“THE AZTEC NECKLACES”

seed5

…………..Happy April!…..There are many goodies coming this April including three jewelry items!!………..J335215 is the style number for the two colors of the AZTEC necklaces……..Why did I name it Aztec?….because it has an artisan, hand made look consisting of natural looking elements…..The Aztecs worshiped GOLD, and in my imagination I could see the artisans of this ancient culture making each piece by hand…….ALABASTER WOOD with GOLD WOOD and BEADS and touches of BLACK, is the necklace to the left. The  GOLD with BLACK combination is the necklace to the right………………….This necklace comes from my ANNE KLEIN archives, and honestly……I can’t tell one from the other. The only way I know which is the “Anne Klein Couture” necklace is by the tiny Anne Klein Couture metal tag by the Lobster Claw closing………………This necklace is made with WOOD WEDGE BEADS in black, gold and alabaster depending on the combination. This is the FIRST TIME I’m using REAL WOOD. There are 3 sizes of Gold metal beads, again depending on which color necklace……. There are black large round beads and, fluted black small round beads…….all RANDOMLY SPACED……….It may look random, but each necklace is exactly the same so this random placement is very planned……..This random placement does not give the eye a repetition to rest upon , which makes it very exciting to look at……………Once again, I am bringing you something EXTREMELY UNIQUE. This is not a necklace you will find anywhere else, and you will ABSOLUTELY not see anything like it…..Again, it’s  a “one of a kind” COLLECTORS piece………………Wearing one is beautiful, but two together is frankly fabulous…..either two of the same color or one of each. This is a case where MORE is always better! I have shown on the runway 3 or 4 worn together……either long or doubled…..They also look wonderful mixed with other necklaces.  I first created these for an Anne Klein RESORT COLLECTION which had a strong ethnic influence. The show took place on a glorious sunny day at the Boat House in Central Park. It’s actually a restaurant [reservations required], which I highly reccommend for lunch. A true New York experience!…We took over the restaurant for a few hours, and it was a perfect place to show the collection. During the show row boaters stopped to watch, and at the end when I can out they all applauded…..it was lots of fun….. I had skirts and tops and an open front georgette long cardigan made out of a combination of alabaster, black, and tortoise sequins…………..Yes, they were as beautiful as they sound, and I mixed and layered many many of the “Aztec” necklaces. I showed a large LEATHER HOOP earring with a gold top, but any GOLD EARRING will look perfect…..and stacks of bracelets……Above, I have it shown with the ALABASTER “KATE” shirt, now on clearance, and the BLACK GAUZE CREPE PANT…………..This is a necklace I know you will cherish and get endless pleasure just looking at…………Share the beauty and consider this fabulous piece as a special present to someone who is very special to you……..Remember….quantities are limited………………..These will be avail some time this month…………………………………………..enjoy…………………….much Love……………………….Louis

Just was talking with my daughter and she said you had responded to my comment…..which I had not seen. To answer your question: MY original necklace had large round black beads, the irregular “disc” beads are gold, natural brown and bleached wood. There are smaller irregular gold beads here and there and small fluted blackish beads as well. The entire necklace is really a pretty good mix of the colors. Both my daughter and I are waiting for this new one with bated breath!!!

I’m very drawn to the styling of when they are doubled up and doubled in strands. I’m thinking I can’t go wrong getting one of each color, assuming that I don’t miss the day they are uploaded. This is sure to sell just as fast as the Mardi Gras necklace which I think only lasted maybe 3 days?

    1. louis dell'olio

I agree with you…with all of the positive comments it won’t last long…..maybe fewer then 3 days.

Love your jewellery, everyone in Portugal loves my Fishes. If I knew I could get more I would have given my necklaces away a dozen times or more. Will be on the hunt for these new beauties.

  4. Grace

I’ve been waiting for these gorgeous necklaces, too–one of each for me. I have all the alabaster pieces, and of course, the wide legged pant in black, too. Let the stalking begin!

  5. Dariann Lopez

Simply the best! I’ll have one of each!

  6. WNYGal/April

One of each for me. These really are the perfect accessory for that wonderful collection from last month.

  7. Kate

I’ll be heartbroken if I miss out on these. Midnight stalking starts NOW.

    1. Seka

Kate – it has been my experience that Linea Items – both clothing & jewellery – can get posted at any time. I check several times throughout the day (depending on my schedule) – always have my iPhone & iPad with me.

    2. louis dell'olio

The delivery date is the 1st to the 15th so it will be days before they are processed, and photographed. No need to stalk just yet.

      1. Jane J.

Louis, Is the delivery date the same for the seed bead necklaces? I have been stalking multiple times a day so it would be helpful to know if it is still too early for these to be posted.

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Jane…..yes, the delivery for the Aztec, and seed bead necklaces plus the cuff are the same. They could all be delivered on the 15th which means they probably won’t be avail until my shows on the 18th and 19th or the 24th

          1. Jane J.

Thanks so much for the info, Louis. I can rest a little easier for the next few days!

  8. Beryl

I’ll be stalking these. Hope I don’t miss out.

I am going for the Alabaster – love this colour! Z7M

  10. Chris/Jazzmom

They look fabulous! What is the length on these? Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

      Dear Chris…..the necklace is approx. 54 inches long…..there isn’t an extender….none needed.

I fully enjoyed reading your Anne Klein history with the presentation of the original necklaces. Thank you!

As for your “random” placement of the necklace elements, I view the design as calculated and exquisite as your choice of furniture, fabric, wall and window treatments, etc., that you have in your own home, which we Linea Ladies have been privileged to view on this site. I just received the Alabaster “Kate” yesterday, and I want two of the necklaces. (I’ll have to be careful when I leave the house as I almost missed the Mardi Gras necklace because of lunch and shopping.)

As I wrote on the QVC forum, these necklaces have a fresh, natural and breezy look that is so appropriate for warm-weather wear.

      They couldn’t be any better…

  12. Sallie

    Ooops!…I meant I WILL be adding more. : )

  13. Sallie

Louis, I can’t tell you how excited I am about your bringing these necklaces to QVC. As I said before here, I own one of the originals and LOVE it. I will not be adding more of these beautiful pieces to my collection, for sure.(Just hope my eyes and fingers are fast enough to get them before they are snapped up like so many of your stellar pieces. : ) ) Thank you, thank you!!!

    1. louis dell'olio

Which color do you own? They originally made many more of the black then the “Bleached Wood” as it was called then. To own any of them is a find, but the B.W. is very rare.
