Dear Malibu. It is not up to me if there is a waiting list for any item. Frankly Indon’t know who makes these decisions I wish there was a waiting list on all the jewelry items so I would, and hopefully the buyers, would have a clear picture of the demand for each item. When these pieces are sold out in 3 days and there isn’t a list it is difficult to know how many more should be ordered

FYI – There’s only 35 left of the Gorgeous Mardi Gras Necklace!
Louis – The Q’s ‘System’ allows you to put a maximum of 5 of an Item – 9 times – into your shopping cart – for a Total of 45. So I just start loading my cart – and for the Mardi Gras Necklace the System only let me put in 35 – because it said it was ‘Sold Out’. I always empty my cart out right afterwards in case someone is trying to purchase the Item.
Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone is still thinking about this Beautiful work-of-art!
And – Great News! My Fabulous Necklace shipped TODAY! WOW! However – as my Necklace has to travel first to Southern California – and then back up towards the Northeast – it will be awhile before I receive it – but at least I got one!

Scoping out QVC for days to catch this beautiful necklace. As Louis said on the AM Style presentation of the matching boho and safari shirt with this necklace on Jac, “it goes with everything”. I’m excited to put it with my various Lilac Linea pieces for example and it caught my eye in a sneak peak when he showed it with burgundy – but it will work with so many other colors that it is such a bargain. Thank you for this beautiful piece and Goldie for your description of it as a “party around your neck” which I can’t get out of my head 🙂 Next I will be eagerly awaiting the Nantucket glass necklace which puts me instantly out on a sunny breezy beach in my mind. 🙂 And Louis I LOVE it when a distinctive necklace like this comes as a set with matching earrings!!! As well as the wooden and gold bead necklace And those gorgeous cuff bracelets 🙂 Happy sigh.

Not to be a sourpuss, but I just have to chime in here. I HATE when the earrings are included with a necklace because I am paying for earrings that I can’t wear. I’m 5’2″ and small-boned, small-featured. A true petite. As much as I love Louis’s dangly earrings, they are really too big for me. I look like a little girl wearing her mother’s jewelry. I have many of Louis’s smaller earrings, like the demi-hoops, the pearls, and the metallic ball style in every color. But when the earring is grouped with a necklace it takes away my ability to choose an earring that works for ME. And Louis, I know that this is a choice made by QVC. Just venting here, ha ha.
Actually Yvette, it is not QVC’s choice….it is mine. They won’t buy the earrings separately so I feel it’s important to have an earring where I think it may be difficult to find something to go with it. It is actually less money to offer the earring with the necklace then separately, because separately there are many additional costs……boxing, shipping and handling would make the separate earring much more money…..so in effect adding the earring as a set adds very little to the cost. I feel I am providing a service by adding the earring. Of course not all necklaces will come with an earring when I think it would be easy to coordinate the necklace with something someone might already own…i.e. the Mardi Gras necklace…You can always give it away as a present, which in the long run will save you money.

Dear Louis, thanks so much for explaining how it all works. I realize that most women are not munchkins like me and appreciate the added earrings. And I won’t feel so bad not using the bigger earrings now that I know it really didn’t add much to the total cost of the purchase. (Aren’t we customers fast to blame QVC for anything we don’t like!) Can’t wait to receive my Mardi Gras necklace!!!

I’m here now. Could have been too late, however, to purchase. I told my sorrowful tale under the Baseball Jacket thread. Returned half an hour ago from lunch and food shopping, only to find your message that the necklace was available. I freaked out! Went directly to QVC, did not pass GO and whew! one was still available. Yes, I have my fancy and fun necklace. Thank you to all (Beryl) included for announcing the arrival. You are great! (I had checked on the necklace, off and on, all morning.)
