    Hi Louis,
I am also interested in the water color in blues.
i looked at the ombre sizing & looked pretty good (although no waist measurement given) but is this is also like a swing bottom?

Being navy is on the bottom – I assume it it denim friendly also????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It is a swing bottom so there isn’t a waist. The shoulder and bust measurement are the only ones you need look at.. I haven’t tried it with denim, but I would think any of them could go with denim.

    THE $64,000 QUESTION

    Dear Louis,

I regret to put you on the spot, but because your new watercolor print tops appear to be wildly popular, I am going to ask your suggestion for sizing: Stay with our usual size or move up or down? I ask this question in light of a recent experience I had with your lovely embroidered tunic (A253384). I first ordered it in my usual size Large in the Wisteria/Turquoise combo. Loving it as I did, I went back for another in the Black/Khaki coloration, again in Large.

After the Black/Khaki arrived, I immediately tried it on. It was a bit snug as I slipped it over my shoulders, but doggone if I didn’t look really svelte and sweet in it (excuse the egotistical remark, but it did look very nice in that size). When I removed the top, I saw that it was a Small. Not knowing which size I really wanted, I requested a replacement in Large. I’m now not liking myself as much in the Large. Returning it for a Medium.

So, the $64,000 Question is this: Stay true to size in the watercolor tops because it runs a bit small, or go down a size, up a size? Sorry to put you in this terrible position, but I don’t want to be left without one of each of these new tops.

    1. Goldie76

To be clear, the first Black/Khaki I received was a Small. I explained it a bit too late in my account. My second one received was a Large, but I like myself better in the Small, to tell the truth, even though it was too snug for me across the shoulders. I think Medium is the answer to that particular question. It’s the right sizing for the watercolor tops that is making me fret now.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie…the emb top is a woven so the comparison to this print top isn’t a good one. I think you should be fine in the med…but check the shoulder and bust measurements as soon a s it is posted before the show. Don’t worry, I doubt it will sell out before the show so you will have time to assess the fit.

        1. Goldie76

Thanks, Louis. Your latest “baby” is beautiful. Maybe you should call it “Charlotte Elizabeth Diana,” after the new royal infant?

I’ll go with Medium on the watercolor print.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

            Is that her official name?

            1. Goldie76

Yes. Announced it this morning. I very much like the infant’s name. “Charlotte” is a nod to Charles, and the remaining names directly honor the Queen and the late princess. Because of the acknowledgement of Charles, I am now wondering if Kate has decided not to get pregnant again (she does have early-pregnancy difficulties, so maybe she has been advised not to), or she will let fate bring what it may, but she has nicely covered the honoring of close or deceased relatives. The next one can be “Tracy” or whatever :-).

            2. Victoria1

Actually Charlotte is Pippa’s ( Katherine’s sister)Christian name and new Princess is named For her, not for her grandfather HRH Charles or so they said on BBC

            3. Victoria1

Apologies Goldie76…watching CBS this Morning and they confirm both of us, but your initial statement new Princess is named after HRH Prince Charles is TRUE…Charlotte is feminine of Charles, but also Pippa’s middle name is Charlotte…so they made a lot of people happy with her beautiful name Charlotte Elizabeth Diana

  3. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Good morning Louis, any word at this point as to when the wing collar blouse might be coming back in stock? And I THOUGHT I remember you saying it might also be coming back in new colors, is that correct?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The shirt is due in Aug…….White and Pale Blue are returning and the new color is a Pale Tan…… A Brooks Brothers men’s shirting color. It’s great on its’ own, and great for layering and works with every color.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

OK. I’m on board 😉 I’ve learned over the years that my Linea pieces are well worth waiting for.

      2. Happy Lady

OH, thank you. I love this shirt and Pale Tan will be sensational. My favorite look is a crisp shirt in any color. This will fly out the door as usual. Sure would love French cuffs!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

A very special tunic shirt will be coming this fall for the Holidays with French cuffs…..I hope you like it. It would be perfect with leggings or a short pencil skirt.

          1. Happy Lady

Thank You!! Thank You!! I won’t bug you for details…I’ll be patient and look forward to a Holiday surprise. YIPPEE!!

  4. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi Louis,

The watercolor print is gorgeous! Has my name written all over it. Peacock! Couple of questions:

Are you able to give us a few more measurements than just the length in the sneak peaks? Before I can purchase, I need to know at least the chest measurement, sweep, and neck measurement as well as length. I used to order med and lrg and return what didn’t fit, but this is not good for either of us.

Also, will you give me a quick description of a ballet neck please? I can’t wear boatneck or batteau — slender shoulders…bra straps showing — but usually can wear anything else. From the SP pics, I’m thinking a ballet neck is between a boatneck/batteau and, say, a crew…?

Thanks, Louis, and I hope you and Jac are having a great day!

    Madame

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I do not have other measurements other than the sample I have which is xxs. A ballet neck is not as wide as a boat neck. It is a very popular neckline….a little more open than a crew, and very feminine. it should be fine for you

      1. MadameDuFiffers

Thx, Louis. Darn it about the measurements…here’s hoping the top will be posted on Q prior to your shows on the 15th with the “click here” measurements so I might have a better chance of getting it! I may not be able to rearrange my schedule to catch either show 🙁

This top is causing quite a buzz on the forums!

        Madame

  5. nikki

Louis, I recently got the new black lace cardigan. It is stunning. I am planning to wear it to a semi formal event with black whispher knit skirt. I wanted to know if I should wear the lace tights? or even the herringbone? Too much? and what jewelry. Thankyou for your input

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki…..first, I would not recommend the fancy tights with the lace sweater, because I think they would overpower the lace of the sweater. I would recommend eith sheer black for a more dramatic look, sheer nude as a “”makeup” for the leg or bare legs. Of course it does matter what shoes you plan to wear. For jewelry I would recommend the J291535 the glass faceted bead necklace in jet and clear worn together or two black jet……or mix in the J284043. Other pieces that would look great depending on your style are J231711 in the silver, J317115, J291538….. For the wrist J271864 in silver, or J317113 in silver…or two of the J284044…. Let me know what you decide…….I think with the black you need some bling to dress it up. How much or how spare is up to you and what you can carry.

      1. Lyn

I ordered the black lace cardigan also, and plan to wear it to a semi formal event with your flowy black wide-leg pants. Thanks for the necklace suggestions. I already own J291535 in black and in clear crystal. I can’t wear anything heavy on my neck, so I’ll try both together. If I can only wear one, do you suggest the black or the clear crystal? I’ll wear a black Whisper Knit tank under the cardigan. Should I wear the cardigan completely zipped up or partially open at the top?

By the way, I ordered (and received) the white lace cardigan, and I love it. After viewing Jac’s Facebook page showing her wearing the pink version, I had to order that also. (Here I intended to only order one lace cardigan!)

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lyn……whether you go with the clear or jet is up to you and how you feel that day…also what earring do you want to wear or bracelets may decide the rest. As for how you should zip it….that’s the beauty of a double zip. You can unzip them both to the neck and creat a sort of fly away effect, or unzip them to the waist from top and bottom and have a more waist defining look or zip one almost to the neck and the other unzipped almost or to the waist for anothe effect. You’ll want to see which way allows the necklace/ necklaces to lay nicely.

  6. Goldie76

Glad to see your PC revamp went well, Louis. Is there any possibility the School of Fish necklace will be up for sale before Mother’s Day? Thanks so much!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Actually Goldie…my brother, who was setting it up for me, hit a glitch and I had to call my geek to come in today, so for now I’m using my IPad……I doubt very much the necklace will be posted for MD….everything is very slow when it’s not an item scheduled for a show. These items get low priority for processing, but it should be posted by Memorial Day……LOL

      1. Goldie76

Thank you, Louis, for the quick response from your IPad. Hope all gets resolved. Gotta love those geeks! Memorial Day will be perfect, too.

      2. Jane J.

That’s so disappointing. A full month of stalking since we never know when it will be posted. Don’t want to miss it!

  7. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, thank you for the reminder about the WK open front cardi in butter yellow. I’ve ordered it. And while watching the online video of that item I remembered that there was also the v-neck WK short sleeve in the butter yellow and I ordered that as well. Gotta get my butter when I can 😉

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….so glad you found the V neck tank…I forgot about it. It’s a wonderful soft color that is flattering on many. I’m surprised it hasn’t done better since it was a requested color. I love the yellow worn with dark wood accessories and tan (chino) bottoms as well as coffee bean, white/Ivory, navy and gray even the Hunter Green WK pants in the fall. What were you thinking as far as bottoms?

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Oh I’m having a lot of fun mentally playing around with the longer length Navy Linea Leisure pencil-like skirt – or the Black. And of course the butter yellow is beautiful with several of the softer colored bohos and Ivory pleated skirt. I’m copying down your suggestions because the Tan and the Hunter Green – both of which I have – would not have been my first choice in a pair up but will be so beautiful I’ll try it! I don’t actually have any wood accessories but will keep eyes peeled for such. And I DO have a nice Deep dark brown skirt you put out several years ago. And I DID love the way you dressed blonde model Jacquie a couple of shows ago in the open-front butter yellow cardi on top of the butter yellow shirt. Pure YUM!!!!

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

And I also absolutely LOVE my 100% cotton nautical knot buttoned butter yellow cardi with stand collar from 2009 ~ A00140. I have that same cardi in Linea dark navy and in Ivory and reach for them often. But especially the butter 🙂

          1. Grits

Would LOVE to see this return!

  8. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Butter Yellow: Louis is there anything coming in the pipeline this season or next in the butter yellow? Of course I purchased the mockneck sleeveless WK top as well as the butter yellow shirt. Anything in cardigans, or in a jacket….she asked hopefully 😉 Hope the computer change-over went well!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The open front cardigan is in butter and that’s it.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Thanks Louis! I find I can hardly get enough butter yellow as well as perfectly pink 🙂 I AM loving the yellow in the zip front milano though!

  9. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
I am so excited that you put the A254439 Asymmetrical tank with the Moss crepe skirt.
I own both & hadn’t thought to put together. Love the Look.

ALSO, I know you are making this top for fall. Will it have a SCOOP neck also and long or 3/4 sleeves?

    Thanks again,

    1. NJlady

      Hi Louis,
Didn’t know if you realized, but I also asked a question – Thanks

      Hope the computer gets fixed

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

So sorry…I honestly didn’t see it….must be something wrong with my eyes!….the top you are asking about has a scoop neck, not too deep, and long sleeves.

        1. NJlady

          Hooray – Thank You
          Love Scoop Necks
Guess we will see it around September?

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

            Actually…..November

  10. FreddieMac

    Dear Louis,
I have noticed that you sometimes show the models in sneakers with your more casual garments. You might be interested in knowing about a line of sneakers for men and women called BucketFeet (www.bucketfeet.com)that is designed by different artists from around the world. I have absolutely no connection with this company other than as a satisfied customer. The sneakers come in lace-up and slip-on styles and the patterns are delightful. The artists get a percentage of the sales which is why I am spreading the word. Also, the sneakers are very well made and quite comfortably padded so that even a person with terrible feet like me can wear them. You might check them out as possible accessories for your wonderful clothing. PS: the lace sleeve sweater is gorgeous. I just received the white and love it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear FreddieMac,Thanks for the heads up to everyone! I wish I had known about this before I bought all the sneakers I have. If I buy one more pair I think Jac will have my head…LOL, but we always like to support artists so I will give them a look see for my own personal use.

  11. kate

Lovely in lace! LDO, the new cardigan is TDF. Got black, off to snag a white. Love that its not boxy too!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Music to my ears….so happy you love it….Where are you these days? Boston? N.Y. ? LA????

      1. Kate

Shuttling between LA and NYC. So garments like this cardigan save my bacon on both coasts!

ANOTHER COLOR SUGGESTION FOR A WHISPER KNIT SKIRT:

    Dear Louis,

In addition to an Ivory, I was thinking that a Brick Red would be an excellent shade. I know we had the jacket/skirt in another fabric in that shade, but I believe that Brick Red is a soophisticated, nuanced red (unlike Ruby Red, which I do love) and that it might lend itself well to a Whisper Knit skirt. We have our lovely Whisper Knit sweaters in Brick Red that would make for some wonderful outfits. I hope you consider this suggestion. Thank you.

    1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Goldie, I hope you do not mind my piggy-backing on your post. I have been hoping for a long time for a dark Linea Navy longer length WK pencil skirt. Anything from 27″ to mid-calf for me. I love the notion of a brick or ruby red pencil skirt, and a non-see-through white or ivory pencil skirt as well. I did a little spring cleaning in a closet this morning and am taking all of my older “straight” skirts to Good Will. Once you’ve worn the WK pencil skirt or mid-calf skirt – which gives in all and any direction and has no problem bouncing right back to the original clean and wonderfully slimming lines – it’s hard to wear anything else in its place. Just too uncomfortable, wrinkle-prone and constricting if it is not Linea WK!

      1. Goldie76

Nancy, believe me, I am happy to have additional endorsements for more Whisper Knit skirts. How perfectly you expressed all their positive points! You hit the proverbial nail on the head. For the reasons you cited, I ignore all my other pencil skirts when it comes time to wear a straight-line skirt. Whisper Knit skirts are winners. I hope we continue to receive more of them in additional colors. At one time, Louis mentioned some lingering inventory. How can that be?

      2. Grace

TheOwl, I also have a navy long length WK skirt on my wish list. I have the mid-calf WK in black & wear it nonstop practically, so having the same skirt in navy & charcoal would be ideal. I agree–there’s nothing quite like the wearability of a WK skirt. Hoping Louis will consider these options and make the navy skirt happen for us. Pretty please, Louis?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear grace and all…..it is very difficult for me to ask the buyers to buy more WK skirts when there are so many still in inventory. I can’t expect them to buy more navy skirts, even in a longer length, when there are navy skirts still in inventory.

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Hope springs eternal, Louis 🙂 Thanks for all you keep on doing for us Whisper Knit Hounds!

          2. Goldie76

But an Ivory at holiday time, along with a Brick Red — what could be the harm? Still begging here… Could we have those two and no more for a long, long while?

I am disappointed, to say the least, but I thought I recalled your writing that there were WK skirts aplenty in inventory. This age of pants and leisure wear is getting to me. Really, I appreciate all that you bring to us. Realize I’m being pushy, but the Ivory and Brick Red seem, to me, to be perfection for an appearance at holiday time.

            1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Louis – I am weighing in on the skirt conversation. I agree with the ladies that your pencil skirts, made in fabrics that give and don’t wrinkle, are the bomb! I love them in WK, your polyspan, your cotton/span, the rayon/span, the moss crepe, the feather jersey – and wear them constantly in the summer. I didn’t wear them in the winter until you brought us those fabulous tights. I only have 1 comfortable white skirt in my wardrobe, and it is the cotton/span drawstring skirt. I love it, but it is in need of a replacement. The denim skirt from a few seasons back in white is great too, but I don’t reach for it to travel as much as the other because it wrinkles a little. When I think of a white whisper knit skirt, I don’t think I would wear it much in the fall and winter months. And I think in order to make it not see-through, it might be too hot for the spring/summer months. I think for white, you could take the pattern for the long cotton/span skirt from this season and simply shorten it – no drawstring, no pockets – just simple, slimming, cool, stretchy, and minimal wrinkles.
Then, for those of us with a wee bit of extra weight, make sure to offer a top that can be worn over the new white skirt to hide any lumps/bumps that tend to be more easily seen in white. Just my 2 cents – hope that helps!

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Susan….are you a marketer by any chance? LOL…good idea

  13. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, would you please advise? I am wondering what the best way to store my whisper knit mid-calf skirts would be for the hot season. Would you 1)hang them – I haven’t ever done that with these skirts 2) lay them flat out some way 3) roll them up and put them in a drawer? I don’t want to do anything that will create permanent wrinkles or creases or stretch them out of shape. I HAVE kept all of my WK pencil skirts on hangers and admit there has been no problem with them… thoughts?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….I would suggest these alternatives….it really depends on the room you have: You could hang….folded over a hanger with a piece of tissue so there is no friction.I would not suggest hanging from clips….they may get longer, but i have done it with my sample skirts and they seem to be OK….I would never do it with WK pants. You can fold in half again with a piece of tissue and store in a container. I store all of my samples in large plastic containers from the “Container Store”, or carefully roll them again with tissue. You would lay the skirt flat on your bed, lay the tissue on top and roll from the top of the skirt down…..All of these work.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Heartfelt thanks Louis!!! I really love these skirts and have doubles on the black and want to take very good care of them. I’m passionate about the WK pants and would never hang them either. I will follow your care suggestions to the letter!

  14. NJlady

I just came back from an outing & wore your ponte slim leggings (fit perfectly) and wore the anorak jacket.
My husband said how nice it looked & I said it was from my favorite designer. Thank You for all you do

  15. Elaine

Hello Louis, today I wore your purple and black zebra trench coat, think it’s from 6 seasons ago…still looks brand new. I had no less than 5 compliments about the jacket. Looking forward to seeing you next week.
    Thank you! Hi to Jac.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Elaine….there will be something new in Zebra this fall….Sept/Oct.

      1. Elaine

Count me in…..I remembering your writing about that in a previous post. Thank you very much.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

That was something else! There are two Zebra items coming.

    2. queendiva

I have it in the brown from when it was first offered, That jacket is forever!

  16. Shari

    Louis
Will the Boho skirt ever come back in the white White??

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I honestly don’t know if it will be reordered.

  17. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Will there ever be Whisper Knit Turtlenecks in Walnut, Stone, and Perfectly Pink? I really could use all of them.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      i”ll keep it in mind

    2. Grace

Same colors for me, plus the mallard blue or a grey/blue.

  18. Kathy/Wis

    Louis
Will the hammered link necklace be reordered?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No….that sold out and has been discontinued.

  19. Judy

I don’t mean to bug you, I have asked several times for an oversized, long sleeve, shirttail hem shirt in your wonderful shirt fabric. I would love to see one in white, perfectly pink and navy. For those of us that wear our jeans year round it would be a staple in our wardrobe. Please consider this. I live in my poet shirts and own them in every color. I’m sure my friends and family would love to see me in a new top! Love your designs and thank you for all you do!

    1. Lyn

I second this request from Judy. Will you be able to create an oversized long-sleeve, shirttail hem shirt in your shirt fabric? Other designers have done this, but we really want one from Linea!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have submitted sketches but shirts like the poet shirt haven’t been closed, but I do have two tunic shirts coming this fall.

  20. Debbie M.

    Dear Louis,

What do you think of the magenta lace cardi with the magenta dress? Too much?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie, since i don’t have those samples any longer I really can’t answer that. It could look either really unique and fabulous…..or really bad, but I would guess you thought that already too.

  21. linda

what are the tanks under the new sweater with the lace sleeves ?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Linda…..Since i don’t know which color/colors you are asking about this is my rundown. First there is nothing in Perfectly Pink avail as of now. I will offer something next spring, but that’s a long wait. What is avail. in the P.Pink is the safari shirt with the matching Faux de Chine tank which is a good match and offers you something very light for the summer. For the white, A233942, the V-neck tank, A255153 the Twofer in white [this is the only true scoop neck tank avail, and it’s the same body as the A237404 {avail. in Ivory only}]. I also love the sleeveless Mock Neck, A233947….it’s very dramatic…..and last but not least is A253408, the ENR tank, but it’s only avail in XL. This is a very special tank, and quite frankly I’m surprised it’s still avail in any of the colors. As for black All of the above work. You may already own some of these, and if you own any WK in P.Pink they all work with the pink Cardi.

  22. Soldout

    Hi Louis:

Is it possible, perhaps for next year to have an ivory or white skirt in the WK? The fit on the WK skirts is so distinct from the fabric skirts and I find it flatters a wide range of figure types. I do have a “Head to Toe” WK outfit in the “Stone” color (pencil skirt, the long sleeve swing top and patterned stockings) which you showed in the skirt and top presentations. Love, love, love.

    Best,

    Soldout

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am working on a white WK skirt, we are trying a few things because it can’t be see through.

      1. Merrylass

Could we also have a WK skirt in perfectly pink too, pretty please? It would be stunning with the perfectly pink cardigan with lace sleeves. Sorry for my greedy eagerness for more but your pieces are irresistible!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If we can get them where they aren’t see through.

          1. Goldie76

I would very much like a white WK skirt. (Once again, a sentiment I thought would never be expressed by me. Gasp! White knit on “moi!” Hope it can be done.)

        2. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Ditto to the White, Ivory, and Perfectly Pink Whisper Knit Skirts.

          1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Oh, and while we are all asking, . . . could we get a Whisper Knit skirt (and cardigan, shell, etc) in in a light silver grey? Frankly, I would really love to have ANYTHING in that color.

  23. Merrylass

I am waiting for the Lace Jacket with Trim Detail (A223652) in navy and in perfectly pink. Do you know when these new colours will be available? Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The beginning of June. My show is June 4th, but since they are reorders as soon as they are processed they will list them….so maybe late May…..I’ll push!!

      1. Merrylass

Wonderful timing – it will give my wallet some time to recover from my recent over-indulgence! I could not resist the striped cardigans (in 3 colours), the striped French sailor sweaters, and the cardigans with lace sleeves … Louis dell’Olio is bad for my resolution to NOT buy clothes this year!

  24. nicklaus1

lace cardigan is up on QVC to order.

A263357 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Lace Sleeve Zip Front Cardigan

    1. Merrylass

YIPPEE! Purchased all 3 colours for me and both the black and white for my mother. I look forward to receiving these beautiful pieces!!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Merrylass….is that going to be a Mother’s Day present?

        1. Merrylass

Yes, it will be part of her Mother’s Day present – I always give Mom a gift certificate at one of her favorite stores but include a pretty outfit so she will have something to open. I have purchased whisper knit skirts and plan to purchase whisper knit tanks as part of the gift. I think my mother will be very pleased.

Of course my dog always gives his grandmother (my mother) a piece of jewelry.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think you should take a look at the Twofer in white WK. it is a tank and a V neck short sleeve.

            1. Merrylass

              Great idea! Thank you!

  25. Mary

    Louis,
I’m interested in the moss crepe skirt (A262454) but need it longer than the 22.75″ as stated in the “click here” measurements. Is there any room to let the hem down about 2″? I have had this done to skirts in the past-sometimes adding lace if there isn’t enough fabric for a decent hem width. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary , there is not a big hem in the skirt so you would have to add lace or a georgette if you want it less dressy.

      1. Mary

        Louis,
Thanks for your response. I appreciate being able to ask you directly. Looking forward to your upcoming visit to the Q.
        Mary

  26. Soldout

    Hi Louis:

Will you be showing any ivory or white skirts this year? I do have a “Head to Toe” WK outfit in the “Stone” color (pencil skirt, the long sleeve swing top and patterned stockings) which you showed in the skirt and top presentations. Love, love, love.

    Best,

    Soldout

  27. Lee in Minnesota

Any chance you and QVC buyers will bring back A213617, the menswear shirt? I wore my white one today (thankfully I have a few) and was reminded of how much I love it as well as how comfortable and crisp it looks. Thank you for your consideration!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That was called the “Robyn” shirt, and it hasn’t been reordered as is….but there are many ways to skin the cat [dreadful expression], but I will have new versions coming for fall and next spring….in different types of fabric for fall and the same cotton for next spring.

      1. Grits

Yippee!!! I’m thrilled to hear this news. I love all my Robyn’s. Thank you, Louis!

  28. Writer with Flair (Patti)

    Dear Louis,

Will the Sleeveless Tank Tunic (A254439) ever come in white? I’d like to wear it under my white Assymetric Hem Button Front Tunic w/ Collar (A233187) and over some navy pants with white dots I already have.

    Thanks for considering it,

    Patti

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti….that top in white can not be done because of see through. If you recall the V-neck tank bodysuit I did in the same fabric…..the entire body was doubled to prevent see through. Since it would cost more to double the top. I would have to create a whole new style just so we can do it in white…..which I will think about for the future.

      1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Thanks, Louis, for explaining that to me. I had forgotten about the see-through thing.

  29. Wendy/DE

    Dear Louis,
Been visiting hubby daily in the hospital and have been wearing Linea almost exclusively. Have gotten lots of compliments especially on the peony pink number! I consider them my Linea hugs while I’m going through this time. Thanks for all you do!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m happy my clothes are giving you some comfort…..a hug is the best medicine. I know how draining sitting in a hospital can be.

      1. Wendy/DE

Good news! Hubby is awake and breathing on his own!! Happy dance! And the white lace cardigan is up for sale. Best day ever!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Wendy….that is GREAT NEWS! Jac and I will keep you and your huband in our prayers.

          1. Wendy/DE

Thanks, Louis. You and Jac are so special!

  30. Happy Lady

Hi Louis, Question: A254439 asymmetrical top. I am going to order in Charcoal. I remember seeing Jac model as a sneak peek…do you remember what show or what she wore with? I would like to see the video. If you don’t have that info that’s ok I’ll just have to look at bottoms and maybe find that way. Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t think she was wearing the gray, but I’ve done so many shows I'[m not even sure. I know she wore the black and navy with the jean jacket and denim vest.

      1. Happy Lady

That’s probably what I’m remembering. I’ll search. The video icon shows with item number A254439 but there isn’t one. Thanks.

  31. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
I just received the A254439 – Asymmetrical grey tunic top – it is so dark – almost black
Hard time finding what color bottom to wear with it. All my greys are lighter and wrong tone. What are you showing to wear with this color?
    Thanks for the help

You also said you were coming out with a long sleeve version for fall – will it be with a scoop neck also?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJLady…..I like a lighter grey bottom with the tunic. My Heather ponte grey bottoms [not much lighter], and Feather Jersey grey bottoms look great with it. Also, if you have the Linea Body legging in the dark grey, it’s a perfect match. The WK grey skirt A237412, and the grey pant A253576 all work. I realize it’s a very dark grey but it is much softer than black, which some have a hard time wearing. I will be showing the entire suite of GM Palm Frond jewelry with it, but anything in GM or silver will look great. In the summer I love it with white and silver.

  32. Carol

Just finished my reviews for my latest Linea loot. Every single piece was a great fit, even though I had to really do some head scratching over the numbered sizes for the zig zag pieces. I guessed correctly, and I am just over the moon for them. Thank you for these beautiful pieces. Also love the striped cardigan, the wk tunic, and the Fr. sailor sweater. Looking forward to see what’s still ahead. Hope to see some pebble crepe show up–they’re my summer favorites.

    crdlb

    1. MadameDuFiffers

I’m with Carol! Pebble crepe for summer = my favorite. I daydream about an elbow or 3/4 sleeve V-neck pullover with the WK swing sweater silhouette. Throw it on (no need for an underpinning YAY), add some jewelry and go! Sigh! Please, Louis, please tell us there will be more pebble crepe items.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear MDu….there aren’t any planned for this spring, but I have many sketches for next spring.

        1. Carol

Tell you buyer the natives are restless! We need our pebble crepe! I think it’s been long enough since their last appearance that a pair of long pants is needed. Really need navy and black.

          crdlb

          1. Susan (aka carlytwila)

I agree with Carol….navy and black long pants would be fantastic!

        2. MadameDuFiffers

Picture me doing the happy dance! And hoping Q will approve your sketches!! Thanks, Louis, and have a great day.

  33. Beano

Just wanted to tell you that I am wearing the blue enamel and gold square links bracelet that you designed long ago and that I found on Ebay (along with the necklace and earrings)with the blue denim peplum suit. It’s such a great match you could have designed them together.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sounds beautiful….what site did you find it on?

      1. Beano

EBay. They always notify me when a piece of yours is available.

      2. Beano

EBay always notifies me when a piece of yours becomes available.

  34. Deborah (a.k.a. Diamondscribe)

Louis, I just finished leaving reviews for the new 3/4 sleeve denim jacket and the denim capris. I can’t get enough of you denim. It is such a sturdy, durable, easy-wash fabric. I have the jackets in 2 colors and have the 3rd waitlisted. I have both colors in the capris and hope it reviews well-enough to get re-ordered in the bleached denim you did in the corset denim jacket. I tried in my reviews to recommend the other items in this group, but neither A265539 or A265536 would pull up in the search tool for “other recommendations”. In both cases, it said “Sorry, there are no matches”. I wanted to let you know, because it would be a boost to sales if your Linea Ladies reviewing these items, could recommend it’s coordinating piece. Also, they did not put “denim” in the capris pant title, so if one does a keyword search with “linea denim”, the capris do not show up. I’d recommend letting tech know this. How selfish of me, LOL…I want these to sell well and see reorders! Both are great!

  35. Kathy/Wis

    Hello Louis
Just wanted to tell you that I ordered the red/navy and navy/ivory sailor sweaters and the navy/green cardigan, they are all winners! I wore the red/navy out with hubby Friday night with jeans he thought I looked hot and then I got a compliment right away from a young guy! Makes a girls day, and I’m not that young anymore.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….that sounds good to me! I’m very happy you have a husband who appreciates you!….and the young stranger’s not bad either!….LOL…..Please don’t forget to leave your reviews on the Linea site and Forum….I would appreciate it very much….

      1. Kathy/Wis

        Already done.

  36. Melissa

    Louis,

I ordered the Linea Leisure black hoodie A262064 awhile back in the XXS. Love it – nice and fitted, not too sloppy. Now I want the peony pink, but the smallest available is an XS. I do often find myself between an XXS or XS, so the XS might work. Do you anticipate any more stock of these coming in or should I give the XS a shot?

Also, did you once say the hoodie would be coming in white? Did I miss it or maybe I am thinking of the LL button front knit jacket.

Thanks for your time and your wonderful clothes. 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Melissa, there isn’t any additional stock coming in for the year. The Aqua was the additional color. I recommend the Aqua very much. It is one of my favorite colors and one of my most popular colors. Frankly I’m surprised it’s still around. I think the xs in the Pink should be fine. It will still have a nice shape, but it will just be easier. I give Jac the xs, and Chantal who has very wide shoulders the xs.

      1. Melissa

Thank you so much for the prompt reply Louis. I’m going to get the Peony XS and the Aqua too. I recently got the aqua denim vest – it is such a gorgeous color.

I started acquiring your pieces about a year ago so have missed out on a lot of things (have acquired a lot of great things too – the safari shirts are a staple of mine), but I was glad to hear you were going to bring the aqua back in more WK items in the future.

Side note: I also got the denim vest in white and yellow. I don’t typically wear yellows, they are tricky for me, but when I wore it I got several compliments. It’s a great yellow. You know your colors!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Melissa. I know you will be happy with the Aqua, and I’m pretty sure the peony pink will work too. A trick….when you buy a color that may be a challenge, layer it with a color you know will work, so the color isn’t at your face….ivory or white are the most obvious but turquoise, and all blues work with yellow.

  37. Virginia

    Hi Louis
I would like to ask if the short sleeve dress with pockets item #A254472 will be available this spring or summer in new colors or perhaps in an elbow or 3/4 sleeve length. I love this dress and have it in every color that was offered last year. It is perfect for my height & body type. As well as easy care & easy wear, I found it to be much more versatile than I ever imagined. I even purchased a second in a few of the colors to have backups. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Virginia, sorry to say that dress has not been reordered.

  38. Sharon L

The knit crop leggings stock has been replenished. As Louis indicated, now available in black, charcoal and navy. Yeah!

  39. new york karan

I have a fashion question. I have a perfectly pink boho skirt and (A69921) the pink Stretch Sateen Blazer, but I do not have a pink tank or sweater to go with these pieces. What other color tank/sweater would be suitable for this outfit?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Question….do you have the P. Pink Crinkle georgette safari shirt that comes with the pink tank? that will work….otherwise white or ivory are best. A dark color like navy would work in a tank, but you would have to lighten it up with a necklace like the signature gold charm necklace with the pink beads. You could wear a pastel but you have to be careful it doesn’t get to sweet gooey if you know what I mean. Them you would have to do the opposite of what I said to do with the navy, and wear stronger jewelry….I also have a fabulous statement necklace coming next month in pink. It has two rows of satin finish gold beads with large teardrop shaped Pink “Beach Glass” beads…..that with an ivory or white tank would look fabulous. The tanks on their own will look boring…..you need to spice it up with accessories.

      1. new york karan

Thank you so much for the wonderful fashion advice. It gives me a variety of ways to use my skirt and jacket. Can you believe that today a P. Pink Crinkle georgette safari shirt came available in my size? Perfect(ly pink) timing. Thanks again

      2. Anonymous

OMG, that necklace sounds divine. Is it coming in any other color besides pink?

        crdlb

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Aqua.

          1. Maia

Aqua’s my favorite beach glass color. Can’t wait!

          2. Carol

I have a few vintage AK faux beach glass pieces, so I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be making some new ones. Got mine on ebay, but they are scarce as hen’s teeth.

            crdlb

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are in the trial stage for next spring….the first samples came out too expensive…..so we’ll try again.

  40. DeLois

Louis, I ordered seven items from your last show, loving everything. My problem is the sizing on the sport items. In particular I ordered a M which is my normal size in the white knit pants and they were perfect. Took a chance on the long white cardigan to match and I have to send it back…… way to snug. Why did the sizing have to change on these sporty items???? I am still wondering what size to order….. have reordered the cardigan in a L but it is on wait list. With the lace trim jacket coming in May, I don’t want to make a mistake again……do you have any suggestions??????? Why do the pants fit perfectly and not the jacket? It all involves the mid-section of the body,

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear DeLois, The LL pant is the normal Linea fit. For some reason “they wanted the LL jackets to have a more B&M fit. I told them I thought it would be confusing for all of a sudden to fit the jackets smaller. In my sneak peeks of the two LL jackets I did make a point of this. They wanted a younger trimmer fit. There are many women who like the tighter fit a la LuluLemon. If you found it snug you just need to size it up one size and it should be fine. Going forward with LL jackets I will again make a point about the fit.

  41. BCM

    Hi Louis,

Will your beautiful sheer tights in nude, black and smoke be reordered in size B? It seems like size B is the biggest seller.Thank you for all you design for us.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bmc, as of now they have not

      1. BCM

I hope that changes, Ladies have any of you sized up to size C due to B being out of stock? Did they fit?

  42. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
A few months ago – I ordered the A254439 in a grey – They said it was back ordered & then cancelled
It is the asymmetrical knit tunic scoop neck top. Is it reordered in grey? if so, when

Also – thought you were coming out with that in a long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve
    love the scoop neck
    Please let me know
    Thanks Again

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NJLady, the tank tunic will be avail in May….black and the new navy and gray. There is a long sleeve version coming for fall.

    2. NJlady

      GREAT
      Can’t wait – super top
Hope the long sleeve has a scoop neck also – same material?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

        Yes, same rayon jersey

  43. MadameDuFiffers

I woke up this morning and, lo and behold, I am Queen for a Day! My very first proclamation is: “Send for the best designer in all the land. I hereby commission him to make the swing sweater in pebbled crepe for summer, v-neck, elbow or bracelet sleeve, in white white, peony pink, and a bright teal to go with my royal gray hair. I expect this to be prepared for me BEFORE summer ends! Make it so!” Bells rang out, my subjects ran hither and yon to make my wish a reality in record time, the best designer in the land was pleased and…and…and then I actually really woke up! Any chance the (almost) exact swing sweater silhouette will be translated into a summer top??
    Madame

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There are tunic tops coming in prints, not exactly like the sweater, as that was a sweater and the new ones are fabric…..different manufacturing.

      1. MadameDuFiffers

Thank you for the response, Louis. I’ll look forward to the new tunics. It’s just that I so love the pebble crepe for summer and just loved the fit of the swing sweater…asym hem done right!! Ah well, a gal can dream! I need 27 to 29 in length, so can’t wear your iconic pebble crepe pullover. BTW, I received your turq 5-strand torsade and it’s just lovely…a wonderful pop of color against white and black, and just the right size!! Have a great day.
        Madame

  44. Hi, Louis!!! Now that the lovely and charming Lisa Mason is back at QVC, I am hoping that the two of you will be paired up once again. :-). I understand that QVC does the programming, but it would be wonderful for you two to have a reunion show. Perhaps for your anniversary show?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You know I love Lisa and was very sad when she left. Now that she’s back I couldn’t be happier, and I would love to work with her, but that’s totally not up to me…..

        1. Strong affirmative response on the Q Forum. Please chime in if the spirit moves you!

  45. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, was just reading your posts below as to actual size presently of the lovely model Maria. There have occasionally been times in past years that I’ve wished Maria had on a larger size and now I understand better why that might not always happen. And I wanted to shout-out my thank for showing Maria dressed in STRIPES!!!! I love all of your spring stripes, and was so glad to be able to see Maria in the WK sailor top with the aqua jeans. She looked very “cute”. And loved her in the zig zag maxi! There are a lot of plus size women, and perhaps other sizes as well, who swear never to wear horizontal stripes and yet you demonstrate the wearability of your stripes in the larger sizes when you dress Maria in them. I thank you for that! Also thank you for showing the jean jacket on Maria. I love that piece and was so glad to see Maria rock that jacket.

  46. Kathy Sautter

    Hi Louis,

First I want to thank you so much for the beautiful clothes you design. I am slowly building a Linea wardrobe. I so look forward to your shows and I learn so much every time you are on. I take notes on your styling tips and I have a wish list of the items I hope to add to my closet as resources permit. I have been watching for J287999, the pearl and faceted stations necklace. I thought it was expected in March when you wrote about jewelry reorders. Do you have any update on delivery? I also was interested in the wire domed bracelet with the four wires that I think came in gold and silver. I saw these bracelets in your last show. One of the Linea ladies on the QVC forum told me that they were not reordered. So beautiful. Do you have anything like those coming in the future? Again, I cannot thank you again for the beauty you have brought into my life. And your Linea Ladies are so helpful and gracious that I also extend my thanks to them.

    Kathy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….I know that necklace was going to be reordered, and I may have even said so, but things change sometimes without me being notified. They may have decided to put that money towards new merchandise. I am checking and will let you know either way.

  47. luvitorleaveit

Hi Louis I just wanted to say what a fabulous show I wanted everything and wish the shows were longer, but did settle for quite a few pieces before I had to leave for PA. While traveling I finally wore my peony pink hoodie and tank set which I am so glad I stuck to my regular size it fits perfectly and so very comfortable to wear during a long drive. I am glad you addressed the size issue as I too was in a dilemina on whther to go up a size in the zig zag, in the end I decided to stick with my regular size. I am still looking forward to and waiting patiently for the lace cardigans.

  48. Pecan Cookie

    Hi Louis,
I started to leave this info on the Q’s forum and thought how silly that was. I so appreciate you always considering and bringing us separates that work with previous collections. I need but really love the ability to throw on Linea clothes, run out the door and see that I am looking pulled together even on days when I am not. Some days I wish you could hear how many times I say thank you. For all those times and many more to come, thank you Louis!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear PC….you’re very welcome…..and thanks to you for your kind words.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear PC….youu’re very welcome…..and thanks to you for your kind words.

  49. Debbie B

Hello Louis. Since you showed us a sneak peek of the “school of fish” necklace, can you give a better peek on your blog? From what I’ve read on the Forums, there are several of us just waiting for our chance to hook those fishies.
    Thanks,
    Debbie

    1. Debbie B

Louis,Thank you for the new sneak peeks and the item number. I will be trolling for fishes.
      Debbie

  50. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

I love that you are looking at the possibility of a WK skirt in white and a WK skirt in perfectly pink. In the experimental stages to see if they are see through. Just wanted to tender my request one more time as experimentation for future items is ongoing, for a longer pencil in the Dark Linea Navy – 27″ in plus sizes or mid-calf length. Hope spring eternal…

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Is the longer Dark Navy pencil a possible candidate for a Fall/Winter item?

Also wondering as I get dressed to go out tonight in black dress and PP Linea Cardi if the shawl might be revisited in Fall and if so, what about PP?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy, unfortunately the shawls were not reordered, the sales weren’t strong enough, and it’s a shame because it was a fabulous unique item that you won’t find again.

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

I adore shawls, capes, ruanas and ponchos and have many I’ve collected over the years to “play with.”m3by They always add a certain “elan” ~ that certain distinctive style and flair ~ to many, many an outfit. Not to mention warmth, something needed most months of the year in New England. At present I’m having an artisan in Turkey crochet an optic white shawl and an optic white lacy poncho for me for the hotter months. [I found her on Etsy as Turkey is not on our present travel itinerary ;)] I’m really sad to see the whisper knit shawl bite the dust! I can’t seem to get enough whisper knit. It’s not just the beauty of it, it’s that sense of a comforting “soft hug” my pieces give me. Sorry if that sounds like an odd descriptor, but I assure you it is 100% accurate. 😉 It’s something you can’t really put a price tag on either. Your designs using WK are just brilliant and so flattering.

      2. Maia

Dear, Louis, I need a 27″ WK dark navy pencil skirt, too. I’m certainly willing to order one in the fall. I have several colors in A-237412, but I don’t think you’ve done it in LINEA navy. It’s a huge hole in my wardrobe.

  51. Chris/Jazzmom

    Good morning Louis,

Finally a sunny warm day here!! Do you know if item A251588 is coming back as a reorder? This is the tunic with 3/4 sleeves w waist pockets in the 92% cotton/8% spandex blend and came in turquoise (I have that color), dark tan and black. Will there be reorders on the older colors and/or new colors added?

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, Chris….that top hasn’t been reordered. I don’t know why??? The A255145, s/s scoop neck top with the patch pockets has been reordered.

  52. Saphira

    Hi Louis,

I was traveling during your shows and am now shopping catch-up. Along with other sweaters, I plan to get the zig-zag knit top in blue. I’m at the upper end of the small sizing chart bust-wise, does the lining on this top have any stretch at all? I realize that the knit stretches but a non-stretching lining would make me think that sizing up to a medium would be a better choice. Can you advise please?

I love, love, love all the new sweaters!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Saphira…..the top is lined in my tricot knit that I have used many times before….it’s the same knit that i use for the lining of the BoHo skirts, so there is plenty of stretch. The piping around the neckline, armhole and hem are also made out of the stretch knit. I think you should stay with the small for sure.

  53. Sharon L

I saw your comment that the cotton span Capri legging is returning–love them. When are they expected to be available? One in every color has my name on it. I wanted another white, but it’s not available in medium. I ordered the denim crops and am awaiting delivery. You sneak peaked an asymmetrical short sleeve whisper knit back in February. When will that be available? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The Capri legging should be avail next month but they did not bring more white in…..I’m not sure why? The colors will be Black, navy and the new dark gray.. I think you mean the 3/4 sleeve sweater. That was is coming in for transition or early fall, and will be here for Aug selling, but between then and now there will be a lot of new things to tempt you.

  54. Kathy/Wis

Any chance you would do a black denim jacket or vest? Your denim is the best. Really enjoyed your shows and have a lot of good stuff coming my way.
    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….I have actually done black denim in the past, but due to the quality of this particular denim it doesn’t come out a black black. The white grin through makes the fabric look like a dark gray.

      1. Diamondscribe

Louis, those of us privileged to snag some of the black denim love that “grin” aspect of the denim. I like the black-charcoal aspect of the pants and jacket I have. I would have loved to get that in the denim dress. BTW, I received the flag blue and white denim “Swing” jackets yesterday. Awesome!!! I went back and put the red on wait list. This is one that would be great in the black or indigo denim for fall and winter. I love the weight of this denim and the fact that it is polished enough for me to wear for business-casual events. Will there be some flag-blue coordinating pieces down the line? That is a very pretty blue.

  55. Deirdre

    Great shows yesterday, Louis.

Do you have any information on when the Navy Print Combo top, which you previewed in a February post, may be arriving at the Q? I own several of your print tops, love them, and am eager to add this one to my collection.

Thank you for all you do.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deirdre…that top is scheduled for Pre-Fall in August, but there are a few print tops that you haven’t seen between now and then.

Fabulous shows, Louis. Tell me please, will the Lapis WKs work with the Blue Zigzag I picked up the WK Drape Front Cardigan and a second WK Tank in Lapis in hopes they work together.

I have a Mega High School Reunion coming up on Long Island, out in Suffolk County on the North Shore, on Labor Day Weekend (that’s where more than one class is at the reunion—lot’s of fun since whole neighborhoods and families show up—I’m Class of ’68). The dress code is casual, so that means the outfits will run the gamut. I think I’m going to wear the Blue Zigzag Skirt with either Black WK on top or the Lapis (if it works together). Linea Black Teardrop Waterfall Necklace if wearing Lapis on top; or the Linea Silver Double Row Bead Necklace if wearing Black on top. Black pointy toe pumps. I think my outfit will be just the right balance—not too dressy but certainly not too casual. It’s going to be great fun!

I was watching your 7 pm show last night from my Mom’s in Illinois. Only a few minutes into the show we were interrupted with a tornado warning and the sirens going off. How could the weather be so cruel as to take me away from this much awaited show and off to the basement for two hours? Luckily I made all of my purchases in advance as soon as they were online and up to order. I was also fortunate to get to watch the 11 am show. I plan to watch all the videos from that show.

My question is can someone tell me where to look for the School of Fishes necklace sneak peek? I’m not sure if I missed it in the am or if it was shown on the 7 pm show. I can’t wait to see it and hopefully buy it as well.

I so love every new item I have received so far. Thanks for your beautiful designs in clothes and jewelry.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barb….that is horrifying!!!!! Jac and I were just watching it on the 12 o’clock news I’m happy to hear you and your family are safe and I hope you didn’t suffer too much damage. The school of fish necklace was shown on the last item on the 7pm show….the jean jacket. I believe both Maria [for sure] and Brenda ? were wearing it. If they have a new video you can see it there. It came out great!

      1. TexasBarb

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly on the necklace. QVC had posted the new video on the jean jacket so I was able to see it. It is gorgeous and I hope to be one of the lucky customers to purchase it.

My family was fortunate to have suffered no damages. The tornado did not touch down in her community. Others were not so lucky and from what I understand one woman in another location lost her life. I definitely didn’t intend to make a joke of this terible situation.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barb….I hope you didn’t think I thought you were joking about the situation and what happened. I know you certainly weren’t.

      2. queendiva

Louis, your sneak peek of the school of fish necklace: what a WOW! I had the good fortune of picking up one of your original AK couture school of fish necklaces on ebay. It is so unique and I always get compliments when I wear it. This new redux is sensational!

    Hello Louis,

I loved your show with Leah last night! With Spring finally making its way to Western Pennsylvania, I need to add some crop pants to my wardrobe. Will the pebble crepe (A255183)crop pants be returning or will you have something new to offer in a crop pant this season?

I missed out on those pants last year and need something business casual to wear to the office.

Thank you (and Jac) for all you do!
    Monica

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Monica, I showed the denim crop pant yesterday in white and navy [indigo]. There still may be some avail. I will have the Cotton/span knit legging in black, navy and grey, but other than that no other crops for this season. I have dome the pebble crepe crop pant twice and it never did well enough to reorder, so I doubt if they will go for it a third time.

      1. Cela

I absolutely adore those…but I would love a full length pebble crepe pant, too. Even full length would be cool and breezy. Any hope at all for a long PC pant?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela….theirs always hope, but I never know what the buyers will buy. I have sketched many pebble crepe styles. We will just have to wait and see.

Will there be any Perfectly Pink knit slim skirts or pants? I love that color and would like to see more of it.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti….I would love to offer a P Pink and White or Ivory WK bottom, but we first have to see if it’s see through. Since sweater factories aren’t capable of putting linings in it could be a problem, but I’m working on it.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

I would love for the fall a walnut or brown colored Linea Leisure pant and a gray color too(charcoal gray?) I am loving those pants which I wear daily here for now.
        Regards,
        Chris

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Chris…I don’t even know if they will be reordered since the petites have been very slow to sell. Maybe they would consider just reordering the regular sizes?

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

That would be fine too– I think they are so comfy around the house. I imagine that the Regulars can be shortened without damaging the material? Unlike the WKs which were finished at the bottom edge so could not be altered.

          2. Yvette

Hmmm, I have one of each color in the petite (and love them). Maybe I need to buy more, lol. Seriously, it’s so nice to have pants available in petites so that they are truly “ready to wear”. Fall colors would be great, though, evenRy if I do have to hem them.

      2. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Thanks, Louis. I appreciate anything you can do. I’d even go for a woven trouser or woven slim skirt. I just love that color.

Hi, I put the aqua hoodie in my cart hoping to see it presented last night but it wasn’t, or if it was I missed it. Your blog said the color would match other aqua WK items so this morning I checked every WK sweater on QVC and saw nothing in “aqua”, only one sweater names turquoise. I know you don’t name the colors and perhaps you did have at one time a WK sweater in aqua but I couldn’t find any online. Do you have any info on other sweaters that are the same color? QVC does not have an image online either and they have a bad habit of naming colors in the same family aqua, turq, light blue, teal, who knows? Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary. the Aqua hoodie was sneak peeked on the 11:00am show. If you look at the video of the crop denim pant [sorry on’t have the A# at hand], in the white and navy you will see Angela in the Aqua hoodie. The reason you can’t find an Aqua WK is because they are all sold out. Turquoise is not Aqua. I am planning to do more Aqua WK sweaters for next spring, because I have received many requests to bring this color back.

Hi Louis, Great shows yesterday! I have a question about some of the bracelets the models were wearing. In the 11am show, there were some wide chunky silver tone and gold tone bangles. In the 7pm show, there was a wide tortoise bangle. Are these new pieces coming to us in the future?

Also, just have to say that I loved the sneak peek of the School of Fishes necklace — can’t wait for that!

Thanks again for all your hard work and the beautiful clothes!

  62. Happy Lady

Bought all your “Missoni” pieces. Can’t wait to get them. The sleeper jewel of the show for me was A263356 striped WK cardigan in TEAK. Loved with white Kate shirt, black WK pencil skirt (or black WK pants) worn with lots of pearls, Linea Logo necklaces and black, high heeled, pointy toed pumps. Great business attire.
Two wonderful shows; especially liked Pat; very informative and let you speak about your designs and clothing construction. Very informative. Thank you, well done..

Watched show today with beautiful maxi dress. Why would you not tell us size Maria the model was wearing? You mentioned other sizes but fir Maria simply said – we found Maria’s size and how good she looks. I think with numerical sizes knowing what size the only larger model on the show wore would be a great help to us. We are not all s and xs and Maria looked great. This does help us larger ladies.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jean….I think you ask a very fair question, and the answer to that is I honestly didn’t know. I noticed during the 11am show the zig zag tunic on Maria was tight, so for the 7pm show I asked the stylist to pull the dress in larger sizes, I believe, but not sure, he pulled a 16 and an 18. I wasn’t back stage to see what size she worn,I assumed the 18, and she didn’t say what size she was wearing. Maria has put on weight and is not a LG at the moment. Whether she is an XL or a 1X, I don’t know. It is not up to me, as the designer, to reveal the models sizes. The host is given a card just before the show with the models heights and I believe sizes, so it really is their obligation to report the statics. Some of the models say they are 5’9″, but they aren’t taller then Maria and Brenda who are 5’8″. All that said, I think you should buy the size you know you are comfortable in. The variation is more the style and shape of the garment then the actual size. We always fit on the same size small and 1X models so the fit and size should basically be the same. Sometimes the style determines the measurements. For instance a sweater with a rib bottom will always “measure ” smaller than a plain tubular bottom, but they will fit the same. I have answered your question as honestly as I can with the information I have.

      1. Wendy/DE

Thank you for your honest reply to the question about Maria’s size. Even though it’s not really our business, “inquiring minds like to know” when trying to decide on sizes. I think your answer reveals your sensitivity to this issue and more importantly how to pick the garments that you design. I’ve found almost consistently that if I stick to the size I’ve found most comfortable and read any comments you write about the garments on this blog, I’m usually successful in my choices. Thank you for all the wonderful advice that you share with us. It is gratefully appreciated!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Wendy….I think it is your business. If you as customers have to make decisions on what size to buy or if a garment will work for you, I think it’s important that you know exactly what size and height the models are. Maria has definitely gained weight and they still call her a large. I do not feel it is my job to tell the stylists what sizes to pull for the models, but when I saw the zig zag tunic on Maria at the 11am show I had to tell them to pull larger sizes for her for the next show. I knew a size LG maxi dress in the zig zag would never fit, and i thought it was important for larger women to see her in this dress. I thought the size she wore in the dress was perfect and made a world of difference, but I don’t know what size it was…..I think an 18. I think it is extremely important that all of you are given accurate info. If someone was interested in buying the tunic and thought Maria was a large and the tunic was a large…then they might decide to size up seeing how it fit her. Then they would have gotten it home and it would be too big based on what they thought they saw. It is not up to the designers to report weight gains or sizes of the models. This is the business of QVC. It become a sticky situation. I love Maria, and think she is a fabulous model at any size, but I do think it is important that their true sizes and heights are given. The thing is…when Maria is given, or for that matter all the models are given their true sizes, the clothes fit more times than not, true to their and your size. I sometimes ask for jackets to be changed from xxs to xs, just because their shoulders are wide, and the jackets pull up or across the back. Very few women, models included, are perfectly balanced, from shoulder to bust to waist to hips….When I did runway shows each model [the super model days] had to be fitted because they were each so different!…We have certain basic standard measurement for each style. The closer a customer is to those measurements the better the garment will fit. Have you ever noticed how one will say “it fits like it was made just for me”, while another will say “what’s with the fit, it’s horrible”, and they are talking about the same garment!?? That is one of the reasons for more numerical sizes. Trust me…manufacturers would rather make SML…there are less patterns and work involved, but numerical sizes, if you follow the click here measurements should be more accurate…..Yes, it is your business…..it’s your money!

          1. Wendy/DE

Thanks, Louis. I appreciate how much that you care! I’ve learned so much about fit from all your comments and advice!

          2. Goldie76

Dear Louis, I, too, appreciate your naked honesty in your replies on the topic of Maria’s size. My heavens, it is sad that there is even a hint of a thought of shame or subterfuge about someone’s larger size (as has been suggested on some QVC Forum threads. As I wrote on the QVC blog, a size 16 (or 18, for that matter) was more of the norm for a “settled” woman when I was young. Number my own mother, aunts and grandmother among these “settled” women who routinely wore such a size. Every now and again there might be a diet that brought them down to a 12, but mostly they were a 16 or 18. Slim women in that era were a size 10 or 12, as I recall. In my heyday, my optimally attractive size was 10.

Only now, in the day of sizes 00 to 2 to 4 would a size 16 seem gigantic and regarded with some horror. Give me a break! Must I repeat that old chestnut about Marilyn Monroe being a size 14 (and sometimes 16). Even if there were differences in measurements at that time, she would have been no smaller than size 12 today.

Maria rocked the zigzag maxi-dress in my book. She is a beautiful and voluptuous woman. Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but Maria’s look has many fans, that’s for certain.

Yippee!!! This morning I heard you say that my favorite elbow sleeve cropped bolero (A223660) was returning next month. When you first presented this bolero in 2012 I bought all three colors that were available. I don’t remember the names of your on air colors but the colors of the bolero were black, medium green and medium purple. I love this short sleeve sweater. I have worn it casually and on dressy occasions. I get compliments every time I wear them and asked for the store location. I am so glad this is coming back. What colors are you offering this time?

    Clark55

    1. Anonymous

Both of your shows today we’re great. You work well with Pat & Leah.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Clark55, it will be avail in two basic colors….Black and Ivory which everyone should like. The last one wasn’t reordered because only the black sold out immediately, and the reef green and the other color, don’t remember the names either, lingered on and on…..that was the same situation with the long WK skirt…..the black sold out immediately but the other two colors did not do as well. Sometime I think I should only do bottoms in basic colors like black, brown, navy, ivory, and grey and call it a day. Special colors can really drag the sales down causing the style, no matter how well received, not to be reordered. Another case of that is the WK scarf. I guess I gave you way more info then you asked for…LOL.

    Hello,

I have some of your ponte knit pants and love them because of their quality, fit, and they don’t wrinkle! I am writing to ask about A233852 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Fly Front Pants Regular Fit. I like the look of these and would like to order the bamboo color. Pants that do not wrinkle when wearing are very important to me. Is the fabric in these pants good for not wrinkling?

    Thank you,

    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra……First the pant you are inquiring about is not a ponte knit. It is a woven pant in a linen “like” weave so it has a texture to it. It is made in 100% polyester so there should not be a wrinkling problem. The bamboo is a very beautiful color and one that you don’t see often. In this type of linen like weave it is especially, IMHO, beautiful. I want to be very clear so that if you decide to give it a try you won’t be disappointed, that it is not a knit pant. Take a moment to look at the video.

      1. Debra

Thank you. I did notice that it is not ponte knit and that the fabric is unique with a textured weave. Just wanted to know about the wrinkle factor. I sit at a desk for long periods at work and don’t like to stand up in a mass of wrinkles so am always looking for good quality fabric. Thanks for working hard to provide quality clothes. – Debra

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra….my recollection is that there were no wrinkling complaints which would be unusual for a polyester fabric, but you should read the reviews about the fabric to satisfy your self before purchasing….I loved the fabric, and thought it looked very expensive.

        2. Lyn

I have these pants (size small), and I don’t notice any wrinkling. They are very pretty (32″ inseam), but, unfortunately, they are too large for me now (since I lost a lot of weight). I purchased them to go with my Chanel-type lace jackets in ivory, black and sage.
