***************THE TRIPLE BAR NECKLACE***************

………………………………..THE TRIPLE BAR NECKLACE…….J325472……………is a MODERN necklace that continues my new approach to minimal jewelry……….This is a direction that I see becoming stronger and stronger…………..This is a piece that can work on all of your more casual pieces, and even though it is minimal, become a major statement of taste and sophistication. It will be avail in my four key metal colors……..SILVER……………….GOLD………………GUNMETAL……………CHOCOLATE……………This is the perfect piece to wear with your Whisper Knit sweaters…..your tunics and solid dresses. It is perfect to wear with your Linea Leisure clothing without looking over done….or over dressed…….. For me….this is a piece that says you are a modern woman…..a woman that marches to her own drum beat…….an individual………

………………………………………………….enjoy…………………………………..much Love………………………………..Louis

    Hi Louis,

Does this necklace come with a 3″ extender? If so or if not, what is the full length of this necklace from chain clasp to bottom of the longest ‘chime’?

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Chris it does have a 3 inch extender. With the full extender…to get an accurate measurement I have to measure at the middle of the extender to the bottom of the longest bar and that is approx. 17 1/2 inches. I measured this on my dorm so it’s more accurate. I measured from the center back neck to the bottom of the center bar. I know there are concerns from larger chested women about how this was going to lay on their chests. One of the women I work with on the jewelry line is well endowed and she tried it on and loved it. The reason it works well no matter what size chest you have is the HORIZONTAL bar that keeps everything in it’s proper place and not falling into the valley ….if you know what I mean….it does work well on everyone…..tall or short…less endowed or large. I hope this answers your question.

I am soooo excited about this necklace… WELL DONE Louis! I already have the perfect earrings (found on the Q – J320449). When does this triple bar beauty arrive? I don’t want to miss it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Crystal…I have no idea when it will be posted. I know it’s at the Q, but with items that are sold on line only I never know when they are processed, and posted. It’s always a surprise!

      1. Crystal

It was so kind of you to respond so quickly. Thank you Louis. I will be stalking this necklace daily online… especially after seeing how you styled it today on your shows. BTW, both shows were (as Jill would say) ENJOYABLE!

  3. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I normally am a gold girl but the chocolate looks so dramatic!

    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Darian….the Chocolate looks beautiful in the triple bar, but then again they really all do.

Like many others, I started with this type of jewelry: Bill Steig had a brother, a former dentist, who did simple, beautifully designed sterling in the ’60’s and ’70’s. Every summer I saved my pennies and bought a piece when I was on Cape Cod. Then Robert Lee Morris: a piece once a year. Then he came to QVC and had TSV’s.
He’s on now and is doing bronze, to stay affordable. I bought all your ethnic pieces and one statement necklace (I’m too small boned for most.)If I want to make a statement it’s in earrings.

Simple lines never go out of style. I have gold plated and silver RLM earrings to wear with your new necklace.

  5. Lyn

Louis, can you tell me if this is a heavy necklace. Unfortunately, I can’t wear heavy necklaces. I love you logo necklace, and I wear that frequently, as well as the single fish necklace. I also wear your black crystal and clear crystal long bead and chain necklaces. I like the look of this new necklace, to wear with my Whisper Knits.

    1. Lyn

Sorry, I meant I love your logo necklace…, although I do love you also!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lyn….if you can wear those necklaces you can easily wear the triple bar. It isn’t heavy at all.

  6. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

    Hi Louis –
Thanks for another beautiful sneak peek. It’s great that you are offering this in 4 colors! Can you speak to the length and its adjustability? Can you comment on whether you think this is more for less endowed crowd?

    Thanks – Susan

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan…..from the HPS [high point shoulder where the neck and shoulder meet] it is approx 10 1/2 inches at it’s shortest and 11 1/2 at it’s longest. One of the women who works with me on developing the jewelry is full busted and she tried it on. She loved it and it looked good on her.

  7. Yvette

With all due apologies to Goldie (honest injun, Goldie!) I am thrilled to see something that is not a statement necklace. As a petite woman who is not just short, but small-boned, truly petite all over, those statement necklaces wear me instead of the other way around. I have found a way to make some of them work for me, but many are beyond adapting to my needs. So Louis, you have made me a happy woman with this piece. I have been particularly watching for a chocolate Linea necklace to go with my chocolate demi hoops and here it is! Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t need another color or two, ha ha. Dear Louis, I am always amazed by the way you manage to meet the needs of such a disparate group of ladies. Don’t ever stop!

    1. Goldie76

Yvette, I love this discussion. Please understand that I, myself, cannot wear all of Louis’s mighty pieces. However, I thought he was totally abandoning those with a lot of presence, but he is not. There will be salad sometimes instead of his steak dinners every now and again, as he indicated.

Love that we are discussing this. We give Louis an idea of how new jewelry directions will be received. Plus, we get a peek into the desires of other Linea Ladies. All good stuff…

      1. Yvette

And isn’t it unbelievable that we get to have these discussions WITH the designer!
( I know that I sound like a broken record, but you are missed on the QVC Linea forum, Goldie.)

        1. Goldie76

The truth is, Yvette, I fully agree with Louis’s statement of “Iā€™m personally so tired of all of those bling stone necklaces.” (I overlooked zeroing in on that.)

So am I tired of those. But I don’t think he ever did one of those, did he? Any movement that takes us away from those dreadful things is a boon in my book.

    Louis-
I love it! As much as I treasure the palm fronds, the school of fishes, waterfalls, etc., this is a casual everyday look. I’ll get lots of wear out of this and the lariat. I like the simplicity, the geometric look. So much better than the single horizontal bar that is seen all over. And I agree, the “statement” necklaces have been overdone. Geez, some are SO gaudy!
    Thanks for the different styles.

  9. Louis Dell'Olio

I understand you totally. I felt the time was right for a new expression…..I’m personally so tired of all of those bling stone necklaces. That is not the news or the direction of what’s happening for me. That’s not to say it isn’t still around, but I feel that party is over.

    1. Goldie76

Do I break out singing “The Party’s Over” now? šŸ™‚ I can be such a die-hard, but I fully agree with your new direction. A little of this and a little of that (but I’ll always be more of “this”). We have to adapt or we won’t survive.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sometimes we just need a breath of fresh air…………

          The Party’s Over – Styne/Comden/Green

The party’s over, it’s time to call it a day
They’ve burst your pretty balloon and taken the moon away
It’s time to wind up the masquerade
Just make your mind up the piper must be paid

The party’s over, the candles flicker and dim
You danced and dreamed through the night
It seemed to be right just being with him
Now you must wake up, all dreams must end
Take off your makeup, the party’s over
          It’s all over my friend

  10. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

Does this mean that you will never again produce a grand piece like those in the Palm Frond group, the Byzantine group or the Wind Chime? Say it isn’t so.

If Athleisure takes over the universe, I will protest sartorially to my bitter end. Dressier duds and statement jewelry pieces for me, most of the time. I understand the need for simpler jewelry, but I do not want to see the day that it dominates.

    1. Goldie76

Forgot to add that this piece is attractive, but I don’t want all your jewelry to have simple lines from this time forward.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie….have no fear…..you can’t eat steak or pizza every day…..nor can you eat salad every day…..there will always be a ying to a yang……right now it’s time for a little ying.

This necklace absolutely moved me! It’s like talking a forgotten language, if that makes any sense?
