“THE PORT VELVET SKIRT”

……………………I LOVE a flowy velvet skirt for fall, and NOT just for the Holidays!………….This is a CRUSHED VELVET, which is becoming very popular this year………The color above is……PORT! It’s a wonderful texture to add to you PORT COLLECTION………..How fabulous will you look in your new PORT CRUSHED VELVET SKIRT, A343559, YOUR PORT SLEEVELESS MOCK NECK TUNIC, tucked it easily! A343029, and your crop Cardigan, A343031……Now, make your entrance with you new BIG DEAL LEATHER TOPPER in PORT casually worn over the whole enchilada! WOW…..double WOW!…..Starting at the top….the skirt has a velvet covered elastic waist band with a center stitch to avoid any twisting…..There are two tiers to this skirt with an approx. 5 3/4 inch ruffle at the bottom. The length, from the bottom of the waist band is approx. 32 inches……You can easily pull it up or down a good inch or more depending on your comfort……At this point I think it would be a wise move to invest in a BURGUNDY BOOT, PUMP and BOOTIE to go with all of your PORT BOTTOMS. QVC has quite a few options while they are still avail. I have found the “Burgundy” color works best. The wine can be too light. If you need style numbers of my choices let me know…… Of course Burgundy gloves would be nice too!……………Above, I have the PLUM CARNIVAL necklace….One or two seem to always pop back into inventory!…..The new GUNMETAL HOOP works great!………..This will be avail on Nov.19th…………………………………..

enjoy…………………much Love…………………………..Louis

It’s too bad that the buyer’s ran out of money (or whatever their decision was) and didn’t order this in petite. I’m passing on this beautiful skirt because of the length. For me at 5’5.5″ and wear lower heels, it would be about ankle length on me – too long for me for how I like to wear skirts, dresses. I’ve been ordering your skirts and dresses, about seven of them now (I’m fairly new to Linea), in the petite lengths and this works well for me. Maybe next year….

I’m purchasing each & every one of these velvet skirts!!! Beautiful.

These are gorgeous! Will any of the new velvet tops match the skirts?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No Melissa, the styles aren’t really made to go with one another. I guess you could but the black with the black or a color top with the black, but I did not envision them that way.

      1. Melissa W

        Ok. Thanks for responding Louis!

Now I regret not getting the twinset in port. I got the mock neck in port but foolishly only got the navy and black sets. Was trying to budget somewhat. It’s been hard not to get everything you’ve offered this season!

This is beautiful Louis! Does it come in petite?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

NO Bernadette. I think the buyer ran out of money!

      1. Bernadette

No worries. I can always get it shortened! 😃. Have a terrific day.

Louis, will this be in numerical sizing or S,M,L, and so on? So very beautiful. I have been stalking the port cropped cardigan and the port Big Deal in a 14. No luck yet but I look several times a day!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathleen it will be S,M,L like all of my tiered skirts

  6. Marta

Please let me know what the boot/pump/booties your recommend. Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marta…..the pickings in pumps and booties are getting slim. There are many more choices in boots, but here is what there is:
      Boots, A295022, A295884, A295026, A297950, A311244 [wine], A343501, A298314, A302014 [black only]
Pumps, A342841, wine velvet [I use these the most, they match the port tights], A311142, is the perfect color, but it does have the pompom. Very slim pickings in pumps
Booties, A344065. The booties I have used are sold out. You may do better in the stores, but it is getting late for fall shoes.

I was lucky to get the Marc Fisher boots at the “as is” price- couldn’t resist! Now the pom-poms are calling me!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will say I was hesitant about the pompoms, but the color was so good it didn’t bother me, especially with the matching port tights!

        Louis,
I know that numbers are not your friend 🙂 so I thought I would correct the number you listed as the first in the list of pumps to coordinate with the port color…it should be A342841.
        Jean

Dear jeancp, Thank you. I learned later in life that I have dyslexia. Jac always handled, not happily, the bills and anything that had to do with numbers keeping. I realized why I was so bad in math in school, and no one looked into why. When I went to NYU I took my math requirements in summer school because I heard it was easier. I got a “B”. Don’t ask me how. It was a true miracle. Keep checking my numbers. It surly will happen again.

      3. Marta

Thanks Louis. I went with the pompom heel. I will wear this with your port tights. We have already received 3 invitations for Christmas/Holiday parties that this will be perfect. I will also wear the Tuxedo Jacket and sequined pants and the Pearl sweater with the fly front pant that matches the blazer or the slim Ponte Pant.

      hi Marta
I just received my Franco Sarto boots in dark burgundy and they match well with my port velvet dress and wn skirt in port.
They were not in my usual wheelhouse since they are over the knee but I saw how they could be scrunched down and either way will work for me. They are faux suede. They have sizes 6.5-9 available and some wides.
They are in $80 range on sale. Check them out.
