    Dear Louis,

We have a post going on the forum about our favorite Linea items, and we talked about how much we love A217976, the quilted jacket. Has that been reordered? I have two already, but the Black one is calling…

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary….that jacket to my dismay was not reordered due to high returns and slow sales.I don’t know why….it’s one of those garments that I was sure to be a winner, but it did not turn out that way.

  2. Dee

    Hi Louis,
I am going to buy one of your maxi dresses, just love the colors and flattering style, but Im only 5 ft tall. I will have it hemmed. Where should a maxi dress hit on me? at ankle? or because Im short, have it hemmed shorter? What is your opinion about a good length on a petite women?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dee, first I would say there is no correct length…..it’s more about what you are comfortable with. At the ankle or jut above the top of the foot is a true maxi length, but I would not get too hung up on the word MAXI. If you prefer your long skirts to be above your ankle that’s fine too. Some women have even gotten two or three colors and have shortened them anywhere from above the knee to mid or just below the knee. If you want the longer look I would say at or just below the ankle. This would look fine on you because this is a column dress and does not have a full skirt, which would be a difficult proportion to wear for you.

  3. Louis Dell'Olio

The lime WK sweaters do not go with the skirt mentioned which is a very different color.i love lime with many colors and under many different color jackets like turquoise, purple, olive, tangerine, aqua, chino, khaki, gray, orange, green. It also works with prints that have the lime in it, which I have coming.

    1. new york karan

Thank you so much. Your answers are always so helpful. Can you send us another WK sneak peek with the lime and pink colots?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will send all of the sneak peeks of the WK just before they are avail. for selling.

  4. new york karan

I’m back with another color question. The Stretch Knit Pull-on Pencil Skirt (A29715) comes in what is called a light green. Will this light green color go with the new lime WK sweaters? The lime sweater looked great with the white jean jacket and pants in the last show. Besides white, navy or black, what other colors would you use with the WK lime sweaters?

  5. Sharon

Hi Louis, I was wondering if there are other Maxi dresses coming for Spring or Summer . I find for the summer months I am much more comfortable in Maxi dresses. But I find that polyester can be rather warm. I wish you could use some cotton or gauze , maybe soft linen combo fabric. Do you think the Q would go for that?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They will not buy linen, and finding cotton that doesn’t look cheap or isn’t too expensive is a challenge. All of the cotton gauze maxi skirts or dresses I see in the catalogue s are much more expensive than they will buy, but I never stop looking.

Forgot to mention, my outfit working the trade show in AC, on Valentine’s Day: Black 2 Button Wool Blend Boucle Jacket, Black Boucle Wool Blend Skirt with the Satin Piping and little chiffon godet inverted pleats at the hem, deep crimson red silk satin tank with pleats around the scoop neckline, black tights, black suede and leather pumps with bows, Ruby and Diamonds and Gold Jewelry … many compliments and requests to know who the designer is … thank you, sir 🙂

    Cathy in PA

      1. Cathy in PA

Thanks to you, kind sir 🙂

  7. Cathy in PA

    Dear Louis,

I’ve been remiss in not reporting back on my items from the last show … a trade show in AC, President’s Day child sitting, and the inevitable cold and sore throat following both …

I’m so PLEASED with everything in my boxes. The denim pieces are a delight … I ordered all 3 colors, but I LOVE the Yellow Jacket the most! Matching skirts and jackets all fit to perfection. Took a huge, for me, gamble on the Black Sophia dress, and Walter said “Oh, MY, that’s ELEGANT” … that went straight into the closet LOL. So many ways to dress that up or down; I’m sorely tempted to order in the Berry color too. Striped Cardigans are so fun, and cozy; Walter even suggested taking one to the beach 🙂 And then the sleeper in the box: I finally ordered the Tortoise Jacquard Jacket in Cobalt/Black, and I can only echo all the other comments … WOW! Cold or not, I’m going to a luncheon in D.C. area Saturday … what to wear, what to wear, what to wear???

    Thank You, Cathy in PA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

such problems, such problems, such problems…..I don’t mean to enable….but….the berry is a very pretty color….a real berry lipstick color.

      1. Qulia

CathyRd, if I may jump in –get the berry– I received the black Sophia dress, tried it on and immediately went to my laptop and ordered the berry. Got that one and it’s a keeper, too. Chris really liked them on me. They are so flattering and slimming and versatile and comfortable and the two colors are different enough that you can have multiples.

Louis, please consider bringing the Sophia back in more colors. How about an ivory or espresso or navy or hot pink or that gorgeous cobalt blue. Thank you for making me look and feel so good!

        Julia

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Julia you know I would love to, since I too, love that dress. It’s all up to how well it does and how the returns are. The black did well the berry did just OK, so that’s not a good indication of a reorder, but sometimes I’m surprised.

        2. Cathy in PA

Just keep right on enabling, PLEASE 🙂

  8. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, I have a question about the bead and hammered link necklaces. I’ve ordered all 3 and look forward to them. I’m wondering if you have tried these with any of the TSV jackets? Particularly I am wondering if any of them go with the Iris, the sea green or the coral?

And as a follow-up question, I am wondering what your personal rule is regarding mixing gold or brasstone jewelry with silver buttons or gold buttons with silver tones and gun metal?

3rd question: what is the current date, if you know it, for when the goldtone version of the wave necklace is due to be available? Gotta have my accessories!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Nancy,
I placed all three colors up to the Iris, Sea Green and Coral and the Gold and Brass necklaces work with all three/ The gunmetal looks best with the Iris and sea green….but if you mix it with the others then it works with all three too.Since the beads are clear, when you wear it on a color it picks up the color you are wearing it with. I love the brass and gold worn together, actually I like ALL THREE worn together, but that’s only if you can carry it with confidence.
I have no rules about mixing metals. I know some people think you can never wear gold with silver….hogwash! I think when you put it on you will instinctively know whether it works or not. This fall I am planning an extensive group of mixed metals, combining silver with gold and gunmetal with chocolate metal, and in some cases all four. I am anxiously waiting to see the samples, but with Chinese New Year….everything is on hold.
Your third question is the $64,000 question……I don’t have an answer, but I think that Chinese New year has played a part in the delay. Making the gold is a longer process than the silver and I can only surmise the production schedule got…..let me see, how should I put this……SCREWED UP! I can absolutely assure you it is coming!!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

P.S. When a jacket has a metal button it makes it easier to mix metals if you wear bangles or bracelets on one arm in the mixed colors.

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

BRILLIANT!!! I’m thrilled, you can tell 🙂 And I already know from your sneak peeks that these necklaces are FABOOO with the pebble crepe tunic and boho look. Thank you for resolving the question on “mixing” since I’m sure with these great new signature buttons in gold and silver tones – this question will come up again in future. Will continue to ever-so-patiently drum my fingers on the table till the goldtone wave necklace comes in. Since I got 5 of the colors in the TSV jacket (I’m so in love with that jacket) I’m excited that all 3 of these will work in various combinations. And of COURSE I’m all over the fish necklace when it comes in too!

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Just got an answer to the gold necklace situation….It is shipping out of R.I the first week of March to QVC so figure the second or third week it should be loaded………they will have to photograph it…..don’t hold me to it because I don’t really know how long it will take once it gets to QVC.

            1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Thank you Louis for the absolute latest news on this little beauty! I’ll be watching for it after the 1st week of March!

  9. new york karan

I own the ivory A-line Skirt with Seaming (A221814) and wonder if it is a match to the ivory Three Button Jacket with Seaming Detail (A232344) in color? I looked the videos and you mention two other jackets, which are sold in my size. Thank you.

    1. Chris/Jazzmom

I bought the three button jacket in ivory with the intention of pairing it with A221814 in ivory color and I can say comparing both fabrics and color ivory that they are a match. Hope this helps.

  10. Debbie

    Dear Louis,
I got all three colors of the new WK tank, and love the length. Are any of the new WK’s coming in April be a little longer as well or are they all the 25 inch for the large?
    Thank you

  11. Bobbie

Louis, I just wanted to give you some positive feedback about some of your recent items. I had to attend several events recently, with little notice, and all three were dress occasions. Since I am retired, there is little occasion to dress up, but thanks to my Linea wardrobe, there was no reason to panic and no need to go shopping! To the dressiest event, I wore the black jacket with the satin ruffled neckline and matching skirt with great black pumps and pearls and was told I looked so elegant. To another event, I wore your new black crepe jacket and matching slacks with a black WN sweater, the black enamel cross and enamel station necklace, gold earrings and heels, and my husband could not take his eyes off of me! Since I was on a roll, for a daytime event, I wore your new teal jacket with matching WK TN sweater, black front-zip pants, your black and gold bead necklace (from a couple of years ago), your black and gold bracelet and gold earrings and felt quite confident! After all was said and done, I had a few friends emailing me to say how elegant and lovely I looked and wanted to know where I got my clothes. Happy to share the wealth, I let them know about your gorgeous fashions on QVC. I believe your number of Linea Ladies is quickly growing! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to interact with you about your designs. You are a blessing!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bobbie….your choices and the way you accessorized each one sounds absolutely beautiful!!!! and thumbs up to your hubby! I’m not surprised you received the compliments, but it’s always the woman wearing the clothes….not the clothes!

  12. Sharon

Dear Louis, I have to start preparing for the upcoming shows. I know I need the new sweaters in many colors but I forgot what six colors and styles are going to be available so could you list them please. Will they be the only new items available on this upcoming March 4th shows. Time goes so fast between shows it must be overwhelming for you. Also will the fish necklace and earrings be available too?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Sharon,
The fish pendant, earrings and fish bone bracelet will be avail in March….exactly when in March….I don’t know. Since the jewelry is sold “On Line Only”, and does not get air time, I never know when it will be posted. It could be early , mid or late March. When I know I will let you know. All I can say is I have received my samples and they came out GREAT!
I will have official picture sneak peeks of the WK group when it will be avail, but it is not due until April. Again, since this is an “On Line Only” purchase. I do not know exactly when it will be avail. The colors are….Navy, Black, Aqua, Hot Pink, Lime and Nectarine. There will be a classic cardigan, a kimono cardigan, a V-neck tank, a V-neck short sleeve, a scoop neck short sleeve and a sleeveless mock neck.

  13. Mary

    Dear Louis,

Will you have Sneak Peeks of the new colors of Olive and Caribbean Blue in the Hydrangea shirt? I’m dying to see them.

    Pretty please?

    Thank you,
    Mary

      1. Ava Belli

        Louis,
Your hydrangea blazer has been out of stock in many sizes. Any chance that has been reordered in a medium, butter color?
        Ava

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sorry Ava…..no chance at all.The jacket is a discontinued style along with the skirt…..but the top lives on. It seems there are more big flower prints now than ever.

          1. Ava Belli

That’s too bad. After seeing the Joan Rivers awful offering yesterday it made me think of your your pretty floral blazer. Makes one wonder how a hideous jacket as yesterday’s TSV can get air time and the powers that be… wont reorder your beauty. What a shame!

  14. Connie

    Hello Louis,

QVC has stopped shipping to Canada. How can I purchase your fabulous fashions.
I have shopped for over ten years with QVC. I don’t care how long it takes to ship. Please, let me know how I can attain your beautiful garments.

    Sincerely, Connie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Connie,
There is a wonderful Linea Lady who is helping many women who live in Canada get the clothes by having them shipped to her and then out to the Canadian women. I believe her name is Loren, and either one of the ladies here can give you the info on how to reach her or if you post on the QVC Fashion Form….”Canadian Linea Lady Seeking Help”, I am sure she will answer you. So far I have read that the women who have done this are very pleased.

      1. Seka

        Connie,

I am one of the Canadians that Loren is helping with my Linea orders – by having the items shipped to her home – and then to Canada. Loren is currently in the process of compiling my second Linea shipment.

I have forwarded this message to Loren – and asked her to respond to this Blog.

        Regards,
        Seka (Susan)

    2. Loren

      Hi Connie,
I am the Loren that has been helping some of the Canadian shoppers with their continued pursuit of purchasing Linea and Louis Dell Olio jewelry. My direct email is lorencastleman@yahoo.com. Please feel free to contact me anytime. I do not charge for this service. You just pay the actual postage charge to your destination of choice and the normal Canadian duty. I have found most of the ladies are ordering on average 12 pieces and the cost is between $35 and $42 US dollars. That added less than $3 per piece to continue getting Mr Dell Olio’s great fashions. I have the pleasure of seeing his creations in person that perhaps I did not order or in a different color and am having great fun when packages arrive on my door step! The more he sells, the longer we can all enjoy the Linea line.

      1. Ann/snickster

Loren, you are an awesome Linea Lady, to do this for our neighbors. I know they so appreciate you.

  15. clarika

    Louis
How do you find inspiration for your jewelry line, especially for choosing the colours and then the ‘feel’ of the pieces? Thank you for all your work.I love your designs!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I get inspiration from everything……fabrics are a big source for colors. Mostly it’s just a matter of what looks right to me as far as proportion, shape and size……the feel is all in the hands…..it has to say something…..a very hard thing to explain. I guess that is why I was born to do this type of work.

  16. farmerwife

could you let us kow the accent color used in the new black “Grecian” maxi dress? I have the dress in the 3 original colors and read the description of the green but was curious about the black. Love that dress. I thought I had asked this question this morning, but for some reason can not find the original post,.

  17. new york karan

Are there any others seagreen items in the spring/summer collection? It is such a pretty color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No….there aren’t any other sea green pieces coming. Each month I try to do different colors. That isn’t to say there are no colors that would work with the sea green…..just no additional sea green.

  18. Kate

LDO–first, let me tell you how delighted I am with your spring collection. I knew the denim pieces, blazers and tanks would be wonderful, but I LOVE the dresses! Especially the drawstring one which has some sort of Spanx effect as it makes my waist look about 20-in around. You’re a miracle worker.

Now, I can just hear you sighing as I ask you this, but what did you think of the fall fashion shows and how are you translating that to Linea? So much of what they showed is what you’ve been doing for the last year (herringbone, tweed, leather, animal prints, Russian colors, etc) which makes me wonder what tricks you have up your perfectly-tailored sleeve? What did you see that you love?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have to say…….I was not wild about what I saw…..way way too much BLACK! I loved “Belfast” and I know the designer, who is a really sweet guy, and I’m glad to see he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. I thought some of Proenza Shouller [don’t have a clue how their names are spelled]. They had some incredible WHITE pieces in a gorgeous fabric. I liked Donna’s collection a lot, which I have not in a while. I don’t understand why the critics, especially WWD panned it….I think it’s personal. We always liked the same earthy colors. Ralph is always good, but it was so Black it was hard to see. I thought Oscar was terrible and John Galliano did him no favors by the collaboration. Michael Kors looked like my APRIL GROUP….color wise.He is the only one of import that showed color. It was very Michael, which is very salable, but it’s looking all to familiar and very formula….he needs to step it up. Calvin Klein didn’t make an impression on me at all, again very BLACK. Mark Jacobs has looked a lot better. The PJ thing wasn’t done well and the coats and jackets looked old lady to me……London is a bore. Have I left anyone important out?

      1. Kate

Well, I would say that just about covers it!

Yes, lots of black on black on black which I love, but not really wearable and more editorial than real world. Nice to see some smaller, more streamlined bags and nods to winter white (especially suits). I was not too pleased to see so many 1990s grunge references, metallics, and re-enlisting modern military (again), though some of the very minimal shapes were a nice break from so many seasons of bling. It would have been exciting to see anyone do something breakout; Even Tom Ford had nothing jaw-dropping. I’ll be looking to Donna Karan (I love her use of rich chocolate brown), Zac Posen, The Row (nice sweaters), and Louis Dell’Olio this fall for inspiration!

        Thanks for sharing.

      2. Cela

Louis what do YOU have in mind for the FALL. I have to ask about a favorite of mine A221814, Do you have any plans to bring it back. The sleek waist and flaring hem–so good!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Cela,
That is not a style,QVC has reordered…..sorry. It’s too early to start talking fall. We just started Spring. The new few shows are going to be BIG!

  19. nikki

Louis, I was looking at the espresso georgette shirt with tank, I wanted to know if it will work with the mushroom feather print skirt? would the browns and the style work together? Thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki…..I checked my samples just to make sure, and as I thought they are PERFECT together. The colors and the styles look really great together. I would recommend wearing the shirt on the outside with a really great looking dark brown belt with a gold or brass buckle. If you don’t have one ….you should check on e-bay…..I picked up a gorgeous real Lizard belt for a $30.

      1. nikki

Thankyou for a quick reply. I ordered the shirt already. The best thing about Linea is how things go together from season to season. I know you put a lot of effort in that and I appreciate it.

  20. phyllis karasin

    Hi Louis,

When will your wavy bib necklace be back in the goldtone? I’ve been on waitlist quite a while.

    Your loyal customer,

    Phyllis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Phyllis, I keep asking the same question, and I keep getting the same answer…..”it’s coming”.

      1. Rochelle Simon

        Dear Louis,

Do you happen to know if there will be extra stock coming in the gold wave necklace? Or will waitlist orders be fulfilled only? Obviously, I’d love this in gold and missed it earlier. Much Thanks.
        Rochelle

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

There will be extra stock in the wave bib necklace in the gold, so you will be able to get it.It was selling very fast on wait list, so they decides to take it off…..personally I think they should have just sold out of it and reordered it…but that’s not my decision, so you are in luck. I was told today the silver is almost sold out.

          1. Rochelle

Much thanks Louis! I hope I’ll catch the gold when it arrives. My silver is en route.

If its ok to ask here…I’ve waitlisted A224278, your very popular black flecked shell in the two new colors. Pale olive and caramel. What shade is the caramel? Any complimenting garments to accompany this new color?

            Rochelle

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

It is very similar to the caramel WK turtleneck. There are no other clothes in this color. It is abeautiful neutral that works with anything.

            2. upallnight1/Deborah

Thank you for doing the tank in caramel. I had a tank in that color once before and wore it to death! It’s such a sophisticated and flattering neutral. I have and love your caramel turtleneck, too. I’m thinking about wearing it to the ballet next week with my new, jaw-dropping, ivory suit. We are a attending a matinee. Thank you for making it so easy to look fabulous and so much fun to dress!

          2. Carmille

Louis, the minute I read that the silver is almost sold out, I was on the website and ordered it and the earrings in silver.. I have learned the hard way!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

              Dear Camille,
If you really wanted it…..that’s a wise decision.

  21. Jane

    Hi Louis,

Recently on Ebay I had seen the TSV blazer in a fuchsia (or maybe flamingo pink) color. It was, of course, a sample and not in my size. This is one of my favorite colors and I was wondering if there are any plans for a jacket or blazer in fuchsia. I would love to see a fuchsia herringbone seamed detail wool blend blazer like you did this past fall in topaz, teal and violet.

Even though I am a New Yorker who likes her black, I find these bright colors are so cheery and make me feel happy!

    Jane

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jane…….have you been in my studio? The seamed herringbone jacket from fall is a very strong reorder candidate and fuchsia will be the new color if the reorder goes through. It is the same fuchsia as the WK turtleneck.

      1. Jane

        Louis,

That’s fantastic news! I love my fuchsia WK turtleneck and now a matching jacket – WOW!

        Jane

        1. Goldie76

          Ditto!

          1. Barbara in Virginia

            And I as well!

      2. Carol in FL

Had to pop in here–oh, Louis, I love that jacket!!! Would you please consider doing it in black??? Thank you.

        Carol

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol…..it is not a jacket where black would be a high priority. Because of the wool content, it dyes in beautiful colors. Honestly there are too many colors I would consider before black…..

          1. Carol in FL

I understand. I have the jacket in teal and topaz and love them both. Unfortunately, fuchsia is not a good color for me. Will there be any whisper knit sweaters coming this fall in teal and/or topaz? Thank you.

            Carol

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am not sure if any styles have been repeated in these colors.

      3. Carmille

Yahooo!!!! Fuchsia in that jacket – dynomite!

  22. Shari

    Hi Louis

I missed out on that beautiful yellow denim jacket. Boo hoo. Any idea of if it will be back
    in for the March show?
Lesson learned— don’t sit and ponder too long– ya’ miss out !!!
    Shari

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Shari…..you know better than that, hope-in and a pray-in…..how could it possibly be back on the March shows???? If it preforms well,…..it will be next year……sorry you missed out, it’s a fun jacket.

      1. Shari

Yes, Louis– I DO know better than that. I am so upset with me for waiting TOO long on the jacket.
I WILL do a better job of “hopping to it” when the March shows are on. I’m looking forward to combining my
last years purchases with the new things. Thats ONE thing I love about your line. Everything goes.
        Take care
        Shari

  23. DeLois

Louis, I received the stripe cardigan in the bamboo and ivory. I love it, however did not purchase anything to go with it and now it is too late. I think I saw some leggings that were coming in the future. Is that correct and will there be a short sleeve top v-meck in ivory as well? I hope I can get something in the future …… any other suggestions?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Delois,
The new crepe pant in Ivory, A232347 [lined], which was cut from the show at the last minute is avail in ll sizes but one. I showed it in the show with this cardigan. Also the A229472, gaberdine pant [unlined] is also avail in all sizes but one. Both of these pants work perfectly with your bamboo/ivory cardigan. The legging is due in April, but I’m not sure if it is going to be too white for your cardigan…..I think it is whiter. As for tops….that’s a bigger problem. I am finished with plain ivory tops for the season. Between the ivory tank, A232345, and the ivory scoop neck A230883, I thought there would be enough Ivory tops for the season. I guess the demand was greater than the supply!? I think you should keep checking, especially with the tank as I see sizes are becoming avail. You might luck out.

      1. DeLois

Thank you, I did find a pair in my closet that worked when I tried them on. Also had a tank the bamboo color, so I am all set. The border print dress is fantastic ( just wish it had a short sleeve) and looks great with the black jacket which I was afraid to order. Have ordered the black pants to match the jacket while I can get them. Today was “try on” day……. Thanks Lous

      2. Ann/snickster

The click here measurement guide has not been put up for the pants. I would like to order the black, but can’t without the measurements for the medium and large, just in case. Thanks, I love everything I ordered, which was the yellow denim jacket, indigo denim skirt, another black bodysuit, black tank, black crepe jacket and the blue border print dress.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Ann,
I think you should call customer service and ask them for the measurement and ask them why they are not posted?

          1. Ann/snickster

Thank you Louis, I did get the measurements I needed for the pants, the CS rep, of course, did not know why the measurements were not online for these, but said she would pass on the request to add them to the website. That was this morning, maybe someday they will pop up. Thanks again, have a great weekend.

  24. Debbie

    Dear Louis,
I received my denim jackets (white & blue) and they are perfect! fit, color, length, everything… I also received the WK tanks in each color… again a perfect fit. Length is great, as a large busted woman, the length is often taken up. I have tried on many denim jackets and could not find one that fit correctly. I do appreciate all your hard work.
    thank you…

  25. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,

Do you know if A222262 the floral print scoop neck maxi dress has been reordered in the purple and white color or another color combination?

Thanks again for the beautiful clothes.

    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, for some reason after the initial wait list order that was filled it has not been ordered again. The only two colors are the black and chartreuse.

  26. Eileen Holden

Hi, Louis. I am enjoying all my Linea clothes very much. They bring lots of positive comments. I just received the silver wave necklace and earrings, and I absolutely love them except I think the earrings are too long on me. Do you think you could use other earrings with that necklace or do you it is one of those pieces that needs its own earrings? I am wondering if the earrings that match could be a smaller wave. What do you think? Thanks a lot

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Eileen, you can absolutely use other earrings in silver such as my demi hoop, or any hoop for that matter…..or even a silver stud or no earring at all.

  27. nikki

    Hello Louis,
I noticed the carribean blue print top just being listed. I was wondering (along with the linea ladies) what will this coordinate with? Do you have any other items coming in the carribean blue? It must be a beautiful color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi nikki….it is a beautiful color….it’s in the aqua light turquoise family…..but nothing like any of the colors I have done before….hence the new color name. The C. Blue is the ground color with predominately yellow and white flowers. The yellow and white denim skirts look great with it. I am not doing anything else this season in this particular shade of blue.

      1. Carol

Can you describe the olive version of the hytdrangea print? I’m just gaga over the olive baby cheetah!

        crdlb

Oh, also, does the yellow jeans jacket coordinate with the new black/yellow maxi dress?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The olive hydrangea has tangerine flowers and yes the yellow jean jacket works perfectly with the new black/white/yellow dress…..I planned it that way.

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

It sounds crazy but do those tangerine flowers coordinate with the coral jacket that was a TSV?

            1. Debbie Macy

Or the new WK cardigans coming up in April?

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Chris the Coral TSV jacket does not work with the orange in the new Hydrangea print, but to answer Debbie…..YES…..the cardigans in
              ……TANGERINE…..work perfectly with the print.

            3. nikki

I love that (olive and tangerine, and a matching cardigan to come WOW!!!) but I also love the C.blue combination. Guess i will have to buy both. I am in so much trouble.

            4. Louis Dell'Olio

I can’t help you there Nikki.they are both beautiful and they are very different looking!

            5. Chris/Jazzmom

I received the olive hydrangea print top today and placed it against the coral TSV jacket and I have to disagree with you– I do think that the two items work together provided you leave the jacket open. There is a tiny bit of coral orange in the hydrangea flower to coordinate with the coral jacket. I would probably wear white pants still as the neutral bottom.

            6. Louis Dell'Olio

              Dear Chris,
I’m glad you liked them together….if your happy…I’m happy!

          2. Yvette

My waitlisted (since August) yellow/black maxi now reads “in process.” And the new yellow denim jacket is hanging in my closet. Can’t wait to put these two together! That will be the perfect way to wear this dress in March and April. By May, it will be really hot out, but the jacket will still be welcome in the air conditioning.

    2. Barbara C

Oooh–Caribbean blue–sounds gorgeous! Which top are you referring to? Must check it out!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Barbara…..it is the Hydrangea print V-neck top. The background is the C. Blue and the flowers are shades of yellow.

  28. Judi

    Hi Louis-
Another beautiful collection! I love everything I’ve recieved so far, the fit is excellent, the tailoring exquisite.
The denim jackets are among my favorites, they feel as though they were cut for me personally! The mock navy will be worn alot, the tanks are perfect. And of course, the new crepe jackets are fabulous….I love the longer length.
I love yellow for Spring (I’m pretty tired of winter at this point!). I have a question about the yellow denim jacket.
Is it the same, or similar shade of yellow as in the new scroll print top you presented? I found a R. Lauren stripe top with the identical shade of yellow and other than that, I’ll wear it with navy, turq. and of course white.
I’m waiting for the blush blouse, it looked so feminine, cool and ethereal when it was presented. I plan to wear it for a dressy social event this summer.
Thanks for the Winter Wonderland snow photos, and all that you do for us 🙂
    Regards to Jac-
    Judi

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Judi….if you are referring to the black and yellow top with the yellow border….yes, they are very similar yellows and do work together…….Since you already bought a yellow stripe top I won’t tell you about the yellow stripe top that’s coming on the next show, except that the stripes are narrow and irregular and I have cut them on the bias, and the front has a center seam so the stripes form a V……there is also a skirt to match……..it’s made in a slub knit and the yellow is Sunburst Yellow exactly like the denim yellow…….but your covered in this department…..LOL

      1. Judi

No, don’t say a word, but since you did —you rascal(LOL)….I’m ordering them as soon as I can! It sounds fantastic, the skirt also. There is always room for more!!! I love sunny yellow, it makes me happy….I have a guest bedroom decorated in yellow and blue toile 🙂

  29. Karen

Hi Louis: I just noticed on QVC that the hydrangea floral top has two new colors added, one being olive, and the maxi dress has two new colors, one being green. Will the olive hydrangea match the olive boho and exactly what color is the green maxi. My chili pepper georgette blouse is getting ready to ship. I’m glad new inventory is coming in.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Karen…..yes, the new Hydrangea print with the olive ground will match the olive boho and that is exactly ho0w I plan on showing it in the show. For those of you who may still own my olive cotton/span crop pant in olive….it works with that too. The green in the maxi dress is more of a spruce green and instead of the ground being white I had it tinted in a barely there mint. The accent trim color is purple.

  30. Chris/Jazzmom

Just received the rest of my order today and love most of it. A question about the black Sophia dress– the dress fits fine in my correct Small size and the waist is at my natural waist. Being 5’2″ the dress is hitting me mid shin. Would you recommend getting an inch or two off so its right below the knee for us Petite people?

Please continue to use the crepe fabric in your pants and blazers. The material works pretty much year round for me to wear and its perfect in weight.

I love the yellow denim jacket and the crepe pants in the ivory color. Can I request Navy pants for next year in this fabric?

The indigo pencil skirt is wonderful and I did have to go into a Medium for that. I cannot wait to wear the denim jacket from last year paired with this skirt.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…….I am very happy you are pleased with your clothes. As for the Sophia dress…..I think it is a dress that looks good at many different lengths, so if you like the way it looks mid-calf then leave it that length if it looks good on you. If you think it would work better mid knee….that’s good too. It’s impossible for me to give you a definitive answer without seeing it on you, but as I said, it would look good either way.

  31. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Anxiously awaiting my new Linea! Question regarding the swiss dot blouse in blush. Does this match the perfectly pink jacket with the pearl buttons and/or other perfectly pink items???

    Thank you,

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol……I no longer have that jacket to compare colors, However I did compare the dot blouse with the perfectly pink boho and the “Blush” color is slightly more peach whereas the P.P. is slightly more blue.

      1. Carol in FL

Thanks, Louis. I was afraid of that. I think I’ll order the black. I’ll certainly have lots to wear with that color. Thanks for the quick response. Loved your snow pictures!

        Carol

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The blush is a beautiful color and looks great with many colors like black, navy, ivory, but you can’t go wrong with the black…..very sexy.

  32. nikki

    Louis,
I just rec’d my yellow denim jacket ( along with skirt, and lots more… ) LOVE the yellow color. It is the color of spring, just like you described it daffadoil color. Beautiful. LOVE the jacket fit and cut. Thanks again for all my beautiful pieces. I also love the fit of my black crepe jacket. I plan to wear it with jeans. Looks very sharp. I am in the process of reviewing them on QVC.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Terrific news…..I always hold my breath waiting to hear what everyone thinks. I’m very happy you are happy with what you have received!

  33. Terri

    Louis,
Enjoyed the shows and am awaiting my orders! Everyone looked amazing and I loved Mary Beth in her navy. Just wondering, do you know if the belt she was wearing with the navy mock neck and short boho one from your collection, or maybe available from the Q? I am always on the lookout for a good belt, especially in navy or black.

    Terri (TexasMom1)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi Terri,
That was Mary Beth’s own belt, but I have had great luck finding belts on e-bay. Type in belts, designer belts etc. I’ve never typed in a specific color belt, but you could try. You just have to keep it up, because it’s always changing.

  34. Mary

    Hi Louis.
Like everyone else, I love your clothes. I have a lot of your suede jackets. I can’t believe I missed the show for Feb. on QVC, I even had them remind me, but my computer had been acting up. Anyway, the reason I am writing is I am hoping the your Georgette Shirt w/ shell, A214117 is coming back this Spring!! I have 2 in the sage (in case I ruin one) and have to get the black and the white one!! I just love them. Could you please write and let me know if they are returning and when I can order them!! Thank you, Louis, your clothes are very flattering, classy, and timeless!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Perfect timing……the shirt with shell will be on my March 4th show. The new colors are Chili Pepper and Espresso.

      1. Mary

Wow….Thank you, Louis!!! Are the black and white returning, too? I am going to dial as soon as the show starts; last time I think they were sold out during the presentation. I am getting so excited and already planning on how I am going to where them all!! See you on March 4th; it was also very fun to chat with you, Louis, personally!!!

    2. Chris/Jazzmom

I am on waitlist for (A212117) 2 new colors in espresso and chili pepper expected to arrive sometime in March as per an e mail I received about 6 months ago.

  35. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, you mentioned that the crepe jacket with signature buttons that came in the red, navy and ivory will be returning late spring in aqua.

Will all of the original colors also be returning – red, ivory, navy?
Also will the matching skirt also be returning?

I’m assuming you meant A221814 – the skirt in navy, red, and ivory – since the jacket is no longer available I don’t have the item number for it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

All the colors except ivory will be returning [navy, red, aqua]. The skirt was not reordered.

      1. JazzDiva

Glad to hear this as this is one of my favorite jackets – I get compliments whenever I wear it. I have it in navy and ivory but missed out on the red.

      2. Carol B

What about the sweater that was with that collection, A221796, 3/4 sleeve whisper knit? I only purchased the red and love, love, love the sweater more every time I wear it.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

For some reason that sweater had high returns and was not reordered. That is one of the few WK that has not been reordered at least once. I thought that was a great sweater…..boat neck, 3/4 sleeves, easy fit….but no….it didn’t fly.

  36. Viki

    Hi Louis,
I love your clothes I am a pharmaceutical Representative and your clothes are perfect! I purchased the black crepe suit I also have your herringbone in Olive. I purchased the size 18 int he herringbone Is the fit similiar in the crepe I ordered the 18 as well in the pants?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Viki…..they are totally different shaped jackets so I wouldn’t compare the two…..but I feel confident that if you are a consistent size in Linea, then there should be no problem……just to let you know, since you own the pale olive herringbone suit already. In May I will be bring back the black flecked tank that sols out in an nano second and one of the colors is the pale olive that works perfectly with your suit.

      1. Viki

Hi Louis! I got home today and saw a QVC box on my porch. The black crepe suit arrived along with the denim pencil skirt. I love them all and the fit is spot on. I am on waitlist for the yellow denim jacket. I want to order the Hydranga top Any suggestions for the yellow jacket I was thinking of the yellow hydranga top but wasnt sure if the yellows would match. Also do you have any blouses in addition to the clip dot to wear under the black crepe suit. I am definately a fan of yours!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Viki,
The yellow hydrangea compared to the yellow denim is very pale, more of a pale butter color and I do not care for them together. However the new C. Blue top in the Hydrangea looks great with it because the flowers are in the same yellow. Also the A222275, Pucci-esque print top [same body as the Hydrangea top, in the yellow is also perfect with the yellow denim.I will also have on the March 4th show a yellow/white chevron, narrow stripe, cap sleeve top in a wonder light weight, fine slub knit.Of course all of the new WK tops in all the great colors will be wonderful with the yellow
I do not have any other blouses coming for spring, but there will be lots of tops to go with the suit…..I especially love all the different WK shells in the new colors under the jackets. Every day the jacket can look different by just popping another color under it. Also, I love the look of the Kate cotton/span shirt under the jacket for a more casual look with jeans……..any of the colors work…..white, chambray blue, pale olive and the new teal all look terrific……….P.S. A214114, the cheetah print top under the jacket will also look terrific, especially the new grey/black combination.

          1. Viki

You are the best Thanks Louis!

  37. new york karan

There is a thread about your bangles and that you have been collectin them for some time. Where in NYC do you find them and any other good hunting ground? The models always look great.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There are lots of jewelry stores along 6th ave in the 30’s on the east side of the street. You just have to start on 40th street and walk down. Their stock changes quickly so you have to be lucky. Some are wholesale only but most sell to the public.

  38. Maureen

    Dear Louis,
First, thank you for all the beautiful clothes you design. I’m a longtime fan!!
Will you be offering any more navy pieces for spring and summer?
    Thank you for your time.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Maureen,
I will be having the On Line Only Whisper Knit Group, six styles, in navy. Then I will have a crepe blazer in navy with the gold signature buttons later in the season.

      1. Maureen

Fabulous Louis! I will keep my nose to the screen waiting for them. 🙂 thank you so much for the reply.

  39. Julia

A desperate request that on you can complete elegantly.

A dress made of either cotton pique or cotton voile or any other nonsynthetic in a babydoll style with a short sleeve that is loose fitting.

I would love to see ti in white, hot pink, turquoise, baby blue…

Something lightweight to stay cool in the oppressive heat in summer with the versatility to go from the big city to the suburbs.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Julia it sounds very 60s…..I put it on my list..I have a nice pique……no promises………

      1. Carol

I would love to see the pique in a summer shift with princess seams–for your 60’s theme!

      2. Cathy Dassler

Yes, yes, yes, yes … PLEASE … I love Julia’s idea!!! Might be cute with a contrast band at hem, neck and sleeve edge …

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I actually think the princess seamed dress would work better. I don’t think I would sell many of the baby doll dresses above a size med.

  40. Donna

    Louis,
I love that tobacco color and can’t wait to get my shell (among other things…). What else besides the shrug will be available in this shade? Thanks so much!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Donna,
Besides the tank and shrug, which will be on my March 4th show, on the same show I will have a crop pant in a print that has the tobacco as the ground color. They are really fun and are made in a supper light weight cotton/span.

      1. Donna

Louis, those sounds adorable! I can’t wait to see them.

  41. JV LI

    Dear Louis:
Love all your glam collection! I have closets full but always see something new and delish on your shows.
I have a ? for you, will you ever be bringing back the pants suit (jacket #A213215), it came in a superb shade of lavendar and sand, black and maybe pink. It was my favorite classy number! That lavendar and sand I missed out on and would love them both. Any chance they will return???
    Joanie from LI
PS: we are parents of 2 wire haired terrierorists as we call them. Your dogs are darling!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi JV LI.
I believe you are talking about the jacket with the pearl buttons. No, unfortunately that jacket has not been reordered again. However, the crepe jacket with the gold signature buttons that came in red, navy and ivory will be returning late this spring. We have added a new color….Aqua. It is so cool and refreshing looking.

      1. Donna

I MUST have that jacket in Aqua! I don’t usually do multiples (have this jacket in red) but this is my color and will be perfect for the warmer months. Can’t wait!!

  42. Cyndi/Fashion1

    Louis,

Oops! Just as I posted this all the previous posts have now been deleted. I sure hope had a chance to read my original post because I wanted you to know about the picture I have saved for many, many years of the Anne Klein leopard bag you had Kate wear on your 10/19/12 show. Have always admired that bag – among all the other fabulous Anne Klein clothes you designed over the years. You are my FAVORITE designer of all times!!! I am now “collecting” as many of Linea items that I can afford.

I did have a question for you. I purchased the black gabardine pants from the 10/19/12 show and love them. I also have on waitlist the new black crepe blazer. I’m hoping against hope that I might be able to wear the gabardine pants with the crepe blazer. Do you think the two fabrics would be compatible? Thanks for your help!!!

    Cyndi

    Cyndi

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cyndi…..since I no longer have the pants I can’t honestly say. I will say that I am a purist……meaning I like my suits matched top and bottom…..especially with ivory and black. I can only advise to get the crepe pant and see which you prefer with the jacket, then make your decision.

      1. Cyndi/Fashion1

I have to agree with you about wanting suits to match. The reason I purchased this GORGEOUS crepe blazer is because the design, fabric and detailing looks like the highest end quality. My gut instinct told me that I wouldn’t want to match it with a different fabric. Thank you for verifying that. My budget was getting in the way – Ha!! But to have a PERFECT black suit would be worth the additional cost of the crepe pants. Besides, where in any store will I ever find such a beautiful, quality suit as this at this price point?

        Thanks, Louis!!!

        Cyndi

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think you are making the right decision…..in the long run to have the matching suit is the right way to go. If you had said you bought the ivory crepe jacket and could you wear your black pant or did you need to get the same fabric pant in black….I would have said your black pant would have been fine….but a black suit or ivory suit….better in all one fabric.

          1. Cyndi/Fashion1

How did you know I’m dying to get the Ivory blazer, too!!! 🙂 I did order the black crepe pants yesterday. Just hope my waitlist order for the black crepe blazer comes through. Thanks for the great advice!!!

  43. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cyndi…..misspelling…..not a problem….I do it all the time. Enjoy your new things…..get back to me and let me know how thy work out.

  44. Cyndi/Fashion1

    Louis,

Just wanted to apologize for mispelling your name in my post (down a few)last night. Also mentioned Jac as “Jacque”. Not the best way to introduce myself!!! Must have been tired from all the excitement of the wonderful shows and now the anticipation of my BEAUTIFUL purchases arriving!!!

    Cyndi

  45. DeLois

I did not plan to buy anything in this show and ended up purchasing 4 items. I am very leery of the black jacket being too long for me, but decided to give it a try. The print dress was so different I could not resist, the navy mock neck and lastly I got the stiped cardigan in the lighter color ( color name forgotten), but decided it was more subtle than the rest and looked very much like summer with off-white pants……… Hope all are the right choices……. Every time I see the brown belt that looks like alligator on your model pictures, I cry as I had the Ann Klein belt and I loved it but could not wear it anymore so it is gone…..Wish that I could find something like it now…… any chance of belts being in the future and has anyone found a black belt without a silver buckle……. impossible to find in my area…….a gold buckle would be wonderful…….. or an all black classy looking belt. Thanks Louis

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Delois…….temptation is a terrible thing…..look what happened to Adam and Eve! The Bamboo and Ivory stripe cardigan is a lovely cool and summery choice. I think the length of the jacket may work out fine, because it is a three button jacket so the first button will probably hit you in a good spot…..no need to button all the buttons. It isn’t so much the length of the jacket …..it’s more important that the suppression doesn’t seem to be too low, but as I said due to the three button front it will probably be fine. The belt is an Anne Klein brown croco belt. You might have great luck in finding belts on E-Bay. There are many sites…..belts…..designer belts…..Anne Klein belts…..Ralph Lauren belts etc etc.You just have to keep looking, but I have found many that I use for the show.

  46. Mary

    Dear Louis,

I hope you and Jac made out okay with the storm. I’m on Long Island, and although we have about a foot of snow, thankfully we didn’t get much wind, so at this moment we still have electricity. I hope you had the same luck.

I have a request. I have loved the the horsebit necklace you showed in the Sneak Peek for A219797 ever since I first saw it. I managed to find a shorter version on ebay, but would love the long version.

I love gold link necklaces and that is a beauty. Pretty please?

    Thank you,
    Mary

    1. Mary

I tried to post the link but it wasn’t accepted. The Sneak Peek was from December 1, 2011.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary…..that is a vintage Anne Klein necklace. I did try to get it on the line but my manufacturer said it would be very expensive to make…….of course expensive is “relative”…….and what may be expensive in the QVC world may seem like a bargain to others…..I will bring it to the next jewelry meeting and see if I find the same resistance.

  47. Dee

    Hi Louis,
I had a question about speckled knit dress, A232339. I wanted to know if I ll be able to hem this dress, Im 5 ft tall. Does this dress have a sheen or is it just the lights on set? Also could I dress this up with a wide belt? thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Dee,
Yes you can easily hem this dress. It has a large solid black border at the bottom so you wouldn’t’t hurt the pattern at all. No, there is no sheen to this fabric, and yes you cad wear a belt over the draw string…..depending on where it falls on you. You can draw the dress in to make it as fitted or as loose as you want

  48. Sheesh

Hello, dear Louis. Well, here I am still In Johannesburg—and I watched your third visit/show on QLive since I got here on January 4th! The packages awaiting my return will be piled higher than the snow from the raging blizzard (which I am happy to miss at my home in Massachusetts)! Watching the shows on QLive at the hotel is very frustrating since if the show is not on in the middle of the night when no one is on their computer, it streams very slowly due to internet traffic and I literally get 1 or 2 seconds of the show and then it goes into a loop for another 15 seconds or more before I get just another second or two—at some point I just give up and then try to watch the videos later.

Of course, I bought like crazy again. Got the denim jacket in Yellow and Blue, and the skirt in all three colors (need to go back for the white jacket—I don’t know what I was thinking). Got the 3 button jacket in Black and the Petite pants in both Black and Ivory (probably should get the Ivory jacket, as well, perfect for my business meetings). Of course, got the Black and White Stripe Cardigan (on Waitlist–could Leah have looked any better—she also looked fabulous in the Coral TSV jacket from the last visit—she is really doing your clothes justice!)and I got the Print Tunic in the Black and Yellow.

I will not be back in the US until March–and might even be in the air during your next visit—oh my—hope I can order before I take off!

    Love to Jac.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheesh……you kill me! I hope you get this because all the latest posts have been moved to archives. I hope someone is taking your packages in for you or they will be under a pile of snow!!!……and even though the yellow bags are plastic…..they are not water proof. My March shows are on the 4th at 5am and 1pm…..will you be flying?

  49. Cyndi/Fashion1

    Hi Louis,
This is my first time posting to your blog. I discovered the Linea line about 2 yrs ago and have purchased as many of your beautiful clothes as possible and DVR’d most of your shows since then. I watch your shows over and over because I admire your beautiful, classic, well tailored collections and love to watch how you style everything you present us. I was so excited to realize you were THE Louis Dell O’lio for Anne Klein whose designs I have coveted since the early 1990’s. In fact, I have several notebooks filled with my favorite fashion pictures from magazines since that time to the present. What a delight it was to me to see that my favorite pictures – those of the Anne Klein brand – were actually designed by you!!!!!!! I feel so honored to actually be communicating with such a great and respected designer.

I want you to know that some of my favorite Anne Klein photos is a collection that includes the fabulous leopard bag that you had Kate wearing on your 10/19/12 show. I was so excited to pull out my notebook with that picture and saw that it was indeed the same bag. I have been admiring it for years!

Yesterday, the shows were two of your best yet!!! Thank you for all the time and care you put into presently such lovely fashion shows for us to enjoy. Of course I couldn’t help myself and HAD to purchase the Indigo and White Denim jackets, the Ivory Dot Blouse, Ivory Tank and the Black Crepe Blazer. Wanted more but had to draw the line somewhere. I truly love all of my Linea clothes. Thank you so much!!!

I do have a question. I purchased your lovely black Gaberdine pants from the 10/19/12 show. I absolutely love them (petite fits beautifully on my 5’1″ frame). Is there any chance that the fabric of the black gaberdine pants will go with the new black Crepe blazer that I just purchased? It would be a help to my budget (need to save for all the lovely WK items coming!!!)

Glad that you and Jacque made it home safe & sound and that she has her bag!!! (what a fright that must have been for her!!!). Stay cozy & safe inside with your girls during your bad storm there on the east coast.

Hurry Girls…After checking daily for at least a month, I just got to order
A228554 (leather and knit jacket) in black large. Thank you Louis. I got
the tarragon (which my husband really likes) but I wanted the black. Love, love
love it. Stay safe and well. Really enjoyed your shows and look forward to
    February,

Louis, I just heard on the news that this storm is packing high winds and heavy snow and could hit the same areas that Sandy got. That there could be High Water levels and all I could think of was the warehouse where our new sweater could be . How awful would it be to loose our new colorful sweater that we all are waiting for, so please make sure those sweaters aren’t in danger. Thank-you for another great show and beautiful new items. PS You can start Sneak peeks anytime your ready. I have to have the fish necklace and earring.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I hadn’t thought of that…..I hope my manufacturer has…..lightning striking twice

You all just be safe, prayers for everyone out there.

What wonderful shows on Thursday! I had already ordered prior to airtime, but had to add the three button blazer. I’m excited about the web-only knits. Wasn’t going to order the pleated skirt, but when I saw how you styled the tabacco, I decided I would have to purchase and wear to a wedding later this year. Stunning!

On another note regarding styling. You used some awesome, colorful, large cuff bracelets. Could you tell us where those were purchased. They helped to complete the outfits beautifully.

    1. jackie m

woops, I meant to say the bamboo skirt. Can’t keep all these colors straight in my mind.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jackie……there are stores in NYC….in the 30s on 6th Ave that sell all of this kind of jewelry…..it’s a matter of luck what they have at the time. I hit them every once in a while and always pick up something…..soon I will be able to open my own store.

  53. Mary

That was so much fun. I took a day off from work so that I could go home and watch the afternoon show, knowing I had to go out and would miss the evening show.

A big thank you for all the work you and Jac do to create such beautiful clothes.

  54. Tuni

    Louis,
I start each one of your visits with a shopping list. Having poured over your previews (over and over and over!) I write down the few items I will purchase. And then, within minutes of seeing you and the beautiful items, the list gets tossed aside and I shop with abandon. You give me ideas for pairing Linea pieces (new and old) and ideas for pairing Linea pieces with my existing closet items. And my ablility to stick to a small list goes away. But I shop and wear with great pleasure. Your clothes help me look pretty and FEEL pretty. Priceless!!
    Many thanks.

  55. Kate

I’ve lost track and the info is likely buried in here somewhere but can you tell me when I’ll be able to buy that tangerine tank Jac was wearing? A must have!

  56. Barbara in Virginia

Wonderful shows, Louis and Jac! I of course bought far more than I had first intended to but what the hey :-). I have you have arrived safely home and are prepared for the winter storm that is due to hit. It’s always something, isn’t it?!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

We did get home safely….thought later than we expected.as we were driving home Jac unbuckled her seat and was looking for something in the back…..then she starts with the OH MY GOD….OH MY GOD…..not something you want to hear on your way home! After asking her a million times….”do we have everything”, and being told yes……her BAG is missing, and if you’re like Jac… Her world is in that bag……endless to say after a few choice words….we turned around, called QVC BUT NO ONE COULD FIND IT. Light bulb….”did you leave it at the loading dock where we left from…..that ‘s where it was…..sitting right where she left it…..Back into the car and off we go. I’m a little tired this, owning!…….We are hunkering down for this “this HISTORIC storm”. Let it come we aren’t going anywhere!!!!

      1. Kate

Confucius say, A wise man never gets between a woman and her handbag.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Holey Moley…..you got that right! When we called QVC and asked them to check the Green Room and the model area and they said it wasn’t there she had a FIT!!!! right there in the car…..GO BACK GO BACK was all I heard. Thank God we found it at the loading dock where we left from or she would have torn the entire place down!Of course some how I got blamed and I told her “DON’T EVEN THINK OF GOING THERE”. It was a fun car ride.

          1. Goldie76

            Louis,

I have anxiety dreams about losing my handbag. Fear of losing the purse runs deep in women.

So glad you are home, safe and sound, and that Jac has her handbag.

          2. TourEiffel

It may help to think of Jac’s handbag like one of your girls. Had Jac discovered that Sammy was not in the car, the car would have turned around in a NY second. No blame game; just go find the baby!

            1. enjay

Ha! You may be our favorite designer, Louis, but ain’t no one here going to sympathize with anyone but Jac! It was her handbag! Nuff said!

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Enjay….all I can say is……God bless the sisterhood!

          3. Yvette

Oh Louis, you made me laugh out loud! As I read your account, I was picturing my dear husband and myself, thinking how similar our reactions would have been in that situation. Then you used his favorite expression, “Just don’t go there!.” Good thing I didn’t have a mouthful of coffee at that point. Glad it all ended well. I may have nightmares just from THINKING about a lost handbag.

      2. Barbara in Virginia

OMG is RIGHT!!!! Major anxiety anytime a woman is separated from her handbag. MAJOR!!! My major incident though was when I was at the barn and left to return home after much preparation in leaving the barn. My mental check as I was driving down the busy highway was to be sure that my handbag was on the seat next to me. WASN’T THERE!!! I turned around on the highway and as I was approaching the barn I saw my handbag on the other side of the highway. RELIEF! But as I discovered, not only had I neglected to put my handbag into the car from the roof of my car where I had temporarily put it, I had neglected to close it. The contents of said bag were strewn all along RT. 301, fortunately on the side of the highway. So like a crazy woman, I parked my car on the shoulder and as cars were whizzing past me I retrieved each and every piece of the contents of my handbag. Inner tranquility was restored. 🙂

Great shows! I think the biggest sleeper was the striped cardigan. My feeling was a lot of ladies were hesitant until they saw them today! That black and ivory flew out the door, LOL. Congrats, I bought a lot of good pieces.

    1. Jean

What sold out and what didn’t was really surprising to me. I can see that being a buyer for Q or a department store could be a difficult job. Some of my favorities didn’t sell out. Some that I didn’t even buy myself did. Guess that’s what makes fashion so interesting as a business. A lot of variables go into being a “fashion forecaster”. Luckily, I can just buy what I like and enjoy it. Great show, Louis!!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is no science, no reason why. I would have bet $500 the the black/ivory stripe would have been the last color combination to sell and the blue /black [denim friendly], or the grey black [a popular color combination] would have sold out, but no…..the boldest one sold out. I am sure it was because Leah, who is a large woman, looked so fabulous in it. Every time I saw her on the monitor, from all different angles….I thought WOW. You never know. That’s always the case with me. When all the samples come in there are always favorites, and it’s always disappointing when my favorites don’t do as well as I had expected. It’s also surprising to me when something sells extremely well and then it is reordered and then doesn’t do well?? As I said there is no science to this…..it’s all a guessing game.

        1. Sharon Santourian-Holman

I thought the exact same thing Louis! But when we saw Leah, it was like WOW! Obviously so did everyone else, LOL. I did get the grey, but heavily debated on the ivory too. Total surprise.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

I love the grey…..you didn’t make a mistake…..when I saw Maria in it. I said WOW for her too…..and she did also. She couldn’t get over how flattering the bold stripe was on her, and we decided it was because of the front drape. The stripes fall on the diagonal and the fact that it falls open keeps the stripes from being straight across the body. It really is very flattering, but how can you convince people that bold stripes can be flattering…..well I guess Leah did!!

            1. Carol

I got the blue! (and the bamboo, hehe)

            2. Chris/Jazzmom

              Love the gray/black combination.

Congratulations! Wonderful shows today, purchased more items than I originally planned, already looking forward to March shows. And sneak peeks. Drive safely back home.

    Dear Louis and Jac,

The ONLY question I have today is … how many cakes am I going to have to bake for the husband to balance out the UPS boxes that will show up here next week LOL? The shows today were just fantastic, and the clothes “over the moon”. Photos and sneak peeks are indispensable; the flow and drape of the clothes on live models … priceless. THANK YOU BOTH!

    Cathy in PA

      1. Cathy in PA

For sure! The one garment I crossed off my list early on was the Striped Cardigan … until Leah showed up onstage … Walter happened to walk in the room and said “oh, that’s sharp”, and he doesn’t usually like BOLD … I got the Blue, the Bamboo, and of course the one Leah had on; along with Denims and more. I was celebrating a bit, as the growth removed from our beloved dog Reffi’s eyelid was benign and healing so well 🙂 Tomorrow, in the snow, Walter shall get his first cake installment … if there’s a LOT of snow here, maybe cinnamon sticky buns instead 🙂 Be safe in the storm, everyone.

THANKS to you and Jac both! Cathy in PA

P.S. So glad the bag was found … our funniest “left behind” story was the day we went to my parents to pick up our daughter, and left our BIG, quiet dog behind 🙂 If we’d left our daughter behind, no phone call … for the dog we got a phone call LOL.

    Louis,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your bodysuits. No one makes them like you do — from the fabric, to the fit. Will you please make more in the future in a larger choice of colors (turquoise, iris, bamboo)?

Hi Louis, enjoying the shows today! Sophia Loren eat your heart out! I got it in black. I need to know when the WK on line items will be up? v neck and mock tanks? I am loving all the color choices! thank you

  62. Loren

Waiting not so patiently to see the first show! So excited with all the colors.
Just a reminder all you CANADIAN ladies. I am willing to be the middleman for your QVC orders. You ship to me, I repackage and send off to you. I missed it but I know shopper Susan in Ontario wrote in with her experience. I was able to ship 12 pieces to her (at actual cost of the UPS – no markups) that added around $3 a piece to the purchase price. Well worth the little extra cost to have Linea in your wardrobe. lorencastleman@yahoo.com Happy Shopping. Can’t wait to see the sweater sets and that Polka dot blouse!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Loren…….it is so unbelievably nice of you to do this for the Canadian Linea Ladies!

      1. Seka

It worked perfectly – no problems whatsoever! Have ordered 3 more items that Loren has already received – and I ordered my 8 must-have items at midnight!

When I add up my costs and divide by the items (first order was 12 items) – I cannot buy clothing from anyone either in Canada or the U.S. that is of the calibre of Linea for that price per piece.

        Thank you Loren!

WIll be watching your Shows today, Louis – always love to see what Jac is wearing!

        Susan (a.k.a. Seka)

Not only that great generosity, Loren is wonderful to correspond with- a kindred spirit!

Louis, I am so happy to hear that you will be bringing the boho in navy this spring. I have your bohos in so many colors and they are my basics for the summertime (and beyond). I’m just wondering if you will be bringing additional colors. I can never have too many of your bohos. As Lisa Robertson would say…LOVE LOVE LOVE! (and love YOU too)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

WHITE is also coming………it is the same white as the crinkle georgette safari shirt.

      1. Carol

Wonderful news about the bohos! I adore the crinkle safari shirt–hoping you get to sell 30,000 of those, too.

    Louis,

I just wanted to thank you for the “sneak peeks” you give us. I know it must be so much extra work for you. I appreciate it, as it helps me so much in making my selections.

  65. Donna Snell

Hi Louis. I want to start by saying I love your clothes and jewelry. I own tons and get lots of compliments when I wear your items, which is almost daily 🙂 I am writing you about the chain link necklace. While I love it, the gold is wearing off and the plastic bag it came in is turning yellow from the gold dust. It also has an awful metalic smell. Is there anywhere I can send it to get it repaired? I really love it and want to continue wearing it for a long time.

    I appreciate your help.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna , Absolutely…..you can send it to my manufacturer in R.I and they will replace it for you. I am in PA right now , so when I get home I will give you all the info.

        1. Donna Snell

          That is great also 🙂

      1. Donna Snell

        Thank you!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Donna,
Here is the information. Mail the bracelet to the following address and at the bottom of the envelope send it to “The Repair Department”. In a brief letter state you purchased this bracelet from QVC and the plating is coming off. Send your name, address, phone number and e-mail address [optional].

          Address:
          TCJC LLC
          400 Broad Street
          Central Falls, R.I. 02863
          Repair Department

They are a very reputable company and make a fine product. When it comes to plating….this can happen, so they would be very happy to re-plate it for you, but it will take time.

          1. Donna Snell

Thank you! I really appreciate it! I have patience as I love the necklace that much 🙂
