March “SNEAK PEAK #8”

“Sneak Peek” #8, is A222542. It is a CRINKLE GEORGETTE PEASANT TOP. The entire blouse is double self fabric…meaning the body and sleeve are lined in the crinkle georgette. The details on this blouse are very delicate and feminine. I had satin strips made and had three of them sewn down the front, [front only]…. from the neckline to the hem. The neckline is piped in the same satin and the elastic hem of the sleeve is also covered with satin [blue photo]. There is also a self tie belt [to be used or not], pink photo, that also is piped on one edge with satin. Sizing…..if you lay this blouse on top of the A221795, the paisley peasant blouse, they are approx. the same size. The difference is the fabric. The crinkle georgette stretches a lot more than the flat georgette of the paisley due to the crinkle……which acts like an accordion. Therefore, on the body, this may feel bigger, but the flat measurement are about the same. If the paisley felt tight in the size you received, this will not feel the same way. If the size you purchased in the paisley was big than you should go down one size in this. Peasant blouses with “elastic” necklines that allow you to wear them off the shoulder [last years paisley in olive and black], will always be and feel bigger than peasant blouses with fixed [no stretch] necklines. The colors are CHAMBRAY BLUE [they may have called it just blue, but it matches the chambray blue Boho perfectly], PERFECTLY PINK, and BLACK. In the photos you can see each color with it’s matching Boho skirt and then broken up with white bottoms just to show the blouse as a separate. Of course there are many other things you can wear with these tops…..such as the blue/ navy or gray/black mosaic skirts, navy pants, jeans etc. etc. I know many of you are always looking for pieces to mix with your Boho skirts and I thought this would be a good addition……I hope you think so too. This will be my last sneak peek before my trip to London, tomorrow, with one sneak peek remaining for the month of March…………time is flying!!!!!!! ……………..Love, Louis

    Hey all x

Watched the Uk launch. I would like the Bohol
Skirts to be here in UK.

I hope you get the Boho skirts in the UK. I wear them constantly 3 seasons of the year.

Welcome ChristineUKangel! The QVC USA Ladies hope you love this line as much as we do.

  2. Chris/Jazzmom

Saw half of the UK program and it was wonderful to not see the ‘hard sell’ atmosphere of your clothing. (3000 inventory, 200 left to order). I hope tonight’s program is a success!

Thank you Louis for pairings to my favorite summer skirt – the boho 🙂 I may experiment with the sand w/blk emb Kimono over this column of black [peasant top and matching boho]and maybe the black w/ecru emb Kimono over the column of pink. We’ll see but I think the Kimono jackets have some flexible applications across the wardrobe. Safe travel to UK!

Oh, thanks Louis! I thought the same, but wanted an expert opinion 🙂 I’m glad to hear there’s just a hint of lavender in that “chambray” blue; I thought it had a touch of a “periwinkle” look to it; a very good color for me! Lovely …

    Have a wonderful time!

    Dear Louis,

This peasant top is a wonderful new pairing for my perfectly pink boho…and beyond! The satin touches bring attention up to my face (and away from my hips!)

The blue is beautiful. I have never worn this hue of blue and I may have to add it to my cart.

    Thank you.

Enjoy your brief time in London. These peasant tops look wonderful and I agree the satin piping takes it up a notch in terms of design. I might be in for all 3 colors!! Thanks for explaining the sizing differences between the paisley and the non stretch neckline peasant tops. I probably will be sizing down in this.

Thanks for the comparison with the paisley top. The paisley is a little snug on the shoulders (when reaching), so this one will be fantastic. The satin trims add so much, without taking away from the simplicity of the top. LOVE!

Safe travels, great fun, and many sell-outs in the UK…….Sherry

Hope you have some time to enjoy London.

If you have time, could you check to see if the chambray top looks right with the blue chambray crops? I have the boho already, so I’m for sure getting it, but all my summer things are still packed away and inquiring minds want to know.

    Thanks!

Dear Carol, they do not look good together at all. The croops are a green blue compared to the boho and peasant blouse which is a blue with a tint of lavender in it……sorry, but no.

  12. Lynn

I love these tops — I will probably order all of them. Thank you for the peek! Safe travels!

    Dear Louis,

Oh, this is very pretty! I’m wondering if that black top would look nice with my Linea black boucle skirt with the satin piping and godets at the knee?

Have a grand time in the UK; don’t forget Borough Market 🙂
