“THE TUXEDO JACKET”

…………………………I am so happy to be able to bring you the 2018 TUXEDO JACKET, A353558………….I made a strong statement that I though this Tuxedo was a NEW and IMPROVED version. Why? because I think the fabrics chosen for this jacket are better than the original…..This Tuxedo is made in the same fabric as the TRENCH coats and the newest BLACK, PORT and MUSHROOM BLAZERS……….so those of you who already own them know how beautifully they TAILOR. Also, the SATIN that I was able to find this go around has more substance which is important to create a beautiful lapel…………Fabrics that tailor beautifully are the MOST IMPORTANT thing in making a beautiful Tuxedo, or any jacket……..The tailoring is SUPERB!!!….. The design is similar to the original. It’s a THREE BUTTON jacket, and the buttons are covered in the same satin as the lapel. You can either wear the top button closed, the top two buttons closed, all three buttons closed or all three open, as you prefer! The shaping is similar to the blazer. It has princess seams and body darts. The shoulder pads and cap fillers give the Tuxedo a beautiful shoulder line. The working opening of the pockets are made with piped satin bound button holes. Doing the pockets this way enables you to either keep the flap out or tuck it in. You can see this in the two photos to the left………There are no buttons on the sleeves so shortening is an easy alteration if necessary…..The jacket is approx. 28 1/2 inches long for the size 4. In the photos above you see the Tuxedo the way I conceptualized it…..with the matching pant. There is a slight cutaway in the front…….the Tuxedo is fully lined…….. The Tuxedo like the blazer will be numerically sized. I strongly recommend that you buy the same size you bought in the blazer……………….There are many many ways to wear a Tuxedo jacket…………………..I can tell you that you will NEVER find another Tuxedo jacket as beautifully tailored as this one at the price it will be offered to you. You would have to shop in your most expensive boutique or department store to find anything that comes close! and surely it will be three or four times the price if not more…………..This Tuxedo is truly SUPERB!………………….Happy Holidays……………………….much Love………………………Louis

Are the pants pictured in the photo with the tuxedo jacket available on qvc currently? thank you

Dear Kim, They were sold out when I first presented the solid black blazer in the same fabric. Knowing that the pant went with both the blazer and tuxedo the buyer bought extra quantity of the pant, but it still sold out.

Ooooh, Louis this looks like expensive silk crepe. It’s TDF.

    Thank You.

So ELEGANT!! No surprise it’s wonderful & so worth the wait. I’m betting my friends may think it’s an Armani at first glance, but knowing I’m a Linea devotee, will figure it out pretty quickly! Ordered mine 🙂

Gorgeous! Thanks for pointing out that one can either keep the pocket flap out or tuck it in. Nice touch and I don’t think I would have known to do that if you had not mentioned it. Ruth

    Good Morning Louis!

What a surprise to see the new Tuxedo jacket posted. I’ve always said that there are reasons why things happen although I don’t always agree with the powers that be. The storm must have been Sandy because it hit devastated the Jersey shore right around that time.

Have you discussed with the buyers how this jacket will be shipped? I’m sure that everyone would agree that this piece of art should be shipped in a box.

    Thanks for all you do!

Dear Dawn, The way things are shipped is up to QVC. They decided because it raises the price. I really have no say……I can only suggest. This is decided between my manufacturer and QVC.

We can only hope that after the jackets leave the warehouse that the carriers don’t ball up the packages and stuff them in our mailboxes. I’ve even had packages with tire markings too!

Again, THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!

No matter how carefully the jackets are shipped, they will usually need touching up. I’ve had items sent from Neiman Marcus & Saks that arrive wrinkled, so under the circumstances, QVC does a decent job of it. I usually get my Linea jackets and coats from QVC in boxes, wrapped in plastic & tissue paper and folded just once. If wrinkled, I steam them myself or take them to the dry cleaners. It’s no big deal!

Dear Grace. I have seen the way the tuxedos are packaged and it is exactly as you say. I doubt they will be shipped in a box. The problem is when a return gets shipped out. “They” don’t pack them with the same care the factory workers in China do. They have people who only pack clothes, so they are very good at it!
