“THE BLACK & ALABASTER CREPE GAUZE DRESS”

moss3

……………..The third and final piece in the NEW GAUZE CREPE is the SWING DRESS…..A276299…….The colors above are……….BLACK….and….ALABASTER…… which is quickly becoming a favorite! As you can see it’s a sleeveless dress with a somewhat high V-neck…….The body has a swing bottom….not too much, but definitely more than an A-Line. What is also lovely about this dress is….it has a minimal HIGH/LOW hem. This added little sweep in the back gives the dress a nice movement and flow……The dresses are lined!…….These are simple dresses with HIGH IMPACT………I would also call these JEWELRY DRESSES. Though I am showing them with Linea pearls, J296624 and J264035, there are so many different Linea necklaces that will look wonderful………The new EGYPTIAN, and the BARREL BEAD necklaces to name two. Of course the BLACK JET assortment will all be perfection……..Many of you now know how wonderful Ā the colors and the fabric are….so just imagine how weightless and comfortable this new swing dress will be……….I am noy sure if this will be on the May 9th, 4pm to 6pm, or my June 8th, 4 pm show.

……………………………………….enjoy………………much Love………………………..Louis

Great little dress, Louis! I love a swing dress in the summer, and I’m definitely in for the black, But I do wish that just once the Q would let you do something with a deeper V. Guess I’m a “Linea Floozy”!

Me too!I’ll work on it, but I hate to get returns because some customers say the neckline is too low…nowhere near the cleavage!

Same for me…I wouldn’t mind a deeper V-neck. I find it elongates my neck and gives me a more youthful look.

Oh Louis, this one has my name all over it. Just perfect! The black is a given, but now I just need to decide on alabaster or pink. This is the kind of decision-making I like! And thanks for the modified V neck. Not all of us can wear a deeper neckline – I’m just 5’2″ and short-waisted on top of that. So a “modest” V goes pretty far down my chest. And a deeper V goes waaaay down, not a good look if you’re not very well endowed lol. I really appreciate that you vary your designs so that over time there’s always something for each of us. And this one is definitely for me!!

LOVE this dress, but I need a tad more knee coverage šŸ™

Louis, I’m wondering…might this dress be longer in larger sizes? Close to 39 inches maybe? LOVE, LOVE this dress in that gorgeous fabricā€¦simple and elegant. Adore it.

      1. louis dell'olio

        Yes Grace….it ranges from 39.12 to 41 inches for a 3x

Thanks, Louis. I’m usually a Medium, so it sounds like this might work. This is one dress I don’t want to pass up!

Beautiful, classic sheaths Louis. Would the new wk sweater in the light color (can’t remember if lt khaki or lt tan) work with the alabaster gauze dress?

  6. Chris/Jazzmom

If alabaster is popular, could a shrug be created in this crepe gauze fabric to wear over this dress in the future? Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

Since there isn’t much stretch a shrug wouldn’t work, but a bolero might. I don’t know if they would buy it?

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

I would buy anything to cover the upper arms and part of the chest for this dress. A/C in some venues is on ‘polar ice cap’ setting!

Chris do you have A265614? Its a ENR bolero Louis did last year in black and ivory. I have both and they will look beautiful with the new dresses. Just checked and there is still inventory in many sizes for the ivory.

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

I have shrugs from Motto but alabaster is a color unto itself. Thanks anyway.

Wow! Reminds me of something you would see in the very pricy Eileen Fisher line.

I agree. My mind’s eye sees this sort of look on those who possess exceptional taste and typically reside, shall we say, on a higher economic stratum. With Linea, you can have that taste but do not require that purse. Lovely look! Not one that I can carry off, but lovely.

WOW! How long is the dress – can it be worn as a tunic?
    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. louis dell'olio

The SM is 37.5″ in the front and 39″ in the back. It would be a very long tunic.

Wowzee the alabaster and pink are mine! Simple but so elegant!
