“WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE’S A WAY”

I never give up the ship until it’s underwater and I’m swimming for shore! There is still hope for the Green Patina Etruscan Group and Fish!!!!! The buyers have accepted an end of Sept. delivery, because they realize it has been heavily promoted by me, and many of you have shown a strong interest in the pieces……The factory is getting one last chance to produce the jewelry correctly. If they succeed you will have your Green Patina pieces….if they don’t….well we did the best we could do………Fingers crossed!!………………..I will keep you updated when I know for sure………………..Love…………………………Louis

I hope your jewelry makers are successful. I really liked the Etruscan green patina necklace and was disappointed when they were not available for your jewelry show. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

On another front your Etruscan necklace and earrings arrived today. I purchased the Russian gold as well as the copper. They are stunning, antique looking, substantive and well done. I especially liked the copper iteration as it is so different. The earrings are lovely also, but a little long for my conservative professional wear. I am happy to say my own Rose gold earrings look wonderful with the copper and my 14kt and 18kt yellow gold earrings blend well with the Russian gold necklace.

Joanne, if you would get more wear from the earrings if they were shorter they really are very easy to open from the top and shorten.

I love the length of the earrings. I like them long for evening. I think they will look great with other rose gold and gold evening jewelry items. I will wear them when I wear the beads in the evening – just not for my professional suits. The think this duo of earring and necklace is quite versatile!

  3. beach-mom

Green is my favorite color, and this looks wonderful. Can’t wait!

Yippie!!! Here’s hoping the weather cooperates and/or the manufacturer thinks to use some dehumidifiers in their production facilities 😉 Very much agree, our dear Louie has the heart of a lion, what would you expect from a (fellow) Leo?!

  5. Susan (aka Carlytwila)

Thank you for persevering! These pieces are lovely. I hope the weather cooperates!

So, does this mean it will be on the jewelry show as an advance order, or will it be on a September show?

    1. louis dell'olio

It means the factory will try again and we will see if they are successful. It will not be planned for any show until we know for sure that it is produced and in the QVC warehouse. The factory has until mid Sept. to produce it to our specifications, and if they don’t succeed the order will be canceled at the end of Sept….and that will be the end of Green Patina.

Yay, Louis! Thank you for persevering and giving it one last try 🙂 Hope it all works out.

Also, I love that expression, which I haven’t heard in awhile (my Dad’s favorite) and it’s so true…where there’s a will, there IS a way. Perseverance wins everytime.

Thank you SO much for pursuing this special patina finish. Like so many others I’m hoping this time is the charm.
I’ve been longing for this since I saw it many months ago (I’m Pisces, I love green, antiques, patina finishes)!
I’ll “see you” this week. I can’t wait to get the India pendant and the gold Etruscan pieces.

  9. Melissa

Thanks for all your efforts for your Linea ladies. Hope it works out!

    Louis,
I am eternally grateful for your persistence for the quest of green patina treasures! I am one of your green girls. I believe they will come through, and I know I am going to LOVE them. You are the absolute best! Thank you, Thank you.

Zippa di doo da! I may actually have some money by the end of Sept! But, what I’m REALLY thinking is that if THIS comes through, then maybe that slammin’ piece of a patina necklace you showed in a sneak peak just once that really made me sit up might get picked up for spring? THAT’S the one I’VE been dreaming about!

    1. louis dell'olio

Me too….that was for this spring, but we have to drop it for now.

      1. WNYGAL/APRIL

If the plant can pull this off, we’ll know we REALLY have something special to be grateful for!

Thank you, Louis, for this valiant effort. You have the will of the Lion!

Great news this morning, Louis! We will all be hoping that the weather cooperates and the plating can be done successfully on all the pieces.

  14. designista

This its great news! It certainly is worth another try! Thank you for the update!

  15. Qulia/Julia

Just to recap, the green patina pieces include the fish necklace, the Etruscan necklace & earring set, and the Etruscan bracelet?

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

correct, and they are all made in the same factory…..so if they are successful with one they will hopefully be successful with all, but likewise the opposite can be true, but I’m thinking positively!

  16. Seka

Louis, This is Great News! Yes – Fingers Crossed!

  17. Yvette

Oh Louis, you just made my day! Thanks for your persistence. My fingers are crossed!

    1. louis dell'olio

Yvette….there’s still no guarantee that they will be successful, But we are all willing to give it one more try. Who knew that this platting would be such a problem??? They really shouldn’t have the color on the card if they can’t guarantee results, but I did see it and fell in love with it. This is a color Robert Lee Morris uses once in a while for his Couture Line of hand made jewelry. He even made pieces for me for one of my Anne Klein runway shows…..I had no idea it was such a delicate process.
