A QUICK HELLO!

Hi everyone,
I want to thank you all for what is becoming a spectacular season for me and I hope for you! Thursday’s show did really well and there were many sell outs. “Everyone” is HAPPY with the result. I wanted to take a second between unpacking from the show and repacking for Paris and London to thank all of you for your support. The callers were great and it’s always a good surprise to hear directly from one of you! Chris I was thrilled when you said, “Louis, it’s Chris!”. Angela, Chantal, Brenda, Maria and Kate are all wonderful models and wonderful people and Jac and I always look forward to seeing them. You don’t really know the people back stage, but they are a terrific group and we truly love each other….after 12 years we have become very close…..and then there is my Jac….I don’t know what I would do with out her.
Again, when we get back from across the big pond we will let you know all about the trip….until then…take care and God Bless!…..much Love, Louis

    Louis,

Following the lead of what others have been writing, I think that there are more “working-outside-the-home (WOTH) women” than QVC suspects. The company appears to adhere to the notion that all Linea Ladies are retired. Why else the 1:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. shows? We WOTH Linea Ladies wear your lovely garments and striking jewelry to the office, in board rooms, in retail stores, under medical cover-ups, etc. My, but we would love to have more opportunities to buy the line live. Viewing recorded shows and cruising QVC’s site late on work nights to get a jump on some items is not satisfying — and can sometimes be outright frustrating. Let’s have more early evening shows for the Linea line of clothing. Retired and WOTH Linea Ladies alike would enjoy having you show your work during prime time.

Yes, please QVC, schedule Louis so us worker bees can watch. I did order ahead, thanks to the sneak peeks, but hate to miss the live show fun. 1) Louis, while in London the Victoria & Albert gift shop has the best Jubilee souvenir: deck of cards (pics of the Queen on front, crowns & corgis instead of the diamonds/spades etc.) 2) Any chance of a Boho skirt minus 1 tier for summer or short ladies? I’m 5′ 9″ and wear my Bohos year-round but would like the identical with less length sometimes for warm weather. Safe trip!

    Louis,
What a delightful message! You are most welcome, but I’m afraid it is I who benefit the most from this ‘relationship’! Getting dressed is so easy now – thanks to you! I love all my new items. I think my favorites from the April group are the cargo dress, the boleros, and the lace jacket in moss. That little pebble crepe skirt is oh so cute on too! Have a great trip. I’ll be watching the UK show on my computer. Thank you for a terrific ‘batch’ of coordinating pieces – you’re a genius! Hello to Jac as well….

    HI Louis

I too missed most of the show due to being at work and in meetings but was able to sneak a few peaks on my iphone and ordered the night before .. I was even checking in at 4 AM looking for the elusive lace jacket . but that too I was able to order.. I took Jac’s advice and ordered the tie dye sweater too .. so much fun with such lovely items and people.. Thank you for your beautiful designs and always knowing exactly what “your ladies” will love !!

May you and Jac have a wonderful and safe trip .. can’t wait for the next show .. the sneak peeks as always are wonderful !!

    Dear Louis and Jac,

The 2 hour show was absolutely wonderful, and so much fun for us to hear you chatting with our fellow Linea ladies. It was clear to everyone just how much fun and joy was on and off stage for that show, and it’s a delight that you share a bit of that with us! My own Walter, after sharing a little lecture about being a bit more frugal in anticipation of upcoming travel, ran inside to remind me to turn on the show and came back in to “see how Louis was doing” LOL …

Thanks again to both of you, and hope you have a fantastic time in Paris and London; can’t wait for those postcards and Jac’s photos! I’m off to “strike while everyone is HAPPY” with another round of Linea Live Show Request letters; the forum thread has a real flurry of new posts too 🙂

    Bon Voyage! Cathy in PA
P.S. Every single thing I ordered last week has SHIPPED and will be here Monday and Tuesday; I can hardly wait! Just in time to add to my own packing for DisneyWorld and Florida in May.

  6. Enjay

    Hi Louis,

I missed the show – unfortunately, I think that the Q has decided that your clothing appeals to retired ladies, and schedules your shows during the day when professional women are working. I had meetings all day, but managed to order at midnight: the tweed tank, black maxi dress and black shrug, black pebble knit skirt to go with the tunic I already own and love. I know … all black. I can’t help it … my name is Enjay and I’m a blackaholic! But you got me with that gorgeous rasberry lace jacket! I was literally in a meeting, with my iPhone, ordering the OTO while my client was talking! Too funny – but I do wish that the Q would realize how much your designs appeal to younger professional women. The new maxi you posted is gorgeous! And you didn’t offer it in black … so I’m going for either the blue or red. It’s insanely great and I’m loving your summer designs. Have fun on the other side of the pond – looking forward to May!

  7. Dariann

    Dear Louis and Jac,

Have a fabulous trip – you two are a “class act” couple!

    Au revoir,
    Dariann

  8. Barbara in Virginia

We’ll be waving to you and Jac from across the pond when your UK shows air! Thanks for your kudos for the wonderful models. Those of us who are designers know that we can’t possibly do what we do without the wonderful people supporting us. And they so often don’t get the recognition they deserve. The show was fantastic. What is there not to be thrilled with?!! I can’t wait to get my new goodies, including jewelry. And Old Grumpy always loves to see the new things one me :-). As always, Barbara

  9. Mary (Shopsy)

Thank you for the kind words – the feelings you expressed are contagious. It is all so much fun, and I’ve never felt prettier.

No matter what lists I make, when Jac comes around that corner, the list gets longer. Thank you for everything that both of you do to make it all possible.

    Have a wonderful trip!

  10. Mackenzie

I thought the jewelry the ladies were wearing was stunning! The necklaces and bracelets really provided a beautiful setting for your clothing!

  11. Nancy ( aka Smilesalot)

    Dear Louis & Jac,

Have a wonderful Trip to Paris and London( always wonderful no matter what the weather).

I should think “Everyone” would be thrilled with your smashing show on Thursday!
It was delightful to watch and buy; so many goodies will be finding their way to my over loaded closet in the next week.

Thanks to Jac and your lovely models for doing such a great job. It was a marvelous show with exciting clothes. I cannot imagine a better way to start the Spring/Summer.

Safe travels; I hope you have time to relax and enjoy everything along the way.

    Bonjour —

You are a class act, Louis. Not only do you design beautiful, classy clothes and jewelry, and give us fabulous advice about styling, you express gratitude to your customers, models, back stage crew, and lovely wife. As other Loyal Linea Ladies have said, this season has been a smash success for us too. Many thanks for all you do for us! Enjoy every minute in Paris and please consider bringing back “Paris Postcards” ala your creative London Postcards.

    With appreciation,
    TourEiffel

  13. Kate

It’s becoming a spectacular season for me as well! And, knowing that we still have your fabulous jewelry to come (as well as a few new things and–I’m so excited–the silk/cashmere sweater in new colors) makes me super happy. Please take lots of pictures of your trip and tell Jac to buy herself something TDF in Paris! Hugs to the kids and safe travels.

P.s. BF paid me such a nice compliment about my (how to say this) rear view when I was wearing the new denim jacket. Men sure do notice the details!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Well…..you know what I say….”ya gotta look good comin and goin”…..We plan on having a great time in Paris even if the forecast is rainy….but the croissant and the pain de chocolat are a killer!

  14. Jmarie

Sad to say I had to miss all the shows due to a new work schedule, but I did get some orders in early. As a fellow international road warrior, please remember to get up and walk around that plane frequently! They conspire to keep you in your seat, but it’s important to protect your health! Have a safe and successful trip!

  15. Judy Ann

    Louis,
Just catching up now watching videos of your presentations yesterday. You appeared to be enjoying yourself. What a lovely collection you keep bringing to us. I have to say thank you for the greatest words of wisdom you passed on some time last year while you were making suggestions on ways to wear your lovely creations. You said: “Ladies, Have fun with your clothes.” That was a liberating moment for me, and I have been having fun putting together outfits with your lovely garments. Thank you.

Continued success. I wish you and Jac a terrific holiday in Paris and an enjoyable experience on the Q UK.

    Judy Ann

  16. Sherry

That’s a fast and furious two weeks…Paris, QVCUK, and then back to us on the 11th. Whew! Enjoy your time overseas and have a safe trip.

  17. Carmille

Awe, Louis and Lovely Jac, back at you! Your message makes me tear up! It is a pleasure and privilege to be able to purchase your designs. Thank you! And have a great trip, but come back soon now – we need more!

  18. Chris/Jazzmom

So glad that the show was a great success! Yes, it was great speaking with you, despite me being a teensy bit nervous! 😀
Enjoy the respite in Paris and hopefully the Brits will love the new items you show over there as much as we have come to enjoy your designs.
    Regsrds,
    Chris

  19. Susan T.

Thoroughly enjoyed this two-hour treat of wonderful fashions and ordered everything I wanted. Now I’m just anxiously awaiting the arrival of the packages! Behind every great man is a great woman and that describes you and your lovely wife for sure in my opinion. Have a fantastic trip abroad, sell a lot of your marvelous fashions, and tell us all about it when you both return.

  20. Carol

It’s like a big party for us, too, so I’m glad to hear that you enjoy it as much as we do. We’re still squealing over our newest haul and planning ways to wear it. Wonderful news that “everyone” is happy. I’m expecting my four new pairs of earrings anytime now, along with the metallic trimmed tees. Those will tide me over until the new pyramid arrives.

I’m jealous of your trip to Paris! It’s the best city on the planet as far as I’m concerned. You and Jac will have a well-earned vacation before you make your triumphant return to QVCUK. We’ll be watching again on our computers.

    Cheers!

    Dear Louis and Jac,
Your spectacular season is a spectacular season form me. I look forward to all my goodies, and cannot tell you how much I enjoyed your show. I feel so well dressed each and every time I put on a Linea outfit. Have a great trip. Look forward to the may show just in time for mother’s day.
    Regards
