    LOUIS,
Thank you for the insight into what you choose and what Jac wears to show off your fashions. I, like a lot of other Linea addicts look to what she wears and usually I order that! Bought 3 jackets, 3 matching/coordinating tops, 3 pants and the day before got my delivery of the 3 WK tie sweaters that I had been waiting for reorder. My little grandaughters (3 and 2) loved the pink. They know who you are from TV and can’t wait to see Nana’s new Louis items. I have some delivered to their house to open as they look for your picture in the mailouts in the jewelry boxes.
I would like to know about the wrist fit in you new watch. Wish The Q would actually show the jewelry on models on their website not just drawing.
I can’t thank you enough for your beautiful clothes {only buy Linea Now) and I agree with the other ladies that the sneak peeks have become essential to me. I can’t stress enough how much I value you advise and you for your great talent in making us all look great!!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will take pictures of all the watches on Jac’s wrist and post them.

    2. Lonlira

      SUPER!!!!!

  2. Jean

Louis, thank you for all the interesting details on your BIG TSV day. I watched the 2 one-hour shows and enjoyed every minute. I did put a major dent in my credit card (company sent email questioning such a large purchase), but I didn’t get everything I wanted. So speaking for myself, I’m kind of hoping that the three things I have in my Wish List are still available in February. So many lovely items this time.

Your prep hours are really evident in making your shows an event. BTW, my favorite styling was Jac in the Sea Green belted Kate shirt and Sea Green skirt with the Ivory TSV. I always watch to see what Jac is wearing and quite often it’s my favorite styling combo. Does Jac get to pick her own outfits for the shows?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jean……yes……and ….no. I pick what everyone is to wear and then I show Jac what I have selected for her so she can gather her shoes, and if she needs to bring her jeans. I ask her if she would rather wear something else, but 9 times out of 10 she likes what I pick for her. After all this time I know what she likes. However, sometimes she surprises me…….and wants to wear something I would have never picked for her. In real life she is a black and white girl and rarely wears color. After working as a model for so many years in Europe and American, and after years of putting on and taking off clothes, I find most models dress very simply. When designers see you a certain way and always dress you in that mood…..as a model you sometimes long to dress in something totally different likie a big fluffy ballgown…. even if it isn’t really your look. Jac was lucky, she could wear anything. Most of the time she was thought of as the cool, haughty beauty a la Grace Kelly, or the Harlow or Lombard type. That’s why she did so much couture in Europe. The all American type doesn’t work for Couture.

  3. Betsy

I received my TSV jacket last night which I had pre-ordered in the black, and I love it. Since I wear suits, I ordered the whisper knit sweater and the skirt as well. Since it was before 1/7, I did it based on fabric content, and ordered the pencil skirt (A230026), and while the fabric content is identical, it doesn’t seem to match. The skirt is great, and I will keep it for other things, but will the other skirts (A231138) be reordered? I would love to order the jacket in navy as well, but I would need the skirt. Hope they will come in. Keep up the exceptional work. I always feel good in your clothes. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Betsy….it is too early to know if any thing will be reordered and there is no guarantee that it will match as there are usually many dye lots. A dye vat can only dye a certain amount of fabric at a time and then the dying process has to start all over. From one “dye lot” [that’s what they call at single vat of fabric] to another there can always be a slight difference. It doesn’t matter how expensive or what the fabric is……it’s the same situation for all. The more fabric ordered the more “dye lots” there are.

  4. Donna

Louis, Can you please, please(pretty please!) give us a sneak peak or at least provide some additional details on the new jacquard dress with the asymmetrical neckline. It is available to order and I was hoping it would be presented but… Thank you for everything that you do!!

  5. nikki

Can I put in a request. The perfect sweater/cardigan for the dancers skirt and bodysuit. I have a few cardigans in my closet but would something that you create to specifically go with this outfit in the colors( black/ruby and truffle). Ofcourse I realize it will be for next winter, but i can wait.

  6. Joyce Adams

Louis, thank you for the recap of your “day” at QVC. I couldnt wait for January 7th and was not disappointed. Like Mary Beth Roe, I bought 4 jackets (since I have the navy and black denim from last year, or I would have bought 6) and the matching sweaters. I was online at midnight. Unfortunately skirts and dresses don’t fit into my lifestyle so I pair everything with different types of pants. That being said, I have most of your jewelry pieces and continue to add to the collection. You are one of a kind, and this blog where you share “behind the scenes” and give us suggestions on how to wear the pieces just make you more endearing. I can’t wait for the Spring collection!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joyce, thanks so much for the kind words…..Life is tough enough, so if I can make things a little simpler and easier, i know I’ve done a good thing…..it also makes me feel good to know I have been some help.

  7. Gail

The body suit and skirt in truffle! For some crazy reason QVC sent them UPS and they arrived this morning, two days after I ordered them. I was leaving the house, but had to try them first. Perfect! I am so happy with the design, color, fabric and fit that at the end of the day I just had to use someone else’s computer to order both in ruby. They will blend right in with quite a few of your other pieces that I have. And this outfit will encourage me to keep in shape. For all of this, I salute you.

  8. nikki

Louis, I just rec’d the dancers skirt and bodysuit. The fabric and drape is wonderful. Ofcourse I don’t have the model’s body but I think with sweaters and jackets it looks wonderful. I am tempted to order the other colors. I will post my reviews. Thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Wow that was fast! I could not be happier that you like it as they are favorites of mine!

      1. nikki

Louis, will there be more things coming in this fabric. It is really very nice and I don’t think you have used it before. Hope you use it more

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Nikki,
there are quite a few things now avail in this fabric. You probably didn’t realize it’s all the same fabric: A230032, A231143, A230030, A229476, A229474 and A218574 are all in the rayon/span fabric.

  9. njlady

Louis – I need your help.
I am so upset. I ordered the TSV in Black medium- when the doorbell rang – I couldn’t wait to open it up,
WOW early & then I found a black skirt inside. My heart sank.
They are sold out in Black & I don’t want the other colors. I am so sad.
Waiting for a supervisor to call – but they haven’t yet.
People are writing how beautiful the jacket is & I don’t know what to do
    Any help???????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Oh no…….the production goes direct from the factory straight to the QVC warehouses. There isn’t any possibility of me acquiring one. I know my manufacturer doesn’t have anything except the fitting samples of sm and 1x and those she keeps,as,reference. I am so sorry there is nothing I can do.

    2. njlady

      thanks
I called cust. service several times & so upset & FINALLY they said they found a jacket & are sending out
      When i get it – i’ll believe it & let u know
      fingers crossed

  10. Charles Pridemore

Louis, My Italian cashmere overcoat has worn out (Elements of Style Collecton) Overstock.com is out. Where I can I find a new one? Retail or on-line or direct from you. Please reply. Father Charles Pridemore

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear father Charles, unfortunately, when Mr Sy Syms passed away, my associated with the store ended, and now they are all closed. I know longer design men’s apparel and would know wear one could be found. Sorry to disappoint .

      1. Charles Pridemore

Dear Louis, Thank you for replying. I will pray overstock.com ends up with one. It did last at least 10 years. It is a wonderful coat. Blessings, Fr. Charles

        1. Carol

I bought a beautiful cashmere jacket for my son on ebay. I see them come up on a pretty regular basis.

Life is grand with a heated snifter of courvoisier in hand while viewing a Linea TSV designed in a seismic explosion of color! You, in your striking pink tie, Leah wearing the Coral TSV & then you show the Angel Skin Kimono – I went crazy with excitement. Just love it when you make reference to gemstones for they provide much inspiration in my own creative life. Outstanding presentation, Louis! You are a learned engineer of design who displays great foresight while keeping a keen eye on your backsight while calculating a successful outcome – You would make an excellent Land Surveyor! Look forward to wearing my spiny oyster, corals & turq with my new blazers – Know I’m gonna love the cut! Please post when you have confirmation of your Feb. dates!

BTW, my tailor considers you “A man of Genius” for the placement of your seams.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I believe my next show is Feb 7th at 2pm and 6pm…..yes two….one hour shows, but they are not confirmed yet. The date I think is pretty secure . Please thank your tailor for the compliment…….and your necklace sounds too beautiful!!

      1. Pamela in Anchorage

Thank you, Louis. I will entice our housesitter with the promise of a fabulous souvenir to monitor any possible scheduling changes & record your upcoming shows! If all goes according to plan on Feb.7th, we made a successful ascension on the side of a volcano to enjoy secluded natural hot sprngs! Needless to say, Incommunicato – we’ve been told cell phones hardly function in Costa Rica. Hope there will be fiesta WK’s available for order upon my return. This blue-eyed Blonde loves Tangerine!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

When do you get home from what sounds to be one fantastic vacation!

          1. Pamela in Anchorage

Feb.20th – Dedication to many things eventually pays in positive rewards. The planets were aligned with ALL the right stars. Me & my Mr. Handsome are very long over-due! We are both driven & do smell the ‘Rose’, yet these long winters in AK drives ANY normal, sensitive human being towards the Sun! Hope to receive the tunics SOON as I continue my plan of attack with my carry-on’s!

  12. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Will you be having any dresses, jackets, or pants in your cotton (97%)/spandex (3%) mix coming for this spring or summer? I love that fabric! It breathes and has a nice light sheen to it. I would love a sundress in a tropical print in that fabric. Any thing like that in the future?

    Thanks for all you do.

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There are no dresses coming in that fabric for spring/summer. I did present some but they were not selected. It’s not that they didn’t like them, but when there are over 200 sketches and they can only select 40, it makes for many hard decisions…..but the good news is….there is always next year.

  13. Waterbaby

    Hello, Louis:
Congratulations on such a successful TSV! I purchased so many of your items that I pray the UPS man doesn’t get injured carrying all the packages to my door! Your sneak peeks were so helpful in deciding what I would get and how it would work with what I have. Your pictures are wonderful as are your descriptions and background information. I hope you and Jac had a safe trip home and get some sleep after a long day. When you come up for air, please let us know when you will be back, I miss you already.
    Many blessings, Fran in GA

PS: will you be bringing back your long strands of dark green and pink pearls? And, the Chili Pepper Pebble Crepe top?

  14. Sheesh

Bravo to you, Louis, for a great TSV! As you know, I am in Johannesburg, South Africa, on a business trip, but I managed to watch the midnight show on QVCLive on my laptop in my hotel (7 AM here). I ordered 15 pieces (took your advice on ordering doubles in the Black and Ivory pants), a Black, Sea Glass and Iris skirt, and 5, yes 5, TSVs in Ivory, Black, Coral, Sea Grass and Iris, and the sweater in Black, Coral and Sea Glass. While I was busy putting this all in my cart the Iris Sweater and the Coral and Ivory skirts sold out. So I have bookmarked the items on my Toolbar and I check periodically during the day (while I’m negotiating an over $500M contract) to see if any of those three items has popped back into inventory. Hey, a Linea Girl has got to do what a Linea Girl has got to do!.. I recently went down about two sizes so I am replenishing my wardrobe with these wonderful new basic pieces. What never ceases to amaze me, Louis, is that for the price I paid for 15 Linea items, I would have gotten “maybe” three pieces in the past. Now for me, it’s Linea or nothing! Thank you, Louis, from the bottom of my heart, for all the beautiful clothes you design for us. Love to you and Jac.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheesh…..you never cease to amaze me! What designer could ask for more than to have someone like you!!!I appreciate your trust and dedication to me and what I design……it is very much appreciated and I hope I can always make you happy in my clothing…….TWO SIZES……WOW, that is terrific.

  15. Carol

    Dear Louis,

I made a pig of myself on the TSV and companion pieces. I expect to have these as the skeleton of my travel wardrobe for years to come! We just sent our son off to college this year and DH is a couple of years away from retirement, so we’re adding a lot of travel to our schedule.

I would have loved to have seen a princess seamed shift dress in the ponte suite to finish it off. There isn’t one coming in February/March is there?

I also ordered all the jewelry. I cannot get enough of that, either. It’s great for travel because it’s so affordable. While I’d hate to lose any of it, I wouldn’t be devastated if I did.

Given that your TSV landed immediately after Christmas, I think TPTB have to be thrilled with the results. If it had come in March, I guarantee you would have had a sellout. (More pants would have helped, too)

    Hi,
Can’t wait to get the blazer TSV. I was nervous that their was a problem & thats why you didn’t stay for PM style. Read your
response & glad that you were aware & your shows did so well. You are a super talented designer who I have come to respect.
    Thanks for your wonderful work.

  17. Donna

Louis, will the iris sweater work with the purple/black houndstooth or are the colors to different?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Totally different colors….the iris is bluer and the violet is redder.

  18. Chris/Jazzmom

Awaiting delivery of the TSV jacket today. Have one question: would you say the iris jacket/skirt matches the hydrangea butter yellow pattern that you had from several years ago? I’m talking about the purples in the design?

Thanks for a wonderful TSV. Glad it was a success.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Alright!! Another styling option!! Thank you!

        Regards,
        Chris

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

The coral is wonderful!! I am glad that the larger of the two sweaters fit me!! I have on order awaiting shipment the sea green and navy sweaters in Medium. The coral TSV jacket in Medium is arriving tomorrow. Thanks so much for these great colors!! I’ve got another competitor’s short sleeved blouses(Westkit style)(Alfred Dunner) floral print in this coral color which will go with the ensemble too that has been in my closet right after I lost weight. Love to change it up rather than be in solids.

  19. LC

    Hi, Mr. Dell’Olio!

I am conducting research for an upcoming exhibition at a US art museum. Could I e-mail you to discuss this project further?

    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear LC….I would need a little more information before I give my e-mail address.

      1. LC

Would you be willing to e-mail me? My e-mail address should be visible to you through the comment portion of your website.

Thank you again and kind regards,
        LC

  20. Sharon

Louis, I have to ask because there is a big debate going on. Who made the decision to only have so few appearance with your TSV and other items. The women who had to work were very disappointed that they didn’t get to see alive presentation on your new items. I must confess is was a crazy day staying up all night to make sure I didn’t miss your appearance. I so hope that pink jacket will be longer in length for us ladies who carry the weight in bottom. I have been begging for pastels. I wore my New topaz turtleneck the other and I notice that color made my face light . That picture of the fish necklace looks like real bone or real fish bones, I think my mother or I had one of those. The Anne Klein web site has been putting old pictures , I found one for NewYears and shared it on Jacs Facebook page but it disappeared, just wanted to wish you a good New Year after all that Sandy did to you and your house..

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon, the schedule was set week in advanced by the planners…..this is not a decision of the buyers. I knew going in that my day was done at 2pm. I was willing to stay for the PM Style show if necessary, but I was told the 2pm with Mary Beth would be the final presentation as planned. I really don’t know the reasoning for this…..I can only guess they has many clearance OTOs planned to get through, and they only have OTOs after the final selling of the TSV, but that is only my guess and I don’t really know if that is true. I was just sorry not to have a live presentation for all the women who I know were at work or couldn’t stay up for the midnight show. It wasn’t a sell out, but they did very well with the TSV ans ALL the companion pieces.

      1. Debbie Macy

As long as TPTB are happy and we get more, more more!!!!

      2. Sharon

Thank-you Louis for answering that question so we can put it to rest. I think you know how faithful your Linea Ladies are and how excited we get for your shows.I’ll have you know that there was a lady in SOUTH AFRICA on business with the computer ordering your clothes and then went to bed to awake and watch your morning and put her face on before a meeting. The only thing was she won’t be back in the states until February to see her purchases. Now if that isn’t loyalty I don’t know what is. Just know your ladies are on your side and we will stay up all night for you. The problem with what you have to deal with is your ladies are all shapes and sizes and all ages, many of we ladies cant buy the jackets but you notice your pants, skirts and sweaters blew out the door.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sharon, believe me when I say I am thankful for each and every one of you. The battles we face…..we face together!

  21. Kate

    When is your next show?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The next show will be Feb. 7th. I think I may have two shows….one at 2pm and one at 6pm, but that is NOT CONFIRMED!!!!I may also be on PM Style on Jan 28th, but that is NOT CONFIRMED either. When the dates and times are set I will let everyone know. The Feb. date I don’t think will change, but the times may.

  22. Shari

    Hi Louis!
Great show ! I got the ivory TSV with the pant in ivory along with the skirt. I thought this would be the perfect ensemble for Spring.
I also purchased the white shirt and the aqua poet shirt.(I’m gearing up for Spring)
Guess what I did !! About a month ago I purchased 4 of your bow sweaters all in the ivory and I dyed them in pastel colors. One in lilac, one in pale lime, one in yellow and the last one in aqua. I am VERY pleased how they came out.
I only did this comfortably because I am a seamstess and I often dye things to the color I want. I do not recommend this except if you KNOW what you’re doing (ladies).
I MUST have the fish bones necklace and earrings and bracelet. Any clues as to when it is coming?? I did get the wave bib necklace and earrings in both colors.
I am excited to hear that you have colors like lime coming in the days to come !!
Thankyou Louis, your designs are wicked great !!
    Shari
    Shari

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari…..that sounds fabulous….custom colors. you are very lucky the sweaters dyed evenly. If you can, post a picture. I’d love to see them! The FISH group is scheduled for March selling.I know you are going to LOVE the wave group. The metal looks like the Byzantine cross……..the Quality is beautiful. It really fills in a neckline nicely.

      1. Shari

I would love to post a picture of the sweaters~~one problem ~~I’m not techy at all. I’ll see if I can do it.
Thankyou for the info on the “Fish” group. Sorry to hear I have to wait til’ March !! Although it WILL be worth the wait I’m sure!
        Shari

  23. Judy Ann

Congratulations on your beautiful TSV jacket. Thank you for all the fashion tips you share and for your generous and kind nature.

    Judy Ann

  24. Judi

Congratulations on a job well done!!! The TSV is gorgeous, I had to get 2 colors plus several of your other offerings (including the new watch). Your enthusiasm was infectious, it seemed everyone was in a great mood. You demonstrate such patience in your explinations of the creating process.
BTW, I was thinking about the floral prairie skirts. The blazers will be perfect at the height of summer with a/c in restaurants, stores, etc.
I was wondering, what do you think of an upscale type of hoodie is the fabulous whisper knit. I would LOVE it!
You and Jac deserve a good, long rest.
    Take care 🙂
    Judi

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have a few hoodie samples in work from ponte to my silk and cashmere knit……We will see what the buyers think?????

      1. Judi

That would be a dream come true!
Thank you for responding so quickly.

      2. Susana aka Suzzeee

        Ooooo. I would love a silk/cashmere ine!

      3. upallnight1/Deborah

Thank you, that’s wonderful news. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  25. Sandra Y.

Hi Louis and Happy New Year!

Love your TSV on the Q today and bought the Iris and will probably get the Coral jacket too! They are just adorable and can hardly wait to get them.

Also wanted to mention that every now and then you wear a beautiful PINK tie (you had it on last night) and would absolutely LOVE to have a jacket/blazer in that color. Is there any chance that you will have anything like this for Spring? I have three different blazers of yours; one of which (A213215) did come in a pale pink (it was beautiful), but unfortunately I missed out on getting it. Then there is item A78354, which I bought in yellow (BEAUTIFUL) and a pink jacket in this style would be beautiful! Please, please, please bring back a pretty pink jacket SOON!!! It’s the only color I don’t have.

    Thank you SO MUCH!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sandra, in May, I will have a beautiful pale pink jacket with black trims, a la Chanel It’s in the most beautiful NEW faux linen fabric. I am truly NUTS for this fabric. It has a slightly thicker yarn so the weave is more evident, and due to the weight, noting needs to be lined……it’s tailored and languid at the same time. The pants in this fabric are incredible……..I imagine Havana in the 30s and 40’s.

      1. TourEiffel

Sounds terrific! Can’t wait. I’ve been wanting a white linen suit for summer. Will it come in white?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

No not white….it will also be in a color I call “Bamboo” A pale bamboo color with black, and the jacket will have REAL pearl buttons….the same that are on the georgette safari shirt.

          1. TourEiffel

New suit sounds fabulous! I adore my white pebble crepe suit, which is perfect for summer travel. But I have to admit — I love white linen in the summer!

      2. Donna

        Louis, this sounds fabulous!

      3. blinddogs

OHHH the bamboo Chanel jacket and pants will certainly find a home in my closet! Your genius is very dangerous to my credit cards!

I ordered the TSV in ivory, black and sea green (big surprise on the green, LOL) and the pants in ivory and black, the skirt and WK sweater in sea green, and an ivory skirt for good measure. And the bodysuits in black and truffle went into my cart, too. Did I order much??? I had already ordered and received the chili pepper pebble crepe top– which is one of my all time favorites in your line, and which I have in all colors.

Thanks so much for all you do for us. But your clothes should carry a warning label: WARNING wearing Linea is addictive and may be hazardous to your financial health! LOL– blinddogs

      4. Sandra Y.

Oh WOW; can hardly wait to see and order it. Thank YOU!!! Sure wish you knew the order number, but I’ll try to be patient and wait….very difficult though since I’ve been waiting for a pink blazer/jacket for a couple of years now. 🙂

Is there any chance you could make something in the color of your pink tie too? I just LOVE that tie and would really like a shirt, tee, jacket or something in a top in that color…PLEASE???

Also want to say how much I enjoy your shows and looking at all your pretty new clothes. Very NICE!!!

  26. Joan

I got the truffle bodysuit and wrap skirt. LOVE the color. thanks for these chic clothes.

  27. Seka

    Louis,
Fabulous shows because of your Fabulous clothes! Loved the TSV – and the companion items – thankfully ordered mine as soon as they were posted – the WK sweater & ponte pants were never presented & sold out!

I am the Canadian who thought I had placed my final Linea order at the end of December – until I met Loren on your Blog – and have made arrangements to use her ship to address. Was able to get several items thanks to Loren”s generosity.

Congratulations to you & Jac. Look forward to more Linea!

    Seka.

  28. Kate

Congratulations on a smashing success today. No one deserves it more than you and Jac! I just have to be a good girl and wait for Mr. UPS!

  29. tuni

Bravo! Another great line up of clothes that will make any woman look fabulous! You have a magical touch with design, great quality, and amazing attention to all the Linea Ladies. The advice you give on pairings and accessorizing is worth as much to me as the actual clothes themselves. Thank you!

  30. Ann/snickster

Louis, wonderful job on TSV and coordinating pieces. Awesome. Really enjoyed the shows. Thank you. Have a safe trip home and get some rest.

  31. upallnight1/Deborah

    Dear Louis,

Thank you for another fabulous day of shows and presentations. You are a genius. I don’t know how you can bring us these designs at such an affordable price.

Will last year’s denim jackets be coming back this spring? I’m already anticipating ordering the upcoming yellow pencil skirt. Yellow is one of my favorite colors.

I hope you and Jac have a fast, safe trip home!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, it has not been reordered, however I am doing another style in the denim. I call,it my “couture jean jacket”. It’s coming in Apriil.

      1. upallnight1/Deborah

Thank you! I actually do not own a jean jacket! I appreciate the tips ahead of time. It’s so nice to have something to look forward to, and I know not to shop for a jeans jacket before April. The ski resorts are open until mid-April, and I won’t need one until after that, so the timing of the jacket is perfect for me.

  32. Cathy in PA

    Louis and Jac,

CONGRATULATIONS on a wonderful Today’s Special Value Jacket and companion pieces. The show was terrific, lots of fun, and sounds like very successful as well; what a great way to break a 5 year drought!

    THANK YOU BOTH,

    Cathy in PA

  33. Connie Sullivan

    Hello,

I am truly saddened shipping to Canada is no longer accepted by QVC,
I have truly enjoyed your fabulous fashions now for over ten years.
Where else can I purchase your wonderful timeless and classic fashions.

    Sincerely, Connie Sullivan
One of your most loyal fans.

    1. Loren

      Hi Connie,
Did you see the show? So many things to order. I have offered in the past to be a go between for the Canadian shoppers. You drop ship from QVC to me and I forward on to you. Here is my direct email. lorencastleman@yahoo.com. There are a few ladies out there from Canada that are going to give it a try. I am not charging for this service. I want to see more Linea clothes and jewelry so we need to have as many sales for Mr Dell’Olio as possible.
      Happy shopping!
      Loren

    2. Seka

      Hello Connie,
I too am a Canadian – and have made an arrangement with an incredible Linea Lady – Loren – to use her ship to address. She posted her e mail on Louis’s Blog for anyone who would like to continue to purchase.

Am so excited – purchased 12 items tonight.

      Seka.

Hi, I love your sweaters, blouses. However, I am only 5’2″ tall and cannot buy any of your skirts. Why are they so long? Can you make petite? Most of them cannot be hemmed. Thanks.

    1. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Amy, start hounding QVC to order petites and round up more petite Linea Ladies in your quest. Q dictates the orders to Louis, so make your presence heard on the Forums.:)

  35. Parisa

    Hi Louis.

Forgive me if this has already been asked. Could you describe the difference between the Red, Ruby & Chili Pepper? Could they all be worn together?

    Thanks in advance.
    Parisa

  36. Becky

Anyone know how to order the ponte knit pant A231139 before the show? Have to have them to make suits with the TSV 🙂

  37. Sonia

Louis, I’m so looking forward to the shows. Missed you at your last couple mini appearances. Good Luck and may your eyes stay open 😉

I have a request for the future: I love the longer length short sleeve on the scoop neck WK sweater, but the waist whittling style does not work on us DDD girls. It creates a great deal of emphasis on the bust, making it look like there is a serving platter up there waiting for you to place your spent Kir Royale glass. So sad I can’t order this sweater: please bring a similar sweater without the long ribbed bottom. I’d love the ribbed bottom if the sweater were longer and the ribbing were from the waist on down. Oh, and the open boatnecks don’t work for those of us who have to wear wide (1.75″) bra straps.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your designs, and especially for the EXTRA work you do communicating with your fans. Happy 2013 to you, Jac, and your girls!

  38. Judy

Hi, Louis! I’m psyched for the TSV and other new items tonight, and I’ve already ordered multiples (!) of the Kate shirt and the PC tunic in a smaller 🙂 size. No hurry on this answer, but do you have any twin sets in WK or any other knit in the works? Hope you have a fantastic day at Q!!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes the new WK spring program will ahve cardigans and kimono sweaters matching all the other styles

  39. Kate

LDO–would the navy pearls be tonal and cool over the navy tsv companion sweater or would the pink be better? I want to buy both as a gift for someone to be shipped direct, and could use some advice.

    1. Kate

Also, while I have your attention on this very busy day, will you be offering more pearls in the near future?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

My dearest Kate…….yes, yes,yes…..the navy pearls are a perfect match to the new navy WK and ponte pieces….who knew???yes, yes, yes there are new pearls for next fall and hopefully a matching earring too. Maybe in all the Linea colors….we’ll have to wait and see what the buyers do.

        1. Kate

I think your pearls are second to none (and I own several sets of vintage Chanel pearls, so I know of what I speak). As there was only one set left in each color, I ordered both navy and pink to send with the navy and the ivory sweaters. Your things make the best gifts because I look like a big spender but only we know the truth! I sent your crystal watch and cashmere/silk t-neck as a Christmas gift to my sister (a fashionista of Nan Kempner proportion) and she was blown away. Sigh, LDO. My hero.

  40. Debbie

Hi Louis, I saw the sneak peek of the fish pendant, I was hoping for the fish necklace. Is there a chance for the necklace, or was it cost prohibitive?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It was very expensive!!! so I was happy to get the pendant……if the
SCHOOL OF FISH” are REALLY successful….I will bring the necklace back to a meeting……The original “School Of Fish” belt was fantastic…..I still have one.

      1. Pamela in Anchorage

And the belt too? I’m out of the loop here – do you have a picture? I need a FISH fix to go with my carved ivory collection! Please keep us posted on this one, Louis. TIA

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I do have a picture of the belt somewhere. It came in the two sizes of fish. Just picture the fish cycling around your hips one after the other with no spaces in between….they were lots of fun…..but it will not be avail. for QVC.

          1. Pamela in Anchorage

Darn, sounds highly unique & very original. As a long time jewelry maker, perhaps I’ll create my own? I LOVE fish jewelry. I have a jewel pic I’d like to share – would it be o.k. to post here?

Have a great show, despite pending exhaustion.

  41. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

An OFF TSV Topic question: I’m looking forward to a late June wedding here in PA … my beloved nephew. Casual fun wedding, themed Bees and Chickens. Both the bride and groom are agriculture college grads and work in those fields, and yes, some of the wedding guest bees and chickens could well be alive LOL; we just hope the groom doesn’t invite his cows! PA weather could be cold OR HOT. I thought of wearing one of my lovely Lace Cardigans; I have the green and the soft coral (my favorite), and have the new BLACK on waitlist (yippee!), and usually wear them with either your herringbone natural trousers, or my own natural linen pants, but really prefer a skirt for weddings …

After all the TSV hoopla is over and you have a bit of time, could I beg a little advice on a good skirt to pair with the jacket … any chance there’s something coming up early spring that might work? Oh, wouldn’t a natural linen and/or lace skirt with a border hem trim to match the jacket be divine … a girl can dream 🙂

    Thanks, Cathy in PA

  42. Tuni

Well, I started the year saying that the only clothing I would allow myself to purchase is Linea (trying to limit my spedning just a tad!)–and your offerrings this month have been a real blessing. I picked up every jacket/sweater color along with the dance skirts/bodysuits. Thanks for such lovely pieces.
One question re: the body suit/dance skirt outfit. How would that look with some kind of jacket or sweater? Sometimes I need a jacket just due to cooler temps inside and I’m interested in your designing eye perspecitve on the kind of sweater or jacket that would work best with the flow of the bodysuit + dance skirt combo.
Thanks for the beautiful clothes and for your generous spirit in providing this forum to get some designer advice. It is much appreciated!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tuni, I think you can have many options depending on your body type and your comfort level. For fall/inter it will be a boot skirt, and with the matching body suit you can wear anything from a tailored jacket to a jean jacket. You can wear a classic trim cardigan to an over sized mohair cardigan [a dancers look]. I think you would be better off with a jacket that has shape rather than a swing jacket. My leather jacket or suede jacket with the knit trims would be perfect. The Tarragon leather jacket over the black bodysuit and skirt would look outrageous. Just keep it trim for jackets and anything goes for cardigans. You just have to experiment…….discovery is the fun of dressing…

  43. Nancy in Tennessee mountains

Louis – Like all your admirers I’ll be watching tomorrow even though my order is in for all WK colors, black & ivory jackets, truffle set & tarragon jacquard dress!

So my question is will the black ponte TSV fabric match A230026 black ponte skirt which just arrived?
Congrats on the TSV. Looking forward to spring jewelry and clothes – your designs are wonderful – so easy, fun & fashionable.
    Nancy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…..I checked my samples and miracle of miracles the blacks are good. You never know with blacks from one dye lot to another but if yours is as good as mine…..no need to get another.

      1. Nancy in Tennessee mountains

Thank you Louis for checking at such a busy time. I plan on ordering the zip front ponte skirt in ivory and sea green then. Also want to let you know that the new animal zip front jacket and the black gauze cardigan are both fabulous unique pieces that will travel well and have many uses.
Thanks for these new options – am recently retired, but not from your designs!
My best for a terrific week,
        Nancy

  44. Rita

    Dear Louis,
Your clothes are so wonderful and I have loved them since the Anne Klein days. Will we be seeing any pants in “tall” sizes? I still have a few pair that were purchased in prior years but would love to replace those that are looking worn. I need a 34 or 35 inch inseam and the 32 inch doesn’t quite do it.
    Thanks very much,
    Rita

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rita…..I am sorry to report that I could not convince them to order talls…..believe me I tried. All of you talls really have to get together and make a strong point that they are necessary. So far your group has not be vocal enough and the number of women who speak up has been small and have not shown up. The petite women, though small, are a mighty and very vocal group. Come on talls get it together and RALLY! If there are strong enough numbers and you are very persistent….it will happen….I’m the perfect testament to that!

  45. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, think the gorgeous new TRUFFLE skirt color work well with the two beautiful herringbone jackets from the Fall? Probably best with the PALE OLIVE but it looks like it would coordinate just fine with the neutral STONE also. Also the RUBY version of that skirt looks, in photos, like it is in the same ball park as the RED option in the WK turtleneck. Lots of options here.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Have you been in my design room??? That is exactly how I am showing the truffle bodysuit. It works great with both. I will show the body suit with the natural herringbone. Actually, that how I have the bodysuit in the sneak peek. The skirt would apply just as well.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Well, you know what happens when you don’t lock the door… 😉 But I didn’t touch a THING!!!! Honest!!!!

  46. Kate

LDO–love the new watch and will be scooping up in gold. That said, can you give us some intel on other new jewelry pieces coming over the next few months? The faux tortoiseshell pieces we saw in Jac’s vacation pictures? The wind chime pieces shown with the TSV? More?!!!

Oh, and I will lead the charge on a LDO fragrance.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You greedy little song bird….lots and lots to come tortoise, amber, olive and a tortoise watch all coming this spring/summer….so much more.

    2. Mary

I love that you’re calling it a windchime necklace – what a perfect name.

And I’ll second the motion for an LDO fragrance.

  47. Jean

Louis, I hope you give us a Sneak Peek of the A230883 WK elbow sleeve sweater. QVC has the item description up with no photos. Makes me nuts when they leave it like that for DAYS like they’ve forgotten about it. Others here seem to know what it is, but I don’t. Coordinating TSV pieces always sell out first.

I’m getting my list together for Monday’s order! Thank you.

  48. Cela

The “Linea”/”Louis” buttons are adorable. I’m in the market for a gorgeous new ivory jacket which will be pretty with the iris and seagreen WK scoopnecks I preordered.
It will also work with the new “Fiesta” OLE! colors coming in March (can’t wait). All will easily coordinate with navy pant and skirt I’m hoping to get.
I also see that there’s a navy BOHO available now, which I’d love under the soft peplum jacket.
The thing I just love about the jacket is the toned down approach to the peplum, it’s so modern and conservative!

Louis, will you tell us what WK styles are coming in these pretty “Fiesta colors”? So I can plan which will look best under my new designer-buttoned jacket.

      1. JazzDiva

        Louis,

Does the Iris TSV and matching skirt WK match the Iris ribbon candy cardi from a couple of years ago? I have this cardi and wouls love to have a matchng skirt. Looking forward to the shows on Monday.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear JazzDiva, I delayed in answering your question because I wasn’t sure if I still had the “ribbon candy” sweaters, and as I suspected, I do not. After a certain period, and when I am sure they will not be reordered, I give them away to charitable organizations. After almost 13 years at QVC, if I kept all the samples I have received, I’d be buried in Linea. Sorry I can’t help you with this one.

          1. JazzDiva

Louis, thanks for the reply. I will take my chances and order this color. It will be a happy bonus if they match the sweater. Off to check out the latest sneak peeks.

    Dear Louis:

This jacket junkie just preordered your TSV in Sea Green, Coral & White with coordinating WK Elbow sweater! I wear alot of fun Black/White print dresses in Summer & love to PoP with great colors – this blazer is perfect. Are those a ‘signature’ LDO button? Love them.

    Signed, Button Freak 2

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

What A haul!! Yes they are my signature “L” buttons. I used them on last years denim peplum jacket. The coral and ivory jackets will have gold buttons the sea green will have silver. I did half the jackets with gold and half with silver. Black, Iris and sea green have silver and navy, ivory and coral have gold…..very democratic……

      1. Pamela in Anchorage

Impressive design – subtle maker’s mark! See you on the Q.

  50. Tylerpoo

    Dear Louis,

Has the denim pant and matching peplum jacket been reordered in the black? I know the pencil skirt is coming.

    Thanks

      1. Carol

Surely you jest! Those are the best jeans I have. Thankfully I ordered two in each color. Well, more pencil skirts for me, then!

        crdlb

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I wish everyone felt the same way as you. I am starting to think people just order and return. It is a mystery to me how an item sells out….not only sells out, but has a long waiting list and there is never any inventory..gets great reviews…..and still can have high returns. I guess some hope for the best, give it a try and then it doesn’t work out and is returned. I have no other answer.

          1. Carol

Well if they keep track of what’s coming back as well as they do what’s going out, I think you have an answer. Not one that you’ll like, I’m sure.

            crdlb

      2. Diamondscribe

I’m with Carol there. I ordered two in every color in two lengths! All the jackets also. I love that denim fabric. Will there be any other items in that great denim in addition to the pencil skirt? I would love that fabric in a straight leg pant (like the straight leg gab that came in olive, fawn,& black – another one I bought in duplicates)?

      3. LauraL

That is really too bad. I wanted more paires. I only bought one pair as I was concerned about the sizing. They fit beautifully. But when I went back to get more – my size was all sold out. I was hoping they would return.

  51. LauraL

    Hi Louis

I guess this is my question day. How does the Iris in the new whisper knit sweater, TSV, and skirt compare to the violet in the black and violet herringbone skirt and/or the waist whittling sweater in grape?

    Thanks

    Laura (your travelling lady)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They do not match at all. The Iris is much bluer than the Violet which has more red.

      1. LauraL

Thank you very much for the replies on my various questions. I ordered the TSV and the sweater and plan to order the skirt to match. I was just hoping the jacket would work as double duty the houndstooth skirt. I also ordered the coral and sea green. I need some brighter colors to brighten the blah winter cold.

The jacket looks wonderful and the with the TSV price I couldn’t resist ordering more than one.

        Laura

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The only solid jacket that Matches the Violet HTC skirt is the solid herringbone seamed jacket from last fall in the same Violet colo.r

  52. Chris/Jazzmom

The coral jacket– how bright an orange is it? Bright or muted?

    Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s really very arbitrary. I would not say it is muted and I would not say it’s a screaming bright color, but it has a presence.

      1. Cathy in PA

        Dear Louis,

If you see this, another question about the coral please, as I love it but Q’s photos make it look a bit harsh, and more of a bright ORANGE rather than coral … is there any pink tones to make it a true coral, or is it more of a clear orange? I do much better with coral shades than bright orange.

        THANK YOU,

        Cathy in PA

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Cathy,
It definitely has more of a pink under tone than orange. My photos also look harsh and on the red orange side, but it is not.It also looks much brighter and saturated than it really is. The color is softer than my photos, which I will post today. It’s a beautiful color.

          1. Cathy in PA

Thank you, and thank you for today’s photo collages 😉

Never met a dilemma I didn’t DISLIKE. But not being an insider member – I canceled it years ago – I know that link below “works” but it’s not meant for the likes of me. I don’t get the special e-mails nor know the secret handshake. I guess I’ll just wait for the lower price on the day. No biggie. Thanks for trying to share your membership benefits w/me though ;).

    1. Jane

      Nancy — Just FYI —

This was not an Insider email and had nothing to do with Insider membership. It was a “Style on Q” email which is an E-newsletter available to anyone without charge. No membership benefits were being shared — it was public info.

On QVC.com at the bottom of the page where it says Stay Connected with QVC, there is a link to Sign Up for Email. You can personalize what emails you would like to receive from QVC including Style on Q which can have sneak peaks on TSVs. Hope that helps.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Gee Jane: Thanks for the directions and explanation. So I don’t need to know the secret handshake after all????? You’re sure? 🙂

  54. Tylerpoo

    Dear Louis,
This is a question about the mushroom color. The pleaded skirt in dark mushroom A227575, is that a close match to the truffle dance skirt and also would the truffle match the mushroom feather print A227579.
    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No they are totally different. The truffle has more of an olive tint.

  55. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Do you have your show dates for February and/or March? I’m doing my travel plans and don’t want to miss you on air! Thank you. Love the TSV and so much more!

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I believe Feb 7th is the date, not confirmed. No date yet for March and beyond.

  56. Jane

    Hi Louis,

Great news! Just received an email from QVC for your TSV ponte blazer! Wow! We can order today! No craziness at midnight. Thought you’d like to know.

    Jane

    1. Jane

P.S. — I see that if you go thru the link on the email, it’s the TSV price. Otherwise, just searching by item #A219824 it’s the higher price until I guess midnight on 1/7.

      Jane

            1. Cheryl

I tried to order through the link, but when I checked my cart, the jackets were not at the TSV price. I am so bummed that I didn’t get the e-mail. It should be pretty obvious to QVC that most of what I buy from them is from Louis. I guess I have to sign up specially, but I have usually gotten the e-mails for brands I have previously ordered. Oh, well, looks like I’ll be up late Sunday night after all.

            2. new york karan

I had the same problem. You can call customer service and tell them you need a price adjustment. According to qvc blog, they have had a lot people call. I took a different route. When I add the TVS as my last item in my order, the price did not change. Good luck.

            3. Carol

When I went from the link, I had to go back to the link each time to get the TSV price. The back button doesn’t work. Also, if you add anything to the cart AFTER you use the link, it goes back to the regular price, so if you’re ordering more than the jackets, put them into the cart first. Now you know the secret handshake! LOL

          1. DeLois

Thanks so much, Jane……. It worked and I ordered and signed up for the e-mails…… sometimes it is worth it…….. thanks for sharing the link……

          2. LauraL

Thank you very much for the link. I have ordered mine.

            Laura

          3. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Awesome!! Thx I didn’t get that email…I got make up email instead…..

          4. Nancy in Tennessee mountains

thanks Jane for this link – I reordered my jackets to get the TSV price!

    2. LauraL

      Hi

I didn’t get an email. Do you have the item number and info to share so I can order?

      Thanks

      Laura

  57. LauraL

    Hi

Follow up question. Are the Navies the same as well in the new items as compared to the blazer/skirt and also the A221796 Whisper Knit 3/4 sleeve sweater.

    Thanks again

    Laura (Your travelling lady)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear LauraL…..I’m not sure if I understand your question, but I will tell you the four new pieces in navy, the TSV jacket, pant, skirt and WK sweater all match. I don’t know if they match old navy pieces.

  58. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Wow Louis! If you line up the QVC picture of the new TRUFFLE wrap top and the photos here of the new TRUFFLE wrap top – they look like entirely different colors! Way to confuse me more than I ordinarily am QVC, about colors!

  59. LauraL

    Hi Louis,

Quick question. Is the Ivory that is coming in January in the TSV, Skirt, and pants the same Ivory as A221814 – Aline skirt with seaming detail and A221808 Notch Collar Blazer with Front Pockets that came in Ivory, Red, and Blue.

I am trying to figure out what colors I need to get.

    Thanks

    Laura (Your travelling lady)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I gave the same Ivory as the standard so they are VERY similar.I certainly think they could be worn together. It’s more whether you like mixing the crepe and ponte…..for me it’s good.

  60. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

    Good morning Louis!

While I know that a “truffle” IS a “mushroom” 😉 I’m looking at the new pictures online at QVC in which your new faux wrap skirt, pictured in the TRUFFLE color option, looks a whole look more like a deep rich brown than the pictures here at the blog do. These here, make the truffle color look more “greyed”. So here’s my question:
As you look at the color in person – would it coordinate with the MUSHROOM color of the safari jacket from late summer/early Fall? It would have to be more in the richer brown tones than in a greyed tone I would think. So thought I better ask the guy with the expert “eye”.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I looked at both colors and they are entirely different. Last years mushroom safari jacket is more of a pink tan compared with the truffle which is a greyed olivey brown…….I told you it was hard to describe. Even thought they are very different I like putting these very different neutral colors together.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

OK, I consider that “permission granted” 🙂 I think this new TRUFFLE is going to be quite the chameleon! I can already see that it looks like it will work well with a boatload of colors and shades! And as you noted somewhere – definitely the navy safari jacket also. I won’t even MENTION all the fun I plan to have with the RUBY option of this skirt…..So much going on here today! What a fun sand box to be playing in 🙂

  61. diane

    Hi Louis,

New WK runs smaller per size chart, should I order my normal size or size up? and is sleeve length just below elbow? Thank you, love your whisper knit, I love the way they feel against the skin! I have never been able to wear layers until I wore your WK!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you are referring to the new WK being sold with the TSV buy your normal size….it is not small.

      1. diane

is sleeve below or above elbow on new wk scoop neck sweater?

  62. Diamondscribe

Louis, the scoop-neck elbow-sleeve sweater (A230883) is up on Q for ordering. I ordered the sea green and coral this morning. I may go back and order more once I see the fit of the sweater on air. I love the 27 3/4″ length for my 3X (tall and long torso) and am looking forward to the elbow length sleeves (great for Florida). When I first red about the scoop-neck WK to go under the TSV, I was concerned it was the A3825 short sleeve shell that I have in several colors but rarely wear because of its shorter length. So, thank you for the longer length on this new scoop neck.

However, I have a question in the measurements Q shows for the sweater. They show the hip (sweep straight) as being 4″ smaller than the chest measurement. Is this correct? Does this have a ribbed banded bottom like the turtleneck? That’s the only explanation I could think of for why the hips measure 4″ less than the chest. But, when I checked the turtleneck’s “click here” measurements, even it doesn’t have as much of a differential between the top and bottom as the scoop-neck shows. Please verify this for me. Thanks. Deb.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Do not worry, it has a wide rib bottom, but it has lots of stretch. Your size will fit

  63. Tylerpoo

The WK’s that are coming in March/April, will there be any mushroom color like the WK turtleneck, short sleeves?

      1. Debbie Macy

        Hints??????

          1. Debbie Macy

            WOW!! Thank You!

      2. Diamondscribe

Oh, wow, wonderful choices! Lime and nectarine are my two favorite summer accent colors. Navy is my favorite spring/summer neutral. Thanks!

  64. Dariann

    Dear Louis,
Your new abstract print top A230030 arrived today and I couldn’t be more pleased. I ordered the grey and just went online to QVC to get the matching skirt. Are you going to design more fashions in this great fabric? It is so soft and great for travel.

Dear Dariann…the draped top from fall with the matching skirt was the same fabric. The colors were black, teal and violet. The new body skirt and faux wrap skirt and the new cowl neck tunic with the as metric hem are all in the same rayon/ span fabric. I plan to use it as a staple. It also comes in different weights…heavier and lighter. I have only used the med. weight so far. I ‘m glad you love it….I do too.
