. They are all so beautiful. Between those skirts and black sequin clothing and your Tuxedo. I will look good and slim everywhere. Thank you

    1. Anonymous

Hi Louis. Curious if you ever hear from Jennifer and how she is?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, I haven’t heard from her. Once in a while I see a post on facebook, but that’s it.

  51. Rosa Jaramillo

    Hi Louis,
I have always admired your clothes. Now I did not realized that QVC is no longer carrying your line and I would like to know if there is a chance for me to buy your whisper knit split collar sweater in black Small. I would have liked to wear this sweater with your blue/black lace long skirt to a wedding.
Please let me know where I could find this beautiful sweater.
It is a shame that QVC no longer carries your line of fashion clothes.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rosa, unfortunately there is no other place where you can purchase it unless one shows up on ebay?

    2. Anonymous

      Thank you Louis.

  52. Joanne C

    Louis
I wore to a wedding this past weekend your beautiful latte embroidered skirt with a Donna Karan velvet top and velvet obi belt. Wedding guests gushed at me all night about my gorgeous skirt. I am so glad I was smart enough to buy not only the latte but the vivid blue and the silver skirt as well. They are all so beautiful. Thank you Louis!

      1. Karen in WI

Joanne, your outfit sounds stunning! What did you wear for jewelry? didn’t even think of pairing velvet with this skirt, but how perfect for this time of year. Now I have a black velvet top on my shopping list, but I am at a loss as to where to shop!

        1. Joanne C

I wore a Ripka silver necklace with blue topaz and green tourmaline J365342 and some gorgeous Ripka blue topaz earrings. I wore the vivid blue skirt with a velvet turtleneck body suit. I also purchased a black velvet wrap belt to complete the outfit,

  53. Susan Bernstein

    Hi Louis,
I’m so upset that QVC isn’t carrying your clothes any more! Your designs were the best of anything they offer, and so sophisticated. I have recently lost over 100 lbs., and the long leather jacket with knit sleeves and sides is too big on me. Is there any way it can be made smaller? I wouldn’t even know who to trust to try and alter it. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated! I love the jacket and don’t want to donate it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan…..first, congratulations on the weight loss! 100 lbs is a lot which means you went down quite a few sizes. Altering leather pieces isn’t easy and you would have to find a tailor who knows what they are doing. I’m afraid the jacket would have to be taken apart and refit which would be very expensive. The best I can say is get an estimate from a tailor.

      1. Susan Bernstein

        Dear Louis,
Thanks for responding, and I just want to tell you how sick I am that QVC decided not to offer your clothing line any more. Everything they are showing is casual and quite frankly, not so nice. I’m New York born and bred and I like nice things. I have many of your designs, and I feel so proud to own such beautiful things! Two of my favorite purchases are the embroidered skirts in latte and silver. I intended to wear one of them to a wedding earlier this month, but I still need to lose a little more weight to feel comfortable. I purposely ordered a smaller size in both knowing that I was losing weight. I had hoped that you would be designing for me as I got down to my target weight. So sad that won’t be happening.
        xo,
        Susan

      2. Elaine

Hi Louis, just came back from that fabulous Dior exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.
Breathtaking, one day is just not enough. Enjoyed the designs from the 50’s through the 70’s.
One fabric was described as “double-faced silk scuba”, a dress designed by the current Dior designer, quite unusual.
        Regards, Elaine

  54. Christine H.

Dear Louis, when will you have more whisper knit turtlenecks with the trapeze hem? Really, really love them.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Christine, I can only guess you are not aware that I have stopped making apparel for QVC since last Dec. so it’s almost a year. You had better take good care of the ones you have because there aren’t any more coming. However I will continue my Sterling Silver business.

      1. Anonymous

I am very sorry to hear this. I was wondering why I haven’t seen you! Will miss your class designs and presentations. I did just buy one of your nice necklaces from QVC. Take care!

  55. Ginny

Hi Louis, when can we expect to see some new jewelry designs posted? Will they be available before the holidays? Thanks, Ginny

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Ginny, I am hoping to have a few pieces before the Holidays, but I have no schedule yet.

  56. Andrea Thomas

    Louis,
I have a lot of the Anne Klein clothing from when you and Donna Karen created all those fabulous items I have suits, a jumpsuit, dresses etc. Unfortunately I am no longer the size 6 or 8 that I was when I purchased them. Even the buttons on the suits were like pieces of jewelry!
Do you know where I can sell or donate these items all in perfect condition. It seems a total waste to leave them in clothing bags. I would wear them today if I could fit in them.

  57. Andrea

Louis, I am missing having new fall clothing creations from you. I think you were either prescient last fall or the design team at Ann Taylor copied your creations from last year for this year’s early fall collection. Ruffled blouses, blouson sleeves, wrap blouses, tiered ruffle skirts, faux suede a-line skirts, blouse with a neck bow that looks a lot like your cheetah blouse with the long scarf. Makes me miss your fall collection for 2021 that never was to be . . . If the Q had only waited a bit, everyone wants clothes with a little more panache and dressiness now, and I don’t see anything that isn’t casual on the Q anymore.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

WOW Andrea, what your describing sounds exactly like my last fall collection. I agree with you about the Q. Whenever I click past it and take a quick look at what they are selling it all looks the same. Inexpensive casual wear, and nothing special at all. They show the same styles over and over and over. Walmart and Target all have the same junk.

  58. Seka

FYI – some Good News – the Q listened to their Customers……and posted the message below…..perhaps their new CEO Mr. David Rawlinson just might make some positive changes.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Seka, maybe so. It was a bad decision in the first place, and I would question the judgement of the person or persons who made that decision.

Glad to be seeing your designs again!

Louis- Back in the design business- hooray!!!
I anxiously await your jewelry. Very happy that it will be available through QVC.
I have been replacing as much of my Linea wardrobe as possible through ebay and a local thrift store. Sad to see all my old clothes go, but I am down almost 100 pounds, so enjoying the replacements. Among them I scored your black Italian cashmere coat that you did for Syms- new and never worn with tags still attached.
Welcome back from your trip of a lifetime! Well deserved.

  61. Terri H

    Dear Louis:
Will your jewelry designs be sold direct from the jewelry manufacturer? I am assuming not through QVC!
Thank you for keeping us updated! This is such great news!
Sure have enjoyed your Africa tour, the pictures are wonderful!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Terri….it will still be sold through QVC. They still have the largest customer base of all the channels, and my customers are used to it. It’s less confusing. It will be shipped by the jewelry company not QVC

  62. Lauren

QVC has your anniversary earrings available in new arrivals, item J402078. Are these the same earrings your suppliers produced? Same quality? Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

YES Lauren,,,,exactly the same….the cat is out of the bag. I will post!

Seka, I didn’t know this, but I don’t know anything that goes on there anymore. This doesn’t surprise me! They seem to be pulling away from direct contact with the customers, and making it impossible for the customers to interface. The over the backyard fence concept is OVER! I guess they don’t see the need to offer these services to the customer. It will also save them $$$$$. No more monitoring or monitors! It’s become an on line store PERIOD! They don’t want to hear complaints or have negative posts written about them which seems to be the common thing.
