“THE BLACK, GUNMETAL & GOLD SEED BEAD NECKLACE”

pewter

………………………The fourth and final combination for this necklace is…………….BLACK with……….GUNMETAL with…………GOLD accents…..and what a magnificent and unique combination it is!…..Where as the other three necklaces are basically two colors…..GOLD PLUS…..this last combination looks totally different with the gold being used strictly as an ACCENT, and a divider between the Gold and Gunmetal seed beads…………..It is a beautiful example of mixing metals…..All of the photos to the left have two necklaces and all the photos on the right are shown with one…..Whether you go with one or two [for a very dramatic effect]….you simply can not go wrong…….This is a timeless, season less piece that you will enjoy wearing for many many years to come…….I know it’s early, but think ahead……what  a FANTASTIC present this would make…….I think this is a great finale to the Spring/Summer Linea Necklaces…….I hope you think so too………………………….enjoy…………much Love……………….Louis

You took the words right out of my mouth, Goldie! Each and every one is BEAUTIFUL!

I’m dizzy from their beauty, Grace. I have bought several seed bead necklaces in my time, but none comes close to touching these gems. Wouldn’t it be grand to understand how a fine sensibility like Louis’s works? Just to have a general blueprint of how he thinks up beautiful garments and decorations…

As I’ve written before, we are so lucky. At church today, I noticed — once again — that one of the wealthiest and most stylish parishioners was again wearing her (typically boutique-purchased) impressive wardrobe and accessories that underline how RIGHT Louis is. Today she had a very nice handbag with an animal print somewhere within its leather parts; she also was sporting animal print heels that coordinated with the bag. They were worn with a simple black suit that had a flattering neckline. Anyway, I was always such a snob [I don’t know just who I think I am 🙂 ] about animal prints. My entire life I avoided them like the plague. Until Louis…

Anyway, this woman oftentimes wears her very expensive garments, and so often I notice that something Louis has suggested that I might take a chance on shows up in a similar version on her. Luckily, my items cost a fraction of what she pays.

I couldn’t agree more, Goldie…it’s a rare and special treat for those of us who follow and benefit from Louis’ creative genius, to witness how he repeatedly comes up with beautiful garments and accessories. Like you, I’ve been “nudged” to try out animal prints and statement jewelry, because I know Louis won’t steer us wrong…He knows his customer so well that he considers our collective sensibilities and tastes…If only QVC would let him do his collection his way with an unlimited budget! Wouldn’t that be great? We’d all be broke, but happy! lol.

Sounds like the woman you’ve described at church has exquisite taste. Understated, but stylish. (As I picture you, btw!) Animal prints have become such mainstream classics that I routinely wear them now–but still as accessories only. There can be too much of a good there, I think…moderation in all things, except Linea jewelry!

Grace, I bought several of that Linea cheetah print top; the “cheetah” was my first foray into animal prints. Although the jacquard jacket is patterned after tortoise, it continues to suggest an animal print to my eye, and I am wild over that in the brown. Am aching to buy just one more, I admit.

Like you, I started with accessories. Pre-Line, I bought two leopard print belts — one wide and one narrow (it’s a very nice one, too). So far, I have not worn them. I did, however, wear a leopard print narrow scarf but only twice, as I remember.

Thank you for your very kind comment about my style. I try; I fail sometimes; and sometimes something “bohemian” creeps into my otherwise traditional (but Lineay!) look. Can’t help myself. But Louis allows for this with his colors, his sometimes avant-garde designs and adventurousness.

For some reason, I sense that you never fail at epitomizing high style and good taste.

Goldie, I also have the “cheetah” top in olive (love the light texture) and my favorite jacket by far is the jacquard. Have that one in grey/black, but need to order another one in the brown shade before they are gone for good…Best fitting jacket ever.

It’s funny…this afternoon, after our conversation here, I was looking at a YouTube video called “I Love Paris” (it’s a raw video shot on the streets of Paris with no voice-over…just the sights and sounds of city life and ordinary Parisians looking extraordinary…)On the latest video, there was an older woman (in her 80’s…) walking along the street wearing head-to-toe leopard! She carried it off beautifully! But, then again, she’s French 🙂

And, thank you for your kind words…I have to admit, I do fail in pulling things together without styling help, but the important thing is…I keep on trying!
