“OCTOBER SNEAK PEEK # 5”

“October Sneak Peek # 5”, is a STRETCH LACE TOP, A229478. You have been hearing just how IMPORTANT lace is for the season, and I have a few pieces to offer you………this is my first. How does something become a trend? Is it because a retailer says so?……NO…..they only report the trends….or are pushing the merchandise they bought and want you to think it IS a trend…..not necessarily so. After ALL of the runway shows take place around the world…… the “NEW TRENDS” are what showed up  most in  the collections. LACE was a fabric that was used in many collections in the US and Europe….hence a trend is BORN. I can tell you lace will continue into next spring as a “strong trend” and also look out next spring 2013 for stripes done in a myriad of fabrications and designs. Black , White, Vegetable dye and Neutral colors also made a strong showing. Naturally, there are always your typical spring colors too, but the news is B,W, V and N colors………………back to LACE!!!! Did you not think I would do a SPECIAL TOP to go with your new HTC pieces?…….and what a fabulous top it is…..a true DESIGNER combination….LACE and HTC.  The lace is 60% COTTON, and 40% NYLON….giving the lace the stretch and strength. The lining, [body only] is my 100% poly tricot knit…..the same knit I use for my Boho skirt lining…..so you all know it is comfortable and cool. The top has a V-neck which is piped in knit, and a 3/4 sleeve which is unlined………………………………the colors are…………………..BLACK/IVORY, to go with the BLACK /IVORY HTC, and BLACK/VIOLET to go with the BLACK/VIOLET HTC. That is not to say you can’t mix them around, and of course they are to be worn with everything else you own……wear them with your black leather or suede jackets with the knit trims and BLACK JEANS. ……your Black tweed plaid jacket from Sept…….your PEARL TRIMMED jackets from yore….the black Boho and my BLACK DENIM JACKET….. or just under my new BLACK COAT……shall I go on?………I think you get the idea. Let’s hear your ideas how you can see it worn! You always come up with great ideas!! ……………..This top is a year round top…..there is never a need to put it away. Wash and wear and easy packing make it the perfect travel piece……. whether you need it for a dressy business dinner or running around with a pair of jeans. This top gives “casual” a NEW MEANING! Something very important to know is….. this is a very soft lace and therefore a very comfortable garment to wear……and there is lots of stretch so DO NOT SIZE UP!!!! The lace also has a lot of character and dimension……..it looks rich…..not like a LOT of very cheap laces you will be sure to see in every store…………….I will tell you, because of the cotton content….it is not a super BLACK, but it’s black enough! Some of the photos make it look gray…..that’s due to the flash!

I know this is going o become one of your new favorite tops for many reasons…..it can be both casual and dressy, it is easy to take care of, and it’s right on trend, but most of all…….. it’s EASY. When you have made last minute dinner plans with friends…there it is…..when you are going shopping with the girls and you want to look good but not like you are trying too hard….there it is……..ENJOY, I know you will…..much Love…..Louis

By jove I think I’ve got it! Looking at your pictures of the violet/black combo (love violet)I see how my eyes are drawn “into” the entire outfit rather than skimming over it. The color under the lace brings additional depth and sophistication. Wow…

Love your “naughty & nice” combo of leather jacket and lace top. You give us outfits that invite us to try on a new persona. Such stylized fun!
